it's been an age since i've been into naruto, and now that i have plans on making my own version on how naruto shippuden ended, i was wondering, how do you think naruto shippuden should've ended? like are you pro or anti naruhina? pro or anti sasusaku? whats your opinions on how the fourth war was played out? if you already spoke about this i'm sorry lol but im just wondering.
OMG HIIIIIIII @ofrolysdogs you're one of my OGs! How have you been????? Please please tag me or let me know once you create your rework. that sounds so intriguing!
This post is gonna be controversial, beauties.
How do you think Naruto Shippuden should've ended?
Ideally, with Naruto realizing that he doesn't need to become hokage to get the attention and validation from the people he loves and cares about. Or at the very least, with Naruto becoming hokage but abolishing the shinobi system. Maybe even make Danzo hokage along the way, just when Tsunade falls into her coma, and slowly make Naruto question the system more and more. Also, Sasuke's whole "redemption" arc should have been handled differently. First and foremost, he was a victim. He did a few things that were wrong, and I agree that there need to be consequences, but for this redemption arc I'd rather have him travel around and teach people around the world about the customs and culture of the Uchiha.
Are you pro or anti naruhina? pro or anti sasusaku?
I am both Anti NaruHina and Anti SasuSaku, but for two different reasons. I used to be a hardcore SNS shipper, but not so much nowadays. NaruHina had so much potential, they could have explored their class and privilege differences together, learning from each other and stuff. But Neji dying for their ship to sail? That was a hate crime. The reason I'm Anti SasuSaku is because I simply don't really like the thought of shipping Sasuke with anyone. He has enough to go through and putting him in a romantic relationship is not something that would make it more interesting or add stakes to it, although I wouldn't mind seeing him adopt a kid or two, given how family oriented Sasuke is.
Whats your opinions on how the fourth war was played out? I found the use of Edo tensei very interesting, albeit a little cheapened here and there. The Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto fight was a little disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing he two of them fight together side by side, and Itachi's final parting was very touching - but them fighting Kabuto of all people? Maybe if Kishi fleshed out Kabuto's story a little more, he clearly had no idea what to do with him. Poor bastard.
Madara just 'knowing' the hand signs of edo tensei is actually not so unlikely, but it still irks me how he was able to just "come back" when Edo Tensei was released.
And let's not talk about the power scaling, which went completely through the roof in the end. Oof. Kaguya, as is, ruined the storyline completely. It could have worked, but not in the way it was executed in shippuden.
But alas, I suppose there is only so much Kishi can do within the confines of a genre.

Would tori ever become a mentor? Your wave snippets make me want to see what would happen if sakura started picking stuff up from tori
i can't really think of a canon character i'd stick with her for a long term mentorship, but tori likes explaining what she does so i think a short term "so you want to learn a technique" thing or just general life advice are on the table. with sakura i'm toying with the idea of sakura developing a "what would tori do?" mentality because like. tori is NOT any sort of powerhouse but she's inventive and resourceful and therefore successful anyway, which makes her someone sakura looks at and is like: yeah, i could be that. i don't want this to be fuinjutsu!sakura but maybe she picks up some life philosophies or something
unfortunately i think at 12 sakura DOES want to be a cool kunoichi and good shinobi but her definition of what makes someone a successful kunoichi has some uh. weird requirements
sakura: sooooo how did you meet sasuke's brother :) oh, your genin team.......? and how did you start. you know...... :)

had some thoughts about Naruto characters and the question, "would you love me if I was a worm?", coming to you live from my roommate's text thread
Tumblr media
Sasuke: would you love me if I was a worm
Sakura: you ARE a worm, deadbeat. come pick up your kid from school
Sasuke:
Sakura:
Sasuke: do you. love me. then?
Sakura: yes. please go get sarada.
Tumblr media
Sai: I do not understand this. Why have you not asked me this yet?
Ino: asked you what?
Sai: if I would love you if you were a worm. Do you not want me to love you if you were a worm?
Ino: what-- no? I mean, yes! I mean--
Sai, calculating: so.... you want me to love you as a worm?
Ino: uh yeah ig?
Sai: I would not.
Ino: oh...
Sai: worms are not beautiful. or smart. they are only worms.
Ino: 🥺🥺
Tumblr media
Temari: You would love me if I was a worm. I'd be the best worm ever, and you'd be a sucker just like you are now.
Shikamaru: Yes I would. You're already the best worm and you're not even a worm.
Temari: Good. Just making sure we're on the same page.
Shikamaru, visibly shaking: yep.
Tumblr media
Iruka: this is a dumb question.
Kakashi: I love dumb questions. You look hot asking them.
Iruka: ..... would....would you love me if I was a worm?
Kakashi, without hesitation: of course. you'd still be you, and besides--- I've never had sex with a worm before
Iruka: Kakashi no.
Kakashi: seriously, I think it could work.
Iruka: Kakashi--
Kakashi, eyes glazed over: I'm pretty sure there's got to be a worm jutsu that would allow us to experiment....
Tumblr media
Neji, trying and failing to be nonchalant: Hey Tenten?
Tenten, looking up from her training: Yeah?
Neji: I would love you if you were a worm.
Tenten: ?????
Neji: You know. Just in case you were wondering.
Neji *blushing*: I would.
Tenten, not understanding, but pleased nonetheless: Thanks babe ❤️
Tumblr media
(bonus)
Sakura: Hey Naruto, earlier Sasuke asked me if I'd love him if he were a worm.
Naruto: but he IS a worm.
Sakura: That's what I said!! But... It got me thinking.
Naruto: that you would love me if I was a worm too?
Sakura: no! I mean, yes I would-- but, I was thinking more if I was a worm. Like. Would you still love me?
Naruto: uh, sure!
Sakura:..... That doesn't sound very confident.
Naruto: listen, I just --
Sakura: no I get it, you just don't love me
Naruto: THATS NOT WHAT I SAID
Sakura: no it's okay, you've always liked Sasuke more--
Naruto: SAKURA-CHAN, NOOOOOOOOO
BONUS bonus
Later:
Sasuke gets home. Naruto is in his room, sobbing. He's holding a tiny worm.
Sasuke: what the fuck are you doing?
Naruto, tears streaming down his face: ITS SAKURA-CHAN
Sasuke: what did she do????????? Is she okay?
Naruto: NO, SHES A WORM
Sasuke: WHAT
Naruto, becoming increasingly more hysterical: TODAY SHE ASKED ME IF I WOULD LOVE HER IF SHE WERE A WORM AND I CHOKED AND DIDNT ANSWER FAST ENOUGH SO NOW SHE THINKS I DONT LOVE HER SO SHE TURNED HERSELF INTO A WORM AND SHE WONT TURN BACK NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TELL HER I LOVE HER WHAT IF SHES STUCK THIS IS ALL MY FAULT--
Sasuke, visibly panicking: okay. Let's not panic. She's a sannin-level shinobi. She just wants us to feel bad. She'll change back when she's ready.
Naruto: BUT WHAT IF SHES STUCK
Sakura, who has been outside the window the whole time and watched Naruto find the worm in the kitchen: I love those morons so much-

Who are you? I love you | {UzuRen}
Tumblr media
Theme: Fluff
Note: The wheel originally chose death angst but I re-rolled it bc the last UzuRen I wrotewas death angst so.. here's some fluff (this is if Kyojuro lived, and Tengen was never a Hashira (this is an AU please don't kill me I'm just doing what the wheel said-))
Tengen wasn't a Hashira bc he stayed as the Shinobi (ninja thingy i forget) for longer and when he became a demon slayer, he'd not gotten a chance to come across a 12 kizuki/didn't have enough time to kill 50(?) demons (I'm aware that Tengen is rlly strong and shit so he would've risen in ranks faster if he had more time :>)
Kyojuro was there, when Muzan was defeated. He was there and he was alive. He looked around at all the people around him. He smiled in a sort of sad way because they'd lost so many people.
He moved through the crowds, finding himself admist a group of demon slayers. He smiled at them nodding as they asked if he was okay—he had wounds that definitely needed tending to, but they weren't the worst acquired by everyone else and he wanted other people to be helped first. The group of demon slayers seemed in awe of him, knowing he was a Hashira.
Eventually they had to go to help the other people around since they hadn't been injured as much, but one of them stayed, curious of Kyojuro.
"What's your name?" the demon slayer asked. He was taller than Kyojuro with a bandage over his eye—presumably where he'd acquired a wound.
"Rengoku Kyojuro," the Hashira informed him, the smile still playing on his face. "And you? Don't you want to go off with your friends?"
"Eh," the demon slayer said, shrugging. "I'll go to them in a minute. I'm Uzui Tengen. Former Shinobi. I honestly wish I'd had more time to become a Hashira, you know?"
"You look like you might," Kyojuro pointed out. "When did you get into the demon slayer corps?"
"Not long ago," Tengen said, sighing. "Well, at least now my wives won't worry about me. They've worried ever since I've become a demon slayer—as if being a ninja was any better," he said with a short laugh.
"Yeah. Wait—wives? Ninja?" Kyojuro asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, why?"
"How old are you?!" Kyojuro said, then quickly apologized.
Tengen grinned. "I'm only 23, why?"
"You.. You said wives. Plural." Kyojuro crossed his arms, confused.
"Tradition," Tengen waved off. "Doesn't matter."
"..Okay. Well, I'm 20," Kyojuro said, changing the subject.
"Nice, when did you become Hashira? Or, uh, demon slayer?"
"Don't know, age become a blur when your focus is on making sure no one dies because you made a mistake," he said. He said it in a light tone, but it really wasn't anything 'light.'
"True."
They stared at each other for a beat, then someone called out Tengen's name and he turned. A woman was waving him over and he shouted back her name—at least that's what Kyojuro assumed—and told her he'd be there in a minute.
"Right, got to go," Tengen said, sighing.
"Mhm! See you around," Kyojuro smiled.
He watched Tengen run up to the woman and hug her, before they went off to find someone, it seemed. Kyojuro kept his eyes on the man for a moment, then turned away to help the others with bringing people to safety.
"God, why does he have to be married," Kyojuro muttered, pushing his hair back. He weaved through the rubble and found an injured demon slayer. He picked her up and carried her to the place where the wounded lay.
Giyuu walked up beside him, looking defeated.
"Oh, hello, Tomioka," Kyojuro said brightly.
"Hi."
"Are you okay? Did you get any more injured than you were before Kamado?" he asked, concerned.
"No."
"You lost an arm? I'm sorry.." Kyojuro said, noticing the bandage wrapped around the end of what was left of Giyuu's arm.
"It's okay. Are you alright? The other Hashira are.. not. Shinazugawa is unconscious but the Kakushi are tending to him. They say if he was a regular person he would've died, but because he's a Hashira he will have a chance to survive," Giyuu informed him, his expression remaining in it's usual impassive state, though a tone of tiredness clouded it.
"Ah.."
Both Hashira looked out in the crowd of people, bustling about. It almost could've looked normal if there was not a great amount of fallen demon slayers and blood and broken down buildings.
Kyojuro turned back to Giyuu, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, I met this demon slayer! His name is Uzui."
"Uzui? Sounds familiar," Giyuu murmured, his eyes still scanning the people around him.
"Oh?"
"This woman was crying because she couldn't find her husband, I think. Said her name was, uh," Giyuu paused, thinking. "Uzui something. Started with an 's'? Sumi? Suma? Something like that."
"Oh, well, Uzui said he had several wives. And he's only 23," Kyojuro remarked.
"Really? Who has the time to marry?" Giyuu asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Dunno."
The lapsed back into silence and continued watching around, helping the occasional Kakushi who walked past them. Then Kyojuro pointed off to a person who was surrounded by a group of people, all of them talking.
"The one in the midde? White hair? That's Uzui," he said to Giyuu.
"Ah. Are the women his wives?"
"I don't know, he never said who they were. Or how many."
"You sound disappointed," the Water Hashira said, turning to Kyojuro.
"Disappointed?"
"Yes."
"Oh. I'm not," Kyojuro said, a nervous laugh tracing his words.
"No?"
"No, no, I'm not."
"Suit yourself." Giyuu paused. "If you like him, best tell his wives first." Then he left, walking towards the direction the Kamado siblings sat.
If you like him, best tell his wives first.
Kyojuro sighed and leaned against a particularily large piece of concrete. He supposed he shouldn't fall for someone he just met. What was the point?
And of course, the person just had to be married. To several people. Just great.
~~~
Tengen grinned as his wives explained how Suma had dropped her plate and had caused the whole restaurant to erupt in chaos somehow.
By now, it was the demon slayer corps all healing from the losses and celebrating Muzan's defeat. About a month had gone by and Tengen and his wives had gotten into helping everyone with the excuses and the rebuilding and the burying and healing.
And though it had been so long, Tengen's mind constantly wandered back to the Hashira. The Flame Hashira with hair like fire whose smile seemed to brighten everyone. He'd seen Kyojuro around when he'd been helping and they talked every now and then.
But not enough to sooth Tengen's terrible want.
Which he hated himself for. He didn't want to want. He had three wives for fuck's sake! He turned where he stood and Hinatsuru, startled, stumbled back.
"Oh shit, sorry," he mumbled. "I'm going to go buy some food, alright?"
His wives nodded, confused. "Okay, bye!" Suma said cheerfully, glad for the change of subject.
"Bye," he agreed, smiling and grabbing his bag.
~~~
Kyojuro walked silently down the street, tired. He'd had a long day today, pushing himself to the limits to help as much around as he could. He probably shouldn't have done that much but he needed to take his mind off of Tengen.
And it didn't work. Unfortunately.
He turned the corner, his eyes on the ground. Then he realized he was about to bump into someone and looked up just in time before he nearly crashed right into Tengen who was holding a bag and apparently rushing somewhere.
"Uzui?" Kyojuro asked, startled. "Sorry, are you going somewhere?"
"Well, I said I would be so I probably should. You?"
"Nope. Mostly on my way home, but I don't think I'm needed there at the moment so I was just walking. You know?"
"Ah, right." Tengen nodded, smoothing his hair. "Uhh, want to go to the store with me?"
Yes, yes he did. He should say no, but.. "Sure, why not?"
Kyojuro smiled and Tengen smiled back.
"Great!"
~~~
Tengen couldn't believe his luck. Which, at the moment, he was unsure if that was meant negatively or positively. He loved being with Kyojuro for one thing, but he needed something to stop him from being so focused on the Hashira. He shouldn't be falling in love with someone when he already had wives..
He took his time as he walked side by side Kyojuro. They talked a bit as they headed to the store, finding themselves at peace.
"Have anything to do this weekend?" Tengen asked, changing the subject.
"No, why?"
"Want to come over to my house? I need something to do. Too much time to think and thinking is boring," Tengen said, shrugging.
"Oh, yeah, sure. Which day? When?" Kyojuro asked.
Tengen shook his head. "What day do you want? I'm free both, from what I know."
"Alright! What about, uh, saturday? Sunday, if I manage it, I'm planning to convince Senjuro and my father to go somewhere with me. Is that okay?" Kyojuro suggested.
"Yes! I mean, uh, yep. So in two days. Cool. Where should I pick you up at?"
"What about the park? The one a block away from here?" Kyojuro suggested.
"Alright."
Tengen smiled, happy with this.
Kyojuro smiled back, not knowing what was going through Tengen's mind right now.
~~~
He seemed take longer to get ready this time, as Kyojuro fixed his hair. It was saturday and he was going to see Tengen. He honestly couldn't wait, couldn't help day dreaming about what it might be like to spend the day with Tengen and not just mindless conversations while they worked.
He left the house with a smile and made his way to the park happily. Tengen was there waiting for him and he took him to his house.
Tengen introduced Suma, Hinatsuru, and Makio to Kyojuro more properly and Kyojuro found that they were really sweet women. They didn't seem to mind at all when Tengen had hugged him. They had snacks ready for Kyojuro who took it gratefully—finding that it was Tengen's wives who had made it. It had been "UMAI!" as he'd declared.
As time passed on and they were having fun, Kyojuro went to the bathroom. When he came back, he paused in front of the door, hearing Tengen and his wives speaking in hushed tones.
"Tengen, we don't mind that you like him too! He's really nice," Hinatsuru assured the man.
"Really?" Tengen asked, sounding surprised.
"Of course!" Suma decided. "He also said our cooking was delicious. He's so sweettt!!"
Tengen laughed softly. "Yes, he's amazing!"
Kyojuro smiled to himself.
Makio paused. "Just don't forget about us and you can date him," she ordered, putting her hands on her hips.
"Deal," Tengen said, smiling. Then he flinched and his wives surrounded him, worried. "No, no, I'm fine. Just.. Kyojuro?"
Makio nodded. "Yes, that's who we've been talking about, right..?"
"Yeah. I meant, uh, Kyojuro. I think he just heard what we said," Tengen murmured.
Kyojuro jolted, surprised. He opened the door sheepishly, looking guilty. "Yes, I did.. Sorry.."

okay naruto mutuals/followers i need your help
I'm writing the next scene in my (very self-indulgent, may some day be posted) naruto oc fic and i need to know whose perspective to write from next 👀
my two ocs are making a Dramatic Entrance™️ to the battlefield during the third great shinobi war (before kannabi bridge, so obito is alive if that affects your choices) and i need someone to see it. Extra context for each option under the cut
feel free to click one even if you aren't a naruto fan and you're choosing from vibe alone. Also feel free to reblog it, it would honestly be funny to get a ton of votes for a fic no one knows anything about
*please see under the cut for explanation/further info
Orochimaru: mentor and future enemy of one of the OCs. future mentor of the other OC
Jiraiya: currently knows the bare minimum about either of the OCs and would spend most of the fight going "who are these small children and why are they like this". will be going on an adventure with one of the OCs in the future, so there could be callbacks to this scene there. could make it fun
Team Minato: pre-kannabi bridge, so this includes Obito. Would probably be written specifically from kakashi's perspective, possibly from Obito’s. One OC has been friends with kakashi since infancy
Team Choza: would be specifically guy's perspective. Guy has been friends with one of the OCs since birth, and taught her taijutsu
Kages: there's already been a scene from onoki (stone's tsuchikage) and hiruzen (leaf's hokage) so that would leave mist (i don't know anything about who the current mizukage is so it isn't likely I'll choose them), cloud (I'd have to check the timeline but this should be before the raikage we see in the 4th war becomes raikage), or sand (gaara's dad)
Main OC's siblings: "main" OC has a sibling in each of the hidden villages and one in the land of iron. The land of iron sibling has no reason to be on the battlefield so he's off the table. There's a good potential for angst if we choose one of the siblings because the OC is going to decimate their forces. We'd get a scene later of that OC being confronted by a sibling who lost friends and comrades to the OC's violence here
Danzo: already at odds with the "main" OC and completely neutral to the other OC. He and main OC will be trying to kill each other later in the storyline.

Splitting up Team 7....Let's get into it
Disclaimer❗️: I'm not trying to dog on anyone who makes alternate team headcanons for fun. I have my own thoughts ofc, but as long as you're truly not hurting anyone, it's not that deep. I'm sharing my thoughts on this since I've seen this take a few times over the years, but do with it what you will!
As always, you're free to share your thoughts! Just be sure to keep it respectful :)
Tbh, it baffles me when ppl say that Sakura (bc that's usually who's removed from the team in these takes) or anyone else on Team 7 would've had better development if they were assigned to a different team. I think people fail to consider that Team 7’s close, consistent proximity and becoming teammates was one of the key reasons why they were able to get past their initial impressions of each other and form a deep bond.
This is only one example, but as far as we know, no other team went on any dangerous missions like Team 7 did to the Land of Waves. Granted, that was an outlier since that mission was supposed to be a C rank; however, it was vital to their individual growth. It shaped their perceptions of each other as teammates and of the shinobi world as a whole. If Sakura, Sasuke, and/or Naruto were placed on a different team (assuming little-to-nothing else was changed in the series), I'd deem it unlikely that they would've grown to be the shinobi they became, although not as quickly.
If you want, you can view this through the lense of recent media, particularly the YA genre. There are many reasons why they tend to be set in middle/high school (though I think that's starting to change and expand, thank goodness), one of them being the outcomes of forced, consistent proximity.
The characters are placed in an environment where they're (more often than not) forced to interact; it's not like college or other settings where you can simply leave if you don't want to be there, especially without it being fair to others in your group. While it’s ultimately up to them to choose whether or not they want to become more than acquaintances with their classmate(s), their relationship has a higher chance of forming due to being consistently around each other.
The same applies to Team 7 and honestly, the other Rookie 9 teams. They were all placed on their teams- a learning and training environment with forced, consistent proximity- for a reason. Ino-Shika-Cho being placed together since they're THEE Ino-Shika-Cho trio (if any sensei had messed that iconic trio up....bless their hearts fr), and Team 8 all being trackers.
For Team 7, it was also so they could all learn and benefit from each other in some way. Naruto could benefit from Sasuke’s proficiency in ninjutsu, Sakura's intelligence, and both of their calmer personalities(give or take with Sakura) seeing as he got the lowest marks at the academy and misbehaved a lot. Sasuke could benefit from Naruto and Sakura's social and outgoing personalities seeing as he got low scores in cooperation and teamwork.
While Sakura performed well in her academics, she slacked greatly in anything pertaining to using physical strength. She could benefit from Sasuke and Naruto's taijutsu and battle skills seeing as she got low marks in taijutsu.
I think it's also worth noting that Sakura is a balance of their personalities while having her own. While she's not always on 10 like Naruto was, she was able to be social and upbeat and like him. She wasn't emotionally cold or nonchalant like Sasuke, but she was able to match his calmer "think first, act later" demeanor. Ofc, they've all had their moments and didn't act the same way all the time. I love that Team 7 can share one brain cell at times, lol.
As I said in the preface, I'm not trying to down anyone making alternate team headcanons for fun. That being said, it's just odd to me that people claim that placing them on different teams would suddenly "fix" their characters. Becoming a team was an integral part of their characterization, with each of them serving a unique purpose in one another’s growth. (This includes Sai too, though that may be a convo for another day.)
Like the title says, this was a starting "Let's get into it" post. I have more specific thoughts on this take, but these are my initial thoughts for now :).

two months too late (love witnessed by the stars)
sasusaku blank period week 2024 | day one: rooftop confessions ⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚
Tumblr media
Sakura always admired the stars. They were the sole reason on why she loved the night, as mysterious as the sky was.
A obsidian canvas decorated with twinkling lights, the moon glowing calmly down at her. She looked at them and felt so small in comparison, as if she was nothing but a speck of dust. In a way, all of them were.
Her jade green eyes continued inspecting them, connecting the dots and drawing constellations. Just then, a gentle breeze passed through her village, and she breathed deeply the cool night air that felt pleasantly chilly upon her warm skin.
It has been three years since the Fourth Great Shinobi War, and she found herself becoming more restless as time passed by. So after a long day of preparations and negotiations, being alone — watching the stars and the city lights — always managed to calm her down.
And thankfully, laying down on her home's rooftop with the pickup playing her favourite vinyls in the background, and drinking her father's borrowed (stolen) beer straight out of the barrel, wa1s the highlight of her life at the moment.
The air shifted around her suddenly, and in a matter of seconds. Her once relaxed shoulders tensed up, and her half-lidded gaze sharpened with the knowledge of who perched at the railings right besides her.
“Nice of you to visit, stranger,” The bite came out of her tongue rather automatically, but she wasn't allowimg herself to feel nothing more than a tinge of resentment.
(Her heart melted at the sight of his dark eye and his dark soft-looking hair. Her heart, that traitor.)
“Sakura.”
That was it. One utterance of her name, in the most gentle tone she had ever heard from him. She resented herself a little more for recognising the look in his eyes, the way they softened when he looked at her.
“Sasuke,” She parroted, mocking — feeling petty.
She looked away from him, not being able to watch him for much longer. Her heart beat erratically against her ribcage, and she settled down her cup before she could accidentally shutter it.
“...I'm sorry,” He muttered after a pause.
Sakura hummed nonchalantly, inspecting her well-trimmed nails in interest. “So you say.”
His chakra brushed against her own, lighting against earth, scorching hot against cool. It engulfed her slowly, intimately —
— too intimately.
She snapped her head back to him, eyebrows furrowed in irritation. “Don't do that!” She scowled, glaring.
Sasuke stepped down from the railing, but it was done so effortlessly, and he looked so good doing it — it pissed Sakura off.
“I'd do it again if it makes you look at me, you didn't even chanced a glance,” his lips tilted up in amusement. “Very unlike you.”
Sakura's eyes widened, mouth falling open at the pure audacity that made her cheeks flush red from embarrassment. “I- What did you say?!”
Sasuke tilted his head slightly, very much like a cat, and regarded her with mirth. “I said, I'd do it again if it makes you- foohk ath—”
Sakura covered his mouth before he repeated it for second time. “Got it! Now stop,” she grumbled, before yelping as he licked her palm.
Suddenly, his hand wrapped around her wrist and warmth enveloped her body. He kissed her inner wrist with soft, if not somewhat dry lips, and proceeded to control her hand upwards to cup his cheek.
“I'm sorry I'm late-”
“-two months! It's been two months!-”
“-I have no excuses.”
As if she couldn't be more mortified, her eyes teared up.  “Is this how it's always going to be? You, leaving me hanging every time? I could have moved on!”
“I don't want you to move on.” He almost snapped.
Her eyebrows shot up in disbelief. “Are you kidding me you selfish-!”
She pursed her lips together and screamed at the back of her throat, pure frustration leaking out of her. She looked away and snatched her hand from him, chest rising up and down as her vision slowly started seeing red.
Sasuke's jaw clenched. “Look at me.”
“Go fuck youself.”
“Sakura,” His soft tone was gone, showing his own irritation. “I'm not going to say it again.”
The rosette clenched her hands into fists, hating how she turned into a puddle.
Sakura glanced at him, watching him with both caution and hurt, to which she tried to bury.
Sasuke softened. “Can I take you to dinner, now?”
“Hm,” she huffed, tilting her chin up. “You're two months too late.”
He smiled gently, eyes closing. “Well, I'm glad it wasn't four.”
Sakura's eyebrow twitched. “Oh? We turned more talkative now, haven't we? Left behind the depression and pursued a career at comedy?”
Sasuke wisely nodded. “Indeed, it has done wonders to my esteem.”
At that, Sakura barked out a rough laugh. She cleared her throat and crossed her arms over her chest, hugging herself.
“I'll need some answers before you take me out, Mr. Uchiha.”
Sasuke paused, fingers twitching as if he wanted to touch her. Instead, he settled for tugging a stray rosey strand behind her ear.
“What are your questions?”
She hummed. “One: where have you been?”
“S-Rank mission, at the Land of Water,” He admitted, despite the fact that he just broke the Code of Shinobi Secrecy. “I had some things to investigate for Kakashi.”
She scrutinized him closely with narrowed eyes, before she nodded. “Two: why the lack of correspondence?”
At this, Sasuke gulped silently and glanced away from her, finding a great interest at her shoes all of the sudden.
“...I'm paranoid,” He said truthfully. “I would never send anything back, not when there's a chance I'm being under surveillance by the enemy forces.”
Sakura softened, yet still held her ground.
“Three,” She croaked out, voice slightly trembling. “Do you like me?”
At this, Sasuke chuckled. “What? Of course not.”
Her heart plummeted, fearing for the worst, thinking that this dinner for him was something he does with platonically-
And suddenly, she felt him poke her forehead right in the middle — just where her seal, her pride and joy, is.
“I love you,” He confessed, causing Sakura's eyes to glisten with unshed tears. “And I will continue doing so, for the rest of my life. Even if you don't want me to.”
Sakura took a deep breath and released it, choking on a cry — or a laugh?
“I will not say it back.”
Sasuke smirked down at her, but rather than taking her into his arms, he kissed her forehead — so tenderly and full with adoration — and tangled his fingers through her hair.
“You don't have to — you've said it so many times before, even the stars have become our witnesses.”

I’m so excited for the new Boruto!! 🥰 I’m also super anxious that I think imma make myself sick. 🆘 Saw the new Hima design, not sure how I feel abt it. 🤔 NH are stuck looking like they haven’t aged when the rest are continuously aging (although it’s only been 3 years). 🤧 so many feelings. 😮‍💨
What are your thoughts? What direction do you want this to go and where do you think is this headed?
Hiiiii! I opted to wait to answer this until the official release of the chapter is out
Just in case anyone wants to read it, you can read it here:
⚠️Spoilers ahead⚠️
In all honesty, I'm not sure anymore what to expect in the story. Hahaha
I had some theories before but they all kinda went poof especially after the switch happened. I'd probably just wait for Kishimoto/Ikemoto to finish cooking and I'll eat up whatever they'd serve lol
Current thoughts on the TS designs (Especially the outfits):
I think they look good but I also think some of their designs may be a bit impractical/may hinder their movement as shinobi. They do look fashionable though.
For NaruHina: Yeah... They've (unwillingly) become the first users of an anti-aging method c/o Kawaki 😅
Tumblr media
Just a few other things I'd like to point out:
3 years had passed since Boruto and Sasuke fled from the village, but Code mentioned he had been chasing Boruto for 2 years. So I'm guessing within the first year he had an encounter with Boruto, and either Boruto or Sasuke inflicted that scar on Code's left eye
Tumblr media
Let me also bring up this entrance by Boruto:
Tumblr media
Such disrespect my dude 🤣🤣🤣
Other stuff:
Tumblr media
So it seems in this part, Hima was recalling the Naruto vs. Delta fight. And even if (let's say the switch didn't happen) it was Kawaki who 'killed' their parents, Hima would still not believe he would do such a thing because she still has that faith in her brothers. I'm so touched by this 😭❤️
This part:
Tumblr media
Sure the omnipotence had altered everyone's memories (and it seemed to even gradually wipe other doubts caused by it), but I'm quite curious how it will be when it comes to written records/pictures? Perhaps if people look at documents such as Boruto's birth certificate or photos including him, I'd guess that there'd be some sort of illusion that the affected people would be made to believe that they see Kawaki's name and his image even if the physical documents are still pointing to Boruto's identity? 🤔
We'll just have to wait and see in the coming chapters.
Thanks for sending this ask @asriah !!! 😁

Hey tamelee! :) first of all, I LOVE your blog. Your art is amazing and so are your Naruto analysis. Thank you for sharing all of this with us! :)
Now on to my question. I've just read your answer to the ask regarding the ending of Naruto, where you talked about the slow pacing and bad writing of the anime and so on.
What do you think how the manga (or Naruto in general) could have ended if there hadn't been a need to introduce Kaguya and everything that comes with her? Or maybe, what would you have wished for? I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this :)
Hi @shileyn-nea ! 💕
Thankyou so much for your kind words and encouragement!! 🥰 It makes doing what I love even better 🧡! Oh yes, the Anime is something else.. Now, I personally don't know how much truth there is to this but even my friend from Japan acknowledged it and said the fandom talked about it on a forum so take it how you will- After 'Naruto' the story ended Kishimoto wanted one last movie that showed Naruto becoming Hokage and it would've been around the age Minato became Hokage. In our case, that would've been instead of 'the Last; Hinata's Genjutsu Fest'. Again, I don't know if Kishimoto really said this, but it would make perfect sense as... it was Naruto's biggest dream (on the surface, but still) which was never fully realized. But we did get a cold bucket thrown over our heads in some random last chapter and in the end his dream was crushed still because it was visualized as something Naruto never got to celebrate nor was he shown to be excited about becoming Hokage regardless. And lemme tell you.. that says a whole lot of somethings 👀.. It is just terrible overall. But imagine.. 699 Chapters and then having a movie based on a new Chapter 700 where Naruto is a bit older and we get to see him genuinely become Hokage and something changed within the Shinobi system. It doesn't have to be something major, we only need a hint as it will be a lifelong journey anyway. Sasuke is there of course, because nothing keeps him from staying away now, there is actual meaning to their characters, they cooperate freely as we see him finding some answer to his question (or multiple) he still had. (During Vote2.) It is some sort of middle ground between Naruto wanting all the villages working together and Sasuke's revolution, but they do it together. They aren't alone and don't display these insane visuals of their loneliness BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL LONELY TODAY in their current situations. But working together like that? That is a vision they share. And we get an entire movie about it!! I don't think Naruto was ready at all to be Hokage at the end of the story, unlike Gaara who was very young as well but now he was.. what? 30+? Why...? And what did he do in the meantime instead of counting headbands? We never got to see :/ I'm so bitter about it. I don't mind Kaguya's will being a part of the war, but Madara being nerfed like that was lame. We already had the plot twist during Obito, we didn't need it again with Madara... I wish to see all 'Naruto' sequels, fillers and novels gone and forgotten, for Kishimoto to say 'Naruto' is still ongoing, say that Chapter 700 was fake so that he can make a new one and then we get a proper movie. I know he liked the 'Boruto' movie and considered it his own personal project, it was alright, but sacrifices are needed. And then! We could've also had a blank period Gaiden Manga from the man himself. But alas...

Hello!! I'm really interested in your story. May I ask what are the character's roles? Do Naruto and Sakura work? I hope in your story Sakura is still the Head of Medicine of Konoha. I'd love it if she's still director of her clinic, director of Konoha Hospital, Head of the Medical Department, teacher and head doctor. I hope you guys give Sakura what she deserves that she also has now but that the manga actually refuses to make canon for now.
I hope Naruto isn't a miserable Hokage either. Also do Temari and Karui have a job too? I hope Hanabi is the head of her clan and Ino is a florist. That's all I ask when I read. I love my successful Sakura.
Hi there! I'm assuming you read the manga version of Kaika Saisei.
Given everything is still in its early stages Naruto and Sakura don't yet work other than being shinobis, but I will have Naruto become Hokage of course & Sakura will have more than the director of her own clinic & Konoha hospital and all that.
What I have in mind in nature is similar to that, just tad bit taken to a bigger level.
But no worries though, Sakura will get her rightful spot. After all this is a story that centers on her development more than the medical aspect even.
For Karui and Temari I don't have much yet developed as for now I have focused on the development of Sakura, Hyugas & Konoha 11. But given the universe at large that I'm preparing and its adjacent plots, Karui & Temari will surely find their spots. :)
So all I can say is keep tight and follow Kaika. I'm sure you'll love what's in store. :D
Thank you for your interest in Kaika!

fuck you (doodles your fic) @messier-47
below the line are thoughts, critiques, and some musings :)!!! TL;DR. Love this fic very good, definitely recommend
Think I'm going to just get critiques out first before I gush and muse a bit.
Preface: I've only given the first 33 chps a single reading and it was binged intermittently in chunks of 10-15 chps.
Pacing is the hugest problem I can see with this fic atm, but that is only if you binge it all at once. While there are spots to breathe they are still moments you need to pay attention too to get the full meaning and understand later plot points to the fullest. This fic is probably one of the best examples of a serial publication that I've seen in a long while, the tension will build and fall without ever superseding the other and there's a decent amount of variety in the type of tension. Good breaks between high action vs political intrigue vs the rare what I can only call mission thriller.
I do wish there were some quiet moments, something that didn't necessarily matter. Maybe a moment between Tobirama and Touka, or Tobirama and Takeuchi. I appreciate and love Takeuchi, but I kind of wish I did get to see her just as a Great Aunt that's not used as a warning or information source for Tobirama. These are just examples I can think of. Why I'm wanting this is aside from a breath, everything feels like I need to pay attention because of how it will tie into chapters later.
Point and case The Mooncake. Definitely a character depth detail, but it is a point 3 times as far as I remember with its starting point in The Freed arc. A flavor detail that helps you understand Tobirama, but also buried under two different arcs absolutely filled to the brim with action and political intrigue happening all around us.
Past that, the only other complaints I have are personal opinion and probably is about stuff very few others care about too much.
On to gushes and muses. Good lord the worldbuilding has been some of my favorites I've seen so far in the works I've read. It's probably one of the very few pieces that are Tobirama-centric that is more focused on the world and the impact these Founders have upon it through both politics and violence.
I really honest to god cannot wait to see how the Slavers/Blood-thief's plot will tie with the most recent reveal in that specific plot. I'm curious to see how it will impact Konoha and if the formation of Konoha will be the breaking point specifically for the Daimyo especially in seeing his Noble Shinobi clans and lesser clans basically becoming a union??? What will the Daimyo do, what CAN the Daimyo do against the Shinobi. If all the Shinobi of Hi no Kuni come together? The Daimyo still has Orochi which I am wink wink guessing is related to the clan Orochimaru is from (cant remember the HC clan for him and where its from, I keep thinking the Land of Grass?).
I am also very interested in how Hashirama will develop, he would benefit from being more involved with the Clan and kind of obviously serves very well as a positive relation with the Clan as a Clan Heir rather the one in charge, however, he, as demonstrated multiple times, is a positive idealist. Where Tobirama seemed to thrive as Clan Head. But Hashirama also works well as a Clan Head, just witht eh same issues as being an Heir. I would like to see a bit of a definitive answer coming on as the 8 month timeline continues for Hashirama to do something on his own as Clan Head and doing something good for the Senju to regain their trust.
If Hashirama fails? What then, at the moment Tobirama doesn't really seem to want to be Clan head, but not altogether opposed to the position itself.
I'd almost say I'd like to see Hashirama leave his position as Clan Head (if) when he becomes Hokage. And Tobirama becomes Clan head that way rather than the Senju having a coup of some kind or Hashirama miraculously pulling some great feat to gain the trust of his clan.
Alas,,,, what to do of the Hashirama problem. He's a little freak and I love him dearly but I want to wring his neck all the same.
Excited to see Tobirama and Izuna come head to head and see Madara's thoughts on the interaction. I'm very curious to see if the Uchiha will fit into Tobirama's schemes and whether Tobirama will first open up to Madara or Hashirama about his plots. Especially considering The Daimyo affects the Uchiha more than Senju and that Madara is more likely to see and understand Tobiramas plots than Hashirama. Hashirama has so far reacted negatively to every last reveal or lack of a reveal. It might even be Izuna before Madara that Tobirama speaks too. Izuna is his rival and as currently both heirs they are the msot likely to speak together first before one or the other speaks with their respective clans heads.
Oh head is so full of thoughts and it is spinning!!!!
Can't wait for the next chapter and see how these arcs progress. Sleep well Tobirama and enjoy your corset-training <3

So I have never read or watched Naruto. Mostly because I have good anime taste and only watch things like interspecies reviewers and SAO. But that being said I've always been curious. Is Tsunade the type of dommy mommy to physically, verbally, and emotionally abuse me? I want to know if reading the series just for her is worth it.
i wouldn't say reading it just for her is worth it, just because she takes a backseat for a majority of the arcs once she finally becomes hokage until the fourth shinobi world war arc. i'd say just read her specific chapters & watch some tiktok edits of her for your fix lol.

A deadly fact that I'd love to see come back in the blank period is how both the Uchiha clan and the Uzumaki clan got annihilated, just because people feared their power. Even the Senjus are gone.
I'm specifically thinking of Naruto and Sasuke as political figures here, okay? I'm talking about how the three main clan founders of Konohagakure were all a one member clan at some point of the manga. Sasuke, Naruto and Tsunade. That's all.
It happened, partially consequences of wars and partially due the worst political decisions ever (I'm looking at you, Hiruzen). And we know Tsunade did nothing about it either, which is she had no excuses for but also she didn't know the truth of both the Uchiha and thr Uzumaki cases.
What would Naruto and Sasuke do about it?
We're talking blank period, atonement, Hokage training, they both know the truth about what happened to their clans, Sasuke was willing to erase the entire political structure of the shinobi world for it, Naruto became a sort of global??? continental??? future political shinobi leader. Okay with that, but what would they do about it?
Naruto met Nagato and Sasuke knows that Karin is an Uzumaki, but they just let the rest or the clan suffer around the world because their job is to protect Konoha? How does that even work for a clan that helped found a village for their safety, but then the village just forgot about them? And if Naruto always longed for a family, would he just ignore other people who could be facing the same troubles he faced as a kid? He met his mother, he met Kushina, wouldn't he like to connect with her or learn about her through the Uzumaki traditions or something? Sasuke's journey might not be over but in my opinion, Naruto's journey was not over either. He now has guarantee that he'll one day become Hokage, but what type of Hokage he wants to be? Doesn't he have to figure it out?
Say Sasuke wants to restore his clan by getting married and having kids, right? For all effects, it is as if he's refounding the whole thing. Not matter what, the new clan would never have the same structure and rules, the same tradition, which it's fine but someone has to sit down and write those. Isn't there like laws or rules on how a clan must act in order to be approved as a clan in Konoha? It doesn't have to be controlling, just a sort of guide left by the founders, enough reading material to drown yourself in about how to be a founding father or whatever. How's gonna do that job with Sasuke constantly traveling? How's gonna be the face of the Uchiha clan in the meetings while he's away? It's you think "probably his wife" then it's a possibility, but that in itself is immense change.
That's why I don't buy the "time skip! now they are married and with kids!", 'cause if you omitted the development they must have faced through the blank period, you'd never reach a satisfying version of their adults self. Why so complacent suddenly? Because they story needed an end that would feel like an end?
I like happy endings, but when they make sense.

So, I ran into a rare find of a game a few weeks ago (thanks to good old Bijuu Mike deciding to play it), and let me just say -- for a free game, it's definitely somethin' else.
Tumblr media
It's a fairly short game, but well worth your while if you're looking for something unusual. Don't take my word for it, though -- go check it out for yourself! (There's some light language, sexual innuendo, and a bit of horror in it, just FYI.)
***Outcore Spoilers Ahead!!!***
Much like Doki Doki Literature Club and OneShot (and probably some other mixed reality games I don't know about), Outcore: Desktop Adventure messes with your computer's files in a number of creative ways. It also explores (no pun intended) the idea of a video game character becoming aware of the existence of another world (namely, the real world). And much like Monika, the main character -- the curious and adorable Lumi...
Tumblr media
...finds herself dissatisfied with the world she's lived in for the last 18 years. She even starts to believe that her life is meaningless without any variety or the ability to explore anything new.
Tumblr media
Here's what I found very touching about Lumi's story, though. Unlike Monika, she doesn't despair or become resentful after learning that she and her world aren't real -- instead, she decides to make the most of it...in her own special way. 😉
Tumblr media
Most of the game involves using your computer's files, applications, etc. in some very innovative ways to help Lumi recover the memories she lost upon appearing on your desktop. The intrigue created by piecing together the mysteries of her past is soon accompanied by a more disturbing feeling, however, when you realize...
Tumblr media
...something's a little off. (That's how it was for me, anyway. 😏)
Thankfully, the disturbing part is fairly limited, and definitely worth going through to see how Lumi takes advantage of her situation and changes things for the better, both for herself and for the folks back home. And in doing so, she discovers what it is she wants out of life:
Tumblr media
Kind of an odd thing for a "villain" to say, huh? 😏
And on top of that, she even finds a way to be an explorer within the confines of the digital world -- by becoming a dead web browser an Internet Explorer!
Tumblr media
Good luck out there, Lumi! (Seriously, you'll need it. 🫤)
Oh, and...apparently there's a way to put a clown nose on Lumi. I just now discovered that. ...Interesting. 😄
So, to put it another way, Outcore struck me as a game with a Doki Doki Literature Club-esque story, but with a much less morbid and more satisfying ending to it. 😊 It may not be as long or story-rich as DDLC, but I loved how simple yet entertaining and touching it was from beginning to end. If a sequel ever comes out, you can bet I'll be playing it, whether it's free or not. 😁
Anyway, on to the review...
In terms of creativity:
Tumblr media
In terms of charming and quirky characters:
Tumblr media
In terms of fun, engaging, and atmospheric music:
Tumblr media
In terms of humorous dialogue and clever references:
Tumblr media
In terms of crazy (and often silly) plot twists:
Tumblr media
In terms of decency:
Tumblr media
And finally, in terms of being a touching, thought-provoking, and fun mixed-reality experience (which also happened to be free):
Tumblr media
Quite the inspirational game, Doctor Shinobi. In fact, I'd say it's the sort of game I hope to create myself somewhere down the road.
(Man, I gotta get on that already...)

Hello thank you so much for your answer. I wonder how it would be like if the ending is a genjutsu and they lay down in the war field. Then there is Madara who has no time left and wants to seal the juubi (10 tails) aways and senses uzumaki chakra, which is karins, and then seals it into her. While doing that sasuke sees that, then somehow gets into karins memories and sees her past, (how much similar they were) etc, so she becomes now the juubi. how would that change the story from now on? Since now Karin would be much more important to the story.
Tumblr media
Uhm it's interesting but I'm sure you have this clearer than me so you might tell me how you see it?
I can only imagine Sasuke would keep her as the closest ally for her power, that combined with his own, would make them invincible, and would keep her close as a person, a team mate, a precious friend, as he does care about his closest people very much. I don't think he'd want to sacrifice her or smth so he'd use their superiority in battle to obtain his goal, and I'd like it to not be living isolated forever to keep the shinobi world in peace, but, once made sure they achieved peace and justice, to move on with his life, together with Team Taka.
Without psychological and emotional manipulation from Nar*to and/or Kakashi and Konoha in general, because after all it was because of this that Sasuke was defeated.
