Fall views from Mount Blue in Avon, ME taken on October 10, 2022. 🍁✨
This mountain is my favorite thus far. The views are incredible and to be able to see them at peak foliage was a literal dream. The trail had a beautiful mix of some areas that were in full bloom, some that were fully green, and some that were bare. It was a beautiful hike out and back.
If you’re ever planning a hike in Maine at peak foliage, I highly recommend Mount Blue. ⛰🌲🥾🍁✨
What a beautiful morning to go on a snowshoe walk! The fresh snow was so soft, the air so clean, it was absolutely magical. ❄️ #snow #raw_allnature #raw_hikes #hike #hikemoreworryless #winter #winterwonderland #raw_snap_2023 #mountain #woods #mountainhiking #nature #naturephotography #snowshoes #trugetur #ciaspole #ciaspolata #adventure #norway #raw_norway #norvegia #norwegiannature #sundayhike (presso Norway) https://www.instagram.com/p/CncHpUysGFa/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
My first Backpacking Trip: Mt. Rainier National Park
At the end of September I went to visit my friend Laura in Seattle, WA. Laura is a childhood friend and it was such a fun time exploring a new city and backpacking for the first time ever! It was myself, Laura, and Laura’s two friends Avery & Klarissa who were both awesome.
We did a 6 mile out-and-back hike called Summit Lake Trail. We got there around 4:30pm then hiked 3 miles and got to camp about 1/4 of a mile to the summit. This allowed us to see both sunset/sunrise! It was just so beautiful. The weather was perfect, too. I was surprised by how I got used to holding a heavy backpack within the first 10 minutes of the hike. This was definitely not a difficult hike; more so moderate. The elevation gain was around 1,600 ft. Absolutely perfect for my first time.
We camped, made hot food, stargazed, woke up to view sunrise at the summit, and made coffee. Sometimes I still can’t believe this is my life. Truly magical.
🌲Perfect hiking weather today! Current conditions include partly cloudy skies with temps hovering around the lower 80s. A cool breeze is in place ranging from 5-10 mph. Expect increasing cloud coverage later this evening, which will give way to some scattered showers tomorrow⛅️
Random adventures don’t always happen for me because I work better when I have an actual plan. I have always been a planner and when something goes wrong or changes, it really throws me off. I haven’t always been the best at handling these types of situations, but I have been working really hard at trying to bounce back when things don’t go as planned. On the day that I did this trail, I woke up…
