oh also culturally fenris would have more in common with dorian than he would with someone like krem, because after he lost his memory, most of his time was spent with danarius and around danarius's high class social circle. it's why he sounds Like That and is generally well-informed on how tevinter is actually ruled. he was actively prevented from learning to read, but he still took in information like a sponge and learned enough qunlat to effectively communicate with native speakers just by hearing it over a short period of time. he didn't spend his time before escaping just plugging his ears and tuning out.

kaz and inej are just the peak of pining. they desperately want intimacy but what stops them from reaching out for it or accepting it is all wrapped up and internal, caused by situations entirely out of their own control, and they're both at a point in their respective recoveries where they have the desire for emotional vulnerability and physical touch but not the ability to tolerate it. and it's all internal shit they barely articulate to themselves, let alone each other.
so you get the over-the-top drama of the two of them consistently risking their physical safety or deep-seated morals for each other, or fucking up in a high stakes situation because they're too busy thinking about each other to concentrate, but also one time kaz touched her bare skin and immediately got so embarrassed he went "I'M GONNA GO DIE NOW DON'T FOLLOW ME" and inej responded by stalking him and spending pages of narration basically saying "god he's so fucking stupid, we're married now".

(ETA: I stuck a read more on this because my #1 post of this year is about darkfic/triggery kink fic lmao anyway proceed)
when we get into conversations of "liking this fictional thing means you support it IRL/want to do it to real people", i immediately get a red flag off the person making that argument.
because, like... i write a LOT of stuff i have no interest in doing IRL. scary stuff, kinky stuff, a lot of super mundane stuff, too. my physical sex life doesn't resemble the smut i write at all, even a little because my boundary between real life and fiction is solid. and it's not like a "oooh i'm so good at resisting temptation" thing, i mean like, i write a lot of oral sex scenes and have zero interest in sucking a dick IRL. i write a lot of dark subject matter and unhealthy relationships, and i'm living in a happy, pretty boring marriage that i wouldn't change for anything.
but someone who goes hard on "you like (noncon/incest fic/idk fucking teacher/student storyllines), you must want to (assault someone/fuck your sibling/bone down with your teacher or student)" stuff, it makes me think that person has a shaky boundary and they're not very safe to be around. i become deeply worried about their impulse control and their ability to contextualize.
i've said it before, but i'd honestly rather spend my time with people who write triggery darkfic but have basic respect for others vs. people with a "good and virtuous" media and fanfic diet who can't shut the fuck up about all those kinks no one is forcing them to read.

It really bothers me when people flood the dash with ooc reblogs of stuff for their muses. Like- please queue all of it so its spread out, it makes scrolling around much less of a pain. (to be clear, none of my mutuals atm do this, ya'll are good)

My first name is Haleigh, and "sloth" is a play on words I guess. It's very close to my actual last name lol

One that was mostly a name saving blog. Haleigh-goth lol. I was gonna use it for halloween but I don't feel like going through the trouble of changing my main URL. I think if I can travel more starting in November like I plan to, I may make it into a travel blog to just keep my pictures and videos.

Oof. I was in 9th grade soooo 2011. With a decent break ranging from 2016/17 to last November, 2020.

Why did you start your blog in the first place?
I started it in 9th grade basically to nerd out. I was into manga and anime and it's what me and my best friends used to express that interest.

I use drawings for my icon to have a unique one that nobody else will have. Even before BNHA. Shigaraki because he's my favorite.
Why did you choose your header?
Again, same reason. It's a drawing. And it's Midoriya and Shigaraki because I love them both, they're my favorite part of the story, and I can't wait for their conclusion.

A post with the panel of Touya ripping at his hair from the spoilers. From waaaay back when 300 came out and we got that glimpse of stressed little Touya.

Oof more than I'm proud of. It passes time when work is dead, it's my "me time" at night after work before bed. So I guess at least two hours of interacting with the website each day.

I think I've argued once or twice. Back when I was just getting into the fandom on here for BNHA. Then I quickly realized that there's only like, 40 or so blogs worth talking to lmao, and that arguing is dumb. I'm gonna post and say what I want, and I encourage other people to do the same on their own blog instead of arguing. Asks prompting discussions are different, but straight up arguing back and forth is dumb.
How do you feel about “you need to reblog this posts”
I ignore them. Half the time I check the comments and the info on the post is faulty, or I just don't find it actually helpful to reblog a fucking post to help a cause.

why did you choose your url?
i just wanted to put an adjective next to the word 'bias', and spookybias had a nice ring to it.
any side blogs? if you have any, name them, and why do you have them?
i have multiple, but they're just url holders and backup blogs in case of an emergency, or if i ever want to change my url (probably won't happen, spookybias is too iconic). the only one that i actively use is @/eerieult, which is where i reblog work from other content creators.
how long have you been on tumblr?
i've been using it since sometime in 2018, but at that time i didn't have a blog. i created this blog december 2019 and was an anon for one of my friends. then june 2020, i started posting.
do you have a queue tag?
not sure what this means. i don't have a tag to let people know that something's been queued, but i do use the queue for reblogs.
why did you start your blog in the first place?
i've been into reading and writing fanfiction since high school. initially, i created my blog just to get better reading access, but i always had fic ideas for numerous fandoms that i was a part of, like marvel, dc, gotham, the gifted, and stranger things. it wasn't until i got into kpop that i actually took the time to make an account somewhere and post my writings.
why did you choose your icon?
she's pretty and i love her feed on instagram. she's one of the few people that isn't continuously used for icons on here and i don't like having layouts similar to other people's so that works out wonderfully.
why did you choose your header?
i wanted something that matched my icon, but also captured the feel of this blog. i want people to think of my blog as a laid-back bakery where they can just read and chat.

1: Why did you choose your url? okay long story! so 3 or 4 years ago i was on my old blog and i was dying for a canon (enough) ahsoka tano url and i found this one. i decided to throw caution to the wind and messaged the saved url and they were so gracious to give it to me! i had this url for 2 years on my other blog then got antsy and changed it 3x before i made this new blog. i was trying out old urls for a while now and then i just wanted something comfortable and familiar so i brought this one back! it also reminds me of how much i love ahsoka tano.
2: Any side blogs? kinda! i have @jamiemadrox for comic book edits and then i’m a part of (but don’t own or admin) tvcentric and starwarsblr
3: How long have you been on tumblr? ya’ll really gonna ask me this? lol um....i think it was mid or late 2008 because i got onto tumblr for bbc merlin lol

5: Why did you start your blog in the first place? well originally eons ago was for merlin and to post the livejournal-esque graphics i made for my original stories. i took a break for a year or two and when i came back on the original mastertano i was brought back by “the gifted” on fx and here i’ve stayed (well, with a blog move lol).
6: Why did you choose your icon/pfp? i love sylvie more than life itself and @perfectopposite is one of my favorite icon makers so it was a no brainer to use one of her icons!
7: Why did you choose your header? it’s probably one of my favorite shots in 12 monkeys, especially when i think of jennifer/deacon and it just makes me really happy. i love hugs 🥺

Various tutorials on here and just by experimenting. I don’t even think I used Photoshop to begin with, since back in my Neopets days I used Paint Shop Pro to make graphics so I think that’s what I used first to try making gifs of videos.

45 minutes to an hour or so?? It’s been taking longer and longer because the screencaps are so huge though and my poor laptop can’t handle it.
15. Have you ever had gifs stolen and reposted
Yes, and don’t think that I can’t tell when those are my gifs, even without a watermark!!

Since 2011...... my god

I’m gonna say this one again because I was so proud of it when I made it, and I can’t believe I used to put that much effort into my gifs.

I have a routine, as described above. My gifs are pretty much all made the same way as I describe in my colouring tutorial too.

Usually a mixture of both. I like to try to gif a different Doctor each day, so I’ll know who I have in mind but I’m not planning on a specific episode. I’ll just open up one of their series and go from there!
37. What sets if any do you have planned to make in the future
Idk, I was thinking of doing yet another gifset with Donna in it since I just finished her Big Finish series... but maybe I’ll do one with Eleven and the Ponds??? We’ll see.

Never!! I love seeing how my gifs have slowly changed and improved over time.

Because it’s fun, and it’s a way for me to relax after a long and busy day at work.

When it takes forever for my screencaps to load, and when it takes forever for my gifs to save sometimes

I keep the episodes forever, but honestly I think I keep everything forever because I forget about getting rid of the other stuff like trailers and interviews... I should go through my downloads folder.

I’ve had people use my gifs as reaction gifs and it is a weird feeling, especially seeing the gifs being used on websites other than tumblr. I remember seeing one of my gifs used in someone’s book review on Goodreads and I was like “WAIT THAT LOOKS FAMILIAR!!”

Not really hate, but I do get a lot people that are like “WHERE IS ______?” in their tags. And sometimes I just want to be like “Make your own gifs if you think they should be there!!!”

Don’t give up!! Make gifs of whatever makes you happy, don’t worry about the notes too much, and use your tags! KEEP PRACTICING!

Another week is ending, another replies post is here. Why is it that when there’s a million deadlines waiting for me, time just gets faster? I miss the old days when I had nothing to do. Kinda.
Remember when I rambled a lot in these posts before getting to the actual replies? I have nothing to say this time, other than Roses are coming back (which you’ve probably already noticed). I’m kinda sad to see gen 2 of NSB is truly coming to an end now (in my game, it’s been over for a few months). It was definitely an era and I want to thank everyone who’s been here for this crazy ride. It seems to me like you all enjoyed it way more than I expected. I hope you’ll stay and well, we’ll see them again in a few months. This time, Sunset will be in the spotlight.

tagged by @piiess, @narglestudies, @orangeblossomstudies, and many many many others! i can’t find all the other ones that i was tagged in, but i know i was tagged in a bunch of them these past few months and i never got around to doing them ahhh i’m sorry ;; and hoooo boy, it’s been a while since the last time i’ve done a tag on here. hopefully answering these 33 questions will help you all get to know me a little better!

1. who do you stan and why?
you guys already know that i stan bang chan from stray kids, so i’m gonna talk about someone else. i stan iu (lee jieun)! she’s so pure and gentle, and her vocals are so amazing and heavenly. she’s basically how i imagine what an angel sounds like. it would truly be an honor to meet her someday!
2. how are you today?
i’m alright! i got up kinda late today lol. not much has happened aside from eating breakfast and lunch, watching youtube videos, and setting up my queue for my blogs. now i’m answering these questions!
3. your regular order at the café?
i’ve actually never been to a cafe before, but i’ve been to a few boba places! i either get an ice cream green tea, or a matcha latte. for both, i get 50% sugar, no ice (the drink is usually already cold), boba, and soymilk if it’s available.
4. mint ice cream, yay or nay?
yay, if it’s made well.
5. recommend a place to visit if i were to travel to your state/country?
aside from disneyland, uhhh...come visit my school? ahaha idk. i’d be happy to be your tour guide! afterwards, we can go to daiso since it’s only 2 blocks away from campus, hehe. ^_^

no, i have not. yes, i would love to! there’s this shiba cafe in japan that i really wanna visit someday. :’)
9. opinion about minimalism?
it’s good, and i’m slowly working towards it. you can probably tell in my original content that i usually like to keep things pretty simple and minimal!
10. how is your workspace like?
the other day, i had 5 bottles on my desk with varying levels of water lmao. but now i’ve cleaned them out and put them away, and now my desk is pretty clean and organized! i wanna change up the photos on my wall, though.
11. if you had a superpower/magic, what would it be? and would you become a hero, a villain, or a normal person who use their power in daily life (like… you had magic and you use that to do your housework or sth bc you’re too lazy lol)
i’d like to be able to freeze time! i’m not sure how it would be useful as a hero, so i’d probably stay as a normal person and use it in my daily life. i’d like to have more time to get things done, ahaha.

7. how do you stay productive during the summer?
this summer, i’m studying for the gre, picking up japanese again, and practicing violin for my upcoming audition in august. and of course, i’m also working on some new living room sessions, which will be posted soon!
8. an interesting fact about yourself?
i used to do ballet, tap dancing, and gymnastics! unfortunately, now i’m no longer as flexible as i used to be ;;
