i wanna share the genshin impact ships i enjoy and why (mostly rarepairs)

Rosaria/Kaeya - undeniable trust and friendship turned romantic interest. though capable of forming a relationship, their occupation and circumstances prevent them from fully pursuing it. Even if all factors could ignite mutual interest, the fear of ruining the friendship they harbored would stand in the way. What's important in a lonesome city is the same stranger who is looking for the same comfort you seek. Frequent liar or not, he's quite the personality to have around.

Jean/Diluc - everyone says they are exes turned lovers however I view them as the failed chance at love. They are friends who knew each other since they were learning to walk type of friendship. The first love you never forget. If they were given the chance, they could say what they want to the other. "You look even better after you became a stranger to me, pretty woman"

Yelan/Ningguang - The what could've beens. similar to jealuc but in ninglan it's focus is more on the one-sided, unrequited type of love. (using Beiguang for this example) watching the one you love fall for someone you know she deserves hurts. It hurts because you know you could've been with her if not for your own issues. thankfully she will never know you love her since that love will die with you

Rosaria/Jean - oh god where do i begin with this. The "outcast" meets the city's beloved individual. For someone who feels they never belong, its confusing to have the city's hope make excuses to see you. Rosaria and Jean's relationship begins with jealousy due to the nun and the idol deaconess' relationship. What makes Barbara look at Rosaria the way Jean always wanted? Filled with concern and trust that only families have for one another. Giving that to a complete stranger is agonizing.

Lisa/Jean - coworkers to lovers <3. A workaholic learning the simplicities of life from the reliable, easygoing, gentle person. When she'd forget to take care of herself mentally, she'd be there. Unknowingly providing comfort with just her presence alone.

Beidou/Ningguang - Two people who rule and have a significant influence on the community. Bickering and arguing over the smallest things yet loving each other for the same reason. What makes these two so wonderful is the fact that they both witnessed each other overcome difficulties in their own manner. They both achieved goals that brought them together in some way. Competing with which one would make the other prouder.

Venti/Zhongli - centuries have gone and past, and yet home always had the same eyes and breeze. When it comes to gods, the only one they could consider as equal are the same immortals who suffer with them. Why does meeting each other again bring so much comfort and pain? How many friends did they watch come and go like sand through the wind? Thankfully, they can overcome these uncertainties together. Until they could no longer control the corrosion within them.

Surcrose/Rosaria - When your curiosity leads to people questioning your character, the person you gravitate towards is someone similar. Sucrose would have a lot on her mind and would desperately need someone to talk to. Rosaria always wanted to learn more about the world but never had the guts to say it out loud. The mutual silence between them could be a conversation. "I have something on my mind, but I have difficulties saying it" and "Take your time. No rush."

Kaeya/Albedo - Understanding your past from the product of the past can be an interesting combo. Kaeya and Albedo are two perspectives of the Khaenri’ahn existence. The truth is never black or white, in fact, the truth is always relative. Messing around with your coworker because of mutual origins grives a sense of comfort in the city where everyone knows everyone.

Ganyu/Keqing - coworker who has false impressions towards each other. A tender and careful love formed from the desire to protect their city. Patience is a virtue especially for Ganyu. However, with all the years she had lived, days with Keqing always felt like love personafied.

Xiao/Traveler - what cannot be may be. One's duties always hinder relationships, but there will always be someone stubborn enough to reach out. Someone once said that unnecessary suffering is not a proof of strength. Relying on others is difficult but if it's with the person they love, one could only hope that they're not a burden. Thankfully, they don't give a damn about your stubbornness and go out of their way to talk and spend time with you. Since you know that these times wouldn't last.

Ayaka/Yoimiya - The different lives we live shouldn't turn us into strangers. In a life where expectations are laid upon you, finding freedom and happiness incarnate is like grasping sunlight. Ayaka knows she has her duties but spending time with Yoimiya makes her forget the time. Grief and loss often isolate us from relationships (including socioeconomic circumstances). Thankfully the eternal shogun's antithesis stays by your side.

Itto/Sara - Our beliefs do not align, but if someone talks shit about the other. Someone will be getting punched or electrocuted. Being a Yokai in human society always leads to discrimination unless you are equipped with power and unimaginable influence. Seeing each other's most vulnerable sides in the most unexpected times always led to curiosity. Curiosity leading to interest. And interest leading to fondness.

Al Haitham/Kaveh - Unconventional ways of saying "i love you" almost always lead to someone's wrinkly forhead. If turning himself into Kaveh's personal screaming outlet would let him relax, Al haitham would gladly do it. What happened in the past has long gone, and what's left is to continue. Is it so difficult to let him love you?

Candace/Dehya - Every neighborhood child's first loves daring each other. Duty is always the priority. Traveling the world will come one day but not today. If that is someone's belief, then someone will bring the world to them. Even if it's small material gifts, its treasured dearly. Just make sure not to come home bruised and covered in wounds. Else a medicated scolding (and some kisses) would be perscribed by the village's resident guardian.

this is my ship post, here are literally all of my favorite genshin ships with a quick explanation for each hetero jealuc - its my og. its my babygorl of ships. they have so much canon shit- and like. ok, high school jealuc and theyre best friends who both harbor more than just friendly thoughts for eachother but theyll never say anything... buff boi x buffer gorl what more can i say alberose - i know a lot of people arent fond, thats ok, i think its just cute. he protects her :) (she doesnt need it. but doesnt say no.) thomaya - i just think theyre cute :) shes his sugar mommy! <3 i like him and her brother more though fischnett (?) bennett/fischl - he plays along with her shit and thats adorable... he just thinks shes a cutie <3 and shes a total tsundere dont @ me chilumi - fuck u theyre cute... she beats him and he loves it ok.... tis.... so cute... 'hey girlie hold still' :) he is her little housewife and thats adorable scaramona - they're astrology spouses... she deffo reads his palms and he gets all sweaty bc omg shes touching my hands !!!! ittosara - fight me tengu!!! thats all a lot of the traveler ships r cute too. aether + amber, yoimiya,,, lumine + like- diluc? cute and oh my god i have a type oh no homo kaebedo - cute as fuck.... dont @ me... he draws him!!! cytham - they fight eachother on shit but they would be cute... cute as hell!!! kavetham - they would kiss. roommates my ASS kazuscara - they put the old conflict aside and just are there for eachother <3 thomato - i said it earlier and ill say it again, sugar daddy x housewife its cute as shit! malewife x girlboss but the girlboss is also a man tomokazu - old besties. kazu was DEFFO inconsolable when tomo died i wish he lived oh man im sad now wtf.... xiaoven - venti plays the song that kept xiao alive, theres so much angst there that i could curl up in that angst pit and DIE ayalumi - honestly i just fucking fell in love with all of their interactions - the 'keep your eyes on me traveler' haha! so cute hit me with a van pls beigguang - it takes a true diamond to catch the eye of ningguang and beidou is 24 karat <3 they fuck and thats awesome... love them!!! eimiko - mommy? sorry... mommy? sorry... mommy? eulamber (?) - i dont know what this ones called but KISS PLS :) jeanlisa - they are wives but im still a jealuc fan first and foremost im sorry :( --- thanks 4 coming bestays

My entry for Day 3: Jealuc Week! (Prompt of choice: Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez)

I thought it would be right to participate this year since I missed last year’s, and this prompt in particular really attracted my attention the most because the song is literally the sweetest. TT

Did some internalizing while listening to the song a couple of times... Initially I was planning to create a wedding day kind of thing, but then later on I felt like seeing married couples showing their love for each other in their everyday life to a promised forever, sounded a bit more fitting and sweeter.

I am also really honored to share that these pieces have been brought to life via a fanfic made by one of my good Jealuc friends, Ninja. Please do check her work out because I’m considering it as the most suiting tale to my pieces. To add though, it’s also actually the part 2 of her “Realization” chapter, so I would recommend checking the first part as well, they’re both equally heart touching and well written!

1. How many works do you have on ao3?

68 but for Reasons (a fanweek i'm very hyped for), it's gonna be 69 next week.

2. What’s your total ao3 word count?

287,330 (and counting ofc)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

mostly bsd, jjk & a bit of genshin, but i throw in ficlets and/or one-shots of other stuff to let Thoughts out.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Connecting the dots. silly pre-canon fluff and humor won people over after arcane's s1 finale.

Between the pages: part 2. mix of bsd ficlets/drabbles, bcs i love doing small thingies (i'm already finishing part 4 laksdjflk).

Misread. aka jealuc from barbara's pov, aka humor that stemmed from a teensy lil angst.

Remnants. more of me letting thoughts out after arcane's s1 ending, this time timebomb with pining Jinx.

Por el amor de estepresidente... the bsd crack fic (or my first one, at least), in which Mori and Fukuchi sort of ally to crash fukuzawa's date with any 3rd person but are also competing against each other.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i do, bcs i either have the need to thank ppl or ramble about the fic they're commenting on (or both).

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

probably Remnants, though i intended to go with the "it's not/won't be unrequited" vibe.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i'm a pussy and a slut for happy/hopeful endings, so i have those by the ton aldkjfl.

8. Do you get hate on fic?

not hate per se, but i've had complaints about tagging all ships from the start in my genshin ficlet compilation... when i was gonna throw them all into ao3 in one sitting.

also that one person who came to one of my Utahime Week fics, who was tagged as both gojohime and shokohime, to tell me "nooo shokohime are just friends yadda yadda" while praising gojohime as canon (i love it too, but it isn't). it was odd.

9. Do you write smut?

i have this thing when it comes to nsfw in general and smut in particular, aka up to certain point it makes me uncomfy but below that idgaf and even go like "nice, my ship having sex"... so.

most i can offer is barely-explicit stuff, and for fic specifically i see "depictions of character bein horny" and "pre- and post-sex" rather than actual smut.

10. Do you write crossovers?

not a lot, but the bsd+jjk thingie that came from rp and also birthed the dnd-ish au got me by the throat.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

as far as i know, nope.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

as far as i know, nope (x2). though i do translate some rp solos to turn them into one-shots adding up stuff as well (i could just post them in spanish, but).

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

i guess rp is like schroedinger's yes here? but when it comes to literal fic... not yet, but i know what and with who.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

i can't choose, sorry laskdjf.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

not really a wip, but i had one Uraume-centric fic that i'm not sure if it'll see the light for... some reasons. long story short, it's based on another fic that's a roleswap and has modern socerers (and students) Uraume and Sukuna.

16. What are your writing strengths?

i apparently never run out of insp and will to write, so i can go fast as fuck. and my writing is one of the things i'm most confident about like fr.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

i still feel like english nerf me, at least when it comes to narrating, bcs i cannot be as descriptive or poetic as i am in spanish.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

as someone who's first language isn't english but writes fic in english, you go ppl. and also, native english speakers can be kiiinda entitled lol.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

both for rp and my first fic ever, abc's once upon a time (that was also my first fandom being online).

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

another instance of me sucking at making choices alsdkf, sorry.

The strong wind could not stop the girl's but it made the wounds on her body sting. Jean tugged back on her jacket, rolling her eyes and glancing around. The Warming Seelie she had been hunting had vanished without a trace, save for a frail trail of warmth that had left before being carried away by the wind.

Jean had run out of spare medication after the last challenging battle with the Abyss Herald troop. She had to acknowledge that she had underestimated the opponents so she went alone, partly because she did not want the Knights to be fighting outside the city during their holiday. Jean had the tendency of doing all the work by herself. These little tasks she could handle on her own, and she did so with just minor scratches.

She thought to herself, I am the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. I'm strong, and I'll get through this cold and my injuries. Everything will be alright after that. With a proud look on my face, I shall return to Mondstadt. Don't let anyone be concerned about me…

But with each stride, Jean's eyelids and entire body became heavier than ever. The sight in front of her became blurry. Then she collapsed onto the cold, rigid icy ground.

Each bitter breeze passed, followed by a flare of sparks that enveloped Jean in warmth and comfort. She felt her mother's hand gently stroke her hair, and a lullaby poured out of the corner of her lips. Then she found herself at supper with her father; the entire family gathered around the little table, with the fragrant dishes still emitting smoke. There were, too, Barbara and their flower garden. Her little sister placed on her lap a crown made of flowers... It was all beautiful, and warm. But that warmth gradually faded away as the darkness drew back, once again engulfing her in nightmares as everything she loved was destroyed.

“Barbara… Klee… Lisa… Please don’t…”

Jean blinked her eyes wide. The brightness from the fire in front of her caused her eyes to narrow. The surroundings remained black, except for her and another person who were being caressed by the warm glow. She was no longer cold, and there was a scarlet coat with a recognizable style and scent on her body.

At this time, Jean turned to look at the person next to her. His crimson hair hid part of his face. He was still sleeping on the straw that served as backrest for the two of them. Jean immediately realized who it was, and was startled that he was there, with her. With her powerful and abrupt movement, she accidentally awakened him.

"Senpai…"

Jean was puzzled. He had just fallen asleep close to her. It was his coat she was wearing. This was a similar situation to ones in the romantic stories Jean enjoyed reading, in secret. It was hard for her to keep a calm face like usual. She was struggling to figure out what to do next when the other woke up.

"Jean..." Diluc called her name, apparently still not fully awake. But he hurriedly sat up and pulled away a bit after seeing the perplexity in her eyes. "How do you feel?"

"I'm all right..." Jean responded, despite the fact that she was not. Her heart was about to explode.

"Well... My apologies for taking you here without your will. I could not transport you back to Mondstadt due to the blizzard."

Jean took a glance outside the cave where they were sheltering. The snow was still falling, and with the sound of wind she shivered. She began to recall something while she was half-awake. When she fell, she remembered to be picked up by someone and taken away.

"Did you find me, senpai?" Jean asked.

Diluc's nod validated what she had said. Jean noticed that her wounds were neatly bandaged. She raised her eyes to Diluc. He returned that contact for a brief moment before turning away.

"I'm sorry if I caused senpai any problems."

Jean spoke gently. It had been a long time since she remembered what it was like to be cared for. Since she became the "Dandelion Knight".

"You haven't changed at all, have you?"

Diluc's reply caused Jean to waver. He went on to say:

"You've always been the one who carries everything on your shoulders. You take care of everyone in Mondstadt, except yourself."

"I…"

Jean was speechless. Red flame. Diluc and she sat side by side. The scene was all too familiar. It sent her back somewhere in the past, when the younger version of themselves were sitting by the same fire.

"A knight must first learn to care for herself before she can protect others."

So Diluc said, after seeing Jean's hand bleed during sword practice. He helped her patch her wounds, and so every afternoon, she went to the training ground to practice with him.

Then, it was by the cold winter fire that she couldn't make Diluc stay in the Knights of Favonius.

"I've practiced a lot. I've improved so much. I have the strength to defend Mondstadt now... And I'll do everything I can to help senpai..."

Diluc only stared at her with hollow eyes. As cold as ice.

"You can't do everything, Jean. You have the ability to protect Mondstadt and the Knights. As for me, I'm no longer going to be a part of it."

Diluc turned and walked away, leaving Jean with mixed emotions and unresolved feelings. Their paths had turned in two different directions since that day.

If given a second choice, Jean would still choose Mondstadt, the Knights, and the task she was born to perform.

While Diluc had always claimed that his route was distinct from the Knights', their efforts were all about the same thing: safeguarding their homeland. The Knights were like the light, while Diluc lurked in the shadows, quietly assisting them under a different guise. Jean quickly realized what he was up to, and she quietly thanked him with all her heart.

Back by the firelight where Dragonspine was ever chilly, Jean sat crouched and rested her chin on her knees. Diluc had the Vision of fire, radiant, warming her as before. Many times she wondered, if she could make him stay that day, he would still be her senpai in the Knights. And what if their relationship would be different now? Was there any chance for her... When Jean looked to the side, she spotted Diluc's worried gaze on her.

"You don't need to apologize to me." He stated. "No need to think that you owe me this time. I just happened to be passing by the place and helping an old friend. That's all."

An old friend...

The words kept echoing in Jean's mind. As cold as the day he left.But she said nothing and merely nodded in silence. Unbeknownst to her, Diluc lied.

He did not have anything to do at Dragonspine at all. It was only because of Kaeya's sneer at the conversation that he learned about Jean being away to the snowy mountain on a mission alone. He was sure that Kaeya had intentionally let him hear that, and constantly emphasized how risky this mission was. Without hesitation, Diluc rushed to find Jean. Upon arrival, the Abyss Herald troop was already defeated by her. He traced the trail she left in the pristine snow and found she had just fainted. He was worried that something terrible might happen. Fortunately, he sought a nearby shelter.

Jean's nearly frozen and wounded body stiffened. Diluc kindled the fire and then handed her his coat. But that was not enough. He used his Vision to warm her up. He let her rest on his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her. At that moment, he did not think much, nor was he shy, all he wanted was for her to wake up. Then he, himself, fell into slumber as well.

When he woke up to find Jean very close, Diluc suddenly felt embarrassed. But most of all, he was glad that she was at ease. Jean sneezed suddenly, her body trembling slightly at the cold wind that had just swept through. Diluc leaned forward instantly, his hands clutching his coat and tugging it closer to her. Their breaths intertwined forming a thin puff of smoke. Jean blushed.

"I'm alright, senpai..."

The sight reminded Jean of any fiction she'd ever read. The male and female characters sat side by side by the firelight, so close that they could feel each other's breath. They then would confirm their affection by giving each other a warm kiss... Just thinking about it made Jean's face redder than the setting sun.

Diluc seemed to sense something too. He remained in place and looked into Jean's eyes for a long time. This moment could last forever, if she could hold on without sneezing again.

"Oh..."

Jean silently blamed herself for ruining the beautiful moment just now. Diluc merely smiled slightly and leaned back against the straw.

"You should rest a little more. When this storm passes, I'll take you back to the city."

Jean nodded and took a seat next to Diluc. After a time, he said softly:

"I know you do not seek my assistance. But maybe at some point, I'll be happy to share the burdens with you, if you let me…"

Perhaps Diluc did not want to make things worse, so he left it hanging. In the past, he himself had rejected Jean when she offered her help. Now he was expecting her to reach out to him when she was in trouble. Was he being selfish?

Jean's eyes flickered slightly. Her cheeks and nose were all bright red. She nodded and replied softly:

"Of course. Thank you, senpai."
