Going through these emails is like going through a different life. It’s so bizarre.

In 2013 I was sa’d and that was bad on its own, but at that time I was going through a lot: my mother had cancer, I was dealing with bad insomnia, I was doing my masters, taking French and a certification course (all at different universities) while having to take care of a sick mother, my younger brother, and my sick grandpa with very little help because my sister decided that she was better than that. My dad did help, but he’s a workaholic so I was doing a lot on my own. So it really hit me and I broke down badly.

Thanks to those emails I could pinpoint the exact day it happened because I came here to rant about it (since I didn’t tell anyone irl) and I received many supportive and encouraging responses.

And then, according to those emails, the very next day I was participating (kinda mediating) in a freaking shipping war in my side blog.

I dunno what I was thinking back then but rn it’s pretty laughable.

I’ve been feeling pretty nostalgic these days, and I was going through my old email account when I found a file with saved emails from 2012 to around 2016.

Many are irrelevant now (aka the ones from my university), but I found a bunch of asks/replies to my first tumblr account. I’ve seen people posting that nowadays asks aren’t as common as they were before and while I did notice it too, I thought that in my case it was simply because I became a recluse. Back then I used to be much more friendly and social than now, but still— the amount of people I used to talk to was insane. Unfortunately none of those blogs don’t exist anymore 💔 so i really can’t look for any of them

Kind of heartbreaking how you can lose friends so easily when nothing feels permanent and you never bothered asking for any other way of contact (not like it would work—I had the Skypes of a couple of them but nobody uses that anymore). But that’s life! And it’ll keep happening.

I deleted a bunch of things but I kept some messages that I’ll (try to) never forget. And I also found several anons that are a blessing at this point of my life.

I hope this person is doing great. Eleven years later, it still brought a smile to my face.

My faves were undoubtedly Akoya and Kinshiro, and while I didn’t particularly shipped them with anyone, I loved (and lived for) the unrequited love ships. As in: (Io&Ryuu)<-Akoya and En&(Atsu)<-Kin

And now that I’m looking at all my old stuff I just wonder wtf I was on and if I was a masochist??? Rn, I can’t take any unrequited love/love triangles stuff at all. My heart is very fragile these days for any of that and I simply refuse to do anything with it unless there’s a clear happy ending. I’m not one for pain & heartbreaks anymore.

Anyway, going through my old edits I remembered something that happened w my first blog (the one I deleted myself). My custom theme was basically Kin being all moody and yearning with one picture of him and atsu, so I guess if you reached a bit, you could say it was a kin*atsu theme (but in my mind it was more like a sad kin).

One day I got a few asks asking me if I was the owner of certain kin\atsu blog and I wasn’t so I was like ?? Hmm why do people think so??. And it turns out that someone copied my whole theme for their kin\atsu blog and I still don’t even understand how but yk I’ve never been that good w technology so ig it’s possible to copy a theme to the t.

The worst part of this was that the owner of that blog was my mutual, and yet he never said anything to me ?? Even when I replied to asks like; ‘ye someone stole my theme’ he never said anything and he was pretty active and did interact w my posts.

I really don’t know what he was thinking and ig it’s kinda flattering that someone copied something as trivial as my theme but yk it was also pretty weird since I edited all the pictures myself. Some were of the manga (that I coloured) and the K*A was of a magazine I scanned and then edited (deleted En and Arima and added rain and stuff like that). I deleted my blog a bit later (unrelated reasons) so I don’t know what happened to the guy or to the blog.

Turns out I still have them saved, but unfortunately I didn't save the extra line (the one you get hovering over them that I included as a link in the og posts), but well. at least I have them. I wonder how hard will it be to track that extra line?

I totally forgot about that Akoya post I queued. I used to queue a different one with all the merch I had of him, but I didn’t do it last year (and probably the year before either), so in January when I came across this one, I felt like continuing my tradition of celebrating one of my all-time favourite characters.

B.o.u.e.i.b.u wasn’t exactly good but god do I miss it. Even when the fandom was a bit annoying, it was fun. I miss my conquest boys. I also miss wasting money on any random merch I found, but unfortunately it’s not possible anymore—we are more responsible and we don’t have much room for it anyway.

Last year, a nail this long would’ve been unthinkable. And yes, ik I broke it in two places but for now I’m focusing on them growing. I’ll try to get them to be stronger later.

(Tbh when I used to have them this long years ago, they still broke a lot because I work a lot with my hands, but even if they still break, the fact they’re growing past my fingers is already a win).
