The Beauty of the Land of The Muslims
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photo #1 : The Kaaba (Block Box) is the direction that Muslims from all over the globe face while praying each of their five daily prayers. The Kaaba is located in Mecca and its walls were erected by none other than Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) [peace be upon him] thousands of years prior to Moses [P.B.U.H.] and prior to Jesus [P.B.U.H.]. They are all mentioned in the Bible as well as the Quran. Christians, Jews and Muslims all claim Ibrahim (Abraham) [P.B.U.H.] hence the term “Abrahamic Religions.” Although all claim him, it is believed by Muslim that we have the right to do so because of his attempt to only worship one God and staying away from worshipping other people or idols.
Photo #2 : Mount Hira was where the Prophet Mohammed [P.B.U.H] would seclude himself from all the trials and tribulations of indecency, impurities and association of partners with Allah which is believed by Muslims to be the worst sin. It is said by Muslims that during the month of Ramadan, while in a cave inside this mountain, Jibreal (Gabriel), the chief angel, came to the Prophet Mohammed [P.B.U.H.] and recited the first couple of verses of the last and final revelation that Allah would give humanity, The Quran.
Photo #3 : Masjid Quba was the first masjid that the Prophet Mohammed [P.B.U.H] prayed in after being exiled from Mecca. One day, there were Muslims praying in the Mosque when the Prophet [P.B.U.H] received revelation and was told to change the direction of our prayers. Muslims, Jews, and Christian’s used to face the same direction, Jerusalem, while praying but it is believed that Allah told them to change in order to differentiate Muslims from the other Abrahamic faiths.
Photo #4 : Al Masjid an Nabawi (The Prophet’s [P.B.U.H] Mosque) is the second holiest place in Islam, second to only Masjid Al Haram (where the Kaaba is located.) The Prophet [P.B.U.H.] helped build this Mosque but obviously wasn’t able to see the mosque at its final form.
Photo #5 : The rooftop of Al Masjid an Nabawi where you can feel a nice breeze, read some Quran, and drink Zam Zam water. Zam Zam water is a sacred well located in Mecca, near the Kaaba. It holds significant importance for Muslims because it is believed to be miraculously provided by Allah for the Prophet Ibrahim's wife, Hajar, and their son Isma'il [Peace be upon all of them]. Muslims visiting Mecca drink Zam Zam water for its spiritual significance and blessings. The craziest thing about Zam Zam is, it was a little well yet it has quenched the thirst of millions in Mecca, and millions in Madina on a daily basis for over 5000 years.
Photo #6 : This graveyard was a reminder that stopped me in my tracks. Most of the people here have been dead for way longer than they’ve been alive. It reminds us Muslims that the luxuries of this world will not go with us. Everything will stay. It is believed by Muslims that only there are only 2 things that will go with you in your grave and those two things are your good and bad deeds.
Photo #7 : A little Kitty that I found so beautiful. Animals in Mecca & specifically Madina are treated so kindly. Not even flies or mosquitoes are allowed to be killed.
Photo #8 : Hijabi’s feeding birds. Another example of animals being treated so kindly. There were so many birds everywhere and they wouldn’t fly away from humans in fact the opposite. It almost felt as if they knew that we wanted to take care of them.
Photo #9 : Rawdah al Sharifah which is believed to be a garden of paradise on earth. On the right side, it’s where the Prophet Mohammed was buried. All these Muslims are praying one of their voluntary prayers while getting ready to pray our obligatory morning prayer ; Fajr. This prayer must be prayed once the sun shows a white streak in the night sky.
Photo #10 : Al Masjid an Nabawi during the Muslims mandatory Friday prayer in congregation (Jummah Prayer). The Propeht’s [P.B.U.H.] fits over 1 million people but it gets so pact on Fridays that Muslims have to pray outside of the mosque.

good afternoon. I went to work with four hours of sleep. My baba and I have couscous each friday as the best Jummah Moroccan tradition requires. But today ain't friday but I came home to best couscous ever made anyway bc my baba is the king of couscous and he always makes it to make me feel better. Now I'm in bed ready for my nap reading all these beautiful articles on how potter is the best manager in the world. and the most caring. But don't worry I'm Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. had a rlly smart imam last Jummah i wish i had spoken to bc he too was a revert/convert and yet he knew perfect arabic (or what sounded to me like perfect arabic) and he deconstructed Al Fatiha down to its Arabic linguistic implications. he talked about how Allah’s titles in Al Fatiha in Arabic (which translated in English to the Compassionate and the Merciful) both have the same root which is shared by the Arabic word for “womb”, which is to say that the power to give birth (or the larger ability to foster life) is a worldly extension of Allah’s own mercy and compassion through us human beings. how beautiful is that. i imagined the happiness i get taking care of my nephews, and i imagined that being Allah’s compassion and mercy working through me/me picking up that work and sharing with my nephews. he just spoke with such a vigor and a curiosity it made me want to do more than just practice but to study the faith. he was so smart i wish so badly i had spoken to him but i was too shy.

Do you think you’ll wear hijab?X
i’ve gotten this question a couple times before and i’ve always stayed away from answering it bc i don’t want to open myself up to any shaming or judgement from others, and i also don’t want any of my beautiful hijabi friends to feel offended. so i just want to preface by saying that i think wearing hijab is a beautiful thing, it’s a massive commitment and everyone should have the right to wear or not wear hijab, and to choose that for themselves. that being said, i can’t see it being for me. i brought up yesterday that there are a couple things i can’t really commit to or a couple things i just struggle with generally and one of them is dressing modestly and wearing hijab. so much of my identity is in how i dress and my hair, and i feel like wearing hijab all the time and making that commitment, it would make me miserable and i’d probably feel very pushed away from islam. i have a really big problem with the toxic parts of modesty culture in general, (not that every hijabi or every muslim partakes or agrees with these aspects) (along with purity culture) and that means that while i think choosing modesty and choosing hijab is beautiful, i can’t see myself right now making that choice for me, bc it doesn’t empower ME. maybe one day i’ll feel differently and i’ll embrace wearing hijab and dressing modestly, but right now that doesn’t empower me and it would not make me happy. i think it’s a choice for every woman to make for herself and it’s between her and Allah. (and i have besties who are hijabis and i have besties who dress however they want and don’t wear hijab, but they still pray 5 times a day and go to jummah every week, so i don’t think not wearing hijab is the one true indicator on how good any muslim woman is) and i bring this up bc one of the things we’ve always talked about as friends is how we do feel beautiful with hijab on, we like wearing it to masjid etc, but that so much of some of our identities is tied into the way we dress, the way we do our hair, just our hair in general etc. so for right now and the foreseeable future, i can’t see myself wearing hijab. but it’s a beautiful commitment and choice, and maybe one day i’ll feel empowered in choosing that for myself. but if that isn’t for me, ever, then hopefully i can continue to better myself and grow in many other ways and aspects xx

PART THREE LES GOOOOO
once again, all of these are headcannons, nothing more. And so without further ado, I present you to: Muslim Hawks
Aka Hani, aka Hamza, aka Haider, aka Kashif,(for keigo) Aka Kamran
This man is nothing if not a smooth talker
Knows absolutely when to give chai to uncles and have a chat about politics and religion with them, and when to shut it off to complement blushing aunties on their lenghas
Absolute sucker for any chicken dish. I’m talking korma, karhai, butter chicken, chicken tikka, the likes and all.
Definitely can cook from all the food he inhales, but you’d have to coax him into cooking for you. Instead of Dabi’s way of refusing to cook, which is usually “that’s a women’s job”, he uses his smooth words to tell you to “show me how to do it, I doubt i could make it as good as you”
Puts the gaslight in girlboss.
Even kids love him. When he’s at a dawat or an iftaar, children are swarming him and begging to be picked up. He surprisingly likes the sound of their squeals of joy as he spins them around, and it doesn’t hurt that cute girls clad in dupattas are witnessing how good he is with kids-they never leave his presence without giggling from his notorious winks
Loves wearing subtle gold in his clothes and earrings, which gets him in trouble occasionally
He’s known for wearing some of the drippiest clothes on eid and chaand raat, or on any dinner parties. People almost eagerly look for Dabi and his counterpart to see how they’re matching this time around-Hawks with his white and gold kurta and Dabi with his black and blue kameez
Somehow weasles his way out of every chore instructed at him, whether it’s helping in cleaning up an after-party, or shoveling food into little containers for the guests take home, or if it’s helping the masjid members carry chairs away. He’s using his silver tongue to distract his friends and act like he’s helping them, but in reality he’s got a toothpick between his pearly whites and an arm lazily draped over the poor schmuck’s shoulders.
He’s that one desi dude who can actually talk to girls and not make them uncomfortable. Sure, he might fluster a few of them (as he should, in his opinion), but he ultimately actually likes having good conversation with them and discussing modern day life without it being this whole weird thing…at least in front of them, that is. No one said he wasn’t going to go back and rate them all in front of Tomura and Dabi. But he truly enjoys talking to them otherwise!!😀
Drinks chai, non fucking stop. Or tea, like the Turkish kind. His teeth somehow manage to stay white through his addiction, the lucky bastard
Definitely a lightskin kind of brown dude. He’s got thousands of followers, looks like a model, has models following him…but he’s kind of like a Muslim influencer.
100% has done photoshoots endorsing Muslim brands, like shirts (or his favorite, jewelry)
Is known to go to those big galas that host different Muslim charities. Somehow donated a couple K each time he goes
His family (or just him) hosts some of the best kind of dinner parties. This boy is loaded, the doctor kind of rich, so his mansion is always brimming with guests and food
Has rumors that he’s not a virgin, but people like him too much to actually slander his name(except maybe the guys who are jealous of him)
Is the type of annoying fucker who will not.shut.up.about those videos on tiktok with people saying “can’t wait to have this one day🥺” and it’s a video of a Muslim couple waking each other up for fajr. He likes to talk a lot, but at the end of the day he’s still following half naked models
Does not ask your baba for his number. Your baba asks HIM for his number
He’s also known for being a great Sunday School teacher, or volunteer. He always has little candies to pass out for kids who get the answers right, and he’s super patient and gentle with kids who struggle with fiqh or recitation of the Quran
^^^this doesn’t mean he doesn’t go to his boys afterwards and groans about how stupid kids are. Remember, the ladies are watching him!!
Always smells nice, like sandalwood and cinnamon. Maybe old spice too
As one anon stated, he’s also been caught at shisha lounges and playing pool with with guys
When we he leads jummah, you can hear a pin drop silence because his qirat is so beautiful. Like he deadass has the voice of an angel

*_🌟Alhamdulillah it's a blessed day today.. It's Yaum-ul-Aashoora and Yaum-ul-Jummah🌟_*
*🎊Don't forget to grab in the blessings of this beautiful day. Don't let the works of duniya, let the blessed day just pass by. Make the most of it and cherish the blessings🎊*
*💜Indulge in Dhikr especially your Morning & Evening Adhkaar. Make sure you do it with consistency💜*
*💜Send loads of salawat on our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)💜*
*💜Read Surah Al-Kahf & ponder upon its meaning💜*
*💜Abide to all the Friday Sunnahs💜*
*💜Seek sincere forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa taala💜*
*💜Make loadssss of Dua'a💜*
*🍀Anas ibn Malik (Allah be pleased with him) relates that if any distress befell the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), he would say: _"Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, bi-Rahmatika astagheeth (‘O Living, O Sustaining, in Your Mercy I seek relief!’)".🍀_*
[Related by Tirmidhi, Sunan (3600)]
*💙As human beings we must be prepared to face tests every day in different ways. Distress is what surrounds us in different walks of life. Make it a habit to call upon Allah Subhanahu wa taala by reciting this often.💙*
*🌸Allah Subhanahu wa taala is Al-Fattah (the opener). He opened unexpected ways for all the prophets based on their complete Yaqeen and Tawakkul in Him. He will soooon open ways for you too InShaAllah. Just trust Him the way He is supposed to be trusted.🌸*
*✨Allah Subhanahu wa taala mentions a few tests in Surah Al-Kahf. And it is a weekly reminder and is filled with loads of lessons for all of us.✨*
*_♥️Sometimes we are tested with being strangers for practicing our faith; like the people of the cave.♥️_*
*_♥️Sometimes we are tested with wealth and success; like the men of the two gardens♥️_*
*_♥️Sometimes we are tested with calamities that we don't understand are for a good; like the people in the story of Musa(AS) and Khidr(AS)♥️_*
*_♥️And sometimes we are tested with power and authority; like Dhul Qarnain♥️_*
*🌼Whatever the test is, focus on the goal: the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa taala, eternal paradise and work towards it. Don't let any test hamper your growth towards your goal. Build on and keep moving forward with consistency and determination.🌼*
*♥️🤲🏻May Allah Subhanahu wa taala help us remain firm and strong during our tests in life, may our tongues be moist with Dhikr and may the Tawakkul in our hearts increase with each passing moment.. May Allah help us build an unbreakable, superrrr strong connection with Him and May He keep showering His choicest blessings with infinite mercy upon us all.. May Allah bless you, your families and the entire Ummah with good health, peace, goodness, prosperity and happiness with Aafiyat, Khair & Barakah, May all our duas be answered on this beautiful day & May we all have a blessed day..Aameeen Ya Rabbul Aalameen🤲🏻♥️*

The Way of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (may Allah sanctify his secret.)
Today is both the holy day of Jummah and the Urs of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. Many days have passed. As they pass, our meeting of these holy beings becomes closer. Nobody is going to stay in this world. It is important that a person’s goodness stays and people get benefit from him. Allah ﷻ sent all Prophets ‘alayhimu s-salam as a benefit to people. Then He sent their Sahabah and Awliya’uLlah who believe in them. All of them are for the benefit of mankind. They wanted benefit and goodness to mankind; they did not wish badness to them. However, despite that, people showed oppression and badness to them. As it is the order of Allah ﷻ, the way of Allah ﷻ, they treated badness with goodness. Goodness is always useful. Badness is always harmful; no benefit comes out of badness. People claim that they are smart and do completely the opposite. Why do they do so? Because shaytan is cheating people and then the ego is cheating them. They don’t accept goodness. Ego doesn’t want goodness but you have to educate it. The Prophets, Sahabah and Awliya are teaching this duty to people so that people educate their egos and become good. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim lived all his life based on this. And after his passing away, many people who have never met him are reaching guidance through him as a Karāmāh (miracle) by seeing him in a dream. People who are out of Islam are becoming Muslim and the so-called Muslims who don’t know about Islam are reaching guidance. May Allah ﷻ increase his Maqam. May we all walk on his beautiful way. Tariqa is the way. The way is going to our Holy Prophet ﷺ and from our Holy Prophet ﷺ to Allah ﷻ. It is the straight way without crookedness. May Allah ﷻ give strength to us and to our Iman. May we gain their pleasure insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha. -Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil Ar Rabbani (may Allah sanctify his secret.)

As we approach the final remaining nights of Ramadan, regardless if your beginning may have been sorrowful, may the ending of it be blissful and beneficial ‎إن شاء الله
The richness of Allah’s ‎ﷻ mercy is far greater than your sins. Do not lose sight of that.
"The one who lags behind in the beginning of Ramadan but does well towards its end is better than the one who does well in its beginning but lags behind towards its end. It is mentioned in the hadith, 'Indeed, the [results of] deeds depend upon their endings.'
The last ten nights of Ramadān are better than the twenty before them combined, let alone other nights [of the year]. Every righteous deed that is great is even greater in these ten nights, and a few deeds therein are a lot in the scale."
— Shaykh Abdul Aziz at-Tarefe
Have a blessed Jummah 🌹

approximately 40 people were killed today.
many injured.
at two different mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, a white supremacist opened fire on innocent civilians praying.
it’s Friday. Jummah. a holy day.
this is a terrorist attack.
I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand.
I’m Muslim.
my parents migrated here before I was born and gave my siblings and I a beautiful life.
the NZ I grew up in is peaceful and the people of NZ are kind, compassionate, tolerant, hard working and most are liberal people.
we’re not a perfect country but these values are important to us and we manifest them in our everyday lives.
I’m proud to be a Kiwi. always will be.
it’s become normal to hear about terror crimes happening in the US and till now we’d always say ‘we’re so far away, something like that would never happen here’.
today it did and we’re scared.
we’ve been shaken to our core.
we don’t know what to say because this is the first time since 1990 that a mass shooting has taken place in NZ.
I really hope that mass shootings don’t become a recurring occurrence here and I pray to God that the perpetrator and anyone else potentially involved doesn’t get to use the ‘mentally ill’ card.
the support that has poured in from abroad is overwhelming but i for one, don’t want thoughts and prayers. I want action and I hope our govt gives us satisfactory justice.
from what ive seen on the news, the first responders were prompt and did their best to handle the situation.
for a country that isn’t at all used to events like this, I think we’ve handled it pretty well so far.
we’re a small country but we’re strong. we’ll pull thru. we always do.
if you’ve lost someone today, I’m so sorry.
if someone you know has been injured, I’m so sorry.
if you still don’t know where your loved ones are, I’m so sorry.
I know sorry isn’t enough but we are with you.
to the ones who’ve left us forever: you’ll not have died in vain.
to the one(s) that carried out this heinous crime: go to hell.
linked is a website to donate
even the smallest amount will help.
love and prayers

Central Synagogue, a historic New York congregation, opened its doors to the congregants of a nearby mosque after damage from a recent fire in their building prevented them from holding Friday prayers. Friday is the holiest day in the Muslim week, and Muslims traditionally gather for prayer in the early afternoon, called Jummah.
Central’s act of hospitality comes one week after a massacre of Muslims at two mosques in New Zealand. In the wake of the attack, Jewish communities around the world visited local mosques in acts of solidarity, forming welcome lines and holding supportive signs.
The mosque, the Islamic Society of Mid-Manhattan, was temporarily closed two days ago after a fire started in a restaurant occupying the first floor of its building. FDNY officials told local media that the mosque was not damaged in the fire. The mosque is just one block east of Central Synagogue in midtown Manhattan.
On Friday afternoon, the imam of the mosque had been hoping that the fire department’s investigation of the building would be done in time for Jummah. Outside the mosque, several members of Central Synagogue had already gathered to welcome them in, as they had done last Friday.
When it became clear that the growing crowd of congregants waiting to go inside would likely be turned away, the Central members invited them to the synagogue, according to Rabbi Stephanie Kolin, a rabbi at Central.
Over the next several minutes, over 600 Muslims walked a block east to Central, and filed into the synagogue’s indoor pavilion, leaving their shoes in the hallway. A facilities manager at Central located a hand-washing station for the Muslim congregants, since hand-washing is a part of Jummah prayers. Kolin said that the entire space was filled with supplicants.
“It was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen in my life,” she said, adding that many people in the room were in tears in response to the religious solidarity on display in the moment.
Kolin said that the Islamic Society’s imam spoke about how he had had a plan for how to conduct that day’s prayers, marking one week since the New Zealand massacre. But, he said, “Allah had a better plan.”
In a sermon, the imam called the prayers “one of the most blessed moments of my life in New York.” He told the attendees that this was a moment they would talk about with their children and grandchildren. He said the moment showed that “light can come out of darkness.”...
Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, the leader of Central, posted on Facebook that the moment was one of her community’s holiest moments.
There have been many other instances of Jewish-Muslim solidarity. In 2017, a synagogue in Victoria, Texas, gave a local Muslim congregation the keys to their building after their mosque burned down in a fire. Also in 2017, a Jewish community in Florida helped fundraise to rebuild a mosque damaged in a hate-fueled arson attack.
Kolin said that having the Islamic Society pray in Central was deeply powerful.
“I feel like I’m still integrating it,” she said. “I’m still a little shaking from the spiritual power of what happened.”
Kolin said she spoke at the end of prayers at the invite of the Islamic Society’s leader, and spoke about how the attack on the mosques in New Zealand and the attack on the synagogue in Pittsburgh are part and parcel of the same violent ideology.
“These attacks on our communities are one and the same,” she said. Kolin’s words at Central were met with a round of applause from the Muslim guests.

📷 _ One week ago, standing in front of Bayt Allah (the House of God), on the holiest day of the week... SubhanAllah. 🕋 To be able to offer my prayers, including Jummah salah, in Masjid al Haram was one of the best and most humbling experiences of my life. Muslims around the world grow up learning about the holy Ka'aba, the first house of worship built by Prophets Abraham and Ishmael. And each day, 5 times a day, we offer prayers facing this holy site in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. So to find myself in the vicinity of the Ka'aba, making tawaf around it, and touching its beautiful black cloth filled me with so much awe and so much emotion. The energy of Mecca is palpable - there is a certain rush you experience knowing you are walking in the footsteps of so many beloved Prophets, peace be upon them all. What an honor, and what a blessing. Alhamdulillah. Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day 💛 write by: @draishasindhu _ ﮩ•┈••✾•◆❀◆•✾••┈•┈┈••✾•◆❀◆•✾••┈┈ﮩ #mumbai _ ٱللَّـﮬـُمَّ صـَلِّ وَسَلِّـم وَبَارِك ْ؏َـلَے سَيِّدِنَـا مُحَمـَّدْ 💚 _ - - From Instagram
