Artoria always believed in facing her mistakes head-on, in confronting and correcting them. Yet, staring at the angry, broken shell of a man she’d once called Lancelot, she didn’t know how to respond. Standing on the docks, she lowered her sword, her grip slack. “Lancelot?”

He roared, enraged and full of pain. It was the sound of Camelot crashing down, of all of her sins accumulating into a single person. Artoria had always known her rule had been a mistake but this only confirmed it. This angry demon was nothing like the kind knight she’d known.

It was all her fault. She clenched her hand tightly and bowed her head. “Forgive me.”

That only made him angrier. She flinched as he took a step forward and roared once more. However, before he could make another move, he dematerialized, no doubt called back by his master. Artoria stared at the particles that once made the berserker, at the choppy waters now visible from behind where he’d stood. In the night, the waters were chaotic and unruly.

Closing her eyes, she sighed. “I suppose there’s no way you could.”

There was a soft tap behind her as Kiritsugu landed on the concrete. Turning around, she found he was already packed up, his rifle safely tucked away in its case. His long trench coat rustled in the wind as he started walking to his car. “We’re going.”

As usual, he didn’t ask for her input, but she wasn’t in the mood to argue. Not when she could still hear Lancelot’s roars in her ears. It took her back to when Guinevere had confessed her affair, to when her knights had left her side. To Mordred’s battle cry as they fought and Tristan’s cries as Camelot splintered.

The king doesn’t understand the hearts of men.

No, she didn’t. Maybe she never had. Maybe her rule had been doomed from the start. What sort of king didn’t know his own subjects? Her hand clenched into a fist. “Can I even atone that?”

Artoria hadn’t meant to say any of that aloud. Quickly, she glanced at Kiritsugu, but he didn’t say anything. Perhaps he hadn’t heard or, more likely, didn’t care, Sometimes, when she looked at him, she could see just what her people had seen in her: a heartless leader.

It was no wonder they’d all rebelled. They would have been better off without her.

When they reached the car, Kiritsugu opened the passenger door but didn’t slip inside. When she stared at him curiously over the car’s roof, he muttered, “Some things can never be forgiven.”

She gazed at him blankly before realizing he was replying to her earlier words. “You…”

“Some sins are too big.” His eyes were on her now, cold as ice. “You just have to live with it.”

Artoria clenched her teeth as he slipped in the car, hating the truth ringing in his words.

“Forgiveness?” Gilgamesh snorted elegantly, raising a perfectly groomed eyebrow as he looked at her over the top of his goblet. When she didn’t say anything, just glared at him, he threw his head back and laughed. “You really have the strangest ideas of what a ‘king’ is.”

“What?” Artoria retorted, trying and failing to keep her temper down. She had no idea why she continued to meet the other two kings in the Einzbern castle. The silvery flowers around them glowed softly in the moonlight, the golden goblets filled with a fragrant aroma of a ruby red wine, and every part of this scene was ruined by the two Servants sitting across from her.

Semi-serious now, Gilgamesh swirled his drink before taking a refined sip. “That word doesn’t exist for a ruler.”

Iskandar guffawed heartily, reaching over to pat her on the shoulder. With his strength, it took all of her concentration to make sure she didn’t fall over. “A leader leads! The others follow—what is there to forgive or regret?”

“Even the oaf understands it,” Gilgamesh added, giving Iskandar a dismissive look.

Disgruntled, Artoria looked down into her goblet. Her reflection trembled in the dark wine. These two should never have led anything, let alone entire countries, but she couldn’t deny she was drawn to their confidence. If she had that arrogance, perhaps Camelot wouldn’t have fallen.

Gawain had exuded the same sort of charisma and he’d often been surrounded by knights and peasants alike. He had known the hearts of men. He had seen her people, talked to them, and been welcomed by them.

She couldn’t say the same for herself. For all her subjects’ words of loyalty, she had only ever been followed from a distance.

And from a distance, they watched her die.

Artoria gripped her goblet. “And if your subjects are harmed by your actions?”

“So?” Gilgamesh curled his lips. “What of it? If they don’t like it, they can try to steal my power.”

Iskandar gulped down his goblet and slammed it down. Wiping his mouth, he leaned forward and smirked. “Ohh? That sounds fun.”

Gilgamesh eyed him. “You could provide maybe a few minutes of distraction.”

Or maybe Camelot would have collapsed even earlier if these two had led it. Artoria ignored them, taking a sip of wine. It had been foolish of her to have expected anything else from them; these kings had never once thought of their people.

Regret was for kings who cared, and she doubted they’d ever done that.

“Forgiveness?” Under the silver moonlight, Irisviel looked absolutely ethereal. She tore her eyes away from the stars to look at Artoria, puzzled. “What do you mean?”

Artoria glanced at the sake bottle that sat between them, at the two cups they’d spent the past half hour drinking from. She wasn’t sure why she’d agreed to these moon-watching sessions. The compound was big, Irisviel vulnerable, and if Kiritsugu wasn’t willing to protect his wife, then she had to. Yet, it was impossible to say no when Irisviel asked her to join in. Impossible to stay far away when a soft hand tugged her down to sit.

“I…” Artoria peeked up. Irisviel smiled kindly. Blaming it on the alcohol, she pushed on, “If you make a terrible mistake…is it possible to be forgiven?”

“Yes,” Irisviel answered immediately, no hesitation at all in her voice.

Not expecting such a quick answer, Artoria resisted the urge to gape. “I am talking about a terrible crime, one that has harmed many innocents.”

Firmly, Irisviel repeated, “Yes.”

“That’s…” Artoria didn’t even know how to respond to such determination. “Why?”

Irisviel rested her hand on Artoria’s. “Do you regret it?”

“Yes.”

She interlaced their fingers. “Do you want to fix it?”

Artoria closed her eyes wearily. “Yes.”

Irisviel smiled broadly now. “Then yes, you can be forgiven.” Sensing Artoria wasn’t convinced, she giggled. “You and my husband are exactly the same. Neither of you believe me, but everyone deserves a chance to atone and be forgiven.”

Part of her rankled at the comparison. Pushing past it, Artoria asked softly, “Aren’t some crimes too big for that?”

“Some can feel that way.” Irisviel looked up at the full moon. No doubt she was thinking of Kiritsugu. Her expression softened, as it always did, and Artoria wondered what it would take to convince this tender-hearted woman to leave this dangerous game. “The more blood on your hands, the more impossible it feels.”

“Then—”

“But it’s not true,” she interrupted firmly, turning back to Artoria. “All that means is that you have to atone more. There’s no such thing as too big.”

It must be nice, to have such a kind, naïve viewpoint. Artoria couldn’t remember the last time she’d thought like that. Before she’d taken on her mantle as king, maybe. In the early days when she’d just been Artoria, a wandering swordsman helping others. “No matter how much you atone, some things can’t be forgiven.”

“By others, or by yourself? You both say this exact same thing and I don’t agree. Others might never forgive you, but you still have to try for yourself.” Irisviel sighed, leaning against Artoria’s shoulder. “Then, if you won’t allow yourself compassion, I hope you get kindness. I hope that one day you might forgive yourself. I hope that one day you allow yourself happiness.”

Artoria didn’t reply, content to just soak in Irisviel’s warmth. For a moment, just a moment, she wanted to live in that world Irisviel saw, however improbable it was.

“Forgiveness?” Diarmuid cocked his head, considering the question. No doubt he hadn’t expected her to ask such a thing when he’d arrived for the strategy meeting to take down Caster, but there were few chances for them to interact alone as it was.

Which was a pity, to be honest. Diarmuid was the most reasonable of all the servants and in another time, maybe they could have enjoyed each other’s company. For now, she would make do with his advice. Rubbing her wrist, Artoria nodded. “Yes. Considering all that happened, do you forgive your lord?”

He leaned against the half-forgotten dojo on her master’s land, his eyes trained on the bright blue sky. “It is not my place to forgive my lord.” He chuckled softly. “If anything, it is I who must beg for forgiveness.”

“You were protecting someone,” Artoria pointed out, keeping her gaze on him steady. “Your lord punished you far beyond your crime.”

Diarmuid gave her a sad smile. “Yet he was still my lord. We had a convent, which I broke.” He paused, before lowering his eyes. “Even now, I do not know if my choice was the right one, only that I couldn’t say no.”

He reminded her of her knights, of a chivalry she had feared never existed. If he had been in Camelot, would he have forgiven her? Would he agree with her wish now or tell her to turn from it? “I…is there anything that you wouldn’t have forgiven your lord for?”

Diarmuid stood straight now. “There are things I would have disagreed with, but forgiveness has never been part of that question.” His eyes met hers, and she felt the faint tug of his curse before her abilities nullified it entirely. “The same goes for your people, I am certain.”

“That can’t possibly be true.” Artoria looked away. Despite the knowledge the grail gave, there was no way he could know the hatred in her knights’ eyes. “If your lord, if I harmed thousands—”

“You have not done that,” Diarmuid interrupted, stepping forward. “We have only spoken a handful of times, and that is enough for me to know you are honourable. Your people must surely see that too.”

“Honourable…” That wasn’t enough. Her kingdom still fell, despite her honour. Still, she had missed those words, after dealing with egotistical kings and cold masters.

I hope you get kindness.

Irisviel’s words echoed in her head and Artoria smiled, offering Diarmuid the forgiveness she couldn’t take. “I would have made a place for you at my table.”

His eyes widened in surprise before he smiled lopsidedly.

Forgiveness?

Artoria had been naïve to ever ask such a question. Standing in front of the Holy Grail, her sword raised high, she scoffed at the idea of it all. Atonement didn’t abate Lancelot’s rage. Forgiveness wouldn’t alter the fact that she had betrayed Diarmuid. And there was no way to change Irisviel’s death. However noble her intentions, however kind she was to herself, these truths would remain the same.

No, the only who had been right was the one forcing her to destroy the grail now. She locked eyes with Kiritsugu as she brought down her holy sword, as Excalibur ripped through the room.

There was no such thing as forgiveness for a person like her. There never had been.

Olá, pessoas lindas! Como estão? Estou aqui para falar de um tema que particularmente ODEIO (odeio mesmo, juro. É capaz de eu pegar o livro/fanfic e tacar no chão sempre que me deparo com alguma coisa parecida), e tenho certeza que é um pouco injustificado, mas que ainda podemos salvar: o triângulo amoroso!

Eu estou vendo você revirando os olhos. Pode parar, respeita a tia aqui.

Triângulo amoroso ficou tão comum, tão comum, que todos cansamos (e com razão) da temática mais clichê dos livros românticos. São tantos livros com triângulos amorosos que você se pergunta por que os autores continuam escrevendo algo tão pouco criativo e repetitivo, certo? Eu me pergunto também. Decidi escrever este post porque esse tema aflora meu lado mais cético e julgador possível, então darei a vocês uma visão do que seria necessário para ME fazer ler um triângulo amoroso e GOSTAR. Depois de muitas pesquisas, lembranças desagradáveis de livros que já li, e análises, consegui elaborar algumas dicas para que você, querido autor, consiga escrever seu livro clichê da melhor forma possível.

A primeira coisa que me vem à cabeça quando falamos de "triângulo amoroso" é Crepúsculo. Seja o livro, seja o filme, Crepúsculo traumatizou todos nós com tal temática clichê. Entretanto, podemos encontrar diversos (DIVERSOS) livros/séries/filmes/animes/mangás também demonstrando relacionamentos no mesmo estilo. Em animes, temos o exemplo de Chihayafuru, com Chihaya x Taichi x Arata; em livros, temos A Seleção, com America x Maxon x Aspen; em Percy Jackson, Percy x Annabeth x Calipyso; em A Maldição do Tigre, Kelsey x Ren x Kishan; sendo um exemplo tanto de livro e filme, Jogos Vorazes há a relação entre Peeta x Katniss x Gale, e em Crepúsculo, Edward x Bella x Jacob; por último, em séries, temos exemplos de The Walking Dead com Rick x Lauren x Shane; em The Vampire Diaries, temos o trio Damon x Helena x Stefan.

Esses foram exemplos por alto, não se esqueçam. Existem centenas de histórias com triângulos amorosos.

E o que são triângulos amorosos?

Segundo o amigo Wikipédia, triângulo amoroso "refere-se a uma relação amorosa que envolve três pessoas — o que pode implicar que duas dessas pessoas estejam romanticamente ligadas a uma mesma pessoa ou, mesmo, que cada um sinta algo semelhante pelos outros dois. Também pode ser quando a primeira sente atração pela segunda, sendo que esta está apaixonada pela terceira. Um triângulo amoroso não implica necessariamente relacionamento sexual, podendo ser de caráter amigável".

Lembrando que, se os casais forem LGBT, há diversas maneiras de construir um enredo que envolva triângulos amorosos. Já que não me aprofundei nessa parte do tema, falarei apenas de casais héteros, certinho? Caso queiram saber como criar um triângulo amoroso LGBT, podemos colocar no banco de ideias para próximos posts!

Então, a partir da definição de um triângulo amoroso, é preciso entender alguns pontos bem fundamentais:

O trio pode não estar focado em apenas relacionamentos românticos;

Duas pessoas podem estar ligadas a uma terceira pessoa. Exemplo: Edward apaixonado por Bella; Bella apaixonada por Edward; Jacob apaixonado por Bella;

Uma pessoa pode sentir algo semelhante pelas outras duas. Exemplo: Guinevere é esposa do Rei Arthur e o trai com Lancelot;

Duas pessoas podem estar conectados de outras maneiras, até mesmo por sangue. Exemplo: Damian e Stefan são irmãos, porém, ambos amam Helena. A sacada aqui é a entrada de sentimentos ainda mais profundos que o romance e o amor romântico: o amor familiar.

Esses são os exemplos mais comuns de triângulos amorosos, antes de tudo, quero deixar claro que ficar estagnado apenas nos quatro exemplos pode ser FATAL. Sempre procurem inovar. Porém, vamos analisar isso mais para frente.

Com esses embasamentos, podemos chegar ao X da questão: Como escrever triângulos amorosos?

Triângulo amoroso arruína uma história ou uma história arruína o triângulo amoroso?

Talvez muitos de nós fomos influenciados por enredos extremamente parecidos e com triângulos amorosos mal construídos durante todo nosso processo literário. Parece que todos seguem o mesmo modelo e raramente vemos variações. Entretanto, elas existem e podem ser incríveis. Machado de Assis, o maior representante do Realismo brasileiro, conseguiu criar um triângulo amoroso tão intrigante que somos influenciados até hoje. Quem acha que a Capitu traiu o Bentinho levanta a mão!

Ou seja, o triângulo amoroso ao qual estamos acostumados é sempre uma confusão maluca entre sentimentos mal resolvidos, confusões emocionais, problemática rasa e, principalmente, não convence nenhum leitor. Todos sabíamos que Bella ficaria com Edward por motivos que realmente não são explicados de uma forma coerente — pelo menos no filme. O romance sempre acaba parecendo tão forçado que você não sabe se chora ou se ri, e toda a trama é perdida por causa de relações românticas, o que faz nenhum sentido.

Primeira lição: o triângulo amoroso NÃO deve ser o foco da história. É preciso ter um equilíbrio para que o romance se encaixe com todas as demais problemáticas. Um exemplo disso é A Seleção, que, mesmo apresentando um trio, a história faz um balanço muito interessante entre lições morais, romance, trama e situações presentes no decorrer dos livros, como liberdade de expressão, desigualdade social, política e etc. Outro exemplo que, assim como Crepúsculo, falha, mas de uma forma diferente, é Jogos Vorazes. Há tantas coisas acontecendo em todos os livros que as relações entre os personagens acabam sendo deixadas de lado e o romance só aparece em pouquíssimos momentos.

Nesse caso, o triângulo amoroso acaba virando algo cansativo e irritante porque, afinal, há diversas coisas importantes acontecendo e a protagonista ainda deve se preocupar em escolher entre dois caras que gostam dela. Dá uma folga para a bichinha, cara!

Então, por favor, crie um equilíbrio na história. Estamos num campo minado aqui, não se esqueça disso.

“Ah, eu amo a maneira que Zequinha Gonçalves me faz sentir… ah, mas Josefino Aldeído me deixa tão inquieta e nervosa, oh, meu Deus, eu amo os dois!”

Autor, tu nem me vem com essa!

Zequinha, Toninho, Josefino e Juriscláudio podem te fazer sentir de mil maneiras, mas uma coisa é uma coisa e outra coisa é outra coisa. Nem tudo é amor e nem tudo são sentimentos válidos, e, para o leitor, esse tipo de dúvida é tão ridícula que acaba sendo extremamente negativo.

Crie sentimentos REAIS. Dúvidas REAIS. POR QUE a desalmada da Sarinha Antonieta está pensando que ama dois caras? O que eles têm de bom? E, pera aí, eles viraram buffet para ter alguma coisa de bom? Já pararam para pensar que as justificativas e dúvidas desses trios sempre acaba parecendo leilão de boi? “Ah, esse aqui é mais gordinho, serve para tal coisa”, “ah, esse é mais forte serve para outra coisa”. Chega!

Talvez a menina esteja em dúvida porque cada um dos garotos pode representar uma parte dela. Partes que ela ainda não sabia, por exemplo. Partes que ela sabia, mas que ainda não experimentou demonstrá-las, sei lá. Há justificativas REAIS e CRÍVEIS, não dá para iludir seus leitores. A época da ilusão ficou em 2007, estamos em 2018. Hoje, queremos nos identificar com o que estamos lendo, e as coisas ilusórias e extremamente romantizadas já não são tão buscadas, entendem? Queremos ver o feio e o bonito todos juntos porque nossos sentimentos não são bonitos e dignos de poemas. Eles são confusos e misturados, mas desejamos ver isso.

Nós não somos pessoas fáceis de lidar. Nossos personagens também não podem ser.

Fulaninha conhece outro fulaninho “bad boy”, fica toda mexida nos encontrinhos com ele, então começa a mentir para a família, namorado, cachorro, padre e Jesus. Que isso, Fulaninha?

Mudanças bruscas de personalidade são irritantes. A menina era tranquila, conhece um cara doidão, e começa a ficar doidona também? Isso pode acontecer, mas gradualmente. Fulaninha tem namorado e o outro cara fica indo atrás dela, então ela começa a mentir para todo mundo e fica indo atrás do menino? Imediatamente?

Fulaninha tem que ter MUITA influência do outro cara para começar a mentir para o namorado e outras coisas do gênero. Personagens com personalidades volúveis são horríveis e vazios. Escreva mais sobre os sentimentos que o tal bad boy (ou outro estilo de homem, porque também cansamos de bad boys. Menino fofinho is the new black) causa; sobre as situações que ele faz a menina viver e como isso acaba sendo prejudicial para ela, ou libertador, dependendo do caso. Crie personagens profundos, com ações e sentimentos que façam sentido.

Conexões emocionais? Gostamos.

The Vampire Diaries trouxe, em 2011, logo depois de Crepúsculo, um triângulo amoroso inovador para a época. Os dois irmãos são apaixonados pela mesma menina! Então, o interessante é que, diferente de Crepúsculo, por exemplo, em que Edward e Jacob nem se seguem no Instagram, Stefan e Damian são irmãos, cresceram juntos, conhecem tudo (mais ou menos) um do outro e etc. Eles possuem uma conexão emocional extremamente forte e, mesmo eu achando horrível como uma relação tão importante acaba sendo prejudicada por causa de um amor em comum, é interessante demonstrar que eles possuem uma ligação.

Geralmente, a menina é o foco dos triângulos amorosos. Quando você, autor, encaixa conexões emocionais tão ou mais fortes que um romance propriamente dito, sua história acaba tendo uma autenticidade, mesmo hoje sendo um clichê. Talvez seja seu dever procurar outros tipos de conexões emocionais para encaixar em seus trios, assim, os meninos que gostam da menina podem deixar de ser os bois no leilão e se tornarem personagens únicos e com características que conversem com a história.

Mamãe da Fulaninha passou mel nela?

Uma coisa que NUNCA entendi foram as meninas dos triângulos amorosos. Sendo sincera, na maioria das vezes, sempre acabamos achando que a protagonista é extremamente irritante, então fica aquele questionamento: “por que raios, esses dois caras lindões estão interessados nessa chata?!”

Fulaninha, na maioria dos casos, é uma menina tão tediosamente normal que simplesmente não dá para entender como que os dois homens se apaixonaram por ela. Quais são as características da Fulaninha que fazem os dois malucos caçarem dragões em seu nome? O que eles amam nela? E, mais importante, como você, escritor, está passando esse sentimento e essa noção para o leitor?

Nunca, em todos os filmes, séries e livros que passaram pela minha vida, compreendi o sentimento dos meninos apaixonados. Nunca foi explicado o porquê de uma paixão tão avassaladora e tudo acaba voltando para a falta de sentido. Simplesmente amar uma pessoa por amar não existe, seus doidos! Não é romântico! É estranho e até meio assustador, já pararam para pensar nisso?

Não escrevam sobre sentimentos ilusórios só porque vocês não conseguem encontrar justificativas válidas. Você, amado, é um escritor, então, nas entrelinhas está dizendo que passará sua vida pesquisando assuntos. Pesquise sobre sentimentos! Faça entrevistas no ponto de ônibus! Converse com um terapeuta de casais! MAS, dê algo significativo.

Basicamente, acho que é isso! Esse é um post muito geral, então não podemos nos aprofundar muito, certo?

Mesmo com toda essa pesquisa, ainda acho complicado gostar de triângulos amorosos. Podemos até fazer um desafio! #HannahLeiaTAChallenge, HAHAHAHAHA! Quem me trouxer um triângulo amoroso realmente bem escrito e que segue todas as dicas do post, vai ganhar um abraço!

Lá no comecinho, falei de triângulos amorosos mais incomuns que vocês poderiam achar por aí. Eu tenho dois exemplos, mas tenho certeza que, com a criatividade e o amiguinho Google, não será difícil criar romances autênticos. Pelo menos, assim espero, viu, senhoras e senhores?

A menina não gosta de nenhum dos dois meninos: imagina ESSE triângulo amoroso. Fulaninha não gosta dos meninos atrás dela e só pensa em jogar videogame em casa! (E eu aqui dando dica de enredo, pegou?)

A menina se aproveita da situação: Fulaninha pode muito bem gostar da atenção de dois caras em cima dela e passar o rodo! Boba ela não é, hahahaha.

Tendo em mente tudo isso, é importante fazer uma análise sobre a sua história. Romances e triângulos amorosos são um dos temas mais antigos da literatura mundial, então pode sim ser algo convidativo e interessante. O que todo autor precisa entender é que somos pesquisadores. Tenham em mente que os tempos mudam e as pessoas também. Já vimos muito Crepúsculo e estamos atrás de outras coisas. Transforme o clichê em autenticidade, e o que se tornou algo que repele o leitor vai começar a atraí-lo novamente.

What made you ship it?

Following the MASSIVE GAPING HOLE in my heart after watching FZ for the first time, I searched for more content like a ravenous wild animal. My search led me to Einzbern Consultation Room, where we meet a sane version of Lancelot for the first time. (btw this episode was hilarious)

In it Lancelot says this line following praise of his king. The subs dont show it here but he actually mentions Guinevere’s name, and was about to say that he loves his king more when compared to her.

After that, I was just like...damn. Then proceeded to fall into the Lancelot x Arturia hell-hole. I feed and thrive on angst and this ship? Jackpot.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

They exactly represent one of my favorite tropes, Duty and Desire.

King Arthur, especially in Fate, is so driven to become a perfect king, no matter the cost, and Lancelot knows and fears this yet was powerless to do anything about it.

One-sided pining hurts but hurts good

Mutual pining hurts even better, because you just know Arturia would force herself to abandon those feelings to become a ‘better’ king

Lancelot generally went through several bouts of madness according to his mythology, and the application of that aspect of him to fate was glorious, especially if we consider the above^ fact that he loves her.

Even before finding out who Berserker really was, knowing that Saber was King Arthur immediately made me think what the other Knights of the Round Table would have been like. Especially Lancelot, because he was the best and the worst of them. I was not disappointed.

That amongst my many Arturia ships, they’ve got the best history.

Second chances.

Imagine loving someone so much you resent her for not loving herself.

I love the idea that Arturia recognizes his skill. Lancelot is bloody OP as a swordsman, thats why he has Arondight.

Writing Lancelot, I always think this: (it’s a quote from a secret project.)

“A kingdom is weak when its most powerful force is the king.”

“To shield that who protects your people, you must be stronger than even her.”

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

FGO, you’re great, I love you, but how in the bloody hell did you eliminate this very very important characteristic about Lancelot? Look I get that he wants to be papa and all plus the Round Table save for sweet bedivere all give out some skirt-chaser vibes but seriously. SERIOUSLY?!? why u gotta do him like that, hm? wheres the complicated arturia lancelot-relationship, hm? didn’t even have to be romantic but ya didn’t have to make him just another knight. would have liked a little more guilt and drama in the camelot singularity squeezed in there with bedivere’s angst, or at least some more in his dialogue, i mean, come onnnnn

@emiya-official yeah i completely agree!! You have this really potentially fascinating situation where both of them are committed to carrying out their role as king and queen for the sake of the country yet they still care about each other. Its not a real marriage but its not a forced relationship either. Gwen was heartbroken after arturia’s death and arturia still thinks fondly of her as a heroic sprit. Like a lot of the tragedy of saber’s camelot its two people who care about each other but were so bound by duty and ideals that they weren’t ever able to communicate that properly to the other.

Theres all kind of potential there, for arturia and guinevere to meet again as heroic spirits and work things out, for fake marriage turning into real marriage ala spy x family, for drama, etc. Thats part of why im hoping guinevere shows up in LB6. It would be really interesting to see what their relationship might be like in a different world.

Summary: In which Artoria makes different choices, and it leads to a different future, and relationships she never thought she would have.

Pairing: Artoria Pendragon x Guinevere

Word count: 2.7k words.

Chapter:

Uther Pendragon had a daughter.

Morgan le fay was bright from the moment she first opened her eyes. She was born with magic that Uther expected to die out with him. She was smart and cunning, and she was strong and beautiful.

She was perfect in every way.

But Uther didn’t want her.

He did not want a daughter.

The people of this era would not accept a woman’s rule, no matter how loved she was by her people, he did not believe in her ability to command.

No matter how many times she asked him to believe in her, he refused to.

And Morgan kept trying, until one day, her father announced that she would marry king Lot, and leave with him.

He had completely shut her out.

No matter how hard she tried, she was not good enough for him.

Lot was not a bad husband, and they liked each other enough to have children together, and not out of obligation for heirs.

But… Morgan’s pain didn’t lessen, not when she received the news of her mother dying, and how did she die?

From childbirth.

And the child was nowhere to be found, not until 15 years later, not until Morgan’s world shattered.

Smut, I come humbly requesting for Saber/Guinevere sex. Specifically I want them to have the worst sex known to man. When Saber was given a dick to conceive a king they probably went at it like rabbits, but frankly I can't imagine either of them being happy with this.
