What if? Rin had survived that mission thanks to Obito's intervention and Sanbi's foresight. She ends up being mentored by Kushina, Obito returns to Konoha, Nine tails attack still happens- but somehow the aftermath of it sees Rin going rogue and leading the Akatsuki, much like how Obito did in canon.
My questions are 1. Is the Akatsuki still the same? Or does Rin actually keep it away from Madara's plans? Because she never met him :o and 2. Does she take baby Naruto with her??? To Nagato and away from Hiruzen??

I had a thought on GOS au, where Obito messes up Gai's reincarnation and sends him away from his usual kingdom by accident (its not his fault Rin suddenly showed up and looked so pretty and he was like "hey girl, wassup~" at the wrong moment!) And just hoped for years Kakashi wouldn't notice. It gets to year 21 and he thinks he's in the clear...
Only for Kakashi to suddenly show up. Grab his ear and drag him out of the underworld, and force him to help him find Gai and where he is. It takes them a while but they finally find Gai's new village/ kingdom... OVER 5000 MILES AWAY.
But its fine. Its cool. Its neat. Its a bit out of town and the locals seem to worship different gods here but they're not looking for trouble. They just wanna see Gai...
Only to find out he left last year to see the world and "find himself." And no one knows where he is.
Its been a long while since Obito has stayed so long in the mortal world. But Kakashi won't let them go until they find Gai!
Gai meanwhile, is living the travelers life and is having a great time exploring the world with a pet turtle he found/ loves. He writes in his journal about all the plants and animals he discovers, and all the different cultures he meets. But feels in his heart that he is searching for something, that this is not just wonderlust. That there is a void in his chest he can feel at all times and doesn'tknow why... he just knows that on stormy nights, that emptiness is a lot less and he and his turtle friend enjoy the light show in the sky... which has oddly been a lot more active as of late.
(Maybe where he was born the people don't worship the god of storms so he does not know of Kakashi yet XD; He can't pray to Kakashi properly/ know his name, so they can't find him that way. XD;)
Ohhh love the idea!
Obito getting distracted because his friend is pretty is always a kicker. She just rolls her eyes and asks what he screwed up, cuz she knows he didn’t mean to send that soul wherever it just went
Which is when Obito realizes he didn’t just screw up any ol reincarnation.
He screwed up Gai’s!
There are fables told later in history of the adventures Kakashi and Obito had while searching for Gai. The creatures they faced, the strange new festivals they saw, all of the people they met (some of which recognize them as gods!)
Meanwhile Gai is playing the ‘find myself’ game not realizing that his path is taking him toward the village where he had grown up in ever past lifetime, and the knowledge of the God of Storms that is missing from his brain.
On his own adventure he see’s such fascinating things.
Survives a storm as he’s taking a boat over sea’s to a little island.
Saves a village from a monster tormenting it and gets offered his choice of wives, but chooses to continue on his journey alone because he doesn’t feel anything holding him to that little village.

Modern AU Idea: Obito and Rin growing up as childhood friends, getting split up before entering their teenage years and then meeting again as young adults
This was an idea I had in mind for a long time! :) Love it!
~~
-Obito and Rin would grow up together because they're neighbors and they go to the same school together. Their parents are on rather good terms, mainly because their kids enjoy spending time together. Rin's mother and Obito's other would totally tease the two of them and would be like, "I can't wait to see my grandkids!" xD
-One day, Obito's parents would die in a car accident, and Obito would end up needing to move to another place in which he would live with his grandmother up in the countryside and attend a school there. That's when he and Rin would split up. They then made a promise to one another that they would never forget each other. Rin gives Obito one of her favorite seashells for him to remember her by, and Obito would give Rin his favorite orange goggles (kids love the weirdest things so let's just go with the goggles in this AU xD)
-They'd try to keep in touch by writing letters.. but that slowly starts to die down because of how busy things have become for either of them. Obito's grandmother was becoming ill, and he had to take care of her. Rin was trying to get good grades by attending extra classes and cram school so that she can apply to med school. Obito's grandmother then passes away, and he has to fend for himself. Madara takes him in, trying to make him learn the ways of running a company, but Obito has ambitions of his own - his goal was to become a detective and to make a name of himself in the city.
-Obito attends the police academy and climbs up the ranks, and eventually around his early 20s he becomes a top detective who is very efficient in solving cases. One day though, while chasing a criminal, he gets shot and is rushed to the hospital. There, he meets the one person whom he could never forget: Rin.
-Rin, who recognizes that her childhood best friend is injured, immediately gets on his case and does whatever she can with her team to treat him. She'd never leave his side while he's recovering, and time seemed to always slow down whenever they're around one another... and she'd sit by his bedside, and they'd talk and ask one another how they've been and what they were up to, etc.
-When Obito is finally discharged, he doesn't hesitate to take her phone number, given that now he lives in the city where she is, and he tells her that he wants to see her more often, and Rin happily exchanges numbers with him.
-They text nearly every day, and one phone call lasts hours upon hours. He would drive up to her place and take her for a ride.. and they would do a bunch of the stuff that they did when they were little - like buy a lot of candies and lollipops from the convenience store, and sit by the swings in the park, feed ducks at the lake, ride with Obito on his motorcycle (a tie-in to Obito teaching her how to ride a bike when they were little).. and all those moments would just make Obito fall for her even harder, while Rin's feelings for him starts to grow deeper, beyond the friendship that they share.
-After a long time, where they share many moments together - happy and vulnerable ones, all the while getting closer and closer, Obito decides that he doesn't want to hold back his feelings anymore, and takes Rin to her favorite beach, where they would at first walk on the shore, and Obito would watch the wind tickle Rin's long hair, staring at her as she closes her eyes and just feels the sea breeze against her skin, and the water lapping at her feet. They'd hang out a little, and then Rin decides to tease him by picking some water in her hand and throwing it at Obito, before she starts to playfully run away. He'd chase her, and because he's taller than her, he easily catches her, where he grabs her hand, pulls her to him, wraps his arm around her waist, and cups her cheek as he presses his lips against hers. He kisses her passionately, pouring his feelings into his kiss, before he slowly pulls away to look at her in the eyes.
-Rin is still registering what happened, and Obito confesses that he's in love with her, and has been in love with her for a long time. As he anticipates her answer, Rin boldly wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him with fervor, and that's how they would end up getting together. :3

Out of curiosity, what are your opinions on Minato Namikaze.
I guess for both in and out of Oot-verse
For Oot-verse you've mentioned about how a lot of the "shinobi families" are really just ex-Senju and while some authors make the Namikaze a small clan, I'm fairly sure that's not canon. Do would you consider him of the Senju bloodline in the Oot-verse. Since that would play better into the fact that actual civilian born are discriminated against since he was never used as an example of how far civilian born shinobi can go.
But like for a demented AU. instead of Sarutobi summoning the Terrors, let's make it Minato's problem's. Since we already know a lot of his repertoire was inspired/based off of the work of Tobirama, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for him to just fiddle around with old seals and oh no Kushina I think I'm a dad, I just made two kids pop out of nowhere, I didn't cheat on you I swear, please stop laughing and help me.
Tbh I have a mixed bag of feelings for Minato bc I don't really dislike him as a character but a lot of circumstance/plot devices around him. I hate the "Child of Prophecy" plot point, I dislike that he's the Fourth Hokage in a similar vein, I despise Jiraiya, etc. Minato is a character that, similar to Hiruzen, suffers from other areas of the plot and lore being created first and then he's slotted in to fill gaps but this does absolutely no favors to his character, especially as he's supposed to be a paragon of Konoha. And then there's Minato trying to impress Kushina by taking her dream of being Hokage and doing it for her. That is not romantic, but the hand of the author is so obvious I feel like I can't really blame Minato fully for that.
Ultimately he's a character I don't really love but not because his actions specifically. I do like more light-hearted fics and art where he's a house husband and living his best life.
You are correct though for OoT! I do consider him part of the Senju bloodline and he would been Senju Minato if Hashirama hadn't cast off their name. He's firmly a 'clanless' shinobi, not a 'civilian' one in that universe. I don't want him to be too closely related to the main line but it does cast Tobirama being irritated at him for using his jutsu and Naruto attributing it to Minato in a funny light to me. Tobirama stomping around complaining about the Senju Youth (TM) not giving credit to his ancestors, thinking just because he had time to tweak things and/or improve them make them his jutsu now is hilarious to me.
Ooh that would be a fun AU! Terrors in the previous generation instead of Naruto's 😂 Madara would bully Obito, trying to shape him into a proper Uchiha and Obito low-key hates him, but he's a polite boy and Madara is undeniably the most powerful 12 y/o Obito has ever seen and he's trying to impart some of that knowledge and power to Obito too makes him very conflicted. Obito constantly makes running tallies of 'who's worst today: Madara or Kakashi?'
Since Pakkun attacking Madara wouldn't have happened in this AU, I think Hashirama would like a younger Kakashi quite a lot. He might remind him of Tobirama in a way and He'd make it his mission to try and get the kid to lighten up/give him some knd of big brother figure to depend on since he'd lost his father.
Both would be decent friends with Rin. Madara because he catches onto Obito's crush immediately and decides to stick his nose into it and finds Rin reasonable and level-headed. She admires Kakashi but doesn't romantically like him like Obito thinks (mostly bc by god the girls need other motivations besides boys and Kakashi's age is a timeline headache of it's own). She sees Obito as a friend, not really interested in more at this point because she's focused on her own goals to be a great med-nin. She seeks out Hashirama on her own similar to Sakura to ask him to teach her, but she's much more respectful to Hashirama than Sakura is to him. I really like jinchuriki!Rin so that'd be part of this AU 100% and then a lot of her arc would be mastering that power through medical ninjutsu somehow.
Eheh this is becoming about Rin, back to Minato. I like to think his reasoning to 'keep' the terrors would be "It's great practice Kushina before we have kids" and Kushina, an Uzumaki, clearly recognizes Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara is like...:my dearest husband...this is both a terrible and BRILLIANT idea. If we can handle them, will be pros" (let Kushina be a little impulsive and wild plsss). The big issue would be them trying to keep the terrors because...the Uchiha haven't been massacred at this point. Madara would want to be with them but the Uchiha leadership is have a crisis because that is Uchiha Madara and they made him into a Ghost and banished him and Amaterasu turned away from them because of it. But also the coup is brewing and maybe this is a second chance to do it over. Either way, the only thing that unites the clan at this point is the belief that Madara will either be their salvation or damnation again.

Drabble request of Rindou falling in love for the first time and telling his very law abiding partner who he really is and her acceptance. I love Rindou but he gets a lot of hate so wanna show him so much needed love
Not sure why Rin gets so much hate, but here's a mini-scene me and @thehypestdeano did for the Political AU that fits so perfectly for this!
Beauty: Rindou Haitani x Fem!Reader
wc: 536
tw: fluff
masterlist
Rindou loves coming home to his beautiful house on a hill, where his beautiful wife lives with him, and his beautiful front yard is neatly trimmed to perfection.
"Rin!" you shout, coming down the stairs in your little nightgown that barely covers your legs. "Rin, baby, your brother is on the main phone."
"Got it," Rindou calls out to you, picking up the old landline that was installed for two people: you and Ran. "Talk to me."
"You always have your wife answer the phone," Ran grumbles, shuffling papers around in the background. "You ever think maybe it could be an emergency and I'd need to speak to you first?"
"Well, it's apparently not," Rindou sighs. "What's going on?"
"Remember that woman I was fucking around with?"
"The lobbyist?"
"Yeah." Ran takes a gulp of something, then exhales. "She's entangled herself with Arashi. I need to get the ins and outs of their relationship immediately."
"And how do you expect me to do that?"
"Like you've always done it," Ran gripes. "With force." The phone line goes dead and Rin rolls his eyes, pushing his blonde hair out of his face.
"You'd think he'd give me a break..."
_____________________________________________________________
The newspaper is all you can stare at.
"Rin," you call out to your husband, who shuffles out of his home office and into the kitchen drowsily. He almost looks just like his grainy picture, too, minus the suit... and the glasses.
"Yes, princess?"
You toss the newspaper onto the counter and look at him in his deep lilac eyes. "Is this you?"
Man Spotted Thieving Documents from Congressman's Office
You watch Rin's adam's apple bob up and down as he stares at his own grainy image, then look up at you slowly. "Baby..." he begins,t making your hands in his and rubbing his thumbs across your skin. "This isn't--"
"I need you to explain, then." Your tone is harsher than you imagined it would be, but it does what you want it to do.
"I'm sorry..."
"So, you're a thief?" A nod. "And you work for your corrupt brother?"
"With," Rindou corrects you automatically, and you shake your head. Oh, here it comes, Rindou thinks to himself, steeling his heart for the blow that's sure to come.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" you wonder, frowning.
"Because I..." No, this isn't about him. "Because you're such a good person. You're so sweet and innocent... and I didn't know how to say that I was in the business of being the antithesis of what you are."
"Who says I'm innocent?" you chuckle, shaking your head. "Babe, you need to just be honest with me."
"You're not mad?" Rindou wonders, frowning.
"As long as you're not getting yourself hurt, then everything is fine." Rindou huffs a laugh, pulling you closer to him and tilting his head to the side. "I'm appreciative of what you do for us to have nice things, sweetie."
"And nice things you'll always have, as long as I can help it." You kiss his lips once, twice, and a third time before pulling back.
"Now, can I see what you took? They must be important if they're on the second page of the newspaper."

My thoughts about Tomes in DBD:
I constantly think about how good the first tome was and how slowly they became either very boring or just an excuse to re write a character's lore. Claudette and Trapper where definetly the best first options. The tome does not rewrite what little we know about them, instead it explores the way of how they became the people they are right know, and how did that affect those close to them.
We get to see how Claudette had to live with ADD/ bein in the autistic spectrum, and how this affected her social interactions and her parents. It was very interesting to see Claudette's point of view but also her mother's and how she had to repress herself during her whole life in order to appear "normal" and her internal conflict of doing the same to her daughter or letting her be herself.
Evan being the other side, where his dad managed to influence him and shape him into another version of himself. We know what happened to his mother and uncle, how his relationship was with other workers, his love for art and how that could have been his path of life if it wasn't because of his dad, and the pay off at the end, in which we are hinted that his dad actually cares about him which makes you wonder what drove him into killing him later.
Also the first hint about Talbot, known at that time as the alchemist, and the exploration of how the entity's real is shape.
We got an inside about how this characters came to be, expanding on their already stablish lore, and it felt like a necessity in order to understand these characters better.
After this we got pointless stories that contribute nothing to some characters like with Ace, ruined a particularly interesting thing about another character like with Dwight or rewrite their lore and personality for no reason like with Nurse. Also, most of the Observer's entries feel like filler, some people like that side story about those two siblings but I'm not one of those people.
There are some good ones tho. Jake's has some questionable parts and rewrites somethings about his lore but the narration made it interesting, same with Wraith, Clown was okay-ish and Rin's didn't touch much about her but explained somethings about the Yamaokas. Right know I just read them, make some of those things into my own canon and I mix them with my own hcs. So for me Tomes feel more so like AUs

[Tales from the Pack] Hansol: Fire and Ice (Part Two)
Tumblr media
Characters: Hansol x female reader
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, fantasy, angst, a little bit of fluff in there tho, a hint of crack, lots of talking about death, mention of stabbing
Word count: 1,964
Summary: You’ve always been one to let your emotions get the best of you – your power reflects that – and you’ve never been good at expressing them. That’s why you always thought you’d be awful with a mate, but you never thought things would be this awful.
Previous | Next | Fire and Ice Masterlist
It wasn’t until the mates at Jiung’s house watched the werewolves perk up and strain their ears that their heart started racing, the too-quiet and tense atmosphere being broken. Chanseong stood up to follow Rin – who had come home alone before everyone else after chasing after you – as she went straight for the door. But she still didn’t smile. Nobody in their pack had smiled once since you ran out with Chan chasing after you.
Rin turned to look at Rika, saying something quickly in English. The smaller girl understood, ushering the mates that had made it back on their own back into the living room.
“What is it?” Yeji asked worriedly as Mingyu rushed right out the door behind Rin.
Rika sighed, trying her best to get a look out the window, “I know you’ve all guessed something was wrong, but… Somebody didn’t make it back.”
“What?!” Jooyeon cried, already assuming the worst.
“Someone’s missing?” Jia asked urgently. “Who?”
Rika just shook her head before sitting on another couch between two of her pack’s mates.
Then the front door opened, and everybody in the living room stood, waiting to see who would enter. But every face was somber, and some had silent tears in their eyes or sliding down their cheeks.
The group in the living room watched as Hansol entered, carrying you, who was passed out in his arms with your face tear-stained and set in almost a scowl. Rika just stared at him for a beat of silence before wordlessly leading him out of the room. None of them were sure what happened to you, but they hoped you were okay.
They watched as Chanseong stood after seeing you, and walked out of the room with a loud sob escaping passed his lips. Jimin got up to follow him.
Eyes scanned each person one-by-one as they entered, everyone wanting to know who made it back okay. Were their mates okay? Was it the person they loved most who didn’t make it back? The group in the living room watched as members of Jiung’s pack entered, all silently crying as they filed in. Jaesang, Hanbin, Jinyoung, Baekhan, Hyojun – all of them had tears in their eyes and sliding down their cheeks. But even Seungcheol’s pack looked upset. The alpha himself entered, head bowed and tears brimming his eyes as he tried to not cry in front of his pack. It wasn’t until Jooyeon cried out his name and ran into his arms that he sobbed into her hair.
They realized once everyone was inside that it was the alpha of the pack that had helped them that didn’t make it back. Jiung had died.
The reunions were sweet, and almost made everyone in Seungcheol’s pack forget about whatever had happened. Jia clung to Minghao’s arm, frantically whispering things to him in Mandarin as she sniffled and kissed his cheek -- even giving Junhui a quick peck on the cheek and telling him she was happy he was safe. Wonwoo enveloped his sister and his mate in a tight hug, kissing both of their heads before taking his niece in his arms and cooing to her while she slept.
And of course, brothers and sisters hugged each other and said their forms of love and caring. Joshua gave a stern look to Soomin before he hugged her and complained for scaring him half to death. Jihoon gave Suvi a genuine smile as he patted her hand and told her he was happy she was finally safe. Seungkwan threw his arms dramatically around Chan and cried that their “baby is okay”. Even Soonyoung strolled up to Jooyeon casually, giving her a side-hug as he grinned down at her.
“Saw some of those assholes with knives in their chests,” he commented like it was nothing. “I’m proud of you, Yeon. You defended your pack.”
“I’d do it again if I had to,” she told him with a proud smile before Soonyoung squeezed her shoulder again.
“Let’s hope we don’t have to,” Seokmin spoke up.
-
“So, what happened in town?” Wonwoo had asked as the pack finally settled into the living room to discuss the aftermath.
Things were calmer now. Mates were relaxed together, Wonwoo and Danbi were sitting beside each other on the couch and softly talking to each other, and Eunjin looked peaceful as she looked curiously around the room. For once, things felt normal, which was a rare occurrence for the pack.
“I can assure you that the son-of-a-bitch Donghae is dead,” Soonyoung nodded. “Our little Suvi is safe – oh, and happy birthday, by the way.”
Chan held Suvi a little closer to his side – he had returned from disposing of the tracker, and Suvi’s arm was healed thanks to Joshua – pressing a kiss to her temple and making the girl blush. It made both packs happy knowing that he didn’t have to worry about her anymore. He could just be with her.
“Does anybody care to explain the _____ situation?” Danbi wondered slowly. “She freaked out before she left, and came back out cold.”
Obviously the pack had noticed Hansol hadn’t come back yet even though they’d seen Rika wandering around, so nobody was sure what happened to him or you. Those who weren’t there to see what happened did, however, notice Wonwoo’s gold eyes suddenly look down at the floor. Danbi just knew he did to you what he had done to Jooyeon her first night at the wolves’ house.
“Well…” Soomin began, since she was one of two mates to come with the pack.
Jeonghan clamped a hand over her mouth.
Danbi, however, knew that this was a dead giveaway that you being passed out was her brother’s doing, “Wonwoo!”
“It’s not his fault,” Hanbin suddenly appeared from the kitchen, carrying two mugs in his hand, which he started handing to mates. “_____ was becoming hysterical.”
“Somebody didn’t come back. Who died?” Jia wondered bluntly, though her voice was soft.
She was the only one who didn’t know because nobody wanted to be the one to tell her. Jiung’s pack was grieving and they could hear everything. Nobody wanted to talk about it and make it worse.
Hanbin sighed, a crease forming between his brows, “Our alpha, Jiung.”
“He sacrificed himself for Hansol,” Eunjin spoke up, her voice quiet and airy like her head was somewhere else – and judging from the spacey look, it was. “That’s why I thought Hansol was the death… He indirectly caused it…”
“But Hansol’s also _____’s mate,” Seungcheol continued, making the mates and Chan look up at him in surprise.
Before anyone could say anything, though, Danbi spoke up, “That doesn’t explain why Wonwoo had a vile of that sedative with him!”
Her brother just shrugged, “After Jooyeon, I just kept it on me.”
Hanbin continued to go back and forth from the kitchen – eventually assisted by his mate, Jimin – until each of the pack had a hot cup of tea in their hands. It had started pouring after the pack came inside, but the rain eased up as the tension in the room became less and less. Still, water continued to fall from the sky, and Seokmin refused to look at anybody as he sipped his tea.
“You can all stay here for a little while before going to the other house,” Hanbin said, mustering up a soft smile. “I’m sure Hansol wants to be with _____ anyway.”
“What happens to her?” Joshua suddenly asked. “From what I know, if the werewolf had a werewolf sibling by blood, the sibling becomes alpha.”
“An alpha can also denounce their alpha status if they leave their pack,” Soomin spoke up, being an expert on this thanks to Beom. “If Kyung chooses, she doesn’t have to be their alpha. However, if she wants to be alpha but chooses to come with us to be with Hansol–”
“Doubtful,” Jeonghan commented.
“–then she cannot be her pack’s alpha,” Soomin concluded, ignoring Jeonghan.
“Look, that’s _____’s choice,” Seungcheol spoke up, “and she’s not around, so let’s not discuss it.”
“Let’s discuss how Wonwoo drugged yet another girl,” Danbi spoke up, making the pack erupt with laughter, happy her comment could ease more of the somberness. “You’re really on a roll, Woo.”
“Yeah, he’s really a peach,” Soomin nodded, making Wonwoo’s face turn red as he smiled and rolled his eyes.
-
The pack started to fall asleep in various places of the living room, but Eunjin had noticed Seungcheol excused himself and never returned. She recalled him going outside, so since she was one of the only people still awake -- the voices wouldn’t let her sleep -- she decided to go see what was up. She figured he just couldn’t sleep, and she didn’t blame him considering the events that had occurred.
Eunjin opened the front door and poked her head out. Standing by the railing of the porch was Seungcheol, looking up at the stars. She stepped outside and softly closed the door, walking over to stand beside him. The wood of the deck was cold on her bare feet but it felt nice.
Even though Eunjin sometimes unintentionally snuck up on even the wolves, the alpha knew she was there and began talking to her, still staring up at the stars, “Do you believe in Heaven?”
Her brows furrowed, “What?”
“I wonder if that’s where Jiung ended up,” he continued, his voice soft. “Or maybe ghosts exist and he’s still around. I don’t know if those voices are ghosts or just...something else.”
Eunjin frowned, looking up at Seungcheol, “You don’t feel guilty, do you?”
He shrugged, “I just feel…sad. He shouldn’t have died. He wasn’t just a leader and a pack brother, he was somebody’s twin brother. He was such a caring person, it just– The whole situation just sucks.”
They both knew the pack was worried for Hansol because of what happened. You blamed him, and Hansol even blamed himself. Not only that, but Joshua pointed out that you weren’t doing well emotionally, and clearly lashed out without thinking things through. If you did anything to yourself, nobody was sure what would happen to Hansol. Sure, he would be patient with you, but if you just flat out denied him, you’d both die. If you ran off and did something to yourself… The question that people wondered was if Hansol would be able to carry on like Joshua had, or if the heartache would be too much for him.
Seungcheol was probably more worried about that right now. Hansol was the second youngest in the pack and Seungcheol wanted to make sure he’d be okay. The alpha wanted to somehow help, but he didn’t know how to. What could he say to help the situation? What could anybody say?
“Where’s Hansol?” the banshee wondered quietly.
“He’s just waiting outside _____’s door,” he replied with a sigh, finally looking away from the stars to look down at his hand on the railing. “He wants to give her space, but he wants to be there for her, too. Jaesang told him that _____’s feeling just as conflicted.”
“Sounds familiar,” she murmured, raising your eyebrows as she recalled not only her own confliction with Seungkwan, but the stories she heard of the alpha and Jooyeon.
Seungcheol chuckled, his golden eyes looking down at his sister, “Kinda does, huh? I guess our pack has an issue with conflicting feelings.”
Eunjin let out a soft sigh and simply nodded. She thought it would be weird to tell Seungcheol that she had a feeling everything would eventually be okay because of what the voices were telling her, so she opted to just leave the conversation on a somewhat lighthearted note.

Inukag Royalty Au
A few months passed by comfortably and Kagome felt settled into her new role. She felt so much happier than she’d been in a long time, enough to rarely think about what brought her there in first place. Being a Lady in Waiting came with responsibilities, but Rin never felt like work. If anything, Kagome treated her like her own daughter or thought of her as the little sister she never had. Maybe even a bit too comfortable... If she wasn’t with Rin, she was with Inuyasha. They talked a lot and a crush had developed. She could tell he liked her too, but they both knew it wouldn’t work because he believed she was just a servant, and he was already spoken for. So, Kagome did her best to push away those sadder feelings and focus on the positives. She was in a safe environment, happy, and living freer than ever. It wasn’t worth stressing over.
“Where’s Rin?” Inuyasha asked Kagome when he found her sitting in the garden alone at mid-morning.
“Oh, hello Inuyasha.” Kagome looked up from her book. “This morning Rin decided to go with her mother to the neighboring city for shopping. They told me I didn’t need to accompany them, kind of like a mother, daughter fun day, I assume.”
“So that means you’re free right now?”
“I guess you could say that,” she chuckled. “They’ll probably be back around dinner time.”
“In that case, would you like to join me for a horseback ride? You haven’t had a lot of chances to see the surrounding areas, right?”
“No, I haven’t. But I guess Buyo wouldn’t mind getting out of the stable either. He hasn’t been worked much lately since I’d arrived.”
“Then it’s settled.” Inuyasha held out a hand to help her to her feet. “We can grab some lunch from the market before heading out.”
Within the hour, the pair were on horseback trotting along the road that led away from the castle city. There were a few areas close by that Inuyasha thought Kagome would enjoy seeing. For him it was days like this when he could forget that he was a Prince and just enjoy life. The woman had truly brought out a new side of him and it wasn’t going unnoticed, but so far, the palaces gossip mill didn’t dare to make it publicly known. It had steadily grown harder and harder to remember life before Kagome’s arrival and Inuyasha didn’t want to think about the day he’d have to leave her behind for some Princess he didn’t even know. Ugh! Before Kagome, he’d accepted his fate subserviently to his fathers will, but now, the frustration grew like a weed in his heart. He’d rather die alone at home, in the castle with Kagome around then be married in an unfamiliar kingdom on a loveless throne.
“Where’s Miroku?” Kagome asked after some time. “Isn’t he supposed to be with you when you leave the castle?”
“Yeah…” Inuyasha smirked with a glint in his eye. “But I ditched him. He’s probably still looking for me,” he laughed. “Wouldn’t want a third wheel when I’m with you.”
The comment brought a blush to Kagome’s cheeks as the man’s tone hinted more than an innocent rambling. “Oh…” she ducked her head in embarrassment. “It is nicer without anyone else around. So, um, where are we going?”
“There’s a pond,” Inuyasha pointed in a general direction. “It’s not much farther, with a small waterfall where we can relax and eat our lunch.”
“That does sound really nice! I’ve never seen a waterfall before,” she sheepishly admitted.
“Wow… you really haven’t seen much, have you?”
“Let’s just say I was… sheltered for most of my life.”
“Because you’re a girl?”
“Yeah, they wouldn’t let me go anywhere by myself.”
“I see. So, after they passed away you decided to do the opposite?”
“I know it’s odd for a woman to travel alone, but I didn’t have anyone to turn to and I just… needed to get away.”
Inuyasha leaned back a little in his saddle using his legs to steady himself. “I can completely understand that. Everyone wondered why I used to be so irritable before Rin came along. She gave me a reason to stick around, but I really don’t enjoy being a prince.”
“You don’t?” Kagome spoke slowly to hide the tremble in her tone. It was nice to hear someone else unhappy with that kind of life.
He shook his head. “So many rules and traditions to follow. Everyone thinks our life is easy but the pressures… and being told what to do, being watched constantly— I hate it and then the whole arrangement—… never mind.” His ears folded back as he glanced skyward. “What I wouldn’t give to be free from all of it.” He turned to look at her. “Like you— oi, did I say something wrong?” Inuyasha questioned when he saw the moisture filling Kagome eyes.
“No, no,” she shook her head and smiled. “I get it. Freedom to choose how we’ll live our lives is just, such a wonderful thing.”
Ever have a sense of connection while time stood still? Just for moment as the pair trotted side by side, their eyes holding a gaze like the world could fall away at any moment, but it wouldn’t be noticed. Inuyasha didn’t know how, and despite coming from such different worlds this woman… he knew she spoke the truth. She was feeling the same longing emotions as he was, the same which had driven her to leave home. What a strength to possess in standing up to traditions! Inuyasha let out a held breath. Kagome truly was one of those once in a lifetime meeting, he’ll never find again. If only…
Inuyasha snapped out of the daydream when he realized they’d reached their destination. “F-follow me, it’s right through this tree line.”
He led them through a thicket of trees with the sounds of moving water guiding him towards the source. This hidden gem was easy to miss from the road, but it made for a perfect hideaway. Inuyasha would sometimes slip away from the castle and go there whenever he was upset. Not even Miroku knew about it and the prince wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible. They tethered the horses near the water on a patch of grass, before finding a flat rock outcropping to sit down. Inuyasha then laid out a blanket he’d brought, and Kagome unpacked a travel basket of food.
“This really is a beautiful place,” Kagome commented. “Thank you for showing it to me.”
“You’re welcome. I’m just glad you like it.”
Kagome stretched out her legs and held herself up with her arms behind her relaxing and listening to the sounds around her. The pond was maybe four or five horse lengths from one side to the other, with a short waterfall that fed the pond, but it had no visible outlet. Perhaps it was connected to an underground stream that came out elsewhere. Not that she cared about such details. What mattered was the serenity of the area, so calming, soothing, the gentle rumbles of the waterfall, the birds in the trees, even the frogs croaking, or water bugs buzzing around in a strangely harmonious cacophony. As they ate their lunch amidst this entertainment, she couldn’t help but think about coming back here again.
“I bet Rin would love this place,” Kagome sighed in contentment.
“She probably would, if I was willing to share it with anyone else.”
She turned her head and was about to respond when she realized what Inuyasha was insinuating. “Oh… so no one else knows about this place?”
Inuyasha shook his head no. “Just me and you. Only special people allowed,” he smiled.
As she adjusted her body to sit up, Kagome’s voice quieted with hopeful undertones. “You think… I’m special?”
“Kagome, look at the effect you’ve had on my entire family. Rin loves you. My parents think you’re great, even Kagura likes you and that says a lot. It’s pretty clear that you’re a very special person.”
“Ah, I see,” Kagome breathed out a sigh mixed with relief as well as disappointment. “Everyone has been very nice to me, and I’m blessed to have been so accepted.”
Inuyasha didn’t respond immediately and when Kagome glanced up to look at him, she noticed he was staring at the water with a serious, almost pained expression. His brows were slightly furrowed, and jaw tightened. Should she say something? Maybe he was thinking and wouldn’t want to be interrupted. Minutes ticked by, but the prince kept his eyes trained on the water. So, Kagome pulled her knees up and rested her arms on them to wait, letting the scenery pull her back into a daydream.
It frustrated Inuyasha that he kept having to reign in his emotions like this. He wanted to just tell her the truth, not cover it up with truthful lies. His family did love her, just not in the way he was beginning to. She was special to him, but it would be wrong to lead her on when there was no hope of developing anything more. He’d do anything to make her happy and feel special every single day for the rest of her life. Finally, after several awkward minutes, he spoke up. “Someone like you deserves the world Kagome, and if I could give it to you, I would.”
The comment made Kagome’s heart melt, for she knew those words were coming from his own. Now she understood the turmoil lying just below the surface but appreciated Inuyasha trying to keep things platonic for both their sakes. She smiled softly as she fidgeted with her fingers. “I know you would, Inuyasha, and I’d do the same for you if I could. These past few months have made me happier than any other time in my life, but even if this is all I get, I’ll still cherish the memories.”
Inuyasha let out a drawn-out exhale, his head hung, and ears drooped. “And I still wish things could be different. Fate sucks sometimes.”
Kagome surprised him by reaching over and placing her hand over his. “Let’s focus on the good stuff while we can.” She genuinely smiled although behind it there was a hint of sadness to it. “At least we got to meet each other, and we get to enjoy moments like this one. That’s something no one can ever take away from us.”
He flipped his hand over and took hold of hers, giving it a small squeeze. “I don’t know how you do it,” Inuyasha chuckled quietly. “But I know you’re right. For you, I’ll hold out hope that things will work out the way they’re supposed to.” And he meant it. Anything to keep a smile on Kagome’s face.
Once Inuyasha noticed the sun had moved halfway towards the horizon, they decided it was time to head back to the palace. The pair trotted out of the tree line but pushed the horses into a light gallop after making it back to the main road. It was fun, albeit disruptive to Kagome’s hair as it came undone and flowed behind her. Inuyasha had to hold back his admiration because she simply looked breathtaking like that. They slowed down as they neared the castle gate and he instantly saw a very annoyed Miroku standing next to his horse waiting for them.
“Where the hell have you been!” Miroku flailed his hands at the prince. “Are you trying to get me in trouble?!”
Refusing to acknowledge the man’s tirade, Inuyasha just rolled his eyes. “What’s the big deal. Did my dad come looking for me or something?”
“No—”
Inuyasha cut him off. “Then where’s the fire? What’s got you so damn riled up?”
“Because it was only a matter of time. And what are you doing with Ms. Tanaka?” Miroku questioned with an accusatory tone.
“Look, she hasn’t seen much more than the castle, so I took her out riding. Nothing wrong with that, so don’t be projecting your sick perverted mind on me,” Inuyasha growled back. “Now are you done grilling me cause we’d like to be on our way.”
“One more thing.” Miroku moved closer so he could keep his voice low. “A visiting King from a small kingdom will be here by dinner time, so your father may call on you to greet the guest.”
“What king?”
“Naraku, from the Komorigumo kingdom.”
“The creepy one?”
“Yeah, that one. He’s supposedly just passing through for the night on his way to the coastal port city and stopped out of respect.”
“I never did trust that guy.”
“Neither does your father, so that’s why he’ll probably ask you to greet him and keep an eye on him.”
“Alright… thanks,” Inuyasha mumbled. “Now if you don’t mind?”
“Not at all.” Miroku then winked at Kagome. “Ma’am.”
“Mr. Hoshii,” she nodded her head.
“Okay, okay, that’s enough,” Inuyasha grumped and drove his horse forward. “We should get inside.”
“Okay,” Kagome responded and followed along.
After putting away their horses, the pair parted ways. Kagome went straight to her room to freshen up before Rin arrived home and Inuyasha went looking for his father. He wanted to find out if there was more to this visit than Miroku had known about, because King Naraku had a sullen and untrustworthy reputation. It was customary for visiting guests to stay in the palace, but Inuyasha wondered if they should increase the guards or put them on alert for mischief. He found the Inutaisho in his war room, but after several questions, Naraku’s visit appeared to be for a benign reason, just like Miroku stated. But he still didn’t trust the man.
“Fine,” Inutaisho acquiesced. “I’m not increasing the guards but have them instructed to watch for anything suspicious or unusual and to notify you immediately if they come across something.”
“Thanks, I’ll make sure it’s done. Oh, will Naraku be at dinner?”
“Yes.”
“Make sure he’s on the opposite side of the table from Ms. Tanaka. Wouldn’t want him making her uncomfortable.”
“Inuyasha, I still think you’re being paranoid.”
“Better paranoid and be wrong, then miss something and bad things happen.”
Inutaisho laughed. “I guess I can’t fault that logic too much. See you at dinner son.”
With Miroku’s help, the palace guards and staff were put on notice under the guise of simply being on the alert with such a high-profile guest at the palace. When King Naraku arrived shortly before dinner, Inuyasha merely watched from the dining room doorway as his father and brother greeted the fellow king. His concern was intercepting Rin and Kagome as they arrived for dinner to make sure they avoided contact.
“Uncle Inu!” Rin bounced up and hugged him.
He picked her up, holding her with one arm. “Did you have fun shopping?”
“Yeah! I got some pretty new dresses!”
“That’s awesome,” Inuyasha smiled. “And good evening Ms. Tanaka.”
“Good evening, your highness.”
“Due to a guest, the normal seating has been slightly rearranged,” he gestured for her to follow him. “I’ll show you both to your seats.”
“That’s kind of you,” Kagome smiled and did as she was told.
As the trio walked through the dining room. Inuyasha kept his side gaze trained on Naraku to see how he would react to an unfamiliar face. The man was already seated next to his father and brother chatting, but clearly aware of their entrance. For just a brief second Inuyasha swore Naraku was staring hard at Kagome but caught himself quickly once he saw Inuyasha looking in his direction and pretended not to notice Kagome at all. ‘Weird,’ Inuyasha thought to himself. With human curiosity it’s normal to react to a new face, but not to ignore, especially a pretty one like Naraku had just done. He knew he couldn’t say anything out loud about it, so he just stayed observant.
The rest of dinner went without incident until the Inutaisho invited Naraku to join he and Sesshomaru in another room for more official business. Inuyasha watched carefully as the three men left the room, but just outside of the door and his hearing, he saw Naraku stop his personal guard and whisper something in the man’s ear. The guard then glanced back at the dining table where the rest of them were still seated, and yet again he could have sworn the men were looking at Kagome!
Inuyasha leaned over and whispered to Kagome. “Once you put Rin to bed, stay in your room and keep the door locked.”
“Is something wrong?” She whispered back. “Is it because of who you and Miroku was talking about earlier?”
“Yeah. I’m probably just being paranoid, but he just gives me really bad vibes.”
“O-Okay. Sure, I’ll just stay in my room reading.”
“Good.”
The following morning, Inuyasha woke up early to watch Naraku and his entourage leave. According to Miroku, no incidents were noticed, so he could breathe a sigh of relief. Perhaps he had been a little paranoid… that is until his father mentioned something. Naraku had asked the Inutaisho about Kagome before leaving. Inuyasha’s father assured his son that it was just an innocent question since Rin had a different attendant the last time the foreign king had visited. Innocent or not, why would Naraku care about a servant? Inuyasha chalked it up to the fact Kagome was a beautiful woman, so it must have just gained that kings attention. But since nothing more came from it, he filed it away in the back of his mind for future reference.

More Artoria x Guinevere I WILL fill this tag with my own two hands
Hi! I wrote something for my dear friend’s au @cestacruz. Basically this is an AU where instead of Gilgamesh, it’s Artoria who stays around for ten years, which results in Shirou summoning Mordred, and Rin summoning Guinevere as an archer.
Basically this scene is Guinevere finding out about Artoria’s wish for the holy grail.
“So you’re going to abandon everything? You’re going to erase all that we built together? All that YOU built?” Guinevere’s rage continued to grow, she was frustrated, maddened by this behavior, this foolish thought… “Have you stopped to consider what we all might feel about this?”
“Those trivial matters, if it means everyone survives, and Britain is saved, then I will gladly toss away everyone’s feelings.” Artoria glared back, challenging her.
“I… Britain is FINE! Have you considered what could happen if you change the past? Why would you save a country that is currently in peace, and doesn’t need you?”
“Those are not my people. OUR people lost everything, I want to save them. I want to give them a better ending.”
“You’re stupid, you are SO stupid!” Guinevere shook her head, in disbelief. “All of this, all of this happened not because of you, the world does not center around YOU.” She yelled, blinking back tears. “As much as you want to get credit over ruining your country, you did not! I did, okay? Lancelot did! Mordred did! We ALL had a hand in it, so stop acting like you’re some sort of tragic martyr, because all I see before me is an IDIOT who thinks too highly of herself!”
“How dare you?” Artoria’s eyes darkened. “I would sacrifice everything for it!”
“And look where that got you! Dead alone with no one to mourn you! Is that what you wanted?!” Guinevere’s eyes welled up with more tears. “Do you know what everyone in the castle would say about you?And your knights? Do you have any idea how much your precious people don’t care about you? Do you know how it felt hearing them say such cruel things and not being able to stop them? Do you know how it felt to hear that you died and I couldn’t even say goodbye to you?!”
Artoria’s expression was unchanged, and Guinevere’s disappointment has reached its limit.
It was a fact that she did not care for her feelings, so there was no need to feel upset about it anymore.
“If you want to be such a great king, then it’s about time that you make up for your past mistakes.” Guinevere pulled one of her daggers, and pointed towards her. “Execute me.”
“What is this nonsense, Guinevere?” Artoria dismissed her.
Guinevere laughed, dryly. “What? You did not hesitate to try and execute me before, I’m sure this won’t mean anything to you.”
“Look just drop this matter-”
“I won’t.” Guinevere insisted she has had enough. “I have no wishes for the grail, I only want to atone for my sins, so if you still refuse to do so, I will just do it myself.”
The archer did not wait for an answer, and drove the dagger right towards her heart, Artoria stopped her just in time, grabbing the dagger by the edge, cutting her own hand in the process.
“What are you doing?!” Guinevere tried to fight back, and pull the dagger away.
“Would you… be quiet for ONE second?”
“Huh?! I’ve been quiet all my life, and you’re not my king anymore I can do whatever I want-”
Guinevere could not finish her sentence, not when Artoria pushed her back, kissing her. Shocked, she let the dagger fall down, and felt Artoria’s bloodied hand lock with hers.
Huh? That’s weird, was this the first time she ever felt her hand in hers? This was the first time she kissed her. Artoria’s lips were soft, nothing like her cold behavior.
Guinevere closed her eyes, and her free hand gripped Artoria’s shirt, and all her thoughts quieted down.
She felt a thumb gently tracing the back of her hand.
Artoria pulled away, but did not let her go. Her face was flushed, and she was panting, and it was a sight Guinevere has never seen before, and she gulped, trying to recollect her thoughts.
“Finally you’re… quiet…” Artoria stared at their locked hands, then at the dagger below them. She pushed it away with her foot. “Look, Guinevere…”
“Wait did you kiss me to shut me up?!” Guinevere’s eyes shot wide, and Artoria sighed, and kissed her again before she would start ranting.
And Guinevere fell for it again.
“OW!” Artoria pulled away. “Why did you bite me?!”
“Because you are an asshole.”
Artoria rolled her eyes. Her wife was incredibly frustrating. “Look, I am not your king, you are right. That’s why I can make my choice this time, I have no reason to execute you.”
“You have no reason to save Britain either.”
Artoria groaned.
“Would you drop that?”
“No!”
“Listen I! I’m sorry.” Artoria’s eyes softened, and her posture slouched. “I prayed for Lancelot to arrive, so that I would have an excuse not to execute you, but...That cost the lives of Gareth and Gaheris. If only I had been brave…”
“You’re blaming yourself again.”
“Of course I am. I failed you. I failed everyone, I wish I could just rip my heart out then maybe then I could have done better. I was weak…” She let out a shaky breath. “I don’t want to be happy, I… I’m scared of being happy when everyone I’ve loved is dead.”
“Artoria, why is it that you approved of me and Lancelot? Despite it being treason?” Artoria blinked, and was about to answer, if not for Guinevere cutting her off. “We failed our duties, failed everyone around us, but you still wanted us to seek happiness. Why can’t you give the same treatment to yourself?”
“I…”
“You can never be a perfect king, in fact, you are the most imperfect mess I have ever seen.”
“That is hurtful, Guinevere.”
“Good… But you know… I love that about you. You could never fit into that role, because you were so kind, so human… I’ve seen trying to hold back tears after every cruel act you had to make, I’ve seen you mourn Gareth and Gaheris, and recently I’ve seen the way you look at Mordred. A perfect king can feel no emotions, but then why is your heart beating so loud?” She placed a hand on Artoria’s chest, feeling her heartbeat, and Artoria in return placed a hand on hers, grasping it gently.
There was a pause, before Artoria finally spoke.
“Guinevere.... You love me?”
Guinevere’s eyes widened, and she pulled back as if struck by lightning. “What?! I give you an important life lesson and this is what you take from it?! Wha? Love you? What are you talking about I don’t…” Her words would have been convincing if not for the fact that her face was on fire and she frantically moved her hands around like a child.
“I see.” Artoria smiled. “We should get going, before Mordred comes looking for us.”
“Wait.” Guinevere bit her lip, contemplating for a moment, before throwing herself into Artoria’s -ready- arms, she held on tighter, as if to make up for lost time , and then she looked up and Artoria’s eyes were soft and gentle, and oh how she missed seeing that warmth, how happy she felt knowing it was not fully destroyed by everyone else.
This time, it was Guinevere who leaned it to kiss her, and Artoria held her close, and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of her wife, for the first time.
That is, until the door opened.
“Hey I’ve been looking everywhere for…” Mordred walked in, and stared for a moment at the couple.
Guinevere quickly pulled away and laughed nervously. “This is not what it looks like.”
“Mordred please don’t tell Illya.”
Mordred squinted.
“ILLYASVIEL!”
“MORDRED!”

For Maddie ( Madelina ? ) because i discovered her a not long time ago : how old is she ? is she more a shy person or the total opposite ? What makes her laugh ? Does she have a talent ? What's her biggest flaw ? Does she have a little secret she is hiding ? Who's her friends ? ( too much questions maybe ? )
*cracks knuckles* Prepare yourself, because Madelina (Maddie for short~!) is one of my oldest and most beloved ocs, so I can ramble quite a bit 'bout her, especially with these questions~
(Which, btw, you can never ask too many questions ;D)
For starters, her name, even though that wasn't one of the questions: Her birthname is Madelina Cotofana, though she later changes it to Madelina Magpie to avoid detection. Magpie is 'Cotofana' translated into English from Romanian.
I usually draw her in the Victorian era, so around that time, she's about 458ish. She was born in 1430 and her body is, for now, permanently stuck at age 25-26.
Maddie's a mixture of shy and outgoing. She's shy when it comes to meeting new people, but once she warms up to you or if she's working behind a shop counter, she's quite open, friendly, and warm.
A lot of things make her laugh, to be honest. Her sense of humor is pretty inclusive, so she'll laugh at anything from a bad pun to a crude joke so long as it's not at anyone's expense or involves violence.
Her talent is cooking and baking! Maddie is a natural born cook and, having lived so long, she knows many, many different recipes from all over Europe and the near-east. During the 20th century, she'll visit other places to learn their cuisines and cultures as well. Her secret ingredient is a large dash of love 🧡
Her biggest flaw is...She doesn't think she's worth much. Thanks to the life she's lived and the abuse she suffered from her father and some of her elder siblings when she was still mortal, she doesn't really think she's good for anything aside from cooking. It's something she's been trying to work on for centuries, especially since she knows she's so much more than just her food, but it's hard to unlearn that train of thought, especially when Events keep happening to make her regress.
She does have a secret she's hiding, but I'm not sure if it counts as little. The secret is she's terrified of churches. Not because she's a vampire, but because of an incident in her past that left her 1) finding her fiance dead on the morning of their wedding and 2) cursed.
Her curse can be a lengthy post on its own, so I'll spare the details for now. Hit me up if you wanna know more about it ;D
As for friends...She's had hundreds and hundreds of friends over the centuries, but sadly, most of them are dead now. She has a few immortal and divine friends, though! Such as the gods Loki and Sigyn. She's also good friends with Jareth the Goblin King who quite enjoys the cranberry streusel muffins she makes (yes, he exists, along with Oberon and Titania and plenty of others).
H o w e v e r, in the AUs I have for her:
The main AU I have for her and which I draw her most often in is for Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler, where she's the Phantomhive baker and one of Ciel's protectors. She becomes a mother-like figure to Finny and Mei-Rin while Bard/Bardroy/Baldroy (he has too many names throughout the translations) becomes her lover.
The newer and second AU I have for her is the Grishaverse au, in which she becomes a member of the Dregs for both her cooking and her healing. She becomes good friends with the Crows.

Finding Me Through You (Part 2)
A Jungkook x Reader Two-shot
Tumblr media
Genre: Angst // comfort (soft) // romance // strangers to friends to lovers // a hybrid AU // college AU //
Warnings: maybe a curse word?
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 4929 for the series. 3400 for this part.
PART ONE (1)
Tumblr media
Summary:   You lose yourself to the feeling of having the man you love, kiss you and it feels like a homecoming. It feels like having the stars align perfectly, it feels like having your world tilt back on its axis. It feels like magic, joy—love.
OR
Jeon Jungkook. The campus heartthrob. Captain of the football team. High School Prom King. Teacher’s favourite. Student body favourite. Anyone, and everyone’s favourite. This is the story of how you went from strangers to best friends to finally lovers and if in the way you somehow found yourself? well that was just a bonus.
Tumblr media
Nearly six months have passed since you first met Jungkook. You were still a little shy and quiet, but with Jungkooks' help and his constant support and soft reassurances, you had slowly started to come out of your shell. You were in no way shape or form anything like Jungkook was, but you also weren't the doormat that you used to be, and for that you were thankful.
You hear the sound of approaching footsteps and before you can turn to take a look, an arm is suddenly over your shoulders pulling you closer into someone's side.
You let out a quiet 'umph' and push your hair back from your eyes, craning your neck up and shooting a glare as your eyes catch that of your best friends.
Jungkook in response only grins wider, ruffling your hair as his hand finds its way to your scalp. With a squeal, you duck and try to push him away, the sound of your laughter ringing in the air like wind chimes in a breeze.
"Stop! Kook, I swear—Eeepppp!" Your warning is cut off as Jungkook moves his hand from your shoulders to your waist and pulls you closer. Your body slams into his and the breath gets knocked out of you from the impact. You blush as you feel his solid, corded muscles from even under the layers of both your hoodies.
It was no secret that your best friend was hot—ridiculously hot, you have always known that. Even in the past when you two had been barely acquaintances at best and strangers at worst, you knew he was hot. But the only difference between now and then was that you didn't care before. However, now as you feel his warmth seep into you from between the layers of your clothes, you can't not care. You avert your eyes from his and scratch your ear, casually pulling your strands free from behind where they were tucked and create a curtain of hair over your flaming red cheeks.
You hear Jungkook laugh at your attempt at ignoring him and feel as he leans down to leave a soft peck on your head. The feel of his full, soft, lips tangible, and real even through the many strands of hair in between.
Sometimes you think Jungkook is the best thing that has ever happened to you, while other times you think your friendship is like a rose, lined with thorns unseen from a distance. Thorns that were your feelings for him, the same feelings which while you couldn't see in the past, now you were fully aware of. The constant prick of them is a presence in your heart both comforting and not.
"What's your next class?" You ask in an attempt to distract him and his attention away from you. It works as you see Jungkook tilt his head to the side and squint into the distance. Deep in his thoughts, as he tries to remember his schedule.
You think it's unfair how good looking your best friend is, how ridiculously, unfairly good looking he is. His eyes, a soft shade of brown that are always warm when looking back into yours, are big and doe-like, forever curious and inviting. Sometimes, you think if you look into them long enough you'll drown in their depths. You'll drown and never find your way back and then you wouldn't want to because you like being lost more, and—that, That scares you.
It scares you so much because you have never felt so strongly before. So powerfully that, it's like every single cell in your body calls out for Jungkook, longs for his presence more than it wishes for water or air. Your feelings have never been so consumingly deep—true and as your eyes track the way your best friend's lips move as he talks, you think maybe you never will again. Not after him.
And somewhere deep in your heart, something twinges painfully at the realization that this is it for you. You will forever be that girl in love with her best friend, the one whose love was, in the end, left unreciprocated.
You snap your gaze away from Jungkook and to the hallway in front of you, as your eyes burn with repressed unshed tears. Tears that you will never let fall, because you would rather choose death over letting Jungkook feel guilt for your feelings.
However, as his hand makes its way back to your waist, the burn grows stronger, the sting in your throat, sharper as you try to ignore the way your heart races, the way the skin under his hand tingles and instead fake a laugh, forcing a normal facade over your longing heart as you continue to pretend like every second of having him close but not yours wasn't slowly killing you.
Tumblr media
You groan as you shift your bag higher up your shoulders, the strain, an annoyance that you hadn't expected to feel in college.
'What's the point of passing out from high school if the textbooks are just going to get thicker and more unbearable?' You think to yourself as you make your way across the campus, to your next class.
As you walk by the cafeteria on your way, from the corner of your eyes you see a group huddled around the edge of the cafeteria. You raise your eyebrows when you see just who is in the centre of that group.
'Ha Rin' your brain supplies in helpfully and you slow your steps, curious to see what Jungkook's ex-girlfriend has been up to, since their breakup last week. They hadn't dated for too long, maybe two weeks. When you look back at it, you don't think that in the time that you have known Jungkook, you have ever seen him date anyone for more than a month.
It was something that confused you at the start, the boy who had stepped up to defend you— a virtual stranger, was actually a player? It had been months since that realization on your part and while you have slowly come to accept that dating was just Jungkooks’ way of living, it always caught you a little by surprise hearing about another one of his breakups.
In some ways, it was a reminder that he would pick every other single girl in college before he'd ever consider dating you, and 'Even then he'll probably choose not to date instead', you think annoyed and a little jealous.
You don't have to look too hard to see what Jungkook must have seen in her. She was undeniably gorgeous, her hair was long and lustrous, her smile wide and beaming. It wasn't hard to see why most guys in your college wanted her, while most girls wanted to be her. You look at the way she throws her head back when she laughs and feel a stab of jealousy run through you at the realisation that, no you'll never be that graceful.
Tamping down the green, ugly feeling in your stomach, you move to walk away from the group. Hurrying past the group in the cafeteria, you walk as quickly as you can to your next class, but before you can leave the cafeteria, you catch a part of their conversation that makes you pause.
"—ugh, seriously I don't know who Jungkook thinks he is but I would never let a guy cheat on me and then continue to date me. I mean can you believe the audacity of that guy, sleeping around with other girls while he's in a relationship with me?! No wonder he's as popular as he is, whoring around through half the college will obviously do that for you. He's honestly disgusting, and I am so glad I broke up with him coz like ugh, walking STD much?"
Your eyes widen as you hear that and register the voice of the speaker as Ha Rin in your brain. Your hands' clench and your claws feel sharp, as your usual iron-clad hold over your anger slowly starts to slip, the more you hear her talk.
She was talking—lying, about the man you were in love with, the man who had painstakingly taken care of you for the past six months, the man who had pulled you out from your own shadow, the man who had held you close and rocked you to sleep as your tears soaked through his shirt on nights when you couldn't even bring yourself to breathe through your tears and snot—too disgusted by your skin.
Jungkook had made you fall in love with yourself, just as much as he had made you fall in love with him. Your best friend was many things, but a cheater he was not.
Blinded by anger and fueled by your newly discovered protective instincts, you march over to their table. Your feet slap hard against the pavement and the sound of you walking, resounds through the cafeteria like an ominous warning before an approaching storm.
-SLAM-
Your palm comes crashing down, over the surface of the table Ha Rin was sitting on as your gaze locks with hers. Her eyes widen and you lean in closer, the blood in your veins thrumming with anger and your breaths coming out in tiny angry huffs. Your hybrid instincts take over as they shift to protect what you consider family, and you let your eyes turn into slits, menacing, dark, and beyond furious.
"I am sorry, I don't think, I heard you right, did you say Jungkook was a cheater?" You ask in a deceptively calm voice and the table under your hand creeks, as you lean in closer to her. Your lips pull back in a snarl as you ask that and you can practically sniff the fear oozing off her as your eyes track the movement in her throat, hear the sound of her gulping.
While Ha Rin was gorgeous, stunning, and elegant in ways you would never be, you were strong, sharp, and lethal, in ways she—a gazelle hybrid would never be.
You pause, watch her pupils shake, track the drops of perspiration across her forehead, and wait for her to answer. After a few minutes of stunned silence pass, you lean back a little as your eyes glance over everyone gathered.
Once you are sure that everyone's attention is on you, you growl out, voice still low but not any less menacing, "Jeon Jungkook is not a cheater. Never was and never will be, and anyone pathetic and desperate enough, to be making up lies like that about him, will be answering to me, and I assure you that I won't be so nice next time."
For the first time ever as you leave a stunned, scared crowd behind in your wake, you feel proud. While you might never be Jungkooks' girlfriend, you were his best friend, and to you, that matters more in all the ways that count.
Tumblr media
Your face feels flushed and your legs feel like Jelly as you walk out of your last period class. Your sudden bout of bravery hadn't quite fully sunk in until you were sitting in your class surrounded by your classmates, most of whom were giving you varying looks ranging from scared, to awed, to impressed?
This feeling of being seen is foreign to you. While your popularity has definitely soared ever since you had started hanging out with Jungkook, it was never because of you or anything you did. You were just Jeon Jungkooks’ best friend.
But this time, it's different.
People are looking at you, seeing you for who you are, and not just as someone's best friend. It is a novel, foreign feeling—one that you haven't felt before, but also one that when you think about it, you would like to feel more often.
You let out a giggle as you think that, your cheeks still flushed, feel warm as you look up at the clear, blue sky. The late afternoon breeze feels cool on your skin as you stroll through the campus grounds, a mile-long grin stretched across your face.
"Y/N!!!"
Before you can turn to greet him back, he is slamming into you, and the breath leaves your body—again.
"Dammit, Kook! You seriously need to stop doing that before you dislocate my spine, you freaking giant of a human" You playfully grumble as you push Jungkook away with a soft huff and push your hair back, wincing a little when your feet still feel a little unsteady.
"Are you kidding me right now, woman?" You hear Jungkook speak and then you are in his arms, your feet off the ground as he holds you up high and all you can do is squeal in surprise.
"The hell Kook! Put me down! What's gotten into you?" You question, your voice shrill and surprised as you wrap your arms around his neck. The thickly corded muscles of his shoulder feel bunched under your grip, and it takes every ounce of self-control that you have, to not blush.
You look down when he doesn't answer and freeze, too lost in your thoughts and worries about blushing, you hadn't noticed how close you two were before.
But now as you look into Jungkooks’ twinkling, deep, brown chocolate eyes, see the small mole under his rosy lower lip, feel the small, warm puffs of his breath on your face, you realize just how close your faces are.
Your breathing goes shallow as your eyes flicker all over his face, trying to capture every single detail—from the scar on his cheek to his fuller lower lip, you trace every single feature of his, your actions seemingly beyond your control.
When your eyes finally snap back to his, you see him already looking back at you, his eyes soft and brimming with fondness, and you don't know—don't understand why.
"Wh-what is this about?" You ask softly, not wanting to break whatever spell has been cast, whatever bubble, the two of you have built.
Jungkook hums, the sound coming from somewhere deep in his chest, echoing and flowing into you, from where you are pressed tight close to him.
His eyes search yours and yours shy away, flicker down to his throat where you see his Adam's apple bob, as he swallows and suddenly you feel parched.
"You fought for me." He states, and your eyes snap back over to his.
"Huh?" You reply back incoherently as your thoughts feel fuzzy and unclear, so close to him.
"At the cafeteria, you fought with Ha Rin for me, defended my honour. Why? You don't like confrontations, why did you do it then?" Jungkook asks as he slowly lowers you back to the ground, your chests brush against each other, not a sliver of space between the two of you and your hands unconsciously grip his shoulders tighter, too afraid to let go and somehow lose this closeness.
You try to think through the fog in your mind to find out what Jungkook is talking about.
However, your remembrance of the scene from the cafeteria earlier serves as a bucket of ice-cold water being poured over you, and you are snapping back to reality, stumbling away from him as your cheeks flush and your heart races. You suddenly wish to run far, far away. Avoid this conversation, as all your bravado from earlier slips and flows down the metaphorical drain, leaving you feeling vulnerable, naked.
'Stupid. Stupid! How are you going to explain that, you idiot?' your panicked brain supplies before continuing, 'As if having feelings for your best friend wasn't bad enough already, now him and probably the entire university knows about it too.'
You try to create some distance between the two of you, but before you can move too far Jungkooks’ hand wraps around your wrist and pulls you closer to him. Your sweaty, cold hand leeches away at his warmth as you try not to make eye contact with him, your hope is to be subtle, but you don't think you are.
"Hey, listen to me," He says and grabs your chin softly, turning your face closer to him as his thumb absently rubs over the cleft in your chin. The feel of his calloused thumb over the soft skin of your chin has your face bursting in colour as your pulse rises embarrassingly fast.
You try to mumble out a 'yes', but it sounds incoherent even to your ears, and so you clear your throat and try again, voicing out a soft 'yeah' instead. It isn't much of an improvement, but you also can't bring yourself to articulate better and so you just force your eyes to meet Jungkooks’ and hope that he understands.
Thankfully, he does and then proceeds to take the lead.
"Hey, it's alright okay? I am not mad or angry or whatever it is that you think I am feeling in that head of yours" He says, tapping your temple softly to emphasise his point and then continues, "I think what you did today was brave, admirable and badass!" At this he grins and gives you a little shake until you finally let out a smile off your own slip and snort out a soft "dork" under your breath.
"I am proud of you."
Your eyes soften as you hear that and you feel your eyes burn again with unshed tears.
You let your eyes lock with Jungkooks and feel as his grip over your chin loosens and both his hands, travel to your cheeks, finally curling around your jaw and cradling your face, his fingers slipping behind your ears and softly caressing the sensitive skin there.
The feel of his hands splayed over your skin like that, so soft, so gentle—as though you are an invaluable porcelain doll, has tears springing to your eyes.
Tiny, warm, tear droplets pool out of your eyes and slip down your cheeks.
The sight of your tears has Jungkook tightening his grip on you, his face inching closer to yours as your hands find their way to his hoodie, grasping the material and fisting it.
"I love you," You tell him, tired of keeping your feelings to yourself, you finally let them out. Let your lips form the words, your heart feels every time he is close to you, every time he looks at you as though you are his entire world.
Maybe you are deluding yourself, imagining things you want, wishing for things that aren't there. But as you look back into Jungkooks’ eye, see them still softened, warm, gentle and brimming with love, you think maybe you're not. Maybe, just maybe, your best friend is in love with you too.
You inch closer, hesitant but assured by the knowledge that Jungkook hadn't yet pushed you away either.
You move an inch and Jungkook moves two, the two of you closing the space between together. Symbolic of how your relationship works, how the two of you always stand for each other, protecting, caring—loving, the other.
Your lips touch his and the first caress, leaves a shiver down your spine. The feel of his full, soft lip is like paradise between your lips. The feeling, everything that you had hoped, dreamed of and more.
His arms wrap around your waist and bring you closer until there isn't a hairsbreadth of space between you two.Your lips move against each other, full of pecks, soft bites, tongue, lust and love.
Pulling back away from you, he looks into your eyes and you no longer see a boy or a man. No, you see your entire world, your rock, the being your very soul is in love with.
And then he says, "I love you too" and it's perfect. This moment the two of you have created—magical, surreal, beautiful and oh so perfect.
You laugh and it comes out sounding wobbly. You think you might be crying but then you look at Jungkook and he is crying, and you think it's okay, and then you kiss him again. Your cheeks touch and his tears mix with yours and it feels like nirvana.
You lose yourself to the feeling of having the man you love, kiss you and it feels like a homecoming. It feels like having the stars align perfectly, it feels like having your world tilt back on its axis. It feels like magic, joy—love.

Can I ask for some modern horror au Black Butler headcanons?
YES because this is sort of similar to an RP I’m in AND corresponds w/ an AU or two I have (I’m just gonna write them as humans here unless specified otherwise). Thank you for sending this!!:
Sebastian is one of the first people to die. It’s nothing personal, I just see him as dying quickly because it’s unexpected. FAR less likely to die if he’s dealing with something paranormal. He’s more experienced when it comes to that. People would just want to kill Sebastian, I’m not gonna lie. However, Sebastian is Ciel’s guardian so he’ll definitely protect him, sacrificing his life if needed. Seb would definitely be some sort of influencer and or “accountant”. He makes decent money - enough to support a comfortable life for him and Ciel - but it’s not important to him.
Ciel is definitely survivor material despite accepting death. He does rely on Sebastian for a lot of things, but I also see him as at least somewhat self-sufficient while with Sebastian. If Sebastian dies, he instantly becomes more self-sufficient in order to survive.
Mey-Rin, Bardroy, and Finnian all live together; Bard is essentially their dad despite being their friend (he’s older than them so it works), while Mey-Rin and Finny often work with Sebastian and sometimes hang out with Ciel. Finny is only four years older than Ciel while Mey-Rin is a few years younger than Sebastian. They’re definitely still comic relief but they’re all knowledgeable about survival and WILL survive when they’re on their own. With Sebastian and Ciel around, their survival rate goes down.
Grell is VERY genre-savvy to the point where she survives at least halfway-through the horror or IS the horror. She still has her chainsaw, of course. She still likes blood and the color red. It’s only fair to say that she’s not opposed to the idea of causing some chaos. That said, I still see her as an ally to Sebastian and Ciel. Perhaps she would just be the one to fight the big bad horror. She’d definitely be a beauty guru that also talks about true crime.
William was Grell’s major crush (aside from Sebastian, a man she briefly dated) but she moved on to date Hannah. He’ll surely die with unrequited love towards her and a small crush on Sebastian (or was he just jealous that Sebastian had had what he now wanted?). He’s a business man. Doesn’t believe in ghosts or the paranormal.
Ronald is Grell’s BFF. While he’s not dumb, he’s very brave and even foolhardy. This leads him to investigating areas and topics that could lead to his death. Very fun still, I love him so much. Also an influencer like Seb, but lives more modestly because he doesn’t have a child used to a rich lifestyle to take care of.
Alois puts up a tough front, but he’s deathly scared. Even more clingy and doesn’t want to leave the house. If he thought about how horror could lurk inside his own home, he’d probably implode. Definitely a victim type (sorry bud).
Claude screams genre-savvy to me as well, but in a different way than Grell. I see both of them as horror and true crime fans, but Claude is quiet about it. I see him most likely surviving or surviving to the end. I do see him being a potential big bad horror (in fact, he’d definitely kill Sebastian if given the chance). In my AU, he’s a writer who often stays up late, so he’d definitely get to see some spooks.
Hannah Annafellows is Grell’s GF (in my specific AU lol) and works in helping domestic abuse survivors. 100% survivor when it comes to horror. She’s good for it. If I could only choose two characters to survive, it’d be Ciel and Hannah.
Soma and Agni are definitely present (I love these two). Soma is a scaredy-cat and a bit dumb but would somehow survive for a good amount of time. If there’s a slasher, Agni’s going to live longer than Sebastian. If it’s paranormal, it’s a toss up. I still see Soma as Indian royalty but obviously in a much more modern way. Therefore, Agni would also be by his side to help him in the UK (where I imagine this would take place unless they’re explicitly in the USA or going to the USA for a trip.)
I would LOVE to write some drabbles/scenarios of this AU (possibly even inspired by specific horror movies) so if anyone has specific movies in mind, lmk! I’ll either post it here or on AO3 at atmmmmm.

Hello, Princess
Au: Royalty Au
Made with help from @whatshernameis
Words: 1534
Rating: General
Characters: Hatake Kakashi and Konan. Hints of Hatake Kakashi/Maito Gai and Konan/Nohara Rin
Warnings: None
Summary: Parties have never been Kakashi’s favourite scene, but they’re a necessary part of his job protecting the prince. Thankfully, this time, he finds someone to keep him entertained.
Beautiful music.
Extravagant decorations.
Visitors from all over the world mingling and waiting patiently for the star of tonight's gathering to make her appearance.
It was all in place. All that had to happen was the big reveal.
The lights would dim, all eyes would turn to the stairs, and the steward would announce the arrival of Her royal highness, the princess of Amegakure. After that, the party would really begin.
Except, the princess was nowhere to be seen.
At least, not by anyone who wasn’t already looking in the crowd that had already formed in the large ballroom.
It was actually rather rude. Kakashi had put up with having his arrival announced, why did she get to sneak in through the back and act like she had been there the whole time?
He was going to have to take matters into his own hands, or he’d be stuck here all night waiting for a princess who was already there to arrive.
Making his way through the crowd, he zeroed in on the purple-haired princess dressed up in a beautiful red and black dress with a simple necklace and earrings that blended in perfectly with her outfit.
The best outfit a person could pick out for the purpose of blending into a crowd full of people trying desperately to get noticed, yet still leagues fancier than the simple blue tunic that Kakashi had chosen for himself.
Sliding in beside the undercover princess, Kakashi leaned himself against the wall beside her and looked out into the crowd for whatever it was that had caught her attention.
“You know, the party doesn’t start until the beautiful princess walks down the stairs,” He greets the glare she throws his way with a playful smile. “I’m sure the royal guards have been sent out to track down their lovely princess. They’re probably scouring the hallways of the castle as we speak.”
“Don’t you have a prince to keep your eyes on?” She shot back, clearly unimpressed with his poor attempts at a conversation starter. “Or does Konoha only hire the worst knights to guard their prince?”
“I have him in sight,” to prove a point, Kakashi directed her attention at the bright green outfit making its way through the room as the prince introduced himself to everyone that he could. “He doesn’t need me interrupting his attempts to make friends. I would just make it awkward.”
“Yet, here you are,” waving a hand between the two of them, she huffed when Kakashi responded with a simple shrug of his shoulders. “I don’t suppose there’s any way to convince you not to tell them where I am?”
“And ruin the show?” chuckling, Kakashi watched as his prince moved onto the next person. This time deciding to chat up a woman about their age in a beautiful purple dress. Princess Rin if he remembered correctly. Single and likely here to secure herself a marriage arrangement with one of the people that Princess Konan did not choose for herself. If she even made a choice at all tonight. “It’s actually kind of fun to watch your knights scramble around the place searching for you, not realizing that you’re right where you’re supposed to be.”
He’d call them stupid, but the Prince was always getting on his case about being ‘rude’ to other people.
“In that case, is there an actual reason that you’re here?” She turned her attention away from him, focusing once more on the crowded room. “Or are you just bored and in need of entertainment?”
‘Bored’ was certainly not a word he would usually use to describe his life. Not with someone like Prince Gai around to make sure there was always something interesting going on. Even if that ‘something interesting’ was a five am wake-up call so that he could do laps around the castle garden with his favorite knight at his side.
Though, in this case, it might actually be a fitting descriptor for how he was feeling. His Prince's attentions were focused on other people, and as long as he had him in sight and nothing was going wrong, Kakashi really had nothing much to do.
So ‘bored’ actually might be exactly what he was, but he wasn’t going to admit it.
“Have you chosen someone?” leaning in a bit closer, he tried to follow her line of sight. To see if there was anyone particular that she was watching. She seemed to pick up on this quickly though and instantly shifted her eyes back to him. “Come on now, it’s a simple question. This is supposed to be a night dedicated to you finding someone worthy of ruling a kingdom with. Surely you have someone in mind.”
Any good future monarch would have done their research before a big ball like this. Save themselves some trouble having to sit down with every single person and get to know them. Or, if it was the most advantageous alliance that Amegakure was looking for surely she would have studied up on which villages would be of the greatest benefit to her own.
Military strength, economic prosperity, other allegiances to be gained through a union of the two villages. There were a lot of things for a future monarch to examine before choosing the person they would dedicate themselves to for the rest of their lives.
He should know. He had been there by his Princes side when he went through the same endless task that Princess Konan no doubt found herself faced with now.
“What did he do?” Raised an eyebrow, Kakashi waited for the Princess to elaborate on her question. “Your Prince. I heard he didn’t even have a ball to choose his partner.”
“He didn’t,” there was supposed to be one of course. Just as Prince Obito had a ball, and Princess Kurenai, and even Princess Konan here at her own ball. It was expected that there would be a celebration for the Prince or Princess to meet with their possible matches and choose from the people placed in front of them. But his Prince, Gai, had chosen not to have such a celebration. “He couldn’t choose any of the people he was presented with as options, so the ball never happened.”
The Princesses eyes widened.
“That...that’s allowed?”
“It depends on one’s parents,” he admitted, his smile covered by the cloth mask that he kept over the bottom half of his face. “Prince Gai’s father has never been one to force his son into doing something he does not want to. After all, he himself was never married. The Prince was born in an agreement between him and the Princess of Iwagakure and was raised by the King alone.”
It was certainly not a common occurrence, but it was one that had allowed the Prince more freedom than others of his rank.
The Princess made a disapproving sound, her eyes returning to the floor in front of her. Except for this time, Kakashi could see exactly where it was she was looking. It was hard not to after all when her eyes wandered to the same spot as his own. Though, Prince Gai didn’t really seem like her type, meaning…
“You know, she has been having troubles picking someone out herself,” If looks could kill, he would be dead. With angry eyes, the Princess reached out to smack his arm, only to have him step out of the way just in time. “If you want, I could introduce you to her.”
Extracting her hand from his grasp, Konan examined him for a moment. Almost as if she was sizing him up. Trying to figure out if he was trustworthy.
“I’m a knight,” he reminded her softly. “I have no reason to do you any harm.”
“You could simply wish to see me embarrass myself.” She argued.
“Princess, I assure you that is not my goal,” Holding out an arm towards her, Kakashi gave her the best smile that he could come up with. Probably not a very welcoming smile, considering his face was usually hidden behind his armor and he wasn’t actually used to smiling at other people anymore. But it was a genuine smile. “The only person I ever aim to embarrass is Prince Obito.”
Speaking of which, maybe after he had introduced Princess Konan to Rin he would be able to find his old friend. It wasn’t truly a party until he managed to embarrass Obito in front of multiple people.
Processing his words, the Princess finally reached out to grab hold of his arm and allowed him to start leading her through the crowd towards the spot where Gai and Rin were still speaking.
It was kind of funny when he thought about it.
Princess Konan’s knights were running around the castle desperately searching for her so that the ball could officially start, all while Kakashi led her highness towards the one person she hadn’t been able to take her eyes off of when she should have been more focused on keeping out of sight.
Maybe if things went well, there would be another couple for Gai and him to spend time with, outside of peace talks and war rooms.

Any more ideas about this Prince/Princess fantasy AU for ObiRin? Who are the first to find out about their secret relation? And What do they all think about it? And how will their parents reacts when the find out?
Regarding the Sharingan, Obito shows Rin the eyes that he wields and is said that it has taken him years to awaken these eyes that are said to see beyond reality.
About other characters, they're all there, they all have a role somehow. All other female characters are a part of the Land of Fire, except for Chojuro and Mei Terumi. Mei happens to be Rin's widowed maternal aunt in this AU who has been exiled due to breaking the rules and opposing certain rulings of the government, and she lives her life as a traveler with her son Chojuro (for now).
Kakashi is the first one to know about Obito's secret, and even though he warns Obito about the consequences, he still supports him and hides him.
Madara who is the king of the Land of Fire, has been growing overly suspicious about Obito's absence, and so he secretly sends spies (shinobis) to follow and find out where he tends to disappear to.
When the spies report that Obito has been seeing a woman from the Land of Water - and that woman happens to be the princess, Madara grows furious at how much risk Obito has just put the entire country through, and decides that he needs to separate them immediately. The word anonymously reaches Rin's father.
When Rin and Obito meet secretly, they get ambushed by samurais and ninjas from both of their respective nations. Obito fights against them, and Rin gets held down by two samurais from her country. When she sees Obito struggling against his own, Rin's subconscious screams for Isobu, and Rin gets into Level-1 Tailed Beast Mode, and the shockwave of Isobu's chakra blasts them off and she immediately rushes towards Obito and holds him as she glares at all the spies.
Isobu's chakra immediately dissipates, and Rin gets dizzy and exhausted since she has not fully mastered controlling the Tailed Beast, but Isobu does his best to protect her. Obito holds her tightly to him even though he is unable to process what she truly is, but then they get pulled away from each other, and the two of them scream each other's name as they try to reach out for one another. The shogun then steps in and says, "To think that this whole time you've been seeing a Jinchuuriki. I don't even want to know what His Majesty would do to you."
Obito remains silent, gritting his teeth angrily as he stares at Rin with a confused and hurt expression on his face because she never told him she had a Tailed Beast inside her. Rin tells him that she was never going to hurt him and that she was no danger to anyone. Before any of them could say anything further, the ninjas surrounding them throw a smoke bomb and so both sides vanish from their spots back to their countries.
Madara and Obito face each other in the court, and are left alone upon Madara's demands. Madara immediately strikes Obito for his foolishness, and Obito glares at him with his Sharingan as an act of defiance, enraging him further. "Falling in love with a Jinchuuriki... the carriers of a catastrophe...Hmph. I would have commended you if your scheme was to make her fall for you for our own gains, but you keeping it all a secret speaks otherwise. You are never to see her again. She is our enemy. You two can only be together in an eternal dream." Madara then places Obito under severe house-arrest.
Rin, however, is severely punished. Her father strikes her, her mother is locked away so that she does not interfere with her father's punishment, he locks his daughter in a tower for 3 months before she returns to the palace and is also placed under house-arrest. Isobu tries to protect her, but Rin stops him or else they will do something to him too, and the last thing she needs to lose is her only friend.

9, 19 Shuri - Lou
Thank you so much for this ask! They’re honestly my favorite ship. 🥺 For all answers, this will be in a Yuri lives AU, and they are living together while coparenting the twins. I’m also am going to say Shiro is more comfortable with sharing his emotions and being affectionate now that they’re in a relationship.
9. Do they discuss big issues? Religion? Marriage? Children? Death?
I feel it would depend. Religion, I don’t see being discussed very much, because I don’t think either are very devout. I feel for marriage and children, those were both discussions they kind of put off until the twins were older. It was a pretty domestic living situation for a time, and both were content. I have a hard time determining who would ask, but I feel it would eventually be Yuri. And when she did ask about marriage, Shiro kind of responding to her like, “Well now that you mention it, man we practically have been married for the last 15 years. Damn.” And that leading into a realization on both of them that, maybe it would be nice to make it official. Children, in the sense of having more, I feel would follow the question of marriage. For the most part, it’s something they end up going back and forth on. Lastly death, I can see being the one conversation neither ever really wants to talk about. As both of them has nearly lost the other, they don’t like thinking about it. If one of them brings up their own mortality, the other is very tempted to change the subject as quick as they can.
19. What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?
As they both have some very differing world views on stuff like demons, I do believe they do get into arguments. I feel the thing they argue the most over, would be the twins and how to raise them. I can see Yuri being very against some of Shiro’s canon decisions, like hiding the existence of demons from Rin or training Yukio. I feel like if they raise the twins together, this would be a point of tension. I don’t see them having a tendency for petty arguments, so when they do argue, it’s not always pretty, and I can see them both trying to argue away from the twins. Yuri, I feel would try to hold back her anger in an argument, having it leak through very subtly. She also strikes me as the type to make Shiro face some uncomfortable truths with how he feels, sometimes unintentionally. Shiro on the other hand, I imagine would imagine to start similar to Yuri, holding back anger, but is much quicker to snap and say something he regrets. Ngl, I feel like when Yuri does strike a chord in him, he’d have a habit of wanting to get defensive. Despite all of that though, I do think they’d be good at making up. Although I feel Shiro is the type to be quick to anger, I feel he’d be just as quick to regret and apologizing to Yuri for saying something. Yuri, I feel would need a little more time. If an argument gets really heated, I can see Yuri kind of walking away from it, and wanting space. When she does that, I feel Shiro would leave her for a little while, doing stuff for her, before coming to her to give her a more formal apology. Holding her hand, asking her how she feels, and then apologizing. Afterwards, pulling her closer and letting her know how much he loves her, and cracking some jokes to make her laugh. For Yuri, it’s tougher for me, since I feel she would be the type to be good at picking her battles, and have less of a tendency to say things she regrets. By no means do I think she’s the type not to apologize, but I feel there’s less of a need for her to apologize if that makes sense. However, I can see Yuri’s apologies being more casual than Shiro’s for some reason. Usually just pulling him aside, and being very open about where she went wrong. Quite often, there’s still a lot of lingering disagreement, but neither enjoys being angry with the other. I can also see after a lot of talking, they eventually can compromise. Teach Yukio exorcism, but nothing dangerous or overworking. Rin can remain sealed, but try to ease him into the world of demons. Etc etc.

Hhhh time to drop more info on my kuroshitsuji reincarnation au I guess. I've actually written a bit of a prologue now and have started plotting things out better so it's less of a jumbled mess.
While o!ciel doesn't properly remember things from his previous life at first, he feels a big connection with the funtom company. It was shut down three years after it started despite doing well as a company, but researching all those old designs makes him feel happy and proud.
Sebastian and Grell are kind of friends by the 21sy century. Sometimes they play board games at phantomhive manor, though it's in a state of disrepair from years without proper care.
Sebastian took good care of a lot of the servants/o!ciel's things despite his claims of having not been bothered by their deaths and he keeps them in the basement of phantomhive manor. He shows all of this to o!ciel after a certain plot point in the au where Sebastian starts to realise that maybe he does care. O!ciel realises at this moment that he's never going to see the servants again and cries over it ✌😔 afterwards he takes one thing for each one, all things that he had gotten them in his past life. Mey-rin's glasses, finny's straw hat, the tin of candy he bought for bard, and the big bag he got for snake. He starts using snake's bag as his go-to one, and this marks the end of the first arc of the au. Once they all reunite again he gives them back their things and ask if they'll stick by him in this life too, but as family this time, and they tell him that they always saw themselves as family anyway. Also,, group hug and Sebastian gets forced into it. Get over here loser ur part of the family.
It really varies on how much characters remember from their past lives. Bard wasn't always very aware of his memories but he's older than the others and has pretty much remembered everything by the time the plot starts happening in the au. He spent a while in his early twenties being pretty lost after realising he won't meet the people in his memories but he picks himself up afterwards. At the moment he's living near he phantomhive manor because of nostalgia.
Snake doesn't remember anything at first. He eventually meets bard, who recognises him and helps him get a job at the zoo in town since bard knows the locals and knows that snake loves snakes. Snake starts to remember things though he doesn't talk about it for a while, and after accidentally stealing all the snakes from the zoo because he just really wanted the snakes and the snakes like him, he starts living with bard.
Finny has lived in Germany for the whole of this life. He'd known some German in the emerald witch arc so I just took that and headcanon him as German. As a child he hasn't understood that his family were his family. In his mind he already had a family with the young master and the phantomhive servants and he didn't want this different more normal one. He meets sieglinde at school and though she doesn't remember anything she's very enthused about ghost stories and has always wanted to go to phantomhive manor because it's said to be haunted by a demon. So finnian joins sieglinde and her adoptive father wolfram on their holiday to England, which is when he meets o!ciel for the first time in this new life.
I haven't worked out mey-rin's backstory in this au yet but either she barely recognises them all at the start or she is overjoyed to meet them again.
There's definitely going to be an arc about Lizzy and Edward though I haven't figures that out yet or what their lives in this au are like. I'm thinking this would build up to meeting r!ciel in the au, and then as the relationship between r!ciel and o!ciel is on rocky grounds the main plot gets thrown at everyone.
Another thing to say is that this hasn't been tied into the plot yet but agni owns a cafe and soma is a regular customer. And across the road is lau and ran mao and idk what their store is yet but they have a friendly rivalry with agni
