Yeah it's what happens when you grow up traumatized bc people love to twist words on you to have a reason to hurt you

So now you talk with so much detail and speculation before they can even get to it, that the only thing people can argue with you on is you trying to confuse them for talking so much that they cant keep up or that "they're not going to read all that"

Just to get the sense of relief that you overexplained an argument to death to protect yourself from being accused of something you didn't say, even if it was way too much information or got a little off topic just to cover all bases

(But then being worried about being seen as a gaslighter even tho you're just going deeper than they expected and also not knocking what they're saying, just explaining how you see it

Because you were also raised and/or traumatized by gaslighters so you know they have similar methods like talking in circles to deny everything you say, which you know you aren't doing but you're afraid anyway of looking like you are).

Ahh...since always I think. I used to be on DeviantArt (I wasn't very good lmao) then at 20 I decided to be more serious and really learn. Or at least try. In 2018 I joined twitter then a year later I was in art school and it greatly improved my level. I graduated in 2021 but I never stopped studying. I still have troubles with the basics and my anatomy skills could be better (let's not mention my awful colours) but I do try, everyday to learn something new but first and foremost always have fun with art. Because if you're not enjoying what you're doing, what's the point ?

I ended up liking Fiammetta a lot more than expected, I generally like characters that seem stoic but are actually really emotional and they really nailed it with her.

I love how her face is usually a rock but she’s constantly bursting with anger at every moment.

I love how her operator files have the staff look at her and just go “This girl is really mentally ill” on what’s suppossed to be a physical check up.

I love how she would probably get along with Dusk because they both hate hollywood trash movies.

I just adore how she seeks revenge for an act that didn’t directly hurt her but instead hurt people close to her and she just eventually realizes that the people that were directly hurt have already forgiven the person responsable.

And most people would just think “Well if they forgive them why would I, who wasn’t even directly hurt be more angry than them” but even then she STILL can’t forgive it.

The fucking Pope and God could forgive Andoain and she would still not forgive him because this isn’t about religion or duty, this is about her sense of justice screaming for revenge over having to watch her crippled friend lose 8 years of her life and her other friend having to abandon her previous life.

It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t accomplish anything.

It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t make anything better.

It’s doesn matter if the direct victims don’t feel any better.

It doesn’t matter if this doesn’t help Laterano at all.

It doesn’t matter if this isn’t what the Pope or God want.

I also really like Andoain and how they build this parallel with him in which both of them are motivated at their core by an event in which people close to them were hurt and they were powerless to do anything about it, so they became obssesed with it, it was something that their own sense of justice deemed unforgivable, so they dedicated all of themselves to seek justice in their own way.

And there’s this layer of dishonesty to both in which Andoain clearly still loves Laterano and his old friends, when he’s still out of it he keeps saying that he does then immediately deniying it, but he refuses to admit to it because the path he needs to go through requires him to abandon all of that.

Fiammetta gives Andoain an opportunitty to apologize for everything he’s done, because she still cares for him, the reason she is this mad is BECAUSE she trusted in him and cared for him, but he won’t apologize because he considers all of it a part of his path towards making a greater good, so Fiammetta is gonna kill him.

So there’s this strong contrast between the person that had to destroy his own life, break the people around him to reach an answer to his obssesion and the person that had to deal with the weight of the broken pieces facing one another neither able to let go of their own obsession and see each other eye to eye.

The Last Wish and Eyes 👀

I feel like someone has pointed this out but I like the eyes and how the coordinate with relationships in this movie. Now the obvious is Puss and Death. Puss is scared of death and Death is after him so naturally

Their eyes are opposite to each other. Green contrast from red on the color wheel, but lime green or a bright green symbolizes confidence and high energy. It’s bright, it’s vibrant, it’s gonna stuck out.

Idk what connections to make with Death’s eyes other than the contrast thing. They are a bright red and they also stand out from his color palette and design. When you look at him, the brightest color you see is the red so you automatically look at his eyes.

Something else I notice was Kitty’s and Puss’s eyes

Kitty’s eyes are blue. A sky blue. Sky blue can represent freedom, peace and innocence. Honestly I tried to make the connections the same as Puss but some of these comparisons seem ironic. Yeah, Kitty is free but idk about feeling peace and she is not innocent lol. But another comparison is that they are similar to Puss. Kitty has her own main color being blue and she is her own character but blue and green are fairly similar. Plus they are both bright. These two are connected on some way, but they are separate from each other. Now with Perrito, he is kinda in the middle. His eyes I can’t tell at first, they seem more blue but also look like a light teal

And throughout some scenes we see of Perrito, it either looks more green or more blue or just a lighter shade.

I don’t wanna boil it down to just teal but the idea was that his eyes are some kinda teal; Teal is a mixture of blue and green. And the movie we see Perrito considered Puss and Kitty his best friends, he values both of them, he even named himself the Perrito, the name Puss gave him because he goes by whatever his friends call him. But I looked up what a light teal or just teal symbolizes and this was the first thing to pop up

Y’all, Perrito wants to be a therapy dog. That’s all I got.

About Fluffybird, what do you think about the ship? What is your opinion and analysis about the relationships between the two?

righto heheh let's crack into these chuddy Ds--

tldr; fluffybird is the purest ship and it would be great if it became explicitly canon

first of all, I think the creators shipped fluffybird before they saw all the fanart! Duck and Red Guy's interactions even in the webseries have sweetness, and can be perceived as a suggestion of romance. Though these interactions could be platonic as well, the possibility of romance is there, and that's all any slow-burn romantic storyline starts as. maybe one day i'll list those telling moments, but that's a lot of work. lol. Back to the creator's shipping, idk, that's just speculation, but I think they easily had a fondness for red guy and duck's brand of affection for each other.

There are random moments that are just so shippy. I think these have all been pointed out by other ppl. Duck painting Red Guy as Red Guy stands like that?

c'mon. The fact that they both want to be the dads? why put that idea in our heads? When red guy says his fav color is medium brown and duck's eyes are MEDIUM BROWN? I like to think that everything the creators have chosen to do is intentional and serves some kind of purpose other than comedic value... could be wrong there, but it's what I'd like to think. oftentimes the jokes have meaning behind them after all.

As for their dynamic, it is really interesting and nuanced! I don't rly see any hate between them, tho there ain't nothin wrong with liking the "divorced" dynamic. what I think is that they are made unaware of the feelings they have for each other. The 3 are constantly in a state of disorientation. I've seen people say that the fridge scene is one of the only times they get close to voicing their genuine thoughts and feelings without being controlled in some way, and I agree. however, when it comes down to it, duck displays great attachment to red guy, always looking at him for protection or initiative, wanting to be a family with him, etc. for red guy, well, we all saw what happened when duck died. he lost his damn mind, and he didn't expect to. it's like, as I said, he has feelings for duck that he isn't conscious of.

i have a bad silly theory that duck and red guy were in love and together before they became puppets or something lol. i dunno, it's possible for all we know.

now i want to address the arguments against having red guy and duck having a canon romantic relationship ((and it seems like very few people seem to have arguments! this fandom is fluffybird all over<3). it sucks, but i feel like most of these arguments are charged with homophobia or just romance shaming. romance is already present in the show, and it's all been cishet (superficially. B nice if chars came out as trans canonically? Lol). Yellow and Speshul One, Yellow and Clair. Regardless of context, romance is already present, and why does no one get upset about it? Because it's cishet, i'd argue. no one even notices it. now these are obviously satirical presentations which i thank god for, but it's still there.

we also already have tender moments between the three main guys. people might argue that 'why can't two guys just be friends?!?!' yeah, they can, and they are across 99% of media. is 99% of portrayals not enough? there is so little lgbtqia+ content that this argument is just ridiculous.

there's the argument that romance would 'ruin' the show somehow. sounds like an internalized problem to me tbh. adding romance wouldn't detract from the existing elements of friendship; it would embellish that, presenting a unique relationship that does not conform to the restrictive standards of society. (this would not be the case for a cishet romance, though I won't go into that.)

if people have a problem with fluffybird, I think they really gotta ask themselves why, really question where those feelings of discomfort are coming from. it's not like i'm asking for a nsfw scene. i think red guy and duck would have a romantic love language that is completely unique, like their confession to each other in the fridge scene. The way this show subverts tropes and makes things so weird, it would be so cool to see how it handles a genuine romance. I imagine it would be cuddly and lots of sweet words to each other, like what they do now but more explicit in that it is romantic love.

Okay I’ve always been curious about one thing pertaining to Stefan Bekowsky’s background— he was unfit for service, or at least the wiki claims that. While Cole comes off as possibly joking in the game, I can’t actually imagine another reason for Stefan not being drafted. So— what does it mean to be unfit for service?

Being unfit for service, or at least in WWII, meant that you were exempt from serving in the war. That’s putting it in simple terms and of course theres more nuance to be had, but here isn’t the time. This was because of physical, mental, morale, or educational reasons.

So I’m wondering, if anyone else believes Bekowsky was actually unfit for service, what do you think it was for?

Some of my thoughts after rereading the A3! prologue:

Resisting every urge to point out interesting things I'm noticing in A3EN's localization of the prologue with 3.5 more years of Japanese knowledge, this is a reading club, not a translation club

Why is this the only instance of pink text in the game? I think it's really funny how they highlighted important lines in pink here and then proceeded to never do that again

Logistically I know it was only done here as a way of introducing the player to things and it has no real place anywhere else in the story, but it's still funny

I love how you can tell from this very first interaction between Tasuku and Haruto, and then between Haruto and Tsuzuru, that Godza is a kinda messy environment behind the scenes

I think it's so interesting that Sakoda was able to get a permit for the backhoe? It's something so small but I think it's fun how we see here that he has the skill needed to safely operate heavy machinery even though he's often seen as someone who isn't good at much of anything, so it really just comes down to his life circumstances more than his actual ability (I mean the kid's just being taught to read at a third grade level, and it's not his fault)

Izumi's thoughts as she watches Sakuya perform hit different knowing about her own failures and experiences with theater

This line always, always gets me. Hard work alone doesn't amount to crap in this world. It never did for him. His mother worked so hard and yet they were poor, he worked hard and could never achieve his own goals... hard work never earned him anything. If it did, maybe he could've stood on this stage, too. Maybe Mankai wouldn't have reached this point. Maybe we wouldn't be here.

Honestly, everything here shows how much Sakyo loves Mankai and how hurt he is too

This conversation between Sakyo and Matsukawa is so much, they both care so much about the theater but Matsukawa is so desperately latching onto it while Sakyo has resigned himself to its fate, he's all but given up (just like he has on himself lol <- in pain)

Oh boy Yukio mention (the way he haunts the narrative is so much)

It's funny that Sakyo takes that jab at Matsukawa for wanting to lean on Yukio and count on him to single-handedly save Mankai, considering what he just said about hard work. If Yukio can't be relied on as the "savior" of Mankai (all the actors need to come back and everything needs to be the way it was before) and hard work alone won't do it either... he really has lost hope

Honestly I feel bad for Matsukawa here, knowing how he's been trying so desperately just to keep the troupe afloat for eight years even though it clearly hasn't been going well

Obviously there was no way to fit this into the English localization, but I love how Sakuya introduces himself and then tells Izumi how to spell his name in kanji because of the many different ways it can be written (花の咲くの咲也です！)

I also really appreciate Izumi as a character and how real she feels right from the very beginning, from her interest in theater to her hammy acting to her quick thinking skills

Matsukawa you've been at this for years... (also I'm curious about Izumi's old troupe)

I didn't care much for Sakuya when I first read this story, but knowing all that I do about him now, this is all so endearing... he's so sweet in how he's comforting Izumi and checking in on her (and his whole thing about not wanting to lose the troupe hurts)

I honestly think there's so much to be said about Masumi's character right from the beginning, like with him repeatedly asking how his acting was

Oh Masumi's line about just taking anyone hits so different in Japanese... Maybe I'm just not as good at picking up on certain types of slang and innuendo, but his wording is so much more... questionable in Japanese, that double meaning cannot be ignored.

Oh god I'm thinking about the A3 timeline again. I will once again try to push it back into the furthest depths of my mind because there clearly is no such thing as "time" in this universe and trying to figure it out has given me headaches before.

☆ INTRODUCTION ☆

i originally came up with the idea of a comic (working on a draft) of underswap chara on the surface, as i really hadn't came across any of those back in 2018.

just thought it'd be fun to put my own twist on underswap, and explore chara's character in-depth like other undertale aus have done with their frisks. i already brainstormed a lot of ideas so i'm geared and ready to go with all the information for this au!

first of all -- my username on socials is sirfrogerson. my art will be watermarked with that username, as this undertale au blog is a side blog! my main is here. i won't be extremely active-- this is just for fun and i'd love to share this au i've wanted to share for years. doing 13 year old me a lil favor, haha

yes i am 18, so i ask that even if i am practically an adult, please do not be weird. since this doubles as an ask blog as well, i won't answer not age appropriate questions. bare that in mind!

☆ WHAT IS THIS AU ABOUT? ☆

as mentioned in my pinned post-- this au is about chara's struggles on the surface. going by the theory of undertale chara having been a troubled kid (link is the "Who is The True Villain of Undertale?"), i kind of wanted to keep similar ideals with underswap chara. very much still troubled, and may not even favor humans. they fell underground for a reason they don't like talking about, and in general-- never speak of their problems.

this leads to an array of problems for them, often having moments of extreme anger and frustration when nobody understands them. they confide in sans and papyrus-- only because they feel the most comfortable knowing they burden their own secrets they won't tell anyone.

but, they don't just confide in the skeleton brothers-- they also confide in temmie. probably the worst choice of finding a friend to trust, but chara feels that temmie's really the only one that'll understand and not be biased. temmie knows most of their inner workings, and sometimes takes advantage of that just to mess with their life a little bit.

no harm done-- besides, it's not like temmie's killing their friends again. temmie just has some fun causing problems-- and quickly, temmie becomes a major problem later down the line.

it doesn't just focus on their problems and other people's problems-- it's also just the daily life of chara. chara having sleepovers at sans and papyrus (as they live currently with asgore). chara intends on mending the relationship between asgore and toriel, as asriel wants to help too.

they have big plans, though they are quite overwhelmed with all of them. getting monsters human rights so they can move to the human cities, going from home school into a public school, and having a job at muffet's.

this AU, TL;DR, is just about the underswap characters' lives on the surface, and the problems they face.

☆ OTHER INFO ☆

i will most likely not include outside AUS with this AU. simply for the purpose of keeping it confided with underswap, as it's the main focal point. just one AU. but i don't mind any crossovers or if people want to use my AU-- i just ask that i get credited for my version of underswap chara (the AU nickname i came up for them is tansy).

i will draw them interacting with other AU characters, either through doodles not connected to the story or through asks if people mention them or bring them in. that i'm chill with! i really like undertale AUs anyway :)

Probably Arranged Marriage in a Royal Setting, either as an AU or a story in general. I have read so many Webtoons with that premise, and though I might not stick with them all, often times I give them a try at least once.

One of the hard parts about Arranged Marriage stories is that they're often presented with a power imbalance between the couple, usually because one party is getting more out of the arrangement than the other. Sometimes one side wants the marriage but the other doesn't.

All sorts of things like that can make it very unhealthy, especially at the beginning when they don't know each other well. But I think my favorite kind of Arranged Marriage story is one where the two are on equal footing, but they still aren't fond of each other. They might not be at each other's throats all the time, but they keep their distance and they don't intend on closing it.

I think it's something about being in close quarters with someone, and letting these two characters see each other in their element, doing everything they've been raised to know and accomplish since they were children. They may not be friendly with one another, but it's hard not to admire the same consistency they try to maintain for people who are not their own, but whom they've adopted as if they were.

They're newlyweds, but it's as if they're freshly divorced. There's some burgeoning attraction there, but neither are willing to explore it in the name of duty and personhood. Because there's always that lingering fear that if they fall, there's no way they can crawl back up.

The worldbuilding in general is fascinating to me. How authors paint their landscape of warring kingdoms or shaking alliances is always so peculiar to me. There's many intricate details that need to be added to make this story believable, that you can see why these two characters were forced together and yet still found a way to care for each other.

Because they didn't have to like each other, in fact all the odds are stacked against in favor of them despising one another. And despite it all, there is something in each character that the other still admired and sought out and fell in love with. It's this very romantic idea that there is something in everyone that can be loved, and putting down your walls long enough to admit that you can love it too.

Did I just wax poetic about Arranged Marriages for 7 paragraphs straight? Yes, yes I did.

11- love and intimacy of course but not sure what separates it from friendship or familial love other than the choice to call it and feel it as romance ? for me at least. my experience is limited and weird. i know some people have a clearer barrier between romance and other forms of love but to me it's always felt like the barrier has to be mantained by us (consciously or not) and isn't something that actually exists. so for me romance not only as in romantic attraction but also an act of love is the inclusion of someone within that barrier on purpose. whatever that barrier is to you if it's in the things you let yourself feel and do or if it's just in name or if it's strict or loose or whatever. does that make any sense

26- i dont think i havw a favorite color but i'd say i'm inclined towards warm colors theyre nice to look at... like a warm dark green? moss green im saying moss green today. the answer wouldve been different had you asked me any other day. i <3 colors
