"I do, My Love!"- Shingen- Pt 2 The Wedding
Alright here is part 2 of my Shingen wedding story event! I hope you all enjoy!
After announcing our engagement, our friends were spending much time in Kai, helping us to plan the wedding. Though I am not sure how much help Kenshin and Yukimura were. Yukimura was being his usual self and Kenshin…was full of…ideas.
“I am looking forward to this and I want to thank you so much for allowing me to help with the planning.” Yoshimoto declared. I had asked him to help with flower arrangements and with picking out the right fabric for my dress. He had a great eye for these things and he was genuinely happy for Shingen and I.
“I want to thank you for agreeing.” I replied, smiling.
“So, what exactly are your plans for the wedding anyways?” Yukimura asked.
“Are you planning to incorporate traditions from our time?” Sasuke asked, since everyone in the room knew he and I were originally from the future.
“I was thinking it might be fun to.” I answered.
“Of course we will.” Shingen said, wrapping his arm around me. “I want this to be the wedding of your dreams.”
I smiled. “I think you being the groom accomplishes that.”
Shingen’s smile was warm and affectionate as he looked at me. “As you being the bride makes it my dream.”
“I imagine the traditions will make for a very romantic ceremony.” Yoshimoto said. “With the things you, Shingen, and Sasuke have told me of the future, it seems there is more time for beauty and romance.”
“It’s especially romantic when the bride and groom write their own vows.” Sasuke said.
I smiled thinking about such a thing for our wedding. Shingen would definitely be able to write such wonderful vows. Though I didn’t know if my own words would ever be enough to express my love for the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
“I know how to make it more romantic.” Kenshin spoke up for the first time, looking up over his sake cup. “I can fight you to the death and with your dying breath, you can tell Ava your vows of your unending love for her.”
Shingen and I were both giving Kenshin a look. “Ava did not save my life only for me to die so needlessly on our wedding day.” Shingen replied. “And I would very much like to live more than just a few breaths as the husband to the most beautiful woman in the world.”
I felt my cheeks flush. “Oh, Shingen.”
“I don’t see Lord Shingen dying on their wedding day as a romantic notion.” Sasuke agreed. “Besides who would you fight then if you killed your greatest rival?”
“There’s still the Oda.” Kenshin remarked.
“How about we stop talking about battling anyone?” I suggested. Though I knew true peace between the Uesugi-Takeda alliance and the Oda forces was a long way off, I still longed for it. I truly hoped that my friends on both sides could come to an agreement.
“We are in a cease-fire agreement with them.” Sasuke reminded Kenshin.
Kenshin grumbled under his breath, but went to sip his sake.
Shingen leaned over and kissed me on the forehead. “I promise there will be no battle on our wedding day.” He said, smiling warmly at me.
I returned the smile. “Good. I figure as long as we have enough sake and pickled plumbs, we should be able to avoid a stabby Kenshin.” I replied. Though when I looked into those handsome gray eyes, I saw something. Shingen was a master at reading people… me not so much. Though I had become better at reading Shingen. There was something in his eyes that told me he was up to something.
Shingen chuckled. “I certainly hope so.”
After this meeting, I was heading into town with Yoshimoto and my fellow seamstresses to do some fabric shopping. “Oh, thank you so much for letting us join you, Lady Ava and Lord Yoshimoto.” Kana said, an excited smile on her face.
“Yes, it is truly an honor to get to help you with finding the right fabric for your wedding…dress as you called it.” Mitsuki agreed. “I can’t wait to get to work on this new piece with you.”
I smiled. “I’d never be able to get it done on time without help.” I replied. “And thank you all so much for agreeing to help me.”
“I am rather excited to get to see this new creation from you.” Yoshimoto said. “And I am happy to help you find the perfect fabric. The design you showed me is exquisite.”
“And it’s going to be a challenge for us all to make, but I think it’s going to be a fun challenge.” Mitsuki said.
“And then we can maybe use some of these same designs when you and Haru get married.” I added.
Mitsuki giggled. “Maybe…though I really would like your help with my wedding kimono…should that day come.”
“Oh it will.” Kana said.
“And I will be happy to help you just as you are helping me.” I replied, smiling happily. I felt so lucky to have such good friends who were so willing to help me.
We ended up having a very productive time shopping, finding the exact fabrics I needed. My next few weeks were spent working on my dress and planning the wedding and reception banquet. It was a very busy time and I was just so honestly happy. I was planning my wedding to the man I love.
It was finally the day before the wedding and we were all gathering for a banquet. It was mostly just to keep Kenshin from getting bored…it seems sparring with Sasuke and Yukimura were getting weren’t quite enough…so we were holding a pre-wedding banquet. Or at least this is what I thought.
“This banquet isn’t so bad.” Kenshin said. “You have at least gotten some good sake in.”
“Just make sure you don’t drink it all tonight. We have to have more for the banquet tomorrow after the wedding.” Sasuke said.
“And you better not eat all of the sweets tonight Lord Shingen.” Yukimura scolded Shingen, who sat beside me with a tray piled high with nothing but sweets.
“There’s still plenty for the wedding tomorrow.” Shingen replied.
“I should take away some of those sweets.” Yukimura said. “You would think with your health being such a concern, you’d want to do better with your second chance.”
“I suppose I could cut back…though I will just have to have more of my favorite sweet then.” Shingen replied, a playful smile on his lips. His arms were then wrapping around me and pulling me close. “This sweet has been nothing but good for my health.” He was then playfully nibbling my cheek.
I giggled as my cheeks reddened. “Shingen…”
Yukimura rolled his eyes. “Fine I changed my mind, you can eat all the sweets you want. Just save…whatever this is for your honeymoon.”
Before anymore could be said there was the sound of footsteps approaching from the hall. I could even hear a bit of commotion from the maids and soon the doors were opening to the banquet hall and I was stunned by the figures who came in and the voices that greeted us.
“There’s our fireball.”
“Our little mouse really did catch herself a tiger.”
Before I even had a chance to react, Kenshin was rising and pulling out his sword and pointing it at my friends from the Oda forces. “Finally this party isn’t so boring.” He declared.
“You would dare attack a guest?” Nobunaga asked, lifting a haughty brow at Kenshin.
I felt Shingen stiffen beside me, but he took some breaths to calm himself. “Kenshin, you know they were invited and not for battle.” Shingen said. “I told you of this already.”
“It doesn’t mean that plans can’t change.” Kenshin countered.
“Lord Kenshin, you have more honor than to attack a guest.” Sasuke spoke up, holding a sake cup out to Kenshin.
“Sasuke and I will spare extra with you.” Yukimura added.
“And I’ll throw in a sparring match with you when I return from my honeymoon.” Shingen added.
“I’m happy to have a friendly sparring match before we leave.” Masamune spoke up with a grin. “But it has to be after the wedding. I have a feast to prepare beforehand.”
Kenshin was begrudgingly sheathing his sword and then sitting back down, taking the sake from Sasuke. “I am holding all of you to that. You should all come at me at once. It will be more fun that way.”
“I…what’s…what’s going on?” I asked, feeling utterly confused.
“You didn’t think we were going to miss your wedding now, did you lass?” Masamune asked.
“Or the chance to perhaps talk you out of it and convince you to come back home to Azuchi with your family.” Hideyoshi said, looking at me.
“The tiger invited us.” Nobunaga said.
I looked over at Shingen. “You…invited them?”
Shingen glared at the group before turning a loving smile to me. “Of course. I may not be fond of them, but I know you are and still think of them as your family.” He told me. “And you should get to have all of the people you care about around you on your wedding day.”
I felt tears of happiness stinging my eyes. “Oh, Shingen thank you!” I said, hugging him.
Shingen smiled and kissed the top of my head. “Anything for you, my angel.” He told me.
I was then looking at my friends, smiling at them. “And thank you for agreeing to come. I’m so happy you’ll all be here for our wedding!”
“Come in and enjoy the feast.” Shingen said to the Oda forces, though I could tell he did it with a hint of venom. I knew this was hard for him and I truly appreciated everything he had done for me.
The Oda forces all came to sit down and enjoy the meal. There was a bit of tension, but with some effort it was broken and the party continued without any problems. Though there were times I could see Shingen glaring at Nobunaga and Nobunaga just smirking right back at him. We managed to make it through the night without anyone killing each other.
The next day when I awoke, I was being given the full royal spa treatment. The maids helped me to bathe and wash my hair, massaging special oils into my skin and hair. I was setting out my makeup when there was a knock on my door. My friends from the Oda were coming in, Masamune carrying a tray of my breakfast.
“What are you all doing in here?” I asked.
“We came to help you get ready, Lady Ava.” Mitsunari answered.
“Not all of us. Some of us were dragged in here against our will.” Ieyasu said. “Or to make sure a bumbling cabbage head didn’t make you look worse.”
I smiled at them. “Thanks…you guys really don’t have to help though. You just being here is enough.”
“Of course we are here to help. You are still an Oda Princess and my lucky charm.” Nobunaga declared. “We will make sure you have a look befitting your station.”
“Lord Nobunaga is right.” Hideyoshi agreed.
I was soon eating the breakfast Masamune had made for me, which was delicious. Once that was done, Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide were fussing over my hair while Ieyasu was dragging Mitsunari out saying he should help him get rid of the breakfast tray. I was surprised when Nobunaga sat down across from me and was picking up my makeup.
“You don’t have to do that Nobunaga…” I tried to protest.
“Nonsense.” Nobunaga replied. “Now sit still while I apply this.”
I did as instructed, though I was already relatively still so that Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi could fix my hair. Nobunaga was picking up a brush and the liner. “Close your eyes, Ava.” I followed his instruction and closed my eyes as the Devil King of The Sixth Heaven applied my eyeliner.
I was surprised by how gentle Nobunaga’s movements were as he applied my makeup. Once he had finished my eyeliner he told me to keep my eyes closed. That was when I felt a calloused finger at the corners of my eyes before coming to my lips.
I opened my eyes in surprise and then Nobunaga was holding out a hand mirror for me. “There.” He said, smiling at me and if I wasn’t mistaken there was a bit of warmth in his eyes. “You look like a bride.”
I looked in the mirror, taking note of my reflection as Nobunaga wiped rouge from his fingertips. The makeup was simple and yet elegant. He had done a rather good job. My hair was put up in an elegant style with a few beautifully decorated combs and hair sticks.
“Thank you.” I said to them all, smiling. “Now I’m going to need you all to get out of here so I can change.”
“Or we can stay.” Masamune said, giving me a grin. “I’d be happy to help you with that, lass.”
Hideyoshi was grabbing Masamune by the ear. “No you don’t. Come on.”
Once they were all gone, I was calling in the maids to help me into my dress. I had designed was in a couple of pieces. The base piece was a simple white shift dress made of a gorgeous silk. Then there was a top layer to it that was a jacket that was mostly open so you could see the white dress beneath. It was red silk and was clasped at the front just beneath my bust with a beautiful golden rose pin. I had short sleeves on the dress, but extended them with sheer white silk that flowed.
Once I was completely ready, I was stepping out of my room. I began to walk towards the garden where we were holding the ceremony. All of our guests were there waiting. Though everyone disappeared for me once I saw Shingen standing under the tree we had decided to make into our wedding altar. He looked so handsome in his traditional groom’s hakama.
His gray eyes lit up when he saw me walking towards him. Once I was beside him, his hands were reaching for mine. “You look beautiful, my angel.” He whispered to me.
I smiled at him. “And you look very handsome.” I replied.
We had decided there would be no one presiding over the ceremony. Instead we would declare our vows to each other before our gathered friends and family (and enemies in this case as well).
“Ava,” Shingen began, his voice reverent, “My love, my angel, my goddess, you have given me so much more than I could have ever hoped for. My spark of life had died out years ago and I lived only out of spite…but now I can live and live for the things I’ve always wanted. The dreams I never dared to let escape can finally come true. And it is all thanks to you. You’ve restored me body and heart…you’ve healed me and made me whole again…and as if that weren’t enough, you gave me your love as well. In turn I vow to give you all the love and happiness you have given me. I swear to make sure the rest of your days are filled with love and happiness and I will love you with every breath I take. I give you my heart, my soul, my love, always and forever.”
I felt tears stinging my eyes at his beautiful words. I knew he wouldn’t be short on them. He never was. Shingen was reaching a hand to gently wipe away my tears. I smiled up at him. “Shingen, you came into my life in the most unexpected of ways…and you completely captured my heart. You gave me a love worth fighting for…one I will always fight for. You are a truly giving and selfless man and I cherish every moment we have together. And I will always be by your side, loving you and making you as happy as you have made me, forever.”
Shingen’s smile was warmth and love as he looked at me. Before either of us could say anything, Sasuke was calling from the crowd. “You may now kiss the bride!”
Shingen chuckled. “Don’t mind if I do.” He said, pulling me close before pressing his lips to mine, sealing our vows with a sweet kiss. When we broke the kiss, those gray eyes were looking at me with such love and tenderness. “My wife.”
I couldn’t stop the smile from spreading wide across my face. “You have truly made me happy from the bottom of my heart…my husband.” I told him, echoing the words from our bet from so long ago.
Shingen’s eyes darkened ever so slightly and he was then pulling me to him once again, kissing me more deeply, neither of us caring much that we still had an audience. All that mattered was we were in love and we were finally husband and wife.

miri and ophelia! 39, 40, 44, 45!
You've Got Questions, I've Got Answers: OC Edition
39. Would they ever crash a wedding?
Ophelia: She would not. It's bad manners, especially if she was close to one or both persons about to be married. She's no hero or believes in true love or things like that. Weddings are just a show of wealth and possessiveness, really, so she doesn’t really want to partake in those kinds of festivities, invited or otherwise.
Miri: Perhaps not at first, but her new brothers have been known to get up to shenanigans, so she might be persuaded to go along with antics. True love matters more than marrying for political gain or whatever.
-------
40. If they found a sword in a stone would they try to pull it out? How would they react to being able to pull it out or not?
Ophelia: She might raise an eyebrow at it, trying to figure out how in all the worlds you get a sword stuck in stone. A tree, or the ground if it's soft, she can understand, but in solid rock??? She might wiggle the handle a little, to make sure it wasn't just a stone with a sword-like slit in it, and then leaves it alone. She doesn't need any more strange phenomena in her life, thanks.
Miri: She absolutely would give it a try, after brotherly shenanigans of them trying to pull it out, unsuccessfully. Be even funnier if it was her, a tiny human creature to be able to pull it out after both demons and angels couldn't do it. She'd also want to keep the sword because swords are cool, duh. She pulled it out, so it's her sword now, no selling it, Mammon!
--------
44. Who, if anyone, would they trust with their deepest secrets?
Ophelia: It'll take a long while for her to open up, especially after almost an entire lifetime of not trusting anyone fully, but when she's finally ready to let all of her walls down, she'll let them down for Kennyo, and to some extent, Ranmaru.
Miri: Beel, both as a romantic interest or as nothing more than her brother. He's honest and upfront about his thoughts (even if he might feel a little bad sometimes because he feels all he talks about is being hungry or about food all the time), but he was one of the first brothers that made her feel wanted and welcome, so she likes talking to him and spending time with him, so, naturally, she opens up to him first when she's anxious or wanting to talk to him about something exciting that happened that day. After him, Lucifer would be her second choice. He mistrusted her at first, because why was this human creature trying to get pacts with all his younger brothers, what's the motivation here, but seeing that she just wanted to bring Belphie back into the family fold, no evil aspirations or whatnot (plus her connection to Lilith, no matter how threadbare it might be), he took a shining to the little human under his wing (plus, she was quieter and more behaved and helpful than all of this brothers, so that's always a good sign in his book)
-----------
45. Do they plan in advance or just wing it?
Ophelia: Plan in advance. Can't direct floundering dinner parties without a plan. Though there was a joy in winging her escape from Nobunaga, it didn't exactly wield great results, with her being captured by Nobu's enemies, but, hey, it started her on the path to finding peace and happiness, so.. Maybe a little spontaneity was good for her?
Miri: Since coming to Devildom, winging it seems to be her main modus operandi. It is a different world she's in now rather than the human realm, so the rules would be different, naturally. Plus, with brothers as chaotic as the Demon Brothers, ya kinda have to learn to wing it or get left behind and/or worse.

Fun facts abt residents according to Ikevamp Radio (ヴァンなま) Part 4
Let's go with episodes 11 & 12!! Only 2 episodes since one was a bit longer. Anyways, LET'S GOOO!!!
Episode 11: Back in the studio w/Vincent & Sebas!!
youtube
Vincent sees Sebas singing “Can you celebrate?” a song by Amuro Namie, so he knows the song from the future
Vincent can’t get Sebas to pay attention to him, Sebas keeps singing until Vincent gives him a flick on the forehead
Vincent thinks Sebas is bored as he has created many lines & scenarios for both him and Vincent (flashback to episode 10) Sebas says that “Time is something you make for yourself”
They talk about June brides and wedding for a bit (not my fav episode tbh)
Sebas teaches Vincent the lyrics of “Can you celebrate?” (they sing the song together)
Morishi and Makki call Issac cute (this was when Isaac’s route was released in jp)
For the “Can you tell me… your name?” it was a bit different than usual. There were 4 options to choose from instead of 3, and the fourth was a line that combined the previous three statements into one. For example, Vincent’s provided lines were 1. “Don’t worry, I’ll be here until the morning” 2. “You can depend on me today, okay?” 3. “Pain, pain, go away” 4. A combination of the three.
The audience voted on option 4, so he had to say “(Y/n), depend on me til morning and then go away” or some other weird version. He picked and chose words from each line & rearranged them w/weird grammar (which I’m sure that was NOT what he was supposed to do but it’s funny so…)
Sebas’s chosen line was a combination of “Don’t worry. I will do my best to help you with your recovery” “It’s painful, right? You can depend on me until you recover” and “Do you want to wrap green leeks around your neck? It’ll lower your temperature”
So his finalized line was something along the lines of  “(Y/n). Don’t worry, for now, do you want to wrap green leeks around your neck?” & other variations (he always had some part w/green leeks) It doesn’t make sense but it’s hilarious
Afterwards, Makki was like “More people were being wrapped around by leeks than I’d imagined… haha”
Episode 12: feat. Ikesen Sasuke’s VA Akabane Kenji
youtube
Ikesen x Ikevamp Radio Collab!!!!
(I used to play Ikesen but wasn’t as obsessed so I’m not as familiar w it as I am w ikevamp)
Everyone is so chaotic in the intros & throughout (Akabane & Morishi just feed on each other’s energy and Makki’s like “Sorry—hahaha—I can’t follow… haha” ←he’s dying of laughter)
Even Makki was like “I’ve been thinking… Morishi and Akabane-san give off the same vibe” Akabane: “It’s true that our tastes are overlapping right now, but when I first met Morishi, he wasn’t like this. Now… he turned out like this.” Morishi: “Like what?” (offended)
They did a new section called “You’re a producer! Self-judge!” (nvm it's not a new section, they do it on ikesen radio but not on ikevamp) where the audience will think of lines that Sasuke will say if he was a vampire & if Vincent and Sebas are Sengoku-era warlords. The presented lines will be said by their respective voice actors
Sasuke’s line was “As research, can you let me have your blood? … That was a lie. I want it because it’s yours… So, can I?”
Vincent’s line is “When I spend time with you, I forget that it is a time of war right now. Ah, I need to go. Please don’t be so worried. I promise I’ll be back to you, so believe in me.” Akabane says that his line is similar to what Mitsunari would say
Sebas’s line is “Aaasasaasasaassu! Aaasasaasasaassu! Aaasas…!? Yes? What am I doing? … I’ll be heading to enemy headquarters, so I was energizing myself. Is something wrong?” LMAO as soon as the words showed up on the screen everyone started laughing. Akabane was like “Is ‘Aaasasaasasaassu!’ something Sebastian would say?”  Morishi: “That, Sebastian doesn’t say that. That’s something Morishima would say” HAHAHA
“Aaasasaasasaassu” according to Morishi, is a spell that is shortened from “Arigatou/Azassu!” (thank you). When you say this while pulling for gacha, you get good cards (we need to all try it)
“I love yu” skit w/Sebas, Vincent, and Sasuke!! Sebas and Vincent are relaxing in the thermae when Vincent discovers something coming from the water. Sebas describes it as “something that ninjas use to breathe when they dive into lakes.”
Vincent doesn’t know what a ninja is. Sebas explains what it is to Vincent. Vincent thinks ninjas sound cool
Sasuke pops out from the water, explaining that he came from experimenting with another wormhole. He introduces himself to the two residents, saying that he came from the Sengoku era, saw a rift in time and space, and ended up there, in another timeline.
Sebas, the history nerd, says “Sengoku era? So that means in that era, there are Oda Nobunaga, Uesugi Kenshin, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, & etc.” Sasuke: “Yes, of course. Also, Uesugi Kenshin is my boss” Sebas: “Please. I would like to hear the details. Please, take a seat. I am the butler of this mansion, Sebastian”
Sasuke: “Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere. I guess until the next wormhole appears, I will relax here… Just call me Sasuke.”
Sasuke enters the bath in his clothes, Vincent asks if he doesn’t need to strip. Sasuke: “Well, I don’t know when the next wormhole will appear.”
Sebas: “I had felt this since the beginning, but you give off a similar energy to me.” Sasuke: “What a coincidence. I feel that as well.” Sebas: “Dyun…gyun” Sasuke: “Zuban, zuban!”
The two repeat the phrases, each one becoming more dramatic than the previous, until Vincent stops them bc they’re “leaving him behind”
Vincent finally introduces himself to Sasuke, who gets excited that “he can meet another genius other than the Sengoku warlords” Sasuke: “If I were to describe this feeling, it would be… choberigu (チョベリグ, slang meaning extremely very good)” Sebas: “Our Master Vincent is gekimabu (激マブ, slang meaning very bright), isn't he?”
Vincent: “Choberigu? Gekimabu?” Sasuke: “Yes, he’s gekimabu. So I was right. I feel a same energy off of you”
Sasuke gives them makibishi (caltrop) as a token of appreciation. Vincent is in awe of the caltrops, and Sasuke is happy that someone appreciates his caltrops. Says how Masamune doesn’t need it, proves how angelic Vincent actually is
Vincent: “Next time I see Will, maybe I should throw them to him?” (I LEGIT SPAT OUT MY DRINK) Sebas: “... He will be extremely sad, so maybe not.”
Vincent thought that it was cool that Sasuke had a cool nickname “Shippujinrai” so he tries to think of one for Sebas. Sebas: “to be given a nickname from two people I admire… it makes me feel embarrassed”
Vincent: “Perverted butler!” LMAO IT’S CANON SEBAS IS A PERVERT
Sebas: coughs  “‘Perverted butler…’ while it is not incorrect, it may be weird to say that to myself. ‘Perverted butler, Sebastian.’ Can you say that?”
Sasuke: “I think it sounds pretty good… What about ‘three meals a day?’” Sebas: “That’s just a routine” Vincent: “I got it! ‘Versatile butler’”
Sebas: “‘Versatile butler’ I like it. Versatile butler, Sebastian.”
Sebas: “Master Vincent would be ‘Innocent Angel’” Sasuke: “No, he would be ‘innocent’ (天真爛漫, it means the same thing, just worded differently)” Vincent: “Hmmm… I want something that’s cooler…”
Sebas: “He may look like that, but Master Vincent’s strong in a fight, so maybe ‘Ready to fight (喧嘩上等 means they’ll take on any fight challenged)” Vincent: “Isn’t that a bit dangerous?”
Sasuke and Sebas try to get Vincent to say it. Vincent: “Ready to fight, Vincent van Gogh! It’s a pleasure to meet you!” Sebas praises Vincent, saying he did a great job
Then a whirlpool forms in the waters, a wormhole, Sasuke gets ready to travel through space-time. Sasuke promises that they’ll probably be able to meet again
Akabane was surprised to see that the characters were naked and said “Ohh, so Shiro-sensei (the artist for Ikesen and Ikevamp) is the type to draw nipples”
So in the “van Gogh’s drawing section” Sasuke participated w/Sebas & Vincent. The theme was “Hollywood movie ‘Sengoku warlords vs Vampire’” and Akabane’s art was good? Like you can tell he drew Napoleon and Nobunaga. Makki’s one had a certain electric-type mouse Pokemon on the lower right side of his piece haha
In the segment, “Dyun, zuban… Your name…” (It’s basically “Can you tell me… your name?” but combining the two versions) Vincent’s chosen line was a combination of the lines “You’re gonna get wet. Come here” “You’re wet… Here, take my jacket” “I want to stay here until it stops raining”
He would say most lines properly, but some were weird like “Let’s get… wet together” (not in THAT way) or “The rain got wet, huh? Get closer and wear it” (literally it doesn’t make sense even in Japanese since the grammar was so weird, he just picked and choose words from each line)
Sebas’s line was a combination of “If you want to, do you want to do an aiaigasa (相合傘) with me?” “Come closer so you don’t get wet” “Don’t your joints hurt when it rains?”
“If you want… don’t your joints hurt?” “To not get wet, do you want to… do your joints hurt?” He always puts the “joint blah blah” line at the end it's so funny. There was also “Yoshihiko, do you want to do an aiaigasa? To not get wet, don’t your joints hurt?”
Sasuke’s lines were the combination of “... I’m worried about my caltrops. Sorry, lemme go get them~” “I had the caltrops out to dry but it’s all ruined…” “Are the caltrops okay… Caltrops…”
His was funny bc he would replace the caltrops w/the names so it would be like “I’m worried about (y/n)” “I had (y/n) to dry but… I have to go back” “(y/n)... It’s now all ruined…”
OVERALL, amazing collab I hope they did more but I only have 3 more episodes to watch, and sadly, none of the rest are ikesen/ikevamp collabs

Friends to Lovers Tournament: Round 1, Side A, Match 7
Tumblr media Tumblr media
propaganda under the cut!
Sasuke/Mai:
THE MOST FRIENDS TO LOVERS EVER. Mai is the MC of Ikesen which is a dating sim/otome game. Originally from the 21st century, she's accidentally time travelled to the Sengoku Era where she unknowingly rescues Oda Nobunaga from his historical death thus changing the course of history forever. She reunites with a fellow 21st century dweller Sasuke whom she'd briefly met right before the accidental time travel, who is now a ninja. Though they're on opposing sides, they're friends in all the routes as Sasuke promises to protect her and bring her back to the 21st century safely. Regardless of which route you're playing, Sasuke will always be your friend and he's the same smart yet silly goofy guy, making references to 21st century events and slang and memes which have the other warlords scratching their heads in confusion. Sasuke's route is the ultimate friends-to-lovers + slow burn + mutual pining combination, as they both gradually develop feelings for each other, yet it's also kinda frustrating (in a good way) bc Sasuke is SO clueless to her feelings and his own for a good majority of the route while Mai was down horrendous for him. The pay-off in the end is really sweet (i legit cried when sasuke finally confessed to mai lol) and spicy (ikesen is uhh a bit of a mature game), which makes the achingly slow burn really worth it. Also Sasuke's just a really nice fucking guy, like real boyfriend material, no red flags, the perfect golden retriever boyfriend frfr
Fuyupoly:
Submission 1:
they're from the winter troupe of the mankai company, and unlike the other troupes they're all adults. that said, they all have varying degrees of trauma and emotional stuntedness. it takes them some time to fully open up to each other bc they're all very cautious of each other's boundaries and don't want to cross any lines which initially led to some issues in the group's formation. over time they've learned to bridge the gap while still being mindful of hard boundaries. at one point they have a discussion about what exactly their relationship is (gay) cuz they were talking about how the other troupes have clearly defined dynamics (spring=family, summer=besties, autumn=rivals & teammates) but they don't,, and homare deadass says they're "people bound by a common destiny" which in and of itself sounds very Gay (like why are you as a man bound to other men by a common destiny), but it goes even further because homare starts spouting WEDDING VOWS: "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse, we shall share our laughter and our tears as those with an intertwined fate... How beautiful we are!" THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE GAME AND THE MC EVEN REMARKS "i can already hear wedding bells in the distance..."
gradually they become closer, in individual sub-units based on who's paired up as co-leads for a play, and as a troupe overall. also two of its members are childhood friends who had a messy 'divorce' in their young adulthood and it took the game breaking its genre to introduce a timeloop for them to finally make up if that means anything to you. one of their troupe songs "precious to us ~bokura no kisetsu" has some pretty beautiful and fruity lines: "The many kindnesses born in me here / Never fail to breathe life into my chest / Even all the pain and bitterness / Have now become dear to me (Ah…Stay with me)", "No matter how many times our season passes / Let us keep living together / Holding our hands, without ever letting go / Let us open up the curtain of tomorrow", "There is no need for words, because once our gazes meet / Joy sparks a light in your eyes", "Our journey, may it be a brilliant one / As our breaths overlap as one"
a lot of their plays has a LOT of homoerotic tension between the two leads too. their first play has tsumugi and tasuku play angels, and it's heavily implied that tasuku's character has an unrequited crush on tsumugi's character. their third play has azuma play a vampire and tasuku play Just Some Guy and it's generally agreed in the fandom to be one of the gayest, if not THE gayest, play A3 has ever written. obviously the vampire thing is very fruity, but there's also how the vampire was longing to bite the human but was holding himself back, and when the vampire left the human in the end, the human was absolutely HEARTBROKEN over it and was swearing they would reunite one day. the stage play of this takes it even further by having the vampire embrace the human from behind and BITE his neck. the fourth play is a watered-down adaptation of Phantom of the Opera where they genderbend Christine into Chris among other things and change the relationship between Chris and the Phantom to one of friendship.... ostensibly so, because there's still a lot of homoerotic undertones in their interactions. i could go on but this should be enough of a sampling taste
Submission 2:
the writers rlly said "let's take 2 normal guys who are childhood friends and have been into theatre since their school days and have them go through a pre-canon messy divorce, an eccentric poet with a potentially controversial haircut, an amnesiac sleepyhead who can only be awoken with marshmallows but is also somehow extremely athletic despite doing nothing but sleeping and eating marshmallows all day, a man who is so beautiful and mysterious he breaks gender, and a supposed android from a fictional south asian country, and throw them into a blender, oh and for good measure let's throw in some theatre and angst and gay and angst and gay" and the end result was marriage. i mean it took them a lot of awkward fumbling around and conflicts to get there but they got there and thats what matters. ok *technically* in-text they're all rlly good friends and kinda found family BUT they are found family via marriage papers i do not make the rules chief
Submission 3:
The reason why they are so friends-to-lovers to me is because their relationship is founded on quiet and unconditional acceptance of each other—regardless of how flawed they may be or how heavy their burdens and trauma may be. When the troupe first formed (sans Guy who was in another country at the time), they didn’t have any major clashing personalities at the very beginning and generally they were mindful of each other’s boundaries, unlike the other troupes that came before them. However, it’s BECAUSE they were too mindful of said boundaries that it was difficult for them to break down their walls and bond as a team—and there were a LOT of walls to break down, as all of them had varying degrees of emotional baggage and trauma.
In fact, it’s only three plays in that they finally truly start opening up to each other, with Azuma getting the ball rolling by opening up about the deep loneliness that haunted him ever since his childhood. It’s during this conversation that they also discuss what their relationship as a troupe is, because the other troupes have defined their relationship as a team (Spring is family, Summer is best friends, Autumn is rivals & teammates), and Homare goes on to declare that they’re “people bound by a common destiny” and goes on to spew wedding vows: "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse, we shall share our laughter and our tears as those with an intertwined fate... How beautiful we are!" I mean… it can’t get any more obvious than this, really. They are married.
But anyway, Tsumugi says he wants their relationship to be one where while they respect each other’s need for space, they’ll also be there for each other and share their pains and burdens—or in his words: “supporting each other when our burdens become too heavy to bear on our own”—which I think is really sweet because it carries this idea of quiet, unconditional acceptance; they don’t push each other to share more than they’re comfortable with sharing, but with whatever they ARE comfortable with sharing everyone carries the load and pain because pain is easier to bear when you’re not bearing it alone <3
A later part of the story focuses on Hisoka, a mysterious amnesiac, being terrified of regaining his memories and facing some “sin” from his past that has led to another character, Chikage, trying to take revenge on him. When he confesses this to the rest of the Winter troupe, Homare asks, “How heavy is this sin you bear?” and Azuma suggests, “Perhaps it’s just heavy enough for the five of us to carry together.” (at this point Guy hasn’t joined yet). The stage play adapts this scene into a song called Key to Memory. The key (pun unintended) part is 1:27 where there’s a back-and-forth between Hisoka and the other Winter troupe members (sans Tasuku because he wasn’t in that particular play)
Hisoka: “I’m scared…”
Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “It’s okay.”
Hisoka: “My unforgivable sin…”
Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “Let’s carry it together.”
Hisoka: “I might not be me anymore.”
Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “It’s all right. We understand and we accept you, so let’s go together.”
And it ends with Hisoka singing: “I was afraid to open the door of my locked memories. But if everyone is here, I believe I can do it.”  In both the game and stage play, Hisoka fully regains his memories and reconciles with Chikage (long story). He tells Fuyupoly he can’t go into detail about his past with Chikage because it’s dangerous but he’ll tell them when the time is right, and they accept this saying that no matter what his past is, they know and love him as their Hisoka which obviously is a very sweet thing for friends to say, but it’s also very Marriage-coded to me.
Later, Guy is introduced as an android from Zahra (a fictional South Asian country) and joins the Winter troupe as a temporary member—because he’s stuck in Japan for the foreseeable future—until they find a permanent member to replace him. The other Winter members have a conversation among themselves and agree that regardless of whether he’s really an android or a human they’ll accept Guy for who he is and help him improve his acting, which again harkens back to the idea of ‘unconditional acceptance’. Eventually it’s revealed that Guy is in fact a human who has forgotten his memories of the past and his emotions. He recovers his memories all at once which shocks his system and causes him to pass out. When he wakes up in his room, he finds the rest of the Winter Troupe asleep around the room—which I believe is symbolic of their whole theme of “quiet acceptance”: they don’t want to push Guy to share beyond what he’s comfortable with, but they’re always there to listen to him and share his load if that’s what he wants. He opens up about the memories he recovered, and they don’t treat him with pity like he’s a lost child, but still extend gentle empathy and understanding. They also emphasise that it genuinely doesn’t matter to them whether he’s human or android because he’s Guy first and foremost. It’s at this point that Guy truly lets himself become part of the Winter troupe/Fuyupoly and not just as a temporary stand-in member, because he’s found a place where he’s found himself again and people who will accept who this “himself” is, whether that be an android devoid of emotions or a human brimming with vivid beautiful emotions.
[Mod note: There’s a LOT more but we’re afraid of crashing the post. I (Deli) summarised it the best I can since I’m familiar with A3, but if you want to read the full thing you can check it out on this google doc)

Whimsey's Story Event- "I do, My Love!" -Yukimura Pt - The Wedding
Sorry that this one has taken a while to finish. I've been having a harder time with this one and I'm preparing for a surgery I have coming up on Friday. I'm hoping to have part three up before then. Hope you guys enjoy!
Ever since Yukimura's proposal and us officially announcing our engagement, Kasugayama had turned into wedding central. Kenshin had begrudgingly agreed to letting us have the wedding in the castle garden. Sasuke had persuaded him by reminding him that a wedding meant a wedding banquet which meant lots of sake and pickled plums for him.
Shingen was, of course, happily helping us with any and all wedding preparations. He wanted no expense spared for our wedding. Which was very thoughtful, but Yukimura and I just wanted something simple and yet elegant. Something that reflected us. Shingen agreed with a warm smile.
Yoshimoto was my companion in finding the perfect fabrics for my dress and Yukimura's wedding hakama. I had, of course, designed everything. I even added modern flare to both of our clothes, Yukimura agreeing to his after seeing the design I came up with. I couldn't have been happier than to have all of our friends helping us out. It was truly something to make our day special.
It was two days before our wedding and I was putting the finishing touches on my wedding dress, my fellow seamstresses helping me. "This is so beautiful, Lady Ava!" Saki, one of the other seamstresses gushed.
"Yes, truly a beautiful creation and thank you so much for letting us help you with it." Hama, the head seamstress added. "Where you come up with these unique designs is beyond me, but everything you produce is wonderful."
I felt my cheeks warm at their praise. "Well, thank you guys and thank you so much for agreeing to help me."
"Oh, that reminds me." Saki said, grinning. "I think now might be the perfect time to give her the other thing we've been working on."
"I think you're right." Hama agreed.
"What?" I asked.
The other women just smiled. Hama was then going to a chest in the room and pulling out a cloth-wrapped package. She then handed it to me. "We made you a little something." Hama said.
"Oh, you guys didn't have to do that." I said, as a smile came to my face.
"Go on, open it." Saki encouraged.
I nodded and opened the package. Inside was a beautiful thin silk robe made of white with red flowers embroidered on it. "It's beautiful!"
"We thought you could use a special night robe for your wedding night." Saki said, grinning. "Make Lord Yukimura really go weak in the knees."
I felt my cheeks really heat up then. But I smiled, feeling grateful none the less. "Thank you." It made me happy that they had done this for me. It was then that I noticed it wasn't a full-length night robe. It looked much shorter. "Wait…why did you make this so short?"
"We did say it was for your wedding night." Saki teased. "Plus, I took a peak at your designs in that book you showed me before. I saw some of your designs had shorter hems."
"We figure if you're going to show that much skin, what better time than for your husband?" Hama added.
I felt my cheeks flush once again. Of course, with as flustered as I was feeling right now…I could only imagine how flustered Yukimura was going to get when I wore it on our wedding night. I couldn't help but to grin at that idea.
I wrapped the robe back up and we went back to finishing up my dress. We chatted and giggled the entire time. We had just finished my dress and were hanging it up when there was a commotion in the halls.
"How dare you come into my castle, unless you are looking for death!" Kenshin declared.
"Lord Kenshin, please stop this. You know they were invited." Came Sasuke's calm collected voice.
"Seriously, remember you agreed to this for the wedding." Yukimura said.
The other girls and I were exiting out into the hallway to see what all the fuss was about. Just as we stepped out, I heard a familiar commanding voice. "It was you and the tiger who invited us here. My lucky charm has been living under your roof or have you forgotten?"
I turned to see Nobunaga and the other Oda warlords standing in the hall. Kenshin was standing with his blad pointed at Nobunaga, who stood smirking and looking perfecty calm.
"Though I want to kill the bastard as much as you, Kenshin, we did agree to letting them come for the wedding." Shingen said, looking at Nobunaga with hatred. "We have more honor than that."
Kenshin sighed after a moment and then put his sword away. "There had better be plenty of sake for this wedding banquet."
"Wha….what in the world is going on here?" I asked, getting everyone's attention as Kenshin began to walk away.
"We came for your wedding, of course, little one." Mitsuhide said, giving me that cheshire grin.
"You didn't think I was going to let anyone else cook your wedding banquet, lass?" Masamune asked, grinning at me.
"Of course we were going to come." Hideyoshi said. "Even if you do have questionable taste in your choice of husband."
Yukimura glared. "Hey, you guys might be a little nicer. I am the one who invited you here."
"The lad does have a point." Masamune said, grinning.
"You…invited them?" I asked.
"Yes, Yuki came to us asking permission to have the Oda come. He said he thought it would be a wonderful gift for his bride to be." Shingen said, affectionately patting Yukimura on the shoulder.
Yukimura bristled and his cheeks flushed. Sasuke was then agreeing to show the Oda warlords to their rooms. Yukimura was brushing Shingen's hand away and then taking my hand in his. "Come on." He said, leading me to our room.
"What's going on, Yukimura?" I asked him.
He let out a sigh. "I know you still think of those guys as your family." He began. "And I know you wrote them about the wedding, but…the look on your face…I could tell you were really sad about them not being able to come…so I talked to Lord Shingen and Lord Kenshin about it and got their permission to let the Oda guys come here for the wedding…had to agree to some extra training with Lord Kenshin and let Shingen have some extra sweets…but I wanted to let you have something. You've already given up a lot to be with me."
I blinked for a moment, stunned by Yukimura's sweetness. A big smile then came to my face and I flung myself at him, wrapping my arms around him as I tackled him. "Yukimura…thank you!" I said, squeezing him.
Yukimura paused for a moment before wrapping his own arms around me. "What else was I supposed to do, dummy?" He replied. "I can't have my bride be sad on our wedding day."
The next couple of days till our wedding were a bit rough with enemies all being under the same roof, but we managed to make it to the big day without everyone killing each other. Yukimura and I had spent the night before our wedding away from each other. Sasuke had somehow managed to get all of the guys together for a Sengoku style bachelor party and I had spent the night with my fellow seamstresses having a bachelorette-type slumber party.
I spent the morning getting ready, taking a nice bath and then working on my hair. Yoshimoto had insisted on helping me with my makeup and then the girls were helping me get dressed. I stood in front of a mirror, inspecting my reflection. My dress was a combination of kimono and wedding dress. It was white silk and I had gathered it up and created frills in some places along the skirt and sleeves. I wore a red obi and there were red flowers embroidered over the fabric.
I was so pleased with how my dress had turned out. It was just as beautiful as I imagined. And I couldn't believe that I got to wear it for my wedding day. "Lady Ava, it's time to get going." One of the maids told me.
"Alright, thanks." I said.
I took a deep breath before leaving my room and making my way to the garden. Yukimura stood on the veranda, waiting for me. He was dressed in his hakama, which I had made to look similar to a tux…and man did he look good in it. He turned at the sound of my approach. His cheeks reddened ever so slightly.
"How…how did you even make that?" He asked, getsuring to my dress.
"With a needle and thread." I answered. "The same way I made your clothes."
Yukimura let out a huff of exasperation. "That's not what I meant and you know it, dummy."
I smiled and stuck my tongue out at him. "You know…this is the part where you're supposed to tell me that I look beautiful…especially because I think you look amazing."
A flush crept up to his ears. "You…" He said, looking away. He then looked back at me as he reached out to take my hand, lacing our fingers together. "You look beautiful and stunning…and I'm one lucky man because I get to marry you today."
It was my turn to blush now. Though I didn't look away from him and smiled. "I think I'm lucky to get to marry you today."
Yukimura lifted our joined hands and placed a kiss on the back of my hand. "Come on."
We left the porch and made our way to the garden, where everyone was gathered. Even though the Oda and Uesugi-Takeda were still enemies, there was no tension in the air. There was nothing but love and happiness in the air as everyone was gathered to celebrate mine and Yukimura's love.
A preist from the local shrine had come to preside over the ceremony. We knelt in front of the makeshift alter as we began the ceremony. I couldn't help but to smile as Yukimura drank the sake and then passed the first cup to me. Once we had finished the sake, Yukimura ws reading the vows of commitment and then together we placed the offering on the alter.
Once the ceremonu was over, we were turning to each other, Yukimura taking both of my hands in his. "I love you, Ava." He said, before pulling me close and placing a light kiss on my lips.
I smiled and blushed. "I love you, too Yukimura." I replied.
He grinned at me. "My wife."
I returned the grin. "My husband."

My Ikesen OC Misaki Akechi (formerly Toshimasa). Made these (very) rough sketches of her (plus Mitsuhide.) She's basically a revamp of my old oc Kaoruko, she's got a new name and backstory. I'll put the lore under the cut!
Misaki's father was looking for an alliance with Nobunaga and since she was to be wed anytime soon, she asked her father to marry her off to someone in the Oda Clan. Nobunaga wasn't available (Mai exists within this story, which sort of follows Nobu's route in aspect to her relationship with him. Mai and Misaki become friends eventually!), but she heard rumors about Mitsuhide had made her want to know him. Eventually her father asked for a wedding between Mitsuhide and Misaki.
Misaki and her father stay for some days in the Oda castle and eventually the wedding is celebrated. One afternoon, she runs into Mai, who has letters for Mitsuhide and offers to take them from Mai. Eventually, she runs into Mitsuhide but he's talking with someone plotting against Nobunaga.
She's not seen by either of them but she goes to the Akechi manor very upset and waits late into the night expecting to see Mitsuhide and talk with him. She confronts him; the alliance between her father and Nobunaga is very recent, she's afraid that consequences will fall upon her father if Mitsuhide were to betray the Oda.
He tries to both distract her and dissuade her but when Misaki hears that Mitsuhide is going on a ´work´trip, she insists on going with him. Seeing there's nothing he can do to stop her, they both depart. Thus, they pretend to be performers to join a troupe; Misaki is delighted, she's always wanted to be a dancer but her father deemed it beneath her station.
They finish their trip with the play and... that's about how much I've thought about it haha.
I've mostly been thinking about the modern AU I've made up for them but I'll write that in another post!

omg YES that is so Theo 😭 he probably even tells Mozart to give Arthur a chance as well and to stop glaring at him every single time lmaoo
Theo would be the best man and MC would be the maid of honour at reader and Arthur’s wedding 🤩 and Mozart walks reader down the isle while slightly glaring at Arthur warning him to be a good husband xD
I’m looking forward to the spin-off series :D oh and I’ve suddenly got a thought; you know how vampires crave the blood of the human they love? Which means Arthur really wants to drink reader’s blood but doing that would be a death sentence because of Mozart :) (for now)
Please but reader would actually get along so well with MC because our MC is sweet and kind; and imagine if MC comes to reader for advice on her feelings about Mozart. Reader would be delighted and might accidentally lock them in Mozart’s music room together- ehe-
And no problem! Actually I should be the one thanking you instead for writing this amazing fic :D
-🥀 anon
Theo is the best wingman. No one can convince me otherwise now, HAUSHAUAAH. anything to keep reader or MC away from his broer coughcough
Can you imagine how much Arthur's struggling? He must be dying to bite reader! They will have to hide their neck with make up (if there's any), hair and clothes for a few days, HAUSHAUAHA.
Ans they do get along! I love ikevamp MC, she's nice, kind and so funny sometimes! Ikesen has a funny MC too, from what I remember.
Reader will give Mozart and MC a get-along shirt, HAUSHAUAHAUAH

TokyoRev involves time travel and gang themes. I got into it bc I thought the charas were adults but a huge chunk is like.. during their middle school years but they show them as adults years into the future so it's worth it for me. DISCLAIMER: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS: KENSHIN UESUGI, LANCELOT KINGSLEY, COMTE DE SAINT-GERMAIN, AND LICHT KLEIN. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I think the nightmare I just set myself up for finally hit me. I just now realized what routes I have currently selected across ikesen, ikerev, ikevamp, and ikepri and all I have to say is- Shit, Im gonna be an emotional wreck, arent I?
The routes I currently have selected are:
Ikesen: Kenshin Uesugi
Ikerev: Lancelot Kingsley
Ikevamp: Comte de Saint-Germain
Ikepri: Licht Klein
Please ignore the fact that 3/4 of them are blonde-I swear I dont have a type. Thats a lie. I totally do. But its not blondes lol- God, I need to stop. I am not funny.
I dont know much about Comte's route besides that fact he and Mitsuki get married at the end of his romantic route, and that his real name is Abel. Funny story there! I didnt even learn his real name from his route, I learned because of fucking spoilers. Shortly after his route came out, I played uhh one of the wedding events and bought his epilogue because Im a whore- In the epilogue, they used his real name- So thats how I found out. I was a bit mad like, "Wow I just spent 300 diamonds get to spoiled. Wtf." But I figured Id probably forget because autism brain.
Which I did forget, until I found a oneshot book on wattpad that used Comte for the title, but then used Abel throughout the entire fucking oneshot without warning. I was maybe half-way through the oneshot before questioning, "who the fuck is Abel and where's le Comte? Oh- OH WAIT- ABEL IS COMTE-" So lil message to fanfic writers, treat your readers like idiot babies and put warnings for potential spoilers. Some people (me, im people) read oneshots without playing the actual route first. Im not actually that bothered by spoilers, Id just appreciate being warned first.
Back to the main subject of this post- I dont know if le Comte's route is sad or not. Knowing the devs, it probably is though. I already know that Licht's route is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster like holy shit- I hate touching others but Id gladly ignore every single one of my sensory issues if it meant I could give this poor sad man a hug. Ive been warned that Kenshin's route is a bit intense, but I just keep telling myself that he cant be worse than Nobunaga and it'll all be worth it in the end. To just shut the fuck up with your anxiety and date the pretty but secretly soft yandere boy. Ive heard Lancelot's route is sad, but Im prepared. Similarly to Mitsuhide, Ive already played a few routes before Lancelot's that he was a major part in so I have some idea of how his may end.
But all I see is that Ive set myself up for a potentially very emotional rollercoaster so in about a week or maybe even a month, I'll share how my potential mental breakdown is going.

Here we go again 🎶 [Rant concerning Cybird’s favoritism]
Tumblr media
TOLD YOU! But I am genuinely surprised the other popular LIs didn’t hit the goal, but then again, I called Nobunaga being among the winners. Where’s my coins now? And to be honest, the ticket stipulation for votes is very not f2p friendly, since we are restricted to five tickets a day. Would have been better if they somehow could measure how many people chose a specific route during the timeframe they gave, and I know they could tell route metrics, if the LIs they select for story events were any indication.
Oh, speaking of story events:
Tumblr media
🎶One of these things are not like the others, one of these things just doesn’t belong🎶
Oh, Mitsunari, you poor, cinnamon roll.
I must declare, I have no hate towards the popular characters, hell, some of them use to be my favorites when I first got into ikesen. However, I recall Masamune being in a recent story event, same with Kenshin! Where’s. The. Variety?
One popular character is fine, but damn, must it always be practically the same roster over and over again? Ranmaru’s bday is coming up, why not choose him to be a LI here? Why not go with a romancing the spies SE, where the lineup is Keiji, Kanetsugu, Ranmaru, and Motonari? I just gave you a theme! Or how about another theme, men that remind you of the summertime, like Shingen, Hideyoshi, Keiji, and Ranmaru? I do not know about everyone else, but I am practically begging for more f2p content about the current routeless guys and the Underdogs. I want to know more details about them, no matter how small! Have Kanetsugu host a damn book club, have Keiji rear in a hoard of angry wild boars (Not MC), have Ranmaru throw a pop star-esque show! Hell, just… ANYTHING!
I really like the popular characters, I do. But it is about high time to share the popular characters’ spotlight with the rest of the cast. Once I get through this damn writer’s block of mine, I will get right to that, but oh my goodness…
It is like eating the same food everyday. Sure, its your favorite, sure, its tasty, but sometimes you just want something different, something besides your favorites.
If time constraints are the issue regarding SEs and CEs, then I much prefer they just delay them and take the time to make great LONG events that everyone can enjoy at their leisure. They be talking about all for love, but that love seems to only be for the popular characters, and it is beyond infuriating.
When fellow fanfic writers have written far more compelling and interesting stories about the characters that you choose to neglect, then we have a big problem, don’t we?
When artists make beautiful fanart of the characters you choose to neglect, then we have another big problem!
When you neglect the opportunities to give the underdogs their own birthday fests and only give it to select characters, we also have a big problem.
You added more LIs, and for what? To push them to the background and continue to just churn more content for your favorites? What’s the point of including more LIs to begin with, then?!
I will be damned if they keep adding more LIs when a huge chunk of the ones they already have had been neglected. And what about characters who have been here since the near beginning, like Yukimura? Where’s their grand variety of content, huh? Oh. my. goodness.
And sorry, but p2w content for them does not count when their f2p content is abysmally low compared to your popular characters! Do better! Ramp up the romance! Since you seem to refuse to, then it is up to us ikesen fans to make up for it!
