We need a Hen and Karen episode but instead of dealing with a serious storyline I need it to be one emergency and then Hen dropping on the bed and going, "guess who was eye fucking on an emergency again?"
And karen goes, "God, these two are so far in the closet I am sure they have created Narnia by now."
Only for them to giggle and Karen to pour Hen some wine.
OR
Hen: "Bobby knows."
Karen: What?
Hen: Bobby knows Eddie is not straight.
Karen: Bobby? I mean, yeah he is perceptive but Bobby? Before Athena?
Hen: Exactly!
Karen: and Eddie still doesn't know?
Hen: are you kidding me? That man can have gay written on his mirror and his catholic ass will prob make it about happiness.
Karen: *giggling*, so did you add Bobby to the bet pool?
The fact that we had Buck trying to keep Eddie alive in the firetruck after the sniper, and now we have Hen trying to save Karen in the ambulance, and Hen/Buck being with Denny/Christopher when the other parent is stuck in the hospital, and- Screaming. Endless screaming.
Hi hon! Love hearing from you, it’s always like getting a hug, so I’m sending one right back to you! ^u^
And isn’t it just insane? I’m just not over HOW MANY parallels there were between Henren and Buddie. I expected a few, but I did not anticipate there would be so many, I wouldn’t even catch them all in the weekly meta post, and one would hit me afterwards. But it just goes to show something, when not only do Buddie parallel canon ships, but the canon ship they parallel the most is the one canon same sex one... I just find it hard to believe that’s a coincidence. Endless screaming indeed! XD
Thank you so much, my darling, and hope you have a wonderful day! xoxox
(and if anyone’s looking for it, here is my ask tag! xoxox)
9-1-1 is really doing such a good job handling certain topics with such care this season especially when it comes to Hen and Karen and their adoption process.
One subtle but important detail in 7X05 is when they are told the grandmother of the baby they are wanting to adopt/foster changed her mind their was no moment of them trying to pressure the social worker to get the grandmother to change her mind while yes disappointed they were happy the baby got to stay with family.
They also were/are taking steps to ensure Mara felt as safe as possible in their care especially when they wanted to learn about her past so they can know how to meet her needs. This is such healthy representation surrounding adoption/fostering in a show I’ve seen in a long time.
