What Was I Made For doesn’t have a resolving cord and I feel like that is because the song ends but the feeling doesn’t end. It doesn’t magically go away. You can’t solve it or fix it just like that. It is something that can always stay with you and something you can always struggle with. And even when you find out how to be happy and you get better and you work on your mental health you still have really hard days and you still have days where you don’t know what you were made for.

Worst of 2023 Music #2: Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice “Barbie World”

Certain properties always have certain ties to music.

The year’s second worst tune unfortunately has ties to one of them.

26 Years Ago, the group known as Aqua ended up having their only major hit with the ode to plastic being fantastic.

So when you have a live action version of the famous doll coming out but the group and director said no to direct inclusion of the song in the movie, you do the next best thing.

Remix city.

Only here with Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, the song ends up being a mere afterthought with a rap laced melody interspersed with the iconic chorus.

For not having the ability to directly have the song this falters on that ideal.

Just glad this was the soundtracks only real misstep.

SUM 22: Life in plastic may be fantastic, but when it comes to the iconic song, Nicki Minaj dilutes it down to a mess made all the worse.

I bought this Barbie horse Champion and I accidentally broke the leg but I repaired it (front right). I also decided to give it new nylon hair. I used 3 packs of 36 inch hair from the doll planet on Etsy. After that I washed the hair and then I tried curling it. The curling iron I used was too big so the waves came out a little straighter than I would have liked 😒 but it came out cute and I added all the accessories.
