Hear me out, flying type hybrid darling using their wings to hug their partner.

Like 'preening' their partner's hair and hiding their feathers in their partner's clothes; chirping / hooting happily when their partner come back home with hands full of their feathers like a silly game

(Can be anyone you like I just cant get this thought out my head haha)

Now I am absolutely obsessed with shipping Larry with monster reader. And when I saw Harpy reader I dived for it aaa.

The characters I will do is Larry, Warden Ingo, Leon,

Various characters (pokemon) reaction to their beloved as a flying type hybrid harpy.

Larry

You just showed up one night scratching in his back door with your sharp claws. You were looking for nesting material the day before you never asked a human for some this human seemed shocked But ultimately gave you some cloth it was strong yet soft and smelled nice. This human was nice : )

As a flying-type trainer, he knows some of the mannerisms you have. He thinks it's cute when you preen his hair or make a small nest out of his clothes because you missed him. Sometimes, he would show you how humans court and then do the same thing to you

And his coworkers and boss are none the wiser when he starts finding feathers in his suit all day. They just assumed that he had a new flying type Pokemon and not a hybrid birb spouse. Even so, coming to work covered in feathers isn't professional, but he can't bring himself to tell you to stop. He knows you're doing this out of love for him. Maybe Larry will ask you if he could wear one feather and put it in his pocket.

Your feathers are just so soft when you wrap your wings around him. He can't help but cuddle into you and fall asleep. He can feel your nails thread through his hair, mimicking the way he touches you.

Before stepping into his house, he could hear the excited tapping of your feet as you do your happy dance. The little bird hops with your feathers all fluffed before yelling his name and throwing feathers all over the place. His home life has never been this exciting, and he can't help but smile.

Warden Ingo

You struggle the flap of your wings, kicking up the snow on the ground. The Searing pain in your left wing and arm is almost overwhelming. Your energy is slowly draining as your body struggles to keep warm. Your feathery down kept you from freezing for a while, but how long will that last? Has the wind begun to pick up? You hold your broken arm close to your chest, trying to keep in your subs of pain as you huddle your wings closer together, desperate to cling to any ounce of warmth; your vision blurs and your brain tells your body to conserve energy. The only thing you saw when you began to blackout was a man in a long coat approaching.

You were protective of the man who saved your life—wrapping your wings around him not only for affection but also for protection. For some reason, this human was drawn to you. Your beautiful white wings and Feathers jogging his memory of something, though not enough to figure out why.

Every time his Warden duties called, he would leave his cabin even though he had sworn he would go you home somehow, always following him, stalking him in the distance until he was alone. Then, you would appear either from a high ledge of a cliff or a dark cave to brush yourself up against him, cooing for his affection.

Every time he falls asleep, he wakes up to his jacket being stolen and wrapped around you, not that he Minds that you wear it, though he has to tell you to be careful; those sharp talons of yours could easily rip a new hole.

The Striking eyes of his remind you of a Braviary hybrid. You can't help but Preen his hair and put some of your feathers in it. You coo in Delight of how handsome he is. Cuddling close to him and playing and tugging on his clothes.

Leon

Wherever he was, this was definitely not the Pokemon Center. In fact, this wasn't a town at all. He didn't even know how he got so high up in the mountains. Leon swore he was following a path. As he continued to wander, getting himself more and more lost, it wasn't before long that the sun began to set. Still, he took this challenge with a smile despite being low on supplies. He was in the wilderness. They're sure to be some berries somewhere. However, before the sun dipped below the horizon, he saw a blur Bolt from the tree to the dense foliage. It was like lightning, but he could have sworn he saw feathers. The figure was a human shape, a hybrid, perhaps? It stood at a distance where he could barely see it. It stood there tilting its head almost as if it wanted him to follow. As he followed the creature until they were nowhere in sight, that's when he realized he was back on the path.

Almost every encounter with you was by pure chance. You don't even know how he does it; a dumb human gets lost, and then you guide him back suddenly. A month later, he's back?! What the heck?? What is this human's deal!? is he trying to get himself killed?!

You only watch the human to make sure he doesn't get himself killed, not because you think the human is attractive. And you absolutely didn't swoon when you saw that he was wearing the feather you dropped as a necklace.

But unbeknownst to you Leon wasn't just adventuring for adventuring sake he was looking for you. Oh yes the mysterious hybrid that led him back to the path on that night he met you. Hybrids are already so rare, and when you caught his eye, he couldn't help but relive the memory. He not only wanted to meet you, but he wanted to get to know you to understand you. And you were just as infatuated with him as he was with you.

Even though you're instincts told you to court him as a potential mate, you knew that as a human, he couldn't be trusted, but somehow, Leon knew that , he knew that you were wary of him. He didn't blame you. How could he? Thus begins the slow build of trust and your relationship

I always forget if its you or birb who write shifters au but at this point you two are just one lump of ideas so I don't think it matters that much who I send this idea to 😅

Anyway, I have a cat and he's just a few months old and pretty small. But he really likes to "hunt" and find stuff that he bring to me. And he often finds the big stuff, like a pillow twice the size of him or a blanket that he somehow manages to drag to me. That gave me an idea for shifters au about when Lando wants to cuddle up somewhere nice with someone, he brings a blanket and puts it down by the persons feet as to say "let's cuddle".

Just an idea I had haha

Honestly, I think @f1-birb and I have blended into one, and I'm here for it. We already share a brain (I'm not joking, we sent each other the same thoughts at the same time more than is normal) 😅

But you are right in that you could send it to either of us because Shifters is a joint au between my dear Birb and I!

I absolutely love this idea anon, and I just had to do this!

Pierre was watching Lando out of the corner of his eyes The little fox was wandering around their living room as if he was hunting for something. Every so often he would freeze, going completely still before bolted out of sight and all Pierre heard was a little unimpressed huff when Lando didn't mange to catch whatever it was that he was looking for. It made him chuckle whenever the little fox reappeared, growling softly to himself and patting a tiny paw at the ground in a small tantrum.

"Bebé, what are you doing?" Pierre grinned, and leaned forward.

Lando looked at him. His ear flicking a little as he gave Pierre what could only be judged as an exasperated look. He whined as he looked around once more before he seemed to spot something and dart off once more.

Pierre just shook his head and leaned back again. He checked the grid pack chat, firing off a response or two to some meme that Charles has sent into the group before he heard the little pitter patter of feet once more but slower this time.

It took a minute or two before Lando became visible and when he did, Pierre couldn't help but grin.

Lando, all thirteen inches of him, was dragging a blanket that was way to big for him but he seemed determined. He had to stop once or twice, adjusting his grip on it before starting again. He let out little huffs as he moved, almost scooting backwards to drag it to Pierre’s feet and as he dropped it, he grinned. All teeth on display and eyes shining with pride.

"Is that what you wanted? You wanted me to shift and cuddle you, bebé?", Pierre cooed, reaching down to scoop Lando up into his hold and getting excited little yip as he did, "Okay, okay, give me a second"

Lando licked at his chin before he wriggled out of his arms. He looked pointedly at the blanket which Pierre lifted onto the sofa before he moved away to shift.

Lando yipped once more. Little feet making tapping motions on the sofa until Pierre, in his fox form, hopped up. He licked Lando’s cheek before getting cosy on the blanket and leaving space for Lando to wriggle in against his side before he wrapped his tail around them both.

The sigh that the little fox let out this time was one of content as he snuggled in close, eyes already closing and ready to nap.

Jabara x GN Reader Prompt: I want to play a game... SFW HORROR - YANDERE THEMES BE WARNED Word count: 834

The tangy taste of copper flooded your senses as your eyes fluttered open, everything ached and your body was screaming at you as you groaned. Your vision was blurry as you blinked a few times and mumbled, sitting up as best as you could when everything was hurting, with your head throbbing.

As you slowly came to you noticed you were in a dark room, with cold concrete walls and floors, you heard the sound of metal dragging on the floor, a heaviness around your wrists. You saw thick shackles attached to your wrists and your eyes opened wide despite the headache that was screaming at you.

“W-where am I?” you asked the empty room, the candles attached to the wall flickered in response as you stood up.

The weight of the metal connecting your limbs to the wall stopped your exploration of your confined space. You felt sick to your stomach as the feel of bile rose and you started to panic. One minute you were outside, on your way back from the market and now you woke up here wherever here was.

A heavy thud brought you out of your panicked thoughts as your eyes darted to the door, the thick metal creaked, screaming and groaning and agitating your head to the point you thought you could black out from the searing pain, you brought your hand to your head, a desperate and pitiful attempt to help ease the agony.

“Glad to see you awake!” The man with long black hair dressed in a black suit said, a wicked grin on his face as he slammed the door shut, there was a sickening finality to the sound as it rattled the room.

“Where am I?” You repeated someone to hopefully answer you this time.

“Oh Babe, can’t tell you that now can I? Government stuff.” Jabara tapped his nose and gave you a wink, his wolf-like grin stretching and bearing his teeth.

“What does the government want with me?” You asked, you could have laughed you hadn’t so much as returned a book late, what did this guy, what did the world government want with someone like you?

“You didn’t do anything, it’s who ya know, who ya helped think real hard about it doll.” He said and walked towards you, his hands in his pockets as he looked you over.

You stared at him, confusion clear as day on your face as you watched him, you tried to think trying to puck at your poor hurting head to file through memories, what did he mean? The thinking process caused the ache to sting more than you thought possible.

“Can you just tell me?” You said with an exasperated sigh.

He laughed and walked closer to you, you didn’t see him remove his hands from his pockets before you felt his hand in your hair, gripping tight at the matted strands, blood caked in from where someone had hit you over the head. You cried out and hands moved to the one pulling at you, trying to make him stop.

“Now, now, now behave or I’ll really have to get rough, sweetheart.” He said, showing off his smirk and shaking you with the grasp on your hair before he knocked you over, you winced and landed painfully on the cold floor.

He crouched down and tilted his head to the side, once again looking wolfish, he was playing with you, you felt like his prey and had no idea why but that was the feeling that washed over you as you gasped, the fall having knocked the wind out of you.

“Since you hit your pretty little head maybe I do have to remind you what you did, do you remember those pirates you encountered?” Jabara asked, amusement in his tone when the flash of recollection crossed your face and he knew he had you now.

“So, you're going to tell me everything you know about them, where they’re headed, what they were doing on your island, and why, oh why, you were helping them.” Jabara pulled you to sit using the chain on your wrist and forced your chin up, holding it between his fingers as he stared into your teary eyes.

“Something tells me you ain’t going to tell me straight… well babe, that’s fine because I love games… and I never lose..” You whimpered when the grip on your face tightened.

You watched as he transformed, as he changed before your eyes from a man into a werewolf, he was a zoan you realized and that explained why you felt so small and weak before he’d even done anything, the wolf inside him gave off an aura before you’d witnessed the reveal.

“Right, I wanna play a game with you, for every wrong answer I’m going to make you scream.” He said with a chuckle “And for every right answer? Well, this is what I call a win-win situation, I’m gonna make you scream for me in another way….”

Ranthambore's safari was amazing tho definitely worth going there at least once (and more times in different seasons if you wanna see other migratory birds :D)

I'm the exact opposite where I can't seem to write longfic. Do you have any suggestions for someone looking to try her hand at one?

Ohh I'm so glad that you're excited by the idea! 😊 Honestly there is such a tragic dearth of Birb!Robin content that I feel compelled to remedy it myself haha. And I think the fairytale-ish angle has a lot of fun / cute potential!

As for suggestions on getting into writing long fic, I certainly wouldn't consider myself an expert by any stretch, but I can tell you what has worked for me!

Find an idea that you *love* that just won't let you go

This, really, is the biggest tip I have. Obviously it's going to vary some based on the efficiency of the writer and just HOW long of a long fic we're talking about, but you're going to be thinking about and working on this fic for a long time. If that work isn't something you are extremely excited about, it's very quickly going to start to feel like a drag and become challenging to see through. Again, I can only speak to my own experience here, but I have thought about my long fics in some capacity for at least a few hours every day for the last two years (and often much much more than that LOL). Definitely I have days where I am not in the mood to write or I am not in a great head space with the fic and need to take a step back. But when all is said and done, it's still a story I am excited to tell and involves scenarios I *want* to have an excuse to think about all the time, day after day. If you're that excited about the ideas, I think that alone will carry you far!

2. Ask yourself why you want to write a long fic

To elaborate: what is it that a long fic allows you to do that you feel as though you can't accomplish in a shorter fic instead? Extensive world building? A more intricate plot? The answer to this question should drive a lot of your story conceptualization process. Honestly for me the biggest draws of long fic are how it lends itself to slow-burn, extensive opportunities for agonizing pining, and the ability to portray much more gradual character growth. Those are three of the things I love most in the fics and novels I read *and* three things that I love to write about. Because those things are such big priorities for me, the way I formed and built my story ideas around them was already very naturally geared towards long fic--I didn't have to try to fit it into that mold at all!

3. Find a good beta reader

Easier said than done, I know, but I genuinely think a fresh set of eyes / a brain to pick when you're stuck makes a world of difference. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten myself into a deep rut with my long fics that I was convinced there was no way out of, or where I'd written a whole chapter draft that I thought was un-salvageable only for my beta reader to provide a very elegant solution / quickly pinpoint and direct me towards what wasn't working so that I wouldn't have to throw out the whole thing. One of the dangers with long fic is that you're working on it for so long that your sense of how things move and progress in the story and where they are going winds up being very divorced from the way readers experience it. Having someone else who can give you outside POV on what's working and what's not is invaluable during the drafting and revising process. Ideally that person would also have tastes that align well with your own and be someone who you can trust to be both honest and encouraging (even better if they know the characters of the world well and can give feedback from that angle too) but I do recognize perfect beta readers don't grow on trees. If not a full fledged beta reader, I think having a close friend or two who you can talk through the writers blocks or concerns with is helpful too!

4. Plan ahead but don't be afraid to change directions

Probably the most subjective piece of advice on here since I know different writers vary wildly with how much they like / need to plan ahead, but this is the combination that I've found has worked best for me. The reason being that if you don't do *some* more extensive idea generating and planning before hand I don't think it gives you anything to get hyped up about and look forward to. Having a big exciting moment in the story that you can't wait to write is a really good motivator, but unless you are very good at delayed gratification, brainstorming smaller moments along the way that are iddy and fun while still moving you closer to that big moment will be imperative for motivating yourself to stick it out long enough to get there. That being said, I don't think you have to feel locked into those early ideas either. Things are going to occur to you as you're writing that didn't during the planning stages. New ideas you like better, logistical bumps you didn't think to account for, the discovery that a character feels a different way about something than how you anticipated they would...there's a whole bunch of possibilities and all of them may wind up derailing your initial vision to varying degrees. And I think that's okay! Part of the writing process is re-discovering the world and characters from new angles...I honestly think it would be odd if that *didn't* impact the story's direction, at least a little! And generally I think those changes just tend to make the story even better in the end~

5. Let the fic be gratuitous and self-indulgent

Echoes of this are present in some of the previous pieces of advice, but I think it bears repeating as a separate (and final) point. Don't be afraid to pile on as many of your favorite tropes as you can!! Build your fic concept so that it includes lots of story beats and themes you're a sucker for every time. The more opportunities you find to load in things that you love, the more fun you'll have writing and thinking about the idea and the more likely it is that you'll both have an idea big enough to write a long fic for and that you'll be willing to stick it out and see it through to the end 💕
