Lusamine paused, glancing up from her paperwork with furrowed brows. It was faint, and she wondered for a moment if it had even been real, but... She thought she heard something like an explosion. While there was a moment of worry, it soon dissipated as she rationalized that it really couldn't have been anything like that - Heating and electrical had their bi-yearly fix-up last month, and there weren't any Pokemon in the facility that had Self-Destruct or Explosion...

She couldn’t finish her thought. When a long unused alarm began blaring, after having the daylights scared out of her, Lusamine's heart practically stopped. Eyes widening, blood turning cold, she pondered for a second how something could be both nostalgic and horrifying.

The Ultra Beast alarm was going off.

“President Lusamine!!” A voice suddenly called from her intercom, sounding just as panicked as she felt. “Lusamine!! Are you there?!”

“Yes,” Her voice shook. “Yes, I'm here. What's going on?”

“It's – It's UB-01! It's Nihilego, the – the one from Ultra Space!! It's gone! It's trying to escape!!” It took a little too long for the words to properly register, the feeling of dread that flooded her senses overwhelming her mind to the point of short-circuiting. Nihilego... Her Nihilego... The one that had been trapped in a safe for three years? It's trying to escape?

“What the fuck do you mean it's trying to escape?” She suddenly snapped, her entire body beginning to shake. “How did it get out of its ball?! Who let it out?!” Her breath hitched as her heart skipped a beat, the overload of emotions aggravating her heart's rhythm.

“N-No one! It just – It just got out! We don't – We don't know how! Please, Lusamine, we need help! It's attacking ever – yo – in the secre – abs! Ple – lp us ...”

“What happened? Are you there?” A pause, with no response. “Answer me!” The intercom turned into indecipherable static, and she smashed her fits against her desk in frustration. It didn't matter, enough had been said for Lusamine to know that everyone in the secret labs was in danger. Standing quickly and grabbing Zinnia's Pokeball, she bolted out of her office, nothing but adrenaline and fear pumping through her veins.

It feels like an eternity before she reaches her destination, the descent of the elevator slowly revealing the damage that her precious beast had caused – The door to Secret Lab A had been blown open, shrapnel and debris littering the ground and no doubt destroying any information that had been kept in there. Several employees had been knocked unconscious, with only one trying to command his Pokemon to attack the Ultra Beast, to do anything to stop whatever rampage it was on.

Things fell unnaturally silent when the elevator hit the ground, Lusamine's horrified gaze falling onto Nihilego, and time seemed to stop. The beast that she'd loved so, so much – Her beast, her precious beast that she did absolutely anything to be with, the beast she would have died for, had it wanted such a thing... For the first time in three long, painful, and lonely years... The two gazed at one another, as if they were the only two in the room – The only two in the world.

It saw her, and she knew that it recognized her. Its previous tantrum had come to a complete stop, and now it was facing her. Its two front tendrils nudged against each other, like a timid child fiddling with their hands, and Lusamine nearly threw up right then and there. Her breath kept catching as her heart pumped irregularly, her frame visibly trembling, unable to move, to release Zinnia, to subdue Nihilego for the safety of Alola...

She'd been so ready to fight it off, and now she found herself completely paralyzed at the mere sight of it.

The beast moved. Slowly, it floated a little closer to her, oddly cautious about what Lusamine might do. With its back fully turned, the employee commanded his Kadabra to strike it with a Psybeam. The beast quickly whipped around and fired off a Sludge Wave, the toxic gunk sinking into Kadabra's skin before it had a chance to do anything. It let out a strange, alien screech that no one could possibly decipher, but both Lusamine and her employee understood the message – It was a warning, don't interfere. She could only stare in abject horror as her precious beast turned back to face her, the halls eerily silent once again.

It was so close. No more than a foot away from her, Nihilego hovered in place, tilting its head and fiddling with its tentacles again... It almost looked like it felt shy. It recognized her, she was absolutely certain now... Why had it escaped? How had it escaped? Why was it doing this? What did it want from her? Why was it acting so sheepish? Why couldn't she move? Why couldn't she speak? Why was she reacting like this? Why? Why? Why why why whywhywhywhy-

“Ah...!”

Her stomach dropped when one of those cold tendrils lifted to gently touch her face. The softness of the gesture, how careful it was not to hurt her, how it resembled a loved one affectionately cupping her face... Her dull green eyes quickly welled up, and it took almost nothing for them to overflow. There was so much happening in her head, to the point that it felt like her brain might shut down. Lusamine was happy, she was sad, confused, shocked, filled with love, filled with hate, and she was so, so scared. The cascade of tears gave away everything she felt.

The stiff, slow, robotic movements of her arm breaking free from her frozen state was almost a surprise to her. It felt so unnatural that she wondered if she was imaging it, but the sharp jolt that came with touching something as cold as Nihilego felt far too real. Just as its touch had been, Lusamine's was tentative, almost reluctant, but there wasn't an ounce of animosity to be found. They gazed at each other silently while her tears continued to spill, but before too long, the Ultra Beast let out another strange and distorted screech.

This one was quiet, soft, and though she didn't know exactly what it was saying, she knew that it was something kind – Her heart wanted to believe it was kind. A hello, a goodbye, an 'I missed you', any sign of affection to let her know that Nihilego still loved her.

The tentacle slowly moved down her face, before Nihilego retracted it and put some distance between them. There was a wet, almost slimy residue left on her skin, and as her crying slowly became more and more hysterical, the more it seemed to burn.

Then, suddenly, the air behind Nihilego split, as if a knife had cut open the very fabric of space. She knew what was happening far before it opened completely – Yet, as the wormhole fully formed and Nihilego began to drift towards it, she still found herself unable to act. She couldn't stop it. She couldn't do a single fucking thing to stop her precious beast from leaving, to end up who knows where, to be on the loose in Alola once again.

All Lusamine could do was watch as Nihilego vanished into the wormhole, disappearing from Aether Paradise. The wormhole sealed itself back up, and just like that...

It was gone.

Her weakened knees finally caved in, and she collapsed to the ground, staring blankly at where her precious beast had been moments ago.

“M-Miss Lusamine!” The employee that had tried to protect her earlier suddenly sprinted up to her, now that there wasn't the threat of an Ultra Beast attacking him. “Lusamine, are you okay?! What – What happened? What was that?!” He kneeled down next to her, obvious concern on his face as he checked her for wounds.

She couldn't speak. In a moment of vulnerability, of genuine fear and infatuation – In a moment of weakness, she didn't do the one thing she needed to. She didn't protect her staff. She didn't stop Nihilego, she didn't even try to fight it. Zinnia's ball was still in her hand, her grip far too tight, so angry that she couldn't do something as simple as throwing it to let her Bewear take down the beast. Now, because of her... Because of Lusamine, the entire region was in danger. For the first time in years, that parasitic Ultra Beast was a threat to the entirety of Alola.

“Lusamine...?” The employee's voice was softer this time, likely in response to her growing distress. She opened her mouth, as if to respond, but all that came out was a horribly pathetic whimper before she caved into herself.

“H-Hey, Lusamine...” A gloved hand placed itself on her back, which she didn't acknowledge at all. The fact that she wasn't alone barely mattered in this moment, but god she would hate herself later for being this disgustingly pitiful in front of someone else.

Why couldn't she do anything? Why was she still so captivated by its beauty? Why was she so scared?

It was too much.

All Lusamine could do in this moment was cry.

Ok, but alternative Pokémon AU where all the siblings have a team of Pokémon? I see Diego having a bisharp and/or weevile because SHARP and maybe a noibat/noivern for vanya?

i am v tired but i will gently toss the Hargreeves As Gym Leaders at you bc it’s much easier than combing through pokemon and trying to mentally debate which pokemon would cut it on their team as Regular Trainers but if u want me to wax poetic about how Diego should totally have a wartortle yeet me another ask i can answer at my leisure lmao

feel free to add your own thoughts/ideas! while i have loved pokemon all my life i am by no means an expert uwu

Luther:

Gym leader: Luther is, of course, the fighting gym leader. He views strength as being essential to any pokemon team. He goes through a journey of self discovery where he has to unlearn all the toxic ideas that Reginald implanted regarding viewing pokemon solely as tools, but after that his bond with his team is very close and he ends up in a better place for it. His fighting style is very straightforward. He tends not to use many status moves and focuses on taking down his opponents hard and fast, which can make him a tricky opponent for beginning trainers.

Gym team:

➤ Gallade: Gallade is a very important pokemon of Luther’s because it’s siblings with Allison’s Gardevoir from back in the day when they were very close and decided to hatch some Ralts eggs together. Luther and Gallade grew up together, and Gallade considers Luther a bit like an idiot kid brother. Before Luther’s journey of self discovery, Gallade often disobeyed and frustrated Luther. After, they repaired their relationship and are closer than ever.

➤ Primeape: Honestly this is just a pokemon reference to Luther being half ape so that’s a thing. Primeape is a passionate fighter and gets angry when Luther doesn’t use them in battle, so they’re often the first pokemon that Luther throws out in a match so he can avoid getting yelled at later.

➤ Passimian: I am very lucky as to have multiple monkey themed fighting pokemon so I can make this a joke reference again thank you ladies and gents I will be here all week. Luther’s Passimian is somewhat lazy in that it prefers not to battle when they don’t have to. Primeape and Passimian can’t be out together at the same time because they are mortal enemies.

➤ Machoke: every good fighting gym has to have one of the macho evolutions, sorry I don’t make the rules. Not a machamp because Luther doesn’t trade pokemon with other people because he’s a Lonely Loner. Machoke and Luther are lifting bros, Machoke is out of his pokeball a lot because of this and also likes to help out around the gym.

➤ Bewear: because Luther is a bigass dude and Bewear is a bigass dude and I feel like they could bond over this fact. Also Luther could probably endure Bewear hugs and I feel like he deserves hugs and affection every once in a while, bless.

➤ Pangoro: A gift pokemon from Klaus! Because Klaus is the most gift-y of the siblings let’s be real. Luther raised it from a baby Pancham after Klaus just left the egg in his gym with a jaunty wave and salute. Klaus insists on having ‘visitation rights’ that he uses as an excuse to ambush Luther in his gym for Forced Family Bonding Time after they all vow to try and do better.

Diego:

Gym leader: Diego would be the steel gym leader! Because of course, sharp and pointy is very important. That, and he insists that all his pokemon have to be as tough as him if they want to be on his team. On the inside though, Diego is squishy soft and loves his team so much. He tends to sneak them lots of treats and is a bit of a pushover when it comes to them begging. If you want Diego to do something, win his pokemon over first. His strategy is either more roundabout or as straightforward as Luther’s, depending on when you catch him and how recently his siblings have pissed him off.

Gym team:

➤ Bisharp: raised from a Pawniard, Diego took one look at its sharp little knife hands and immediately fell head over heels in love. Still insists that Bisharp is the “coolest pokemon ever” and 10/10 would murder anyone who insults steel pokemon. Bisharp is just as intense as Diego and has a soft spot for Klaus, who sneaks them extra treats.

➤ Scizor: Diego really saw a bug pokemon in a shiny steel coat of armor and went “that one. that is the one for me.” and it was that simple. Scizor and Bisharp are good friends but Scizor is the one with a sense of self preservation who tries to stop her idiot trainer from implementing his more stupid ideas.

➤ Aggron: Aggron was raised from an Aron and has yet to grasp that evolution equals a big size difference. They still think they are tiny and want very much to curl up on Diego’s lap. Diego, the softie, allows this even though is genuinely murders his legs.

➤ Lucario: Diego still insists that fighting pokemon are stupid but has quieted down on that front a lot since he got Lucario. He still insists that Lucario is mainly a steel pokemon shut up and refuses to use fighting moves, which Lucario grudgingly accepts (but rolls their eyes real hard over it)

➤ Doublade: why have ONE knife when you can have TWO? or well, sword that is. Ben gave Diego doublade for a birthday and Diego actually cried he was so happy about it. Doublade likes to be out of their pokeball and appear from nowhere, freaking people out. They also like pets very much which Diego is happy to supply.

➤ Durant: Durant is more of? A pest? Than an actual pokemon that Diego uses? Diego’s Durant is out of its pokeball a lot and it likes to wander the premises biting people’s ankles with its pincer-like jaws. Diego finds this hilarious and tells everyone that they need constant vigilance. No one else is amused by this.

Allison:

Gym leader: Allison is the psychic gym leader! A mantle she actually briefly retired from but has taken up again. She tends to be one of the trickiest gym leaders in terms of actually even getting to her and she has lots of puzzles and traps hidden within her gym. She plays to her strengths and has a lot of tricks up her sleeves when it comes to battling - however there are times when she’s out of sync with her pokemon and it shows. Change is slow to come to her, but she’s trying very hard.

Gym team:

➤ Gardevoir: Allison raised her Gardevoir from a Ralts with Luther, who has Gardevoir’s twin, Gallade, on his team. Gardevoir is a proud pokemon who dislikes battling weak pokemon, and is usually the last pokemon that Allison uses in a battle because of this.

➤ Hatterene: Allison’s Hatterene hates everybody except maybe Allison, sometimes. When Allison is feeling emotional, Hatterene and her are very out of sync vs. when Allison is feeling calmer and more sure of herself. This discord only came about after the family decided to Actually Try and so Hatterene dislikes most of the other Hargreeves. Allison keeps them in their pokeball most of the time.

➤ Meowstic: Allison’s meowstic is very protective of her and is very competitive in battle. They hate to lose because they feel like they’re disappointing Allison in some way, even though Allison’s love does not depend on their winning ability. Somewhat insecure, Allison tends to sneak them berries on the down low.

➤ Espeon: Espeon would like very much to be seen as regal and graceful and untouchable and would totally pull it off if Allison didn’t scratch their chin in a way that makes them melt and then rub their belly for all the world to see.

➤ Galarian Rapidash: Absolutely has to have their mane brushed every day or they WILL die. Insists on Allison riding on their back everywhere and has memorized the route to every gym. Sometimes Allison will just hop on her rapidash’s back and let them take her wherever.

➤ Indeedee: A psychic/normal pokemon that Allison added to her team after mission FTFF (fix this fucking family) was a go. She got her indeedee to feel closer to Vanya and often has this pokemon out. She finds Indeedee soothing to talk to and a good listener.

Klaus:

Gym leader: While saying ghost would be easy pickings, Klaus is actually the dark gym leader. With his intense fear of ghosts (though surprisingly this does not apply to Ben) it shouldn’t be a shock that he surrounds himself with pokemon who can protect him from his fear. Klaus is tricky to face is battle purely because he’s so unpredictable - you never know what his next move will be or what strategy he will use. He does have a tendency to shirk responsibility and go wandering though, and many trainers need to hunt him down to claim their battle with him.

Gym team:

➤ Galarian Linoone: Klaus found a Galarian zigzagoon in a trash can once and since that day that have been inseparable. What was Klaus doing in a trash can you might ask? He changes the story every time, so no one can ever be sure of the truth.

➤ Thievul: a pokemon that share’s Klaus’s magpie-esque nature in that it’s an absolute pick pocket. You genuinely have to log all your belongings before you enter Klaus’s gym so that you can be sure to leave with them. Has a longstanding rivalry with Liepard over who can steal the most shit without the trainer noticing.

➤ Liepard: an exceptionally sneaky pokemon that enjoys spooking people and stealing things. Very adept at the smash and grab as well. Liepard is more territorial than Thievul and takes more convincing to give up their hard earned loot, especially since Klaus is often laughing way too hard to be too insistent on giving it it back.

➤ Umbreon: A persnickety little shit, Klaus’s umbreon is fussy and dramatic and demands attention at All Times. Possibly related to Allison’s Espeon, though Espeon would never admit it. Umbreon often knocks things over for attention and has a loud cry that echoes and isn’t afraid to use it.

➤ Mightyena: The only level-headed one out of all of Klaus’s pokemon who is also an adult. Has absolutely given up on keeping anyone in line, especially Liepard and Thievul. Has been known to sit on Umbreon when they’re crying too loudly. Probably the most reliable and dependable of Klaus’s pokemon and knows it. The closest of Klaus’s pokemon with Ben - they share a certain sort of kinship over the levels of Klaus bullshit they deal with on a daily basis.

➤ Pawniard: The child of Diego’s bisharp that was a gift from the pokemon itself due to its large soft spot for Klaus (partially due to Klaus’s reliability when it comes to treats, partly because Diego often even likes having Klaus over though he won’t admit it). Klaus dotes on the little Pawniard and often enthusiastically visits Diego’s gym with it so it can visit with its parent as well while Klaus coos over the cuteness in the background and Diego refuses to comment.

Five:

Gym leader: Five is the dragon gym leader! Dragon type pokemon are notorious for being slow to evolve, staying in their comparatively weaker unevolved forms for much longer than any other type. This vibes with Five being the ‘youngest’ of the seven and slowest to grow up. Five is a tough nut to crack and is very strategic in his battles, adapting to whatever his opponents do. People often complain he seems to be five steps ahead of them. He commands complete respect from his pokemon team, and even though he pretends he doesn’t have feelings he’s secretly as protective of them as they are of him.

Gym team:

➤ Dragapult/Dreepy: Five has a Dragapult which sounds fine and dandy except he also has a corresponding army of Dreepy that aren’t actually a part of his team that keep? Showing up? Five isn’t sure if they’re his Dragapult’s kids or if they’re just wild Dreepy or what but they sure do seem to like being shot like missiles so. That’s a thing. When there get to be too many Five rounds up some and dumps them on Ben’s doorstep.

➤ Dratini: Honestly Dratini was an accidental acquisition. They like to drape around Five’s shoulders (and they are large so this is not an easy thing to deal with) and have a mind of their own. They’re very protective of Five, which often leads to Five spitting curses at them because he can protect his damn self but Dratini never seems to care about this. Even though Five always threatens to get rid of them, he’d never actually go through with it.

➤ Zweilous: The two heads constantly bicker unless Five scolds them over it, in which case they tend to act like abashed children. They have a tendency to follow Five around like very large ducklings. Klaus comes over occasionally to gently coo over them while Five bristles and yells at his brother to get out, or to at least use the door.

➤ Flapple: Flapple has a one-sided rivalry with Dratini which Dratini is completely unaware of over Five’s attention and, primarily, his neck. Dratini is really too big to be trying to drape across Five’s shoulder, and Flapple would very much like that real estate thanks. It’s an ongoing battle.

➤ Fraxure: Five’s Fracture is a somewhat nervous pokemon who likes to hide behind Five a lot. Five raised them from an Axew after they had to be removed from their nest because their playmates were too rough with them. Five is surprisingly good with them, and Fraxure is absolutely loyal to him.

➤ Noivern: Five’s noivern is an absolute asshole who loves Five. Klaus says that it’s one asshole recognizing another, superior asshole. He likes to swoop down and land on Five’s back, bowling him over, and then preens his trainer’s hair lovingly. He’s also inexplicably fond of Vanya and does happy dances whenever she comes around. He attacks pretty much everyone else though, which Five has done nothing to discourage.

Ben:

Gym leader: Growing up, Ben wanted to be the water gym leader but after an unfortunate incident involving the loss of his pokemon at the hands of Reginald, Ben became the ghost gym leader instead. Ben is notoriously tricky to get a hold of and if almost never actually found at his gym, making any trainer who wants to face him have to hunt him down. The first place they check should be Klaus’s gym, which Ben often seems to haunt (ha). He doesn’t particularly like battling and frustrates people by using a lot of moves that ‘protect’ his team, which draws battles out for a long time.

Gym team:

➤ Mimikyu: Ben’s Mimikyu has been with him for a long long time. It’s rumored that Ben has seen what is under Mimikyu’s cloak/costume, though Ben himself has never confirmed nor denied this fact. Ben’s biggest hobby is lovingly making Mimikyu a variety of different costumes. (Klaus has knitted it several hats, which it also appreciates).

➤ Drakloak/Dreepy: Every time too many Dreepy gather in Five’s gym, he drops some off with Ben. Ben’s Drakloak is very enthusiastic about this and dotes on all the little Dreepies running around underfoot. Ben isn’t sure whether to scream or just accept his life. He offers a free Dreepy with every gym badge won just to try and get some of them out of his gym.

➤ Phantump: Ben doesn’t really battle with Phantump, he just carries them around all day in his arms while they nap. They’re a curious little thing and have a habit of getting into places they really shouldn’t be when Ben isn’t keeping an eye on them.

➤ Polteageist: Sinistea’s come into being when a spirit possesses a cold leftover cup of tea. Klaus has a habit of interrupting Ben and dragging him on adventures. Ben is running out of tea cups in his house they are all getting possessed. And also he has a polteageist as well. Which is fine. Everything is fine.

➤ Gengar: Gengar is a pokemon who is continuously trying to scare Ben and fails miserably because Ben is just that unflappable. He accepted his fate long ago, and if he can suffer through Klaus he can suffer through everything. Gengar is determined to frighten Ben though, and won’t quit trying.

➤ Chandelure: Chandelure likes to follow Ben around and provide lighting. They have a tendency to just hang themself up in whatever room Ben happens to be occupying and Ben always thanks then because he’s polite like that. Chandelure thrives on their trainer’s thanks, so this works out well for them.

Vanya:

Gym leader: Even though Vanya being the ice or poison leader would be sick, she’s probably the normal gym leader. There are lots of parallels between Vanya having a ‘normal’ team vs. her being considered as ordinary and I feel like it would be cool to see Vanya succeed with ‘ordinary’ pokemon. Plus lets be real normal pokemon can be very versatile with what moves they can learn so Vanya is actually a very strong trainer with very diverse pokemon who can take on anyone who wishes to challenge her.

Gym team:

➤ Exploud: raised from a tiny little unassuming Whismur, Exploud is the powerhouse of Vanya’s team. Why are you putting in ear plugs Vanya, you ask? Yeah it’s because she’s about to send in Exploud. Otherwise though they’re frequently out of the pokeball and follow Vanya around. They’re very very loyal.

➤ Eevee: As a pokemon with possibly the most adaptable DNA, eevee is representative of Vanya’s potential. Eevee refuses to evolve and is happy as an eevee, and Vanya does nothing to discourage this mindset. Her eevee is a stubborn little thing who likes getting their way, and it shows.

➤ Furret: Furret is - enthusiastic is a good word for it. Friendly to the point of concern is another way to put it. For whatever reason it loves Five? Privately Vanya thinks it’s because Five is all skin and bones and childish lankiness that Furret seems to have mistaken for its own child since it likes to curl around him so much though. Vanya is secretly an asshole who likes to see Five sputter and snarl though so it all works out perfectly.

➤ Audino: Audino is Vanya’s chillest pokemon. They just like to hang out and don’t mind any of the others. Like a capybara, no one really bothers Audino and in fact are usually on their best behavior when Audino is around. Unfortunately, Audino dislikes being out of their pokeball for long lengths of time and needs to recharge before seeing more people.

➤ Persian: A proud pokemon, Persian is the most fickle of Vanya’s pokemon. They love to battle and they love to win. Vanya’s relationship with Persian was somewhat fraught back when she was more of a wallflower, but Persian has come to grudgingly respect Vanya and listens to her unfailingly.

➤ Girafarig: Vanya got this pokemon after the family decided to actually make an effort, and so Vanya got a normal/psychic pokemon and Allison got a psychic/normal pokem to represent their new determination to put actual work and effort into their bond. Girafarig is very playful and gets along well with almost everybody.

Akala Island, the rugged island to find your strength Current Kahuna: Olivia Iona Former Kahuna: Tui Mahi'Ai Guardian Deity: Tapu Lele Capital: HeaHea City Main Export: Ranch produce, Fish Main Import: Fruit -Akala Island is a bit more workable rugged though Hapu will frequently attempt to dispute this. As a mass expanse of Paniola and the area near Wela volcano is ranch/farm land, the terrain is meant for raising animals in place of Melemele's terrain more for fruit and berry growth. As such they depend on imports of fruit and other things unable to be naturally produced. -Lush Jungle is not as explored as Olivia or Mallow let on. Which is why Mallow never leaves unless she's sure no one else is there and doesn't let a trial goer keep going unless they can utilize their search Pokemon. People die in that jungle and there is so rarely a definite cause of death. -Brooklet Hill is not so different either. Sharpedo and Gyarados get stuck here sometimes and an unfortunate trial goer or swimmer find this out the hard way. This usually falls on Olivia or Lana to deal with -Akala Island has quite literally the most vicious guardian deity out of all of them. It is not rare to see Tapu Lele hassling people and Pokemon with Olivia not far behind. Everyone knows and visitors are warned Tapu Lele is guiltlessly cruel and while she may giveth at times, she will taketh more. If you are injured or sick, its best not to stay home and go to the doctor so Tapu Lele can't find you -The island is extremely festive and active with the most monthly and yearly festivals in all of Alola. -Because Kiawe's ranch and Lana's fishing provide the main source of export, they're pretty prominent in the travel guide right next to Tapu Lele, the Dimension Research Lab, Aina Cafeteria and the most popular stores. -Akala has the biggest hospital in Alola as well quite possibly due to Tapu Lele mostly but also the very real danger in the trials. Its almost always busy since the other islands aren't equipped for everything. -Because the island itself is so big, there are places in the expanse of Lush Jungle, Brooklet Hill and even the area by the Ruins of Life that are very unexplored. Good for camping though ----------------------- -Akala doesn't have as prominent breeding facilities as Melemele or Ula'Ula but they do have records on the variants in Stufful, Mudbray, Eevee, Salandit, Wishiwashi and Bounsweet -Stufful variants include: standard, toy, competition and stunted --Standard Stufful are wild and controlled in their breeding to prevent any crossbreeding defects. They are actually easy to train and keep as pets. Though it is strongly recommended to tire them out with exercise and play so they won't destroy your belongings in an attempt to play. --Toy Stufful are bred to have near inhumane small stature and an unnecessary more docile temperament. They are so small and cute making them ideal family pets in place of other pet options. Toy Stuffuls are hard to obtain and its not unheard of to find out about one being stolen from a home. --Competition Stufful like competition Litten are extremely hard to gain license for and train. Should you risk illegally owning a competition Stufful/Bewear, you risk the Pokemon killing you since again they are hard to care for and potential bad breeding can make them aggressive --Stunted Stufful are wild as well and sometimes abandoned at birth. By comparison stunted Stufful could have a myriad of problems. Dwarfism, respiratory problems, bent ears or even a coat defect like albinism, leucism or piebald. The ones with coat defects are usually captured or picked off by predators -Mudbray variants include: standard, toy and competition --Standard Mudbray are usually wild and easily captured. Their care is typically minimal though feeding more then one is a bit costly and it is discouraged to keep one inside because they're messy --Toy Mudbray are small typically small enough to squeeze in through a pet door. Their coats are fluffy and much easier to clean then standard. Because of how small they are it is very illegal to use them in battle of any kind --Competition Mudbray though bred for battle are often bought for work like pulling a plow or a cart too heavy for Tauros. Despite their intended use, competition Mudbray/Mudsdale are friendly and patient -Eevee variants include: standard, toy, competition, show and stunted --Standard Eevee are often given to a native Akala child like Yungoos on Melemele, Meowth on Ula'Ula and Miltank calves on Poni to teach a semblance of responsibility with Pokemon. The Eevee is often kept as a lasting team and family member --Toy Eevee are very common on Akala. Most are bred with a fluffy coat and short legs to be a lap pet. Some pop up with a silky coat or without the signature fluffy collars. --Competition Eevee are bred with a large parent often Arcanine or Lycanroc. This does result in a larger Eevee but also horrendous aggression problems. These Eevee almost never become Umbreon, Espeon or Sylveon as they struggle in terms of forming bonds. --Show Eevee are often purebred or have a Primarina or Delcatty parent for extra flair in their coat or personality. Show Eevee are also reported stolen a lot as their breeding makes them weak in terms of defending themselves thus the perfect bait Pokemon --Stunted Eevee are usually ones rescued from extremely illegal fur farms or very defective from bad breeding. Stunted Eevees may have Snubbul snout causing respiratory problems or terrible social problems but they can make good pets if given proper care and love. Salandit variants include: standard, toy and show --Standard Salandits are always wild and most likely male as the females are hidden or protected by the males. It takes a great deal of baiting and trust to lure a female out from her gang. Once captured however the Salandit will ease up to her trainer. --Toy Salandits are bred with different reptilemons for a single parent. A toy Salandit can be bred to have toes but not claws, ridges on its head and jaw or even a longer noodle like body. The females are often always without scent abilities from birth. --Show Salandits so often are purebred as well since a Salazzle loves to be adored with attention. However more professional breeders will want to breed Garchomp or Haxorus to get a Salazzle that can stun the audience with impressive feats of strength. Wishwashi variants include: standard, toy, competition, show and stunted --Standard Wishwashi like Salandits are usually wild. Keeping a Wishwashi from others or where it can't get around is considered extremely cruel since being without a school causes it anxiety --Toy Wishwashi are bred small. Small enough that a school can fit in a tank. The Wishwashi seen at the Akala Aquarium are toy variant. --Competition Wishwashi are one of few competition Pokemon that are easy to obtain. But it is strongly discouraged you do not release them and simply surrender them to the nearest shelter. Competition Wishwashi will wreak absolute havoc on the ecosystem since they can bully out all of their natural predators --Show Wishwashi are sometimes bred from a Lanturn or Sharpedo relative to give them a more wider acceptance of learning. With it show Wishiwashi can be taught to school in different forms like Gyarados, Sharpedo or even Kyogre --Stunted Wishiwashi are the ones you see sad and alone in a bowl. They're often from a long line of Wishwashi kept secluded in a botched attempt at making them docile. Introducing them to a school though well-meaning is typically fatal since they won't have any way of knowing how to act in a school Bounsweet variants include: standard, toy and show --Standard Bounsweet are often a toss up between being wild or lightly domesticated. They are sweet and friendly usually having no problem being captured or adopted. --Toy Bounsweet are actually bigger then their standard selves. The largest being the size of a beach ball. Toy Bounsweet are meant to sit on laps and be played with by children without fear of hurting them --Show Bounsweet are bred to become models as Tsareena. As long as its within safe guidelines as there have been some Tsareena severely malnourished to appear smaller and more delicate. So often show Tsareena that are left or seized can't ever settle in a home since they fear being left again. --------------------------------------------------- HeaHea City -Akala Aquarium is here with hours from 10AM to 6PM. Their most well known attraction is an albino Sharpedo who's been there for many years. Its a pretty popular date site and one of the highest rated places to visit on Akala. -There are plenty of clothing shops and a single large grocery store. Super inconvenient that its the only grocery store on Akala making it a hassle for anyone in Paniola or Konikoni to buy food. They do make a killing in terms of delivering though -The Dimension Research Lab where Burnet works is also here. Sometimes its open for visitors but other times it isn't. Paniola Town -Kiawe and Baloo Mahi'Ai live here on the largest ranch in Alola. Everyone knows about the ranch and it provides most of Alola with dairy, eggs and the like. They've never been known to take sick days or be late on any delivery Royal Avenue -The Battle Royal Dome is what attracts most attention here. The Masked Royal battles here every Friday against his arch-nemesis of the week. Course the battles aren't fixed or anything but its hard to keep one person constantly coming back -The Thrifty Megamart and malasada shop attract a decent amount of attention. Usually people living in Paniola who don't want to go all the way to HeaHea to get simple things like bread or chips go to the Megamart. Route 8 -The Aether Foundation building has since been taken over by Milo and turned into his house where he lives with Mallow. Nothing suspicious here. Carry on -Before reaching the motel and trailer with questionable plans, there's a building surrounded by Stufful and the occasional Bewear. That's where Ty works taking care of the bears. The ones on the property are chipped to discourage theft Konikoni City -The market here is to make up for the lack of a store nearby. They sell fresh fish caught by Lana, delivered products from Kiawe's ranch and all kinds of things. Mallow frequents this place even making sure she's there first to get all the good stuff -Mallow's restaurant is across from the market and she makes the commute to get here everyday. There's a new "Mallow special" everyday too and its some unfortunate soul's luck to order it. Like the Akala Aquarium, it is a popular date spot. -Olivia's shop is beside Mallow's restaurant but her actual house is near the outskirts of the town. Her shop sells mostly accessories and evolution stones. It seems to be the only place in Alola that sells jewelry ------------------------------------------------ Akala Tourney -Every year the kahunas and trial captains gather to hold a sort of bragging rights style tournament overseen by the Champion. This sometimes takes over to please the tapus if no one is able to take the island challenge that year Comfey Festival -A specific week out of the year is dedicated to giving leis made by Comfey or yourself. However if a Comfey makes your lei, its only fair you make one to give back. The Comfey appreciates the gesture too Akala Derby -Once every season there's a pretty awesome race around Akala by land, sea, air and a sort of hybrid of the three. Local charities and fundraisers tend to use the races to raise money for good causes. Cooking Festival -Usually around summer, Olivia hosts a get together where everyone brings food and some people bring up something already cooked to see who's top tier chef. There's usually no prize but there is a lot of food to go around. Fish Festival -Hosted by Lana every year. Like most of the festivities there isn't a prize beside Lana saying "nice job" if you win Wela Fire Festival -A responsibility that bounces between Kiawe and Olivia but very often Olivia does it. Typically has to be stretched over several days as a lot of trainers visit even from other regions. The revenue generated is insane though

RWBY/Pokemon Crossover.

Because this is something I don’t see a lot of people do. Why, No idea. This will involve teams. Pokemon I think would be with these particular people in RWBY. Why because I’m bored and it’s something to do. This will be my opinion you do not have to share in my opinion at all. Just putting that out there if you like it, awesome if not that’s fine too. If you have better suggestions hell post em, I would love to hear your opinions on this. WILL NOT BE ADDING LEGENDS cause lets be fair. We’re doing this in a particular order: Team RWBY Team JNPR Team CFVY Team SSSN Team STRQ Team WTCH Baddies: (Meaning like Mercury, Emerald, Neo, Roman, ect) Ect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Team RWBY: Ruby Rose: First Pokemon: Scyther = Scizor (Male) Why Scyther: I don’t know I just picture something fast and for some reason Scyther makes sense to me. Later evolving it into Scizor. Plus she’d probably go fan-girling over Scyther’s claws can anyone but me picture that. “OMG You’ve got little scythes for hands, I LOVE IT!” Second Pokemon of choice: Vulpix = Ninetails (Male) Why Vulpix: Because Ruby loves cute things despite them not always being weapons so why not an adorable so why not Vulpix, plus Ninetails will be very good to have around during winter days. Third Pokemon: Growlithe - Possible Arcanine (Female) Why Growlithe: I’d just picture Ruby fawning over it because it’s an adorable dog, kinda like Zwei so it would be something I think she would take if only to cuddle. Fourth Pokemon: Gabite = Garchomp (Male) Why Gabite: Again Ruby is the type that will fangirl over Gabite despite how it looks she’ll fall in love with it’s evolution even faster. Plus all that speed and raw power is a plus. Fifth Pokemon: Dewott = Samurott (Male) Why Dewott = Why not, like it’s adorable quick in the water and when it evolves it gets a hell of a weapon and we all know how Ruby feels about weapons. Little weapon junkie. Sixth Pokemon: Roserade (Female) Why Roserade: Well I honestly would be a fool not to put a rose pokemon on Ruby’s team, I was going to make it excadrill or lurantis but would have people giving me shit for not adding her. Plus it suits her to some extent too. ------------------------------------------ Weiss Schnee: First Pokemon: Kirlia = Gardivoir (Female) Why Kirlia: Well when I picture Weiss I picture a graceful and elegant type of pokemon and Kirlia is one of the first of many on that list. Plus Gardivoir just seems like a smart choice. Second Pokemon: Persian (Male) Why Persian: Elegance again and Persian screams it. Plus it is also pretty powerful which is something I think Weiss would appreciate. Third Pokemon: Brionne = Primarina (Female) Why Brionne: Honestly yes the idea of her having a Brionne seems like a silly idea but I can picture Weiss underestimating it till it’s final evolution into the beautiful Primarina. Fourth Pokemon: Froslass (Female) Why Froslass: Cause again it is a elegant yet beautiful pokemon with a bit more power to it but is a tad more fragile then other pokemon on this list. Kinda like Weiss it’s power is immense but it can only take so many hits before it’s knocked down. Fifth Pokemon: Alolan Vulpix = Alolan Ninetails (Female) Why Alolan Vulpix: Cause I wanted something to counter Ruby’s regular Vulpix plus opposites and all that jazz, also it does suit her despite what others will think. Sixth Pokemon: Milotic (Female) Why Milotic: Cause why not it’s beautiful, it’s strong, it’s badass. Is judged strictly based on it’s beauty alone and blows the crowd ------------------------------------------ Blake Belladonna: First Pokemon: Liepard (Female) Why Liepard: Again being biased here. But also Liepard does kinda give off a broody, dark vibe (Aside from it’s typing) and I think it would be perfect as a first pick for Blake. Second Pokemon: Absol (Male) Why Absol: A misunderstood pokemon that is only said to cause bad luck, I figured it would be a perfect choice for a second pokemon for Blake. Third Pokemon: Sneasel = Wevile (Female) Why Sneasel: Another pokemon that is misunderstood and judged right off the bat due to its looks alone. Figured it would also be pretty sharp witted which is what Blake is as well. Fourth Pokemon: Pyroar (Female) Why Pyroar: Again biased Lion pokemon, a firey cat just again something I’d like to picture Blake having. A fierce look under a cute face another Blake in disguise xD Fifth Pokemon: Greninja (Male) Why Greninja: It’s legit a freaking ninja, I was gonna use it as a play on words and reference towards her Ninja’s of love book. Just for that sake alone along with the fact Blake is a damn ninja so why not. Sixth Pokemon: Meowstic (Male) Why Meowstic: Because I’m a biased asshole and Blake is a cat. Just kidding no no but seriously Meowstic is a pokemon I rarely ever see being used and can be pretty good another underestimated pokemon for an underestimated kitty. (I AM NOT SORRY.) ------------------------------------------ (This one I’ve been dying to do) Yang Xiao Long: First Pokemon: Pignite = Emboar (Male) Why Pignite = Emboar: Once again this actually makes sense to me. Yang is someone who loves to be underestimated cause it makes her feel even better when she’s beating you into dirt. Judge by not looks alone cause looks can be deceiving and that’s exactly why I pictured Yang having an Pignite/Emboar as her first pokemon. Second Pokemon: Kangaskhan (Female) Why Kangaskhan: With Yang being known as the mother of the group I want to add a pokemon that is nurturing, protective and at the same time very strong. So Kangaskhan seemed like the best choice. Third Pokemon: Luxray (Male) Why Luxray: Frankly it was this or a male pyroar and I figured that would be too obvious. Luxray has a lot more to offer though and not as many weaknesses as Pyroar so it naturally seemed like a better choice. Fourth Pokemon: Kommo-o (Male) Why Kommo-o: Why not?, Like seriously did you guys really think I wasn’t gonna give Yang a dragon type. This one is absolute power and I love it and it is perfect for Yang. Fifth Pokemon: Bewear (Female) Why Bewear: The pokemon’s name is an actual pun for one. It’s also probably one of few pokemon that can handle a Yang powered hug all while deliver one of it’s own. Sixth Pokemon: Lucario (Female) Why Lucario: A hard worker, loves to train and work out it’s aura. So I can somewhat picture Yang using this lovely pokemon as a training partner but that’s just me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ And this is so far just Team RWBY. Next will be Team JNRP.
