Mimi visited John and Cynthia in Weybridge on occasion though the times when John was actually home and not touring were growing few and far between. Still, she enjoyed the visits.
She told me of a time when she was there that she heard a knock on the door. No one seemed to be around so she answered it and there in front of her were two rather scraggy-looking young men. She wasn’t used to the rather roguish look of the male fans. They asked for John and she told them he wasn’t available then quickly sent them on their way, telling them in no uncertain terms not to return. They didn’t look like the average fans, but they did look like trouble. In any event, they turned and started back down the driveway.
She’d barely shut the door when John came running down the stairs from one of the upper floors.
“Mimi! What have you done?!”
“I’ve told some fans to leave,” she responded.
“Those aren’t fans!” He ran out of the door and down the driveway to stop the two from leaving.
It wasn’t until later that he told her that was Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

i think one thing that’s funny about ajin (aside from everything about it) is that if you only know about it from the anime or general cultural osmosis you think that kai is gonna be a secondary protagonist and our yaoi bait but when you read the manga it’s like no he’s. gone. for dozens of chapters. and then they just drop this other guy who looks kinda like kai if you squint into the narrative and he is Always there and fills that role instead. sorry guys the childhood friend is gone here is this kinda stupid random construction worker instead have fun

Is it just me but when someone comments or reblogs an old fic, do emotions rush in? Like suddenly you remember what you felt while writing that story? You remember what your characters felt? How it was like when you finally shared it to the world community? And then there’s just this immense pride and joy that you got to create something that means something to another person, that it made them laugh and smile and cry and believe in love and realize something about themselves?
Just being a little sentimental about it, how I got into this rabbit hole of reading fics 4 years ago and got the courage to write a year later and now I have a collection of my own stories that I love and appreciate, with characters that are a part of me, too. Write what you want to read, they said, and I did. And I’m not one to brag about myself but I did pretty good, and I’m proud of every single story I wrote and put out, and I’ll definitely be rereading them.
Here’s to every one of you who’s ever read a story. 💕
And here’s to every one of you who writes - only you know the amount of time and energy and love you put into your work and your characters. Only you know what it feels like putting your heart into a story that you created. You did good. Be your first fan. And know you’ve made someone’s day. It doesn’t make us any better than anyone else, though; we’re all here to connect and to feel and to escape somehow. But being vulnerable and sincere takes courage, so thank you 💕

- Sleepless Night·s -
Mitas has recurrent insomnia ever since he was a child. One of the reason he picked up sports (and cooking, and making/playing a bit of music) is to occupy those idle hours in the night.
When he was young his older sister would often stay up with him to look at stars and talk his feelings out during those nights (it’s after one such conversation where she tried to help him calm down from an anxiety/emotions surge that she gave him the nickname ‘stardust’ which is really close to his heart....)
