Hi anon, thanks for the question! It took me a while, but here’s my answer:
————
-Ah, the octotrio. So, Octavinelle, like Pomefiore, was a bit difficult for me. Jade is a big question mark, and his personality is difficult to break down. I eventually did decide on something, though, I’m not 100 percent sure if I like it, so tell me what you guys think!
-Azul is now very unreadable, sadistic, low-key psychopathic, and always does things purely to entertain himself. He never loses his composure, even when bullied as a child, and seeks revenge in his own twisted ways. He knows exactly how to manipulate situations and people to his advantage, using Floyd and Jade's quirks and idk, extra-ness, to make himself appear as the "normal" one of the group.
-Jade, on the other hand, is much more insecure and emotional- he is more prone to emotional outbursts and can be quite dramatic. While he cares for his brother, he is also disturbed by his and Azul’s actions and personalities. Sure, Jade’s cunning and sly, but Floyd and Azul are straight up insane! '
-He and Floyd have a more strained relationship, and the fact that they’re brothers makes it difficult for Jade to stay out of Floyd’s affairs. Jade realizes he has little power in Octavinelle, even as Vice-Housewarden, and does everything Azul asks of him to stay in his good graces and stay safe. Self-preservation is key after all.
-When one day however, a freshman, Yuu, makes a deal with Azul to free their friends, Jade sees an opportunity and takes it. He wants to get away from Azul and Floyd as soon as possible, because he knows Azul could turn on him at any moment, and Floyd would not side with Jade.
TL;DR- Azul isn’t a pathetic little man (I say that lovingly) anymore, instead, he’s a truly scary fish mafia boss, and everything he does is for nothing but his own sick enjoyment. Jade is a little different from canon!Azul- he acts composed, but he’s very much not. Jade and Floyd have a more strained relationship, and he doesn’t trust Floyd and Azul. In this AU, Jade is Yuu’s ‘ally’ during book 3, for they both want to take Azul down.
In case something’s unclear or you’re just curious about the AU, please ask away.
Fyi, I don’t know how I’m gonna do Ignihyde and Diasomnia yet, since I haven’t finished their books.
So that’s your question answered! Sorry for the long post, and reblogging would be appreciated lol
i design a faceless y/n for my fanfiction. i realize that the series cannot last with a y/n. i develop them so much that they're forced to have their own identity. seeing them as only a badass is now an erroneous mistake to assume. i make him horribly pathetic.
am i the only one who prefers how dream looks clean-shaven?? /genq
(not saying he needs to shave, hes his own person! just my personal preference and im really fascinated by how many of you guys prefer scruff/beard dream)
