Dying dying dying to know the full set of voicelines for Resplendent Grima but in the meantime I guess I will simply think about the two they previewed...
Tumblr media
The thing is, you know, Grima seems to bluffing again, because uh... "It is only natural the weak serve as kindling for the strong. Muspell's ideology aligns with my own." Grima my beloved that is NOT your ideology.
I mean, at first glance it's pretty similar to what Halloween m!Grima says...
Tumblr media
"Those without the will or power to resist can only be crushed underfoot. Such is the nature of the harvest." But... Grima is not saying that this is how things SHOULD be, only that this is how he views the world: as a horrible zero-sum game where those without power are crushed by those who have it.
Like, Muspell (the dragon) comes across as pretty straightforward and unironic in his callousness towards mortals and in his belief that it would be good for them all to just fight to the death. But no matter how many lines the various Grima alts have disparaging humans and talking about crushing them like worms, Grima also makes it clear that they do care. They care a lot and do not like that the world is the ruthless place they see it as.
We know Grima's REAL ideology, because legendary Grima presents it to us.
Tumblr media
"One person's satisfaction means another must suffer. That is the truth of all worlds. But my power of destruction is the one true equalizer."
The world that Muspell desires is in fact the one that Grima would put to an end. Grima HATES Muspell's ideology. Saying it "aligns" with his is only true in the sense that Grima believes that that harsh and depressing way of life is inescapable reality.
(Though... "If you think there's someone out there capable of leading the world with such high-minded ideas of love and bonds... I'd love to meet them." is very interesting in the context of the Kingdom of Muspell because... well, Laegjarn and Laevatein are in many ways quite similar to Emmeryn and Chrom, don't you think? And they are the ones who would be guiding the nation. Muspell the dragon says he "knows nothing" of the kingdom because "mortals are of no consequence" so... if Grima were to visit, it would be the royals he would see.)
But it does make me wonder if Grima is perhaps... a little envious of Muspell's perspective? Because saying that "a kingdom that consumes all with roaring flame" is "an ideal to strive for" suggests that... he's not there yet himself. That he's looking at the callousness of Muspell and Surtr and thinking that he needs to care less and destroy more...

Why does Grima have two bodies?
okay @ro-botany brought up the question and i think i have an answer.
The hand-wavey explanation is obviously "reincarnation bullshit" but we can get more precise than that. You're gonna have to suppose reincarnation theory with me cuz this doesn't work for possession theory i think but if you know me that's a given anyway.
Regardless. Part of dawn's spectacular reincarnation theory argument is a noted oddity in how future Robin was able to claim the Dragon's Table. bcuz, didn't they already do that in their own timeline? If the table contains Grima's soul, this Robin already has it. If they take what's sealed in the table now, they'd have two of those!
Unless, of course, everything inside the table isn't alive. Then they could claim it as often as they please! So what's in there? Grima's power?
Well, I say, Grima's corpse.
After all, we have precedent for dragons' bodies being sealed inside there, alive or not.
And, the future Robin has a demonstrated proficiency in controlling dead bodies.
If we suppose that the Grima in the table is dead, their soul went on to be reborn as Robin, we run into another fact. Robin isn't a manakete.
No matter if they have a dragon's soul or not, they are physically incapable of transforming. They are human, through and through. Yes, they have "Grima's blood" - in the exact same way Chrom has Naga's. It's likely a blood pact made with some human allied with Grima back during the Schism, same as any other draconic blood pacts throughout the series.
And, listen, Rogrima is such an overdramatic bastard, are they really gonna settle for bringing ruin to the world with a goddamn tome? No.
Yeah it's all assumptions, but it's not contradicting anything per canon, right, and how else do we have fun.
So, combining what I've laid out - everything sealed in the Dragon's Table is likely dead. Future Robin can take control of dead bodies.
Ergo, future Robin took control of their own past dead body, hence two of them.
TLDR: It's just one fuck-off huge Risen made of their own corpse that they now control like an additional limb.
Which would also explain why Chrom & co. only have to take out future Robin's human form. That's where the actual heart is, and without them, the dragon will just be a regular gigantic corpse again. Or even just crumble to dust (which is why we probably don't have one giant clean up action... thank goodness Grima was courteous enough to hold the final battle over the ocean.)

Today I was reminded that in Awakening, Validar gets revived by Grima in the game timeline. So like, does Validar get revived with a normal healthy body or is it some weird partial-risen stage? Does that mean that Grima can wholesale revive people and chooses zombies instead? It's just such a weird little detail that probably exists just for plot purposes, but it makes me wonder. Can't quite pin down what it is I feel for it to be true, but it has spawned Thoughts. Do you have any opinions?
Oooo, a very good question! I touched on Validar's condition very very briefly in a previous post about RKC and some possible reasons he exists, but to go into more detail... Largely behind a read more because Post Got Big(tm)...
Validar is a weird one. Within Awakening, he's the person who comes closest to getting a true and complete resurrection. And overall he's much more human-like in form and function than anyone else we've ever seen subjected to resurrection at Grima's hands.
But we know for a fact he isn't a Risen. He doesn't get the vocal distortion, speech difficulty, compulsion for violence, glowing eyes and general corpse-like appearance, or most other characteristics associated with Risen, which imo outright excludes him from the category.
BUT, critically, Grima is nowhere near full power at the moment they revive Validar. They're freshly weakened from time travel at that point! And given the apparent difficulty of any form of necromancy in FE, I'm hesitant to claim Grima could bring him back as fully human in their weakened state. It IS curious that they were able to get him that close, though.
There could be several reasons Validar's condition is even possible. It might have something to do with the blood pact; maybe it's just easier for Grima to resurrect people that have extremely close metaphysical connections to them. Or it might be that necromancy is something Grima is naturally talented at and they do objectively complex feats with it even when very weakened.
In either case, Grima—especially when at full strength—is capable of multiple tiers of resurrection, and very possibly even true revival into a fully human state. Risen appear to be on the easier end of the necromancy spectrum (Forneus managed to manually create some by himself, for one thing; and iirc one of Henry's supports has him conjure some Risen-like creatures accidentally?), and near-human deals like Validar are on the more challenging end. RKC is somewhere in between the two states.
The fact that Grima usually creates Risen instead of people when they're doing necromancy is, in my opinion, a conscious tactical decision. A monster that doesn't think for itself, and attacks people swiftly and indiscriminately, is a perfect tool if your aim is to spread chaos and destruction. Bringing back thinking people to be your soldiers may mean they can make more tactical decisions on their own, but it also comes with an amount of free will that may mean they fuck with your plans, especially if they weren't loyal to you to begin with. And besides, Grima already has the Grimleal to act as their commanders in the small scale. So it ultimately just isn't worth the extra effort to make their resurrected soldiers much more than violent automatons.
(Unless the soldier they're reviving is Chrom, of course. For him they will put in effort to preserve the soul. But notice how they don't make him anywhere close to human; which was absolutely on purpose, because we know based on Validar that they could've. I have FEELINGS about this.)
The decision to bring Validar back as close to human as he ended up being was also very tactical on their part. I can't imagine Grima likes the guy very much beyond liking how useful he makes himself. And they know exactly how critical his continued existence is to ensuring that the main timeline's Robin fulfills their destiny of becoming the fell dragon. They can't afford to let Validar die, nor can they get much use out of a garden variety Risen that looks like him, so as close to true resurrection as they can manage while running on fumes is what he gets.
---
As an aside, this aspect of Grima's powers always kinda makes me wonder about the time before they decided to raze the continent. When they were just around and being considered a god by the people of Plegia. Did they not do any necromancy in those days? Or were there circumstances that they DID use that power? Bring some human(s) back to life, either for some logical reason, or perhaps even as a favour granted to someone?
If they did I imagine that would've gotten them in shit with Naga, given the theories that powerful divine dragons are all capable of some form of necromancy but don't do it because it's deeply taboo...
But that's speculation outside of the scope of this post.

CLICK
The sound of a shutter going off before the sound of electricity sparking a hiss of pain reached Alastor's ears.
"OW! Fu-zzt-CK!!"
Alastor contorted his head to stare at the whining box-headed, grinning sharply as his eyes squinted in question. "Vox. What do you think you're doing, my dear friend?"
Spots of static filled his friend's screen where his cheeks would've been as he looked up at him in embarrassment, the video camera that was once in his hand clattered to the floor, forming a crack on its top.
Alastor melded into the shadows before popping out in front of Vox, smiling as he studied the scuffed camera in his hand. "You know this face was made for radio" He tuts, shaking his head. Before applying a bandage on the formed crack.
It didn't do anything to actually repair the silly thing. But Alastor found the thought humorous considering that the bandage did nothing for the wound.
Vox's shoulders slumped as the static spread in his cheeks, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. A nervous habit he formed in hell on top of easing the ache his large head makes on his neck. "I-I know... I'm sorry.... I just wanted to take a picture of you! You know, to remember the good times..." He said, his eyes refusing to meet his as Alastor considers his words.
"Now why would you want to do such a thing, pal?" He asks, giving Vox his silly camera back before he summoned his own cane, spinning it around in his hand before propping it on the floor as he leans and tilts his head. "It's not like these good times of ours would be so fleeting! There's no need to have such silly things lying about now, wouldn't it?"
He pinches Vox's cheeks at his words. Adoring the way his eyes land back on him as he smiles softly.
A small pout formed on his screen before he carefully pushes Alastor's hand aside, rolling his eyes after the camera disappeared with a sparkle of electricity. "You know that sometimes we're busy. We can't always schedule our regular hangouts together when you sometimes have another Overlord to overthrow or a deal to make while I'm making new technology to sell on top of my broadcasts"
"But we still make time"
His gaze falls down on the floor again as he firmly grips Alastor's hand, lips turning into a downward line. Mumbling something under his breath.
For once, Alastor blinked. "What was that?"
"I-... I just– .....i don't want to forget about you"
Ah.
So that's where the problem lies.
"My dear Vox, I doubt you'll ever forget about me. I'm quite remarkable after all!"
He felt Vox's hand guide his to rest on his cheek, feeling the ambient static he always felt when he touched Vox's screen.
He does nothing to stop it.
His cane disappearing as he has no reason to have it.
"You know I... forgot about a few things in my past life" Vox started off with, a buzz entering his tone as it did whenever he talked about his life when he was alive.
It was a sore topic. One Alastor deigned not to poke at.
Whilst Alastor went to Hell remembering all of his life and how he died, allowing him to quickly pull himself together to gather more power for himself, Vox had forgotten parts of his life. And in some cases, despite having died at a similar age as Alastor, acted more... child-like than what Alastor would've expected.
But from what Alastor had gathered, Vox was rather the norm instead of the exception.
Unlike him.
And really, he's not surprised when he knew why.
Alastor felt himself sighing as he looked into Vox's pleading eyes. "You're not going to drop this, are you?"
Finally, Vox cracked him a smile. "Depends... Did I convince you?"
"No. M-maybe..." Now it was Alastor's turn to look away as his voice cracked and his cheeks tinted red.
Vox laughed as he thrown his head back. Joyful giggling filling the air as Alastor stared at him in astonishment.
"Hahaha! Would you look at that! The Radio Demon himself is speechless!!" Vox snorts as he shook his head. Shoulders still shaking from his giggles as Alastor forces himself to grimace.
"I will rip you limb from limb if you don't stop now"
"I will! I will! Geez, I'm sorry you sourpuss" Vox leaned his head back, his hand combing through his antennas before they bounced off harmlessly.
A nervous habit he still retained when he was alive.
When he finally calmed down enough, he was beaming at Alastor with that bright smile of his. Eyes crinkling in delight as he held out his hand for him to take. "So... Are you up for a picture?"
Alastor scoffed, rolling his eyes away as his hand takes the offer. "I suppose so. There's no harm in it, after all"
If Alastor thought Vox couldn't become brighter, he was mistaken. As Vox looked over the moon as he held Alastor's hand. Pumping his other fist in the air in joy as he shouted. "YES!"
He smiled softly at the other's enthusiasm.
Perhaps having a picture taken wouldn't be so bad after all if he could see him like this all of the time.
Alastor set up a camera of his own. Nothing like the one Vox had attempted to use on him but rather one that was more classy and in style for the Radio Demon's taste.
"That camera looks so tacky" Vox comments, grimacing lightly before Alastor waved his hand.
"Nonesense! This camera is practically state-of-the-art! Nothing less for gentlemen such as ourselves"
Alastor hears him snort at his words. Already imagining the eyeroll he received from the other media demon. "Right... If that's what you want to believe, you old timey prick"
Content with Vox's comments. Alastor hums along to a song as he readies the camera. Waving over his shadow to take the picture as Vox stomped his feet in tune to the music he was humming.
His shadow, or Bee, chirped in delight at the thought of taking a picture of Vox. He reminded it that it was a picture for both of them. And his shadow only chittered in acknowledgement as his eyes didn't focus on his creator.
Seriously, that shadow of his can be unbearable.
Once it was all settled, Alastor takes his spot in Vox's side as he smiled for the camera. Willing his powers not to corrupt the silly old thing as Vox beamed at the camera as well.
He felt himself relax in his place as he steals a glance at Vox. Their eyes meet for a moment before Alastor looks away.
He doesn't bother to comment when he feels the other lean towards him as the camera clicks.
Vox couldn't contain his excitement as he waits for the picture to develop. "Can't it go any faster?" He huffed in annoyance as he stares at the two blank pictures in Alastor's grasp.
"Now now, my dear friend. Patience is a virtue one must know to succeed!" He tuts lightly, tapping on Vox's screen where his nose would've been as static fills it yet again.
Regardless, Vox snorts. "Because we're obviously down in Hell for being virtuous"
Alastor rolled his eyes at that. "You know what I mean! And it still applies!"
Still, Alastor speeds up the process with a flourish of his fingers. The pictures developing rapidly before his voice gets caught in his throat.
He looks.... so happy.....
His eyes were half-lidded. Relaxed as his smile seemed soft and genuine.
Besides him, Vox was leaning towards him with a bright smile on his face. His face practically beaming despite being immortalized in picture.
As if he had accomplished something truly worthwhile.
Truly important.
Alastor felt his throat go dry as he felt Vox besides him slouch as well.
"Wow"
Wow indeed.
Ever so gently, he hands Vox's his copy as his fingers curled around the picture as if he cradling it. And wasn't that such an odd thought? Yet still, the picture didn't crumpled in his hands as he looked at Alastor with such awe in his eyes.
"Thank you"
Alastor couldn't look away from those eyes even if he wanted to as he held his own picture to his chest.
"I– I—.... It was no problem, Vox"
Vox merely smiled as he looked down at his own copy.
Before he put out one of his hands, electricity covering it completely before the camera from before appeared in his hand. Still bandaged from Alastor's silly efforts.
Alastor could only blink. "What's that?"
He could only ask despite knowing what it was.
Vox snickered, before putting the camera into Alastor's hand. "For safekeeping. Thought you might like it since you went through the effort to fix it"
Alastor could only scoff. "Sap. That was nothing"
Vox stared into his eyes yet again, a soft gaze gracing his skin as his cheeks felt warm. "Still, I want you to keep it"
"Keep it. This old broken thing?"
Vox only shrugged. "It probably still works. Think of it as something to remember this day by"
Alastor could only raise his brow. "The picture wasn't enough?"
Vox just smiled. "You can never be too safe or else you'll be sorry"
Alastor just sighed, shaking his head. Still, it warms his heart that he could have another piece of him with him. "You and your silly little memorabilia"
Vox just winked at him. "You know it" He says before leaning closer to the radio demon. "Can't be too sure that you won't remember me when you go out on one of your hunts"
He shudders at the sound as his eyes go half-closed. He can't argue with that.
"I suppose I should thank you"
"Thank you, Alastor"
"I will never forget you"

Okay, after re-reading your posts about Grima(I'm obsessed, all of them are so good!) I now have a question that has been on my mind for the longest. If I recall correctly, you have the headcanon of Grima being immune to degeneration. Therefore, would it theoretically be possible that by experimenting with Grima's blood that someone could possibly create a cure for it? My mind is racing at the possibilities...
I'M SO GLAD YOU'VE ENJOYED THE GRIMA POSTS Grima is still one of my favorite things to deep dive into. But you're right, I do like to think that Grima is immune to degeneration! And I do think that, in theory, with the right technology and study, a cure for degeneration could be developed using Grima's blood as a starting point. Grima's immune, which means that if the gene sequence that makes other dragons susceptible to degeneration could be identified, along with the associated gene sequence that grants Grima immunity, some kind of cure (whether it's a vaccine or a gene therapy) could be developed to reduce the risks for other dragons.
Of course, that would require a level of technological advancement far beyond what Archanea's achieved, possibly approaching the technological level achieved by the Nabateans under Sothis (or the Agarthans in the present, given that they clearly have developed gene therapies able to implant Crests into humans, though clearly their process is ethically heinous). But I do think that the possibility is there, even if it's something for the future.

Fire Emblem Heroes | Rating: G | Character Focus: Chrom, F!Robin | Ship(s): M!Chrobin, F!Chrobin
A new Robin is summoned to Askr, unbeknownst to Chrom.
Chrobin Week 2023, Day 1: Encounter
[Read on AO3!]
As he paraded through the Askr castle grounds, Chrom found a familiar hooded figure leaned up against a tree, a large tome in his hands.
“Oh, Robin! There you are! Are you up for a round of sparring? The summoner has some new training manuals I’d love to practice!”
The person returning his gaze was most certainly not Robin, despite sharing the same tactician’s coat and… outfit? How curious. They also shared the same silvery locks, but this one had much longer hair pulled into twin tails spilling from their hood. Their eyes were a deeper brown than the gold he knew. And yet… they seemed so familiar…
“Chrom?!”
“Ah, then you know who I am?” Chrom asked, perplexed.
They chuckled. “Ha ha, very funny. Next you’re going to tell me that there are better places to study a tome than the ground.”
Chrom’s heart fluttered like a newborn pegasus at their smile, but despite the feeling of familiarity, he took a cautionary step back. “I-I am afraid we have never met.”
“Chrom,” they said sternly, standing up to put their hands on their hips, “It’s me, Robin! Your wife! Did the summoner’s portal give you amnesia?”
Wife… wife?!
…Robin?!
“I-er, my apologies, milady, but—but I am happily married to… er… Robin… my husband Robin!”
“Your… but we’re… how…”
Chrom crossed his arms, doing his best to wrap his mind around how there could possibly be two Robins here—let alone one of another gender whom he had never met! At least when a second Robin showed up in his world, it was an alternate future version of the Robin he married. Gods, even that was difficult for him to grasp.
“I’m… not entirely familiar with what the summoner’s power entails, but… perhaps… Much like my daughter Lucina came to my time from her future…”
Her face lit up with realization. “There could be other worlds…! How fascinating… Other worlds with other mes… and—“ she paused, her lips pulling into a frown. “And Chroms who aren’t the one I know.”
Chrom stepped forward, placing a gentle but firm hand on her shoulder. “I may not be the Chrom from your world, and we may not have the same exact experiences, but fate brought us together all the same.”
She smiled once more, a warmer one this time. He took a moment to more closely evaluate her features—a rounder jaw, thinner brows, slightly fuller lips… but still unmistakably Robin. And unlike in his world, where Lucina’s future Robin was overtaken by Grima… this was Robin through and through.
She slowly touched a gloved hand to his face, her lips gently pursed as though she was throughly examining him, too. “You really are Chrom from another world, aren’t you?”
“Hmm?”
Her hand grazed his ear. “There.” She jetted a laugh from her nose, though Chrom couldn’t possibly fathom why. A missing battle scar, perhaps? Based on the blush painting her cheeks, maybe they had a scuffle during a sparring match—but she didn’t seem to be jumping to explain herself.
“You’ve the keen eye of a tactician! Fortunately for me, the differences between you and my Robin are not quite so subtle… though you still managed to fool me,” he joked, eliciting a shy giggle from Robin. “Would you like to meet him?”
She grinned, that familiar thirst for knowledge in her eyes. “Absolutely!”

So I don’t have full-blown written-out supports but here’s a summary of how I would like Lucina and f!Morgan’s supports to go:
C-Support: Lucina finds Morgan passed out at her desk, drooling on her tactics notes. She wakes her, and tells her that Robin has been looking for her, and also that he and Chrom have been concerned about her tendencies to stay up so late studying. Morgan then says that she still lags behind Robin’s genius and needs to study this much if she wants to be a worthy tactician to Lucina; the latter finds the prospect unnecessary, especially if it’s what is driving Morgan to nod off. She urges Morgan to go speak to Robin, then briefly muses to herself how Morgan can’t see that being Lucina’s tactician is a useless position.
B-Support: Morgan approaches Lucina, firm in her belief that she ought to be her tactician because that’s the relationship between their fathers, and they both really want to be like their fathers. Lucina reminds her that there’s no point in her having a tactician because, unlike Chrom, Lucina doesn’t command an army nor rule a halidom, and she never will because Grima ripped that away from her. Morgan remains adamant, assuming that she must have been Lucina’s tactician in the future and getting offended at being refused the chance to continue the role. Lucina goes suspiciously quiet and the discussion peters out there.
A-Support: Morgan approaches Lucina to ask why the latter seemed so upset about last time. Lucina comes clean: the Morgan of her future disappeared shortly after both Chrom and Robin were lost, believing that Robin may still have been alive as his body was never found. Many years later, the two of them met again as enemies, Morgan having been somehow manipulated into joining the Grimleal. Hearing this, Morgan is briefly upset, but declares that this only strengthens her desire to be Lucina’s tactician, even if they can only role play the parts, because it’s almost certainly what the other Morgan would have wanted had she not gotten brainwashed. Lucina finally concedes, admitting that she should be grateful for the chance to spend time with a friend she’d thought lost forever.
S-Support: Morgan approaches Lucina (again) and asks her what she plans to do in case Grima is defeated. Lucina says she doesn’t know, just that she needs to leave her family behind since no one outside the Shepherds will believe her to be Chrom’s time-traveling daughter. Morgan remarks that that sounds incredibly lonely, then tells Lucina that she’ll stick around for the rest of their lives, very casually and bluntly adding that she loves her. Lucina is highly flustered and half-correctly surmises that Morgan’s whole “tactician” thing was just a ruse to get them hooked up, though she also admits that she greatly enjoys Morgan’s company and carefree attitude. Upon Lucina confessing, Morgan starts yelling for Robin and Chrom to tell them the good news and runs off before Lucina can say she isn’t ready for that yet.

"It's almost like they want to leave the idea of Robin untouched" HNGH I HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT THIS. Grima is Robin in despair but even in their despair Grima doesn't want to tarnish the fond memories Lucina has of Mom. Because Grima will act like they're not but they are a HUGE SENTIMENTAL IDIOT. Just very possessive and selfish.
EXACTLY. YOU GET IT.
They do the same damn thing with RKC in Heroes; they separate the concept of Grima from that of Robin, seemingly for Chrom's sake.
As far as I can tell they do the same thing in Future Past, keeping Robin hooded and generally try to avoid revealing their identity, until the very end when fusion danced main-timeline-Robin pokes their mind out to say some stuff and ruins that.
Hell, they do the same thing for a long time in main game Awakening, keeping their hood on and going by just The Hierophant until they feel they have to reveal themselves to try and convince main timeline Robin to go along with things. Hell, they tried to fusion dance before their alternate self even met the Shepherds, which if it had succeeded, would mean the Shepherds wouldn't even have a memory of them to tarnish. And that there wouldn't be a Lucina to traumatize.
They don't even realise how much of a sentimental idiot they really are.

Speaking of Grima in Heroes, I am the only one that one of their alts claim in their level 40 quotes that he's evil because his worshippers don't love him enough?
I mean an entire country worships Grima to the point of routinely sacrificing themselves and victims, they've continued to do this for a thousand years despite repeatedly being persecuted for the rest of the world explicitly for worshipping Grima?
It doesn't add up, I feel?
The Future Past DLC also depicts Grima mainly as a sadist.
If you are going to argue Grima lore I will once again direct you to professor of Grima studies @felikatze
Otherwise the best I can do is shrug and point out heroes fucks up characterization all the time, best not to spend too much energy on it

5, 6, 16, 27 for the ask game <3
5) What game would you recommend to someone new to the series?
Definitely Engage, considering it's a love letter to the whole series!
It's got great gameplay that's easy to get into, a simple but heartfelt story, really fun characters and all the overt references to the other games are likely to get you curious about the rest of the series!
6) Who's your favorite lord/protagonist?
ALEAR my beloved. They're so good and I love their story and character so much ;_;
It's just... they're so down-to-earth but at the same time so kind and genuine, you know? And I really appreciate just how unabashedly emotional and vulnerable they are, and I definitely get why they're so beloved in-universe. They're just a little guy (gender neutral)
16) What's your favorite world/setting?
Valentia, bar none. Tellius is a close second though.
27) Any fanfics/fan content you'd recommend? (You can plug your own stuff it's fine)
Good thing I actually started bookmarking the fics I really liked, would have really struggled otherwise😅
Hi, Lumera! - A short but heartwrenching Sommie PoV where it's waiting patiently for Lumera come back visiting them, not realizing death is a thing.
Emerald Moon - Coalition of Deer and Lion - One of those fics that merge Azure Moon and Verdant Wind together. It's really, REALLY good. I remember getting super hooked reading this!
the devil's got a hand in me, i can't deny by @felikatze - In which an Emmeryn that lived negotiates with Grima and she finds for the first time someone willing to listen.
Hiding My Violets (Before You Can See) by @nowis-scales - Kinda biased since it was a birthday gift for me but, hey😂 A Faye/Celica Modern AU oneshot with basically everything that makes that rarepair so great! Also fluffy as heck :3
Socially Distant by me :) - Modern AU Faye/Rinea story and also the first and only proper Faye/Rinea fic as of now. Part character study for both of them, but mainly it's the two women being complete bisasters together.
Valentian Reports by me :) - A retelling of Echoes through short diary entries written by almost every named character, kind of in the style of the diary entries and secret reports from KH Days. Still one of the fics I'm most proud of!

Here Be Dragons - closed starter
New faculty meant new people for Grima to become acquainted with. She wasn't exactly interested in what the new professor had to offer but something about him was strange. Flaming red hair and something in his eye were more than enough to draw Grima's curiosity. She had kept her distance for the days following his arrival but the more she passed by him in the halls the more her interest grew. A subtle miasma seemed to roll off of the professor and it was terribly familiar to Grima. It reminded her of her many years trapped in the Dragon's Table. The very same place she had consumed every last Earth Dragon to fuel her revival. Could he be of Earth Dragon descent? Somehow Grima doubted that. She wondered if his particular situation was like her own. Fell blood passed along a family line. Grima had no way of knowing for sure. She was a fairly young dragon herself and wasn't around during the time of the Earth Dragons reign. All she had to work off of was the information presented to her at her birth and the thousand years she was able to live before being sealed away. Human logs of the past were pitiful and she doubted the Divine Dragon Naga wished to speak with a horrific creature made of her blood. So this strange professor was her best bet.
Grima approached him near the end of the day. Once the rest of the students had wandered their ways back to their dorms and after school activities were taking place. She caught Arvis just as he was exiting his classroom, standing in his way in the hall.
"Professor Arvis! Are you busy? Forgive me, my name is Robin and I'm a Black Eagles student that's going to be taking your class very soon! I was hoping to discuss some things with you on some recent studies I've been undergoing." Grima said, approaching as harmlessly as possible. She was glad her vessel had such a bright eyed and easy to manipulate face. "Though I've been told these studies are... Not quite allowed."
That was one way to broach the subject of an extinct race of evil dragons, she supposed.

*arrives at court three weeks late with Starbucks*
This started as a joke instigated by @fayesdiary about how Grima is going to sue this new ‘Fell Dragon’ for stealing their title and my brain instantly latched on and wouldn’t let go.  I love Ace Attorney too much not to do this, okay?
The Judge: Ashera.  The only human divine among the present cast of divines across games, she should therefore be the most impartial on matters of dragon titles.  Also, she’s literally a goddess of order.  She is the logical choice for overseeing the proceedings.  Also she’s scary, so maybe she can keep things in line.  One can hope.
The Prosecution: Robin, representing Grima, the original one and only Fell Dragon.  Robin knew nothing about law going in, but they’re a quick study, so they’re picking it up fast.  They have a soft spot for Grima and stepped up for this voluntarily (and learning that Validar would be representing Grima otherwise just made them more determined).  Grima thinks Robin’s a little too into this, but does appreciate it (since those fond feelings are in fact mutual).
The Defense: Alear, representing Sombron.  Alear has no idea how they got roped into this.  They don’t know what they’re doing.  They don’t like this.  Someone please send help.
The Jury: The only reasonable way to decide the case is to have it evaluated by a jury of their peers -- so the court called in the best of the best and the worst of the worst to sit the bench.
Medeus: The OG villain, former Prince of the Earth Dragons, the Shadow Dragon himself.  Chosen not only for his antagonistic role in his story, but for how he was once a positive force who ultimately sought to destroy humanity due to their cruelty toward dragonkind.  A stern but fair juror who is paying close attention to the proceedings and intends to make a reasoned decision once all the evidence is heard and also he’s living for the fact that Naga is down the bench and can’t do a thing about him being here.
Loptous: The biggest threat to humanity ever seen, the Earth Dragon who’s been possessing humans for generations, and who has of course showed up to court in his last vessel sorry Julius.  Chosen for antagonistic role over all else, and honestly came for the chaos.  He’ll side with whoever will be more likely to generate the most rage.
Idunn: The former Divine-turned-War Dragon, secret final boss who faced Roy and met defeat at his blade -- but who lived, and is now undergoing the slow process of recovering her soul.  Chosen for her antagonistic role, as well as her tragic history of experimentation and corruption at the hands of outside forces.  Fae has joined her on the bench to help her big sister out, and has promised to be unbiased.  Fae does not know what ‘bias’ means, but she does know that Papa Grima’s over there, and she likes Papa Grima.
Naga: King of Archanea’s Divine Dragons herself, the purported goddess who blessed humanity with Falchion, the Book of Naga, and the Fire Emblem.  Chosen because she is Grima’s ultimate foe and the one who oversaw the Fell Dragon’s imprisonment in Archanea, making her uniquely qualified to be counted as Grima’s peer.  Does not like all these dragons she has had historic fights with being on the bench with her; likes it even less that she can do nothing about it.
Anankos: The Silent Dragon, the forgotten divine, the last of the first dragons and the last king of ruined Valla.  Chosen for both his antagonistic role and for how he once loved humanity but had it twisted into loathing by his ongoing degeneration; the last sane part of him showed up to sit the bench, which is good for everyone involved in this.  Is a little confused and unsure of what’s going on, but he’s got the spirit.
Sothis: The Progenitor Goddess of Fodlan, ancient and wise.  Chosen because she should arguably be a fair and reasonable judge for this trial; showed up because she’s a chaos gremlin and wants to see how fast this whole thing crashes and burns.  She’s passing out popcorn for the show.
