a/n: this has been in the drafts for a year now💀 so sorry, I am trying to clear the drafts but my schedule is shit and we all know I suck at keeping up with my schedule😍

WELCOME HOME

it was past 8pm when you had treaded through the front door of your apartment. your body sore from leaning over the tables and wiping it. normally, the cafe you work at was peaceful and was decently packed but after a viral video that practically wowed the internet.

there had been more and more people stopping by everyday. the cafe was decently sized but it was short staffed so sometimes you had to man the cashier, do the dishes, clean the tables and make the drinks. for normal days (before the surge of people), there was about 2 people working per shift, not including the 2 bakers in the kitchen as they were the behind the scenes staff that were required to be there.

with not that many staff per shift, it was hard for you and whoever was working that day to manage the cafe. that also meant more demands from the customers who think they are entitled to make a mess of the space as 'customers are always right'. curse, whoever made that quote.

you were mentally and physically drained. you just needed a good long rest for the rest of the week. however, you couldn't do that. not when your off-days were already used up for visiting your family back in your hometown. if only you could just...take a breather.

"welcome home, baby!" ni-ki slides into the hallway just as you walked towards the living room. you gave him a tired smile.

"hi riki, why aren't you at the dorm?" ni-ki gives you a playful pout.

"already kicking me out? baby, you wound me. i came to see you and you're already pushing me away." he says as he throws his (long) arms around you. "you weren't answering my calls so i assumed it was a long day at work and you didn't charge your phone."

you took out your phone and tried to turn it on but it was indeed dead. "sorry, today was a hectic day. couldn't even get a proper lunch break. there was so many people coming over for the past week."

"yeah, i heard about it. jake hyung talked about wanting to come over and buy some desserts. they did look good but since you know us being celebrities...we could get mobbed."

you hummed, "that's fair. it's a good thing you didn't go. seriously, have never seen such a long queue outside of the cafe in my whole years of working there."

"there was a queue?" he says as he pulls back from the hug.

"yeah, i felt like i was working at some fancy restaurant. oh god, speaking of there are so many karens trying to scam me and gaslight me into thinking i did something wrong when i did nothing wrong." you groaned and buried your head against ni-ki's chest.

he pats your head. "were you the shift manager?"

"usually i am whenever i am working that day."

"mmm, then you could've kicked them out and taught them a lesson."

"trust me, i wanted to but i can't i'll lose my job so i just sucked it up and patiently worked with them and even gave them a free bagel."

"not the free bagels, baby. they'll just come back again for more." ni-ki huffs.

"i know but what am i supposed to do." you sniffled as the tears that unknowingly appeared falls. you were just mad and exhausted. ni-ki obviously heard it so he pulls you back and cups your face.

"hey hey, don't cry. everything will be fine. why don't i run you a bath and then order some of your favourite food, okay?" he wipes the tears that were falling down.

"will cuddles be included?"

"of course. cuddles will be included. now, just lay in bed and i'll get the bath running." he pecks your forehead and goes to move to bedroom. however, you grabbed his wrist.

"carry me to my bedroom?" you pout. ni-ki smiles and scoops you up in his arms. he princess carries you over to your bed and places you gently onto the mattress before going over to the bathroom and getting ready the bathtub.

you had shut your eyes for a bit since you were tired but the exhaustion took a toll on you and you fell asleep for a little. ni-ki shakes you a little. "baby? the bath is ready. go enjoy it, i already placed an order so the food should be on the way soon."

you hummed and went over to the bathroom to remove your clothing and step into the bathtub. you laid your back against the edge of the tub and shut your eyes again. the candle light making everything moody and warm. you were enjoying the comfortable warmth and silence, much better than the bustling sounds at the cafe. this felt nice.

you had spent in the bathroom for about 20 minutes or so before deciding to get out of the tub. you didn't want to your fingers or toes to look like dried prunes so you decided to just get out of the water. you had grabbed the towel and dried yourself off. you could hear a knock at the door.

"baby, i have pyjamas with me. i forgot to leave them inside the bathroom." you opened the door to ni-ki. he had one hand out to hold the pyjama set and the other hand covering his eyes. a very gentleman thing of him to always do if you came out of the shower in just your towel.

you had noticed he too was wearing a pyjama set and it was similar to yours. of course, he loved matching things with you. you grabbed the pyjamas. "mmm, i think you forgot to grab my undergarments."

his ears quickly turned red in embarrassment. "ah, i knew i forget something. i-i'll just leave the room so you could change." and so ni-ki bolts out of the room and shuts the door. you shook your head, laughing a little since he was so adorable.

you changed into the pyjamas after putting on your undergarments and then went out to the living room. there ni-ki was, turning on the tv and searching up your favourite anime to watch together and setting up the food onto the coffee table. you had come up behind him and back hugged him.

"i have the best boyfriend in the world." you say. ni-ki smiles.

"well, let's not forget your boyfriend is one of a kind. where can you get another nishimura riki, member of boy band enhypen, in the world." he boasts. you playfully rolled your eyes and released him.

"that's very humble of you, riki." you playfully say.

"oh, i know. i'm just that hot." ni-ki smirks. you laughed.

"yeah, you are. now, will my hunk of a boyfriend please just cuddle and eat with me?"

"of course, i'll eat with my beautiful and amazing girlfriend any time." he steals a small peck to your lips and settles down on the couch. you gave him a playful gaze and settled right next to him.

after some time, you found yourself tangled with ni-ki. your legs and his long ones were somehow crossed in between in each other as you cuddled like cats laying together.

"oh, it's over?" you say.

"no, it can't be." ni-ki gasps.

a flash to the tv showed 'season 2 coming soon'. it made both you and ni-ki groan. "that's lame. we have to wait for the next season? that's going to take 1-2 years." ni-ki whines.

"they're going to pull another 'Spy Family' thing where there isn't going to have episodes in the next season, i can feel it." you complained.

"boooo. let's watch something else." ni-ki grumbles.

"yeah, let's watch-"

"let's watch, you. you're really pretty." ni-ki says as he stares down at you. ah, this playful and teasing ni-ki is appearing now.

"that wasn't that smooth, riki."

"well, to me it was. besides, this is a signal for you to reward me and i don't know give me a kiss or at least a peck? i am an amazing boyfriend, right?"

you snort, "yes, riki. you are but you're not getting that peck."

"what? why." he pouts.

"because..." you got closer to him and watches you with adorable doe eyes. before you unexpectedly peck him and ran away. ni-ki sits there confused, trying to analyse the situation properly. until he finally digested it.

"hey! get back here!" he yells as he tries to chase after you.

you could've not felt any better.

and being with ni-ki helped it.

General Stuff

- He’s just a silly guy. Who doesn’t love a silly guy?

- First meetings? He was probably awkwardly keeping his head down as he passed by.

-> Met during your school years? You probably saw him in the halls. Maybe he was a bit scared to talk to you.

> You may have gotten some anonymous love poem or something of the sorts from him as well.

- Just know that you probably had to make the first move to even start a platonic relationship, let alone a romantic one.

-> Friends to lovers? Aw that’s cute. You’re still gonna have to make the first move.

- Even as friends you guys had hangouts, movies and whatnot. Now they’re cute, stay-at-home, dates.

- Aw, here’s some angst if you two were together before the accident:

- Imagine him calling you just sobbing and trying to tell you that he’s been arrested and it was an accident and-

- You..believe him? Really? Oh that just hurts even more because you trusted him and he broke your trust and he’s just so sorry that he’s disappointed you.

- He really cares about you, and is most definitely be worried that people are going to start attacking you for even associating with him.

- Corey’s going to start isolating himself after his court case, become distant and less communicative.

- But if it gives you any comfort, he called you before he called Joan.

- Now, to general stuff.

- If you somehow start dating after his case. He’ll need heavy reassurance in your friendship let alone a romantic relationship.

-> A bit shy, and very cautious in your relationship initially. But once he trusts you he’s very loyal and clingy(? If that’s the right word.)

- And, while he finds comfort in your embrace, your touch, he doesn’t want to hurt you or your reputation.

-> He would feel terrible indulging in your touch just after the accident. I mean, how could you love such a terrible person? Even if it was an accident..

- Corey doesn’t want anyone. And I mean anyone to slander your name. Because you’re exceptional and perfect and he loves you so much and will not take anyone hurting your feelings.

- He’s like a.. lost puppy. A lap dog? A guard dog. A wolf in sheep’s clothing?

-> In my head my brain assumed he’d loved to be called puppy and would love head-pats and scratches sorry not sorry

- Corey is still as awkward as he was before the accident. Actually, he might be more awkward.

-> Even after the accident, knowing he’s still the awkward and dorky guy he always was is a comfort. To you and to Corey.

- His house isn’t really home anymore. To Corey, you are his home.

- He may not be able to protect you now, but he swears one day he’ll make everyone to hurt you pay.

-> That’s not to say he wouldn’t be comforted if you said that you’d protect him too.

- Work is repetitive, Joan is mean, people hate him. But he puts up with it.

-> All to get enough money so you two can leave the town. For good.

- One day Corey goes up and you, with excited eyes and a pep in his step, and tells you that he can protect you now. Protect himself.

- Something’s changed in him. At the moment, it seems to be for the better. And you couldn’t be happier for him.

- It’s been awhile since you saw him so full of life. So..happy. So excited.

- And he wasn’t kidding. About being able to protect you and himself.

- He walks with more confidence now, people seem more scared to approach the both of you when you walk. Perhaps it’s because he’s no longer a quiet guy with guilt eating away at him?

- Corey’s more open to going out for dates, but still likes at-home movie dates.

- Anyone staring at you the wrong way will be met with a death glare from Corey. It’s a threat, a threat he can go through with.

- Suddenly…people are disappearing. Bodies missing or turning up in grotesque displays of violence.

- You don’t recognize most of them. Well, maybe they gave you a mean look or a rude remark.

- Depending on if Corey thinks you’ll be okay with the violence, you might not even know about it.

-> After all it’s not something you should worry your pretty little head about.

- If you are okay with it, cool. He would love to share with you what he does! Consider acts of service apart of his love language.

-> Now you need to make rules about cleaning up before you cuddle. And maybe you help clean him up after his little…escapades. A new bonding moment he can have with you! How lovely.

777 is having a sale on lip balms. One of the featured products is a garish blue stick that claims to be sea salt ice cream flavored. The same type Kurusu was applying to her lips as they were leaving Jazz Jin last week.

It’s curious… And it’s only ¥100. What’s the harm?

She ends up buying it, and tries it out at home. Just to see.

It’s not as sheer in texture as she likes; but again, it was cheap. It’s a little tacky on her lips and smells like vanilla. So this is what Kurusu uses. This is what she smells, how her lips feel when—

Akechi’s tongue drags over her own lips. There’s no “sea salt” tang at all. But she supposes that’s to be expected, since they can’t exactly put salt into something meant to moisturize. It’s not even worth the novelty! And yet Kurusu is willing to let her lips taste like a lie.

She presses her lips together, redistributing the balm. It’s just vanilla. Vanilla and cream at best. Tacky vanilla masquerading as sea salt ice cream flavor.

Kurusu smiles the next time they meet at Jazz Jin and all Akechi can think is vanilla vanilla vanilla. Her lips are coated in lies—most of what comes out of them, too. But so are Akechi’s. They’re sure to taste the same.

facts/general headcanons for juniper, scarlet, and violet?

Random Juniper Facts!

They use fruity/tropical flavored chapsticks! Watermelon and Fruit Punch is their go to.

His favorite flowers are Cactus Blooms.

He owns a shit ton of plants. Mostly succulents, but a few seasonal flowers here and there.

Has a dog! He's a red poodle named Son.

They smell like cigarette smoke with a hint of rain.

Has TONS of piercings. On his ears he has a lobe, 2 upper lobes, a conch, a helix, an industrial, and a rook. On his face both eyebrows have double piercings, a septum ring, shark bites, and a tongue piercing.

They also have a few piercings on a more intimate space as well, but that's a topic for another time <3

They burn like a furnace. Even on the coldest days with them wearing the barest amount of clothes possible, they are so incredibly warm.

Soooo many scars. Has a very prominent one on his face that starts at his jawline and ends on his cheek.

Random Scarlet Facts!

Doesn't usually use chapsticks, only because they really just don't care enough. But they do have a cherry one and a cinnamon one that they enjoy the taste and smell of whenever they wear them.

Favorite flowers are hydrangeas.

Smells like sweat usually, but there is always a strong smell of cinnamon under it.

They have two cats! A blonde tabby, ragdoll named Dandelion and a calico sphynx named Cherry.

Dark eyebags from constantly working and never allowing themself a break. Usually has to be forced to go to bed by Violet.

Really likes going on long drives. Lucky for them, some of the jobs they get assigned has them driving from place to place.

Panics faster than most people- but never panics in situations they probably should??

Knows how to play the violin and was very good at it when they were a kid.

Constantly wearing chapstick. Enjoys sugar cookie chapsticks and cake batter chapsticks.

His favorite flowers are forget-me-nots

Smells like fresh books and vanilla! But sometimes it's just an overwhelming sugar smell rather than vanilla.

He sleeps in the loft above the library. He enjoys the company of the books a lot and will usually read right before heading to bed so he can have pleasant dreams.

COLD HANDS. His hands are ice cold, but he doesn't seem bothered by it.

Loves reading. His favorite types of books are romance novels where the lead is so helplessly in love and yet can never be loved in return.

Plays the piano! He's very good at it and has been taught since he was a kid. It's basic muscle memory for him now.

Has a really bad habit of rambling. He used to be extremely reserved and rarely spoke, but now, once you get him going he can talk for hours.
