jason todd who fucks you harder when you try to refrain from making any little sound, any lewd facial expression, any telling that he’s got you practically soaking his cock with your arousal. you might try to hold back from letting him know just how well he’s fucking you, but your eyes always tell. they get glazed over and half-lidded with blown out pupils. god, there’s nothing he adores more than seeing them widen, seeing tears well up in your waterline after a particularly well placed thrust.
he’ll cage you in between his arms and look deep into those pretty eyes with a smug smirk plastered on his face, give you no where to look but at him. he’s got your body shuddering with every thrust, hands desperately grasping anywhere but him to find reprieve, but that plan inevitably falters. arms wound around his shoulders, body bucking upwards with every punctuated thrust, jason finally manages to break you. he’s got you damn near screaming on his cock in a matter of no time, and he couldn’t be more pleased with himself.

was gonna make a joke about this and have this be a shitpost instead but honestly may pass out soon so I'll type this seriously cause I have no energy to come up with a clever joke
it's interesting how vox's insults in stayed gone are literally just different ways of saying "you're old and outdated you're old and outdated you're old and outdated you're old and outda" tackled with a bit of "you're a coward" in there, whereas alastor's insults are not jabs at vox being new or modern tech, but rather his practices, "clout-chasing mediocre video podcast" he's saying he's a pandering, attention-seeking sellout, and he targets at vox's insecurities, questions his power, then makes fun of him for still being salty about his rejection.
I feel like it's pretty telling how vox's insults are just SO shallow, while alastor's cut deeper and more personally. while you could say, alastor may be just better at roasting than vox, I feel like it could also tell you something about alastor's hatred of vox being based on actual reason, which makes sense, he is the one who rejected the idea of being on a team with vox, the one who decided to make the decision to step away from their friendship. there were likely legitimate things about vox that alastor started to notice he didn't like.
whereas vox's hatred is extremely petty, he's still pissy over that rejection, he has no reasonable reason to hate on alastor's practices or medium. literally ALL he has is constantly repeating how tv is better and newer and how radio is worse and older, that he literally uses that SAME snap back even after alastor has his part "what a dated voice!" "you're looking at the future! he's the shit that comes before that!". he has NOTHING on alastor. if you asked him to make a list about what he hated about alastor he would probably just give you 10000 synonyms of "he's old and outdated" and be unable to come up with anything non-superficial. because the falling out on his part, from his perspective, was being rejected. and after that, BLIND RAGE. he hates alastor. he does. but he can't reasonably tell you why.

The canary statement in the first episode of TMAGP really reminds me of the role that the angler fish episode played in TMA. The angler fish served as the first warning and was in it of itself descriptive of its role; the statement was the lure, and the trap. It was its own warning of what was to come. The canary statement reminds me of the saying "canary in a coal mine" from when miners would bring canararies down into the mines to warn them of when oxygen became too low. The bird would run out of oxygen and stop singing, likely dying. Red Canary went underground and "sang" about what they found until it killed/injured them. They are the first warning and died as a sort of warning to others- to get above ground, to get away while it was still possible. Both statements are a warning and a descriptor of what's to come.

Lester is a type of dude who would spawn near you with the most unhinged but low key fascinating and too detailed facts about specific topics (cows, trees, shiny rocks, CRABS and seahorses; and human body at some point; boats and how they are built, the mechanics of them, library of alexandria) when not sleeping for an unhealthy amount of time.
Meg would be so done with him after some time and then just let him say shit.
Artemis is so used to her brother just saying shit like "the male seahorses are the ones who get pregnant" so she just nods along

I was turning my favorite jiuyuan trope (which is older SY with no system if you're curious) around in my head for my own enrichment, and I think I finally know why I like it so much.
(I ramble ↓)
Shen Jiu will never get out of the narrative unscathed. That's just not possible. He's too brash and sharp for the world that punishes that sort of behavior. The strong will suffer and will be forced to persevere. To become Shen Qingqiu, Shen Jiu will suffer no matter what. That's the rule of the world and PIDW.
So to have SY, who is an anomaly in the world and doesn't play according to PIWD's rules, come in as a player it means that the narrative doesn't touch him much. It can't since his mind hasn't been molded to fit PIWD's rules. He escapes wifeplots, dodges characters he recognizes, and avoids sects.
Be it that the system doesn't touch him or simply discarded him as soon as he came in, either way he'll not touch the narrative. So everything he does is because he wants to.
So SY being much older means he's aware of all the rules and can ultimately become a neutral party. Sects don't mean much to him. Rich nobles can't touch an man that lives under no laws. And laws are useless to someone who lives outside of their jurisdiction.
If he meets SJ, SY's habit of helping injured birds will come in. Especially if he doesn't realize SJ will be SQQ. The Qiu name means nothing to him. And Wu Yanzi is just a name to be forgotten about among the sea of names he had heard in his lifetime. Shen Yuan has no reason to judge Shen Jiu.
SY will try to help SJ to the best of his abilities, picking up any pieces SJ can't find and handing them to SJ. But he will not overstep. He lets SJ attempt to fix what is broken; he won't baby SJ. He treats SJ with respect and only helps when it's absolutely necessary.
SY helps SJ he does not try to fix SJ.
Shen Yuan knows Shen Jiu isn't a charity case and doesn't even entertain the idea of this brash and sharp kid being a helpless creature. He simply gives the injured bird a splint to fix its wing. He doesn't stop it from hunting or scavenging for food. He only helps when Shen Jiu asks for it.
Shen Yuan plans to leave the bird once it's healed (no need to overstay your welcome y'know?). At that point Shen Jiu refuses to leave. Adults and men alike have let SJ down, tried to baby him, or hurt him. So to have someone older than him not only be a man, respect him, care for him, and even aid him of course he'd become attached.
Shen Jiu is attached and proclaims that he will make Shen Yuan his. (Shen Yuan is shocked and confused, but when is he not?)
I just love prickly and sharp characters realizing that they can soften up towards one person because they won't be punished for it. Even more so if they become stupidly attracted to that person. ❤️
Also I love it when one person is somewhat put together so they can help someone else, who is doing much worse, put themselves back together. ❤️❤️
Also old man Shen Yuan is iconic. ❤️❤️❤️

I feel like we as fans are too invested in making Buddie happen (me too) that we aren’t taking the consideration of HOW it should happen. People are doubling down now in light of bi!Buck which, you know, great. BUT I don’t think we need to rush it.
“It’s been a thing for 6 years!” Yes it has. The tension and the chemistry. But Buck is only NOW out, and as far as everyone is concerned, Eddie is still in the closet. You can’t rush that development.
PLUS: consider how incredible an entire arc of them yearning would be. Let’s say the back half of season 8. Buck likes Eddie, Eddie likes Buck. They both sort of KNOW that the other likes them, they both sort of KNOW that neither of them would object to be backed into a wall and kissed, but neither of them do it because they don’t want to change the relationship. Their very real friendship would have to navigate the struggles of being in love and we would see how that changes and even see how it affects Christopher. He’s going to be what, 14/15? He’s not blind. He’ll notice the way his parents change around each other.
We have to want the quality, not just the quantity.

I just realized that earlier in tma Jon asked Martin to run away with him and Martin refused, but at the end of s5 Martin is the one who wants to basically run away (banishing the fears and letting them finally live happily) but this time it's Jon who refuses and repeats the exact same thing Martin did, sacrificing himself for a 'better' cause - the thing jon has been trying to convince martin he was wrong about since s4, they're stuck in a loop of thinking they're not worthy enough to deserve the other and now I WANT TO CRY

49! Kim Dokja likely doesn't have the memories of his past life before the scenarios. Or at least, most of it. Seeing how he doesn't remember Christmas, doesn't remember his dislike for tomatoes, and knowing how he's the fraction of himself Kim Dokja thought his companions loved (And he was that, but he wasn't the only part,) Kim Dokja probably tried to remove the traces of the trauma he experienced from 49! Kim Dokja. Like how he killed his father, how he was abused by his relatives, being bombarded by reporters, ending up in a third-rate university, being sent to the frontlines, eking out a living in a no-name game company while eating store-bought food everyday alone and living on through consuming and devouring the tragedies, misery, and suffering of one single man. Because, how could his companions ever love that part of him? Instead, he left those memories to 51! Kim Dokja, so that he could understand the weight of his responsibility and guilt. To make himself understand how he must atone for the creation of this world and its suffering. (ORV, the story, starts with reminding the reader of this Kim Dokja - the reader, the pathetic and lonely man with a common story of misfortune. Of the part of himself that he didn't think that anybody could love and at the end of the story, it tells him this; This story is just for you. 'Why?' The story's chapters, made up from paragraphs of sentences born from words that were carefully built by each painstaking letter, whispers - because we love you.)

Realizing one of the biggest reasons I fell deeply for The Mechanisms and it's fandom is the consistent reiteration of the importance of stories. Something I find very important but troublesome to articulate is how necessary a story can be- whether or not the story is true, or even a good story. Stories are stories, they all hold a certain... weight, a meaning. Even the sad ones, the silly ones, the soft ones, the shit ones. The ones that stick with you though, they matter the most, and everyone has their own stories that they hold dear, about themselves, about loved ones, about strangers and fictional characters. They just! They all matter! Even if The Mechanisms themselves only tell tragedies, as by word "there's others, we just don't tell them because they're boring," then that simply means it's the tragedies that stick with them! But they're story tellers, story weavers, skalds and poets and bards!!! I just.... I try to explain how important stories are to me and to humanity as a whole, and I think The Mechanisms is just fueling my favorite hill to die on. Every story matters, and we all cling to our favorites. What are we without them?

I rewatched some sanders sides episodes, and noticed how Thomas is slowly losing his temper more and more throughout the series and I don’t think it was just coincidence they did that-
In SVS part 1, he gets frustrated with Patton because he himself feels lost, and Patton starts to agree with Janus. (Hence why Patton immediately flipped and decides he’d continue to defend Thomas despite not knowing what he’s doing.)
In DWIT, he’s upset because he got no sleep and is now dealing with the mess that is Remus on top of juggling Patton and Virgil who will not shut up about how “evil” his thoughts were. (Anyone would be frustrated at this tbh, I know I would.)
In SVS Redux (or SVS part 2), his anger hits its peak and he’s throwing around “F bombs” and getting frustrated at Patton throughout their whole discussion. It isn’t until Patton becomes Lilypadton that he pulls back a little.
In WTIT, Thomas has small outbursts with Logan because of his fear and intrusive thoughts (thanks Remus-), and eventually gets so angry at Nico not replying that it relays into Logan, causing Logan’s “orange blow up”.
He’s just showing more and more signs of fear and anger and I think it’s on purpose. I have thoughts-

Another sleepy soup brain rant about possible au prompts I hope you guys enjoy and sorry in advance for any spelling/grammar errors.
--------------------------------------
I think you guys can tell my favorite thing is twin aus. I absolutely live for the found family trope and I love a good reuniting story. Usually these aus are written with Danny and Damian being close as kids and when they reunite it highlights just how inseparable they were, but what if that wasn't rey the case?
Growing up in the league is super competitive and it's kill or be killed. Look at when Damian tried to kill Tim it wasn't a he hated him thing it was more of a "I have to prove myself" thing. They were raised in a way where only the strongest get positive reinforcement.
So it stands to reason these twins constantly has to fight against eachother for Ra's praise and eventually that leads to an all out fight for the right to be the League's heir.
Needless to say Damian and Danyal saw eachother as nothing but obstacles to overcome. They would constantly belittle eachother in an attempt to lower the other's moral and get into fights. The day the duel for heirship happened they were both prepared to take the other's life. It just so happened Damian was the stronger twin and came out on top. He had no regrets and shed no tears for Danyal. He was simply too weak for the league. Damian had always known that fact.
So clockwork interjects since Phantom plays a very important role in keeping the timeline on it's optimal path. He uses the pits to revive Danny and drops him off in Illinois to be adopted by the Fenton's.
With hazy memories and a competitive instincts he at first gets in a lot of fights with Jazz and feels he has to prove himself in order to gain his parents love. He's slow but surely proven wrong tho and unlearns what the league had ingrained in him. Eventually he grows up to be the kind and caring kid we know and love.
Damian gains the same progress he does cannonically. He has a cold exterior but a soft interior. He is warm and kind even with the demon reputation. As he grows and gets in a healthier headspace/environment he grows to regret how he had treated Danyal though he would never tell a soul or admit it he regrets having his twins blood on his hands.
Danny from what he can remember hates how mean he was to his twin and wishes he had a chance to rekindle their relationship and be kinder to him.
Eventually Danny becomes Phantom and that wish gets granted when he's on the run from his parents. He ends up in Gotham and gets into trouble which eventually leads to Damian running into him as Robin.
Damian immediately assumes this is another plan the league has to kill him or his family so he attacks Danny and demands to know if the league sent him. He knows Danyal is very cut throat and cold after all he's not risking it with his evil twin/possible clone of his twin.
Needless to say he's speechless when the terrified Danyal apologizes profusely and has no idea what the heck he's talking about. This kid acts nothing like his brother. Did he make a mistake? Nope this kid admits he vaguely remembers the league and him but has no connection to them now.
He keeps his guard up but everything about this Danyal is throwing him for a loop. The only mean words he says about him are done in a light hearted sarcastic way. He apologizes for how mean he was as a kid. He's meek and anxious absolutely the opposite of the bold and confident Danyal he had known.
Bruce is insanely surprised to find out he has another son that's supposed to be dead but surprisingly isn't. He opens his home to Danny tho cautiously but still kindly and warmly. It's insanely surprisingly to the family that this kid is a polar opposite of Damian.
Damian is cold towards Danny at first and it takes awhile for him to warm up even then he says some pretty cruel things out of habit. Danny is pretty forgiving and feels he deserves it for how awful he was so he rolls with the punches.
Due to the distrust between the twins it takes a lot of time for Danny to finally open up about being half ghost and running from his previous parents whom want to experiment on him and dissect him molecule by molecule. Damian is the first to learn this after making some big strides in treating Danyal kinder and learning to trust him.
Eventually we get to a level where they are protective of eachother and are very close but it takes a hot minute and the path to this point is very rocky.
