see, before this food debacle ensued, i wanted to chime in here and ask YOU for once what YOUR headcanon of the day is. completely got me forgetting my plans!

Hahaha I thought you were going to say "see... I wanted to ask you but since you were mean to my sausages, I'm not going to." 💀💀

You're too nice to me! Well let's stay on the topic of cooking. You know what bothered me? That on 11x12 Mickey and Ian take the pots and pans from Kev & Vee's place and they're all like "we don't cook. I guess one of us would have to learn". Bullshit.

We have seen Ian make pancakes, eggs and dinner pretty often. Yeah, we saw most of the cooking when he was manic but it's not like he has the skill only when he's having an episode. So I actually think Ian like cooking. (also I doubt they had money for take-out when Ian was young.)

We also saw in s11 Ian ask Mickey if he wants to make dinner together so casually, like they do that often. 💗

So my headcanon is that they love cooking together when they have the money for normal ingredients. And they also enjoyed creating recipes from what the have at home when they didn't have much (but had to feed like 8 people or something).

I bet Ian does most of the cooking but Mickey hangs out with him and maybe Ian gives him small tasks like cutting the peppers or Mickey just sits on the counter and talks to Ian while he does all the work.

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.
