How to ask for donations safely

A simple guide to asking for support by someone who busts scam accounts on a daily basis. Feel free to share with your own tips!

- Don’t mass send asks to share your pinned aid post. If you want to send asks, keep in mind not all users are comfortable getting them. This can get you banned by accident if you spam them multiple times. Read the bio of the blogs or their own pinned post to see if they are alright with it.

- Don’t mass send DMs asking people to share your pinned aid post. This is the fastest way to get ‘shadowbanned’ which is when you can’t be found by anyone and you are hidden in the notes. This happens when you spam multiple users too much. I think contacting staff should get this fixed. Don’t multi-account to get around this and just spam again.

- If your needed amount is over $1k, it’s suggested to set up a gofundme if your able to. Not everyone on tumblr has that amount accessible and it’s not going to be quick that you reach the goal. There are other places that can help you if it’s necessary.

- Keep your askbox/messages open so if people ask questions you can answer them. It’s preferred you address any concerns publicly as in private no one else would see it. Be willing to provide anything asked for by redacting person information but leaving anything relevant.

- Do not steal someone else’s photographs. Do not steal someone else’s fundraiser. Don’t use stock photos. Use only the information that belongs to you. And don’t pretend to be someone else.

at the other anon: tumblr DOES filter words and not just tags. There's "filtered tags" and "filtered content" and if u don't want to see a word mentioned at all you have to add it to your "filtered content." If the anon does this you don't have to tag your posts

Hey y’all psa, if you drive a Hyundai or Kia…. Bear with me y’all I know most of us are gay and don’t drive… but for those of us that are gay and DO drive, if you drive a Hyundai or Kia, certain of those models didn’t originally have anti theft devices and there are recalls about this after learning how easy it is for these models to be STOLEN. So I recommend checking out this website for more information. Because these companies will fix that security risk for free.

Also even if your car does have an antitheft device, maybe invest in a wheel lock or some visual deterrent. I uhhh say this because today…

Hmmm you could try the tag “middle space” or “middle regression” I believe that would work on ao3. (On the other hand you can use the tags baby space for younger regression fics.) Agere fics are so hard to search for and ao3’s tagging system for age regression is janky to begin with so I wish you the best in finding good fics <3

Here is something new: Information on the "Lightron Works Company." I wonder if Holine Company was one of the rival companies that rose up when it split? Just how "HEATED" were their "battles?"

"Alivel Holding Company" did more than run a mall. They were involved in the entertainment, food and service industries.

Holine Custom Auto (Or, Auto Custom--as depicted here) was into more than just making cars. They were also involved in construction and industrial manufacturing, and likely created the rides at Wondaria.

I will continue to collect artifacts and observe the landscape for clues.

Hey all, you know how internet searches suck now? When the results are awful, full-of-AI, death-of-the-internet levels of bad?

Start appending date constraints to your searches - "before:2023".

My results have gone from 90% AI bullshit to ~60% usable - which frankly at this point is a huge improvement.

Hello! I just replied to you on your post about how many stuffies you had or something. I wanted to let you know that a lot of my stuffies came from eBay and Amazon. So if you get any there make sure to wash them. NEVER DRY THEM!!!

ALWAYS AIR DRY!!!

I know you didn’t ask but I felt the need to share it. A lot of people don’t know this and a lot of people end up ruining their plushies(not on purpose) by drying them in a dryer. It melts their fur and it’s extremely hard to undo if that’s even possible.

I always wash mine on a low setting with cold water. I add a bit of fabric softener to mine. And then I take them out and brush them. And then I set them outside on a towel and check on them a lot. I hope you find this helpful even if you didn’t ask. I hope you get to your goal of collecting a lot of stuffies! ❤️ if you do have any questions send a message. The few times I have washed my stuffies they have always been hung out to dry mostly cause we don’t use our dryer a lot, but I will definitely keep this in mind for next time.
