i dont ship anyone in invader zim. i dont believe in zadr. but if you forced me to ship someone in that show i'd go with dib x torque smackey tbh

this is probably my favourite page in all of the IZ comics

- the running gag of the president being called presidentman

- the spelling of fitness as phitness

- zim loudly declaring his plan while waving an alien-looking gun

- dib just as loudly declaring he will stop zim, not even bothering to point out "would a normal skoolchild want to disintegrate presidentman's head? and where did he get that gun from anyway?"

- torque sitting in zim's desk and declaring, just as loudly, that he will take the phitness test

- zim and dib being almost totally unfazed by the above

You can't tell me that Dib and Torque would not be good parents- They'd be the best at taking care of a baby and a green alien!! Zim would also be a great uncle- a bit chaotic but overall good to the baby! This is Baby Lynn by the way!! Dib and Torque love her with their whole hearts! I like to think that Dib is the paranoid and overprotective parent, but overall is very fun and comforting! He tells her many stories about all kinds of Cryptids and sings her.the Ghostbusters theme as a lullaby. Meanwhile, Torque is the much more calm and sweet father, always around to give advice or to calm his baby down. He's definitely a stay at home dad,.moving his work to his study room so he can take care of his baby while Zim and Dib do their job as paranormal hunters!! Dib is a lot more calmed tho- Especially since he plans on coming home to his husband and little girl every night. Zim is of course, the cool uncle who always wants quality time with the baby, even if he forgets to ask and ends up making the parents panic. He lives in their attic- one day just came over and decided he would never leave. They've learned to live with it- Funny enough, despite his love for Lynn he still is rather jealous of her and their family bond. He does not wish to be left out!!

Zim: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken.

Torque: If it matters, probably not, but Zita was the last one to use it.

Torque: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?

The best thing to me about Dorque is that Torque is the quiet calm one while Dib just has an internal burning ball of rage ready to be released at any time and I just have the mental image of little goth boyfriend trying to pick a fight while big soft jock boyfriend drags him away. I love it

Tell me about the hypnotic pimple episode

*singing* Riiiise of theeee Ziiiitboy!

First off - this episode is the only IZ-related thing to name a TvTropes trope! The trope's rather predictably about when someone gets a pimple and everyone treats it as something horrible. It's just called "Rise of Zitboy", though, which gave me problems with remembering the actual episode title for a while.

Secondly, I just have to bring up the bacon in the soap :D

- Zim had to take off a wrapper. GIR went to a LOT of trouble to get that bacon in there

- remember how gir almost always has a pig (live or rubber) with him? what if...

- Richard Horvitz has said that this is his favorite interaction, iirc :D I can see why

- He's also put actual bacon in an actual soap bar at one of the invadercons and showed it to Rikki Simons (who was horrified)!

Acne Blast Man is hilarious (and gets a callback in Tak's ep, it's playing in the background during a scene) :D

Gaz just totally ignoring Zim is excellent, and when Zim just gives up on her? even better!

Zim also turned "bad horror movie idea" into "actually kinda scary" really fucking fast. "Release him, Smackey. He is part of the collective now." like what the fuck??

"Oh, you'll open [your eyes]. You have to breathe sometime." There are a few possible explanations for this!

- Irkens breathe through their eyes - er, excuse me, ocular implants. Personally I hc their PAK breathes for them, but this is a neat hc nonetheless!

- Zim thinks humans breathe through their eyes (and their nose is just for smelling? maybe irkens' antennae are for hearing and smelling, but they breathe through their PAK?). Seems likely, given zim's previous lack of knowledge on humans

- Neither of the above; Zim was just trying to be confusing (and working).

Also, during the climax, when Zim and Dib are just...like...hyperfocused on each other,,,,, I feel like that's how they are almost 100% of the time and we just can't see it

This also happens in the pilot! (They're actually in a crowded lunchroom there)

Also also, Zim really just..took Dib's feedback and forgot about it, huh? I'm pretty sure he didn't plant attack gnomes underground, and Dib suggests tunneling under Zim's base in The Girl Who Cried Gnome, so it's still gotta be a viable option by then.
