“Have you not been sleeping well?”
You hear the the ship’s voice hum from the speakers on your bedroom wall, as you lay awake on your bed. It’s past lights out, and everyone else on board was recharging. They already knew that the human liaison would be… irregular, when it came to customs, but all were certain that you slept at the same time they did.
All including the Lost Light themself, who you had just learned was alive a week or so ago. It had been an accident, so you thought; with your ties to Ultra Magnus, you had been given the ins and outs of liaison life aboard the ship; standard by the books fare that you’d already been briefed to by the EDC. However, it was one unlucky meeting when you announced your presence, and someone else was already in the room; or at least, you could hear someone else was. As Magnus had whipped his helm down to you, flustered as if he’d been caught breaking integrity, a short silence between all three of you was soon ended by the voice that emanated from the room’s speakers. “It’s alright, Ultra Magnus,” they had chuckled, the sound rumbling through the floor. “I knew they were coming. You needn’t worry about one more soul in on the secret.”
The Lost Light had been interested in you for quite some time, in fact. Of the millions of years of their life, not one little organic has boarded their ship; certainly not a human, like you. You’re a new species, only a couple hundred thousand or so years old, and had just been introduced to the greater intergalactic community. You’re as curious about everything as they are about you: your odd little movements, the way you speak with your silly human accent, even the way you walk in itty bitty strides with legs and feet half the size of an average cybertronian digit. And you’re so… tiny! As a massive starship, even a minibot would be hard to see with their two optics, which made it nigh impossible for them to watch a human. Only through their intricate camera systems and holomatter technology could you, like the rest of the crew, be up close. You seemed sweet, when they introduced their holoform persona, Lightlost, at the Swerve’s “new-squishy-welcome-party” thrown for you when you first joined. You’d happily conversed with the cartographer longer than you had anyone else. Something about their warm and humble personality made you feel welcomed, like you had come home to someone you could trust. By the end of it, you were comfortable enough to trust them with picking you up and perching you on their shoulder. You remembered noticing how similar their frame looked to the starship itself, but you thought nothing of it. Not at the time.
Now you know the secret—but even still, the two of you are close. Closer than before, even. With the knowledge of the Lost Light having a spark of their own, you couldn’t feel any safer. There were mishaps all the time, and you know the Lost Light isn’t there every waking moment to fix whatever has been broken, but the feeling of someone watching over you gives you a sense of protection, as a tiny organic aboard a ship full of giant robots.
The Lost Light steps out of their way to ensure you are safe and happy.
Even as you hear their concerned ask, and roll over in bed groggily as a response. Your hazy eyes catch the clock on the wall: 2:30 AM, converted from Cybertronian time just for your convenience.
“…How long have you… been here?” You murmur into the side of your pillow.
“Only a minute,” they answer. “I just finished convincing the Captain to put down his work. I felt you moving around in a disturbance, and thus wished to check in.”
You emit another rumble from your throat. The Lost Light finds it adorable, despite your predicament, but speaks again with concern still present. “Has anything been bothering you, little one?”
You remain silent, motionless in the bed. Your mind sifts through thoughts as you begin to formulate a sentence that can explain yourself as best you can, in this state. Finally, you slowly push yourself up into a sitting position, head and back slouched over.
“It’s… stupid,” you admit softly, sadly, “but I miss home.”
The ship hums in acknowledgment.
“This place isn’t Earth, and everyone is so huge,” you continue. “It’s big and metallic, and nothing feels familiar. I know I wanted to come here, but I didn’t know how homesick I’d get…”
As you speak, the ventilation in the room quiets so your voice stands out. A slight gust of comfortable warm air brushes through your sheets.
“I understand…” the Lost Light whispers. “You’re so far from where you’ve been your whole life. The sudden change in setting is never one that you can so easily adjust to.”
You nod, sinking further into your seat.
“…However,” you hear them continue, “I believe that homesickness is a sign of love, and it is expressed by all of us. Even myself, for the world I called my own. To be in a place where we are safe, comfortable, happy, familiar… that is what we miss.”
“Mm…”
“In that case, little liaison,” you hear the soft smile in their voice, “while I may not be your home, nothing would please me more than to serve as your home away from it.”
Your head perks up at the dark room in front of you, their surrounding presence, with tired yet brightening eyes. You wish you can say more, ask more, but in your state, all you can muster is “huh?”
Moments later, you hear the sound of static and distortion as a blue light appears before you, glitching and flicking as the Lost Light’s holoform manifests in the room. Lightlost, significantly smaller than usual, approaches you. The two of you exchange looks; and as you stare into their eyes, you remember why they made you feel comforted in the first place.
“This place… I, my crew, we might all be… hectic, at times,” they whisper, meeting you at your bedside. “However, there is nothing I would rather do than ensure that you, little one, feel as close to home as you can. Whatever I can do, I will do it if you so ask.”
They reach out and lightly rest their warm hand on your shoulder, smiling fondly. “If homesickness is a sign of love, then I wish for you to love where you are now, someday. Not just what I provide, but what everyone provides.”
You think about the others you’ve befriended, and the experiences you’ve shared, wild as they are. Your adventures off world, with Rodimus, with Drift, with even Brainstorm, though you’d never do it again. They all liked you, and were interested in your uniqueness, and you remembered fondly of how you’d share moments with them during the highs and lulls of excitement, all before returning to the ship for a drink and a party. You think of days that aren’t as exciting; lazy afternoons in your room as you indulge yourself in your human interests that only you understand, atop your bed or couch, with nothing in that moment feeling out of place from your room back on earth. One of your robot friends would poke their holoform’s head in and join you, and while you clearly knew they weren’t, it felt nice to talk to a human face to face. You think about moments like this, with the Lost Light. Though even if they may be elsewhere, they always know where you are and how to keep you safe.
A smile graces your features, and you relax your head on your pillow once more. Lightlost gently pulls the covers over you with a grin, pleased that their words touched your heart.
You hum, “thank you.”
“Thank you,” they croon, “for joining me. But most importantly, for deciding to stay.”
They reach their hand down and stroke your head, and you close your eyes. You hear the faint sound of static again, the touch fading from your skin. A draft of warm air flows through the room, purified and smooth, and you breathe in.
Over the speaker, you hear their voice once more, shortly before you slip into your subconscious.
“Sleep well, little one.”

- He will laugh at the fact that a stick of butter didn’t melt in the microwave
- also laughs whenever people run into walls
- one time a toddler fell in front of him and he just HDHFJRJTJRJSKS
- Texts really ironically but does not talk at all like how he texts

- HUGE musical stan he will burst out into song for no reason, like if he’s home alone GOD BLESS
- speaking of being home alone he shouts random lines from his shows and movies out all the fucking time
- has been banned from having energy drinks, he will go BONKERS
- is the type to drop a drum stick on a gym floor in the middle of another schools performance and it be really loud
- can laugh without smiling and it’s creepy as fuck
- double jointed he can twist his arms in a way that looks so wrong
- has an Instagram account and it’s just all photos of him w a goddamn gecko or snake on his head
- he also posts cryptic shit sometimes for no reason
- like would tweet “help” and then absolutely not respond to any replies
- writes really purposely shitty wattpad fanfiction under a fake name bc he thinks it’s funny
- blasts really embarrassing music whenever he’s driving and makes SURE the windows are down
- “armin can we please turn this-“ “NO we are party rocking”
- beats on tables or his legs or the floor like drums and it’ll either be the same rhythm for a month or some random ass improv bullshit
- if someone like clears their through or does like any random noise he’ll mock them
- reiner clears his throat and armin just “ahem” and Reiner is looking at him like
- when he’s cold he loudly goes “BRRRRRRRRR” really dramatically
- PROBABLY smokes weed sometimes
- enables Connie and Sasha on their antics but sometimes they stress him out
- BUT LIKE he’s just completely fine and even nervous around people he’s not comfortable around like
- he does this shit bc he feels fine doing it
- never does anything to purposely mildly irritate Levi bc he is scared of him

My thoughts on LOK characters after watching season 3
(FOR FUVKS SAKE I WROTE HALF OF THIS ALREARY BUT MY FUVKING PHONE DECIDED TO SHUT ITSELF DOWN IM SO ANGRY GODVERDOMME)

Korra: wow... just.... wow... what an amazing season for her. Yes it ended kinda fucked up but throughout the season she grows so much. The character development is off the charts! I'm so very proud of her! What a wonderful girl. I love her with all my heart.
Jinora: I'm so happy so got her tattoos!!! How amazing for her!! (That shit must've hurt dude like one lil tat isn't that bad but all of your body all at once?that must have hurt like crazy) I love that she used her spirit powers so much this season and that she really got to show what she can do!!
Tenzin: HE WAS SO STRESSED THIS SEASON AND I TOTALLY GET IT I MEAN IMAGINE HAVING TO TEACH ALL OF....THAT!! He was so so strong and when he just started fighting and the red lotus bitches started just attacking him I almost cried like what! Anyway hes such a great dad, so proud of Jinora. I would like Tenzin to adopt me, I could use a good dad thank you Tenzin.
Mako: I actually liked him a lot this season! When there isn't any of the girl stuff and he isn't just lying to them all the time hes actually a great character.
Bolin: SUCH A SWEET LOVE OH MY GOSH THIS MAN HAS SO MUCH LOVE IN HIS HEART!! He meets his family once and they're everything to him, he falls in love with Opal and just!!! Loves her so immensely!!! What a dream boat! I said it before and I'll say it again:had he been real I would have had such a huge ass crush on him!!!
Kuvira: we got a little peek of her this season. She seems hardworking and passionate! So I like her so far!
Asami: we got so much time with her this season and I enjoyed every second with her! I love how shes becoming an actual friend to Korra (wink) and is just overall being a great character doing great character things!
Zaheer: HOLY SHIT. WHAT. IVE SEEN PEOPLE ONLINE ARGUE ABOIT WHETHER ZEHAAR OR OZAI WERE A MORE DANGEROUS ENEMY BUT HOW??? ZAHEER WOULD BEAT OZAIS ASS IN A HEARTBEAT!! THIS DUDE IS INSANE!! (And, yk, absolutely coocoo)
Eska: we only got a little time with her but I love her!!! Every line is ICONIC!!!
Opal: sweet! Shes so shy and kind! I love how the avatar creators have such a diversity in character! Shes so sweet and interesting. And you go queen for telling Bolin to just be himself and not act weird! Queen!
Kya: ICON what more can I say? Shes amazing!! She recognized Zaheer and i didnt even recognize him.
Lin: I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HER FOR BREAKING NAGAS BALL that being said.. absolute!! Queen!! Dude her character development was insane!! Good for her!!
Bumi: I KNEW HE COULD AIR BEND AT SOME POINT! I was so shocked that's literally the first thing they show this entire season tho!! I thought that maybe they'd introduce it later. Anyway!! You go Bumi!! Hes so strong and passionate. And hes also super funny!! I really like him a lot
Suyin: I KNEW SHE WAS ALSO TOPHS DAYGHTER!! Anyway I dont trust her.... shes off. Also the red lotus is all about not wanting queens and other rulers and one of the first thing she says is that she thinks queens are outdated. Idk. I just think it's a little convenient how her most trusted lie detector was a red lotus without her knowing
Meelo: MY CHILD!! I love love love Meelo so much!! What a passionate man. He chaotic and lowkey psychotic?? The only child I want
Varrick: we also got very little of him but hes the funniest bitch in the room. This mf makes me laugh my ass off at all times
Pabu: !!!!! HEAD EMPTY, ONLY PABU!!!

Tonraq: MADE ME CRY!!! WHEN KORRA SAW HE WASNT DEAD!! MY DADDY ISSUES HEART WENT CRACK

( also remember in atla when they were in that crand canyon thingie when the tour guide was like I'm nothing without arms. Yes. Anyway once again men ain't shit)
Desna: also very little lines and I don't remember what he said and if he even said anything but he was next to eska so I'm sure it was iconic.
Ikki: we didnt get a lot of her this season, but she is still my princess!!!
Kai: I LOVE HIM !! WHAT A MAN!!! also Jinora and him???so cute!!
Overall thoughts:
This season!! It left me in tears, I literally completely broke down at the end holy shit!! I cannot WAIT to get started on the next season!!!!!!!!

What episode, which character and which duo made you the most emotional? fate of danger part 2 was easily the most emotional episode for me, not to be Extra but ray always made me emotional (like that man’s got some TRAUMA goin on 😢), and i’m gonna have to go with henry and ray again. i mean there was just a lot going on with them that we finally got to see in full in the finale.

Most importantly, are they happy? char is president of the world and everyone’s living their best lives because of it, piper is successfully running a mob and working the black market, jasper got his clownin degree at harberd and works at children’s birthday parties and loves it, henry is just chillin and grillin with his homies living life, ray falls in love with someone and leaves behind superheroeing forever and schwoz is the weird uncle that lives in their basement.
What was your favourite part of the show and why did it initially draw you in? i’m literally a sucker for adult characters somehow finding themselves adopting a child?? and this show de👏li👏vered👏 with four while children a schwoz AND top class humor.
What was your favourite part of the fandom and why did it initially draw you in? honestly everyone is just so kind and genuinely funny and talented and i was dying for a place to get more hd content when i first got into the show.

All of this takes place in a “fuck your plot they’re all alive and happy” universe based loosely on Golden Deer but if the entire plot kinda imploded before it had the chance to get going. It all went quietly because the houses communicated effectively with each other and it still ended with Byleth in charge the same way that route ends but like... less murder and more “if you don’t step down and let us fix all this, there’s gonna be murder real fast”
All of Golden Deer are in some weird polyam situation where like... it started with Lysithea and Hilda and Marianne but then Lorenz and Marianne became a thing and then Leonie had to get in on it cause she made it her singular goal to get in Lornez’s pants to prove a point if nothing else but then she caught feelings, AND THEN Claude and Hilda hooked up and somewhere along the way Claude and Lorenz has an “I hate you but you’re really hot let’s make out mid-sparring match” and it just kept spiraling out of control until no one bothered to keep track anymore. When they had to explain it to their parents once they graduated it was a NIGHTMARE
Dimitri is like so lost as to how relationships work. He never had time for that! He’s depressed, what do you want??? Also who tf needs to get married to be king, that’s not how that works also being king means virtually nothing nowadays anyway. Who cares???
(The other house leaders care cause they’ve all got some kinda messy patchwork sibling bond going from being put in charge of the gaggle of idiots known as the Officers Academy, which really ought to be considered as childcare experience. And using that logic they just decide to help Dimitri co-parent his unfortunate spawn and/or adopted wards, cause lord knows he can’t do it himself)
Jeralt (who also lives, fuck you) is eternally baffled by the group of children who have adopted his kid. Like these warring houses cane together for one singular reason: Jeralt’s kid is a treasure. Not that he disagrees, he just didn’t expect this to go so well! He even got a best friend/therapist/second child apprentice out of the deal
Byleth is a lot more chaotic than one would initially suspect, and in fact is responsible for just as many shenanigans as Claude
Eventually Rhea woke up and thought “maybe exclusively hiring emotionally unstable 20-year-olds to teach a bunch of emotionally unstable 20-year-olds was a bad idea” but it was Way Too Late... by that point the black eagles were rioting in the courtyard and starting a bonfire and drinking like it was the end of the world, the blue lions were having a collective mental breakdown complete with off key kazoo, and no one even knew where Golden Deer was! Byleth and Jeritza are A Thing... no one is sure what kind of Thing it is... but it sure is Something. And that Something happened to be caused by the students of Golden Deer and Black Eagles meddling to get their teachers to admit their very obvious crushes on each other. Needless to say they regret it just a little.
Byleth is like... concerningly ok with how Jeritza expresses affection. Like on the surface they’re your classic overly lovey-dovey couple—aside from the fact that Byleth is also involved with a handful of the students but shhh that’s on the down low cause Seteth is jealous that no one likes him—but when you look a little closer it’s just really creepy and weird.
Like Jeritza leaves notes on Byleth’s desk with flowers but the note is like “last night I dreamed about us holding hands and jumping off the roof together, it was amazing” and Byleth is just like “aw he dreamed about me!!!”
Claude is low key jealous cause like... why doesn’t Byleth keep his blood in a tiny vial on a necklace???? Probably cause that’s fuvking weird and something only Jeritza would do but still!!!
Also as far as polyamory goes, eventually someone comes along who understands Sylvain and explains why girls get mad that he dates multiple of them at a time and he sort of gets adopted into Golden Deer, not like as a full fledged member but like... they protect this tiny bi polyam dumbass. He’s a dumbass and he’s theirs and if anyone hurts his feelings they’re gonna know why we fear the deer
ALSO in my little theme of loving the redheads of this crew: Ferdie!!!! Ferdie’s design gives me Big Vibes. This bean is Friend Shaped™️!!!! I’m not gonna pin down a particular headcannon cause I wanna experiment with a few ideas, I’ve already seen a few people throwing ideas around and I really like them all! (In fact, I have a drawing coming up that was specifically suggested by someone from the tags 👀)
Each house has a specific pre-battle ritual that they do, it’s either been passed down for generations I.e. the black eagles reciting a little poem/creed thing and the Blue Lions doing a classic football huddle for a pep talk with their house leader... or re-made with each batch of students, like the Golden Deer “secret handshake” which for our batch is just everyone standing in a circle and grabbing the right wrist of the person to their right, then the same thing to the left, to create two circles of arms, then throwing their hands up screaming FEAR THE DEER

so i saw newsies twice this weekend at my local community college
these are some important things from each show
first of all their jack looked exactly like jerjor?? he was so good
like when i first saw him i was like Huh is that baby jeremy jordan? little teenage jerjor?
anyway crutchie was also very cute he had a pretty face and fluffy brown hair and fuck my uwus
they kinda rushed their lines throughout but it was all kids and not like a Pro Production so,, i’m lettin em off the hook for tht
the santa fe prologue was so,, pretty and lyrical just like in the soundtrack i was yellin
also this is when i’ll note there’s two string players in the pit and the violin is my orchestra teacher at school so i got to say “YOU SUCK” when i saw her at intermission before raving abt how AMAZING SHE IS LIKE DUDE SHE’S THE ONLY VIOLIN OUT OF TWELVE PEOPLE AND SHE CARRIED SO WELL
race was so short?? he was very short and very chaotic
also he wore a big red flannel and i was like “thts definitely not his” and i’ll get to this again later
albert was also very short and had a higher voice (race’s was surprisingly deep) and i was ,, he’s so cute albert was very cute
ALSO SPECS WAS A GIRL. SHE WAS THE BEST CAST MEMBER.

romeo was very very tall like i went out after the show and i hit his shoulders (i’m 5’9”.)
so many pirouettes. so much jumping over each other.
oscar was very very tall?? and morris was rlly short i was like Whoa!
also oscar was triple cast as jacobi and the guy jack sells davey’s pape to he was so talented

crutchie was so sweet. he was so sweet.
davey was so awkward in his vest and tie and button-up
and les was so EXPRESSIVE the whole time he was so talented
they all only got like 1-2 papes each but thts bc they only had one stack to grab from so it was ok but it was funny when jack counted davey’s one pape over and over again before WHOA NEW KID’S RIGHT
i’m sayin this now. i’m so sorry to the ppl i sat beside and in front of bc i went feral through the whole thing

pulitzer was so tall and proud and his stage presence,, wow
ALSO SEITZ WAS PLAYED BY A GIRL AND I YELLED
