Link Click Musical content 120
(it's been a busy time, so let's do a summary)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because of Chinese New Year holidays, the musical is currently on a break 🐲🌟 There were just a few last performances and now they're resting 🙏 However, some extra content came out, so let's go through it (all video links in replies as always :*)!
Tumblr media
LC Musical got media coverage on CCTV (Chinese Central Television - main national tv station in China). It was a short material promoting the play and the theatre, you can actually watch it on Encore Musicals' weibo and bilibili. The stageplay has gained popularity since the premiere and more people are visiting Shanghai to see it. So this news piece is basically a big shout out and a recommendation 🌟
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another video on Encore Musicals bilibili (and 1st pic at the top of my post) is from when the whole musical crew was drawing red envelopes 🧧 (I didn't know this tradition, so I added the wiki for you too^). Basically Zhang Jiahao and Wang Minhui drew the best gifts and were happy about it ^^
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I already posted abt Wang Minhui's vlog with rehearsal scenes, but thanks to @chocolatexiaoshi 💝 explanations and translations from @/Elaraqwq and @/bhd322418 on twt 💙, I can tell you about some fun details about it ^^
Tumblr media
⬆ So yea, here Cai Qi really says: "Coincidentally, I'm single too. If you want, I'll be your first boyfriend."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆ here Cai Qi starts singing CXS's main plot song "Words can't convey the love", then it cuts to Wang Minhui singing the rest (best thing is, we'll get to see that song performed by Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan on Feb 10th livestream).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆ then he talks about the books they have in sunroom shelves. He points out how the books are all about how to become wealthy and sucessful, with titles like: 'It's performance that counts', 'Project Management Practices', 'Conscientiousness trumps competence', 'Corporate Strategy and Risk Management'. Like, the book he's holding in 2nd pic is written by Jack Ma Jun, 4th wealthiest person in China, you get the vibe... It's such a funny touch and shows attention to details by the crew designing the set ❤ I love the idea of our broke indebted boys having a library of economy coaching books ><'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆ (okay... okay, you got this Niebo) Then this part. Wang Minhui is singing a song from another musical (白夜追凶 roughly translated as 'Chasing the murderers day and night') in which they played as twins. Minhui played the older brother who was an experienced policeman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In order to solve the case, Minhui's character tried to rewrite the psychology of the perpetrator, that's what this song is about. Like he was just imagining the interrogation. So Cai Qi is reenacting what Minhui is singing. It is not the actual choreography to that song 💀
Tumblr media
Okay, that's all I had to share about the vlog, thank you Mr Wang Minhui 🧎‍♂️
From minor news, Encore Musicals announced they'll be auditioning for LC Musical cast. It's probably connected to how it's a long-term stage and they'll need more actors. According to choco-xiaoshi, musicals like this can go on for a year or longer, depending on how well the tickets sell. And for now LC stage is selling well 🌟
They also posted the performace schedule for March, with special events marked. And yes, Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan have birthdays on the same day, March 10th and will be performing then 😌
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also Liao Jingyuan and Cai Lu posted these pictures:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To finish this post off, have this Rock, Paper, Scissors sequence between Bai Zhuoming and Wu Yihan. It's not recent, but I like it and wanted to post all the pics together but always reached photo limit before I could ><
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's missing Wu Yihan hours fr
Okie, hope you had fun ^^ remember to make use of a masterlist~

“Y/N!!”
Turning on your heel, you hurried back to the small hallway where Bai was hiding behind a wall, pacing quickly while hyperventilating while Gwen held her bouquet. You glanced at your other friend who shook her head. “I have no idea,” Gwen said, holding her hands and both hers and Bai’s bouquets up.
You walked over, taking Bai’s hands in your hands. “Talk to me,” you whispered, forcing her to stop pacing. “What’s going on?”
Bai let out a long sigh before she launched into explanation. Most of it, from what you could discern, stemmed from her insecurities and the fear of being left at the altar. That was an easy fix.
“There’s a major chance that Jun is going to get cold feet,” Bai said tearfully. You offered her a kind smile. “He’s already at the altar waiting for you, girl,” you replied, giving her hands a gentle squeeze.
Bai looked up, meeting your gaze. “Really?” You nodded in response. “I just saw him before I came back here.” Bai smiled, relief flooding her features. She turned to look at Gwen. “I’m sorry for worrying you,” she said, taking her bouquet from the blonde.
Gwen shook her head, wrapping an arm around Bai's shoulders. “What are friends for if not to stand by you on the best day of your life while you have a panic attack?” Gwen asked, making Bai burst into laughter. You pulled out a small white handkerchief and carefully dabbed at Bai's eyes so as to not ruin her makeup.
“Come on,” you said, handing the handkerchief to your friend.
“You’ve got a man to marry!”
Tao glanced up from his watch as his driver pulled onto the street, the navigation system announcing their arrival time. The buildings around were all old brick buildings with recently remodeled interiors, including the ceremony venue from what he’d been told.
It had been a long time since Tao had seen his cousin. He hadn’t had much time for extended family since becoming CEO of his grandfather’s company. He had weekly dinners with his parents and grandparents but that was the extent of his family visits.
As the car pulled up to venue, Tao checked over his appearance one last time before the door opened and he casually got out.
He glanced around the area as he buttoned his suit jacket before thanking his driver and heading up the steps towards the doors. He was greeted by a man and woman he never met who smiled warmly at him. “Hello,” the woman said as the man, Tao assumed to be her also greeted him with a bow.
Tao bowed back, greeting them both.
“Are you in the groom’s family?” The man asked. Tao nodded in response. “I am. I’m his cousin,” he answered, pulling the invitation from the inside pocket of his jacket and handed it over. He waited patiently as the man looked over the invite before handing it back.
“We are the parents of the bride,” he introduced. “It’s nice to meet you,” he added with a bow. Tao returned the gesture, thanking him and his wife before heading into the venue. The main hallway was carpeted with a pair of large cedar doors that no doubt led into the grand ballroom where the ceremony was to be.
Stepping inside, Tao was surprised by the enormity of it all. It was a beautiful open room with high ceilings and large glass windows along one side letting in lots of natural lighting.
The bride’s parents had spared no expense, the decor made the interior look like a magical forest. A massive spread of garland hung from a structure a good eight feet above the floor. The greenery was littered with pastel flowers in various colors. Pinks, purples, blues, yellows scattered amongst the green looked like a cascade of flowers flowing from above.
Fairy lights adorned every stationary surface.
The backs of the chairs were draped in beautiful light pink gossamer tied into large, extravagant bows and the aisle had a similar light pink carpet rolled out leading up to the altar where a round archway stood, the same green garland with pastel flowers covered every inch of wire.
Tao was asked again by an usher which family he was here for and was shown to a seat in the fifth row on the groom’s side. He took his seat, unbuttoning his jacket as he got comfortable and glanced around as more people filed in and filled the seats little by little. He noticed a few familiar faces and greeted family as they came up to see him.
It didn’t take long for the seats to fill and soon the doors at the back were closed to prepare for the arrival of the wedding party. Soft music played from hidden speakers overhead and no doubt at the ends of the aisles in the large fake planters full of even more greenery.
The groom made his way down the aisle to wait at the altar for the bride and Tao could see just how pleased his cousin looked. He imagined anyone would be happy on a day like this.
The groomsmen hadn’t arrived yet and it left Tao wondering if they were going to walk the bridesmaids down the aisle. His assumption was wrong as the groomsmen came down the aisle not long after and took their places. There were three and based on the color of their ties, Tao assumed the one closest to Jun to be the best man.
The doors were shut again as the music continued to drift from overhead and the planters. Tao hated to seem impatient but he couldn’t help, checking his watch. It seemed things were right on schedule and he decided to open his program while he waited for the next part of the wedding party.
He was glossing over the names of the wedding party when one in particular caught his attention. ‘Y/F/N Y/L/N.’ His eyes widened as he read it. ‘Could it be?’ He wondered but ultimately decided it couldn’t be. And he had no way of confirming because he’d never learned your last name.
The doors opened and Tao looked over his shoulder as the ring bearer made his way down the aisle and stopped near the front to give the rings to the best man and then went to go sit with his parents as the two flower girls made their way down the aisle, leaving pastel flower petals in their wake.
Finally, the two girls were seated and the maid of honor headed down the aisle to take her spot, followed by the bridesmaids. The first was a very pretty blonde woman who happened to look very familiar but upon looking at the second bridesmaid, Tao was sure his heart stopped.
There you were.
You smiled as you gave Bai a thumbs up, one last wish of luck and encouragement before you stepped out onto the aisle and started down the walkway behind Gwen who was already halfway down the rows of seats.
You matched her pace, smiling as you caught the eyes of some of your friends in the crowd as you made your way to the front. Your walk only lasted a couple moments and soon you were standing before Gwen as the doors were shut to prepare for Bai’s grand entrance.
You glanced around the audience, eyes skimming over the faces of each guest as the music reached a crescendo and your eyes landed on a face you never thought you’d see again. Let alone staring back at you.
‘Tao?’
The last person Tao expected to see walking down the aisle at his cousin's wedding was the woman he met two years ago in Shanghai. The woman he spent most of the night talking to. The woman he brought back to his hotel and slept with. The woman who turned down his offer to stay with him in Shanghai.
Yet, there you were, looking just as radiant as the last time he'd seen you. Not much had changed. Your hair was a little different but other than that, you looked exactly like he remembered.
He watched as you walked down the aisle, beaming at your friends and mouthing hello to a few as you made your way to the front. When you finally reached the altar and took your place behind the maid of honor and in front of the blonde woman, you started to look around.
Tao felt his heart start to pound as your eyes scanned the crowd closest to him and just when he thought maybe you’d skipped over him, your eyes met his and he knew.
He knew you knew he was there. He knew you could see him.
It had been two years and time seemed to stand still the moment your eyes met his. His breath caught in his chest as the music around him reached a crescendo but he almost couldn’t hear it. Like it was distant. All he could focus on was your eyes and the way they bore into him. Into his very being, into his soul.
And as soon as the moment began, it ended, your eyes tearing away from his gaze as you turned to look at the back of the room. Tao snapped out of his trance as those around him started to stand up in preparation for the bride’s march.
He watched as Jun’s fiancee, no doubt one of the girls you’d been with in Shanghai, walked down the aisle. Tao could see just how much love she had for his cousin in her face and her eyes as her father walked her down the aisle.
As they passed the row Tao sat in, he chanced a glance at you and found you were already looking at him but once his gaze met yours, you were quick to look away and back at your friend as she reached the altar.
The rest of the ceremony passed in a blur for Tao and try as he might to focus on his cousin’s vows and the exchanging of the ring, all he seemed to be able to watch was you though you didn’t look his way for the rest of the ceremony.
Shock couldn’t describe how you felt seeing Tao again for the first time in two years. You had assumed you probably would have never seen him again. For the rest of the ceremony, you kept your eyes on the bride and groom but you could feel his eyes on you.
The vows and ring exchange passed in a blur but you were able to perform your duties just fine. Walking back down the aisle proved to be easy as well, keeping your eyes forward as you walked with Bai’s brother, Cheng, and out of the room to the hall where you were quickly ushered to a waiting limo.
You were glad to be shuttled off to the reception location first so you would have a chance to compose yourself. ‘Maybe he won’t even be at the reception.’
If only you were so lucky.
Tumblr media
Once you arrived at the reception, it was a flurry of photographs and champagne before the guests arrived which didn’t take long. You were chatting with Gwen, sipping on your champagne when the first shuttle arrived with part of the reception guests.
Bai had promised that not all of the ceremony guests were attending the reception and she was right. About a third of the guests from the ceremony were not in attendance at the wedding reception but it was still not a small party by any means.
And of course, as the last of the guests boarded, you happened to catch a glance of Tao talking to Jun’s mother, her small hand resting on his forearm as he walked her into the main room.
You turned away to await the announcement of your best friend and her new husband but couldn’t help sneak a peek at Tao who was watching you with rapt attention. ‘Damn it. Why can’t he be a little less obvious?’
The MC picked up his mic and announced the couple of the hour.
Bai and Jun walked into the room, hand in hand as the crowd applauded. As soon as they were in the middle of the crowd, the first dance started and you watched adoringly as your best friend and her husband danced together on the floor for a couple minutes before other couples joined them.
Gwen asked if you wanted to dance but you shook your head, saying you needed to grab some food as you were starving. Gwen managed to snag one of the groomsmen and pull him onto the floor while you made your way over to the hors d’oeuvre table, picking up a small plate as you did.
Tao watched as you chatted with your blonde friend that he definitely recalled seeing in the club back in Shanghai. He watched as you shook your head and your friend walked off, grabbing one of Jun’s friends and pulling him onto the dance floor while you made your way around the crowd.
Tao excused himself to his aunt and made his way around the crowd, following your movements as you headed for the snack table. He should have known. That would be his move as well.
You were loading some snacks onto a small plate when he approached you. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, the song ended and with it the first dance to tumultuous applause. As the clapping died down, Tao tried again but was interrupted once more.
“There you are!” A voice said, causing both you and Tao to turn as Jun approached with his new wife in tow. Tao offered a friendly smile to his cousin. “It’s been a long time,” Jun said greeting Tao.
“You’ve been so busy lately,” Jun continued. Tao nodded in response. “It would seem you have been pretty busy lately too,” he joked nodding towards Jun’s bride. “Right,” Jun said quickly. “You haven’t had a chance to meet Bai yet,” he said, putting his hand on the small of the woman’s back.
“This is my g- well, it’s wife now,” he said. “Bai, this is my cousin, Tao.”
The noise that came from beside Tao as he was introduced to your friend caught not only his attention but that of the bride and groom. “Oh Y/N!” Bai said excitedly. “I wondered where you snuck off to.” You offered a sheepish smile, showing the plate you’d filled.
“Can’t drink all this champagne on an empty stomach,” you replied. Tao looked down, eyeing you up as this was the closest he’d been to you in two years. You looked incredible, the lilac dress Bai no doubt had taken great care in choosing, fit your body so well, showing off your figure as it hugged you.
“Sorry,” Bai said suddenly. “Where are my manners? Y/N,” she added. “This is Jun’s cousin Tao, though you must have overheard,” she said with a smile. You nodded. “Yeah,” you answered flatly.
You tore your gaze from Bai’s sincere smile to look at Tao who was giving you a half smirk and you were desperate to smack it off his face but you knew this was not the time nor place to hash things out with the man. Not at your best friend’s wedding.
“It’s nice to meet you, Y/N,” Tao said with feigned interest. You narrowed your eyes at him. “Likewise,” you said shortly before turning to Bai and Jun.
“Congratulations,” you said, giving them both very sincere smiles before excusing yourself to eat your snacks.
You had hardly gone a few paces before Tao caught up with you. “Look Y/N,” he said softly but you turned to face him angrily. “What the hell are you doing here?” You hissed at him, sounding every bit as pissed off as you looked.
“Jun is my cousin. We were like brothers growing up. I couldn’t miss his wedding,” he answered calmly. “And Bai is your best friend, so you had to be here too,” he added. “It’s not a big deal,” Tao said softly. “As far as anyone knows, we’re simply acquaintances now. No need to bring up the past if you don’t want to—”
“I don’t want to,” you retorted, hotly. Your answer was so quick and you could have sworn you saw a flash of pain across Tao’s face before it was gone before you could blink. “Fine,” he replied cooly before turning and walked away through the crowd.
You turned away and headed out of the room, uncertain if the heat you were feeling was from the crowded room or your anger.
You found a nice quiet space to eat your food and sip on your champagne where you wouldn’t be disturbed. The yacht had left harbor already and was cruising on the ocean, the [city] skyline a blur or bright lights and colors from this distance.
You let out a sigh as you took another sip of your champagne. A server walked by, offering to take your now empty plate and another glass of champagne. You thanked them and decline the alcohol knowing if you were going to get through this night unscathed, you needed to keep a clear head.
You were looking over the water when you felt arms circle your waist. “Why is my best friend sulking out here?” Bai asked softly and you turned to face her, giving her a smile. “Just needed some air,” you answered. “And space to eat my food.”
Bai looked around, checking over her shoulder before she spoke again. “I need to ask you something really important,” she said softly and you nodded, waiting for her to speak. “What do you think of Tao?”
You had been dreading this since you saw him at the ceremony and even more so when he walked onto the yacht. You hated lying to Bai but you couldn’t exactly tell her the truth. Not tonight anyway.
“He’s okay,” you answered softly. “I don’t really know him.”
Bai gave you a cheeky smile. “Do you want to?” You narrowed your eyes at her. “Why are you asking?”
Bai sighed before launching into an explanation of how Gwen has been eyeing Tao ever since she noticed him and how she, Bai, knows Gwen is too much of a partier and player and from what Jun has told her about his cousin, that’s not Tao at all.
“So I thought, maybe, I could link the two of you up and Gwen would move on,” Bai finished and you sighed. “I don’t know, Bai,” you answered. “I’m not really comfortable with him.” Bai sighed heavily. “Well, I told Jun I’d try and try I did,” she said sadly before perking back up.
“Now get back in there, I wanna dance with my best friends!”
You chuckled as Bai dragged you back into the reception, pulling you onto the floor where Gwen joined you and the three of you danced together.
Tao had just finished dancing with his aunt when he noticed Jun standing off to the side with his groomsmen and walked over, greeting Jun’s friends. It wasn’t long after that the others dispersed, no doubt on the prowl for girls to dance with. Tao waited before speaking his mind.
“How well do you know Bai’s friends?” He asked, drawing his cousin’s attention.
“Okay, I guess,” he answered. “I know enough,” he added with a laugh.
“What does that mean?” Tao asked innocently, thanking the server who brought him a glass of whiskey. “It means I know enough about them to give you a basic assessment,” Jun answered as he took another glass of champagne.
Tao took a sip of his drink and nodded. “Okay,” he said as the alcohol moved down his throat. “I’ll bite.”
Jun chuckled, turning to look at his wife and her three friends. “Julie is easy. She loves romance novels and movies. She’s very sensitive and cries when she gets drunk,” Jun said, leaning towards Tao, pointing to the maid of honor who wore a different color of dress than the other two.
“Okay,” Tao said with a nod. “Don’t go for her. She’s very sappy and not into one night stands,” Jun added. Tao laughed with a nod.
"Noted."
“Gwen, the blonde, is your typical party girl. Loves to drink, loves to party, always has a raging hangover the next morning. I bet tomorrow she’ll be wearing sunglasses to breakfast,” Jun explained as Tao watched your pretty blonde friend take your hand and twirl you around.
“What about Y/N?” Tao asked, attempting to sound nonchalant. Jun turned to his cousin, eyeing his expression. “Don’t even think about it,” Jun said with a laugh. Tao turned to look at him. “What?” He asked.
Jun shook his head again. “She had this one night stand in Shanghai like two years ago,” he started to explain, Tao’s breath catching in his throat as he listened. “Really fucked her up from what Bai said. She fell into a depression when they came home. Bai said she’s never seen Y/N like that before. It only seems like she’s just gotten over it.”
Tao tuned out the rest of Jun’s words, keeping his eyes trained on you. The way you danced so carefree with your friends, laughing, and twirling in their company. He’d only ever seen you that happy at the club before he approached you.
Had you really been that torn up after rejecting him? Tao had half a mind to walk over and apologize, ask to talk to you in private but what he saw next made his blood boil. Two of Jun’s groomsmen, Cheng and Ming, had approached you and Gwen while Julie and Bai danced together.
Cheng asked Gwen to dance which she accepted. Ming however asked you to dance and it took every ounce of self control Tao had in his body to keep from launching across the room and snatching your hand from Ming’s as you accepted his invitation. He’d never experienced such strong jealousy before that moment.
He watched as you started to dance with Ming and Jun’s voice came into focus again, almost as if Tao went temporarily deaf and his hearing was coming back.
“Ah now that’s a good match. Ming is a great guy. Y/N needs something like that after what happened. Someone to keep her grounded,” Jun said with a smile. Tao tried not to roll his eyes. He excused himself to get another drink and turned away from the scene before him.
He hated seeing you in the arms of another man though he knew he had no right to be. It just sucked, the whole situation sucked. He ordered another drink from the bar and thanked the bartender when he poured him a double whiskey, neat.
Tao slammed the alcohol down and tipped the bartender before turning away and noticing that a new song was playing and you were still dancing with that guy. Tao hovered at the bar, watching you as a second dance turned into a third and then into a fourth before you excused yourself.
He watched as you exited the room once more and gave it a couple moments before following casually.
Outside, the air was much cooler and the salty breeze offered a nice reprieve from the hot oven like situation in the ballroom. So many people gathered into one spot and then add alcohol into the mix was a recipe for an extremely hot crowded room.
You leaned against the railing at the stern, looking over the edge at the water below as the yacht trudged on. You inhaled deeply and sighed. Maybe you should call it a night and go lie down in the bridal party suite. It was a room you were to be sharing with Gwen and Julie while Bai and Jun spent the night in their suite.
You heard footsteps approaching from behind and let out a chuckle. “If you’re coming to drag me back to the party, think again,” you called out as the person you assumed to be Bai or Gwen behind you stopped.
“That’s not what I had planned,” a familiar voice said. You turned to see Tao standing behind you, hands tucked in his pockets. Neither one of you said anything for a moment before he nodded to the space beside you.
“May I?” He asked. You shrugged your shoulders and turned to look back over the black water with the elongated reflection of the moon dancing in the waves. Tao squeezed himself into the space next to you, scanning the ocean before you.
“It’s so peaceful out here,” he noted softly. You nodded without a word, taking in the scenery. “Why are you out here alone?” Tao asked suddenly. You shrugged again. “Just needed some fresh air,” you replied.
“But why alone?”
You looked at him, your brow furrowed. “Not that it’s any of your business, but I just needed to clear my head without anyone pestering me,” you snapped before looking away. Tao waited as you sighed and glanced at him.
“I’m sorry,” you said softly. “I have no right to go off on you like that,” you continued. “You were just asking me a question.”
Tao nodded silently. “And I’m sorry about snapping at you earlier. I was just…” you trailed off as you stared out into the endless sea. “You ever feel like sometimes you’re back into a corner and you have two options?” You asked, looking up at him as he looked back at you, studying your face.
“You can either accept your fate or lash out? Like a wild animal?”
Tao nodded, still watching you as you spoke. “That’s how I felt earlier. Being forced into this corner and having no way of escaping you, so I lashed out,” you explained. “For that I’m sorry. I’m sure this is just as weird for you as it is for me.”
Before Tao could stop himself, he blurted out the question that had been weighing on his mind for part of the night. “Did you never tell your friends about me?”
His question seemed to take you by surprise because it took a couple moments before you could answer. “Obviously they know about the one night stand and your offer for me to stay with you in Shanghai,” you finally answered.
“But as to who you were? No,” you answered. “I never told them.”
Tao tilted his head like a curious animal. “Why?” He asked simply. You shrugged your shoulders again. “I didn’t think I would ever see you again,” you replied. “This was the last place I expected to run into you.”
Tao nodded with a chuckle. “Yeah, me neither,” he answered. “Seeing you during the ceremony was unreal.” You glanced up to find him already looking down at you. “I thought I was imagining things when I saw your name in the program. Of course, it could have been a different Y/N. I didn’t know your family name until today.”
You said nothing, merely listening to him talk. “At first, I thought I’d been given a second chance,” he said with a smile before it dropped. “But then I thought that you wanted nothing to do with me. I thought the universe was just testing me.”
Your heart sunk at his tone. He sounded so… heartbroken.
Had he really wanted to see you so badly? Did he know what you went through after you left Shanghai two years ago?
“But then I spoke to my cousin,” Tao continued. “And he told me what you went through when you went home after Shanghai,” he added, turning to look at you.
Your stomach twisted into knots. Jun told Tao about your depressive episode? Why would he do that?
“And it got me wondering. Maybe I wasn’t the only one suffering,” he continued, turning and taking a step closer. “Maybe, just maybe, I wasn’t alone—”
A voice interrupted the two of you.
“Y/N?”
You both turned to find Ming walking over. “Bai asked me to come check on you and see if you were alright,” he said, eyeing Tao who simply gave Ming a cold stare. “You alright?” Ming asked. You nodded, giving him a small smile. “I’m okay,” you replied. “This is Jun’s cousin Tao. We’re just talking.”
Ming glared at Tao and moved forward to hold out his hand. “Let’s go back inside,” he said, not taking his eyes off Tao who glared back. You gently pushed Ming’s hand away. “I’m okay, really,” you said with a smile.
“Tell Bai I’m just fine out here and I’m with Tao,” you added.
Ming looked as shocked as Tao felt but hesitantly accepted your decision and turned around, heading back towards the bow of the yacht.
You turned back to Tao, the same kind smile on your face. “What were you saying?” You asked softly. Tao froze. What had he been saying?
“You said something about maybe you weren’t alone?”
Tao nodded, seemingly remembering what he was going to say.
“I thought that maybe I wasn’t alone in missing you, missing what we had back then.” You nodded. “You have no idea how much I regretted turning your offer down,” you replied, much to Tao’s shock.
“Then why did you?” He asked. You shook your head. “Does it matter now?” You asked. Tao nodded. “It matters to me,” he answered, closing the distance between you. “Why?” You asked softly.
“Why would it when we both know how this ends,” you murmured, turning away from Tao to look over the railing at the water below. “It doesn't have to end like that,” he responded softly, only looking up to meet your gaze once you turned your head to look at him.
The dark look in his eyes sent chills down your spine. It was similar to the look he'd given you in the club two years ago. He slowly closed the distance, his body pressing against yours. Your eyes shut involuntarily as you relished the warmth coming from his body.
“Tao,” you warned, forcing your eyes open and reminding yourself where you were. "We can’t." You let out a sigh as one of his hands moved up, taking your chin in his hands and tilting your head back, thumb moving to brush over your bottom lip. “And why is that, baby?” he murmured, ducking his head to press slow, deliberate kisses against your cheek and down to your jawline.
“We’re in public,” you reminded him as his lips moved further still, kissing down the side of your neck. “That can be changed easily,” he answered, his other hand moved to your back, pulling you against him as he pinned you against the railing. “Tao,” you whined, your own hands resting against his chest.
“Fuck, say my name again,” he whispered against your skin. You tried to push him back and create space between you but Tao growled, the hand on your back moving down to grab your ass as he pressed himself further against you.
“Push me away again and I’ll take you right against this railing for anyone to stumble on,” he warned.
Your thighs clenched together under your dress as you felt his hardening cock grind against your thigh. You let out a weak moan as his hand found its way to your neck, fingers gripping tightly.
“Tell me to stop and I will,” he said, eyes meeting yours in a heated gaze. “Tell me to leave you alone now and I will. When the boat docks, I will step off onto the dock and you'll never see or hear from me again.”
Your stomach dropped, the idea of never seeing Tao again too much to bear. “N-no!” you half shouted. “Don’t go.”
Tao’s grip on your neck loosened. He studied your face, eyes looking into yours and then dipping down to look at your lips and then back up. You weren’t sure who moved first but the next moment, your fingers were fumbling with his jacket as he pulled you away from the railing and towards an unlocked door.
You moaned into his kiss as he guided you through the door, kicking the door shut and locking the door. You made quick work of his suit jacket and were undoing the bow tie he'd probably spent a good amount of time to look neat and presentable.
Once the tie was gone, you started to unbutton his shirt, moaning as his teeth sank into your shoulder while his fingers fumbled with the zipper and straps of your dress. “I need this to come off,” he growled impatiently as he managed to get it unzipped and started to push off you, letting the dress fall to the floor, pooling at your feet.
Your cheeks burned as Tao took in the sight of you before him. The hot pink lace adorning your skin was enough to drive any man wild. His fingertips skimmed over the lace and your skin, bumps erupting under his touch before he grabbed you by the neck roughly.
“Did you wear this for someone specific, baby?” he asked. You shook your head. “I just love the color and the lace,” you admitted, running your fingers over the edge of the lace of your bra cup. Tao’s hands replaced yours before running down to grab your waist and pull you closer. “So you weren’t expecting to get laid tonight?”
You shook your head again.
Tao tilted his head, fixing you with an intense stare.
“Not even by that guy you danced with, right in front of me?” You opened your mouth to respond but Tao stopped you, taking your chin in his hand. “You have any idea how pissed I was, baby?” he growled deeply. “Seeing another man putting his hands on you?”
You tried to answer him but he gently shook your head. “Uh-uh, baby. You speak when I say you can,” he snapped with a stern expression and narrowed eyed.
“You’re already in big trouble.”
His hand moved back to your throat and guided you away from the wall and towards the bed. “On the bed,” he said, letting go of your neck and moving to lock the door. When he turned back and saw you still standing by the bed, Tao let out an exasperated sigh.
“Are you going to make me force you onto the bed, kitten?”
You stared at him as he walked towards you slowly. “Did you hear me?”
You nodded, glancing from him to the bed and back, making a show of it.
Tao stopped just a couple feet from you. “I gave you an order, kitten,” he said, his voice dangerously low.
“On the bed. Now.”
The tone of his voice shifted and you were quick to obey, climbing onto the bed. You realized your heels were still on but as you moved to take them off, Tao’s fingers closed around your ankle. “Keep them on,” he whispered. You withdrew your hands and waited for further instruction.
“Oh you look so pretty like this,” he murmured, taking your chin gently in his hand and tilting your head back to look up at him.
“Are you going to be a good girl and listen?” he asked, his voice sweet and soft. You looked up at him through your lashes and nodded slowly. Your lips parted as his thumb brushed over the plush of your bottom one. “Look at you,” he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Doing what I want without being asked.” He clicked his tongue in approval.
“Such a good, obedient slut.”
A soft gasp escaped your lips as the word left his mouth. Tao raised a brow, looking down at you. “Too much, baby?” he asked. You shook your head, arousal pooling in your panties. You liked it much more than you’d like to admit.
“Good,” Tao answered, standing over you with his hands tucked in his pockets.
“You were a bit bad earlier,” he continued. “Dancing with that guy, knowing I was watching. That really made me mad, baby girl.” Your walls clenched around nothing as he spoke, feeding into what he knew you liked from last time.
“You know what happens when you make me mad?”
You shook your head silently, keeping your eyes fixed on Tao. His face broke into a gentle smile. “You get punished.”
Your breath caught in your throat as your heart pounded in your chest, blood rushing to your core and your face at the same time. ‘Punished?’
You said nothing, waiting for Tao to give you permission to speak. “I assume you have no questions then, kitten?” he asked, the amused tone back in his voice. You shook your head. “Perfect,” he replied, pulling his hands from his pockets and moving to undo his belt. “On your hands and knees, baby,” he said as he unbuckled his belt and started to remove it.
You were hesitant, eyeing the belt in his hands before moving into position. The idea of him using the belt to punish you was better than you could have imagined and made your arousal grow, starting to spread and soak your panties.
“Ass to me, kitten,” Tao said softly. You shifted, making sure your ass was right in front of him. You felt his hand run carefully over your back end, smoothing over the lace and your skin gently. “Such a pretty ass you have,” he murmured.
“It’s a shame I have to mark it up.”
You barely had time to look behind you before a sharp stinging hit your ass and you cried out. Tao grabbed your panties and pulled you back. “Keep quiet,” he growled. “Unless you want everyone to know what a slut you are, getting punished on a yacht during your friend’s wedding reception.”
You pulled your bottom lip between your teeth. “I’ll make this quick,” Tao said, smoothing his hand over the sore spot. “I won’t draw it out,” he added.
“Count them for me, sweetheart.”
And you did. After each swat from his belt, you counted.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.
The number of minutes you danced with Ming.
When he was done, your ass was red, sore, and covered in lines that were starting to welt slightly. “Talk to me, Y/N,” Tao said softly. “Green, yellow, or red?”
Your arms shook, as did your thighs, your head ducked as you held off tears. “Gr-green,” you stammered. You heard Tao move around behind you, his footsteps leading away before returning. “I’m gonna remove these now,” he said, giving your panties a slight tug.
You winced as the lace scratched your sore skin. “Sorry,” Tao whispered as he pulled your soiled panties down. Once removed, Tao pocketed them and picked up a small bottle of cooling gel. “This might burn a little but I promise it’ll help,” he added as he squeezed a good amount of gel onto his fingers and started to carefully rub it into your reddened skin.
You whimpered, body trembling as he made sure to cover all the marks.
“I think I went too hard,” he muttered but you shook your head. “No,” you gasped. “It was perfect, daddy.” You turned your head to look back at him. “Like you said,” you continued, meeting his gaze. “I was a bad girl and needed to be punished.”
Tao clicked his tongue, fighting the urge to smile as he closed the cap on the tube and tossed it into the bag he retrieved it from. “Whose room is this?” you asked suddenly as he wiped his hands clean.
“Mine,” he answered. He must have noticed your surprised expression because he laughed. “You really thought I’d bring you into some stranger’s room?”
You chuckled lightly, the stinging and burning sensation dissipating as whatever gel he used soaked into your skin.
“That gel is amazing,” you noted as Tao moved behind you again. “I use it when I’m sore after a workout,” he replied as he started to undo the top couple buttons of his shirt. “Can you move?” he asked. You carefully sat back, feeling no pain or burning. “Good,” he answered.
“On your feet baby.”
You climbed backwards off the bed and stood carefully. “Come here,” you heard Tao said softly, one of his hands gently taking you by the elbow and turning you to face him, his other hand coming up to cup your cheek as his lips met yours with a groan.
“I still don’t think you’ve been punished enough,” Tao murmured, the hand on your arm moving around your back, pushing you against him. “You don’t?” You gasped, heart pounding when he shook his head.
“No. In fact,” he said pulling back to look over your face, thumb gently pulling down on your bottom lip. “I’d like to put this pretty mouth to use.”
You waited for his instruction and when he placed his hand on your shoulder and firmly pushed down, you followed, allowing him to guide you to your knees.
“Get to work,” he said, nodding down at his zipper.
You slowly reached up, tearing your eyes from his gaze as you unbuttoned his pants and started to pull the zipper down. You glanced up to find him watching you carefully. “Keep going,” he encouraged.
You made a show of tugging his pants down, stopping halfway down his thighs and leaving only his dark blue boxer briefs between you and his hard cock.
Your hands slid up his thighs, moving to take hold of his hips as you looked up to meet his gaze once more. You wordlessly moved one of your hands over his erection, pressing your palm over it and starting to slowly circle, massaging as you maintained eye contact.
Tao kept his composure, watching and waiting for you to continue.
Slipping your fingers under the waistband of his underwear, you slowly pulled them down until his cock sprang free, just as big as you remembered, the tip red and already leaking precum.
Pulling his underwear down to meet his pants, you grabbed his length in one hand, fingers wrapping around the shaft and carefully stroking him. You used your thumb to spread the bead of precum at the tip and watched as his eyelids fluttered, lips parting. You were enjoying watching him react until one of his hands grabbed your wrist tightly.
“Don’t tease me, baby girl,” he growled. “Or I’ll make your punishment even worse.” You obeyed with a nod and as innocent a look as you could muster.
“Open your mouth, princess,” Tao ordered. You opened your mouth for him, even sticking out your tongue without him asking. He seemed to like that.
“Good girl,” he cooed, moving his hand over yours on his cock. “Keep that mouth opened wide for me.”
You did as he said as he guided the head of his cock past your lips, the weight heavy on your tongue. You tried not to moan as his cock glided against your tongue.
The last time you were together, you hadn’t gotten the chance to go down on him so this was new territory. You were sure your wetness had seeped out and that you were dripping onto the carpet as the head of Tao’s cock reached the back of your mouth.
You felt his fingers tangle in your hair. “Start moving, sweetheart.”
You did just that, Tao’s hand there to guide your head how he liked. He was gentle with you, considering the size of his cock and this being your first time going down on him.
Keeping your tongue flat, you started to take control, moving your head of your own accord, at your own rhythm while Tao kept a tight hold on your hair. “Oh fuck,” he groaned, looking down to watch his cock, coated in your spit, disappear in your mouth. “I regret not having you do this before.”
You placed both hands on his thighs, bobbing your head and filling the room with lewd, wet sounds. You could feel him meeting your movements with tiny thrusts, grunting with the effort of trying to hold back.
You pulled off him, taking his cock in your hand and stroking him quickly. “Don’t hold back,” you murmured, looking up at him. He looked down to meet your gaze. “Don’t hold back?” He asked, slightly perplexed. You nodded.
“Fuck my face if you need to. Use me to get yourself off, daddy.”
Tao let out a groan as you took his cock back into your mouth, your own spit starting to dribble past your lips and down your chin. The grip on your hair tightened as Tao held your head still.
“Tap my thigh three times if it’s too much, okay?” You nodded best you could, humming in response. Your hands on his thighs as you braced yourself, Tao gave you a measured and tentative thrust.
When you didn’t react, he thrusted a little harder, the head of his cock hitting the back of your throat. You gagged but motioned for him to continue.
“Shit,” he groaned, guiding your head as he thrust into your mouth.
“I had no idea you were such a dirty little slut.”
You moaned around his dick, walls clenching around nothing as you no doubt spilled onto the carpet beneath you.
Your knees were starting to burn from the cheap, low-pile of the carpet but you ignored it. You didn’t want to interrupt Tao and have to receive more punishment.
His thrusts grew, each time the tip of his dick hitting the back of your throat with a wet gagging sound as your throat tried to accommodate his size.
“Fuck,” Tao cursed. “You really are gonna let me use you, huh?”
You moaned again, the vibrations making Tao buck his hips.
“God look at you,” he said with a chuckle. “You look like a wreck.”
You glanced up at him as he continued to fuck your mouth. “Your makeup is completely ruined,” he noted. He forced your head further down, holding you in place as you gagged around his cock not once or twice, but three times. He pulled your head back, your saliva spilling from your mouth and down your chin, falling onto your chest.
“Such a messy fucking slut,” he growled. “I’m gonna enjoy ruining this hot mouth.”
He guided your head back to take his cock again and repeated the same thing, guiding your mouth along his cock, thrusting into your mouth and holding you in place as you gagged, tears rolling down your cheeks and no doubt ruining your expert applied makeup.
“Come on, baby,” he growled. “I know you can take more.”
Your body jerked, gagging as he pushed your head further, forcing more of his cock into your mouth and pushing past and into your throat. You gagged again, vision blurring as tears spilled from your eyes.
After what felt like minutes but was more likely only a few moments, Tao pulled your head back, the sting on your scalp making you moan loudly.
“If I waited any longer,” Tao panted, looking down at your tear and spit stained face. “I was gonna cum.”
You whined, wanting him to cum in your mouth but Tao lightly slapped your cheek. “Get up,” he ordered. You took his hand, allowing him to pull you shakily to your feet. Tao’s hand disappeared between your thighs, deft fingers finding your slit, dripping with your juices.
“God, you’re so fucking wet, baby,” he groaned, fingers moving along your slit. “On the bed now,” he instructed, pulling his hand back.
You sat back, only wincing slightly as he unbuttoned and removed his shirt, his pants and underwear following quickly.
“Lie back,” he ordered, dropping to his knees at the edge of the bed as your back hit the sheets. Using his hands, he spread your thighs, eyeing your glistening core with a look of hunger and desire.
Spreading your folds, he leaned in and gave a light lick, groaning at the taste of your cunt. “God, I missed this,” he muttered, giving you another slow lick, making sure to tease your clit.
“Tao,” you whined, back arching off the bed.
“That’s not my name, you know,” he muttered, chuckling against your skin as he littered kisses and bites along the inside of your thighs. “D-daddy,” you whimpered as the tip of his tongue toyed with the sensitive bundle of nerves.
“That’s better, baby.”
With each lick, suck, and kiss, he had your thighs twitching, threatening to close around his head but of course, he’d never let that happen with his strong grip on your thighs.
It was easy for him to draw moan after moan from you with just his mouth, licking, sucking, and groaning into your pussy. You propped yourself up on your elbows to glance down between your thighs at him, finding his eyes closed as he lost himself completely in your taste.
Your head fell back against the mattress with a mewl as your toes curled, your orgasm hovering just over your head. “D-daddy please,” you whimpered, one of your hands moving to comb through his locks. He grunted against your cunt, still lapping at your juices as he teased you closer and closer to your high.
“You wanna cum, pretty girl?” He asked softly, voice deeper and huskier than it had been before. “You wanna cum on my tongue?” You nodded frantically.
“Yes daddy, please!” Tao chuckled, pulling back from your soaked center and wiped his lps on the back of his hand before crawling over you, kissing his way up your stomach and stopping to pull down the cups of your bra, taking one of your pert nipples in his mouth as his tongue brushed over it, suckling softly.
His other hand kneaded your free breast, groping and gently pinching your nipple between his thumb and forefinger, rolling it lightly. Your back arched into his face, thighs tightening around his waist as you rolled your hips, seeking friction.
Tao pulled back, teeth lightly grazing your nipple before he peppered kisses along your collar, up the side of your neck and to your lips, taking you in a searing and passionate kiss. Your hips continued to look for friction, finding it in his cock gliding between your pussy lips and rutting against your clit.
“You want this?” He asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper. “You want daddy’s cock?”
You nodded, hot tears of frustration threatening to spill from your eyes as you begged him. “Please, please, please,” you chanted, your soaked and aching hole chasing his cock. Tao let out a dark chuckle before reaching between you to position his cock at your entrance.
“So eager,” he murmured as he barely pushing into you, sinking the head of his cock past your wet folds. “So needy,” he continued, pushing a little further, his girth stretching you out so deliciously.
You let out an unrestrained, wanton moan as he continued to slide further and further into you, unrestricted, your velvety walls hugging every ridge and vein of his length, sucking him in.
“Fuck, I forgot how good you feel,” he groaned, resting his forehead against your chest as he bottomed out.
“So tight and warm.”
You moaned loudly again, trying to pull his hand away when he covered your mouth. “You’re so loud,” he grunted as he gave you a measured thrust,” chuckling as the tears in your eyes started to spill, rolling down your temples and disappearing into the sheets.
“Oh look at you,” he murmured, amused. “Crying for me? Miss me that much?”
You whimpered as his thrusts picked up, his skin hitting yours and filling the room with the sound of wet slapping as his cock pounded your tight heat. “Gonna fuck you so good. Fuck you so hard you can’t walk,” he groaned in your chest.
He raised his head, littering kisses along your neck. “‘M gonna fuck you so good you only want this dick from now on.”
Your legs tightened around his waist, locking him in place as he continued to ram into you, each drag of his raw cock against your walls sending you to a higher plane of existence, an intense heat spreading from your stomach to your fingertips and toes.
You weren’t going to last long and Tao knew it. He could hear it in the increased pitch of your moans. He could feel it in the heat radiating from your skin. He could see it in your eyes as they rolled back.
“That’s it,” he murmured, watching your face as your orgasm approached.
“Be a good girl and come on this cock,” he groaned, your fluttering walls hugging him so nice and warm as your climax neared.
Your fingers tightened in his hair, nails scraping his scalp as you scratched down his back with the other hand, your hips trying to meet his with each erratic thrust as he helped you ride out your high by chasing his own.
CUT
You toppled over the edge, coming with a string of curses and his name. “Oh fuck, daddy, I’m coming,” you mewled, stars swarming your vision and your head going fuzzy. A warmth gushed out of your abused hole as Tao continued to pound you into the mattress.
“Fuck, fuck, shit,” he hissed as his hips stuttered only for a moment, before he slammed into you one final time, coming with a moan of your name before he realsed his thick hot load into your cunt, filling it almost to the brim as his hips finally stilled.
You both laid there, panting heavily as you tried to catch your breaths, Tao’s cock still buried deep in your pussy. You could feel his release start to spill out of your hole, wincing with a whine as he pulled out of you and collapsed onto his back beside you, staring up at the dark ceiling.
“How is it possible for it to be even better the second time around?” He huffed, shaking his head as he brought a hand up to wipe his forehead. You giggled, turning your head to look at him.
“That good, huh?” You croaked, your voice hoarse from moaning and calling his name. He turned to meet your stare, a cheeky smile crossing his features. “I’ve been blown away both times,” he answered. “It’s like you have an iron vice down there,” he joked, making you whine and roll into him to hide your face.
Tao laughed, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you into him. “You know,” he said as his laughter subsided. “I’ll bet everyone is wondering where you went,” Tao murmured, pressing kisses to your jaw and cheek.
“They’re probably wondering the same thing about you,” you replied, giggling as his kisses turned tickling, pulling you against his sweaty body.
“Ugh, you’re so sweaty,” you whined as he cupped your cheek, pulling your lips to meet his in a surprisingly tender kiss. “They can wonder for all I care,” Tao whispered when he finally broke the kiss.
The silence that fell over the both of you was much more comfortable than it had been before and you watched as Tao played with your fingers, lacing his own with yours while holding you close to him, your cheek resting against his chest.
“You know,” he said softly, breaking the silence and making you look up at him.
“My offer still stands.”
Your brow furrowed. “What offer?”
Tao looked down to meet your gaze. “My offer to spend time with me in Shanghai,” he answered. Your cheeks burned as you felt your stomach churn. This hadn’t ended well the last time and you hated when history repeated itself.
The longer you stared at him and he at you, the more you realized that his offer would always be open ended. It was clear there was an attraction between you but there was something else in his eyes. Something more than hope.
You couldn’t put your finger on it but you knew what it was.
I guess since I turned you down last time,” you started, looking at your intertwined hands.
“I could give it a chance,” you finished, watching as he pulled your hand closer and gave the back a kiss. “Are you going to tell your friends?” He whispered, hoping you would say yes. When you nodded, he felt relieved.
“Not until tomorrow though,” you answered. “Let Bai and Jun enjoy their night before we bring our drama into their lives. Tao snorted but said nothing to argue against your point.
“Fine,” he answered, thumb stroking the side of your hand tenderly.
“But tomorrow,” he added.
“For tonight, just focus on me.”

clowning 101 : how cpns work ( short version )
let’s do a little exercise to illustrate a point about cpns/sugars and how these things work. this is based on my personal experience in the fandom and what i find is the best way to handle them. first things first, not all cpns are there to prove a romantic relationship. tho that is implied, it’s often a proof of their connection and because of that why they work so well together as a pair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now time for the exercise :
Now time for the exercise :
A CPN going around today is another incidence of same/similar shoes. WYB wore one for his Bottled Joy Ad and GG while filming his new drama. The brand is one of those streetwear ones — Starwalk Soldier. They have a store in Shanghai and if you look at their Weibo or Instagram — you’ll see that there are other c-ent celebrities who were photographed wearing shoes from the same brand. So it’s not as niche as the other wardrobe CPNs we have. We’re not sure when the Bottled Joy Ad was filmed, but their Weibo account posted WYB wore their brand 10/8. Then today, GG was photographed with the opposite design of that shoe ( yes I know, one should be all white to be the opposite but it’s another take on it. ) Now that we have the facts let’s go to the next step.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a turtles, this can go in different ways:
1. You can dismiss it. Walk away. Oh. same/similar ones again? sure. Nothing new. They have the same style and look more and more alike each day. Bye.
2. Probably their stylist’s choice. It’s a coincidence that it’s from the same line and one choice b&w while the other all black.
3. This is true CPN. What are the chances that ZZ would wear it the day after the brand posts about WYB wearing it. Also people have already CPN’d another same/similar shoe recently so ZZ must be paying attention and decided to clown us. This may be another example of one of them buying a “pair” so they can have couple shoes.
4. Add number 3 + The imagery is appealing to them because of the Star. An image that is both special to them and the fandom. Also it looks like a shooting star, similar to the one in WYB’s racing suit which we CPN ( my god not even cpn, we have video that GG said he will design a suit for him ; but we still gotta label it properly ) GG designed. So maybe that’s why one of them picked it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Nah. This not for me. Not everything is CPN.
All of the above ( and more if your reaction is a combination of the numbers ) are correct reactions. There is no right or wrong answer. The ones who believe it don’t need to convince the other. If you don’t buy it— you don’t need to force yourself or feel bad about it either. That’s the fun in CPN. This is why it’s such a popular part of fandom and the fact that we have so many for people to discover is an exciting activity too.
Next example is Sailor Moon. 🌙 since WYB is promoting it via Shu Uemura’s collection. This is not the first time we CPN’d a collectiom from SU, Web did one featuring One Piece before and that has a stronger CPN theme to it.
It’s an example of a CPN that is about similarities and connections. ZZ loved this cartoon when he was a child and said he would go home and watch it instead of do what other boys his age did. In today’s Let’s chat episode WYB also recognized it, which means he knows it. And well, he is Sailor Mercury after all —
Tumblr media
Also, ZZ’s “sailor moon” hairstyle from his XNINE Days.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can go deeper and say that these two are not ashamed to say out loud that this show which is considered “girly” is something they like. They both were never really afraid to be associated with feminine things.
Lastly is WYB’s pose in today’s GQ photoshoot materials.
Tumblr media
You can CPN this as much as you want and add in some backstory but it’s CPN already with how the photos “match”. Sometimes, it’s as simple as that.
What I just find harmful is when people say it’s REAL and forget to label things. Or ones who say they “know” what’s going on based on their friends/sources who are close to the boys. Lol. No. “sources” are sisheng accounts who follow the boys and invade their privacy. Random posts on weibo too about hearsays and so on. Second/Third/Fourth hand information. None of these accounts are in ZZ/WYB’s inner circle.
The point is, CPN/Candies is a part of fandom that should be enjoyed. Don’t get stuck in frustration when things don’t affect you as much as the others. Worse, try and make so/os and non believers buy into it. Or think about what so/os would say about certain candies. It’s for turtles only. It’s made and written for us and not anyone else. 💛
-END.

I found your ML meta and analysis posts by accident (i think i saw ur latest post abt adrien) and just noticed you have changed your icon into something matching the current spooky month so that's really cool! 😀I didn't think June's hair could be used for more pokemon but it fits haha and it's cool to see a familiar blog on my dash change their icon like this ^^ I'm also curious - have u seen the recent "ML Paris" special or are you thinking of seeing it? I know everyone is now more and more experiencing multiverse fatique from so many franchises doing their own episodes/movies w this theme, but I just find it a curious way to do character exploration. No spoilers but the special was imo kinda fun and also brought new questions into the fore, especially abt the kwami. Anyway, just wanted 2 comment abt the icon but then realized I could ask somerhing about Miraculous as well.
Thank you! My mutuals noted the same thing about Juniper hair going well on a surprising amount of Pokémon, so now I actually have a collection of pink-striped Pokémon icons to choose from. I’m glad other people liked the change too.
I haven’t seen the Paris special and, before people started posting about it, I was pretty sure I was going to skip it. I’m very suspicious about anything the show crew puts out for this franchise with what they ended up doing with seasons 4 and 5. I even ended up losing enthusiasm for the parts of the franchise I do enjoy, like seasons 1-3, and so I haven’t even seen the Shanghai Special yet despite intending to do so while season 4 was still picking up steam.
However, based on what everyone has been saying, it seems that the special managed to avoid everything I was worried about. With the way the show’s been treating Adrien, I had a lot of concerns over how an EvilAdrien take was going to go, but it seems it's not used to villanize Adrien and Adrien actually gets to influence the story of the special and his feelings are brought up and validated? We haven’t seen that since the Christmas Special. If I ignore all the nods at the seasons I despise and pretend this special doesn’t take place in the same timeline, I might be able to make it through this special.
Basically, I'm on the fence about watching the Specials.
Multiverses have been a superhero staple since All-Star Comics issue 3, which came out in 1940. It’s just that companies have only recently gained enough confidence in the superhero genre to go with the more outlandish genre staples. I’m trying to say that, as a superhero connoisseur, I don’t know the meaning of the term multiverse fatigue.

KOKIA updates: December 2023
Admin note: this will most likely be the last update of 2023. Below, I have summarized KOKIA's recent announcements and messages. As explained here, this will remain the style of updates for a little longer, though I hope to be back to old style full translations sometime in the new year. Thank you once again for your patience.
Tumblr media
KOKIA previously announced a performance in February 2024, and now we have the details from her news page from December 4: she'll be performing at Yokohama red brick warehouse #1, 3F hall, on February 4, 2024 with 'KOKIA 2024 Once-in-a-lifetime meeting Ongaeshi Yokohama' ('paying back a favor'). The venue will open at 16:00, while the performance starts at 16:30. All tickets are reserved seating and ¥ 8,000 tax included. KOKIA mentions how this is her chance to reconnect with her fans throughout Japan after returning to the country and things opening up again after the pandemic, and this marks the beginning of her era of giving back.
Advanced pre-sales have ended by now, but general ticket sales have opened December 23 via Capital Village.

KOKIA announced the above performance in her blog entry of December 4, after which she talked about her then upcoming performance in Shanghai. Tickets only went on sale two weeks in advance, and she worried if they would even sell, but the big hall for 1,500 people sold out after just 34 hours!
Then, on December 12, she talked about her guest performance at composer Yuki Kajiura's Kaji Fes on December 9. As she usually does solo performances, KOKIA was happy to perform as a guest and also watch other artists perform. It being Kajiura's 30th anniversary makes KOKIA reflect on her own 25th anniversary, and she feels strongly that she's the person to create her own limits herself. She wishes to head into 2024 at full force, breaking through her limits, and looks forward to her upcoming performances.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, in her most recent blog entry of December 25, KOKIA of course starts by wishing everyone a merry Christmas, herself surrounded by music.
As the end of the year draws close, she announces what she already teased with her Yokohama performance: 2024 will be a year for local performances throughout Japan, not just confined to Tokyo. Fan club members have received a mail or can check the MEMBERS page on her official website for club members advance registration for the following performances:
KOKIA Once-in-a-lifetime meeting tour 2024

Chinese 'Swifties' shake it off at Beijing watch party
Tumblr media
BEIJING
Waving glow sticks, and wearing sequin dresses and friendship bracelets, Chinese fans of American pop sensation Taylor Swift turn a normally-quiet Beijing cinema into a raucous celebration of their favorite singer.
The 14-time Grammy winner this month kicks off the Asia-Pacific leg of her "Eras" world tour with dates in Japan, Australia and, in March, Singapore.
Tumblr media
She won't, however, be stopping off in China, where she has a devoted fan base.
"She might have more fans in China than all her followers on Instagram," 31-year-old auto industry worker and superfan Flora Sun told AFP.
A bold claim -- Swift has 280 million followers on Instagram.
Tumblr media
But the devotion is definitely intense, and fans hope that by packing out cinemas with wild watch parties for her concert film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour", they can convince her to come perform.
"Today is the eighth time I have seen the film," 28-year-old educator Qi Yi told AFP at a recent watch party in the Chinese capital.
Tumblr media
Wearing a silver sequin dress resembling one of Swift's concert outfits and holding a silver microphone, Qi said she was "really happy" the film was being shown in China.
Fans know every song by heart, belting out the lyrics word for word. Many have the number 13 -- Swift's lucky number -- in temporary tattoos on their hands.
Tumblr media
There are in-jokes aplenty: references to Swift's public spats with mercurial rapper Kanye West and even a special "Eras" currency.
"I go to the cinema every weekend to watch it," said 25-year-old Mu Guangyuan, dressed in a purple-and-black graduation robe mimicking one Swift wore when she received an honorary degree in 2022.
Tumblr media
He and his friends held papers proving their status as graduates of Taylor Swift University -- with a degree in "Doctor of Swiftie".
Mu told AFP he's been a fan for 15 years -- and that he is going to Singapore to see her next month.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing her," he said. "I also really hope that she can come to China and meet us Chinese fans."
Tumblr media
More than 1.8 million movie tickets have been sold since the concert film's release in December -- making it the highest-grossing music documentary in China with 93 million yuan ($13 million) in earnings.
Fans said they would see every one of her gigs if she made it to China.
"Be it Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou or Shenzhen -- wherever Taylor Swift holds her concert, I will go and watch every one of them," one 22-year-old fan said.
Tumblr media
Not everyone is so optimistic that she will come to China.
Jess Wang, a megafan who has seen Swift perform in the United States, said she believed that authorities would disapprove of the American superstar's progressive politics.
Her open support for LGBTQ causes, her decision to work with dancers who do not conform to traditional gender roles and "revealing" -- by Chinese standards -- clothing could all land her in Beijing's bad books, Wang argued.
Tumblr media
"I don't think Taylor Swift's team would risk censoring (those things) just to get the approval."
And for her fans, that message of openness and good vibes is what they love about her in the first place.
"Taylor Swift gives me positive energy, which helps me to work hard", student Liu Jingyi said. "She gives me a lot of strength."

tagged by beloved @mhaccunoval to answer fifteen questions and tag fifteen people! (i can't remember fifteen urls at once so if you see this—you're tagged!)
1.) Are you named after anyone?
both of my grandmothers. my given/legal name is very long—i have the most middle names out of anyone in my family.
2.) When was the last time you cried?
hmmmm honestly i don't remember. i cried a lot over the past month and a half (mostly out of anger, frustration, or sensory issues). the nice thing i've cried about recently was the sunrise verse, though—it's taken over my mind and i'm not even upset because it's good.
3.) Do you have kids?
fuck no. i don't do well around younger children and try and avoid them as much as possible so no one involved has to deal with that.
4.) Do you use sarcasm a lot?
depends—i enjoy a good dose of sarcasm, though i try and conserve it for moments that i feel are worth it, but sometimes i'll say something sincere and it's wrongly interpreted as sarcasm, so...........
5.) What sports have you played?
believe it or not i was a competitive swimmer for five years, and i was pretty decent at it. unfortunately life conspired to make it impossible to pursue that further for a good while—though i'm planning on getting back to swimming regularly as exercise as soon as i have access to a pool again.
6.) What’s the first thing you notice about someone?
usually small details—what sort of hairpin they're wearing, or a necklace, ring, the pattern of their shirt, their bag etc.
7.) Eye Color?
green but my optometrist describes the view of it under equipment as "a very even gold" which lines up with the fact that my friends have said my eyes look like they're "unnaturally gold" in certain lights. i personally wouldn't know—i don't really do eyes, nor do i spend time staring at my own.
8.) Scary movies or happy endings?
depends! if i'm bored i'll watch something scary; if i'm tired or in need of comfort i like something with a happy ending.
9.) Any special talents?
i can forge signatures very well, unhinge my jaw, pattern things freehanded, and track down most things for free.
10.) Where were you born?
shanghai, china—my one true love and the home i plan to return to as soon as fiscally possible.
11.) What are your hobbies?
writing, writing, writing, and writing again. when i say writing is my life i'm barely exaggerating. besides that, though, i enjoy drawing, reading, sewing—and studying languages!
12.) Do you have any pets?
three cats; two black and one torbie. they're five this year and i love them more than words can express.
13.) How tall are you?
183cm/6ft
14.) Fave subject in school?
i didn't really do much public school ;; but in uni my favourite classes have been (possibly predictably) chinese and mathematics (i especially enjoy stats and calc).
15.) Dream job?
cnovel translator.................this will never happen, but i hope that one day i'll be able to do baihe translation as a side hobby. the more realistic "dream jobs" are in diplomacy and finance, both of which pay well and would allow me to move back to china.

Going Back to Where It Began
In the summer of 2019, I was working in Shanghai and one of the adventures that my friends and I did was to visit Tianzifang. It is this charming tourist attraction in the residential area of the French Concession that is filled with tiny boutique shops, cafés, and restaurants. You navigate through narrow alley ways to get from one shop to another which made me feel like I was in Diagon Alley from Harry Potter minus the wizards, witches, and dark magic.
In one of those alleys, we found this charming Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) shop. They sell all sorts of dreamy, charming trinkets, and the interior is so homey that it reminds you of the wonders of childhood. I watched the film "The Little Prince" many years before and I have forgotten about a lot of details from that film and even how it made me feel.
But on that day... in that shop... I saw the mural of The Little Prince and the famous line:
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
I have recently read the book that my friend gifted to me and stumbled on that line again. Those words touched my heart, nay, my soul... there is something in that message that is just so pure that brings tears to my eyes and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling like snuggling under a warm fluffy blanket on a cold day.
Essentially, "The Little Prince" is telling us that people forget what is essential once they grow up. They forget about the wonders of life, the simplicity of childhood, and the emotional connection with people. When we grow up, things need to make sense all the time, serious, and heavy because we have responsibilities, bills to pay, and a reputation to uphold.
It made me contemplate that perhaps our dreams are the same as being "grown -ups." When we start out our dreams, they are simple, beautiful, and pure. However, once we work for that dream, we succumb to the pressure and anxiety along the way of making that dream into reality that we lose sight of the purpose on why we started to work for it in the first place.
It is easy to get carried away to keep up with the expectations of the society, the promise of fame and fortune, or the fear that our efforts are in vain. But we should not be drowned by the external factors that make us abandon the passion and purpose to achieve our dreams.
We are surrounded with things that are supposed to make us feel fulfilled and whole as a human being. Yet deep down, the little prince was right, we are blindly pursuing nothing because we forgot what is essential: the purity of our dreams...the reason behind them. It is important that we know exactly why we do what we do now, and we don't take the fun and magic that make it special for us.
I always have the notion that life is simple, and only humans are making it complicated. Going after our dreams should not be as complicated or problematic as we make it out to be.
Ask yourself:
Am I doing this for the fame, fortune, or out of responsibility? Or...am I doing this to make a difference, to make myself happy, or out of passion?
No matter what your reason is, at least you know where you can find what you are looking for. Your dreams won't be lost in a limbo of "grown-ups" who wander aimlessly. Reach to the inner child in you, and look through your heart to find the answer to the question "Why you do what you do?"
You might find that the answer can be as simple as the single rose or the water in the middle of the desert.
The stars mean different things to different people. For some they are nothing more than twinkling lights in the sky. For travelers they are guides. For scholars they are food for thought. For my businessman they are wealth. But for everyone the stars are silent. Except from now on just for you... when you look up at the sky at night, since I shall be living on one of them and laughing on one of them, for you it will be as if all the stars were laughing. You and only you will have stars that can laugh. (An excerpt from The Little Prince)

Ghost Brother AU Pt 3
Part 1 Part 2 A Half-Hearted Second Chance Kaitou LeBlanc
(Hey, guys, rent’s coming up and I’m seriously short on cash, so if you enjoy this series, or any of my others, could you buy me a coffee? There are also open commissions available, details on my page).
After Sandboy is Hero’s day, so you know what that means--Danny gets a chance to kick butt. When Marinette goes to recruit Rena Rogue, Queen Bee, and Carapace, she also picks up the Tiger to give to Danny.
(And I’m ignoring the recent canon with this, so my Tiger still has the power of invisibility and represents the concepts of secrets :P )
So Kaitou is out there, fighting the good fight. He manages to get to the top of the Eiffel Tower, leaving his teammates behind, to one on one Hawkmoth. The fight only lasts a minute when Kaitou notices Ladybug being swarmed by akumas and darts down to help.
Even when they lose the other temp heroes, Kaitou is still in the game, marking him as the most skilled of the temporary heroes. Even with his help though, there’s no way to anticipate the peacock miraculous and Hawkmoth is still able to get away.
Becoming a hero against inspires a change in Danny. He grows more confident, more active; where before he was content to stay in the bakery all day working with his parents, he’s now willing to go out more and be a teenager.
I’ve said before that I headcanon Danny as 1/4th Japanese, so he starts taking classes to relearn the language his grandmother taught him as a child. There he meets Kagami, who is learning Advanced French from the same teacher. (Her mom is a perfectionist who insists she keeps attending even after she reaches competence)
Kagami bluntly states his pronunciation is terrible and Danny deliberately makes it worse to shake a laugh out of her.
I think Danny would be a really good friend to Kagami. He’d help get her out of her shell and loosen up a little. Meanwhile, Kagami is like “He has older brother vibes, I’m going to teach him to stab”, so he’s bullied into joining her fencing class.
The teacher doesn’t even notice.
(Tom, who has perfected the art of having Big Dad Energy, has been teaching his son how to project his Big Brother Energy to massive success. They have training sessions in the bakery where they encourage everyone they see and try out dumb dad jokes/puns. Sabine laughs every time she sees them).
I’m not sure who Danny’s love interest is yet. If you have a suggestion, leave it in the replies and state why.
Timeline says the Shanghai special happens after Heroes Day, and I’ve never watched it so rough fixes:
Danny and Marinette go to Shanghai with their parents (not sure how Danny gets there; I assume at this point they’ve figured out how to get him a fake ID) because they are good children who care about their Great Uncle, NOT because Marinette wants to follow Adrien to another continent.
I think it would be funny if Danny just... does not notice any of the supernatural superheroing going on. Like, Sabine has a massive family who have all come to celebrate Great Uncle Cheng’s birthday, so there’s sixty people milling around distracting him. It doesn’t help that this is the first time many of them are meeting Tom and Sabine’s new son. Everyone loves him and wants to talk to him.
“He’s such a handsome boy, but so skinny!” his Popo says. “Are you sure you’re feeding him enough?” “Mom,” Sabine complains, “stop talking about him when he can’t understand you.”
He and Tom stick right next to Sabine the entire time since they’ve only had a crash course in Cantonese and Mandarin and they need her for translating. Danny assumes Marinette is off hanging out with her cousin or something.
He’s relieved to return home. Unfortunately, that relief doesn’t last very long.
Remember how I said Danny took French as a high school elective? Well, Casper High has a tradition of their French class taking a week study aboard in Paris at the end of their senior year. And there’s a red huntress who is really going to love seeing Danny again...
Bonus round! Every minor change to Miraculous canon that happened because Danny is there. In order:
Evillustrator: Danny doesn’t let Marinette go out on a date with an akuma with only Chat Noir as back up, so he tags along and rescues them from the boat, only to be ditched by Marinette when she needs to transform.
Timebreaker: Marinette doesn’t have to hurry back to the bakery because Danny is there, ready with the cake. Instead, Chloe purposefully makes Marinette drop the watch and Alix blames everyone.
Bubbler: The first time in years Danny seriously considers outing his identity. He doesn’t count as an adult, so he’s not sky-bound, but he hovers around his parents, invisible, until the Miraculous Ladybug. If Ladybug had been any later, he would have revealed his powers to Tom and Sabine.
Darkblade: Sabrina doesn’t make it past the entrance of their home. Danny knows what his sister’s bullies look like and he keeps her out.
Kung Food: Instead of Marinette not being able to speak Mandarin, being nervous, and needing Adrien to help her, its this: Danny is the nervous one, since he can’t speak Mandarin and he’s never met any of his parents’ family before. Marinette, who is fluent because her mother taught her as a child, gets to be the calming presence for once and helps him get to know his new Great Uncle. Uncle Cheng is thrilled to meet Danny.
Troublemaker: Danny spends the day outside the bakery, terrified of being on TV in case Vlad finds him through an obscure French TV show.
Befena: Gina doesn’t realize Danny is Tom and Sabine’s son, she thinks he’s just some boy they hired to help in the bakery. When she finds out, she’s nearly akumatized again. Apparently, Tom sent her an email telling her about their new son, but she never read it.
Syren: It’s only through Danny’s quick thinking that his parents didn’t drown like so many of Paris. He had nightmares for weeks afterwards.

ALTERNATIVE PROPOSED TIMELINE PART 3!! (yes, really).
in the same day i’m back. because im a fool, MLB’s fool, trying to invent sense where there is none, because i stick my middle finger to the sky and Thomas Astruc’s logic, but whatever. May as well give you at least a few options to choose. This kinda blends a bit of part 1 and part 2 but is a bit more detailed than part 2. Am i actually writing these because i might need a sensible timeline for a hypothetical fic that may or may not actually get written? maybe.
preface: So, we know Cat blanc happens on St Athanasius’ feast day because it’s Adrien’s 5th name day (saddling a kid with 4 wasn’t enough, Gabriel?). Catholics celebrate it on May 2, and France is Catholic. If you google the feast day it’ll tell you january 18th (the byzantine one), which is why i made part 2, but well, France isn’t Greek. lol. It also probably looks more similar to the one on the Wiki, except mine blends s1 and 2. (btw love how the wiki said screw you to canon and wrote it out year by year.) Some watching orders would naturally be shuffled around but no way in hell am i writing that all out.
The usual logic applies. (As in “the writers/animators won’t do X so therefore Y doesn’t have to apply”.)
Emilie coma: June 2015. Because in origins, Adrien defied his father to make it to school, as if his mother’s (more recent) disappearance had put fresh determination and angst in him.
S1+s2: Sept 2015 to June 2016. Marinette turns 14 late 2015, Octoberish. Chronology messy, seasonal weather nonexistent, some season 1 and 2 episodes are next to each other. exhibit a: dark cupid. Snow magically appears in the christmas special (Dec 2015) where it’s adrien’s first christmas without mum, and doesn’t show up ever again (it’s gone by dark cupid). Heroes’ day could be any day since it’s nonexistent irl, thus, June.
Shanghai: June 2016. (according to thomas there may or may not be overlap with the start of season 3). Since they’re still in the same school year and France finishes slightly later in July.
S3: July 2016 to June 2017. Cat Blanc: 2 May. Felix arrives after this on the second anniversary of Emilie, not the first. (Maybe it's 100 weeks to make it closer to cat blanc). Lady Noir makeout sometime after the 2017 new year, which makes them more logically couple of the 2017 year. (I’ll bet Alya voted for that 49,000 times.) Marinette turns 15 late 2016.
New York: June 2017. Miss Bustier announces she’s preggers and from there remains amazingly flat-bellied. irl that can actually happen lol. Mr Pigeon 51 happens, and from then on probably gets akumatised twice a day.
S4: July 2017 to April 2018. I chose July since Marinette’s shown riding off after school with Luka early on, which could finish early July, then as Marinette’s frantically talking to Alya in her Ladybug suit she mentions it’s holidays. So it could be summer holidays. Also Miss Bustier’s had the baby in March.
Ephemeral can actually be anywhere, really, but for poetic reasons i kept it around the 3 year mark. Initially, Gabriel says “100 weeks”, but given that this is now impossible (hem hem nevermind within the show itself lol), that means i can pick any date i want. unless we want to make it 3 years, which is 156 weeks, but that doesn’t quite roll off the tongue. 150 weeks would make it in at least April. Marinette is now 16 (from late 2017) and quite old enough for a boyfriend by now (heheh).
This time frame also accomodates Qilin’s ‘more than a month late for Mother’s day’, placing it near the start of the season (but after Mr Pigeon because protective charms) and not near the end. Also makes room for Dearest Family’s January 6 setting for King’s day. Therefore watch order is still a little shuffled.
Total passage time between origins and end s4: 31 months.
i by no means expect them to continue with s5 in a way that lets me keep this (bahahaha hell i’m already going outside ‘canon’ to write this). As the seasons go on, we can expect more of these timelines to appear. If/when Miss Bustier ever gives birth, i’m going to disregard it just like they disregard other things.

Things Yizhan Made Me Do
It's BXG Day today! 🐢💛
To commemorate the occasion, I thought of making a list of 13 out-of-character things that I've done since falling into the fandom. (OK I'm a bit late I meant to do this sooner, the day is ending soon in a couple of hours).
Tumblr media
1. Start a blog
And a public one, no less. I had a blog when I was in my teens but that was private, like a personal diary. My day job already involves writing so off-work I would usually like to indulge in mindless activities. Now, here I am, maintaining a Yizhan blog. I have not even used Tumblr prior to this but I'm enjoying it now, rambling about our fav boys. Writing is not a chore if it's about them.
2. Join a fandom
I joined a boy band fan club once upon a time, some 15 years ago, but I was never as invested in it as I am now with Yizhan. Back then it was just buying some merch, attending their concert/autograph sessions, listening to their songs. Apart from work, dog mum duties, personal relationships, other hobbies like kombucha brewing, most of my free time is now spent on the fandom. My Netflix account is crying. There is just so much to do and catch up on (I'm not complaining). I also enjoy interacting with and learning from other bloggers here. Antis are no fun and some industry news/developments/hate messages are upsetting but ultimately, you curate your own fandom experience. And I choose positivity and rationality.
3. Indulge in RPS
I don't ever 'ship'. What is 'ship'? 😆 I was always a dutiful audience, just enjoying whatever drama series and moving on after that. I started with CQL like most people and I didn't even notice/like GGDD until much later. Didn't even set out to 'ship' anyone but now I'm a self-professed turtle. SZD is SZD, and anyone can see something special between them if you keep an open mind. I wrote about my SZD reasons here previously. That said, GG & DD are individuals, each with their own successful careers. They come first, the ship comes second. That I'm very clear of.
4. Use Chinese apps
Gosh, my phone and tablet are now full of Chinese apps. I used to have only WeChat cos I needed it for work but now I have Weibo, Oasis, Douyin, WeTV, MangoTV, Youku, etc. Some of them are not even available in the app store so I had to find alternative sources to download them. haha..I even have paid membership for some of these apps. And now, browsing Weibo daily becomes a routine. If you wish, you can just get stuck browsing Weibo for a long long time. It's entertaining.
5. Read fan fic
I only started about 6 months ago but now I'm hooked and fics are largely the only thing I read these days, apart from news. But I only read Yizhan or WangXian fics (p.s. calling for fic recs of other pairings!) I know some might have different feelings about fan fics but to me, I really just see them as fiction, with characters (and sometimes traits) bearing similarities to GGDD. Similarly, I separate the platform from the incident so I have no problems going to A03 despite GG's incident. I just enjoy seeing the characters named XZ/WYB having happy endings in many different timelines and universes. While most of the fics I read are explicit (by design), I don't use them as tools to play out certain fantasies or to think of GGDD in a sexual manner. In fact, I really hate fics that have little substance and just go into the explicit parts without plot development. I like those with interesting premises too, like one I read recently where XZ is a serial killer and WYB is a police officer investigating the case but also in love with him. I do have plans to share my list of fav fan fics some time down the road so keep an eye out for it!
6. Willingly read Chinese
Yes, Chinese may be my mother tongue but I don't use it much in daily living unless I have to. I also find it tedious to read Chinese cos the characters are just so squashed together. If I have a choice, I will always pick English. But now, I read so much Chinese from my daily weibo browsing. I even read fan fics in Chinese! Who am I? On the plus side, I think my Chinese comprehension and translation skills improved. I also picked up some internet lingo used by Chinese netizens, which are pretty interesting like doi, 🐮🍺, 🖍. My all-time fav is yyds.
7. Act like a cougar
In real life, I have always maintained that younger men are childish. At least those I have encountered. But look at me now, fangirling over two younger men (I am closer in age to GG, but still..). I even jokingly call them my 'China Boyfriends'. I look at them very respectfully most of the time.
8. Buy merch
Seriously, once you start, you can't stop. At least that was what happened to me, although I'm still quite selective when it comes to supporting their endorsements. I usually go for consumables like food, cosmetics vs collectibles cos I'm more practical. Also, GG says to support their merch within reasonable means so that's what I'm doing. Just buying things that I'm interested to try and not because it has their faces or names slapped on it. In a way, this suits me cos I like trying new brands and stuff anyway.
9. Keeping a Yizhan archive
Photos, weblinks, videos, songs, fan fics list..my phone is full of these things now. I think my Yizhan photo gallery is only second to the folder with my dogs' pictures. But how can you resist when we are blessed with new pics of them almost every week?
10. Camp for livestreams
I'm lucky I live in the same time zone as the boys so I don't have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to watch something. But that's the thing, being in the same time zone sometimes make me feel like I HAVE to watch that thing live because, why not? Why wait? Not shy to admit that I once watched a live programme in the middle of work but I made sure I finished what needed to be done. I think so long as we don't let these livestream schedules run our lives, there's no harm in camping for them.
11. Watch c entertainment
I am one of those who used to pass over Chinese productions, simply because it's a Chinese production. Not in a scoffing manner but I'm just genuinely not interested in them nor the celebs. I was more of a US/UK production kind of person, occasionally Korean/Japanese. Now, I'm learning to enjoy them although I just watch those with GGDD in them. No energy to follow other Chinese celebs anyway. The other programme I'm contemplating watching even if it doesn't have them in it is Who's the Murderer (GG was only in one of the cases) cos I like the premise. On the flip side, now my sis and partner keep making fun of me cos to them, all I do now is "watch China shows". That is so not true. Or is it?
12. Write fan mail
I wrote a letter to GG once. A long-ass letter. I hope he read it. That's all I'm gonna say. 🙈 hahahahaha
13. Desire to visit China
China was never on my list of to-visit places. Just wasn't interested. I have been to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou a few times in the past for work but even then, I never felt the urge to revisit for leisure. Now, I wanna visit GG and DD's home town, visit Chongqing to see the graffiti wall with Bobii Zanbii on it, eat mala hotpot and try out their sauce recipe, attend BXG events, dine at the CQL restaurant... Watching TTXS also made me realise that there are many beautiful places in China with natural landscapes and all that. I used to be clouded by my disdain for the regime and some behaviour of its citizens but now, I recognise that the country is separate from the regime or a smaller group of poorly behaved citizens. China is a beautiful country and I would love to visit some day. I will fly over immediately on my own if someone gives me tix to ADLAD!!
Well, I hope some of these things resonate with you. Feel free to share the OOC things that Yizhan made you do.
Once again, Happy BXG Day! 🐢💛🐆🐇🐷🌶🦁🍑🐶🍍🛹🎋

Miraculous: Rise of Anatis 65
So this is more focused on the fallout of the last chapter and how Luka is still unsure about who he is. As you can imagine, this will be haunting him for a while. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this one :D The next chapter will be Feast, which will be exploring Fu's past and it will force Luka to face that he will have to come to terms with the fact that he is the next reincarnation of Feng.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter Sixty-Five: Backwarder (1/2)
~Modern Day London, England~
Marianne frowned to herself as she watched the news. It was doing a special on the events that were happening over in Paris and the young heroes who were trying to protect it. Some argued that the government should arrest these heroes but most agreed that they were trying to help, especially since the boy had the power to fix everything that had been damaged. The world had learnt of his powers when he restored New York and Shanghai after the cities had been attacked by rampaging supervillains. She had decided to look into it after that but she wasn't sure if she would interfere just yet. After all, she had no miraculous and she was out of practice with her magic. Age had caught up with her unfortunately. She frowned to herself as she thought about the past. She had been quite the talented witch when she was younger and it lead her to meet someone who had opened her eyes to more then just her world. She glanced over at her phone as it rung. She carefully got up and hobbled over to it, picking it up.
 "Hello," She asked.
"Hey, Auntie Marianne," A cheerful voice answered, making her smile.
"Bridgette, my dear, it's good to hear from you," She smiled, taking the phone to the sofa so she could sit down. "How is Felix?"
"Which one?" Bridgette laughed, making Marianne laugh. "Well, my husband Felix is doing well. Bit shaken up about been sent back to the victorian era but overall he's ok. As for my step nephew, he's currently spending his summer at his mother's but will be back a week before the kids go back,"
"Back to the victorian era?" Marianne asked, frowning.
"Oh yes. There was an akuma and sentimonster that was sending people back in time," She explained, making Marianne frown. "Luckily, Anatis and Lady Noir saved the day but these days it's getting tiresome,"
"Oh that doesn't sound very good at all," She replied, making Bridgette giggle a little.
"We can blame Hawkmoth for that," She replied before clearly her throat. "So I thought I'd phone to give you an update on you know what,"
 "My dear, I have mo-"
"He comes to the Seine every friday at 2pm and stays for an hour," She stated, making Marianne frown. "I've talked to him. He seems nice and I think he wishes you and him could have elope... why don't you try and talk to him? He misses you..."
"I don't know, dear..." She replied, frowning as she thought back to the last time she saw Fu. They hadn't parted on the best terms.
~Paris, WW2~
Marianne ran fast as she and Fu ran down the stairs and headed towards the Seine. They had arranged a boat out of Paris and to the boarder in order to get the miracle box out of the country. Somehow, the german forces had found out about it and wanted to claim it as their own. Marianne suspected that it was to do with the Yǐnshēnyǐnbì were behind it. They were a cult devoted to finding a legendary figure known as the celestial guardian. They wanted to use this person to rule the world. She had heard from her contacts that they were also looking for any miraculous in the world. They had raided multiple countries in order to find them including Japan and Africa. That was why they were running. Somehow, they had found out that a miracle box was in Paris. Since she was part of a coven who helped the resistance, she had lent her magic to help them. It had led her to meet a man called Fu who was the current guardian of the famed Miracle Box. She had been charged by her coven to help and guard him from the enemy. In the time that had passed, they had developed a friendship that soon turned to love but before either could admit their feelings, they received a tip off that their location had been betrayed. Pulling every favor she had, she had secured him a place on a boat that would take them out of Paris. However, it was never in her nature to run away. As they got closer to the boat, she stopped.
"Wait!" She stated, making him stop. "We have to fight, Fu! Let's use the miraculous! I'll take the Ladybug and you use the Black Cat!"
"But what if we fail? They'll get the box and it will be the end of the world!" He gasped, making her frown. She could understand where he was coming from. However, she was knocked out of her thoughts when he grabbed her hand. "Come with me. We'll be safe in England,"
He went to run with her but running away was not her nature. She pulled her hand from his, making him look at her in surprise.
"Marianne?" He asked, looking at her with concern. "We have to go,"
"Leave without me," She stated, surprising him. "I'd rather stay and resist... even without the miraculous..."
Fu gasped as she looked away. He knew she was a natural witch but even with her magic, she wasn't powerful enough to face guns. The miraculous could protect her but he also knew they could fail. He frowned to himself before taking off a charm and placing it in her hand.
"This will protect you," He whispered, making her look at him. "I hope one day to come back for it and for you,"
"Fu..." She whispered as he closed her hand.
"I'll be here every week waiting for you," He replied, making her look at him but before they could say anything, a spotlight highlighted them, making them gasp as the german forces shouted. Fu looked at her before letting go of her and running towards the boat. Marianne could see soldiers running after him so she used her magic to cast a spell to make it look like she had the miracle box before running off as fast as she could as they chased her...
 ~Back to Modern Day~
"Auntie?" Bridgette's voice snapped her out of her thoughts before she sighed. "Are you ok?"
"I'm quite ok, dear," She replied, thinking about things. She had never really been angry at Fu for running away. The german forces were dangerous and cruel. She had witnessed their cruelty firsthand but it was never in her nature to run away from a fight. It just wasn't who she was but maybe after all these years, she could find some peace. She could finally go to Fu and make up with him. Maybe even help him with this new villain. She knew it had to be him who activated the heroes and he said he would wait for her. "You know I think it might be time I came to visit,"
"Really?" Bridgette gasped, clearly happy. "That will be wonderful! Felix will be happy to see you too, Auntie,"
"I'll be happy to see you both as well," She smiled before they started to arrange when she come by. Within an hour, Marianne had her ticket booked for Paris. She couldn't help but smile as she was finally ready to see Fu again. Hopefully, he would still feel the same way he did all those years ago.
 ~Paris, A Couple of Days Later~
Anatis sighed as he sat on top of the Eiffel tower. The wind was blowing through his hair and his eyes were closed as he listened to the song of the city. It was a mix of emotions ranging from fear to joy and everything inbetween. However, it was hard to focus when he wasn't sure what to do anymore. Since finding out he was the reincarnation of Hao Feng, he found life more troubling then before. True to his word, Feng hadn't contacted him yet but finding out the truth came with a new set of issues. For one thing, he no longer knew who he was. He had always believed he was just Luka but he wasn't sure. Was Luka just a mask he was wearing just like Anatis? And was that why Issac was so abusive towards him? Did he somehow know Luka was the reincarnation of an ancient mage? He sighed and moved his fingers through his hair, opening his eyes. Just who was he anymore? He frowned as he sensed someone behind him, causing him to look at him. Luckily, it was just Lady Noir. She gave him a soft smile and sat next to him.
"You ok?" She asked, making him sigh. He didn't even answer but she knew. "Want to tell me about it?"
"I.. I don't know who I am anymore..." He admitted, making her frown before he sighed. "I'm so confused. I thought finding out what my connection to Feng was would give me answers but all I recieved is more questions..."
"You found out your connection?" Lady Noir asked, making him frown. He had forgotten he hadn't told her. Luckily, she was good and hadn't pushed him, despite how he was feeling. "Was that why you were upset after meeting him?"
He nodded, making her shuffle close to him and wrap her arms around him. He instantly hugged back, hiding his face in her shoulder. She really had been his rock recently and he wanted to tell her. He just didn't know how plus she might see him differently. He gently pulled away, making her look at him as she gently moved the hair from his eyes.
"Want to tell me about it?" She asked, making him frown a little. "You don't have to if you-"
"You'll see me differently..." He muttered in a small voice, making her frown before she gently took his hand in hers.
"No matter what it is, I'm not going to see you differently," She stated, making him look at her. He searched her features for any sign of lying but all he saw and feel was sincerity. "You're my best friend, Annie and that is not going to change,"
"You're my best friend too, Kitty," He whispered, moving his forehead to hers. She smiled and closed her eyes as he linked their fingers together. For a moment, they stayed like that until Anatis carefully pulled away, making Lady Noir open her eyes. He gave her a soft smile and kept their fingers linked. "Ok... I'm going to tell you..."
"Alright," She nodded as he took a deep breathe.
"As you know, Feng and I have a connection. Something that I seem to share with Toutai as well," He replied, making her nod. He had told her that he had a vision of him during Miracle Queen's control. "And I also knew what the Renlings were and who Meishi was despite never meeting them before... well... the reason is... I'm... I'm the reincarnation of Feng..."
Lady Noir went completely quiet as he said, making him worry. However, her emotions told him that she was true to her word. She still cared for him but she was shocked. He didn't blame her. He had been shocked too. Hell, even two weeks later, he still shocked. Lady Noir frowned and looked at him.
"Are you sure?" She asked, making him nod.
"Feng confirmed it..." He muttered, not wanting to go into detail on how he found out. "That's kind of why I knew stuff in Shanghai... I knew them before I had already met them as Feng... but since finding out... I'm more confused then ever. The only thing I've found is I can read the journal if I use my silver eyes... but there's still blank pages and what I've read doesn't really make sense,"
"Have you had any dreams with Feng recently?" She asked, making him shake his head.
"I asked him to leave me alone..." He admitted, looking down as he freed his hands from hers. He began to play with his hands before he looked over at her. "I'm not sure what to think anymore and I don't know who I am. I believed I was this person all my life only know I find that I'm the vessel of someone else..."
"Anatis, I don't know who you are under the mask but I know that you are definitely your own person," She reassured, making him feel a little better. "Are you going to talk to Feng at some point?"
"Yeah..." He muttered, looking over to the skyline. "I just don't know what to say to him. I'm kind of mad as to why he didn't tell me straight away but I kind of understand why he didn't. For one thing, I might not have believed him and he said I wasn't ready. I think he was right. I'm not ready,"
"Maybe not but you'll take it in your stride regardless," She stated, making him look at her. "You're amazing after all and when you feel like you're not ready or that you'll fail then remember that it was you who saved the city from princess justice and broke out of miracle queen's control without Koro's power so whatever Feng is going to teach you, you're gonna master it like the pro you are,"
"Thanks, Kitty," He smiled as she held up her hand. He took it and smiled at her.
"Whatever the future holds, I'm always going to be by your side," Lady Noir stated, making him smile a little more. "Me and you against the world, Annie,"
"As always, Kitten," He replied as they pulled away. "I feel better,"
"I'm glad," She smiled, gently nudging his arm. "Want to do a team up patrol?"
"Sure," He smiled, jumping up as she grinned. "Or maybe we should have a race again?"
"Ooh, you challenging me, bug boy?" She asked, grinning. "What's the stakes?"
"Last one to Sacré-cœur has to buy ice cream for both of us," He declared, making her grin. He smirked back before letting himself fall of the Eiffel Tower. Lady Noir gasped as he fell.
"That's cheating!" She shouted, diving after him and extending her baton as he threw out his yoyo, laughing as he did. She couldn't help but smile as he laughed. She missed it. She jumped across the roofs, keeping up with him as they ran across the rooftops. Anatis pushed himself off a ledge, diving up in the air as he did. Lady Noir jumped after him, joining him before they both landed on the building at the same time. Lady Noir grinned as she turned to him. "It was a draw... so who buys the ice cream?"
"Hmm... well I suppose I could," He smiled, making her smile a little. "But you get it next time deal?"
"Or I could get some nice baked food from our favorite bakery?" She grinned, making him smile a little before she looked at him. "You sure you're ok with buying? I don't mind getting them this time,"
"Ah but I lost," He replied, making her look at him. "Don't get me wrong... it was close but you touched the building before me,"
"How on earth did you notice that?!" She gasped, making him laugh.
"I'm observant," He replied, grinning as he sat down.
"My name is Andre! Andre Glacier! The Sweetheart Matchmaker!" Andre sung out, causing the two heroes to look over at him. "With one scoop or two, I'll find love for you with magical ice cream flavour!"
"Looks like Andre's setting up shop here today," Lady Noir grinned, making Anatis smile before the two of them jumped down and landed on the street as he continued singing. A few people stared at the two heroes but Andre grinned happily as soon as he saw them.
"Anatis! Lady Noir!" He grinned as they got to the top of the que. "So good to see you, my friends,"
"It's nice to see you too, Andre," Anatis smiled as Lady Noir grinned. "Can I have two ice creams please?"
"Of course you can!" Andre grinned, taking out a cone. "For you, a choice always so hard. Which side to choose?"
He leaned in carefully so no one else could hear.
"The hero or the bard?" He asked, winking at Anatis before he straightened up. "Both sides love a girl so true so I shall make an ice cream for you. Strawberry for the pink she loves, blackberry for her hair and blueberry for her skyblue stare,"
He handed Anatis the ice cream before turning to Lady Noir and smiling at her.
"Hmm..." He picked up his scoop and fresh cone. "Vanilla for his gentle nature, Cherry for his strong disguise and of course bubblegum for his kind but fun eyes,"
"Thanks, Andre," Lady Noir grinned, taking her ice cream. "How much do we owe you?"
"On the house, my friends!" He grinned, making them both protest but he shook his head. "You two do enough for the city so let Andre give you some free ice cream as a thank you,"
The two of them looked at each other before smiling.
"Thank you, Andre," Anatis stated as Lady Noir nodded as well. The two of them waved at him before jumping off and finding a place to sit on the rooftops. They sat and ate the ice cream together. Lady Noir couldn't help but notice that Anatis' ice cream basically showed Marinette. She giggled as he happily ate his.
"Still got a thing for the baker's daughter eh?" She grinned, wiggling her eyebrows. He looked at her for a second before smiling shyly.
"Can you blame me?" He asked, looking at his ice cream. "She's so kind and amazing. How could I not like her?"
Lady Noir quickly hid her face as she blushed so he didn't see it but he was too busy smiling to himself with a lovestruck but adorable smile. Feeling like her face wasn't burning up to much, she looked back as he glanced at hers.
"So yours seem to resemble me a little?" He asked, trying not to be too obvious. "I mean I'm guessing that. It probably isn't,"
"Of course, it is," She grinned before licking a bit of her spoon. "Hmm. You taste delicious... especially for a guy who's over 5000 years old!"
"Hey!" He gasped before they both burst out laughing. "You know I'm not 5000 years old,"
"You sure?" She grinned, making him lightly push her arm as she giggled. "I might not know your exact age but I'm pretty certain you're not 5000 years old,"
"Well, that's good to know," He grinned, finishing his ice cream before the two of them looked over at the Seine. However, Anatis blinked as he noticed a familiar figure taking a seat next to Mr Ramier. He tapped Lady Noir's arm, making her look at him as he pointed. "That's Master Fu right?"
"Yeah, it is," She gasped, looking over. "Should we go say hi?"
"Probably not a good idea," Anatis replied, making her nod. "Wonder what he's doing,"
"It looks like he's feeding pigeons and talking to Mr Ramiers," She replied before looking at him with a mischievous look. "Maybe... we should get a little closer and see what he's doing,"
"I don't know, Kitten," He muttered, feeling a bit curious. "Spying on him feels... is he looking for someone?"
"Hm?" She asked, looking in Fu's direction before raising an eyebrow at Anatis.
"Look, he's glancing around like he's expecting someone," He replied, gesturing to him. Master Fu was glancing around as if looking for someone but he sighed and shook his head before getting up and walked off. Anatis looked at Lady Noir before the two of them got up and jumped over, landing on the ground near the bench Master Fu had been sat on. Mr Ramiers looked over as they walked over, smiling as he did.
"Lady Noir, Anatis. How wonderful to see you!" He smiled, making them smile back as Anatis glanced around. "Is something wrong?"
"We're concerned for the man who just talking to you," Lady Noir replied, making Mr Ramiers look confused. "We just happened to be going by and noticed he looked upset so we wanted to make sure there were no akumas around. The solution to them is prevention after all,"
"Oh, I see," Mr Ramiers nodded. "Well, Mr Chang comes here every week. He talks to me, feeds the pigeons and we chat about the past. He mentioned he was waiting for his beloved whom he made a promise to,"
"His beloved?" Anatis asked, looking over as Mr Ramier nodded.
"A woman called Marianne," He replied before sighing. "They were together during the war but fate pulled them apart. He had no choice but to leave for London while she was forced to remain. He said he gave her a pin with the chinese symbol for love on it and that he told her that he would wait for her in the place they departed all those years ago but I don't think you need to be worried about him been akumatized. He's been waiting for years and she still hasn't turned up. I think he's use to the rejection but holds on to the hope that she'll be here,"
"How romantic," Lady Noir gasped as Anatis glanced around before turning back to Mr Ramier.
"Well, thank you for your help but we need to continue patrol," He stated, causing Mr Ramier to nod. "If you do spot any akumas, please log it in the app and we'll be back here in a flash,"
"Of course, Anatis," Mr Ramier smiled, tipping his hat. "It's good to know we have you two watching over us,"
"it's our honor to," Anatis smiled before he threw his yoyo and pulled himself onto a building before Lady Noir jumped after him, leaving to check on Paris for the rest of the day.
 ~One Week Later~
Luka hummed to himself as he played his guitar before a small chill filled the air, making him frown as he came to a stop. He glanced over at Tikki, who was dancing to one of Clara Nightingale's videos and didn't seem to notice. He put down his guitar and got up, heading out of his room. Juleka was sat watching a horror film, making him shiver a little. He was never a fan. He frowned as he made himself a sandwich before eating it and heading back to his room. Once again, he felt the chill.
"Something isn't right," He muttered, sitting back down. He picked up his guitar and played for a few more minutes before noticing Wayzz at the porthole. He opened it and let him inside. "Wayzz, what's wrong?"
"Luka, you must come with me right away!" He gasped, making Luka frown. "Master Fu needs you,"
"Lead the way, Wayzz," He replied, putting his guitar aside and pulling on his shoes. He turned off the computer and scooped up Tikki, gently placing her in his pocket before heading outside with Wayzz hiding in his hood. Juleka gave him a strange look as he walked through the living area. "Just heading out,"
"Um.. ok?" She asked as he climbed the stairs and out onto the deck. He grabbed his bike and moved it across the gangplank before he got his bike and rode to Master Fu's. When he got there, he headed straight up into Master Fu's apartment, knocking on the door as he did. He walked inside, frowning as he saw a doctor talking to Master Fu.
"Um... is everything ok, Grandpa?" He asked, making her look over and smile in a reassuring manner.
"Don't worry, young man," She smiled, turning back to Fu. He was laid on his mattress with his blanket across him. He looked paler then usual. "Your grandfather just needs rest. He's gotten a bit of a cold. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be too bad but he's not a young man anymore. I keep telling him to be careful but he is stubborn,"
"I am quite fine, doctor," Master Fu gasped, trying to get up before coughing. The doctor shook her head and pushed him back.
"Mr Chan, you need rest," She ordered. "Close up shoe and take a day off. Doctor's orders,"
"Does he need anything?" Luka asked, making her shake his head.
"I've already dropped off his meds. The best thing he can do is rest and drink plenty of fluids," She replied, making Luka nod. "Of course, if he does get any worst, phone 112,"
"Right, thank you doctor," He smiled as she got up and left. He closed the door and grabbed Master Fu's kettle, filling it up with water and putting it onto boil. He went through Master Fu's herbs, finding dried rosemary and sage before adding it to a tea strainer. Once the water had boiled, he put it in and left it to stew as he looked for a cup and honey. Once he found one, he poured the tea and stirred the honey into it before placing it down next to Master Fu. "How are you feeling?"
"N-not great but I need to go to the Seine today," He gasped, carefully sitting up and sipping the tea. "I've been going there every week for years. What if today is the day and I miss her because I'm ill?"
"You need rest, Master," Luka replied, causing Fu to look at him. He knew Fu was stubborn so he sighed. "What if I went? If I see her, I could pass on a message. Maybe help you two meet again,"
"That's actually not a bad idea," Master Fu replied, trying to get up again but ended up coughing. Luka frowned and made him rest again as he pointed. "In the draw... there is a letter... I wish for you to give it to her... hopefully it will tell her that how much I love her..."
"Ok, Master. I'll deliver it," Luka replied, opening the drawer and taking out the letter. "Who I am looking for?"
"A very beautiful woman with a pretty brooch shaped like a chinese ideogram," He ordered, making Luka nod. "Her name is Marianne Lenoir,"
"Ok, Master," He nodded, putting in his pocket. "You rest and I'll take care of this,"
"Thank you, Luka," He smiled as Wayzz floated next to him. "But please be careful... I know this might sound paranoid but if people realize you're connected to Mr Chan, Hawkmoth might put two and two together,"
"And realize I'm Anatis and you're the guardian," Luka nodded, smiling. "Don't worry, Master. I'll be careful. Wayzz, look after him until I've returned,"
"I will do, Luka," Wayzz replied before Luka got up and made his way downstairs. He got back to his bike and unlocked it as Tikki poked her head out.
"That's really sweet of you," She smiled, making him smile back. "Why don't you write a letter to Marinette so you can confess to her?"
"Well, me and Marinette are... kind of dating?" He asked, frowning a little. Now that he thought about it, he didn't really know if they were. Sure, they had been on some 'dates' but they could also be seen as something friends do. Tikki looked at him with a look. "But I guess the only time I've mentioned actually loving her is when I was high from that magical backlash or as Anatis... maybe I should write her a letter,"
"I'm sure whatever you do, it will be amazing," She grinned, making him smile as they came to the Seine. He got off his bike and locked it up before taking off his jacket so he was just wearing his hoodie. He put his jacket in the basket and closed it before putting his hood up and looking around. He noticed a old woman sat, watching the Seine while talking to Mr Ramier. He moved a bit closer and noticed a brooch with the chinese ideogram on it, meaning this must be the woman. He decided to put down his sleeves to hide his bracelets and zipped up his hoodie before he carefully walked over as Mr Ramier got up and moved over to the pigeons.
"Excuse me, are you Ms Lenoir?" He asked, making her look at him.
"Yes, that's me," She replied with a puzzled look. The same chill he got earlier surrounded them, making him look around as he frowned. "Are you ok?"
"Hm... Oh, sorry, ma'am... I just... it's nothing," He smiled, taking out the letter. "This is for you. I was asked to deliver... from a mutal friend we share..."
"Oh," She smiled, taking it from him. "Thank you so much... but why did he not deliver it himself?"
"He's came down with a cold, Ma'am," He stated, making her look worried before he held up his hand. "But he'll be ok. I've got him resting and drinking tea,"
"I see," She nodded, looking at the letter. "Thank you for delivering this to me, young man,"
"No worries, Ma'am," He smiled. "It was lovely to meet you,"
"Likewise," She replied, opening the letter as Luka walked away. He began to walk up the stairs before the feeling in the air suddenly shifted, making him stop and frown. He quickly turned around as Marianne dropped the letter and looked down. He rushed back down and over to her as she stood up.
"Ms Lenoir?" He asked as she frowned. "What's wrong?"
"He doesn't love me anymore..." She whispered, making Luka frown. "All these years... I left it too late... I should have told him how I felt back then and now I've wasted all this time... coming here has been for nothing..."
"No, I'm sure he loves you," Luka gasped, picking up the letter but she had walked off, making him frown. He opened the letter and read it, frowning as he read it inside. It wasn't a bad letter but it definitely didn't scream love. If anything, it was Master Fu rambling about regrets and how things can't be changed. Luka frowned as at the end of the letter, it did say I love you but clearly Marianne had taken it the wrong way. He turned to tell her that at the end there was a confession but she was stood still on the stairs, making him frown. "Mrs Lenoir?"
"Thank you for giving me a second chance, Hawkmoth," She suddenly stated before the purple smog engulfed her and turned her into an akuma. This one had a clock theme by the look of it. She turned around and pointed her blade at him. "You! It was brave of you to deliver that coward's words but now you'll lead me back to him,"
She jumped at him but he dived out of the way and jumped over the wall, running up the stairs as she growled. She went to go after him but to her surprise, Mr Ramier grabbed her arm.
"Leave the poor boy alone!" He gasped, making her growl and hit him with the tip of her cane, causing one of her cracks to disappear. "Enola yob roop eht evael,"
He let go off her and began to walk backwards as she jumped up and hit a car, sending it back as she glanced around. She growled before jumping away, causing Luka to look out from his hiding spot. He frowned to himself and rushed back down the stairs on the other side before hiding up the bridge. He glanced over as Mr Ramiers walked up the stairs backwards, leaving the area. Tikki flew out.
"Looks like it's time to fight," He stated, swiping his earrings. "Tikki! Spots on!!"
He transformed into Anatis and threw his yoyo, swinging out to the city and following the carnage left in her wake. He gasped as he saw a mother walking backwards and heading straight into the path of a car that was also going backwards. He swung over and pulled out of the car's path, landing in the park as he put her down. She continued to head backwards as Lady Noir landed next to him and rose an eyebrow.
"... She's going backwards?" She asked, making him nod.
"We have an akuma," He stated, making her frown. "She has the power to make them go back in time,"
"Oh yay... another time akuma," Lady Noir stated scastically. "So do we know what happened?"
"It's Master Fu's sweetheart," Anatis explained as they jumped up and landed on a roof, causing Lady Noir to look at him. "He asked me to deliver what was suppose to be a love letter but Ms Lenoir took it the wrong way and I think she thinks that Master Fu doesn't love her anymore and that it's too late,"
"That explains her powers," Lady Noir replied as they ran across the roofs. "Any idea where the akuma is,"
"It's in her brooch that resembles a chinese ideogram," He explained as they reached where she was. She was able to hit a young man on the ground. Anatis dived down and threw his yoyo, wrapping it around her sword and yanking it, stopping her from getting the man. He scrambled up and ran off as the two heroes landed on the ground, making the akuma glare at them. "Not so fast!"
"Ah, there you are, you ghastly bug!" She declared, pointing the cane at him. "Once I've touched you, all I have to do is wait for you to transform back,"
The purple butterfly mask appeared over her eyes as Hawkmoth talked to her.
"Not right now," She declared, making him. "First, I'll follow him back to the man who gave him those earrings. I bet he's been in contact with him and that awful boy recently,"
"Not good," Anatis replied, making Lady Noir look at him with a questioning look. "Um... I wasn't transformed when I gave her the letter,"
"What?!" She gasped, looking at him. Lucky, the akuma wasn't paying attention and was still talking to Hawkmoth about how she was going to make up for lost time. "Why?"
"I figured it was safer and would draw less attention," He explained, making Lady Noir nod as she could see where he was coming from. "I was wearing fairly plain hoodie that anyone could wear with the hood up! Watch out!"
He blocked the attack with his yoyo before Lady Noir dived at her, slamming her baton against her sword as Anatis jumped away.
"Either way, we can't let her touch me or the guardian or the miracle box won't be safe," He declared as the akuma got back up and charged at him, causing Lady Noir to block her attack. The two of them clashed swords, causing Anatis to throw his yoyo. It wrapped around her neck, causing him to spin her around and throw her into a lamp post. Lady Noir jumped at her but she tapped the lamp post with her cane, hitting her with it. Lady Noir felt to the floor and rolled out of the way as she tried to tap her with her cane before Anatis used his yoyo to throw metal fences at her. Seeing her chance, Lady Noir jumped up and moved away as Anatis threw a car towards her. She hit it with her cane, causing it to fly back at him. He backflipped away as Lady Noir used her baton to throw her into the Obelisk. He throw his yoyo around it and yanked, causing it to crack and fall towards her. However, the akuma sent it back too.
"Fools! You're wasting your time while I grow stronger," She explained before diving at them. Anatis blocked her attack as Lady Noir jumped away before she managed to trip him up, causing him to fall on the ground. "All I need is one hit then you can lead Backwarder to- urg!"
He kicked her cane up as Lady Noir slammed her baton into her, causing her to stumble forward and hit the rubbish bin with her cane, causing trash to fly at her, allowing Anatis to get up and jump away, causing Backwader to follow them. She landed down in the park and glanced around as she narrowed her eyes.
"You can run but you can't hide," She stated, looking around. "Why don't I show you what an old witch can do?"
"Did she just say she was a witch?" Lady Noir whispered from their hiding place. Anatis frowned as she began to draw something in the sand. He took out his yoyo and whispered for his lucky charm, catching the piping it gave him as Backwarder continued to make her spell before she jumped off. He glanced around, working out a plan before they stepped out. He stopped Lady Noir from walking on the spell before carefully making a cross near it, placing the pipe on it. He grabbed the string off a kite as she looked at it. It was glowing orange. "Um... that spell?"
"It's a fire rune," He explained, making her raise an eyebrow. "Feng knowledge,"
"Ah," She replied, making him smirk before he tied the kite string to the pipe. He handed the other side to Lady Noir.
"Tie that to your leg," He replied, making her nod and do so. "Ok for this to work, we're gonna have to get her to hit you... are you ok with that?"
"Well, it's not ideal but you'll be able to fix it with your lucky charm and I trust you," She grinned, making him smile. "So what you need me to do to make it work?"
"I need you to hold your hand out like this," He showed her, causing her to cope him. "Now step back until the string is tight then raise your hand and say Cataclysm backwards... it's msylcatac,"
"Msylcatac!" She declared, making him grin before he took out his yoyo and pressed a stop watch on it.
"Excellent," He replied, grinning. "Now pull it the pipe back to you,"
 She did so.
"Alright!" He grinned, making her grin back. "Follow me,"
"All the way, Annie," She grinned, running after him but been careful to avoid the spell that Backwarder had casted. They headed to where she was, causing her to aim at them. Anatis gave Lady Noir a wink as he jumped out of the way and she stepped in the path of Backwarder, causing her to get hit by the cane. He stopped the timer before he pressing the backwards option as Lady Noir began to go back in time. He jumped up and lead Backwarder in a chase, knowing she would go after him as Lady Noir made her way back to the point they were. He jumped on the ground and ran towards her. He jumped up as he came to the spell, causing Backwarder to hit it before he landed on the ground, pretending to hurt his ankle.
"Ouch!" He cried out as Backwarder jumped towards him over for him to backflip over her as Lady Noir kicked the pipe to her, causing Backwarder to trip and lose her balance. She stumbled towards Lady Noir as she lifted her hand.
"Cataclysm!" She called out, placing her hand forward as Backwarder stumbled towards her and straight into her charged hand, destroying the brooch.
"No!" She cried out as the butterfly escaped. Anatis throw his yoyo out and caught it before releasing the purified butterfly. He grabbed the pipe and threw it up in the air, declaring the magic words as it burst into the cure. It spreaded around Paris and Lady Noir before disappearing as she blinked and looked around. Backwarder turned back into her normal self as Lady Noir ran over to Anatis. "That was genius!"
"W-what happened?" Marianna asked as she looked around. Anatis walked over to her and helped her up, leading her to a seat. However, their miraculous beeped, causing them to rush off. Marianne looked down at the letter, frowning to herself. However, Luka ran back over. "Oh, you were the young man who gave me this. I hope I didn't scare you..."
"You didn't. I'm use to all of the akumas," He explained, making her look at him. "That's what happened to you, Ma'am. I think it was because of Master Fu's letter. I don't think he's much of a poet but he wanted you to know how much he loves you,"
"But he said it was too late and he wasn't there," She muttered, looking down. Anatis frowned as he saw tears in her eyes. "It doesn't matter..."
"Ma'am, it does matter," He gasped. "And he does love you,"
"That's nice of you to say but I know the truth," She smiled sadly. "Fu stopped loving me a long time ago,"
"He didn't," Luka replied, causing her to look up at him. "And I can show you if you want,"
"You can show me?" She asked as he sat down next to her. He held out his hand to her, making her blink before she slowly took it. As soon as she did, she felt a wave of love and care. In her mind's eyes, she could hear Fu saying about how he loved her and his regret of leaving her behind. Tears of joy filled her eyes as Luka gently pulled back, making her sniff. "I... he really does love me..."
"He never gave up," He replied, making her look at him. "He comes here every week, waiting for you with hope in his heart. The only reason why he didn't turn up today was because he's ill. That's why I delivered the letter for him. He wasn't sure if you would be here but he wanted you to know that he loved you and he regretted not trying to find you for years. That's what he meant by his letter,"
"Thank you for showing me that," She stated, looking at him. "I've never meant an empathic witch before,"
"I'm not a witch," He replied, making her raise an eyebrow. "I'm just... an empath,"
"I hate to break it to you, young man but normal empaths can only feel other's emotions," She replied, making him look at her. "Projection and vision sharing... which that comes under... is a witch ability, meaning you're a natural born witch,"
".... That makes sense..." He muttered, looking down. He didn't want to admit it but he knew he was. He was Feng's reincarnation, meaning he was a witch regardless of if he wanted to be or not. However, that doesn't mean he was ready to face it. "But I'm not... I can't face that yet so can we change the subject? Why don't I bring you to Fu? Or you could give me a message for him?"
"Very well," She smiled, making him nod. "But should you require a teacher, I would be happy to show you basic magic. After all, I'm a witch too,"
