A/N: i got the most amazing request to do like a little women type of thing between chrissy, eddie, and chrissy’s sister inspired by the jo, laurie, and amy relationship and i thought it was absolutely brilliant, so here it is! also i’ve aged chrissy up to about 19 and reader is 18, while eddie is 20 :) enjoy! -sava

The sun was shining high in the August air, the heat mixed with all the physical activity you and your family had been doing making you exhausted. Taking a break, you watch from the front porch as Chrissy and your parents close the trunk to Jason’s car, packed to the brim with her things and ready to join her on her college journey. Jason talks with your parents a bit as you watch Chrissy begin to cry. You weren’t ready to not have your big sister in your life every day, hours away cheering from some collegiate team as she pretends to study for a future career. You knew your sister, but maybe college would be different. Regardless, it was still a sad day for the Cunningham household.

Jason and Chrissy applied to the same colleges, and he had head up weeks ago to bond with his basketball teammates and sign the lease agreement on their apartment, that way your parents wouldn’t have to make the journey with Chrissy on the road to go help set things up. Their plan was to fly out tomorrow to help the both of them unpack the rest of their things and get them as settled as possible before coming back home to you. You didn’t want to go if you were going to be honest, saving yourself some pain if you just say goodbye now. Plus, you wanted your parents to be able to spend some time with their first born and favorite child before she left the nest.

Chrissy starts walking up to you and you rise to your feet, looking down as she meets you on the porch of your childhood home. She nudges you in the stomach and you look up at her, tears in her eyes with her mascara running a bit. You feel your lip quivering and quickly pull her into a hug, your grip on her strong and crying into her shoulder as she does the same.

“I’m gonna miss you, you know,” you tell her. She pulls back from your hug and wipes her nose and tears on her sleeve, flashing you a smile.

“I’m gonna miss you too. You can come visit anytime you want, we’ll have a spare room and a couch,” she tells you. You smile at her and she wraps her arm around your shoulder as you head towards Jason’s car. Down the road, you hear the booming of loud music carry down your street, the all familiar van that belonged to Eddie Munson, the town outcast…the man who stole your heart.

You’ve had a crush on Eddie for the longest time, ever since your freshman year at Hawkins High. He was a junior and led the Hellfire club, which was never your particular interest but you thought about joining it to get closer to the metalhead. You found yourself attending his gigs at the Hideout every Tuesday, cheering on his band from the very small crowd. The feelings you felt towards him were deep, always smiling in his presence and adoring his little quirks and his eccentric theatrics.

The only problem with being in love with the Eddie Munson was that he did not reciprocate your feelings. His eyes were set on another member of the Cunningham family. Your sister, Chrissy.

He let it slip to you one night when you two were quite drunk that he’s had a thing for Chrissy since middle school, adoring her tooth-filled smile and strawberry blonde ponytail, being able to spot her from a mile away and always lighting up when she walked in the room. To say it hurt was an understatement, as you’ve always been compared to your sister in every aspect of your life. You both had struggled with your weight as children, with Chrissy being able to lose it faster than you did, and boy did she make that known to you.

You weren’t a cheerleader like Chrissy, settling for joining the newspaper, debate club, and Hellfire rather than trying to force yourself into the jock crowd like your sister. Sure, they would try to let you in and welcome you to the best of their abilities if you chose to go that route in your high school career, but you decided the life of academia mixed with fun was more your speed. AP classes, state-wide competitions, hell, you thought about running for class president, but decided against it when Nancy Wheeler offered you the spot as lead editor for the school paper. But that achievement was overshadowed when you walked through the door after Chrissy beat you home, announcing her full-ride cheer scholarship to an amazing school hours away.

The love you felt for Chrissy was real, truly. You both would spend a lot of time with one another when you weren’t focussed on your extra circulars and personal lives. But there would always be that small part of you that would never be able to truly be separate from her. Both your parents comparing you to her, and you expected it more than ever as you enter your senior year.

With a slam of his van door, Eddie walks out with a small box in his hand, a smile smeared on his face as he approaches the two of you.

“Well hello Cunninghams,” he greets you. Blushing, you wave at him and break away from Chrissy, going in for the first hug. The cigarette smell and cheap beer linger on him from the night before, soothing your nerves a bit with his signature Eddie scent. You pull back and go closer to Chrissy, trying to continue the facade of keeping your feelings to yourself and yourself only. You watch as he turns to Chrissy, his smile widening as they go in for a hug.

“I got you something,” Eddie tells her, holding out his arm. Her eyes brighten and she takes the box.

“What is it?” She asks.

“It’s a surprise, so don’t open it around anyone, okay? Especially that dickhead of a boy-“

“You want something, freak?” You turn and see Jason standing there a few feet away. Eddie backs up a few steps, not wanting to start anything.

“Relax Jason, you know we’re friends,” Chrissy tells him, walking closer to him and wrapping her arms around his torso. You were never a fan of Jason, your feelings for Eddie aside. He was rude to everyone who was different from him, except you, only because you’re related to his girlfriend. Chrissy was protective of you and he knew that, so he always put on his best behavior in front of you and your parents. But you saw the way he treated the rest of the Hellfire members at school and basically anyone who wasn’t a jock or sort-of popular. It made your blood boil having to interact with this two-face prick, but you knew Chrissy really liked him for some reason, so swallowing your pride for the sake of her happiness was something you could manage.

Watching Chrissy place Eddie’s gift in the car, you turn to him and nudge him in the stomach, pulling him back from whatever reality he fixated on as he stared at Chrissy. He looks down at you and smiles, using your shoulder to prop himself up. The height difference between the two of you killed you every time, and he made sure to poke fun at it any chance he got.

“Are we still on for tomorrow, movie night at your place?” You ask him.

“Of course sweetheart. I’m running to Family Video to pick up the goods later, and to talk to Harrington about something.”

“Good. Not sure how I feel about staying home late at night alone since Mom and Dad will be up with Chrissy. They’ve never left me alone before,” you explain to him.

“Well you’re 18 now, so that just means they trust you more. Plus with your sister with you a majority of the time, you’ve never really had to stay by yourself,” he tells you, offering some reassurance.

“That’s true I suppose. Guess it’s something I’m going to have to start getting used to.”

You look up at him and your eyes make contact for a brief moment, allowing the air working its way out to hitch in your throat. Those big brown eyes were always a weakness of yours, it was your favorite quality about him, other than his nurturing side.

“We should probably get going, Chris,” Jason says loud enough for everyone to hear. You break away from Eddie and watch as Chrissy makes her rounds of goodbye between some friends that had been there already and you and your family. You give her a squeeze and feel your tears brim your eyes once more. Pulling away, she makes her way to Eddie, a sad expression on his face as his towering figure envelops her in a hug. Your smile twitches for a moment, seeing how sad Eddie was to say goodbye, still not having told her how he really felt, but also because of all the emotions you knew he was bottling up inside continued to make the hopes of ever being with him grow less and less.

Hoping in the passenger seat, Chrissy turns and waves at everyone as Jason starts the car, rolling down the road of your neighborhood and driving off into the distance, off to start their newest chapter. With a sigh, you turn back to Eddie, who still has a mopey look on his face.

“I should probably get going myself. Promised Henderson I’d hang out with him today at the arcade,” he tells you, his hands digging into the front pockets of his ripped up black jeans as he relaxes his shoulders. You flash him a small smile, internally basking in how good he looked when he seemed a bit more relaxed.

“Okay Eds, I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?” You ask. He simply nods and scurries off to his van, starting the engine and the booming sound of Metallica flooding your street. You wave at him as he speeds off, waiting to wipe the smile off your face until after you’ve spun around and close the front door of your house behind you.

Knocking on the door to his trailer, you swing back and forth on the tips of your converse covered toes, swinging the six pack you picked up on the way a bit, but not too much. You were wearing a knee length black dress with long flowing sleeves, wanting to feel a bit pretty during your errands you ran earlier after dropping your parents off at the airport. Picking up some groceries for the days you’d be alone, running the Family Video to say hi to Steve and Robin and pick a movie to watch, in case Eddie picked something you ended up not liking, and a few more places around town, you thought why not look good doing so?

The noise of tumbling around from inside Eddie’s trailer concerns you a bit, before being met face to face with your favorite metalhead as he swung open the door. His hair was disheveled and a bottle of beer rested in his hands.

“Welcome back to my castle,” he slightly slurs out, his form scooting slightly to make room for you to pass through the threshold.

“Looks like you started without me,” you say, taking in his surroundings. A few empty beer bottles were scattered around his kitchen and living room and papers were thrown around everywhere.

“If it helps, some are from last night,” he hiccups, carefully working his way back to the couch and plopping himself down. You let out a small sigh, placing your six pack down and grabbing a bottle for yourself after fishing out a few of the movies you rented earlier.

“I know you went to Family Video yesterday, but I brought back up movies just in case,” you tell him, waving around the tapes and placing them on the coffee table, seating yourself next to him. You watch him run his hand through his hair as his face scrunches.

“Oh nooo. I forgot to go, I’m sorry Y/N,” he whines out. You chuckle and place your hand on his knee for reassurance.

“Relax, Eds. That’s why I always come prepared,” you say, rising from your spot. You go through the tapes and pick one, crouching by his television set and popping it into the VCR.

“You’re the best, you know that? Like the best best, ever,” he lets out, his voice all happy and cheerful, making you laugh to yourself. Turning back, you sit back down and pop open your beer and bringing the glass bottle to your lips as you chug some of the malty concoction.

About two hours into your movie night, the two of you just put in your second film and you were one and a half bottles of beer in, while Eddie was working on finishing his third since you’ve been there. He had a buzz for sure, but he has a high tolerance, but in regards for alcohol and weed. Your head rests against his very broad shoulder, as it usually does when you’ve been drinking during your movie nights.

Beneath you, you feel Eddie shift a bit, turning to look his way and seeing his eyes on you, face mere inches from yours. You give him a small smile and turn your attention back to the movie, before feeling his ring clad fingers brush against the warmth of your cheek, turning your head back to him. You watch his eyes move from your own down to your lips, slowly inching closer to you until his lips were latched to yours. Your inebriated was causing you to just sit there, allowing his lips to move against yours. The alcohol was strong on his breath, but his lips were soft and now tasted like your cherry lip gloss. You felt like you couldn’t process what was happening for a moment.

Until you felt Eddie lean further into the kiss, his actions becoming a bit rougher and more intense. That’s when it hit you that this was actually happening.

“Eddie, what the hell?” You ask, pulling away from him as you scoot away from him on the couch. The buzz you were feeling moments before quickly dissipates as you look to Eddie with confusion written across your features. His face scrunches in confusion, matching your own as he leans up on his elbows to look at you.

“What do you mean? I was kissing you. You know what that is, right?” He asks, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Yes, silly. I just…where’s this coming from?” You ask.

“Why does it matter? Can’t I just kiss you?” He leans towards you again, but you put your hand out against his chest to stop him.

“Stop, please. I’m just confused. You’ve always had a thing for Chrissy,” you explain, your heart banging against your chest. Sure, you have dreamed about this situation countless times, but never did you think it’d happen so out of the blue. Where was this coming from?

“Well she’s gone with Jason, so what does that matter?” He huffs out, his arms slinging up as he speaks. You could feel your heart slowing cracking at the sight of him so upset at the mention of your sister. He still liked her, it was totally obvious. Some small part of you was beginning to think he never would stop. So why was he trying to kiss you?

“I know, but-“

“Look, do you not want this, Y/N? I’m putting myself out there and you’re just dodging around it,” he asks, turning his entire body towards you to gauge a reaction from you. Playing with your hands in your lap, your eyes make friends with the couch beneath you, not wanting to look up and see Eddie’s disappointed look.

“You don’t get it,” you whisper.

“What was that? I can’t hear you.”

“I said you don’t get it,” you tell him louder, rising off the couch and walking a few feet away from him, beginning to pace around his living room. “I have been second best to Chrissy my entire life. I’m not a good enough daughter, not a good enough popular student, hell there’s a lot more. So you sitting here and trying to get with me after years of pining after Chrissy is physically hurting me Eddie. I’m not going to be the girl you settle for because you can’t have her,” you explain to him, your arms failing about as you try to get through to him. His face is emotionless as you speak, the gears turning in his head trying to form a coherent thought due to his drunken state.

“It hurts even more knowing that I’ve been in love with you for years,” you let out softly.

“Wait what?” He whispers, standing on his own feet and trying to come closer to you. You take a few steps back, not knowing if you could trust yourself if you got too close to Eddie. You were vulnerable and putting your heart on the line, plus you have alcohol in your system, causing all inhibitions sober you would normaly have go flying out the window.

“Don’t act like you’ve never noticed the way I’ve look at you. I’m sure the Hellfire boys will know exactly what I’m talking about. Hell, I feel like I’m so bad at hiding my true feelings about you that even Chrissy herself knows!” you scream. You didn’t know what you were saying, the words just pouring from your lips as you spoke.

“Chrissy, I mean Y/N shit. Please let’s just sit down and-“

Are you fucking serious? You scoff at the mention of your sister’s name, your heart dropping into your stomach as you turn from him, swallowing the sob that so badly wanted to escape pass your lips.

“You know what? I don’t think I want to be here right now. I need some time away from you Eddie, I can’t talk or even think about this anymore right now,” you tell him, gathering your things and stuffing them in the small bag you carried with you.

“You were the one who said you didn’t want to be alone tonight,” Eddie points out. He had a point, but you couldn’t have seen this happening tonight, so given the circumstances, you’d overcome that barrier sooner rather than later. You continue gathering your things, ejected the movie from the VCR and shoving it in your bag then slinging it over your shoulder.

“I think I’ll manage,” you spit out, your voice filled with venom. You see Eddie frown out of the corner of your eye, fighting the urge to lunge at you and hold you tight in his arms in an attempt to keep you from leaving. But even he knew you were hard headed and stubborn, having your mind made up and not thinking otherwise.

“Y-you’ve been drinking, Y/N, you can’t drive like this, I won’t let you,” he says, moving slightly closer to you. He runs his fingers through his hair hurriedly, brushing his bangs back as a sign that he was getting overwhelmingly nervous. You turn back to look at him, the tears in your eyes on the brink of falling.

“Then I’ll walk. Goodbye Eddie,” you say, taking a few steps towards the door and passing through it while slamming it behind you in one fell swoop, leaving Eddie stunned by your confession and your actions. What the hell just happened?

Girl I have SO MANY ideas for this, like I daydream about that man basically 24/7 (it’s a problem 😅) anyways if it’s cool with you I’ll just list out a few thoughts and if anything gives you inspiration to write then please do! If not then no worries just lemme vent out all my silly romantic frustrations 😅 sorry this is long and btw anytime I say reader this goes for plus size reader or however you wanna write the reader, I’m a plus size girl myself but I don’t mind it’s up to you!

1, Jake & reader have a series of bets (sorry Amy, I’m taking your man & his games!) like reader bets Jake can’t go a week without sugar/coffee, Jake bets reader she can’t take something out of holts office without him noticing etc ect.

2, elevator make outs!! (This could build on the bets like in relationship Jake & reader have bets on how long they can kiss in the elevator without getting caught, or they have a no kissing rule at work that one of them breaks in the elevator!)

3, reader is a barista in a little cafe/bakery place and Jake comes in, she thinks he’s cute so she gives him a free pastry and flirting happens! This occurs over several weeks until reader gets in trouble with her boss and Jake overhears then offers to take reader on an actual dinner date to pay back all his freebie’s (and because he likes her obviously 😂)

4, reader teaches Jake how to cook, lots of mess & failed attempts happen but also it’s flirty & fun! Kitchen kisses 😘 (I am yearning!!)

5, reader is a prosecutor working a case with Jake, as they go over evidence they develop a mutual respect & attraction that ends up flirty & either Jake kisses reader for luck before she goes to court or after winning the case reader kisses Jake to celebrate!

6, reader is coming over to Jakes appartement for the first time and the squad makes him paranoid about her hating his messy place so he tries desperately to tidy up but struggles & gets stressed but when reader comes over early and sees him spiralling she settles him down and says she’s not bothered by his mess, she knows him and loves him regardless! Maybe also offers to help sort out a few things with him (*cough cough* mail tub)

7, reader is harassed/bullied on the street (or in another precinct as a new detective) and Jake sees & goes hard defending her! (I love it when jakes gets angry and protective)

8, insecure reader and/or insecure Jake. Both have a hard day and don’t feel great about themselves but when the other sees them upset they immediately go to cheer them up, showering them in love & compliments and they end up cuddling 🥰 ik this is vague but just comforting vibes are needed!

9, Mafia Jake.. does anything! I’m obsessed with him in this era and there is barely anything about him 😭 reader could be his fbi contact who helps him with his new role, or in adjusting back to normal life after the case is done (also in getting over Amy, sorry again girl but how tf could you let this man go?!) OR reader is in the Ianucci (idk how to spell 😅) family but wants out/isn’t a criminal and so Jake helps her, or is assigned by the family to protect her, or she’s a rival and Jake has to intimidate her but they end up flirting! Sorry that one has so many alternatives but my god the world needs more of mafia Jake!!

Answering your ask about not giving up a ship on Twitter (what is my i will hang on, teeth and claws). And ive really gotten into multi shipping lately. That all the scouts (the age appropriate ones) are in love with each other. The outers and the inners live separately, but only cuz its hard to find a house that big where they are. (But true to my big fat greek wedding style, thier houses are in a row and they can always see each other)🤣🥰

I have nothing against senshi poly-cule, I think it's fun!

It's not my go-to, but I'm not against it. I like to think some senshi having differing levels of friendship, attraction and respect toward each other.

I'll actually give my opinion on each individual ship. If I think they work, why they do or don't work and why I like them if they do. (p.s. Mamo is not included here, but I do tend to default ship UsaMamo, even if it's pretty poorly written most of the time)

Long post ahead! Hope you appreciate this, it took me a ton of time and I suck at writing.

BEFORE YOU READ THIS, THESE ARE MY OPINIONS, BASED ON MY HEADCANONS/CHARACTER INTERPRETATIONS WITH A BIT OF CANON SPRINKLED HERE AND THERE ( I do not want to see you typing " ..but x character is straight.." , I will come to your house and steal al the toilet paper!!!)

Let's start with Usagi:

(I'll mostly focus on the other side of the party, cause I honestly believe Usagi would be happy with anyone, being able to work though personal preferences more than most people)

🌙💧UsagixAmi: I can see it! They are actually a guilty pleasure ship of mine, they are super cute, and I think they would both respect and love each other enough to work through some stability issues in the relationship. Mostly stemming from not being able to spend enough time with each other. I see Usagi as very clingy and needing to interact physically and emotionally with her partner on a regular basis. While Ami would have the patience to deal with the more emotional moments from Usagi, aka immaturity. This ship works for me, though it needs work from both parties to keep a healthy balance.

🌙🔥UsagixRei: I... don't really see it.. srry. Ik people love it and ik it's an amazing friendship, but I just can't see them interacting healthly on a daily basis. Rei is incredibly independent, while Usagi really isn't. Which is totally fine if matched with the right partner, but Rei would just end up being too frustrated and her love for Usagi would just turn into spite. She needs her space and tbh, she really needs someone who could drop her like a hot potato if the case need be. Overall, an AMAZING friendship, wouldn't work in a relationship. Rei as a friend is just too different from Rei as a lover, and that Rei is not made to be with Usagi.

🌙⚡️UsagixMakoto: I can kind of see it, like AmixUsagi. My only real issue would stem from the fact that Ami has a lot more patience than Mako. Mako is a caretaker, she loves and thrives taking care of others, but she does get frustrated by Usagi's occasional lack of emotional control. Leading me to think Mako would prefer someone with more emotional maturity, tho she would never admit it, or even consciously relate to it as a preference she's looking for in a partner. Tho them cuddling, eating and chilling out would actually work really well, cause I do already see them being very affectionate platonically too. Ship's cute, but quite flawed, would need a LOT of work from both parties do last any significant amount of time and pressure.

🌙💛UsagixMinako: this one's complicated. On one side, yes! I can see it working quite well, on another.. it's a complete disaster. Let me explain. If you were to ask me if I think that Mina and Usagi could work as a couple, I would say yes. They are both very fun, loving, care free gals, who are both emotionally intelligent (Usagi is emotionally intelligent, not mature) and who are very aware of each other's feelings. On the other hand you're asking me if Mina, the leader of a superhero team, the one who's hands would be stained with blood if anything were to ever happen to any of her subordinates, if she would be willing to completely set aside her relationship when it comes to a fundamental rift in ideologies between her and her princess. I don't think Mina would be strong enough to put herself through that, to hurt Usagi when she knows it would be the inevitable, over and over. You cannot save everyone and while she can say that has her leader, I think she could not muster to say it as a lover. Overall cute, if extremely dramatic given the senshi angle, but I don't think it would work.

🌙🗡UsagixHaruka: no. Just no. They are both immature emotional wrecks ready to pass by the McDonald's drive through for a happy meal. They are quite similar in a lot of ways and while I see their friendship as something very precious, they would not work as lovers.

🌙🌊UsagixMichiru: I think I said it quite well once, so I'll reuse it in this situation. "If Michiru had met Usagi instead of Haruka back in S, I think Michiru would've walked into traffic by sunset". Ok, all seriousness, no. I personally find it really hard to see Michiru with anyone that isn't Haruka, let alone someone that isn't a butch lesbian. So, nah, sorry.

🌙🕒UsagixSetsuna: my hc Setsuna is very different from canon Setsuna. I don't see her with anyone. She's just Pluto.

Ami

💧🔥AmixRei: the only way I can see this ship working is in a first fling type of way. Like 2 inexperienced teens wanting to give love a chance with another pretty girl, while being awkward af mfs. If we're talking about them dating after being friends for a long time, I don't see it being stable. Ami is incredibly intelligent, but more like booksmart, not really people smart, while Rei is the literal incarnation of a jigsaw puzzle covered in spikes. There would be little to no direct and clear communication between the two, Rei would feel frustrated like no other cause her 'signs' are CLEARLY SO OBVIOUS MIZUNO! Meanwhile Ami just can't deal with brain games in a romantic relationship (mostly stemming from my autistic Ami hc), with the person she would share a house with.. uh.. l think not, sorry. In the end, I see it working for a bit as a first relationship that ends in them staying close friends, but not anything long-term.

💧⚡️AmixMakoto: AAAHHh, ok I get a chance to talk about them. I'LL KEEP IT BRIEF! I love them, you know this already. They are very simple, direct and loving partners. They have the most boring, loving, drama free, cuddle and love filled relationship in the universe. It's boring, but idc, it's just pure fluff and I love them. The only argument I could see them getting into, on rare occasions, is Ami being Ami and being way too busy for her own good. Mako is a caretaker, yes, but she also wants to be taken care of and spend quality time with her lover. I can see Mako getting silent angry when Ami picks up one too many shifts, while also feeling a bit guilty about it, cause she knows how much her job means to Ami. They would talk and work through it slowly, day by day. Ok, anyhow, love them, NO NOTES!

💧💛AmixMinako: sorry, I think people who follow me are sick of hearing this, but one more time for the people in the back. I do not see Ami and Minako as being good friends. They eventually come to being able to interact one on one without wanting to blow the other's brains off, but I do not ever think they would come to any mutual attraction. It's a bit of a hot take on my part, but I have no issue seeing Mina as a bit of a bully. She loves attention, she knows Ami is an easy target, she bothers Ami, Ami gets mad. Most often silent mad. She eventually does start to snide back, even quite smartly! But they would rarely have that one to one moment I see almost every single one of the girls coming to throughout their friendship. So.... I don't see it, but it's mostly due to my unique perspective of each character.

💧🗡AmixHaruka: AHAHAHAHAHA. ur funny.

💧🌊AmixMichiru: you can refer to my reasoning on UsagixMichiru, srry Ami, you just ain't her type (not butch enough). Though, I do see them becoming really good friends as adults, once Michiru decided to chill tf out and act like a human being and Ami learns a bit more about 'how-to-human 101'. No, no's the answer. I don't see it.

💧🕒AmixSestuna: refer to UsagixSestuna.

Rei

🔥⚡️ReixMakoto: I can see y people like them.. but I can't help but see them driving each other crazy. Rei does not need a caretaker, why would she want a home-made lunch every day, if ramen cups were on sale 10 for 10$, like.. hello!? Ok for real, I can't see it. (Srry Ik I'm breaking so many hearts rn). They are too independent and honestly, they are also two real dumb hardheads when they want to be. Their problems would mostly stem from caretaking and activity coordination, they would fight over everything unless they write down a plan and schedule to stick to it. Also small side note, Rei is really not the cuddly person, while Mako is quite the opposite so that would feel pretty hard to make work without making one feel uncomfortable or the other feel unloved. So, overall, great friendship, but they cannot be living together without a peace maker to ensure they don't eat each other alive.

🔥💛ReixMinako: YES! they got it all! Fluff, check. Drama, check. Interesting and layered dynamics, check. Complex yet comprehensible human to senshi spectrum, check! Funny, CHECK! Even tho Makoami is my personal fav ship, these two (along with Harumichi) are my must ship. Like I NEED to see this, why is no1 making this in canon?! I love how layered their dynamics are, from being the leader and second in command, yet being emotionally mature enough to separate their human counter-parts from their duties, while still truly caring for each other in their own unique way. Getting on each other's nerves, giving off the vibes that they could either be 2 seconds away from kicking each others' asses to taking it to the bedroom (it's impossible to tell the difference). They are just supremely interesting, both alone, but especially together. I could go on and on, but I seriously have no notes, it is just ENDLESS possibilities and endless entertainment.

🔥🗡ReixHaruka: they're two dumb gays. I do not see either of them finding any attractive traits about the other. It's just really that simple and I don't have much to comment on it.

🔥🌊ReixMichiru: again it goes to the attraction factor mostly, though I can see Rei finding Michiru attractive, if a bit psychotic (lol, it's part of the charm). I would love to explore a relationship between the two, and I prob will in the future, but it will just default to platonic. This is really kind of it tho, the major factor for me not shipping a lot of stuff is that I tend to default to friendship instead of romance, cause they both act and feel very differently from each other.

Makoto

⚡️💛MakotoXMinako: I love their friendship!... thas about it tho. My major issue is Makoto not being able to keep up with Mina, she would need someone more mellow and low key. Unlike Mako, Rei is not afraid to tell Minako NO, while Mako easily guilts herself from denying attention or needs from her partner to give herself some space. I usually default them as being best friends basically (childhood friends in hc), but thinking about anything long term for them would just make me feel for Mako. Mina needs constant attention and distraction, which is honestly a bit out of her control also, but still draining for anyone who is not 100% willing to put their foot down or have enough energy to match hers. So, great great great friendship, I love how they play off of each other, but being in a relationship, living in the same house... would turn into chaotic exhaustion and desperation.

⚡️🗡MakotoxHaruka: I don't see it. I'm happy to see Mako having Haruka as possibly her first gay awakening, but I tend to think that's as far as it goes (while I see Mako as BI, I do think she looks for different attributes she finds attractive for each gender, mostly looking for more masculine attributes in guys and more feminine attributes in women). I also tend to imagine they have an almost irrational hate-on for each other for a while, 'til they chill out and become sparring buddies, so I find it hard to factor in a relationship on top of that. Kind of a pass for me.

⚡️🌊MakotoxMichiru: i feel like I'll be repeating myself a lot here, so I'll skip to it. TLDR; you ain't Michiru's type. I can see an underrated friendship that could spur after year of reconciliation, but it would stop at a platonic boundary.

⚡️🕒MakotoxSetsuna: I'm def repeating myself. Though, I'd actually love to see them sewing together, that'd be adorable.

Minako

💛🗡MinakoxHaruka: no, I don't see it at all, sorry. They are buddies. Haruka's Mina emotional wreck puppy, she loves her and must protect her at all cost, but would prob hate to have to deal with in a romantic relationship. Haruka can match Mina's energy and spirit, but in a much more charming and almost naïve package. I see the two hanging out on a Friday night enjoying some cheap beer lovingly complaining/gushing about their partner to each other.

They are just too smart for their own good and they are really the only senshi who refuse to see each other for anything less than Minako as Sailor Venus and Michiru as Sailor Neptune. Like when I say Mina and Ami don't get along, they are still considering each other as basically 4 different individuals (human and senshi), in order to prioritize the mission and in a way as a coping mechanism. But Michiru and Minako, even when they do manage to be in the same room not sniping at each other, they still refer to each other as their senshi selves, even if the name they are calling is their human name. ... srry that was a tangent, yeah, I don't see it at all. Sorry, I don't really have much interesting left to say.

💛🕒MinakoxSetsuna: this one's sort of popular weirdly enough.. I don't really get it, but yeah, refer to UsagixSetsuna.

The Outers

🗡🌊HarukaxMichiru: I mean, what can I even say about this one that hasn't been said already a million times. I consider them the true miracle romance of the show (yes, I like Usamamo, but Harumichi is much better written). I adore how they play off the stereotypical femme and butch roles, while saying yes, but actually no and just doing their own unique thing instead. I find Michiru's fascination with Haruka uniquely intriguing, with Michi being such a complicated character onto herself and Haruka being deceivingly simple-minded. They don't seem like characters that were made just for being with each other; their motivations, experiences and morals are quite different, yet they collide so beautifully and seamlessly. I love everything about them, such a good blend of fluff, drama, tragedy and romance. NO. NOTES.

🌊🗡🕒🎇Outers family (SetsHaruMichi) (with kid Hotaru): ok, extremely hot take incoming, get ready cause I don't think ur gonna like it... I'm not a big fan of the happy outers family. Sorry, I don't hate it (in fact I find it pretty cute), but it's just not what I default to. Let me put aside Setsuna for a second and just explain it plain and simple that I just simply see her as an omniscient being not interested in an corporeal relationship that could interfere with her mission. She's just not human like the others are. Now, let me talk about Hotaru real quick. I've got some problems with her character in general, but that doesn't really matter. I just can't deal with having a character that powerful at a ready for plot convenience, it just kills all the tension and bloats the cast. The only way I'm ok with Michiru and Haruka caring for Hotaru is having them come to the decision themselves. No pushing from the other senshi, no guilt-tripping and no senshi duty related bs. Hotaru is a regular child now with a dead father, the decision is on them to adopt this child or to let her move on to another loving family, otherwise I just can't see it as anything else but 2 almost child murderers redeeming themselves by caring for the child they tried to kill and that just isn't healthy for nobody. Anyhow, not really a ship, but sort of counts, I could like it, but rewrite Hotaru. Give the kid some justice, damn it!

why is it that, in sonic x, anytime one of sonic’s longtime friends gets hurts he does his normal song and dance. but when chris, a kid he’s known for a whole few months, gets hurt, then it’s a problem and he turns into dark sonic???

like wtf bro, tails almost gets crushed to death in one episode and that’s not releasing a feral response??? you’re little brother is in danger is you’re not showing much interest???

not even shipping wise I think shadow and Amy make a really interesting duo, and not just the "grumpy with the sunshine" dynamic either, like they're really similiar in a lot of ways actually, where they really understand each other but also can really butt heads in an interesting, fun way too. and Ik for the most part their interactions thru the whole of sonic history is very little but the moments we get are rarely*, not never ofc haha, violent even when they're on opposing sides. obviously, ik that not a lot of energy is going into their interactions, but it does leave me with lots of like implicit information, like that shadow really doesn't see amy as an enemy, and vice versa, and that they have a mostly silent regard and respect for each other. and care too, there's very few other characters besides cream and Maria that I can think of that shadow isn't overtly apathetic or rough to, and considering their interactions are few and far between I count that as pretty consistent.

like I'm thinking abt their interactions mainly from sonic adventure 2 and their limited dialogue from sonic riders, and at most they have playful digs to each other in riders but really it's so friend coded and I just love it, and adventures 2 makes me wanna cry bc it just seems like amy just sees Shadow for who is he or what he's trying to be right off the bat (fuck u sonic x for taking that moment from me ill never forgive uuuuuuu) and now we have this murder of sonic the hedgehog that yes I DO consider Canon thanks for asking lol and again with the subtext, that not only has shadow come to her bday party and tho yeah he didn't bring a gift at first he knew she liked hot honey (aka they clearly converse casually to get info like that, or at the least he's interested in her enough to keep that sort of information on his mind) and got her tickets and after expressing how he didn't care for them AGREED TO GO WITH HER!! Listen, at base level they're besties Idgaf, but I'm on a higher level than most ppl so Ik theyre in love and I'm v happy for them uwu

anyway give them a tv show adventure or comic or whatever idc I just wanna see more of them

yeah i heard they got entirely new showrunners and writers for s2 of i didn't do it so it got? weird? but idk, i'd still like to watch it! esp bc i really liked piper curda in the other stuff i've seen her in !! i will absolutely let you know when i finally get around to watching it!

also that's crazy i swear i was one of two people on the internet who had watched backstage. i think part of the reason i got so invested was i was watching it all in 2017 when i wasn't dancing bc my dance studio shut down and my parents were like "well, you're going away to school next year so why should we find you somewhere new?" and i haven't rewatched it since then.

i really like villains! peter and i have been watching it together so we're a bit behind on s2 but i'm having a good time so far — i'm hoping that they stop turning colby into stuff bc like. it's annoying. but ik filming schedules and stuff etc etc. i think it stands on its own pretty well but i also haven't seen wizards in a long time. and like, granted, i do think it's pretty similar to wizards, but also it's disney channel and we all know they have ten plots. i think also hartley and amy's relationship is like, more gay than i remember harper and alex's being (i'd compare them more to stevie and alex? i think?) but. idk i'm having fun, which is my personal standard for "is [x media] good". and if i'm having fun it's good and if i'm not having fun it's bad. (ik this is not the end all be all of media etc etc etc i'm simplifying)

i think my fave episodes so far are the ones towards the beginning/end of the season that get really plot heavy? the filler episodes are fun too i just like stakes and drama lol

Heya queen! Ik there was a prompt about this, but I was wondering what YOU thought about the actual Amy Rose (not cavegirl) in Sonic Prime? U think she’s more mature, like IDW? Or similar? What do u think of moments between her and Sonic?

I thought it was a wonderful foil to Amy Rose, showcasing her inner-heart to the Audience and showing how there's sometimes a 'disconnect' between her and others, but it's because of how deeply she cares.

Sonic recognizes this at the end, even showing appreciation for that part of her that overly emphasizes a tender heart, which is sometimes a stark contrast to others, but he also is a hero with a 'Heart of Gold' and has learned to be 'tender' through her influence.

She has taught him to 'stop and smell the roses' while also to, 'to be free and fly, be detached from the earth like the wind, but don't forget the flowers that dwell upon it... looking up and admire you as you soar above.' And for that, Sonic has never forgotten his friends.
