This is an episode about Jennifer doing a story about prostitutes. So of course it opens on a soulful sax and a lady wearing red shoes that don't match her dress at all. This is not an episode about fashion.

She...charges $20. And she takes him to apartment??

Oh no, he has a badge. He's a po-po but he has a secret. He's also a SERIAL KILLER.

"Oh don't tell me you're looking for a freebie." and then he chokes her and rolls her dead ass out the door. Whomp whomp.

The Harts are bickering about where to hang some priceless piece of art. But also, they're goddamn adorable.

Anyway, Sandy is calling. Sandy is Markie Post. Sandy wants to talk to Jennifer because ... well. Dead lady.

Sometimes I wonder what makes them decide which car to take on any given today. It's the station wagon to go see Sandy - why not the Bentley? Why not Jennifer's benz? Max usually drives the station wagon.

Sandy wants the Harts to look into the death of her friend. The cops don't care about dead hookers.

"Now Mr Hart, the last thing I need is some hooker telling me how to run my department." Sandy wasn't wrong.

"Remember, the woman was a hooker not a nun." OK BASTARD.

Oh no, the vice cop Jonathan is talking to is the killuh!

Jennifer meets a group of working girls in a diner to get some info about the chick who was murdered. So of course a pimp shows up to try to...I don't even know. Woo her?

And he's every bit a cliche. amazing, 10 stars, I love it.

"Hey, a new girl in town. She's terrific." He asks Jennifer if she wants to have some action with Jackson. Jenn is all *blush* while the other girls chase him off.

Sandy is getting ready and she decides to put on a red wig. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

Cop guy shows up at Sandy's house and she's got the red wig and he's about to not be OK.

It's the next day and I think Jennifer is wearing the same outfit.

This lady has a really nice apartment however this room. She is suspect. I love the color blue but...

I might be just guessing here, but I'm p sure someone is getting lucky tonight.

Anyway, when an investigation runs into difficulty, send Max in as a pimp to get more info.

This working girl does not want a pimp.

But she's red-headed and she's out on these streets by herself and guess who else is sitting in the parking lot?

AND NOW HE HAS A KNIFE.

her car won't start.

The killer cop is coming to kill her but Max interrupts and gives her a ride home. Whew, she lives to see another night.

Smartly, Max is driving a non-Hart vehicle.

This will keep killer cop from finding him hopefully.

Max was out until 3:30 in the morning and he has a hangover. And he looks it.

Max got some information for them, so now they're off to a billiard place to find a pimp.

"We could make it worth your while." Jennifer is out here flashing cash all over the place.

If you guessed that Jonathan is about to fleece a pimp in pool, you win a prize! He clears the table with one shot.

Jonathan used to hustle pool. Jennifer was the college billiards champ.

Cop Man is still on the trail of the working girl from the night before.

Anyway, the Harts got the address they were looking for and they find an old man in a wheelchair. He sort of looked after the girls and he got beat up last month.

They went the extra mile to make his room look seedy. ew.

There's a picture in his apartment of a pretty woman (with RED HAIR) who was his first hooker and she died a few weeks ago.

So the Harts go see the Lieutenant and want him to follow their lead and put an undercover out on the street in a red wig as bait. But they tell Killer Cop this information which ruins the whole thing before it begins.

So the sting fails, ofc.

Button up your shirt, bro. This is a family show.

Jonathan promised to leave the lieutenant alone if the sting fails but he did not say he would stop looking into it. So he finds evidence of the red wig so...

He goes and annoys the lieutenant.

Now our girl is off telling the red-headed working girl to stay out of sight so she's in seedy-ville talking to the working girls and GUESS who sees her?

you know where this is going, right?

Jonathan goes into Killer Cop's office to talk to him but he's not there so he starts to snoop. Finds him a bottle of cologne that his sniffer recognizes from Sandy's apartment. And in another drawer? The picture that wheelchair pimp had in his apartment. It's his... BOMP BOMP ... mom.

Back at the diner, Killer Cop is fixated on Jennifer's hair which is not very red but apparently it's red enough.

Jonathan realizes Killer Cop is in the same area Jennifer is in.

So close, in fact, dude is stalking her in a parking garage with a gun.

He shoots twice. And misses twice. And jennifer is like "jesus" and hides.

she runs around the parking garage trying to get people to stop and they just try to run her down. jeez LA. be chill.

Jonathan to save the day!

"I think he thought I was one of the girls." Are you ok? "I guess Im going to have to change my walk. "Don't you dare."

bday anon back with more shenanigans headcanons bc sof’s ferris wheel post and delete gave me buzz!! 🧁

ok so i could totally imagine that the whole gang are released for thanksgiving break and this time miss jenn decides not to give them an assignment like last year but instead encourages them to get out and have some fun (because best believe she will be working them hard when they return from break lol) and there’s this local Autumn Fest so the gang decide to meet up on its opening night to hang. and like imagine they’re still kinda secret dating so they end up wearing coordinating outfits but play it off to the gang as a wacky coincidence. by this point they seem super sus but everyone keeps quiet when they act up, instead sharing comical looks (ahem WDYKAL callback) and there’s montages of them all playing fair games together like cornucopia hole (hehe see what I did there) and that stupid strength game trying to get the turkey to hit the top bell and whack a pilgrim 😭 . and imagine there’s a bobbing for apples game in which the gang loudly cheers on our favorite himbo Ricky and he frickin wins and he’s excited so we get a callback to the 306 celebratory hug ahhh!!! and ofc Ricky and Gina hug a little too long for “friends” and another hilarious 👀 ensues. the evening continues with them all doing various rounds of photobooth photos and Gina sneakily presses her cheek to Ricky’s for the last group pic and does a peace sign while he cheeses because they could play it off as this silly goofy pose. and we get to see the gang walking together (the girls ahead of the boys) laughing and enjoying fall themed fair food which includes Seb holding up a humongous turkey leg that Ricky hilariously jokes about being dinosaur meat and bless his heart seb would believe him 🥺 and Carlos is like ‘oh honey no its not actu—nevermind eat up’ /fond sigh/) and they all laugh and they’re all munching on different stuff like kettle corn and candy apples and Gina is like ‘I’m gonna get a cotton candy, anyone want anything?’ like the generous queen she is and Ricky offers to come with and they share this look and head off while the gang hangs off to the side by some fame booths having fun and while no one is paying attention, they lock pinkies as they head up to the candy counter. ‘1 cotton candy pls’ Ricky will say and pay for it because he’s a gentleman and loves how Gina’s face lights up when the carney hands it to her. And she holds the fluffy orange confection next to Ricky’s face and laughs ‘it looks like your hair’ and rips a piece off and Ricky makes sure the gang is still preoccupied before stealing a soft kiss from her, making them both blush and is like ‘We should prob head back now huh?’ and they have to act they weren’t just being the cutest couple for 5 mins. more fun group stuff happens like bumper cars and the water-balloon shooter thing’ which Kourt is surprisingly amazing at and collects like four giant plushies and Gina wins her own little bear, thinking to herself that now Franklin has a little girlfriend too 😭. The night sky settles in and the wind picks up so they agree to call it a night and give each other hugs and wishes to have a nice Thanksgiving and ‘text me! see you next Monday!’ all around. Ricky and Gina and Seb and Carlos hang back and they wait until the rest of the group is out of earshot and off to their separate ways before Carlos is like ‘okay you two, spill it. You’re totally dating aren’t you? My straight-dar is never wrong. Besides you know what” as a S3 callback to them mistakenly thinking Jet and Maddox liked each other lmaoo. And so Ricky and Gina sheepishly nod and then Seblos start squealing in joy for their friends like ‘oh Thank God! I had a reputation to uphold whew!’ And so Gina tells Seb a rundown off what happened over the summer while Carlos pulls his bestie Ricky to the side and is like ‘Bro I’m really happy for you two. I knew you would end up together eventually’ and it’s just really sweet to imagine all the support they would get from their friends :) . They all agree to have one final ride and then head home and ofc their eyes light up at the sight over the towering Ferris wheel(1/?)

first off, i want to say that THERE WILL BE SPOILERS so please be careful, thank u.

yayy, I STAYED AWAKEEEEE:) let's do this, i'm sobbing.

- ok, so this was probably my favorite recap. i loved the flashback of the whole season, so adorable.

- redlyn was so cute, and it was really sweet that big red made the sign for ash on her big night. i'm really happy that kowie are back on good terms. loved kourtney's mom in the background.

- the whole storyline with mr. mazarra and the caltech program was so interesting, and it was nice of ej to most likely persuade his father to call them. the ending when mr. mazarra said that the only thing keeping him in salt lake is ms. jenn was *chefs kiss*

- speaking of ms. jenn, i liked that she apologized to ricky after the whole jump off something high thing.

- portwell: no because the scene when ej cancelled their date and said that they should go to slices instead was HEARTBREAKING. then he had to clarify that he didn't want to reschedule and her face fell, i wasn't okay. gina sobbing at the makeup table was gut-wrenching. i actually kept looking at the amount of time until the end of the episode to make sure there was enough to not leave them open-ended. AND THEY DIDN'T. literally to end the episode, ashlyn told her about the whole big brother thing and how if she knew that was how she felt, she would have given gina different advice. obviously gina was confused, ran to ej as he was leaving, and asked him to be her first kiss. i was hoping they would bring that back, so yep, i'm happy :)

- second chances was ofc AMAZING. the whole video and song were super sad but like i love the throwback and the harmonies were so good. i hope we hear more of matt and sofia's voices.

- i loved rini and their little card scene backstage. i really hope that they stay friends, but i was absolutely positive that they would get back together by the finale as always.

- the whole thing with ricky and lily, i would totally be here for it if not for the fact that she's most likely using him and never told him about the harness.

- i'm so happy that gina helped nini with her music and contacted jamie. their scene by the makeup table was so heartfelt, and i'm glad that they got the closure they deserved in the finale.

- the whole ending, with the phone calls and the portwell "kiss", yes it was cheesy, but i loved it in every way possible and i'm so happy that everything fell into place. it left so much room open for a season 3, with nini calling jamie and ricky calling lily.

- at the very end though, natalie and antoine basically confirmed a season 3 with the whole buckle up, wildcats. this summer's about to get hot so maybe there will actually be a summer season.

- the bloopers at the ending - i sobbed. matt was so sweet with you are the music in me and i just love the whole cast.

I read an article where Jen Lee said that the Sami people are Elsa’s future. What the hell does that mean? So Anna, Elsa’s True love and family is no longer Elsa’s future. How about Olaf, her son, he is no longer Elsa’s future either I suppose? If A & E aren’t each other’s future what is the point of the entire Frozen franchise? This is so messed up I’m so many levels.

I had a few of my elsanna friends telling me to not answer to this, because “you know it’s a troll”, but I want to answer because it’s important that we complain about what we didn’t like.

It’s the only way we have to (maybe, maybe not because I’m delusional) change things. And we have to try.

So...I’ll do it, and I thank you for the opportunity because nothing in set in stone right now, and this may work good for us and bad for the trolls in the end. ;)

First of all I went to check what Jenn said (because I remember she said something similar) and here it is:

“What I loved is she meets a group of people and this is the future, the people she'll spend time with and she'll figure out where she's going”

from an obscure platform I’ll not link, who did nothing but mix quotes and sentences from other interviews, cut and sew back together.

Where does this leave us?

1) We don’t even know if Jenn will be the one to write whatever comes next for Frozen. I think Disney will ask her to do the job, because they proved how much they don’t care about the story (unless it comes to killing their star!) and how much they care about money.

And Jenn did good, with a fucked up ending but with good numbers.

But this can work greatly for us too. How?

I’ve just said it.

Disney only cares about numbers/money. And what could actively destroy the Frozen franchising? A female love interest for their star.They’ll lose money. TONS of money all over the world. Not pointing fingers torwards any country because we all have millions of homophobic people living among us.

So...Disney wants money. They may give the job to the one who provided that, and Jenn will not be able to do nothing remotely gay because the “one million moms” will set puppets of Elsa on fire if that happens!

You could say “but elsanna.....look at the subtext!” Oh friend, elsanna are sisters. They can give us WAY MORE than they’ll ever give to a lesbian or gay couple in a cartoon. Because normal people don’t think it’s weird.  That’s the good thing about my ship:

Elsa and Anna are the story, Elsa and Anna are true love.

The story will always be about them in the end, and since they’re coded as romantic they can get away with constant hand holding, hugs, sweet words, etc....

Can you imagine Elsa (or Kristoff) doing the same with another character and the homophobic parents of the world laughing it off?

LOL

2) They started from a “Elsa is dead” pov. And they had to change it last spring. So whatever they did after that wasn’t set in stone for the previous years....why should we consider it now? Elsa wasn’t supposed to live with those people, she was supposed to be frozen. They changed it few months ago. They can change it again.

The only thing I’ve read critics about (real critics, from magazines and journalists!) is the END. It’s clear many had problems with that.

Sure a next movie could try to fix it. But how? Showing us the adventures of Elsa and the strangers in the woods? Explaining what she does now?

Ok but this excludes ANNA.

And you know kids like the 2 of them (but Elsa more), and they like their adventures together!Disney doesn’t even know how to market them separately!

So whatever happens in the next chapter....I doubt it will end up separating Elsa and Anna even more. They already got scared of the reaction and added a “letter” moment at the end. I know they said it was there since the beginning but.....HOW if Elsa was supposed to be dead until April???? ;)

So this “Elsa and the strangers” plot does exclude Anna. And even if Elsa is their money maker.....

Frozen is a franchise about 2 SISTERS.

Let’s not dump one of them.

3) Let’s also address the things in the storyline that don’t make sense, because the end was rushed and went against everything Frozen was.

Elsa finds her true call, being the 5th spirit, fine.

Anna is left with no choice but being Queen, fine.

But Elsa doesn’t have to live in a glacier alone or in the forest since with can travel really fast with Nokk

And what Elsa does in the forest? She could save people from a flood once, save a stranger from another natural disaster another time, saving a family of squirrels, unfreezing a lake so the strangers can fish in the winter too....how....riveting.

and all of this without Anna.

Bit me but I don’t think we’ll see much of this. Could be....2 minutes of intro of Frozen 3? A story on a Frozen mag in case they decide to do a solo-Elsa adventure?

Elsa always wanted to be with Anna, and suddently she dumps her, her friends, she leaves her home, to follow a voice.

And it wasn’t even what they had in mind, (dead Elsa, remember?) of course it doesn’t make any sense! ofc it’s rushed!!! ofc...everything the critics said applies to this!

Forbes’ critic said: “The end should be maddening and hearthbreaking and it’s treated like a minor inconvenience!”

4) Now, let me focus on the sentence Jenn says “What I loved is she meets a group of people and this is the future, the people she'll spend time with and she'll figure out where she's going”

and this is exactly what I hated.

You can’t retcon a character, her motivations, her spirit, write one chapter of her adventure (which includes previous movies and books) and say (after you planned another ending until 4 months before!!!!) “ok this is where she is now, let’s see where she goes from there” “let’s see what she’s ready for now!”

(And if you do it I’ll just reject this and whatever comes after this.)

WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE.

- Let’s still talk about where you led her doesn’t make any sense! (And I’m not talking about Elsa re-finding herself or being the 5th spirit. This is fine. I’m talking about Elsa leaving Anna, friends, home for a glacier or a forest). WHILE SHE COULD HAVE BOTH.

- Let’s talk about how kids want to see Elsa and Anna TOGETHER, not Elsa and the strangers.

- Let’s talk about how the gay story few want (NOT ME! I WANT HER SINGLE and asexual as the movie hinted!) will be crushed by the mouse, so whatever she’ll do in the forest....it will NOT be a girl.

- Let’s talk about the critics they received and if it’s possible for them to ignore them or not.

- The Elsa we knew wasn’t ready to leave her sister after just 3 years together, and yet they retcon it. So excuse me if now I don’t buy the “she lives in the forest, let’s see where she goes from there now!” BULLSHIT!!!!

They write this story starting from the END. From a PLOT point of view, not from a CHARACTERS point of view so let’s not fucking pretend they’re listening to the characters NOW!!!!!

And there’s a lot to discuss before “she starts from being in the forest with these people and goes from there”.

Even because they also said the glacier is her home (Chris said they saw a glacier and thought it would be a beautiful home for Elsa, AND Elsa actually moved the Snorgies and Marshmellow there), so it’s still a confused topic of discussion.

But even if we have to start from a “she’s in the forest, she’ll spend time with those people nobody gives a fuck about”, nothing tell us she’ll still be there at the end of Frozen 3.

Could you imagine she would be there at all, now, after Frozen, Frozen Fever and OFA? No.

Honestly, I’m still focused on “bullshit, she was supposed to be dead and now her future is with strangers? you changed it before, changed it again!” point, and I can’t take seriously whatever she says now.

hi! sending some of the musical theater q's: 2, 7, 15 (but really changing the q from 'who would you cast in what' to 'what would you cast kristin in') 30 (kristin ofc) 31, 32, 42. i know this was days ago, but since i was on your blog i might as well send you some bc i really love your blog!!

2. what musical got you really into theatre?

i’ve always loved theatre, having grown up completely obsessed with the sound of music—julie andrews is, and forever will be, my most number one lady of all time—and rodgers and hammerstein’s cinderella (the 1997 tv version) having been a constant in my childhood, but the musical that got me into broadway specifically was the bridges of madison county. i watched the bootleg, bawled my eyes out, downloaded the cast album, spiralled over the show and kelli, and then ended up watching like, smash in 2015 (justice for julia houston) and a whole lot of side by side by susan blackwell videos. and then i went on and revisited my old faves, and discovered a whole lot of new ones!

7. favourite cast recording.

it will always be bridges, but i also love falsettos, come from away, she loves me, the wild party, far from heaven, and the light in the piazza.

5. if you could revive any musical, which one would it be and who would you cast in it?

ok, taking the question originally, it’s bridges but literally everything is still the same; falsettos, but it’s the 2016 revival cast; and she loves me, with still the 2015 cast as well. fun home needs to come back to broadway, with maybe jenn colella as alison and stephanie j. block and lea salonga as helen bechdel. for what i would cast kristin in, i know i should have a ready answer for this, but honestly when she played velma on hairspray live so many of my casting and musical theatre dreams came true. so, maybe revive hairspray, and make kristin play velma again.

glinda upland. my type in fictional characters literally just goes from sad moms to blondes with stone cold facades but soft insides.

I don’t understand these ppl on Twitter who are going against the #bringelsahome tag saying that E felt so trapped, but now she is happy. Where does it show that? They are mad at us cause we want to revert canon, and send Elsa back home, while THEY are the first ones to IGNORE CANON.

Jenn said Elsa was happy in Arendelle, she never felt trapped and she was a GREAT Queen.

If they want to ignore canon, well they can’t really point the finger at us.

OFC she looked happy in the end, the end they wanted, where Elsa was dead, apparently wasn’t appropriate for kids. But just cause she looks happy, doesn’t mean she is HAPPIER.

That’s not mentioned, it’s not canon, it was openly stated otherwise.

As I said many times the “spirit” thing is the equivalent of a change of career, nothing more. Doesn’t mean she felt trapped in her previous life, that’s simply stupid. They even SAID IT for the love of God!

1] Honestly what annoys me about the ending is that its like the writers realized Elsa and Anna are "too close" and decided to kill it. That they needed to remove Elsa to make Kristanna happen and be more important. To make romantic love be more important.

I see your point, but I disagree. Please follow my thought and see if I make any sense. ;)

The movie, for how I see it, will still be heavily focused on Elsa and Anna. It’s still about their love story (in a platonic sense of the term), and this isn’t gonna change.

Let’s start saying they admitted they picked the END first, and went back to write the movie. What does this tell us? That they wrote a movie PLOT-DRIVEN, not character-driven as they want us to believe.

When Jenn said “I wrote a diary for 3 years pretending to be Elsa and Anna”, why do you think she did it? And How?

The movie would have been character-driven if she wrote a diary without having the end in mind. The CHARACTERS would have told her where they wanted to go, and Elsa and Anna would not be separated in the end.

But they started by the end, with a plot they wanted to do, and they wrote the diaries because they had NO IDEA of how to go there.

“I have to turn Elsa into a goddess and Anna into a Queen, how can I go there?Well for starters Elsa may hate her role in Arendelle? The only way to push Elsa out of the castle is to pretend she thinks like her place isin’t there?

But omg, OFA said that is her place, that her place is where Anna is.....ok let’s just say OFA isn’t canon, ok? Easier!”

This, anon is what happens when your writing is plot-driven.

The characters are out of character, and their decisions seem forced.

But they still had to make a story about Elsa and Anna, because that’s what the audience wants to see. Not the forced hetero couple.

The hetero plot is marginal, not important, and will not be relevant at all. Trust me.

Why I think that?

Because they thought: How can we make Anna grow up from the girl who slept all morning and had 2 boyfriends in 1 day to a woman who can rule a kingdom on her own?Let’s show her she can make it on her own, when she believes Elsa is dead, and accept a marriage proposal, because that’s what grown ups do! (let’s also ignore the trauma, cause....not convenient to the plot! A woman who goes through what Anna does in this movie, will be attached by the hips to Elsa for the rest of her life, trust me!)

They didn’t do it to “give Arendelle an heir”, or cause “kristanna it’s popular” (it’s not, merchandise sales proved it). But because they USED this relationship to prove Anna is a grown up!!!

This is why I do not agree when you said “they did it for the heteros”. They don’t care. They did it to prove Anna is a grown up now. Because she takes decisions of her own such as destroying the dam.And this is why the proposal happens before she is reunited with Elsa, because her decision of marrying has to be “on her shoulders”, independent.

(of course we can always argue she did it cause she felt alone in the world, and I stick to it, but this is probably not Disney’s intention)

They didn’t make kristanna important by removing elsanna as you say. Kristanna is always marginal to the plot, used to a purpose: promote Anna’s journey.While elsanna is still the core of the movie.

Why I think so?

Because they need to convince the audience that the Elsa and Anna we saw in Frozen are now ready to separate! And damn that takes a LOT OF WORK and screentime!

So I’m telling you, the whole movie will look like a giant love letter from Anna to Elsa and viceversa, until the epilogue.What I expect is something like “I love you, but we are adults now, and my love for you is in my heart so I can take you with me everywhere” “ok bye”.

It’s crap. It’s plot-driven and not character-driven.

There will be moments during the movie while we’ll say “omg i love this so much my babies are perfect together!” and then we’ll face the end. “Anna loves Elsa so much that she let her go!” “Elsa is so happy there in the white void that is that land that ofc I understand why she left Arendelle!”

This is their goal.

This is why they promote the movie with Elsa and Anna, this is why they have a “stronger together” tagline (meaning they save Arendelle together), and all the others promo are elsanna-focused. It’s still their story, and they need to make us believe, erasing 2 movies and lots of other things, that they’re ready to part.

Just because she had a lot of input doesn't mean they had to go with whatever she said. there are so many people involve in this, if anyone from the writers to the producers and whoever else at the top didn't like it or want it, it wouldn't have been included.

Exactly because it’s a team work, the decisions come from a team. A team made of writers and actor. So it’s Jenn, Chris, and 1 actor for every character. 3 of them.

Graphics & everybody else involved don’t make decisions in terms of story. It’s the 3 of them.

ofc they didn’t have to follow her advices, but they called her to ask her what she would like to see for Anna, do you think they would call her and then say “ok you suck, bye?”
