At some convenience stores, he told me, the slushies are heavier and wetter by design. “They have determined their drink profile,” he said ominously, like a dark ice warlock.

One would expect Steve and Eddie’s first fight to be something serious. Maybe a dig about Steve’s parents or more high school hierarchy bullshit. The entire Party had best going on who was going to start the fight (half said Eddie) and what it would be about.
Dustin and Will thought that Steve would say something about Hellfire or DnD that would hurt Eddie’s feelings. They both expected Steve to grovel and maybe come to a session to make up for it.
Lucas and Max thought Steve would check out some cute girl and piss Eddie off. He couldn’t let go of his player ways so easily, right?
Mike thought that Eddie would do something. He didn’t quite know what he was expecting, maybe for him to bring up the high school hierarchy or call the dumbass King Steve again. He didn’t really care, to be honest.
El thought that they would have a mutual misunderstanding. She refused to elaborate when pressured and simply declared herself too mature for such nonsense.
With that being said, Joyce and Hopper thought Eddie would do something that hurt Steve. He was a drug dealer with a spotty criminal record, he was bound to mess up sometime.
Alas, they were all wrong. Instead, their first fight was over something completely stupid.
Steve said he didn’t like Ozzy Osbourne.
Normally, that wouldn’t be a big deal, everyone had a right to their opinions. However, this was after all the kids had been badgering Eddie and the Corroded Coffin boys were putting doubts about his relationship in his head. So, he snapped.
If Steve didn’t like Ozzy, didn’t like who Eddie compared him to in the Upside Down, why would he like Eddie?
Of course the kids were no help, they brought nothing but ‘I told you so’s and sarcasm. Uncle Wayne was a comfort but not the one that Eddie wanted.
It took a bit but with some hurt feelings, some proper communication, and a blue icee, things were fixed between him and Steve.
