prompt: demonic regression therapy
hannibal dies (in a universe where he never met will and just wound up catching his own death eventually by uhhh losing some kind of battle with another serial killer or something)
in the afterlife, all the Bad People are given to demons who will keep tormenting/teaching them until they learn how to be Good People
hannibal is quite disappointed to discover that life goes on after death because he was sort of hoping to just. cease existing. and also he's likely to be Punished for eternity, obviously, so he's not looking forward to that.
will is his assigned demon. hannibal tells him that it's probably a lost cause because he doesn't feel remorse for what he did in life and he doesn't expect suffering will change that—he already suffered in life, and that didn't turn him into a good person. what hannibal doesn't realize is that will is always the one given the Special Cases, and he can almost always find a way.
some time later, will asks hannibal if he wants to see mischa. hannibal gets angry, tells will not to torment him. obviously hannibal desperately wants to see her, but he also knows that he can never see her again, and even if he could, she wouldn't recognize him. she would want her brother back, but her brother died with her in the wilderness, and the hannibal that lived on was never the same.
but. will says "that boy didn't die, he's still in you. every part of her brother is still buried in you. you could become him again."
"you cannot rewind time," hannibal counters, "not even in the afterlife."
"no," will agrees. "but you could… regress. i could help you."
anyway supernatural sort–of–coerced age–regression therapy plus a demon will who starts getting way too close to his patient 🙂
some extra bits:
demons arent necessarily bad in this verse its just that will is the most empathic among them so he's the best at dealing with the very difficult souls
its… kind of a Good Place AU?
i kind of like the idea of hannibal alone in a room bound to a chair with his head locked in a forward position
behind him, will enters. says hello. "i think i might have found a way to motivate you, hannibal."
and then hannibal hears "annibal?" for the first time in forty years and all he wants to do is see her but he cant
he thrashes around in the chair trying to turn around but he cant
and then will tells mischa she did a good job and theyll see her later
also the other cool thing about regression in this space is that it's a supernatural space so regression can also affect the body's age if you want it to. little hannibal could be in a body to match.
hannibal doesnt even realize its happening until will comes in to comfort him during his panic attack and hannibal reaches for him and sees his own small hand... then bursts into sobs and buries his face against will's body

ROCKABYE THE MUSICAL GOOD PLACE AU!!!
okay so i had this idea at like midnight yesterday, jotted it down, and immediately had to make it into a reality-- pls bear with me here <33
CAST LIST:
michael: bobby
pretty self-explanatory... the one who gathers our main group together, slightly unhinged but also lovable, ulterior motives ooooo
janet: yog sothoth
all-knowing helper thing. need i say more.
sean: azathoth
this one is a little trickier-- eventually i figured that there’s an azathoth for every universe, and maybe the malfunctions in the good place are causing the good azathoth to wake. really my reasoning is space eczema = cocoon?? BASICALLy the same thing /hj
OKAY NOW ONTO THE FUN BIT!!
eleanor: simon
these two are VERY similar character-wise... petty little bastards with trust issues and bad parents, basically... and i think watching him take ethics lessons would be super fucking funny. also waking up in like a SUNSHINE YELLOW DRESS and looking down like “what the fuck am i wearing why do i look like a fucking kindergarten teacher”
chidi: marly
okay the last two were similar but these are LITERALLY THE SAME PERSON-- anxious overachievers who second-guess their every decision say what?? (also eleanor and chidi would not date in this version bc just... ew) (but marly was so so looking forward to meeting her soulmate and so so sad that it turned out to be fake) (protect her at all costs i beg of you)
tahani: xander
TAHANI AND ELEANOR ARE END GAME I DO NOT MAKE THE RULES EXCEPT I DO. srsly though the enemies to reluctant friends to lovers?? literally them to a T. also xander has an older sibling right?? i didn’t make that up?? whatever either way this is all part of my homosexual agenda to get xander to boop simon and call him adorable like the condescending little asshole he is
jason: adil
- no thoughts head empty (HE IS JUST LIKE ME FR) - just there for the vibes - she and simon can have their little QPR thing... what w/ them both being outliers & shit
real eleanor: calypso
mostly bc she’s one of chidi’s love interests and i need her and marly together, but also bc i want to see her stepping off the train fully decked out in simon’s emo outfit LMAO. srsly tho simon fucking freaking out bc this au version of him is so bubbly and sweet and everyone loves her?? also the little parallel with them both being songwriters?? idk i just think it’s silly :DD
OKAY SO THIS IS THE END!! honestly i am teetering on the edge of writing this and if one person tells me to do it i’ll give in i am so serious rn--

Double Life Good Place AU
Hear me out. The Divorce Quartet as the main four. They all canonically torture each other.
Pearl is Eleanor. She is a morally bleak ball of chaos who hates her soulmate and wants to make his afterlife as painful as possible.
Scott is Chidi. Just this ball of anxiousness who had dedicated his afterlife to making sure Pearl doesn’t get discovered by Michael.
Cleo is Tahani. I feel like she fits the vibe of ‘good actions morally grey intentions’.
Martyn is Jason. Process of elimination and I just find it funny.
Grian as Michael. This would make the demons Watchers. He is this immortal entity created to cause pain and destruction, then gets blackmailed by a wet cat and her fellow divorcees.

@badthingshappenbingo fill for Heart Attack!
You can find this ficlet on ao3 HERE.
To say that Jason Todd took after his dad… well, to those who knew the pair, it would seem almost redundant.  “He sure is his father’s boy,” the waitress at the diner on the corner of Main Street would huff with a shake of her head as the boy in question walked past the front window, leather jacket thrown over one shoulder, and the other customers would hum and nod and know that wasn’t a good thing.  She didn’t need to explain herself, or say any more than that.  Everyone in the small town of Millburn, New Jersey knew what she meant.  Because Jason Todd took after his dad—from the curl of his black hair to the mean glint in his eye to the skill with which he could spin a tire iron, whether that be for profit or for pain.
And profit there was.  The Todd’s had a lucrative family business of doing any and all petty crime available across the state of New Jersey, and anywhere the elder Willis Todd went his son could be found following, to uphold the family’s legacy.  They were like two peas in a pod, rotten to the core, and everyone knew it.  There were, in fact, only two key differences between Jason and his father, besides the fact that one was in his early thirties and the other was pushing fifty.  For one, Jason Todd had no wife to beat, and seemed to have no interest in finding one; and for two, he might run drugs between the big cities for a certain Mr. Dent, but he never partook himself.  No, he was rude, abrasive, and uncaring, with a vindictive streak a mile wide, all without the aid of a single drop of booze.
So it was.  Jason took after his father in nearly every way that mattered, a swagger to his step and solid ice in his clear blue eyes.  And so it was that this would be the thing that killed him—for just like his father before him, he had a minuscule defect in his heart that, while generally harmless, could, under a very specific set of circumstances, prove fatal.
It happened on a Wednesday night, in a cheap trailer parked across five parking spaces at the lot used by the town’s only Walmart Super Store.  While Catherine Todd lay on the bathroom floor with a needle in her arm, and old Willis Todd sat on the couch in a drunk stupor with the game playing on the stolen TV, Jason stood in the sorry excuse for a kitchen waiting for the toaster to pop with a late night snack.  He wasn’t supposed to touch the pop-tarts (they were strawberry and cream flavored, his mom’s favorite—his father had bought them three weeks before as a consolation gift because he’d blown through too much of their savings to buy his wife an anniversary present that year), but he’d grabbed two anyway, sure no one would miss them.
The sequence of events from there went as follows: the toaster popped, but because of the way the pop-tart on the left had been inserted into the slot, it got caught under the rim and wouldn’t come out.  Jason, annoyed, banged on the side with his fist.  When that got him nowhere fast, the only response a drunken mumble from his father, he pulled a fork from the mess of dishes in the sink, wiped it off on his mother’s dish towel, and stuck it into the slot.  Cursing and swearing, he tried to dig out the trapped pastry, only succeeding in forcing it down further.  He responded by shoving the fork in further behind it.
It was in vain.  Little did Jason know that thirteen seconds after inserting the fork into the toaster, he would make the unfortunate mistake of shoving the pastry down far enough that it triggered the heating element.  All it took was a touch of the fork to an exposed wire down near the bottom of the slot, and an electrical shock that should only have stunned him momentarily went on to cause a heart attack that stopped Jason’s heart like a stone in his chest.
He jerked once, twice, dropped the fork to the floor, and was dead before he even came down to meet it.  It would take his mother fourteen hours to find his cold body, and she would only notice because she literally tripped over his sprawling leg.
Of everyone in the small town of Millburn, only a handful of people went to the funeral—just a few of Jason’s grade school teachers (“so much potential,” they had said in every parent-teacher conference, studiously avoiding Willis Todd’s eyes), the cop who had issued the warrant for Jason’s last arrest who was only there to make sure the bastard was truly dead, and Father Howard, the local preacher.  Jason’s parents were fashionably late as always, and only arrived after the grave had been filled and the last of the meandering ‘well-wishers’ gone.
“It’s what you deserve for giving me such a shit-heel for a son,” Willis Todd said to a weeping Catherine Todd, putting out his cigarette on the headstone still waiting to be put in place.  And that, as they say, was that.
…Unless you count the part where Jason Todd blinked his eyes and came to awareness in the afterlife with a single calm inhale, that is.

Hey, if you're still doing the Newsies AUs, could you do one for the Good Place? Thanks!
I am definitely still doing AUs. I have a whole list to get through plus ones that people are just randomly suggesting, lol
Guys, I absolutely love the Good Place, if you haven’t watched it, drop everything and go watch it right now. I’m so excited.
Jack Kelly as Eleanor Shellshrop
Tumblr media
A recently deceased man who was born and raised in New York, never having so much as left the state, who seemingly dies and arrives in The Good Place. Jack was a selfish person on earth who was a salesman. He sold faulty pharmaceuticals to elderly people and he was really good at it, his parents were deadbeats and he had no siblings. Jack dies in a Walmart parking lot. He gets hit by a car after attempting to drown his sorrows in alcohol and ice cream. It had been a particularly bad day. Once Jack arrives in The Good Place, he realizes a mistake was made and must pretend to be a good person in order to keep his status and avoid being shipped off to The Bad Place.
David Jacobs as Chidi Anagonye
Tumblr media
A recently deceased professor from Israel who taught ethics and moral philosophy. David lived a life of indecisiveness and died while trying to make up his mind and getting an air conditioner dropped on his head. David is a kindhearted man, but his inability to make any decision makes life difficult for everyone important to him. He is assigned as Jack’s soulmate in The Good Place and is then tasked with the ultimate questions: help Jack stay in The Good Place after his cry for help, or send him to The Bad Place out of obligation to this heavenly community?
Spot Conlon as Tahani Al-Jamil
Tumblr media
Spot grew up very fortunate, and by fortunate I mean wealthy, gorgeous, famous and determined. He died after being crushed by a statue of his overbearing, much more fortunate big sister, with whom he did not get along with too well. Spot was a philanthropist and model in life and is not at all surprised when he ends up in The Good Place, as he did a lot of charity work. He forms a friendship with Jack who does not quite like him at all at first, but the two eventually grow quite close.
Racetrack Higgins as Jason Mendoza
Tumblr media
A recently deceased Floridian who was a drug dealer, DJ and thief in life who died after a heist gone wrong. In The Good Place, Race is told that he was a Christian Monk in life who took a vow of silence, Race, who’s street smarts kick in, agrees to continue that vow of silence in death so he can avoid being sent to The Bad Place. Race is a kindhearted, bubbly kid who falls for his soulmate, Spot Conlon but can’t do a thing about it in fear of being found out.
Katherine Plumber as Janet
Tumblr media
A Good Place all knowing súper computer who can appear anywhere upon someone’s request. Katherine begins to form human-like connections with the four humans and is the most intelligent, adaptable Katherine known in the universe.
Medda Larkin as Michael
Tumblr media
Medda is an architect who is desperate to please her bosses with the invention of this new Good Place simulation.

I love "i would kill for you" ship dynamics but what about "i would stop killing" ship dynamic??
I would lay down my sword for you. I would change my nature and go against everything i've known. I would resist the easy way out of solving my problems. I would give up the adrenaline of battle to stay by your side and make tea instead. I'm not sure I know who I am without a weapon in my hand because I've had to fight for so long but for you I'm willing to try and figure this out.
It must be hard. To put down your weapon that's protected you for so long. It's allowed you to stay alive it's kept you from getting hurt--physically and mentally. Because you've never had to worry about a real relationship if you think you'll be dead at the next battle. And you feel naked without it and it feels like you're ripping off an extension of yourself. Are you even whole without it? Are you worthy of being loved if you can't prove it by risking your life? And yet they've found someone who's asking them for something much harder than dying in battle on their behalf. They've found someone who wants them to live. And that's much more terrifying.

Unknown, the Wandering Hero
So! We all know the typical Vivisection AU, right? Danny is revealed to his parents and they take it in all the wrong ways. They capture him, Vivisect him, and eventually he manages to escape with the help of his friends.
But what about his Rouges?
Sure, we all like to think of some of the more friendly ones like Ember, or Sydney, or Johnny 13 and Kitty, but he has WAY more Evil Rouges than good ones.
Without Danny there to reign them in, the Rouges spread out across the world to fulfill their obsessions, unhampered by the Heroes and Villains of the world that have no means to fight them.
And Danny? He feels responsible. He was the one to open the Gate, he was the Sacrifice, the one to let them through. And when the going got tough he just up and left? No, that won't do.
His Obsession is Protection for a reason, and nothing has changed. All he needs to do is expand his area of focus a little.
Danny, after healing up, starts wandering the world in search of the Ghosts who have escaped into the Mortal Realm. He battles all of his old foes, as well as many new ones who he hadn't met before.
His travels take him far and wide.
He defeats Skulker in Metropolis, as he is trying to hunt down the Super Family for their pelts. They are the last of their race after all, so he is inclined to try and hunt them. Honestly dealing with Skulker was easy, dealing with the Rich Asshole who was funding him was a nightmare.
He chases down Spectra in Gotham as she tries to feed on the misery of an entire City. (Thanks to @impyssadobsessions for the idea, this Prompt specifically). She is actually a very tough fight, especially powered by both the Misery of an Entire City as well as his Own Misery, but he manages.
He defeats Technus is Central City, as he tries to Raid Star Labs for their advanced Tech. It actually took a while to beat him after he amped himself with all that Power, and he did need help from the Local Hero to deal with him. He's just thankful Technus is one of the more "Harmless" ones.
After every Victory, he sends them back to the Realms using the Banishing Spell that Sam taught him a while back (the only bit of magic he ever really managed to master).
He knows they'll eventually find their way back out, but it's all he can do anymore. It's his eternal Punishment for unleashing them out into the World in the first place. He was the Catalyst for this Situation, now he was tasked with Fixing it, no matter how long it took.
...
The Justice League is caught in a tricky situation a the moment.
In the past few months, they have been encountering more and more of these Extra Dimensional Beings known as Realms Ghosts across the World.
Justice League Dark has had some success in battling them, but even they are getting tired of having to deal with every single incident alone.
They did get approached by a Government Agency known as the Ghostly Investigation Ward that seemed to want to help, but it didn't take long to realize that their main Aim was to Genocide the entire Race. The JLA had quickly cut ties after realizing that, and took what little Tech and Information they had been able to gather.
Still, it wasn't easy to deal with these Entities.
Thankfully, they have had some outside help. An Unknown Being has been routinely showing up whenever a Realms Ghost appears and defeating them, before using a (as described by Constantine) "Rudimentary Banishing Spell held together by willpower and luck" to send them back to their home Dimension. There's honestly no way it should be functional, but he did make it work either way.
They don't know much about this Unknown, aside from the fact that he seems to be the only one able to consistently damage the Realms Ghosts. His Powerset leads them to belive he may be from the same Dimension, or at least drawing his power from the same Source, but as he actively avoids the League and takes every opportunity to not talk to them, they know they aren't getting any answers any time soon.
Over the past few months, they had affectionately started referring to him as Unknown, creative they know, because they could never get his Real Name. Sure, some of the Realms Ghosts seemed to recognize him, but they always called him stuff like "Whelp" and "Punk" and "Usurper", which were not very good names to use when referring to him. Although the last one was a bit concerning.
They had only managed to trade a few quick words with Unknown in the past few months, but it was enough to get the Gist of it. He was just doing his job, sending the Realms Ghosts back where they belonged. There was apparently a Tear in Reality letting them through, but he seemed hesitant to reveal what he knew about it.
After a few months of sparse interactions, they eventually managed to convince him to at least take an Emergency Communicator. Just in case. They even let him take it apart to look for any Tracking Devices, which earned them a small bit of trust. They took whatever wins they could.
Fortunately, it seemed he never did need it. In fact he was getting more and more efficient with every battle, defeating his foes in half the time it would have taken before.
Unfortunately, it didn't last forever. One day, the Communicator went off, a distorted voice quickly saying, "Need backup, some of them decide to Team Up" before cutting out.
They quickly rushed to his location, finding an active battlefield with no less that a dozen Ghosts battling Unknown. And he seemed to be on the ropes.
With their arrival, the combined force of the Justice League and Unknown eventually managed to defeat the Group of Ghosts. Justice League Dark volunteered to work on the Banishing Spells while the others cleaned up the damage from the Battle.
One of them approached Unknown to make sure he was ok, and froze.
During the battle, Unknown's Mask had been Torn off, and they could finally see the face of the Hero they had been working with for the past few months.
And he was a Child.

Okay! I don't know where you got the idea from and my best guess is that your brain is connected to mine via bluetooth but.
Me and Hoddie have a royal au and your animation made me think of it again.
Nothing crazy special, but...ah...I should probably give a little context yeah...hmm.
Uh, okay. There's a kingdom. whose king and queen have died, leaving behind several possible heirs who are not their direct children. Right now, the king's first general is sitting on the throne, because the power of the army is, you know, a pretty powerful argument in a fight for the throne, right? This creepy regent is Cass. And Cass came to power thanks to Hoddie, who's basically the king's heir too, but she's pretty distant and her chances of the throne are quite slim. This has made her a professional rat and back stabber. The whole palace is busy weaving intrigue and destroying each other in a competition for power. Contests in cunning and sneakiness. A maximally intellectually uncomfortable environment in general.
Until Hoddie finds the true heiress. The king's blood daughter, to whom the throne should rightfully belong.
Problem? The problem is that the heiress needs to be two years older to be old enough to rule. And Hoddie and Cass' goal is to make sure she lives to that age in an environment where every other person wants to frame or kill her.
That heiress is you, Tap. But we couldn't think of what you'd look like in this au ahaha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MHHMMM I SEE ONCE IN A WHILE BRAIN BLUETOOTH IS A GOOD THING you left me a window for my part and I grabbed this opportunity with sharp teeth Since there was no mention of my part, I have the audacity to add my own version. Did I understand correctly that my existence as an heiress was not known? It would be strange if the king was not looking for me, if I was the only heir (by blood), which means they were hoping for a new child, or already had plans for an indirect heir, or wanted to hide me. What other power is there, besides the king and the army, that holds the common people? Church. The king could have sent me to be trained as a priestess in order to gain support from them (either I was not considered worthy of receiving the throne in the future, which is why they preferred to hide me, or the king so badly needed their support that he was ready to sacrifice his only blood daughter) . Thus, from a young age, the beauty of a non-existent world somewhere beyond the heavens was drummed into my head and, in general, “God speaks all our actions.” I have an inconspicuous appearance, a position above a simple servant, but such priests are usually considered to be the daughters of high nobles, but not the king himself, which is why not everyone could know who I really was. Thus, they forgot about my existence ~ After the death of the king and all the heirs, the church quickly realized what to do next, and crushed me to itself, hiding me from the world until I reached the age of succession to the throne. (But children could take the throne under a regent. Could Hoodi become my regent as one of the older contenders for the throne?) So, back to the turmoil. Hoodie found me at church. Since childhood, my worldview could have changed greatly under the influence of the church, so, well, you will have to hammer a lot into my head, in addition to the throne’s education (You know... it's bit complicated to make a human sona not as a stupid little ball XDD... it literally can't get a shape at this point... maybe you will place a real bunny as the new king? It will be eating cabbage 24/7 and everyone will be happy)

New In Town (dp x dc)
ALRIGHT! 👏🏽 A prompt. (Or, well. A premise.) I’m schtealing a lot of worldbuilding from @mediumsizedpidegon‘s post here so bear with me please.
The Bats, however they catch wind of Amity, catch wind of Amity Park. Of course they do. Amity Park has a very distinct presence— Or, well, a lack of a presence. It may have an abundance of documented weirdness online, from folk stories to abandoned livestreams to concerning details in expats’ online blogs.
But there is no online evidence of Amity Park that leaves Amity Park.
So. What is a family of detectives to do when confronted with the need to gather physical evidence? Road Trip, baby!🏄🏽‍♂️🚗🚞🚡
Everyone hops in the car/Batplane and makes their way to Amity Park; they make hotel reservations, ring up the only reasonably rich enough people to even touch their social circle (the Manson family, and Vlad Masters, apparently), make an itinerary for all the documented tourist stops to hit up while in town off the town website, and prepare themselves for whatever dimensional weirdness is causing a complete tech blackout on the town and an inability to be found by satellite.
They get about ten feet into Amity proper when they meet the first local.
His name is Danny. He’s nice! Affable. He looks a lot like any other Wayne sibling, actually, if a little on the younger side. He notices it’s their first time in town. Do they need any help getting around?
Best way to get information is to ingratiate with a local, so...sure, why not? They get a free tour guide, Danny gets to show off his town; they see all the sights, like the local burger joint, the school, the Manson home, the town hall, the city proper. They’re having a clothing swap in the temple parking lot, actually. You should go check it out!
For whatever reason, it’s all...Punk? Goth? There’s a couple of lolita dressed tossed in, and some crocheted things. Everyone has a trunk out their car, eyeliner, and at least two piercings in their face; everyone here seems to know each other on a personal level. Well, small towns are small towns. Whatever.
Danny isn’t deterred by their reactions. If they want, there’s the movie in park tonight! If not, they can catch dinner, though; their hotel restaurant closes at 8pm sharp. (He just...knows this off the top of his head?)
They split up. Some of the family people watch at the restaurant. Everyone is...weirdly courteous to them. A little standoffish. But not at the Wayne name, just at...them being there.
The people at the park find out they’re watching The Night of the Living Dead. This would be much more normal if the park wasn’t also clearly the cemetery, in the middle of July? Which is. Why? It’s not even for any holiday or special time of the year? It’s just...clearly a movie night in the summer? There are little kids here, playing among the gravestones while their parents set out blankets and snacks. Why is this considered a family event??
Well. At least Jason has fun.
Everyone goes to bed and reconvenes in the morning. When they wake up and roll out for the day, Danny manages to find them again, this time with two new friends, bright and chipper in the morning. There’s a farmer’s market today! Everyone’s worked really hard on this week’s harvest; don’t they want to see?
...Sure?
And the longer they’re in Amity Park, the more they begin to realize how convenient it is, that they’re ferried around so easily; that there’s immediately a local who takes a liking to them, that there’s always something else to do; how suspicious it is that no data can get in or out of Amity now that they’re in it, or how they can’t seem to get close to any of the more suspicious parts of town they want to infiltrate. The town is entirely closed to outside influences. The fashion trends are strange and foreign. They only eat things grown in the area, by people they know, and it’s all sort of...green. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone knows where to go. Who to talk to. The superstitions— make no wishes, step on no cracks, wear no large jewelry, cross no shadows of any person (living or dead, apparently), speak to no one without full view of their eyes.
But nothing seems dangerous— not until a few of them try to investigate Axiom Labs, a subsidiary of the otherwise national Dalvco company, and are met to the face with a blaster that uses tech they’ve never seen, by a red fighter in an ultra-synthetic suit.
Overnight, the extremely polite and welcoming town becomes a hostile entity to fight their way out of.
