I accidentally drew the same goddamn pose 3 times lmao. Why is posing legs so hard i always fall back on posing them in the shape of a 4. Also, new freak!! Her name is Jerryjack. More about her + individual images + couple other things below the cut vvv

I don’t think I’ve posted any drawings of her other than her first, but i’ve been drawing rig a lot more like this rather than that first one. More graphic head shape, more upright ears, one eye hidden, mouth hidden by scarf, what have you. I think she looks cooler and is way easier to draw like this, but is a little less sonicy, im sure I’ll find a balance sometime. Rare carrion non-blep, this pose is cool but i did not even try cleaning this up lol.

And jerryjack!! She sucks so bad i love her. They’re Rig’s best friend, known each other since they were kids and learned the trade (killing) under the same mentor. She’s 11 months older than Rig, so she’s about 25ish. She hates consistency, commitment, seriousness, kids, stagnation, compassion, anything boring, and many many other things. She loves anything fun, stirring shit, lying, inflicting blunt force trauma, herself, lockpicking, and money. She’s purely self-interested and does everything she does for funsies. She’s not a part of the postal crew cause she thinks it’s boring and is allergic to commitment but hangs around and ‘helps out’ sometimes. She’s a hitman on her own, and has way more connections through that than rig, occasionally floats jobs her way. Also sometimes places bounties on her when shes mad. Or just cause.

Unlike Jerry, Rig is a very routine and organized person. She wakes up every morning at 6 sharp despite not being a morning person. Miraculously, she and jerry lived together for 2 years and during that time rig ate microwaved oatmeal every single morning and got groceries on tuesdays. All this is to say Rig is very methodical and likes routing and things that are expected. So Jerry lost their shit when rig called them randomly and casually told them that she’s starting a non-euphemistic postal service and also spontaneously took in a couple kids. Naturally, she’s very wary of squabble and carrion, especially the latter. Assassin recognizes assassin, silly recognizes silly, they try to kill each other and then become besties (who still periodically attempt to kill each other). As for squabble, she’s surprisingly fun to interact with, so jerry warms up fairly quick and becomes a truly awful influence on her.

Here’s the first drafts and base. She’s obviously a jackalope but calls herself a hare for some reason. Is part of that reason because i couldn’t think of a pun name other than jack like jackrabbit and ‘jack the jackalope’ sounded a little too stupid for my taste (as if ‘jerryjack’ isn’t stupider)? Ummmmmmm.

Anyway, i decided to nix the asymmetrical antlers cause theres a limit to how much asymmetry i should stuff into a set of characters, carrion’s already got the lopped off ear and etc. the back and tail marking is supposed to emulate ribs

I’m still super duper undecided on jerry’s outfit and colour scheme. Every outfit ive thought up so far feels way too simple or untethered to reality in comparison to the postal crew’s, however i think the postal crew is a bit too complicated (or way too complicated in squabble’s case) and too grounded for sonic, so. Idk what to do abt that. And as for their colour scheme, as seen above her first drafts have the same red and green of the postal crew, but seeing as she doesn’t work with them it’s definitely the better choice to diverge from that. Saturated orange is the most tense and unsettling colour to me so i think it suits her off putting nature, but the white and orange combo reminds me intensely of like. 1960s egg chairs. WAIT and ulala space channel 5. And various stupid tech startup kitchen gadgets. Just generally a combo with a lot of nonthreatening and safe associations rather than the warning sign i want. Idk man i’ll workshop it eventually.

Also, cloak rig. Her previous red coat was stupid. Not sure how much smarter this is but it looks cooler. Still doesn’t usually wear it other than in towns to hide her wings or when it’s cold. Also also this is the same fucking pose again

JUMPING UP AND DOWN THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!!! I really like trying to keep him more on the canon side of things (mostly..... i cant help myself guys if i dont give him wrinkles ill actually shrivel up and blow away /j ) and i love that it seems like im pretty close!!! As close as i can get at least!! Also Im SO glad he comes across as greasy because he totally is lmfao. I really try my absolute hardest to understand and soak up how he would act and whatnot and i always hope its working when I do the asks lol. But, i mean, thats what theyre for. I am always learning and growing when it comes to this guy :thumbsup: Consistency? Never heard of her.

i saw someone use this picrew (https://picrew.me/en/image_maker/1564386) to try recreating their tavs, and i wanted to give it a try (possibly also because im too lazy to draw them) in spirit of bg3 being released :D mind you these won't all be 100% accurate to in-game appearance but close enough alongside my personal envisions

i've only played as one of them in early access,, i may or may not have taken the time to plan the rest of my tavs for future gameplays LMAO yes i am that kind of person when it comes to rpgs🫡 the common thread between all of them is feeling out of place, and how each of them deal with it in their own ways

ismene farahani-diamandis (she/her) my chaotic good human sorcerer in wild magic (i'm thinking about multiclassing paladin for her but idkk), my first tav and honestly kind of my favorite :') even created a backstory for her parents too. a catastrophe in more ways than one, but truly one of the most caring and fun-loving people, like a disney princess but just a bit more disastrous. a bit of a dreamer who longs to be loved and have adventure like the heroes in stories told by her father, but has often felt she cannot have both or either whether it was due to the utter though consistent bad luck when she tried or feelings of unworthiness because of others even when they did her wrong (aka a list of exes). she has lost most of her family outside her younger, paladin brother and distant noble family in mulmaster, who she has no interest in reaching after her mother's departure as a young adult with her father (it's a very long story involving a rogue noble and a wizard from a family of barbarians). first it was her father from an incident causing his memory then life to be slowly eaten away, her younger sister the one time she was far from home to a village raid, then her own mother the minute she garnered a name for herself as a hero amongst the people. she has since felt a lost sense of purpose, having no family or loved ones to put first having been the eldest sibling for so long, and strong guilt in wanting to pursue more with the unpredictable yet wondrous abilities she was born with, as she has felt she has failed to use them to save precious lives time and time again

even so, ismene is someone who chooses and wants to do good or the best possible thing no matter what challenge stands ahead and hopes that despite everything, she can find a way to be her happy, flirty self once again. trying to make the most of the brain worm situation and genuinely aspires to befriend all in her party, even though most of them prove difficult. lucky for her, if shes anything, shes stubborn enough to keep trying anyways in her newfound but chaotic family--it's almost refreshing to be in a band of fellow disasters. really stuck on either astarion or halsin for her romance because i think story-wise, her and astarion in my brain just are really interesting dynamically and have been in EA, but halsin would probablyyy be her most ideal partner (cause she honestly deserves at least one stable part in her life LMAO) but HEY---MAYBE THEY CAN POLY *if* larian allows it, her mbti/enneagram is ENFP 7w6

amée tanor'thal (she/her) will be my second playthrough, a neutral good seladrine drow cleric of selûne in the life domain. her backstory is probably my favorite amongst everyone, she's actually the mother of my first and only d&d character that i got to play about a year ago now :D i already had her story in mind alongside her daughter (obviously), and thought bg3 would be a good opportunity to play as her. she's always been more reserved and cautious in nature, someone who always tries to consider things beyond how they're presented in front of her. the inquisitiveness is what led her to learn more beyond her corrupt family, religion, and the normalized suffering within her home at the tanor'thal manor in skullport, she went through a lot to escape from it. initially, it was her and a group of hidden eilistraee followers in the city who she planned an escape route with, amée had met them through a boy around her age that she befriended on one of her secret escapades. they opened her to the possibility of a world filled with joy---with light, a life that the underdark, her own family would consume and make impossible for anyone to have. unfortunately, the heavy security made the journey abruptly take a turn for the worse. amée wound up separated from everyone as they continued the planned path, whilst she wound up chased by her own family on a completely different one; she barely escaped with her life. she followed a path of stars, scared and unsure, and it wound up leading her to a church of selûne in waterdeep where she was kindly taken in for sanctuary.

upon learning more and speaking with the clerics and daily visitors, choosing to serve her and the philosophy of having choice and helping to guide those who are lost, amée is a rare and often misunderstood person in the church. it is something she is aware of but is far more concerned in carving a path of peace for all those who need it---especially misunderstood folk of the underdark. despite her gloomy appearance, she is easily one of the most compassionate souls, one who has sworn to devote her life to healing instead of hurting, though she may or may not have had to kill off most of the family sent to the surface to take her life, including her own mother. needless to say, she'll spill a bit of blood here and then and maybe roll with all the evil goons who give her easy access because they think she's evil too. she's a bit funny and often direct, albeit unintentionally. anywho, she'll be romancing gale, who will not only engage her in intelligent conversation but in a child-like wonder through magic after devoting much of her life to her personal cause. i also feel like his romance route has the potential to be veryy angsty cause of his magic chest bomb so. sorry amée. her mbti/enneagram is an INFJ 1w2 :)

fynn tranquilfoot (they/them) will be my third playthrough, a true neutral rock gnome monk specializing in the way of the shadow. from a relatively normal family in comparison to a lot of my own characters tbh LOL, they stem from a gunsmith family business that has flowed for generations in a city full of fellow gnome entrepreneurs and inventors. fynn never flowed well with it and was rather easily overwhelmed by it at an early age. as a kid they expressed no genuine interest in anything really, and instead preferred doing nothing, so long as they were allowed to be alone. it was something that did not sit well with their family. fynn was to carry the mantle of their success, history, and more children to keep things going, which did not, in fact, sit well with them no matter how many of their peers in the same family dynamic gushed about their shared lifestyles and destinies. it was yet another thing they could not relate to, among other things being thrust upon them as labels they never asked for; fynn quickly became the talk of their town. they never cared to argue against them or their parent's complaints; "better to play dead to stay alive", then nothing could truly nag at them. however, if there was something that gnawed at them at all, it was a distinct lack of purpose. they had spent so long doing nothing to the point it almost felt depressing to not be really good at anything; it was one boat ride away that allowed fynn to venture around the mainland and see entirely different things.

one day they saw a monk stealing a noble of all they had in only five seconds, asked how they could do what they did and the rest is history. they went to the same temple, learned the same techniques, and found they were quite good at all of it. fynn knew that sometimes the assassination gigs weren't the most morally correct, or that even when it was they wouldn't get any credit for the deed, and they were content with that. fynn is not someone who has any desire to be remembered and is passionate about the life they've led for themselves and protecting that peace it gave them. they're a rather smart and self-aware individual, and quite understanding as they're not very judgemental. isn't opposed to knowing their party, but has no plans of sticking around at the end either, while the parasites possible power to heighten their prowess at work is intriguing, they're aware that trusting its stability in the long run is likely dumb (but somehow they aren't exactly opposed). plan to romance them with wyll : ) i think his desire to have purpose vs. their lack of desire for one will somehow end up complimenting and opening each other up. their mbti/enneagram is ISTP 9w8

meet magdalena (or mags for short) of berdusk (any pronouns are fine), a chaotic neutral half-orc school of valour bard, and the physical embodiment of the term "here for a good time, not a long time". her story is relatively simple and feel-good in comparison to my other tavs, and i already know i'll end up having the most fun playing him aside from ismene LOL her human dad and orc mom are easily the best parents anyone could ask for, endlessly supportive and loving to whatever their child would choose to do or be as they navigated what he liked and didn't, even though their collective eccentric personalities made them stick out like sore thumbs even in a populated city like berdusk. nonetheless, neither of her parents really cared what people thought so inevitably, he didn't either and in turn became an unapologetically confident and outspoken person. mags learned music from her initially nomadic parents, who traveled all over faerûn sharing their own music, dances and stories, and it became yet another thing they inherited and completely loved. the more he wrote, composed, and sang while playing her father's harp, the stronger mags' music undeniably became, practically wooing anybody that came near it---even those who picked on every surface-level thing about him became unable to deny the magnetism (get it) magdalena of berdusk possessed. they enlisted into a bard academy, attending for years until magdalena found the curriculum to be severely boring, leaving only a year before they would have graduated.

her parents, of course, cheered them on.

so from then on, magdalena felt the rest of faerûn was ready to hear his songs, constantly writing while on the roads, fighting weird shit, performing at nearly every tavern she could find (and shagging only the finest of folk on the way). no matter what though, mags always makes sure to find the time and place to write to her parents no matter where he is and even with a creepy crawly worm in his brain. the situation doesn't necessarily phase them aside from the fact the idea of a worm in her brain skeeves her out a bit, like what if it lays eggs or something? she doesn't exactly understand the full circumstance. other than that, mags is content with chilling with these newfound travel partners of his and seeing where the course takes them, and even if he is to die inevitably she hopes that by the end of it, he'll have a sick ass album to compile before they can. she truly enjoys to savor and experience, so naturally i'm pairing them with shadowheart of all people LOL they'll probably soften each other up. also probably only gives into the tadpole for a while in exchange for the wicked sex dreams until their gf is like "alright you goob can you maybe stop before it kills you faster". mags is an ESFP 8w7 !!

last but not least is zaludra strombjörn (she/her), a lawful neutral wood elf enchantment wizard. omfg shes honestly such a sourpuss LMAO she'll end up likely being my most "evil" route (and by that i mean i have a hard time making mean choices in game lol), but she'll also end up having the most significant development. from a young age, zaludra never had the easiest time connecting with others, and wasn't really allowed to due to her condition. albinism wound up giving her severely overprotective parents who didn't even let her skin go near where sunlight pierced the ground. thus her whole childhood essentially was this reinforced idea that she was deadweight, something that didn't do wonders for her self-esteem as she was unable to directly contribute to anything in her village. in the silence, zaludra only grew a resentment for her home and the situation she was in, only finding more things to dislike about the wooden elf's way of life.

the only time she felt any sort of gratification was in occasional conversations with the only person who would talk to her outside of her parents, her village's sole druid. their magic captivated zaludra, the ability to be anything else, to be something great was---and begged to learn their ways. unfortunately, a severe lack of connection to her people or home made it impossible, and zaludra was back where she started. so, she resorted to other means of obtaining the art of magic; zaludra would venture the nights in the nearest town over in magic shops draped in whatever cloth could cover her skin, checking out basic spell casting books from the local libraries. the more she practiced magic in secret, the more determined she became to be the best in it. overtime it became clear zaludra was a natural genius in the arcanic arts, even learning to craft potions as well, concoctions of her own to make her condition easier to live with rather than hiding in shame because of it. she left her home publicly declaring it beneath her and the potential it had hidden her from and set off to further her education in the city of silverymoon where she only continued to succeed.

she would prove everyone wrong she thought, all of them, including the people who should have supported her the most---her own parents. but highkey though shes super lonely but basically represses that with her undying ambition, but then city and school life makes her highkey more annoyed by other people (likely because she had no clue how to connect with them but dont tell her that). probably will want to learn how to control the tadpole at first for her own power until she starts to unexpectedly not hate her companions, especially karlach because a fine ass tiefling solves everyones emotional problems <3 also i hc that her and astarion get confused as siblings/twins all the time cause of how similar they look she probably hates it. also shes an ISTJ 3w4

Do you have a set process for coloring and rendering / adding texture to your art? If so, would it be alright for me to ask what goes into that process? I'd love to learn how an artist I admire goes about their work!

Omg I'm so flattered, I'll try my best to explain it!! ^^

Tho, okayyy, I apologize beforehand for how incoherent this might be, since I don't really have a set process at all and mostly I fake it 'til i make it haha. I'm the first to admit that I don't have a ver consistent method and that shows in how irregular in quality my art can look, even inside the general sketchy look.

(Btw sorry if some of the fanart i use for example doesn't make you comfortable but I've tried to find the best examples for each type of coloring haha)

I'll start with the brushes I rely on the most, tho I admit i made the mistake of downloading too many brushes and textures so I might use others on rare occassions xddd

These are basically the brushes I use the most. The "mezclador redondo" is just CSP's default paintbrush and I only tweaked it to find sth I liked and felt comfortable with for both lining and painting

As you can see here I only used one layer for lines and other three for each of the guys' colors. I colored it all with the default brush (tho unfortunately I lost the settings I used for this drawing in particular and haven't found them again rip). In drawings like this I just do a sketch, clean the lines (no lineart) and then paint it. After the base color I start laying out different hues to make the coloring more interesting.

This one was the same. One layer for coloring, manually adding lighter hues (see the more light and yellowish color on grovyle's left leg compared to the shadow) or darker tones. I try to add color to the shadows as well to make them feel less flat, and an airbrush in overlay tends to help with that (tho here I just used a brush).

Here you can see that I often paint over the lines on another layer to correct mistakes in the "lineart" lol. I also applied an airbrush (layer mode overlay) over celebi to make her more bright. I wanted to put this one to show that coloring doesn't have to be detailed to look nice enough. Here Celebi basically has no shadows at all but the tone of the drawing makes her look cute anyways imo ^^

In these two you can see adjustements over the full image again (yellow layer), but I also wanted to show that I don't have a set number of layers either, it depends on how many I feel like using. Again, sorry for the lack of consistency but im too lazy to have a proper method lmao

I will also use harder brushes and tone changes sometimes, instead of blending them with less dense brushes. I am also fond of adding hard lighting in some drawings. You can experiments with it on a top layer and delete it if it doesn't fit, so it's always worth a try.

Another thing I recommend is studying and copying artists you admire or like. Add things from their styles into yours, see how they work with proportions and try to use that in your own art. It has helped me a lot and, without looking to fully copy anyone's style, it does give you some ideas of how you wish your drawing would look, which motivates me (when it doesn't depress me lol)

Finally, the texturing isn't consistent either. I use one of CSP's/Downloaded texture packs, put a grainy texture on the canvas, set it to overlay and adjust the opacity until I'm satisfied. In these two images you can see I am not consistent in coloring even in the same comic lmao. But we are doing this for fun, so I think experimentation is always sth worth exploring ^^

And I think that's all I have to say. I don't control color theory at all, so I can't really explain how I choose colors. I look up some tutorials on youtube and pretend I understand lol. Ig the one thing I tend to do a lot is changing hues in a base color to make it look less flat, the same as with shadows.

A = Care after intercourse (What they are like after sex)

Looking at Kumadori's serious demeanor and adherence to the bushido code of honor, he would take post-sex care very seriously. He would try to please his partner as much as possible after the sinful act, including sharing a bath, a meal, lots of cuddling, eating and resting in bed. He would draw his partner close to him, drawing patterns on his back with his finger in silence.

B = Body part (Their favorite part of their and their partner's body)

He would love his partner's entire body, from his fingertips to his hair. But as if he had to choose already, I would choose the hands. They are tiny in his and that makes his heart squeeze, he thinks they are very cute and delicate.Besides, he loves to hold his partner's hands during intercourse. (In a small hand everything seems bigger. He He such a joke).

In himself he would like hair and shoulders. The hair? Because they are long and shiny, he is very proud of them. As I remember he can manage them and he would like to wrap them around his partner, he would not let his partner move too much. His shoulders are quite wider and he often got compliments from his partner about them. thanks to this he started to like them, I mean he liked them but they were not his favorite.

C = Sperm (basically anything to do with sperm)

His sperm is thick and there is a lot of it (By growth mainly) It tastes a little salty and it is a reasonably pleasant taste. He tries his best not to eat too much cheese and not to have a very salty taste. She prefers to come in her partner to leave the order, but there are also times that she can't come in her partner. She then prefers to come in a condom or in her partner's mouth. I don't want to waste my sperm. There are times where he had to reach his partner's back, etc. And he felt a little bad because he got his love dirty, of course, then he washed his partner thoroughly.

D = Dirty secret (Pretty obvious, their dirty secret)

If his partner is already post-gender reassignment, he has a quiet dirty secret to get him going. He's not quite sure why, because he likes to dominate his partner. But deep down he has this little fantasy, he won't tell his partner…. For now.

However, if the partner has not yet had surgery then he has the same fantasy, but with a Belt with an artificial silicone penis.

E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they are doing?)

I don't think he is the most experienced. As a CP9 agent and then a CP0 agent, he didn't have much time for such pastimes. His work was very important to him, and he didn't want to fail through human pleasures. Of course, he had a few sexual encounters but they could be counted on the fingers of both hands. Only with his regular partner would he be more open to the sinful act. He is not very experienced but learns quickly from his partner's reactions. He watches his partner a lot, memorizes, learns and makes intercourse with him unearthly.

F = Favorite position (This goes without saying)

Standard missionary. He enjoys watching his partner and, as I said earlier, holding his little hands in his own. This is what he lives for. He is not averse to other positions but this is his such a favorite, he has easy access to his partner's mouth, their hands, his sensitive neck. It's simply something that jars him.

G = Goofy (Are they more serious at any given time? Are they witty? etc.)

No. Kumadori is a serious samurai. He can be romantic and touchy, but he won't be funny. To him this is an important act and such jokes are not for such moments.

H = Hair (How neat is it? Does the carpet match the curtains? etc.)

He tries to be trimmed at the bottom, for his own comfort but also for his partner when he satisfies him with his mouth. His curtain is nicely trimmed and so is his hair, which is pink in color, though I might add that it is quite stiff.

I = Intimacy (what are they like at the moment? romantic aspect)

Romantic and serious. He tries to please his partner as much as possible, he wants to lift the sky for him. Therefore, he will try 200%. This is a very intimate moment for him and he wants to share it in the bedroom, without prying eyes. And, of course, in a romantic mood.

J = Wanking a horse (headcanon masturbation)

He does it, but not that often. Usually when he's on a mission and there's no partner next to him, or when his partner is busy and Kumadori doesn't want to disturb him. He usually does it just to come, it doesn't give him too much pleasure, but it will help get rid of the visible bulge.

K = Kink (one or more of their refractions)

Size breakdown. He loves the fact that he has a smaller partner. (He would have had a smaller partner anyway, after all, he himself is 338 cm.) The fact that he can easily nail him to the wall, take him easily, carry him around like a child. Domination is easy in this too, and he likes it.

Domination. He lives to dominate his partner. it gives him a sense of power and the fact that he is in charge. He is more of a romantic Dom but further, he is in charge.

Tying his partner, with a red rope or his hair. Extra power over the partner, and the fact that the partner looks so beautiful tied up. Like a gift, His little gift.

L = Location (favorite places to have sex)

Shared bedroom. Or a hotel room, where they can be alone. I don't want anyone to see his partner naked. It's a view only for him, Well and in peace he can do what he likes, he also doesn't want to interrupt intercourse because someone walks in on them. He just doesn't.

M = Motivation (what excites them, what turns them on)

All the sounds a partner makes, gentle touch. E.g. the partner sliding his hands over his shoulders, catching his hands, poking his hips. Sounds drive him more, little sighs, gasps, moans, moaning his name is what drives him the most. Wherever he is and his partner whispers his name like that, he'll be ready. But he won't do it here, only in the bedroom behind a closed door.

Hurting the partner, he wouldn't survive it. Of course, he ties him but doesn't injure him, plus he ties these ropes gently so as not to leave a mark on his partner's body. He would not survive seeing tears of pain in his partner's eyes.

O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skills, etc.)

Injection Tips for Needle Nervous

From someone who had to deal with a fear of needles while learning how to do testosterone shots. To be clear, I'm 28 years old and have been doing weekly IM injections in my thighs for 18 months.

PREP -Listen to the information given for the possible injection sites; you may prefer or find it easier to deal with IM vs SubQ based on the options your doctor gives you. If you're able, schedule at least 6-8 injection days of clinic visits so a nurse can teach you how to inject properly, and you can take your time absorbing. If you're still nervous, try purchasing a 'shot blocker' since they can help with not feeling the needle. If it's the possible pain that bothers you, I used to pinch hard at the area with my nails to sort of say 'that's what you're expecting, see, it's not that bad!' This technique has also helped me with getting my blood drawn, which to go on T you'll have to deal with as well.

ROUTINE -Once I left the supervision of the clinic nurses and started injecting at home, I made sure to establish a routine. You'll need to find your own, and here's mine for reference; with a little wiggle room (like doing it in the morning if I know I'll be busy in the evening) I stick to the same rhythm every week. Set up my station, use the toilet (you don't want to be antsy handling a needle), press play on a song and wash hands, then my draw system [sanitize stopper, draw, switch needle size, get rid of air bubbles, adjust to relax, sanitize thigh, breathe, inject, pressure with a tissue until the song ends], then I clean up and put the needles immediately in my sharps box. It really helps to know exactly what you're getting into so unexpected changes (like injecting while a little drunk, I don't recommend this but it might happen) are easier to handle.

DISCIPLINE -I put on a 5 minute song and do my whole routine in that time, it works for me. Too short and you'll feel rushed, too long and you might procrastinate, so get into the habit. I give myself a four hour window and as soon as I feel like I could do it, I go for it.

CHILL -As mentioned, I put on a song, for me stoner metal or blues works the best since it soothes and zones me in. I do my shot in the evening so if I freak out a bit I can just go to bed. I put on my comfiest layers and have a treat after, too.

EXPERIMENT -While there are aspects of it all you must do a certain way, you won't always know the best way to do things for yourself of available options even once you've been taught, so let yourself feel it out. I was shown the quick jab method at first to get over my hesitation, but now I find I feel it less if I insert the needle slowly. I switched from 25G to 22G needles when the smaller size proved more difficult to inject due to the consistency of testosterone, and I also found a shorter needle length got rid of some residual anxiety over the actual insertion part. I used to do everything in the morning and now I solely do it in the evening. You can change some parts of the process to make yourself feel better!

FRIEND -I've got an assistant who sits on my other leg while I go through my routine, his name is Snippers;

And I've found I'm less jittery with him there and my heart races less in the preamble to actually piercing skin. I keep him with me afterwards especially if I had a harder time than usual, which can happen even after doing this a long time.

And lastly;

BELAY THAT -Give yourself an out. Besides a situation like if I run out before my prescription can get refilled, I told myself I could skip one (1) injection per year, if I was having a super bad time and just couldn't. So far I haven't had to use it -at the most I've just waited until the next evening. My doctor has said that's fine and I don't have to inform her if I skip once, but that might not be the same for everyone. Either way I think giving yourself breathing room is essential to take the pressure off -self-injecting might be affirming, but it isn't always fun or easy!

I also think it should go without saying that these tips are things that have helped based on my own personal experience from the past year and a half. It's fine if they don't work for you or you don't think they're helpful at all -the trans* experience is wide and varied. I'm also not giving anyone medical advice -always learn how to properly administer your medication from a professional. Here is an article about general HRT self injection that may be some help.

But, if you do have difficulty with needles, hopefully this gave you some tips and tricks that could make the process feel more manageable.

Briarstar has a very tranquil air about her. She takes every challenge with stride and poise, and never lets her weakness be shown. Juniperhop - Briarstar’s mentor. Her bubbly and chipper personality brought out some of the hidden positivity in Briarpaw, and their training consisted of not only learning how to hunt and fight, but how to navigate life and find beauty in little things.

Duckstep - Duckpaw was Briarflight’s first apprentice when she was a freshly-made warrior. Many people worried about Duckpaw’s ability to be a warrior, considering the crooked paw he was born with. Briarflight, before the apprentice ceremony, specifically asked for Duckpaw, as she knew what it was like to be shy and reluctant. Throughout his apprenticeship, Briarflight taught him how to use his weight to climb and fight to his advantage, and he grew to be one of the most respected warriors in the clan.

Stormwish - Stormpaw was Briarflight’s second and latest apprentice. Stormpaw also happens to be Briarstar’s niece! They both are very similar in personality, and are quite close to this day.

Olivenose - Briarstar trusts her medicine cat very deeply, and both are very close and discuss clan matters quite often

update

after i broke down school (the day of the deadline) because of how anxious i was about this whole ordeal - my best friend immediately tried to figure a way around the issue and told me he'll try to coax the teacher into listening to him which was so daring because that teacher is very true to her words and she had really high standards for all of us

it was so hard to talk that day. my head hung so low and i couldn't even hear the lessons because of how mentally distraught i was that day - i had to use my notebook to talk to him because if i talked, i know my sobs and hiccups will be heard and i hate attracting attention. he immediately noticed how distant i acted and it i quickly clicked back to the comic i made back then and. idk. I'm just surprised how accurate that was. i dunno. self projection works ig

either way. at the end of the day - my teacher acknowledged the concern and extended it up to sunday this week

i'm happy but i'm still really. not happy. happy because im given one more chance to work on it but unhappy because - i feel that this could've been worked out much better. or better yet. not a fucking animation

and. im also pissed. really pissed

well for one. im not taking the multimedia art course anymore in college. eye opening moment for me

and two - thanks to many people telling me this; you don't have to make it high effort just to please everyone. its okay to dumb it down because an artist's eyes isnt the same as a normal one. another eye opening moment to me

and i guess the trailer was only good for getting everyone to buy our movie tickets. idk

but. the trailer wasnt mandatory. i just learned that and i was really upset.

again. should i be mad or not? I don't know but it just happens. its a double edged sword

another thing that really made me angry was how everyone thinks this is going to be a walk in the park for me. its not. it's not. "she'll do okay because she can draw" "we're going to win some awards thanks to her" god i wish i never heard those i don't even know the first thing about animation im just really lucky to have nicole help me as she's a genuine aspiring animator.

either way im just so ready to forget all of this when im done. i don't want to share this project to friends because i'm more or less traumatized mentally and physically about this and I don't want to recall it again and i'm dead serious about it.

it also doesnt help that i keep getting called a slacker at home for not doing the animation. if only you understand what im feeling. did you not take the hint when i slept early twice? yeah. yeah maybe you should get it next time. just got told that while i was typing this . hahhah

i've lost my energy to be happy and even to selfship (but with one exception i guess) because the last 2 days i just find myself crying to sleep over how angry i am and it sucks because i cant catch up to what my friends are doing and I don't want to be the lump of coal that opposes their energy everytime i come to them which is why i'm just here to rot and complain about it. i know they're willing to be there to help me destress. i know they're worried about me. but i have to consider the external factors (which is. being accused of being a slacker when im in need of comfort from my friends). if i was the only person in the house then i would've done it in a heartbeat

i don't sound the same right now and it all culminates to this. it's almost a month and this is eating me alive consistently to no end. i get bursts of joy here and there but it doesn't outweigh how tired i am

but thankfully i'm given another chance to work on it so.

now im just praying i can make it. im praying

hello, cohost of a relatively newly discovered system here, i just saw a post you made in response to new system ask, and i was curious about how we would go about developing an innerworld.

i am led to believe we have aphantasia, so we cant "picture" anything in our head so i dont know if that prevents us from having a headspace/innerworld. i know some systems just dont have a headspace (a roommate of mine has DID and she has told us that she does not have a headspace, and she cannot communicate with her sysmates outside a discord server)

anyways, i was just curious if there would be a way for us to try devloping an innerworld or not after reading that post. ty

I can be of help to you, but this will heavily depend on yourselves as im here only capable of sharing what might work, from my own experiences.

To understand what makes innerworld an innerworld, by simple means,, it is a place that is reconstructed by senses mentally, vision (mental images) is one of them. You see where this is going.. right?

What if you try it by theory, i know you can't imagine, but im sure you know what it'll be like correct? For first advice, a small but functional innerworld will do because navigating in a big one whilst being 'blind' does not spark joy. Ok so, let's start the steps:

Using your other senses (tactile and hearing) as advantage: How do you want your floors,, is it solid, warm to touch and smooth? That could be porcelain. Straight ridges, un-even textures and cool to touch? That could be wood planks. Fluffy, scruffy texture and it damps noises? That could be carpet/rug floors. Now how do you want your walls,, is it wallpaper patterns you can feel by tactile? Maybe you want it the regular way that is painted smoothly? How thick or thin do you want it to be, enough to produce an echo from a knock or nothing at all? The rest then lies on personalization like furnitures and decorations,, i bet you can do this yourself. Also recommend you by practicing with little things for now and work from there, to bigger things.

Map it out: after determining which fits best, this is where the floor plan is arranged, you might want to draw it out physically (or use apps/webs its ok), from arial, or from side, or in 3d,, anything works. This will help you keep the world consistent as you can't see, as well as serving as a map to navigate around. I also have aphantasia where i can barely see anything as it fleets away so fast (i believe its in a spectrum, i saw it), leaving me having to navigate by touching the walls and guess the floor and temperature (i think windows make rooms feel hotter and in this case my living room has a big balcony). Do not over do the items as it can block your walking route leading to unnecessary bumps, if you want shelves or something hanged above, place them in a reasonable spot because bumping to it by forehead or elses is annoying.. i changed the height of my hanged shelf at the end and it never happen again. Especially if you don't have the innate 'gps' to navigate around.

Teamwork makes dreamwork: I assure you that you don't want to do this alone.. why not share some ideas of what the fronting room should 'look' like, or what the communal place should,, this is honestly done to make everyone feel at ease living in it, as well as sharing the work. You CAN do this yourself but it feels overwhelming and could lead to a burn out.. anyway, it'll take a while to properly build a world, so don't feel bad if its still going to be on progress for months,, no worlds are made perfectly in one try. Incase if you want to remodel the world to a new one at future, just repeat the steps.

Hope this serves you as an insight, this has definitely work for me, and i am not 100% sure it could for you, though, you still learn a few things from here. If you feel like giving up or see this as too much work there is no shame,, and so, i wish you the best luck.

and here’s the love letter ive been meaning to write all the way back in august. it’s a bit personal but also vague . I am speaking from a soapbox next to a quiet intersection and pouring my heart out

im happy to see how ive improved throughout the years, and in some aspects stayed completely the same apparently. ve been jumping around 1000 brushes and 10000 more art styles ive never stayed consistent because I wanted something new and all I had was myself ! so apparently it became whatever happened here.

It’s true I had a lot more steam last year when it came to pumping art out but I think im also glad I did less art this year in a way. I’ll admit a lot of last year was fueled by chasing people and a way to reach the top and get my voice heard I felt like I was fighting for my life but im not too sure how it looked like from the outside. It’s also been fueled by spite which made me incredibly tired and something im glad I stopped utilizing this year. That I learned my boundaries and maintained them as peacefully as I am now.

Sure im a lot more tired but I think the pace im taking is a bit better in it’s own way too. I really wish I could’ve done more this year but when I look at it from afar I guess im still chasing things, too. Maybe not something new and I never really aimed for fame or anything. Maybe I just wanted to keep what I already have?

2021 I’ll confess was also a pile of shit and I guess 2022 was the year of my digging it all away and I’m not done yet. But as long as there’s progress that’s good enough for me. I’m glad I’ve been able to do all these things than not do them at all. But sometimes I wish I could relearn the restraint I had from before.

I never wanted to put a dark stain on the things I love so as long as I ground myself and remind myself why im here I can see the light and remember why I love theses things. I’m speaking in a very vague manner and I am relating this to my time in fandom as cheesy as it sounds, but also personally, I guess.

Imagine it like im talking on a soapbox right now when I say im really glad for the time I’ve spent here—while all of it isn’t the best that could’ve happened and the fault of my own shortcomings—I still treasure it. I love all the people I’ve met and the community I’ve formed and I guess there’s this fear of losing things since I’m afraid I can’t get them back, that I haven’t learned how to even connect better anymore. I really dont want this to sound like someone died lol but I really am genuinely grateful for all the time ive spent with people and how they considered me their friend and how theyre my friend and how they just moved on to other things and im stuck in a box ive put myself in that makes it so hard to be heard I stopped talking anyway.

To those who met me this year, or last year, or the year before that, or knew me before this gas station, and still are here somehow: thank you. For your kindness, for your tags, for your asks, for your replies, for your messages, for your discords, for your writing, for your art and for everything you’ve offered me. I always mean my gratitude from the bottom of my heart and I want to stop being afraid that it doesn’t show.

If this year brings more “Mim” then so be it. I’m happy you find joy in the silly nickname and all the love behind it no matter how silly it is. And even if I drift away or we all drift apart, I treasure every memory and sometimes cry over it at night. I wish 2023 would be nice to all of us and the years after.

I remember Mizuhime saying something about how she has a shit ton of hobbies (which doesn't surprise me cuz she was literally stuck at home for 15 years and having hobbies was probably the only thing keeping that poor girl sane 💀) but can you like... list them all down?? You’re right, anon, these hobbies were literally what was keeping this poor kid together in that crazy ass house 💀

Reading

Her number one hobby. Pre-tsunami, the only books she was able to get were ones with very bad themes (praising authoritarianism, control, obedience, and viewing rebellion as bad) or were just straight-up censored. Every reading material was screened by Susanoo first before he gave them to her.

After she was given more freedom, she was exposed to a lot of genres and more importantly, other perspectives. This is crucial because books = knowledge and knowledge = power. Susanoo heavily limited what kind of perspectives she was allowed to see, but now she’s able to buy her own books without his permission.

Swimming

When she’s not inside the house, she’s out swimming (though the territory she’s allowed to cover is limited and watched over by Susanoo). She can literally breathe underwater too so she can stay underwater and just play with the fishies for days if she wanted to 🥺

Learning languages

Babie’s a polyglot! I mentioned in an older chapter, but before Mizuhime went to Jujutsu Tech, she already knew 7 languages: Japanese (duh), English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Norwegian, and Russian. During her time in Jujutsu Tech, she managed to learn German and Luxembourgish and is currently trying to learn Polish (though she’s having a lot of trouble with it).

Knitting dolls

I also mentioned this in Tsunami but she basically terrorized her parents with the Sukuna doll that she innocently made 😂

Art

This consists of painting and drawing mostly, but she did do a little sculpting throughout her childhood.

Designing clothes

Susanoo allowed her to read some fashion magazines that her mother subscribed to since those rarely ever talked about world events or societal matters. Because of this, she became heavily enamored with fashion and wanted to make her own clothes.

Music

Susanoo heavily limited what sort of instruments she could play because he worried she could ‘hurt herself’. She only knows how to play ‘safer’ instruments like the piano and clarinet.

Gardening, sometimes

She only does this with her dad. Gardening in Susanoo’s hobby but he sometimes asks (demands) her to join in. He has two gardens, one on land inside the conservatory and then an underwater one that she enjoys visiting more

Yoga

Another physical hobby that she likes to do aside from swimming! It helps a lot with her flexibility... which the yanderes definitely approve of 🌝

Mental games

Okay, I know Mizuhime could seem like a bit of a bimbo, but she’s extremely book smart, I swear!! She loves reading all kinds of books aside from the shady ones her dad gives her like encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc. So games that challenge her mind are right up her alley! She really likes doing the crossword, sudoku, chess, etc.

Raine Days(oc) art+ramble

i am losing my mind, i cannot draw digitally at this time so im left to either draw traditionally in my silly little graphing notebook or write out silly ideas for my character

have my silly notebook page and a silly finger phone doodle🫶

dont mind the cat ear doodles, not canon to them, i just felt silly goofy (they are infact a fruit bat now)

and i apologize in advance for the lengthy ramble below🙏

i believe this hides the rest of my ramble for those who wish to read and those who dont? but anyways onto my ramble

so ive recently discovered, what was missing from raines design was little animal parts! (my old middle school days have returned to haunt me)

taking into account how theyre meant to be the sleepy character in the cast, i took to the internet to find sleepy animals, as i didnt want to do the basic cat ears and tail (i have enough ocs who are part cat, again from my middle school days) and in my searching i remembered bats exist!! so raine is now part fruit bat! (their favorite fruit is grapes incase anyones even curious)

but then i started thinking about what their relationships with all the other characters would be like, so starting off with of course the main man of the cast...

•wally! - i like to think theyre besties or at the very least close friends! perhaps Raine might take on a more leading role in their friendship when wallys learning something or doing something silly, like how everyones decided wally steals apples from howdys store. i like to think raine tries to intervene, or at least pay. (so wally doesnt get in trouble) which leads to their relationship with...

•howdy! - since raine pays (like a normal customer) for their items (and wallys) howdy is thankful and for that the two have a good relationship! not besties but they are friends! not much to say though, but sometimes howdy gives them little deals as a thanks! specifically on the items raine often buys! (theyre very consistent in what they pick, grapes and a blue soda, and no they do not know what the actual flavor is, only blue)

•sally! - again, besties! more so than with wally actually! before their house was built, raine actually lived with sally for a little while! they had the same problem that poppy does at the beginning, where when sally would be rehearsing to herself raine would think she was talking to them. they learned quick though, and would actually help sometimes too! their checkered pj pants are actually a gift from sally, as raine wanted to match something with sally! they sleepover often together (raine always falls asleep first however)

•julie! - theyre friends! julies pretty energetic, which keeps raine awake for the most part when they hang out together, but sometimes raine just really needs to rest or chill out, which julie gladly respects. raine loves looking at and taking care of flowers with her though! theyve joined julie in talking to franks flowers, granted that raine can't actually understand the flowers. (they fully believe juile can though) which leads to...

•frank! - theyre uh fine? not enemies or anything but not quite close friends or anything? franks knows a lot about stuff and has a lot of books, which raine likes, but frank can be a bit serious which kinda just worries raine sometimes that he doesnt like them. they want to read his books though. which in turn leads to...

•eddie! - close friends! eddie teaches raine arts and crafts often, as they find it fun and cute. they keep every craft they do together because they like having little trinkets around their house. eddies also trying to help raine get close to frank actually, reassuring them that frank likes them. (theyre still worried, its a wip)

•poppy! - poppys got a kind of mothering relationship with raine! she teaches them how to bake actually, raine took interest in it after the first time poppy gave them some homebaked goods. now whenever theres an event where everyone brings treats or food, raine helps poppy bake! also raine tends to bruise easily and randomly, which poppy worries a lot about (its gotten to where poppy baby proofed her home out of concern) they still get bruises from god knows what

so overall, theyre friends with most of the neighbors, with the outliers being the slow growing work in progress friendship with frank, and the mother/child relationship they have with poppy rather than friendship.

Okay I think I have the basic idea for the animatic and just need to storyboard

alright so get your audio imported and than theres a few ways to approach

ummmm ill use my kirby storyboard and charlotte animatic for examples ( i can find more examples if youd like too :3)

scattered tips and rambles under the cut nfsdkja

so i tend to only include the base poses for movement in my animatics and i also keep my sketches like, quick and simple, one thing thats visible in my kirby one is that i didnt keep the backgrounds consistent in the storyboard because once i had what i wanted for that sketched out i would switch to focusing on the character animaiton sense i could figure the background out later

i would recomend using minimal layers: it can be helpful to have 2 animation layers though so you can sketch the character movements independant from eachother: however for storyboarding just keep it to one layer

if you need to sketch out character anatomy id suggest doing that after your storyboard: on a second sketch layer, simmilar to how later examples of my kirby animatic had circles to keep track of the size and placement of characters, if you struggle with anatomy than try to sketch em more like stick figures or with less lines to keep the process simple

if your having trouble conveying a particular movement than it could be helpful to flesh it out further in you base storyboard so that you have it more figured out later on, but for the most part dont worry about the actual animation just the base poses

sense you havnt animated before id focus more on just getting your ideas down, if you animate more in the future than its important to study more about character movement and flow and directing the viewers eyes and all of that but for now try not to wory about making anything particualry amazing, i find for me putting to much expectations on an animations result makes the task feel even more daunting ^o^*

however if you want to be more ambitious and start learning some more storyboarding skills i can try to sketch out some guides~

a great thing to focus on now thats simple is just to keep in sync with the music, particularly for actual cuts

theres lot of editing you can do to make an animatic look more animated post production, any camera movemtns (like a slight movement from right to left or a zoom in out, or shakey little effect) dont worry about any of those rn, example of this is in my kirby animatic theres that one clip where theres drawings being shown and you can see how the shot isnt drawn to fit the full page: thats cause i plan to do camera movement to pan across the drawing

ummm i would suggest cheking out Jamie De Jonge - YouTube, and •[ Silliest_Light ]• - YouTube, cause there great examples where like, its generally more simple/less ambitous animations but look fantastic, and do a great job of storytelling

my charlotte animatic was done super quick, i did have a sketch layer if i remember correctly but like, it was pretty fast~

for that i just focused for keeping in sync with music and the actual like, framing to convey more emotion, theres only 12 frames in the whole thing actually

another small thing i did there is in the first frame charlotte's arms are like, down resting on the ledge where as in the next clip with her , her pose changed so her hands are on te ledge but her arms are strectched out, given that the action of her goign from the ledge to pushing herself ore upwards is a simple movement and also like, a very diagonal one? if that makes sense i think this pose change helped convey more motion in general despite the motion itself never being shown, i could try to phrase that better if that didnt make sense djnfajsd

all of this is really scattered so im not sure how much help it is but i hope it is at least somewhat neat idk dafkndjf
