why did i leave dance classes

#i did not like it but mom forcefully got me into one of them when i was a kid okay those classes were bad i admit #because she also got me into singing lessons at the same academy and that was. not good im sorry i do not sound good it was a nightmare #but then in seventh grade i again started dance classes and the exercises were ruthless but i had so so so much fun once i adjusted #because i got the hang of it and i was kinda good #it was so fun atleast something out of the house #but then we had one show and i left the academy or maybe the moved but i did not go back and i miss it so much #the two guys who taught us were so. idk weird and now that i look back at some things also kinda inappropriate 👁️ maybe idk #but other than that i had so much fun going out for practicing on the stage etc etc socialising too i miss it so much #it was mostly contemporary and western #dad used to say i should learn khatak too but then i used to hate it #if only i had given a chance to kathak and continued with contemporary atleast i'll have something 😭 #and yesterday i was thinking about that dance performance in school and i remember i did not want to do it because i was scared i had lost #that whatever. idk #i miss it now i'm the awkward dancing cousin at weddings because i hate everyone there and i lost the practice 😭 #they moved**

love how i’m probably going to have to spend my entire fall break applying for internships. that is, if i make it through this week.

#have huge assignment due tomorrow (literally a whole ass news site in a class we have not been taught anything and they grade so harshly) #like functional can make an account and login and post articles and comment and shit from scratch using html css php and sql #none of which i had ever used before this class (they don't teach us) #i also have an exam tomorrow i haven't even thought about studying for yet (im gonna need to pull an all nighter fml im so exhausted already #also an exam wednesday (yom kippur) in a class where i am like over 3 weeks behind #a big programming assignment in the class i have an exam in tomorrow that's due friday that i cannot think about until after my exam thurs #not to mention my usual hw assignments in many classes #i did a really shitty job on my hw due this week/weekend #didn't try very hard on my hw due fri because i was so busy and then wanted to go to parties oops (that's not like me huh) #straight up didn't even submit my astrophysics hw due yesterday because i was just so exhausted so i was like fuck it #we get 2 drops i think #i need to do laundry but i don't have time. i have no clean clothes but i haven't had enough time at my apartment to do it #my apartment is such a mess #i need to clean before i leave for fall break on friday but idk if ill have time #i am so overwhelmed #there's absolutely no way ill be able to get even a fraction of all the stuff i need to get done this week done #my anxiety lowkey has not been super bad this weekend in the first time in so long #but at the same time idk if that's a good thing because im not as motivated to do work even tho i don't want to sh as much which is good

I wanna start off by saying I'm just goofin and gaffin over here so don't take anything I'm saying too seriously. If you don't moisturize your pp it's not a big deal lol. I'm just a huge advocate for moisturizing bc most of these people don't even lotion their own face but I know natural body oils will work generally just fine in due time. Tdick is also skin so I would say lotion can't hurt but again it's not a big deal if you don't lol. But since I don't have one myself I dunno how much I can appropriately speak on it

As for me I'm cut but my shit half way grew back so I'm an in betweener. Moisturizing isn't even the biggest issue it's just make sure y'all wash y'all's dicks good! Pull that skin back and wash everything underneath. Get in the nooks and crannies!

Day 7!! >_<!!! (1 week milestone!!)

Today, I decided to check in on Knuckles!! He did a few things in the holidays, like shopping for food and treasure hunting with Rouge!! (I swear it was a date with her, but he’s just too shy to admit it!! Are all boys like that? All the ones I’ve met are like this… (TヮT) )

We sparred for a bit, he taught me the basics of blocking and whatnot, and then we had a break!! Doing sporty things like this also lets me show off my cool weighted bracelets! Im sorry if this bothers you, but i was thinking about Jae and Alys parenting today, mostly in terms of saera and viserra, so what's your take on Feanors reaction to that whole thing in Everlasting Song. Like does he agree with their tactics (probably not...) or what? I really enjoyed your work and routinely rotate it in my head pretty much every single day.

AND NOW I have been rotating this question in my mind since you sent to me yesterday, thinking... considering... what a really great question, this isn't a bother AT ALL! It is my absolute pleasure to try and give an answer.

Feanor's take on Jaeherys and Alysanne's parenting, WHAT a thought. Now that I've cracked open the question of Feanor's historiographical takes, I'm tempted to have something like 'A History of House Targaryen, a Commentary by Ser Feanor Blackfyre' or something such floating around, the idea amuses me so much. You know Gyldayn hates it, if it exists.

But, okay, okay, let's think on this. Feanor would have grown up with a very traditionalist kind of education about the Targaryen monarchs. In text, basically everyone admires and thinks well of Jaehaerys and I believe Feanor would have been taught to admire him as well. And then Summerhall and Jaehaerys II.

I think his uncle being Jaehaerys the Second contributes a lot to Feanor's thought processes in regards to his historical evaluations, as he starts to read the histories more deeply. The comparison is natural.

I think he first goes, 'wait' when reading about the marriages Jaehaerys I and (and to and extent Alysanne) forced on his daughters and connects the dots to Rhaella and Aerys, neither of whom wanted to marry the other and got married really, really young, something Feanor is perfectly capable of realizing even at like twelve has been extremely bad for the both of them. I think every time he reads about one of Aerys's daughters, he thinks of Rhaella- Rhaella who isn't 'headstrong' like J&A's 'troublesome' daughters (who are almost described as evil by Gyldayn, it's so uncomfortable, not sure I agree with that writing choice), but suffers just as much, even as she does everything right

And Feanor, during JII's reign, is also feeling trapped and controlled and /unloved/ by someone who should love him, no, I bet he feels a great deal of sympathy for Viserra and Saera. Like, I'm sorry my life and my living of it makes you uncomfortable; I'm sorry it's inconvenient; sorry I'm here at all.

So, yeah, I don't think Feanor is primed to admire Jaeherys once he gets to the Citadel and then all bets are off.

I think once he starts studying, he notices what many people noticed while reading Fire and Blood, which is that most of J's good deeds are really Alysanne and Barth's good deeds that he signed off on. His respect for Jaehaerys dips lower. That being said, I don't think he's particularly in love with Alysanne's parenting style either.

Feanor grew up in an environment where, well, as Barristan says "all of King Aegon's children married for love." And the text makes clear that Aegon and Betha being permissive, loving parents causes serious problems for the realm, but Feanor's not likely to acknowledge that if even recognizes it. I think he believes that Alysanne prioritizing marrying her young daughters to 'safe' older men from her pool of friends to be selfish and short-sighted, at best.

I think in all things, when evaluating other people as parents, he compares them to his parents, who he /idolizes/ until the day he dies. And Alysanne and Jaehaerys come up wanting. Jaehaerys doesn't come off looking like a particularly great king either.

And those are my preliminary thoughts! This sent me down a rabbit hole, though, I can't help thinking- what did Feanor think of Aemon the Dragonknight? And what did that make him think of himself

okay im gonna start with his family cause i wrote some headcanons for them yesterday. he has two sisters who are younger than him. he was really good at taking care of them when he was little because he had to take of a worse child (max) all the time. they tease their big bro about max btw. max joins in. worst fucking husband of the year. they're like 10 years younger than him. their names are sara and sadie. listen the s names are good.

his mom loves him so much. like sam's her little angel. she spoils him rotten when he comes home and max laughs about it and sam tells him to jump off a cliff.

his dad is just like him (autistic). he's a lawyer (user pikaflute always tries to squeeze in lawyers in every media like their life depends on it FUKKKK … why sam’s dad a lawyer all of da sudden) and he's the reason why sam wanted to be a detective. they watched noir films together when sam was young

back to general headcanons now: sam is a gamer. yeah, old pc point and clicks and puzzle games. and arcade games. he's probably secretly really good at newer games but he's rather just relax and take his time and solve shit.

not a morning person. at all. he will not leave the bed until like 10 am and will guzzle a pot of coffee. he just wants to stay in bed. i say let him!

likes to window shop. he will walk around new york with max and when he sees something he likes he will look into the store and will stay there until max has to pull him away.

he can bake. him mom and grandma taught him :). he has max taste his stuff and it just ends up with max eating like 10 cupcakes in like 10 minutes

has like all these figurines of things he knows nothing about. the geek asks him where he got that limited edition collectible miku and sam's like "oh she's just a cute one isn't she?" "sam they made like 100 of these how did you get her" "i found her!"

i'm giving him my greatest struggle: ibs. boys who go through tummy aches are our strongest warriors!

i know most family headcanons for max give him siblings but. i want to be funny. he's an only child. like he is that kind of asshole (source i'm an only child)

he has two moms. yeah deal with it. lesbianism WIN.

as a kid the only person his moms would let him go play with was sam because max would actually be calm around sam and they wouldn't have to be on high alert for their kid biting someone's head off

he will make accounts to go on forums to argue with people about shit he knows nothing about and is 100% wrong on but will win the argument anyway. he truly has the heart of a poster. he's also banned from most forums and like twitter and facebook

i think he has a bunch of different things he picked up as a hobby. knitting, wood carving, poker (obviously), video games, drawing, pottery, solving puzzles (he sucks at those and asks sam for help), and many more. he can't keep his mind focused, he's gotta do it all!

speaking of video games, he plays violent ones. he likes the blood and gore. it's funny to him. he also plays fighting games online and is extremely toxic to everyone around him. he just like me fr.

he loves spicy food. like he will guzzle spice packets into his open mouth all the time. then he'll get a stomach ache from eating like 15 spicy packets from taco bell

hates hot weather. it makes his fur all puffy and static. he also hates the heat in general, make him irritable (more than usual)

i think he stims a lot. he moves around a lot doing stuff in the games but i think one day sam gets him a fidget toy and max is like oh my god. oh my god sam i could make love to you. and sams like. play with the toy instead jackass. and max does like all the time everyday forever.

Personality: Goes along with most things and never really gets upset. It took Z saying ‘Did it hurt-’ for them to realize Z was flirting. It took multiple scoldings for them to start to look both ways before crossing the road. They once told someone they were annoying after a thirty-minute conversation. 

Likes: Their god saved their life and tries to give them advice (as best an eldritch being can). They find the scares and gore hilarious. They enjoy how hard liquor burns their throat. Wandering the forest gives them a sense of peace. Sculpting their ‘visions’ helps them perceive and make sense of them. 

Dislikes: They think most romance movies are unrealistic. Sweet food tends to hurt their teeth. Needlessly loud places put them on edge. They hate to clean their clothes of blood.

Movies: Finds the rich family comically stupid. 

Theosebia was raised in a religious cult, Isolated from the world. Even as a child, They questioned everything they were taught. Always wondering why they were supposed to fear God when he was supposed to love them. It wasn't until they got a glimpse of someone from the outside world, did they had enough.    

At the age of 15, They wanted to learn more, So they devised a plan to run away. While their father was passed out drunk, they were able to subdue their mother before escaping. Unfortunately, their mother was able to warn the others about Theosebia's escape and they started to hunt them. They were ruthlessly pursued through the forest, running until they were eventually cornered. Not much was recalled of the encounter, only blurry recollections of screams and flashes as memories. Their first memory was of lying down on the forest floor. As their mind faded from them, they were graced by their god. 

Its intangible form only amazed Theosebia. When they asked if it were an angel, their god emitted a sound similar to laughter. They were soon after saved by their god and one of its loyal followers. They then spent years training and at the age of 20 became one of its clerics.

Theosebia now works at a cinema to busy themself when their god doesn't need their assistance. Though they didn't need to work, they enjoyed being able to live an ‘average’ life and experiencing things most their age would. It’s not until they meet a certain someone does their odd life truly takes a turn. 

(I like the idea that Theo, after finding out that Z is a demon, adds their blood to a meal they cooked for Z. They REALLY want to see their reaction. Oblivious to the fact that wouldn't be a good idea) :P

as per usual i peddle an extreme amount of mis- and straight up disinformation about the aerospace & defense industries in this one. as a general rule of thumb if it sounds like i researched it poorly and/or made it up, that’s because i researched it poorly and/or made it up. like every scene i was like ‘that wouldn’t happen :D’ and wrote it anyway

this one-shot renders my third one-shot (about ice & hangman) entirely obsolete, as if the rooster one-shot didn’t already do that. so just ignore the hangman one. (i only wrote that one cause i felt bad about tagging my fics hangster when they’re barely in it.) Also, this one-shot kind of directly contradicts the end scene of “debriefing” in pretty much every way. i don’t really care, because this is a much stronger ending, but just throwing that out there—this one-shot doesn’t really jive with my other writing for plot/character arc reasons & im too lazy/sick and tired of my other writing to go back and retcon any of it

i only research things i am mandated to by school/a job/journalistic code of ethics, or that i think are interesting, or that i know will not depress me. divorce depresses me so i did not research divorce. Also im pretty sure marriage doesn’t work the way i described it “sign the papers & that’s it” but idgaf . shrug. im having fun

something i Didn’t make up, though: the thesis that iraq/afghanistan went so poorly in the long term partly because our armed services & especially that generation of commanding officers were prepared for total warfare with a near-peer (like the ussr) instead of counterinsurgency tactics against mountain-based guerrilla warfare-stratted forces (like Al-q*eda etc). that’s a very real thesis that ive read in multiple mil history books (“the generals,” ricks; “mil history for the modern strategist,” ohanlon) & co-opted because it’s kind of, in a fucked up way, a good metaphor for ice’s whole deal—he’d been expecting a traditional officer’s life with a woman etc (aka traditional warfare against the ussr, the us’ sworn enemy) and instead found happiness in the weirdest of places, another dude (aka guerrilla warfare) and no one taught him the right strategy for dealing with that; so, pigheadedly, like some US commands in the Middle East for a decade, he just dug in his heels & refused to budge/change his "total traditional war/heteronormative"-based strategy even if it obviously wasn’t working.

In a similar vein just so i can beat the allegations that im strategically dumb, the “strategies” against the ussr the boys are playing with in the usna section are intentionally the most dogshit strategies on earth. do not invade russia in a land war. especially not when nukes are on the table. the point is they’re ALL bad at strategy (strat as a metaphor for interpersonal communication).

i get the words “moderate” and “modulate” confused a lot. there’s a couple times in this one when I use moderate and mean modulate. Now it’s too late to edit it. by which i mean i am too lazy. editing anything on ao3 is a Sisyphean task. not worth it.

there's a lot to be said about my ice & maverick's respectability, which is to say, as slider points out, their life together is incredibly normie and boring and regular, except that they're two guys. like there's nothing super subversive going on here. "in the grand scheme of things is this really so bad?" is the question. politically this is a little funky. for metatextual character-arc reasons ice has to agree to an official marriage to prove that by the end he's not afraid to legally legitimize their relationship, but the heteroflexible/straight-passing/socially conservative ice & mav that I have written also probably aren't the kind of guys to acknowledge the struggle & strife & subversiveness of the queer community before them that fought for them to have that right. to quote from an essay by Lauren berlant & Michael Warner ("Sex in public"): "Respectable gays [ice & mav, distancing themselves from other gays] like to think that they owe nothing to the sexual subculture they think of as sleazy. But their success, their way of living, their political rights, and their very identities would never have been possible but for the existence of the public [visibly queer] sexual culture they now despise." just throwing that out there as something that is weighing on my mind having now finished writing this. I think that issue (ice & mav's relationship with/debt to the lgbt community) could be explored with a character like rooster, who might be much more a part of that struggle (especially pre-dadt-repeal)...but idk where or how I would write about it. just something to chew on. I keep finding different ways to politically interpret what I myself have already written which then keeps leading to more fucking one-shots. This slider one for instance was a reinterpretation from the 1980s Cold War politics lens of nuclear doomsday & how that affected a generation of men making shitty/suicidal decisions about their lives. an endless cycle for me. "just one more interpretation...i swear just one more..."

please share the GTS drama i only saw todays tweet and im very curious

The short version is that KENTA invented the GTS (G2S). When Punk went to WWE he dropped his old own finisher Pepsi Plunge for a variety of reasons (WWE's safety concerns, wear and tear on his knees, Pepsi trademark) and started using the GTS as his finisher. I don't know if he met KENTA when he was in Japan, if anyone else taught him to do it or he just copied it from watching tapes.

I read that in 2011 KENTA said "Please list him up on the wanted list as he stole my move!!" Sounds like a serious accusation to me /jk

AFAIK no one really cared about this until recently. When Punk returned to AEW Punk and Kenta had exchanges on twitter, which were stiring the pot. Also this poignant "No" from Punk. Come on, you know what you're doing...

It should be mentioned that KENTA's twitter is entirely in kayfabe.

He did also demand a match and we know when people work together in a wrestling ring that's an expression of great hatred because wrestling IS real.

Honestly to me it looked more like harmless banter or buildup to a possible match. Like when Danhausen used the GTS and this happened:

Fast forward to the scrum and dirtsheet drama, one Bobby Fish is suddenly very verbal about how Punk stole KENTA's move. He also said Punk didn't even have the decency to rename it, as if that wasn't the most disrespectful thing he could have possibly done. It's still unclear why Bobby Fish is so invested in KENTA's honor. Possibly he's just obsessed with Punk with whom he's had a one sided feud for months now (to the point of basically kicking out of the GTS at 2.9).

There were also some news articles running the story that KENTA wasn't allowed to use the GTS when he joined WWE "because of Punk" which were misleadingly phrased, because Punk had already walked out of WWE and been fired by the time KENTA arrived and the reason why they didn't want KENTA using the move was because they had the crowd chanting for CM Punk to come back already, they just didn't want that to happen every time KENTA did the move.

Granted, I am also pretty certain that KENTA would have been told not to use the GTS if Punk had still been around, because that is how wrestling works, you protect your star's finisher and brand, regardless of who invented what. It wouldn't even have been good branding for KENTA because everyone already stongly associated it with Punk.

KENTA was later allowed to use the GTS but broke someone's orbital bone with it and WWE banned it again for a while.

Well, fast forward to today. On yesterday's Dynamite in Punk's hometown Kenny Omega bit his opponent and used the GTS, in yet another obvious dig at Punk.

But then he also tweeted a thank you to KENTA (despite being fluent in Japanese he did so in English, naturally, so you'd understand it and take screenshots!), which I assume is supposed to suggest that he asked for permission to use the move.

Basically, this is getting so ridiculous that people are starting to believe it's all a work.

(TW: a lot of smut talking and spoilers to "Stuck On You" for anyone else who might be reading this) Ugh, idk where to start bc i literally loved it so much!! i think I've talked about before, but i love dark fics in general, but **especially** yours bc i think you capture it so well. you could tell me you majored in psychology and i'd believe it bc of how well and easy it seems for you to get into their mindset (any ewan char!). Like-- idk how to describe it, but it feels like you just know all of his chars personally from how well each of ur fics seem to match their personality. I've said before that you add so much little detail to ur fics as to not rush over things, and i could really tell here. my fav small detail was when you simply mentioned how he repeated entering her until he was fully sheathed bc he hadn't fully prepared her. like-- when i read that, my mouth kinda dropped and i had to just take a moment bc (1- ur girl can relate 😂) but also it made me stop and realise just how many fics I've read where it kind of just rushes past the first thrust. and honestly, i just enjoyed that detail *so much* bc it's relatable and realistic ? i love reading smut bc its fantasy, but I've-- and I'm sure many others-- have had that moment where it doesn't enter perfectly the first time and just reading a relatable moment like that was SO refreshing. okay, I'm going to stop w my rambling bc i feel like i might sound stupid now-- onto my questions bc im so curious about his mindset more! fair warning, I feel like some of these might overlap or be repetitive, but i didn’t know how to word them perfectly.

did Michael have an interest w her from the start, or was it only after she embarrassed him did he take an interest in her? did he/does he have any actual true feelings for her? bc the way he talks to her makes it seem like this is more of a hate/revenge thing than anything. like he's just so mean, but is there actually something more underneath all that spite ? and with that, do you think she would have genuine feelings for him as well or would it be this "codependency" thing? -- idk if codependency is the right term, but its better than what i was coming up with lol. her mindset during sex kind of seemed like that dumbification vibes, but she's clearly not actually dumb, he just looks down on her like she is-- which no surprise there, it's Michael lol.

Michael doesn’t notice her at all, until she embarrasses them both at the first night of Fresher’s week. He sets his sights on getting revenge, because he sees her as just another spoiled little rich girl, and he despises those types of people more than anything.

When he learns more about her circumstances - she’s there on a scholarship, genuinely cares about her studies, etc. he softens to her, but not by much - in his view, she is naive and needs to be taught a lesson.

It doesn’t become anything tangibly sexual for him until she kisses him. That’s what sets the wheels turning in his head of “I could ostracise this girl so much that I have her all to myself”

She is definitely into him, and he has effectively backed her into a corner. Basically, she has gotten what she wanted from the start - to have a brilliant mind to be friends with in order to have the “authentic” Oxford experience. And he has what he wants in the sense that he has broken her down to nothing socially and she’s now fully dependent on him.

There is the potential for genuine feelings to develop, but its current state is dark, twisted and reliant on lust.

My great uncle died yesterday and Im still reeling. He was suuuper close with my dad and taught me a lot of what I know about being in the wood and the forest and I miss him in ways that are kind of hard to articulate. Its probably very predictable, but I wish I had made more time to talk to him as he got older. Men on dad's side of the family have this weird curse where they live a long time after their wives in sad ghostly states but uncle bill had it together. He had a roomate, an old friend, and dogs who loved him in a soul-devotion, the mountain and the deer and the lions with whom he was neighbors. They had an understanding.

I dont know what will become of the old house. Idk what my cousin will do with it but I hope he doesnt tear it down. It was a strange house, custom and probably not to code with a spidering wrought iron stairwells with a pointy ivy pattern and a dozen dusty stuffed bobcats all over the living room (each one having made a play for the chickens or puppies at some point). There were always spiders in his house. As a very little kid I remember being afraid, but he always told me never to harm them, let them mind their business and be good neighbors. As a precocious child I spent a lot of time learning from him about our animal neighbors and our place not above them but part of the same landscape. I listened to his stories rapt for hours and hours, followed him onto the mountain with his scary dog. I marveled at the giant redwood pinecones and warrior squirrels leaping over mats of discarded needles, running little fingers on bleached discarded antler shed and sticking my hand in the divot made by a mountain lion in wet mud. "This is how you tell she has babies," he would explain.

I really try to live life without regretting stuff. He and my grandpa for all their love of the natural world were also hugely into science and its changing landscape. I read a lot and would bring science to them, and science, as is inevitable in this sort of context ends up becoming philosopy at a certain point. I wish I had spent more time with him. Whenever he talked to dad he always asked after me as well and I just. wasnt great a following up.

I hope my cousin returns him to his mountain, so he can be part of his home once again.
