Today's dnd session was so cool I just got home and had to draw something about how it ended before going to sleep

#ughh this was such a cool session #it was on the middle of an autumn festival and well #things happened and went downhill #we got ambushed at our own house and one of our party members almost died #turns out that while ivy is treating their ALMOST lethal wounds she reveals that she made contact with some really shady SHADY guys and wel #they either wanna make her pay the debt or straight up get rid of her #TURNS OUT THESE GUYS WERE THE ONES BEHIND ALL THE OTHER THINGS WE WENT THROUGH #AND HERE I AM #I STOPPED HEALING HER BECAUSE OF THIS AND IM GOING TO ASK FOR ANSWERS TO THE HIGHER UPS OF THIS SCHOOL BECAUSE MY FRIEND ALMOST DIED #ANOTHER FRIEND ALSO MADE A SHADY CONTACT WITH THESE GUYS AND I HAVE NO MOUTH BUT I MUST SCREAM #god this session was so so good #shiky draws #ivy #my art #dnd #strixhaven

listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.

I hope they make twelve of these motherfuckers.

Imagine at especially hard working day Jin-Chul kinda inviting Jin-Woo for a drink not knowing that Jin-Woo literally can’t get drunk.

And so Jin-Chul actually loses track of how much he had and becomes drunk and Jin-Woo has a first seat to witness other side of Jin-Chul. Man is just being a sleepy mumbling drunk that shares some information about his own life as well as honest opinions and Jin-Woo finds it absolutely hilarious and adorable.

Jin-Chul not remembering what he does when he’s that drunk so he just assumes Jin-Woo also doesn’t remember until someone or Jin-Woo himself informs him that he legit can’t get drunk and that yes he remembers every drinking session and Jin-Chul either wants to fall underground or yeet out of closest window out of sheer embarrassment.
