had the thought 'it might be interesting to also collect a cicada nymph before it can molt and keep it as a wet specimen' and then immediately the concept of a cicada quietly growing underground for thirteen years to finally, finally emerge into the world only to get killed and put in a jar before it ever has a chance to stretch its wings just because some idiot thought it'd be neat nearly made me cry

but lately I actually have been trying to increase the amount of walks I go on, so long as I'm careful and not pushing myself too much

proto: i don’t know why but despite being a robot you seem like you wouldn’t be very good at video games. which is probably completely wrong but you just don’t seem like you would be amazing at them. not that you can’t play anything hard, just that it would be. somewhat challenging compared to others.

rue: you’re very good at making inferences and piecing together the lore before it’s revealed. even though i’m pretty sure you don’t have opposable thumbs so playing games is. very hard for you. i still think you’re really good at understanding and inferencing the lore and have very good reading comprehension.

appreciate and protect the world around you. i have been so much happier finding small bits of whimsy and joy than i was looking at every day as another chore. when is the last time you looked at some random thing and wondered about it? when did you last ask a silly question? when did you last take a moment to just enjoy a moment and make an observation?

we should do that more often.

just heard about this app where you take a photo and then can't see it for hours while it's being "developed" and can't edit it after... if you want a disposable camera buy a little plastic reloadable, ilford and kodak are very much alive and kicking, buy a cheapo roll of film, find a film lab that does digital scans so you can still put it on social media and show your friends... if there's so much "MARKET" "DEMAND" for the functionality of a disposable camera why don't people go out and buy them (but please buy a reloadable, reuse is more environmentally friendly lol) and drive the price down again that's how the economy works right... it's certainly cheaper to develop a film photography habit than buy the new iphone every two years
