When I rewatched all the episodes last year, I deciced that frycook was my favorite episode... but I'm starting to think that game slave 2 is. I think about it ALL the time. I'd say not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about gaz stalking and terrorizing iggins - that may be exaggerating - but only a little.

Also Iggins is so fucking terrible and I love him so much. There is no iggins content and I have to make it myself :'D I kind of wanted this drawing to be prettier but I ran out of gas tonight and got impatient. I hope you like it anyway :)

I do think I should say that my favorite characters in iz are and have always been the Tallest.

Started as Red. Became Purple. But always neck and neck. Like they're on this teeter totter with it almost completely balanced, but not quite.

And though I may have a tendency to beat Dib with a frying pan and paint him in a bad light, I don't dislike any of the characters. (expect maybe iggins, if I didn't like Dib I'd cut him from what I'm writing all together) I've got plans for him. Both good and horrible.

Ms. Bitters and Gaz are my favorite humans.

Non-speaking characters my fav is Zee.

One offs is Squid cop (he's best henchman fight me) and Lice Lady (don't remember her name).

And minor characters Skoodge, I guess. Like I focus on him alotalot Idk why. (His fic was supposed to be the fluff to contrast the utter angst of Running Away, but a good amount of angst is getting in there too.) I might have just entwined him so much into Zim and Purple's pasts he's impossible to escape from. But he was also in my oc story (don't know if I'll ever post that) as like a huge supporting beam of the crew, before I dragged him into the other stuff.

777 too. I'm doing the same shit with him.

Tenn gets dragged into a far lesser extent. But she does get dragged in. Usually to absolutely chaos.

Hey everyone, this is an important announcement about me and this blog. For a while now I’ve been keeping something very important to me under wraps because I did not want to deal with the backlash.

But today I have decided to come out with my confession. I don’t actually care about Gretchen as much as I say I do. The same goes for Keef, Dib, Skoodge, Zim, Tak, Tenn, Gaz... even Gir. In fact, I don’t give a flip about any of them. I don’t care about most of Invader Zim. I honestly find the humor to be lacking, the aesthetic to be ugly, and the whole vibe of the series to be lame :/

Now that’s off my chest, I want to tell you about the thing that I actually do care about in the series. The one character who carries everything on his shoulders. Truly the only real and genuine and relatable character in the whole series. I’m done pretending to ignore him. He is the only one that matters.

From now on, this blog is going to just focus on this perfection of humankind. I will only post Iggins. He is the only thing that matters and I don’t care what anyone says.

A GIRL GAMER???????

I'm not even close to kidding anymore; I think drawing iz stuff is helping me draw more loosely and avoid getting burned out. I had so much fun drawing Gaz!! It was wild "designing" a character after the challenge that was zim. Features wise, she takes after dib/dad, so I was basically just playing dress up with her. And you know what? She can have a little outfit variation, as a treat. (The big skull earrings are clashing and creating all sorts of tangents with her face framing hair thingies, but OH WELL!!!)

Okay, here’s a Thought I had just recently…

So, Iggins. Everyone hates Iggins. He’s designed to be one of the most instantly hateable characters ever featured on a show that’s already famously misanthropic. And this is done by just… making him just an intensely concentrated version of every Obnoxious Gamer Stereotype (and way before they were widespread in mainstream media. ‘Invader Zim’ truly WAS ahead of its time). Simple enough, right?

But there’s actually another dimension to the whole thing.

Because what is it exactly about Iggins that Gaz finds so annoying and loathsome?

Well, it is the fact that he starts long rambling ‘conversations’ despite her obvious lack of interest which are just him talking at her

Is incredibly self-aggrandizing and self-centered

He LITERALLY went 'and then everyone clapped!', this show was a head of it's time, I tell you!

And his delusion of grandeur is his justification for overriding Gaz's desires and taking what is rightfully hers.

And, like.... leaving outside the literal taking of the physical Game Slave.... these are also the primary reasons why she gets angry at Dib.

Iggins is just a more annoying Gamer Dib. He has all of Dib’s negative traits and especially the ones that tend to affect Gaz; the inattentiveness, the self-centeredness, the self-aggrandizing, the assumption that his needs' triumph everybody else. But with Iggins they farther exaggerated, and instead of the Paranormal, Iggins is obsessed with Gaz’s Special Interest.

That kinda makes him the perfect antagonist for Gaz. And also maybe demonstrate that Gaz’s problems with her brother, unlike the Rest of the World, don’t always stem from just him having Weird Interests. If Dib had more normative interests (or at least as normative as Gaz's) but he was still just as much of a self-centered blowhard at her as he usually is - she would still be just as pissed-off at him as usual.

Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice): Hmmm. Well I kinda wish the Nefarious fandom took off at all, it was a really cute game. There was one person making animatics and god they were good. Actually and IZ crossover with Nefarious would be rad. I think overall there could be... hmm. I’d say more Zib content but like. That’s just me. I crave more roach. I think more stuff with the Zimvoid and alternate Dibs would be fun too!

Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything): Ok first of all I love neurodivergent everyone in IZ. And gay. No one in this bitch is “normal”/straight. Except maybe Iggins. Compapa is best dad obviously, and the one and only hc I will die on Zib is a b- *gets shot*.

Hmmm, admire?? That’s actually kind of a tough one. I think I admire Gaz a lot, actually. Having a generally absentee Dad and a brother that doesn’t really connect with you on a personal level has got to be rough. And I know between the two of them she’s more of the bully and shoves people away, but I can’t help but think there’s a lot of underlying emotional stress behind that that she’s just really good at hiding? I don’t know, I’ve always respected her~ I also have a huge soft spot for Skoodge and his ability to come back from a serious beating, that sweet boy deserves so much~!

My least favorite characters are mostly minor characters, like Iggins, Dwicky, and those sorts of people. Mostly just because they kind of irritate me.
