Design; 9/10 - OMG ITS A MCDONALDS APPLE PIE!! freshly baked good boy. The little apple covering its eyes I'm just AUGH cause it matches applin!! the little paws. Just a baby dragon who got baked into a pie. Also it's still apple shaped with leaves on the top!! That's really cool!

Purpose/Effectiveness; 10/10 - as a grass/dragon type, I think it works really well. I'm not good with pokemon stats so i cant speak on that but I think the design conveys the typing really well. The apple motif is obviously grass, and the little lizard parts gives it the dragon it needs. Anyways it's my new favorite dragon type thank you for showing it to me :)

Overall; 9.5/10 - the cooler flapple.

Oh man, oh man, top 5? If it's a Gintoki ship I'm basically in regardless of pairing unless its [redacted] lolol but here's a list of faves,

I ranked them in order of which fic I'd open first if it had this ship tagged, vs how easy and enjoyable I'd find it to write.

I did debate about #5 and really if it came down to UtsuGin vs OT3s (GinHijiZura, SakaGinZura). I'd probably read/write the UtsuGin first just because it's simpler and there's a very specific dynamic within the OT3s (or even an OT4 if we wanna throw everyone in there) that I enjoy which is a little complicated.

But also... I don't really sort my fics via ship and usually I struggle to PICK a ship when I'm writing (if I even remember to make it shipped and then usually I end up picking Hijikata for simplicity reasons) because it's less about the pairing and more about the trope for me. Like if Gintoki isn't in that / pairing or isnt the first character listed then I'm not opening the fic. But sometimes I don't even read the tags I just open it if Gintoki's involved (typical, have gotten into some trouble doing this, InfiniteInMystery does not advise not reading tags before opening things in any fandom).

Listen. I'm desperate. I don't care. I will eat it if its Gintoki-centric okay, everything else is just flavours!!! It's like chips, I like all chip flavours, love a few more than is healthy, and there's that one that's just pretty damn mid and I need to be in the mood for it asfdjkhgjksdgf

Ummmm once again thinking about how being raised in purity culture messed me up. I have a question for those who live/lived in less strict rules:

If you are AFAB, and live with men in your house (who are either related to you or otherwise a part of your family unit. Ie dad, brother, stepfather) is it normal to walk around in like a sports bra and sweatpants going from your room to the bathroom to shower? Or if you sleep in a cropped tank top & shorts, is it normal to make breakfast in the morning without changing? Can you wear a tank top in the house in the summer? If you're getting ready to go somewhere and you're wearing jeans and a camisole, do you have to finish getting ready and put on a sweater before leaving the room?

I both love and hate drawing Nine's tails cause on one hand they're cool asf and chatacter design with extra mechanical limbs is peak but on the other I want to set something on fire when these straight lines and exact repetitive shapes that you have to keep in check and form carefully or draw one angle of it wrong the perspective is all fucked up while also keeping the character's weight in mind and the surroundings as well and also make sure you can count to seven and that each one has a specific purpose assigned to it in the composition

Haven't heard from family in days. I feel like it's time to accept they're gone. I know in my heart Palestine will, one day, be free, but it wasn't supposed to be like this.

What I heard most from my grandmother the first days it's that "this time is different". And I feel like a rock is crushing my heart in pieces because i've been hoping that speaking out, teaching people about the historical oppresion of Palestine would help but it's not helping. Nothing is changing.

I feel like I'm screaming into a void. There's some sympathy from people online, until I see content documenting Palestinian oppresion being flagged as 'hate speech' or check the comments of any updates on Gaza and it's: "blame it on hamas", "tell them to give up hamas", "the hamas asked for it". They're not even among civilians!!!!!

My heart feels full seeing the manifestations in favor of Palestine, then I see police forces breaking protests apart and remember that the people that can actually save Gaza don't care.

If there's nothing left to do but to watch the extermination of my people, then I'm going to beg for anyone reading this to please don't forget. Please.

Israel is hiding behind Judaism to commit genocide against Gaza. Here's another thing I feel like we need to talk about regarding the current war between Israel and Hamas. Minor as it may be, I've been losing my mind over this.

As a person who grew up in the early 2010s, I grew up mostly on the internet and fandom culture, and have written quite a lot of fanficition in my early teens.

Something I've realized this past week is that people are seeing Palestine as a fandom. And not only does it belittle the actual problem, it dehumanizes Palestinians and Israelis alike and allows the rewriting of facts and truths as if it were an AU fanfic.

After realizing that I jokingly told a friend that I wouldn't be surprised to see RPF about the events of October 7th. I had in mind something like slash fiction of Hamas members, but today I found out people are writing fanfiction about A HOSTAGE AND HER CAPTOR.

I also found out it didn't happen in a vaccum - apparently tiktok is exploding with this stuff, saying Maya Regev - the hostage in question - had "left her heart in Gaza", because she smiled and said "shukran, bye" to her captors.

In case you have forgotten - Maya Regev was SHOT IN THE LEG AND TAKEN HOSTAGE INTO GAZA along with her brother, who was released FOUR DAYS AFTER HER. She was released with a shattered leg and without her brother - but if she smiled, her captors must have treated her so well, amirite? (Even though there are already plenty of horror stories from Hamas captivity, and children came back pale and whispering with their heads full of lice.)

Even in the early 2010s there was a debate whether RPF is legit or not (and at 26 I can safely say it's a no from me), but in this case it's even worse. These are not public figures we are talking about. This isn't One Direction or The Beatles. The Hamas terrorists are, well, terrorists, and Maya Regev is a private person made public because she was TAKEN HOSTAGE INTO GAZA. Writing a FANFIC about actual people who were actually injured during October 7th is beyond sickening, and it's probably the most immoral thing you can do on social media for the Palestinian cause (and if you guys claim to be on the side of morality you might want to be consistent).

Another thing that's driving me crazy is the difference between Israelis and Non-Israelis who grew up on the same things at the same time. my friends and I learned a lot about justice, critical thinking, and the power of art and creativity on the internet. I met a lot of my online friends in socialist youth movements and rallies, and many of them later became my classmates in Bezalel - BECAUSE we applied what we had learned into our adult life.

Non Israelis who grew up on the same platforms as I did who took part in the same fandoms, read the same fanfiction works, learned the same truths of social justice and the power of art- are now viewing the conflict as a fandom. You're either a fan or you're wrong - there is no middle. No room for critical thinking, for "Palestinians have every right to self-determination and an independent state BUT Hamas who actively prevents them said rights has comitted crimes against humanity on 7.10 and must be held accountable", or for "the occupation must end BUT the Jewish people are indigenous to the region" - there is only room for "by all means" and "from the river to the sea". It doesn't matter if they don't know which river and what sea - because if the conflict is a fandom, then they can write an AU to deal with every truth that doesn't settle with their narrative, and rewrite reality to fit their next fanfic.

You were actually the one to officiate the wedding between the two of them, actually. All you had to do was officiate and then you were dipping so that you could go back to running the cult dedicated to you. And let me tell you, you left right after the whole ‘you may kiss the bride’ thing.

When she heard that you became the High Priestess, she was absolutely angry at this. You just wanted to cause her more and more trouble. In addition to that, you were the highest power in the continent of Wol, which really put her in a tricky situation. She was definitely not on your good side, so technically speaking she was on the side that opposed the gods and goddesses.

However, she let out a sigh of relief when you said that you would be glad to officiate the wedding between her and Sovieshu. After all, the Emperor has been like a brother to you since childhood (worst way to friendzone someone, but bro needs it anyway). 

During the wedding, you were shocked at the absolutely horrible dress that she had chosen to wear, but in your mind it was their wedding, and they could decide what they wanted to wear. You had a bit of a tough time holding it together as you officiated the ceremony, and you had to excuse yourself before you burst into laughter.

You were helping her prepare for her wedding when you received the news that the High Priest had been killed in a carriage accident. Navier held you in her arms as you processed the information, and she sent a servant to call Heinrey into the room so that she could ask to postpone the wedding to give you time to take over as the High Priestess.

Once the ceremony was over with, you set about officiating her and Heinrey’s wedding. You have even been there to declare Heinrey and Navier the first Emperor and Empress of the Western Empire, and it had the seal of approval from the High Priests (AKA you). 

She was able to see your growing following, and she was honestly one of them. You were like a blessing to her, and you also were deemed a child of the gods when the High Priest was still alive and when you were a child. It only made sense, really.

Heinrey

A servant had let him know that the High Priest had passed and you were next in line for the position. This position was not inherited through family members, but rather who has more of a connection with the gods. Obviously you were the best candidate for the job.

Even though your entire life just changed, you made time in your schedule to be the one to officiate his wedding to Navier. After all, it was your duty as the former Queen of the Western Kingdom. Plus, you knew that Heinrey was wanting to turn the W.K. into the Western Empire.

You decided that there were enough resources within the Kingdom to be considered an Empire, and thus he got your sign of approval. You even crowned the first Emperor and Empress of the Western Empire. You, unfortunately, couldn’t stick around for too long after that.
