“What are you, a Kent?” 

It’s a saying in the world of the supernatural. A well-known one even. See, several, many generations back, no one quite knows when, the Kent family managed to run afoul of a particularly nasty creature who laid a curse upon them. The original wording, no one quite knows either, but the gist, everyone is aware of. For no firstborns will be born to them before they already have one. 

It was supposed to be airtight in a way, a curse that would end the entire bloodline really. For a child to exist before they could have a child? How could that be? 

Well. That curse had… backfired. It had backfired massively. Most, at least back when blood was everything, didn’t exactly ponder things like adoption to those outside of their own bloodline. The Kents however, lived in a very simple village, one that had disease spread through it often back then, leaving families childless and children parentless. 

What were they to do but take them in? And so they had a son, many sons and daughters even, before their firstborn. Now of course, most would simply dismiss it afterwards. After all, that was the end of the story, isn’t it? 

Well, no. See, the curse was a family-line curse, a just in case perhaps, that meant that each generation could not have any children until they had children. Perhaps it should have ended there, but well. It didn’t. 

Kents are a strange breed in the world of the supernatural, known for having a… bit of an adoption problem. If any child or babe were to be left near their land, one can be assured the family line would take them in as their own. 

Fae, demon, human, changeling, satyr, cyclops, half-breeds, werewolf- it didn’t matter. A Kent would gladly pick the child up and raise it as their own. And now, they could add aliens to that long, long list in the family line. 

And really, perhaps with this context, is it really surprising that when one Clark Kent, said alien, opens his door to a basket on his doorstep holding a trio of godlings, he takes them in with no questions asked?

What will happen to Wamuu when Joseph and Suzi just kind of.. pass away? Holly seems to age normally, so what then? How will Wamuu change, through grief and all? I know this may sound a bit morbid, but your au has been on my mind lately, so I can’t help but ask.

i think in my au Joseph and suzi are trained in hamon even a little and have a bit of a longer life for it

but it will end eventually they all know it and have accepted it the best they can

as for Holly, i dont think i can 100% say she is 'aging normally' for me Holly aging fluctuates because she's half pillar man. Growing up shes giant for a baby her age, teeth nearly right out the womb, but things like speech or losing baby teeth took longer than normal human babies. She gets weird growth spurts where sometimes she's behind and sometimes she ahead of others. Her awkward teen years were extra awkward. Girls still losing baby teeth into her 20s at least.

So who knows how long she's actually going to be around, but because so much is human, she will probably be gone at some point in Whams lifetime. And then Jotaro and Jolyne are less and less Pillar man so while their probably going to live longer and healthier lives than the average human, their not going to be around forever

but the joestar name is strong, Whams always going to have his family. and He'll always have the other Pillar men. He's going to be sad, no doubt, but he is and will be loved.

I wonder if Alicent and Laena will become friends. They could talk sh!t about their husbands, get all emotional over their children (and potential grandchildren) and they both just really really need a friend (and some support).

They both really do need a friend and they do have the built in connection of having sh*tty Targaryen men as husbands. I doubt Laena had any other girls around her growing up(she only had her brother and all her cousins were boys). Alicent hasn’t had a friend since she married king crusty so I can definitely see the Laena and Alicent gal-pals untied vision 👍🏽

Personal headcannons for our boi Sal Commander/G'Throkka? (Dude is underrated gimme mah man)

I don’t really have a lot of HCs for Sal Commander but I do have this for his backstory.

Going back on my Salamandrians HC on match making and having a mate, for Sal when he was a young man he went through the match making process like every other male does when they come of age and he was match with a young woman apart of their weaponry. A very attractive and intelligent woman who Sal was happy to be matched with. It’s rare for the matches to actually fall in love, but for Sal he did but his mate never reciprocated those feelings. After they created their offspring she left him to return to her work and he never had contact with her again. Despite that Sal tried to look at the positive and be there for his son, but tragically his son died at a young age, killed in his first major battle at war.

This broke Sal, having lost his son and his mate never loved him, he felt as if he had no one left. Years later, Sal is attacked by Newtralizer and is sent to be treated for his wounds. Knowing it will take months to recover, Sal needed someone to take his place on the battle field m and lead his solider in their next attack against their enemies, The Triceratons, so Sal picks two of his best pupils to take his place. A young couple who were both student under Sal and were trained by him, the couple were eventually matched and actually feel in love, a rare sight on Salamandria for a match to actually grow feelings for one another.

The couple were honored and agreed to take Sal's position on the battle field, but there was one problem. Who would watch their daughter, Y'gythgba? Sal decided to look after the 6 year old girl while her parents went off to fight in Sal's place. Unknowing to them it would be the last time they would see the couple.

When word got out that Y'gythgba's parents were killed in the battle against the Triceratons, Sal was devistated. He felt as if he was to blame for this young girl's parent's death. He was the one who sent them out to be killed. It all his fault. He truly felt alone. His mate leaving him, his only son dead, and two of his pupils now gone as well, Sal felt lost, but luckily Y'gythgba was there for him. The little girl assured him that she does not blame him and that she knows her parents fought with honor till the very end. A bond was created that day, with Sal vowing to protect Y'gythgba and train her to become a great warrior, and Y'gythgba promising to become the strongest warrior their planet has ever seen so she could kill every Triceraton she sees to avenge her parents. They both lost people they loved and cared about, they both were alone in this cruel world, so the stick together, always having each others backs though every battle and conflict they face.

Over the years, Sal Commander grew to see Mona Lisa as his own daughter, and Mona saw Sal as a father figure, but the two would never admit it to one another. They both can be stubborn about it. I'd say it wasn't until Mona met and started dating Raph that Sal's inner dad really came out and realized that Raph and Mona could one day make exceptionally strong warrior offspring XD

valaena/aemond definitely not social media people but they both join it. valaena joining because rhaena begged her to by saying she wants both her sisters to be on it so they could be the power trio and when has valaena been able to deny rhaena anything? so she joins it and aemond is on there to ensure no creeps get to valaena. jace/baela’s acc is just travel diaries and cute couple photos + photos with siblings and their two sons, rhaena & helaena’s acc is just them and all kinds of animals plus filled with pictures of their nieces and nephew. aemond’s account is just a fanpage for his wife and kids and valaena has so many pictures of her family on there. daemon with his guitar while a baby viserys is on his shoulder, one of nyra wearing a pearl crown that valaena made for her during mother’s day when she was 9, so many many pictures of rhaenys & she has the most rare pictures of her siblings because she’s such a great photographer. and then she ofc so many many many pictures of her husband and kids. she very rarely posts herself but she does once in this gorgeous thigh high slit dress and her sisters convinced her to post it because my god does she look good but the real scandal is when you can clearly see aemond’s name carved out on her upper thigh. the internet has a meltdown and daemon comes to their house in less than 30 minutes he’s breaking in shoving aemond into a wall and asking him what made him think it was okay to harm his little girl like that? the only thing that gets him to calm down is valaena placing his grandson “daemon” in his arms. that was the last day valaena was ever seen on social media. R.I.P to user valaenatargaryen’s short but loves career.

Valaena and aemond have no interest in social media outside of their family but that’s part of the appeal for their rabid fans, they were non existent online one day and the next rhaena_v_targ is tagging them and suddenly aemond and Valaena are online!! They’re seeing the memes and the TikTok’s and posting!!

They never show their kids faces and it’s very much artistic privacy oriented posts for them and a montage of how much they love their family

And the ONE TIME Valaena posts herself the internet goes crazy bc not only is it a thirst trap (lets be real it’s a beautiful thigh high slit dress and you can probably see her nipples pebbling and HOLY SHIT VALAENA HAS HER NIPPLES PIERCED dominated the comments and her hair is just a crazy riot of curls and her eyes are so wide it literally looks post sex) but the AT on her thigh is obvious! Has Saige ever gotten into trouble?

If we are talking at home, then yes. She might be a relatively calm kid, but she will also follow Madi wherever she tells her to go and ends up getting in trouble with her moms too. She's never the mastermind, but she will participate in the shenanigans. Most she got was when she used some papers for drawing that were important or that one time she ruined a painting Clarke was working on because she wanted to help. It's just stuff kids do, and after calming down, Clarke explained to her why what she did was wrong.

Other than that, not really. Saige is a pretty quiet kid, she has some anxiety and is clear as day she'd rather be invisible most of the time because so far, when people see her, they tend to pick on her- teachers say she's too head in the clouds, sweet kid but will miss entire lessons doodling or day dreaming and kids will be mean tonher because she's a chubby quiet kid with bunny teeth and who is very princess like and still calls Lexa mommy in her teens and is over all the type of person a bully would target. She only ever gets in trouble that one time Madi defends her, and they both end up at the principals office.

In college, she goes to a party with her roommate and ends up drunk and feels so guilty because she's only 19 and she promised Lexa she'd drink responsibly but because she never drinks, only a couple of cups got her drunk and she feels awful. Ends up calling Lexa to apologize and everything, Lexa feels so sorry for her little girl and tells her its alright, she's young, she deserves to enjoy herself.... although she clearly didnt 😅

Saige is just a naturally anxious kid. She isn't good at questioning authority, and the idea of getting in trouble terrifies her. Maybe because she was raised with an older sister who got in trouble so much, it made her very weary of it and in her mind she needed to be well behave so her moms didnt have to worry about her the way they do about Madi. But if Saige can avoid getting into trouble, then she will.

As much as it would shock many, the Great Sage understood the feeling of loneliness quite well — even more than one would expect. Odd given he lived like a hermit and rarely left the mountains that he called home. That didn’t mean he didn’t feel alone at times and ached for companionship some days, but building new bonds and opening up to others was hard. Especially after so many centuries building up walls and barriers after so much hurt and pain. Trying to keep himself safe from that emotional turmoil that came with such intimacy — hiding from the inevitable as best as he could.

There was no hesitation as he pulled his granddaughter into his embrace, wrapping his arms securely around her and holding her close. Not about to turn her away when she needed this — not when she needed him. Wanting to comfort and care for her in the moment. Let her know that he was here for her and that she wasn’t alone tonight. Sonson didn’t have to be alone tonight, he’d be here for her. 

It wasn’t long before he hoisted her up into his arms, cradling her against him and holding her close as he headed to the area of his little hut that served as his living room. His full attention was going to be on making sure that Sonson was taken care of and ease her feelings. Nothing else.

“I’ve got you, 爷爷 got you — “

“ — I’m not going anywhere.”

Resting his head against her as he settled them down gently on the couch, tail wrapping around her now and keeping her held close. Using his free claw to pluck a strand of golden fur from atop his head as they poofed into a plush warm blanket. Wrapping it around them both in the moment as soft chirping and gentle trills filled the room now, using them to help ease Sonson in the moment.

Tonight Xiaomin‘s care was all he was focusing on. Nothing else matter in that moment but her.
