I ramble about headcanons while reading the artbook:

Here are my notes::

So idk if peeps talk about it but timeline wise I'm going to assume brozone's last concert had to be before the bergen fully captured the trolls.

I'm mainly basing this on the art work from the artbook, as well as how it would make sense how easily the older brothers could just walk off and live their own lives. Given previously with the whole bergen town surrounding the tree, and the only actual safe way out had to be a tunnel they were digging potentially not even ready yet.

So I would assume say a month at least after they left the bergen took over. Which could also play into all of them thinking the other was dead/captured and simply couldn't risk coming back even if they wanted too.

John dory returning when he had more experience and got "floyd's" letter. But for the most part genuinely was fine on his own. Maybe wanting to at least open communications back with his family.

Clay having found his way to Viv (I REFUSE to entertain the thought that he was with them when escaping just didn't contact branch or grandma)

I don't think floyd was even CLOSE to the tree to know. I imagine he did do a solo career but everything was so big and trolls being cared about wasn't till later. Which plays into that image of him playing alone in some alley on mount rageous.

Bruce traveled and maybe sent out a letter that never got received and found himself starting a new life and having kids.

I DIDN'T KNOW BRIDGET AND KING GRISTLE WERE IN THEIR MID TO LATE 20S HUUUHHH

I thought they were at MOST early 20s. Huh. Makes me wonder about the life spans of bergen.

I like to think outside bergen long since learned they don't have to eat trolls to be happy.

I need the extra of Viv consoling Poppy. Cause I need that.

I also need poppy and branch talking about sense of being left by siblings. How branch is still upset but dammit he's just as happy to be around them and singing with them again. How poppy just found a sibling who filled that unknown/forgotten side of her and having to potentially give a family member up. How now she understands branches hesitant to be involved with John dory at the start, etc etc.

I need more solo songs from the brothers. I need those scenes where they're bonding again. (Idk if you can tell but I want a TV series for the movie like the others).

I NEED backstop of the brother's parents and just WHERE are they if we're going with the before the bergen's theory.

I think it's funny before floyd and Branch were born. That Bruce was the middle child to probably dory's older brother and Clay's younger brother shenanigans. And then Clay becomes a middle child himself but not the peace maker kind lmao.

I need to see and hear that talk the sisters have with king peppy. Cause that whole side scene where he feels guilty was NOT enough.

I have this idea that what positivity was to branch in movie 1 is what being silly is to clay. Like it's not that they hate it but being taken serious and not always that one thing is a nice breath of fresh air. And maybe Viv had been someone who was able to welcome both sides for clay.

Branch is a poet idc what anyone says. He doesn't write anything bit he has his moments.

I LOVE SEEING MORE TYPES OF TROLLS. especially interesting when they don't seem like the typical singing ones!

Mount outrageous being a place without a single adult is... I have several questions on that. Whether that stayed in the final movie or not....

Concepts of the bergens remind me of old og Shrek designs.

Floyd not just being the more emotionally mature one is nice, he's also generally intelligent and clever/witty (from the artbook). Also, his style being confirmed emo is funny to me. Like, yeah, the hair is obvious, but now it gives me the pass to draw him wearing SO many cool/interesting outfits.

Creek concepts have me feeling annoyed at the fact that yeah... I can see it.

I’m sorry but it’s absolutely hilarious and yet adorable how the series handles Broppy’s relationship. First we get them traveling together as rivals (which was a bit more one- sided on Branch’s part) before slowing learning how to work together and to change for the other. Also it’s heavily implied Branch has an underline crush on Poppy. Then we get True Colors, and everyone thinks “okay they’re in love now”.

Some people/audience members are on board, others not so much. BUT THEN it turns out that the “I love you” they say to each other was a PLATONIC love confession. Like “you’re my friend, and I value you.” Which is still sweet, but was unexpected. (Though it does explain why the writers decided to put another platonic love confession scene between Bridget and Poppy. Yeah, I get it now)

So they just go through the journey as bffs who have feelings for each other but won’t say anything. And again, they learn how to work and grow together as a team and make the necessary changes to benefit the other. And then FINALLY we get the romantic love confession.

But it doesn’t stop there, oh no. Now we get adventure #3, this time with them as a full on couple. And they are actually really cute. Actually the film doesn’t focus that much on their relationship but we see hints of how they are as a couple.

Poppy is still all over the place but she’s much less in her own head and far more open to listening and being a good girlfriend.

Branch on the other hand is still occasionally getting exasperated by her energy but this time also has an appreciation for it. Also he learns to open up to her a little more and she’s there to listen and accept him with open arms. (Bonus points to their flirty dynamic because wow. They were adorable here.)

And it’s ONLY THEN (7 years after the first film) when they get their first on screen kiss.

Anyway. In conclusion: Trolls is the slowest slow burn I have ever seen in a Dreamworks trilogy.

Just watched Trolls Band Together...ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!😍😍😍(SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!)

Oooh, my Harmonia...just got back from watching Trolls Band Together and my GOODNESS!!🤩✨🤩✨🤩Words cannot describe how amazed and engrossed I was into the whole movie!!💖💖💖Was it worth the seven month wait?😗TOTALLY!!😍😍😍It was absolutely fantastic, and I LOVED and enjoyed every single moment of it!!🥰

I was really getting into scenes, got quite a few laughs out of some scenes and was touched the wholesome ones~💕Branch's brothers were just as enjoyable on screen - John Dory still being my fave as he grew throughout the movie (LOVE Rhonda too!😁) Spruce/Bruce is such a lovable family man, Clay was (serious)ly awesome in his scenes and the tender moments between Floyd and Branch really got me...especially with the flashbacks...🥲 It was so great to see Grandma Rosiepuff again, though I do wish there was more feeling shown when her death was mentioned, hopefully the brothers will come to terms with it more in time...and Branch's bunker plan for them all, d'awww...~🥺So he DID build the bunker for all his family...😭 Viva was such an amazing character as well as she adorably bonded with Poppy (ooh, dear King Peppy, I know you were heartbroken at the time but c'mon...😅) and finally braved out of her comfort zone, and Tiny Diamond going through his big boy phase was real cute and funny😂Bridget and King Gristle were great too, it was lovely seeing them again along with the Bergens!😊 I had a feeling Velvet and Veneer were luring BroZone to them, they were such good villains with their goals and personalities but I am glad Floyd got through to Veneer in the end, and he saw the wrong he and his sister were doing, and came clean to everyone. And Crimp was a cutie and deserves better🫂(glad she got a hug from Poppy and stood up to Velvet and Veneer in the end😌) And it was also great to see some of the Snack Pack again too, including Prince D and especially my darling Cooper too, eeeee~!😍💗💗💗He looked so dapper!💝🥰 Speaking of Poppy, she was just as darling as ever~!😚I seriously LOVED her relationship and her undying love for Branch blossom so much here whilst supporting and fangirling for him all the way as they interacted, bless her~😊And that sweet BROPPY KISS!!🤭...🤩I was going 'YES!! FINALLY!!' under my breath, grinning from ear to ear in that moment~💙💖And that moment when I thought he was gonna pop the question during the performance during the end...hehe, maybe another time~😉But I certainly didn't expect *NSYNC to show up in their trollsonas near the end...what a twist!😮

The chase scene and perfect family harmony scene were truly epic and it really shows, it doesn't have to be perfect as long as we're altogether~💞💓All the locations of the brothers were stunning to look at, with Vacay Island and Spruce/Bruce's family, the creepy abandoned Bergen golf course with the Putt-Putt Trolls, and finally Mount Rageous - a whole lot of wonder to take in!💖Walt Dohrn, Gina Shay and the DreamWorks Animation Crew did such an fantastic job on everything!���🌟✨And that huge BroZone hug...again, d'aaaaww~!😭

As for the songs...I'll be downloading the rest of the album now because they were all wonderful to listen to!🎧🎶Real boyband and 90's nostalgia~✨I know they're gonna be stick in my head for a long time, hehe!😆I have so many faves, especially all versions of 'Better Place'~😚

A greatly HUGE thank-you in a million to everyone Trolls for such a fantastic movie, which I wonderfully enjoyed all the way through, from start to finish!🌟👏👏👏🌟AAAHH!!💓💗💓I JUST LOVED IT ALL!! 😍🤩😍I give it a solid 9.5 out of 10!!😊👍✨Totally made my weekend~!🫶🥰

When it comes to broppy relationship in the movies, I think trolls world tour is the weakest in that department.

First movie broppy has this sort of implied history. Poppy has apparently tried to befriend branch for a long time, and even after everyone has given up on him, poppy still treat him warmly. And we know that despite his rude and cruel behavior, branch did apreciate it deep down. It's easy to imagine that they got to know each other a little bit and one of the reason why poppy is still trying to be his friend is because branch showed her a part of himself that he hide to everyone else. What poppy say in the last movie, "I've been by your side from the moment we meet. And you've been by mine! " seems to confirm this. Even if you ignore this headcanons, their contracting personalities and the way they bounce off each other, coupled with the progressing tenderness of their relationship make for a really cute and compelling dynamic.

Then the second movie roll around, branch's feelings are comfirmed but there's something wrong. Here's the thing. The progression of their relationship is entirely on branch's side. We never get a hint of what poppy think of branch. It's all about branch and her feelings for her. I know poppy is supposed to be very self-absorbed and it's something she has to learn from but her feelings for branch just seems kind of hollow when she only acknowledge him to dismiss his worries and criticize him. She just has this realization after their fight that doesn't feel earned at all. Poppy reciprocating branch's feelings *doesn't feel earned at all *.

But then, trolls holiday in harmony came out, and this year, trolls band together. We get to see how our trolls behave as a couple.

And it's so

Fucking

Cute

They bounce off each other like before but in a much more softer way. Branch gently calm down poppy when she's over ecstatic. Branch's realism balance out poppy's optimism. Even with poppy's mind going all over the place, she pay attention to branch and you have the feeling that she's helping him through trauma and gaining self esteem. Poppy prioritize branch feelings and branch adore poppy for her energy and infectious happiness. It feels like a natural progression of their first movie self, with a much softer branch.

Speaking of branch, I think that's the reason why their dynamic in the second movie was so off. Branch wasn't the sarcastic grump anymore and the writers struggled to find their dynamic. Well, I think they nailed it now. He isn't the grump to her sunshine anymore, he's the calm romantic to her hyperactive affection.

So I have thought about them SO MUCH

First they start off with Branch very clearly “hating” Poppy, with Poppy being ridiculously stubborn about befriending him, or at the very least making him feel welcome in everything she does

Their entire relationship could be essentially summed up in this image

But then we see Branch in his bunker with the dozens of invitations yada yada yada everyone gets he loves her, or at least somewhat appreciated all her efforts at including him (not that he’s ever planning on letting her know that ofc)

BUT HE ALSO DRAGS HER INTO HIS BUNKER

Like, THE SECOND HE HEARS THAT SHES IN DANGER, he not only lets her into his bunker, but literally drags her into the one place no one else has ever been allowed!!!

LIKE, HE LITERALLY DOESNT EVEN LET THE OTHER TROLLS INTO HIS BUNKER TO SAVE THE ENTIRE VILLAGE LITERAL MOMENTS LATER

YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT, HAD IT BEEN ANYONE OTHER THAN POPPY, BRANCH WOULDNT HAVE JUST LEFT THEM OUT THERE AND SAID SOME SHIT ALONG THE LINES OF “Oh well, good luck, sucks to suck, guess you should’ve listened to me, huh?” BUT NO!! I mean, he does end up doing his fair share of gloating, but only after he lets her into his bunker!!!! AND THEN HE DOESNT EVEN KICK HER OUT!!!

Branch, as shown above, is clearly the type to spew absolutely poetry about her every chance he gets, while Poppy is the type to just spew every adjective she can think of in between the highest pitched squeals and giggles you’ve ever heard

What are some of your favourite ships in Trolls?

Most hated ships?

Honestly, I'm not much of a shipper in general but most of the ships in the Trolls fandom have no appeal to me.

I'm a big Broppy fan, I love these two and I think their relationship is so sweet and beautifully developed. A lot of my focus is still on Branch independently but I think these two are amazing together and I love writing about and thinking about their connection. Even if sometimes I want to shake Poppy like a ragdoll, especially during World Tour and the cartoons.

Ships like Fliff and Cliva I think are cute but I don't really care for them. I think the art for them is really cute and I'd definitely repost it or read comics about it but it's not something I'd go out of my way to find or really put any thought into. To each their own, and I can appreciate the idea.

I honestly don't really like the idea of John Dory with anyone, though. It doesn't feel right when I see ships with him in them, like Hickdory and whatever the name for him and Delta is. I might stand for AroAce John Dory, honestly. I just can't see him in a committed relationship but that could just be the commitment issues after BroZone.

Some things I just can't let slide, however. I think Fleek has some amazing angst potential and I adore some of the art for it but as a ship itself I despise it. I hate Creek with a passion. Love him as an antagonist but I don't like the idea of him having a redemption or finding happiness with the people he betrayed.

I especially loathe anything that's Creek x A Member of BroZone, and don't get me started on him and Branch. Absolutely not.

coming to you as a fanfic fellow writer and sorry that this is so straight forward, but i'm having trouble writing intimate scenes with broppy bc every time i try i remember that trolls like guy diamond literally walk around naked and there's nothing there. so i can't help but think the same for branch n poppy T_T have you struggled with this?? how do you go about writing scenes like this with these characters??

Hi! I’d be glad to help as best as I can :)

I can see where the trouble comes in as far as what you are describing. I think that the good thing about the Trolls franchise is that it seems to be a little more flexible as far as rules go. Babies can goo-goo ga-ga and have cute, high-pitched adorable voices like baby Poppy and baby Branch, or they can be deep and sassy like Tiny Diamond. Trolls can reproduce with other entirely different creatures, as seen with Bruce and Brandy. Bergens can eat happiness, and doll-things can suck up literal musical talent by scent. Living creatures can open up and let you drive/live in them, like Rhonda. Trolls can poop out (presumably edible) cupcakes.

I think the first step to writing Broppy intimacy is accepting that literally almost anything appears possible in the Trolls universe! So, even if glitter Trolls strut their stuff au natural, I think that it is very much possible that the regular Pop trolls could have the parts, if you catch my drift 😏

From there, I think it becomes a bit easier. Personally, I don’t dive into the nitty gritty details of the act, but I do like to focus more on the emotional aspect of it, how each of them are feeling about each other via sensory description (seeing the expressions on their faces, hearing their moans/sighs, how their soft/rough their touch feels, kiss taste – I usually default to strawberry for Poppy – and scent – I default to flowery for Poppy, and natueresque for Branch)

My favourite cartoon ships 2.0!

1. Broppy, Branch and Queen Poppy, Trolls

Such an adorable couple with highly entertaining interactions, anything from bickering to heartfelt encouragement.  Great yin and yang with very opposite yet very compatible personalities.  These two truly have changed each other’s lives for the better, bring out the best in each other, and would do anything for each other - you can’t have one without the other.  I’m not much into reading fanfics in general, but have read all kinds of Broppy ones!  Hopefully we’ll get another special and series!

2. Elixie, Eli Shane and Trixie Sting, Slugterra

Close friends who are always there for each other, loyal teammates who work really well together, who both pester and support one another.  Cute interactions that, to me, give the vibe that they could become more than friends in the future.  I don’t know, there’s just something about them that catches my attention, so many options for fanfics!

3. Embade (not sure if there’s a ship name for them yet), Wade Ripple and Ember Lumen, Elemental

About as opposite as two people can be!  I fell in love with these two immediately - their dynamic is highly entertaining, being fire and water they have unique interactions no other couple could have, their dance scene / first touch gives me butterflies, their first date is the cutest thing ever, and I like how it wasn’t ‘love at first sight’ - they got to know each other first, then fell in love, and they really improved each other’s lives.

4. The Love Square (Adrinette, Ladynoir, Marichat, Ladrien), Adrien Agreste / Chat Noir and Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug, Miraculous Ladybug

Four ships in one, so lots of options for different fun stories between the characters!  I’ve read a few neat fan-comics of them, their varying dynamics are always interesting.  This ship also moved down my favourites list, because I personally thought their ‘just friends’ status dragged on too long in canon.

5. Simonette, Simon Seville and Jeanette Miller, ALVINNN!!!

Close friends who have similar hobbies and compatible personalities, I love the episodes where they interact, especially helping each other on projects or just hanging out.  They would make an adorable couple, I’d love to see them on a sweet little date.  I’m not a huge fan of the CGI movies, but I watch Chipwrecked solely for their interactions.

6. Guep (no solid decent ship name for them so I’m going with this), Guy and Eep Crood, The Croods

I love the fact that she’s stronger and bigger than him, and far from a typical girly girl, it makes a unique and unconventional couple.  Also, they take care of each other, it’s never one-sided (the macho guy rescuing the dainty damsel, or the powerful woman rescuing the weak guy).

7. Eugunzel, Eugene Fitzherbert and Princess Rapunzel, Tangled

Tons of excellent interactions in the series, a healthy relationship and another couple who has given each other better lives.  She’s not the typical dependent princess, but not an overly powerful female either, just the perfect balance.  And like Guep, he rescues her, and she rescues him; both have strengths and weaknesses, making them a very realistic pair.

8. Hiccstrid, Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson, How To Train Your Dragon

Another couple where she’s the stronger one.  I like their teamwork and interactions - even though she’s much bolder than him, she respects his leadership and is loyal to him.  At the same time, he respects her and is open to her suggestions.

9. Jilaire, Jim Lake Jr. and Claire Nunez, Trollhunters

Their development from barely friends to a close couple was natural and realistic.  There is literally nothing these two wouldn’t do for each other (Jim risking his life and breaking the law to save Claire’s brother, Claire fully accepting Jim no matter what physical form he’s in)

10. Snowlin, Prince Merlin and Princess Snow White, Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarves

Excellent messages about true beauty.  The rare movie relationship where the main female does not represent ideal beauty standards, yet still ends up in a happy relationship.  These two learned to truly love each other for who they are on the inside, regardless of their appearance, and will surely stick by each other’s sides no matter what.

I finally decided to watch Trolls: Band Together, so I present you my opinion that you never needed or wanted! Yuppie!!

Some of you have probably seen my angry rant about it before the movie was released, but you know what? FUCK YOU, PAST ME! Past me can shut the fuck up and jump into the pit! At least partly.

I still have stuff I don’t like here, like Viva’s design. Because THE HELL?? I love her hair, her voice, her movements, BUT COULDNT THEY GIVE HER AT THE VERY LEAST DIFFERENT HEADSHAPE? She looks like a Poppy copy, make her look older, you fucking cowards

Branch’s brothers were adorable, I like the way they were introduced. Could have been better and way less rushed, but I waited for worst, so I’m satisfied, I dunno? I like them as characters, very nice very nice. Also. If 3 of them escaped… Were trolls so afraid of bergens they didn’t even try to escape in small groups at night or something? Ok, fine, moving on, it’s not like we’re getting answers

Maybe I didn’t like the idea of tons of siblings, because this plot idea is very cliché and that makes it so so easy to fuck the plot up. But the way they added siblings wasn’t too bad, I guess? Brothers added more trauma to Branch, great angst potential for all five, nice. And Viva shown us once again not to trust King Peppy— Wait. Why did he let Poppy go to Bergentown in the first movie again—

I’m so SO relieved that I wasn’t completely right and especially that I was super wrong about Broppy. AND THANK FUCK THAT I WAS WRONG! They’re healthy, they’re still their flawed selves, but they’re trying their best, they’re adorable, they don’t have artificial drama shitshow!! Hell yes!

Also Bridget and Gristle. They were dorks and I liked them. Gristle is just going along with everything Bridget does and admiring his wife. Big mood, man

Moving from good things.

I’m upset that the plot didn’t add trolls from other tribes. Like, Poppy and Barb could have bonded as friends! Come on! But another subplot would have been too much, I agree. The movie has enough stuff to deal with without it, it’s upsetting, but understandable.

That’s also probably the reason why the movie feels rushed. It’s hard to give attention to every character during that short amount of time, I understand that. But it’s still sad.

I still weep. Because they cut Lady Gaga’s song Applause. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????!! *in indescribable amount of pain*

In conclusion. I thank Goddesses that I wasn’t completely right. The movie wasn’t horrible, I’m so relieved! It could have been better, but same about the first and the second movies. And maybe I’m gonna share some troll theories in the future, I dunno, but there probably will be sketches. Maybe :)

Fun fact about me: I used to be obsessed with DreamWorks trolls (the first movie).

I adored this franchise up until I stopped watching the beat goes on, when it ended I kinda forgot about it.

Some years later the 2nd one came out and let's just say I have mixed feelings about this film, I loved the songs and the message and the slight animation upgrade but at the same time I freaking hated the Greek dub

(none of the songs were translated, as opposed to the first movie which had translated every song very successfully and on top of that they changed Branch's voice actor and put a CELEBRITY in his place, the original voice actor for Branch was still in the movie by the way just as a different role, which makes me even more furious now that I think about it).

The final straw was when they made broppy canon. I'mma be honest with you, before the second film, I really shipped them like...

They were the only straight couple I shipped and I watched all the poor quality amvs and all that stuff. Yeah, now that I look back at it I'm like ew wtf but, ultimately I know why I shipped them, it was because I loved the dynamic they had in their platonic relationship.

I always wanted a best friend and their friendship was precious to me but back on those days the trolls fandom didn't value friendship as much as shipping so I thought that that was how I liked them to be. ( I was really young, so romance was confusing to me ).

I despised the moment when Poppy "friendzoned" Branch cause I don't believe in friend zone, I just think that the guys that are being "friendzoned" are being completely delusional and bad friends for having ulterior motives behind being there for the girl that they are friends with. Falling for your friend isn't bad if you don't act on it or act really jealous of their partners in my opinion.

I just really wanted them to stay friends and just that, maybe because I loved that or maybe to provide an example of a girl and a boy being friends in media without it turning into a romance (because I hate that trope, the we have to be together because we're the leading man and the leading woman trope).

I'm probably gonna watch trolls 3 ot of pure curiosity, just to see where the franchise is heading but I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like it, like at all.

1) Hiccstrid

These two developed themselves into a safe and happy relationship, and it made me realize what I deserve. They believe in one another and never give up on the other. The dynamics remind me very much of my husband and I. I'm very fiery, can hold my own and I will tell you what's on my mind. My husband is quiet, incredibly intelligent, and soft-spoken. I think the reason I fell for this ship from the get was how similar It was to my then growing relationship. Plus... who doesn't love dragons?

2) Broppy

I have shipped them together since seeing the first movie! You can tell that Branch had a fascination and desire to go out in the world but was crippled by PTSD. Then, Poppy comes along and helps him achieve this. I just adore how great they are for each other, and it's such a feel-good relationship. You can tell that both parties are absolutely enthralled with one another. Marriage anyone?

3) Me and my Husband (why not?)

Both above ships are my ships because of similar dynamics in me and my husband's relationship. Took time to develop, friends to lovers if you will.

It’s a sunny day in pop village! Poppy was picking flowers and fixing with her garden, Branch on the other hand was panicking in his bunker.

- OH NO, NO, NO!!! Branch move on tables shelfs and pretty much the hole bunker.

- WHERE IS IT!? What was he looking for? After a few more minutes of panic he finally found it! The thing he was searching for was.. a flower seed? Oh and flowers! There was flower there too for their one year couple anniversary :)

Branch calmed down and realized what a mess he made, he groaned and starting to clean it up. Afterwards he made sure that his gift for poppy was secured with like a 100+ locks and that everything is set and ready for when she comes over. Yes poppy will come to HIS bunker. Over to poppy she was chatting with Biggie and Mr. Dinkels.

- So i was thinking Bigge if we made this hole place... BIGGER! Poppy took out a scrapbook that showed a bigger version of pop village, it’s said “hurray” and sprayed glitter on both Bigge and Mr. Dinkels.

- Oh Poppy I... It’s a grate idea but i think that right now... there is no need for more space, i mean look at all the empty pods! Bigge points to a lonely corner that shows three pods that looks very worn out and sad.

- Yeah... that part need some cleaning- wait! Bigge what time is it? Bigge looks at his non existent clock.

- Um... noon? Poppy gasped.

- Oh no... IM LATE!! Umm... sorry Bigge I got to go!!! Poppy says in a hurry and runs away. Bigge that just looks confused just says:

- Uh okey! See ya later Poppy!

Poppy just waves and runs to her own pod, when she enter is she’s quick in the shower. When’s she’s done she’s quick out of the shower and on to the cloth she’s gonna wear. Her outfit is:

A blue and green kitted dress and green foot warmers, she took her “queen” headband on her as usual and when out of the pod on to Branch’s bunker.

She arrived at his bunker fixing her hair before knocking. The knock echoed in the hole bunker shocking Branch to the core. He fixes his bow tie and gets up to greet Poppy.

- Hi Poppy! He takes a look on what she’s wearing and just says:

- Woah... you’re beautiful... Poppy blushes and giggles.

- Thanks! You don’t looks so bad you too handsome:)

Branch blushes a little to on Poppy’s response and shows her in.

They get down to the main level of Branch’s bunker.

- WOW Branch! Look what you’ve done with the place! I love it!

Branch chuckles a little.

- Thanks. I-I wanted it to make it special for today and all...

Poppy just smiles in return and continues to look around. While she was distracted Branch snuck away to check on his gift for her bit to his surprise it was gone. Panic rose over Branch as he looked everywhere but could not find it.

- Not again!! He thought to himself.

Poppy shortly entered the room wondering why Branch is on the floor.

- I-I umm... I-I’m just looking for uhhhh... He looks around for a good excuse.

- Uhhhhhhh..... sweet running down his face as he can’t find anything.

- I uhh... I juts thought the floor looked nice! That’s all.

Poppy gives him the look that says “I don’t believe you”. Branch sighs and slowly gets up.

- Okey Branch. Spill it, what are you looking for? Branch sighed.

- Okey... I have a... gift for you! But first i lost it, then i found it and put it in a heavy locked

system so that I could easily find it again. But now its gone AGAIN and i can find it, but this need to be perfect because its our anniversary and all. But if its not perfect will that be enough? Will you be happy enough? If your not happy I’m not happy and if we are not happy-

- BRANCH!! It’s okey! We’ll find it! Don’t worry about it I’m sure that the gift you giving me doesn’t change anything on this day because it’s already amazing!

- Howso?

Poppy grabs Branch’s hands.

- Because i got to spend it with the most amazing and adorable and understandable trolls i ever

met!

Branch blushes and looks at her with a big smile.

- You’re pretty amazing you too Poppy.

She smiled.

- Now come on! Let’s go and find that gift!

Branch nodded and started to search the bunker. After a like 20 minutes of searching Branch was ready to give up when he saw something glimmer on the distant, he walked over to it to see that the flowers where behind a painting. He sighed out in relief and yelled for Poppy.

- Poppy I found it!

Poppy came running.

- Oh great you found it! So what is it?

Branch pulled out the flowers.

- These!

Poppy gasped.

- Flowers! Oh Branch you shouldn’t have! These are my favorite too! Where did you find them?

- Well it’s nothing hard I just had to travel to the deepest cave ever to find them. But it’s nothing

much. He then pulled out a bag of seeds.

- Aaannndddd these are the seed for the flowers too! So you don’t have to go down that deep cave! Poppy just stood there, amazed. Literally had nothing to say, just standing there.

- Um Poppy? You okey-

Poppy lunches herself into Branch’s arms hugging him tightly.

- Oh Branch! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Branch hugged her back.

- This is amazing!! Now i can plant them in my garden too!

She pulled out from the hug and looked at him with a big smile. Branch was about to get something but was stopped by Poppy’s hand pulling his, he didn’t have time to react and finds himself kissing her. When she pulled away he was lost in thought, still processing what just happened.

- Come on Branch! This is not new..

- Nah! Y-your right... I just... didn’t see it coming! Poppy just giggled go how embarrassed Branch is.

- Are you just gonna stand there? Lest go out! I wanna plant my seeds!! Branch laughed.

- Okey, okey! We’re going!

Branch took Poppy’s arm and they walked out of the bunker, they walked down to Poppy’s pod where her garden where and she immediately started to work with her new flower seeds. Branch just stood there admiring her.

- Is there something wrong?

- Huh? oh no, no! Everything is just grate!

Poppy just giggled and continued with her flowers while Branch looked at her.

Smth pretty unique to the trolls fandom for me is that I actually like pretty much all of the canon (or canon adjacent) ships

Broppy obviously, but like Smilton is actually adorable, I’m super invested in Bridget and Gristle, and Cliva (if u interpret them as a couple which most ppl do) are so cute, Bruce and Brandy my faves <3

Like all the canonish ships are actually good and that’s rare

Probably has something to do with the fact that the franchise tends to prioritize friendship over romance and I like that

All the trolls couples are good cause the girl wears the pants in all of em
