Welcome, ineffable fans, to ApocaLips Now: a freeform tag matching First Kiss AO3 Exchange! This is the ultimate heavenly (and hellish) confluence of all 'Good Omens' canons, celebrating the imminent potential canon kiss of our beloved ethereal entities.
Will our celestial pair share their first kiss on Earth, in Heaven, or perhaps even in Hell? Will it be a stolen moment of passion in the back of the Bentley or a shy confession in the cozy confines of Aziraphale's bookshop? Before canon takes the reins, here's your chance to let your imagination run wild!
Fanfic, fanart and all Good Omens canons welcome

What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang involves writers creating a fic. Artists will then be able to claim fic/s, to create art for it. The art and fic are then posted together at the end of the period. (read more here)

Everyone, whether you're a writer, artist, beta, or just want to read the fics, is welcome to join our discord, here.
We have been so blown away by the response we've received to our interest form! We're so thrilled to see so many of you are up for another round!
We also want to thank everyone who has reached out over Tumblr and Email about another event being run at the same time.
We are not affiliated with this event, but we are keeping their schedule in mind as we proceed with our own plans so they don't conflict for participants who may want to be involved with both.
Given this, we do need some more time to finalize the details on our future plans as the interest form is still running.
That said we don't want to leave you hanging, we will have a Good Omens theme week taking place the week of November 2nd - November 9th! More info will come later this week.
This theme week will be open to all and has no bearing on your participation in future events.
The theme week will lead up to our announcement of our next iteration of the Good Omens Big Bang!

Ineffably Austen is a low-stress Good Omens event where contributors can be involved as much or as little as they wish.
All types of original creative content inspired by the stories of Jane Austen or the themes of her works are welcome. This includes, but is not limited to, Regency AU, Modern AU, and canon-compliant interpretations.
Let her books inspire your creations. And if that isn't quite enough, or you're unfamiliar with her work, there will be some additional prompts announced very soon.
Fanfiction, fanart, and anything else is welcome, just make sure to tag your creations #IneffablyAusten. On ao3, a collection will go live on March 6th.
I'm starting to draft something for Ineffably Austen, and loving the realisation that writing in the style of Austen means telling my inner editor to STFU. I've just written a run-on sentence that takes up an entire paragraph and includes ten commas, and it's *wonderful* and I'm not going to have to change it 😃
“Not Bad, For A 6000 Year Old Classic!”
So, Crowley can feel whatever is going on in the Bentley, he says? Coming soon, the lovely @drwhoisginnyholmes is still tinkering in the shop with some words on the very subject for the @do-it-with-style-events reverse big bang!
Smol snippet of Jon Hamm reading the Good Omens excerpt at the The Art of Elysium’s 2024 Heaven Gala, 6.1.2024 :) ❤ (I hope we will get it all one day! :) <3)
Jon: From a little story called Good Omens, The Nice and Accurate prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, by Terry Pratchett and our own Neil Gaiman.
The angel waved a hand expansively, if a little unsteadily. "Loads of buggerall, dear boy."
"But it gets there anyway," Crowley persevered.
"How?"
"It doesn't matter!"
"It could use a space ship," said the angel.
Crowley subsided a bit. "Yeah," he said. "If you like. Anyway, this bird—"
"Only it is the end of the universe we're talking about," said Aziraphale. "So it'd have to be one of those space ships where your descendants are the ones who get out at the other end. You have to tell your descendants, you say, When you get to the Mountain, you've got to—" He hesitated.
The fact that Our Flag Means Death is trending at the same time as Good Omens just because GOS2 had the exact same ending as OFMD S1 is absolutely insane behavior

You hear that? Ineffable May is nigh! That’s right— this month long daily prompt event dedicated to Good Omens… is back. Participate using art, writing, cosplay, or any other craft at your disposal.
I haven't really planned and plotted a mid-length piece of fiction before - my writing has been either short stuff under 4k, or a 250k novel. #Ineffablyausten will be my first attempt at something complete in the 50-60k region, and what could be easier for a first attempt than a crossover fic drawing from the plot and characters of two unrelated novels, trying to do justice to both while still being its own thing, written to a nine-week timescale. Totally doable. Totally. I'm sure the large word doc already full of bullet lists, charts, quotes and historical facts won't be a source of procrastination at all.
