Sanji never celebrated his birthday when he was a kid, quite obviously. At least not in a regular way and not with his siblings. But he did visit his mom at the hospital, tried to make the best of cakes (because she always asked him to) and blew out the candles right in front of her wishing and wishing and wishing for her to get better. For them to have a happy ending. Sora always said that if he wished hard enough, it would come true.
It didn't. But Sanji knew, even at a young age, deep inside, that it wouldn't.
So he starts living with Zeff and his birthday is not something he sees worth celebrating. But the man asks him about it one day and the date March 2th is written all over his face when he tries to find an excuse to not tell him. And it's alright, he guesses, because at the end of the day Zeff isn't that big on birthdays either.
The kid has it rough on that day when it first comes, and Zeff doesn't know what to do. What to gift him. He doesn't know how kids his age behave and what they like. Especially since Sanji is not a regular kid. So for his 10th birthday, Zeff tells him he's going to teach him how to bake a proper cake. That makes Sanji extremely happy, somehow. He is not a normal kid, but he sure is a cook. So there isn't a party or eccentric gifts, but there is cake.
Zeff starts giving him proper gifts when he turns fifteen. Sixteen. Seventeen. Ties and suits and shoes and every pretty thing his son has mentioned he liked ever since he saw a very rich businessman walking into the Baratie dressing like that with a woman hugging his side. "It's gentleman's attire! You wouldn't get it!" and look, if the kid wants his snob suits, Zeff won't complain. They have more than enough money for shit like that.
They have a real birthday party when he turns eighteen. And he's all grown and pissed about how he could've made the cake better in his own and acting like an ungrateful brat. But he smiles. Widely and brightly and Zeff couldn't love him more.
So it's not like Sanji hates his birthday... But he doesn't tell the crew about it. He gets sad and weird and in an on and off mode. He doesn't want them to make a big deal out of it and he knows they probably will. He won't stop thinking about his mom, either. So he avoids the crew a little bit too much on that day.
And Usopp notices he's acting weird, because how could he not? Sanji has been oddly quiet and polite to everyone in a gloomy, nostalgic way. Everybody is worried and Luffy tries to cheer him up, but it only ends up bothering Sanji more, from Usopp's perspective. The sniper tries not to be clingy because he knows his boyfriend and he knows that if he's in one of his sad moods, affection will only make him sadder. So he stays next to him, but not too close. Enough to see Sanji smile now and then.
The day goes on and it's time to go to bed, but Usopp notices Sanji is still in the kitchen and decides to change his night shift with Franky because he really, really needs to stay awake to look after him. He refuses to invade his privacy and space, so he just stays close to the kitchen in case he gets out.
But curiosity killed the cat, and he's also extremely concerned. So he decides to look inside.
He sees Sanji, sitting down at the dining table with a tiny, little cupcake and a candle. He's holding a picture Usopp knows well because Sanji keeps it in a tiny treasure chest inside his locker. His mom. And he smiles apologetically. "Sorry it couldn't be a real cake, mom. I wasn't that much in the mood? But hey! I- I improved, didn't I?" Usopp can't see his face that clearly, but he knows, from the tone of his voice, that he's probably about to cry. "I wish- I wish you were here. I'm twenty-two now! You said you liked that number, right? It does look like a duck, after all."
He keeps talking, but Usopp closes the door gently without Sanji noticing. Shit.
It might not be the best idea, but Usopp decides to leave him a little thing under the door. A note wishing him a happy birthday and some flowers. The note also has a drawing of two ducks in it.
The next day, the first thing Sanji tells him when he wakes up (Usopp noticing the flowers placed on a glass vase and the edge of his note sticking out of that same treasure chest from before) is: "Hey, love, would you- Would you like to try and bake a cake with me? It'd be fun."
And Usopp couldn't smile wider even if he tried.

Can I request Zoro, Luffy and Sanji reacting to their partner having an allergic reaction, like it’s so bad they can’t breathe. Perhaps it’s a new dish sanji had made and their partner didn’t know they were allergic to something in the dish until now. :D
a/n - this is supposed to be serious but if you know me I can’t be serious with one piece characters most of the time 😭 sorry anon but there’s crack in zoro’s and luffy’s💀🫶
Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, reader has allergies, crack (zoro and Luffy’s part)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- lunch is Luffy’s favorite time of the day, nothing can stop him from eating lunch (it’s important to have 5 meals a day obviously 💀)
- there’s breakfast, breakfast 2, lunch, after-lunch meal, dinner, and then dessert (there’s like two deserts but he doesn’t think it counts as a meal)
- today, Sanji decided to use a sea king Luffy absolutely destroyed (it tried to steal his breakfast, rip sea king)
- it looked a bit sketchy, but Sanji can cook anything and make it taste good-
- but even as he was cooking it, the smell of it that filled the sunny made you a bit woozy, causing you to become quite fatigued
- luffy was too focused on how excited he was to eat it, so he didn’t notice your symptoms. He was literally drooling all over the poor sunny. it was gross asf
- bro couldn’t wait so he ate the ladle Sanji was smacking him with 💀💀💀💀💀
- “LUFFY SPIT OUT THE LADLE I NEED IT.” -Sanji
- “I GOT A SPLINTER IN MY THROAT AGSJBSISBDJFNC-“ -luffy (he’s choking on the wood)
- “LUFFY NOOO-” -chopper
- when the time finally came to eat, you were only starting to feel worse, that stench of the meat was making you even more nauseated than before
- you had started to cough more frequently, having a constant itch in your throat that just wouldn’t go away
- “Are you alright y/n?” -robin (shes so caring 😭🫶)
- “I’m ok robin- thank you.”
- you tried playing it off as nothing, but it was getting hard to breathe, your vision becoming blurry as you sat down next to Luffy at the table
- you tried to take a bite, barely being able to swallow it, struggling to get the food down
- “Y/n.. Do you not like it?” -Sanji
- you stared down at your hands, and you noticed that little red dots had started to form on your knuckles, spreading down your wrists
- you couldn’t breathe.
- “Y/n…? Helloooo?” -luffy
- he tried waving his hand in front of your face, but you ended up passing out onto the table face first
- “OH MY GOD Y/N DIED.” -luffy bro you suck 💀💀💀
- chopper immediately rushed over, having to literally shove Luffy away from you so he could inspect you
- cue Luffy running around in circles freaking out about how you died in front of him (like ace)
- “IM SUCH A BAD BOYFRIEND I LET Y/N DIE IN FRONT OF ME-“
- it turned out you were allergic to this specific type of sea king, and chopper managed to give you some medicine to help you feel better
- Sanji kept apologizing, making sure that he would never cook this again in the future
- “ARE YOU OK Y/N?! HOW MANY FINGERS AM I HOLDING UP?” -luffy (he’s holding four fingers up but this dumbass can’t count)
- “Four.” -you
- “CHOPPER Y/N’S DYING SHE THINKS IM HOLDING UP 4 FINGERS AGSOWBDOSNDJNFOXNC-“
- omfg Luffy pls 😭
- you love this guy but he’s dumb af
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Sanji absolutely adores cooking for you, he’d do it every minute if you wanted 🫶
- he practically knows every single dish you like by heart, and can recite all your favorite fruits and vegetables
- he always loves making new recipes for you to try, you’re his most trusted taste tester! (It’s not luffy- bro would eat the food and the plate too so he’s disqualified)
- today, he wanted to try a new take on some foreign food items he got from the market
- he hadn’t ever seen these before, but he had a knack for knowing which things would be delicious and rich in nutrients
- ever since the smell of the food traveled onto the sunny, you noticed that it was harder to take deep, full breaths.. but maybe it was just because the air was thin
- it didn’t go away. It only continued to worsen as Sanji kept cooking
- soon you started to cough, and have shortness of breath
- Sanji quickly stopped smoking, thinking that perhaps it was because of him. And he took you outside for a moment for you to get some fresh air
- your symptoms just wouldn’t go away! Irritatingly lingering around like some insect
- the time came to test out the new food, and your cough had worsened, your heartbeat racing from your lungs struggling to breathe
- it tasted good.. But the moment it traveled down your throat, you could feel it closing, as if your airways were completely blocked
- Sanji noticed it right away, and ran off in a panic to get chopper, supporting you from behind as chopper inspected your throat
- Sanji didn’t know what to do.. He wasn’t a doctor. But he knew he had to do whatever he could to make you feel better. He hated seeing you in pain!
- his hands carefully held you up as he allowed you to rest against his chest. Chopper confirmed that it was a severe allergic reaction to the food… And Sanji couldn’t believe that he was the one that caused this
- he immediately made Luffy scarf the food down to get it away from you, and made a mental note to get mad at the merchant that sold him the meat later (anything for y/n 🫶🫶)
- he did whatever he could to make you feel better.. Water? He’s already got it. Take you to bed? Of course! A nice blanket? You don’t even have to ask
- he felt so guilty! He never meant to make you have an allergic reaction like that.. He kept apologizing- over and over
- “Y/n- I’m so sorry.. I didn’t know you were allergic to that. I swear I’ll never cook it again, do you need anything? Water? I’ll get it for you! I’m sorry- you don’t have to forgive me- it’s completely my fault.”
- poor guy was ranting about how he doesn’t deserve you anymore 😭
- you had to reassure the man that it was alright, and that you turned out to be alright in the end!
- “No but seriously please don’t cook that again I think I almost died.” -you
- “IM SORRY Y/N IM SO SORRY-“ -Sanji
- bro is literally on his knees begging for forgiveness 💀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- zoro’s solution to anything health related would either be to sleep, drink, or take a shit
- stomach hurts? Take a shit
- feeling stressed? Take a shit
- need a break? Take a shit (copyrighted by zoro)
- he’s a tough guy, and he’s not very smart sometimes 💀
- but you love the marimo nonetheless 🫶
- he had just finished his 29th fight with Sanji today, and it was right on time for lunch
- you were amazed by how Sanji could argue and still try to kick zoro’s head off at the same time
- today, you felt oddly stiff and uncomfortable, were you getting sick?
- you didn’t start feeling under the weather until Sanji started cooking lunch… But you didn’t pay attention to that, you tried to press on and bare through it with a grin
- it got harder and harder, and your head started hurting next.
- “Your head hurts? Did you shit today?” -zoro
- “What the fuck does my shit have to do with my head zoro?”
- he’s dumb just leave him be
- of course he’s concerned for you, he just doesn’t know how to help you 👍
- he continued eating his lunch, and you managed to take a bite of yours after a couple minutes of mustering up the strength
- you couldn’t breathe
- you started panicking, grabbing zoro’s arm to tell him something’s wrong. This wasn’t just a cold- this was something BAD
- “Y/n? What the hell? You look horrible rn-“ -zoro (did he just insult you 😭)
- he finally realized that something was really wrong- and he started freaking out-
- he started slapping your back to try and get you to spit out the food- he thought you were maybe choking
- “Y/N? ARE YOU CHOKING? STOP CHOKING.” -zoro (wow zoro you’re so helpful 💀💀💀)
- you thought he’d be helpful? Yeah nah 😭
- bro was literally abusing your poor back, you swore he broke some kind of muscle back there
- chopper ran over, quickly inspecting you before deducing that it was an allergic reaction to the food
- “What the hell’s an allergy??” -zoro
- “It’s when people’s bodies don’t like a certain object or thing- it makes them cough or sneeze and maybe even does what it did to y/n.” -chopper
- Mosshead is so confused right now (he’s never been sick 💀)
- You started feeling better after chopper gave you some medicine to clear your system of the food.. And thank god- you felt so much better than before
- “Y/n you could’ve just shit out the food.” -zoro
- “I CANT SHIT ON COMMAND YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER-“

What's More Goth Than Dating The Dead?: Brook X Goth!Reader

It's Brook so he obviously asks to see panties
______________________________
Brook POV
It was a peaceful day on the Sunny, Zoro was napping, the girls were reading, Sanji was cooking, Usopp was playing some sort of game with Chopper, Franky was building something new for the ship, and I played a calm melody on my violin to go with today's mood. We had docked on an island about three days ago to restock, we were now packed and ready to leave but we're waiting for the orders from our captain Luffy who was still on the island exploring, so the crew got a peaceful moment before Luffy came back and we were to set sail again.
Suddenly the captain burst into he ship with excitement, "Guys guys!!!! I found a new member to join us while exploring the island!!!" Luffy exclaimedas a new person walked onto the ship. I put down my violin to look at this new person and it was like time had stopped. Her dark and mysterious makeup, her elegant clothing, her plump curves... My god she was magnificent. At this point I had blocked out anything Luffy was saying and only focused on the beauty of this new member. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Luffy calling out my name, "Brook! Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" "Ah yes, I will do so now." I wallke dover to the new recruit and bowed while tipping my hat, "It is lovely to meat you dear, I am Brook the ships musician." She bowed back, "Delighted to meet you, I would've joined faster if I knew a musical skeleton was on this ship~" I chuckled and stood back up, "You know, I have this certain tradition whenever I meet a beautiful woman such as yourself." Once I said that, the crew was already telling me to stop, "Oh a tradition? What is this tradition you have with women?" the crew was begging me to stop at this point but I persisted, "Yes, I must always ask women this question whenever I meet them. It is of the upmost importance!" "Oh? What is this very important question?" I bent down to their eye level and asked, "May I see your panties?" the crew let out a audible groan and see were getting ready to hit me. I braced myself for the newcomer to hit me or yell at me with harsh words but instead I was met with the angelic sound of her laugh. We were all shocked and looked at her confused and she gently patted my cheek bone, "You've got some real guts for a skeleton, it's actually kinda cute~" I froze and the crew gasped. No shouting? No kick across the skull? She actually... Complimented me. If I had skin right now, I'd be redder than a tomato! She spoke again which snapped me out of my thoughts, "But you're gonna have to try harder than that to see anything~"
I cleared my throat and got up, "Why yes of course, I understand. In fact I think a proper courting ritual is is required!" I suggested thinking I would be rejected, but instead she smiled and held out her hand, "If it's a courting ritual you thinks is best, then a courting ritual it will be." Shocked again, I took her hand in mine and brought it up to my face, pressing my teeth against her knuckles and making a kissing sound since I have no lips. We looked at each other again, a certain spark between us now. I swear I will not mess up this courting ritual, I will impress this beautiful woman and she'll be mine!
Crew POV
Nami: Did this... Actually just happen?
Usopp: This feels like a weird fever dream
Robin: I feel like I've just seen history been made.
Sanji: DID THE SKELETON SERIOUSLY GET A GIRLFRIEND BEFORE ME?!?!!!

Like I said, just something short and sweet this week, next week I'll definitely post something longer.

This took me a long time to get to again because Robin deserves the world and this request hit me in the fluffy feels. I hope it is fluffy enough and you enjoy it Lovely!
Nico Robin x Male Reader
Warnings: Nothing but pure fluff! (My grammar may suck but as always- My excuse is that I am tired :’))
Words: 1408
“Shall we head back soon?” You ask the stunning woman before you.
She looks at you with a small smile before looking back at the Poneglyph. It is the third Historical Poneglyh you have found together since you have been partnered up, and, in all honesty, you wished that this journey to find them would go slower. You enjoyed your time with Robin, and she has stated multiple times that she enjoyed your company as well.
You are not like the other males on the ship. You have a completely different personality and one that she thinks matches her quite well. In a way, you were the perfect gentleman in her eyes from how fond of you she was. You are definitely in a special spot in her heart. The female would love to take things even further with you since it was just a teensy bit obvious you are attracted to her but she wanted things on your terms so she is waiting for you to make the move.
As for you, it made you feel alive with the intellectual stimulation you received when engaging with her but even more so when you realized that these feelings were more than what a friend should feel. At first, you saw her as a really good friend. Someone who is on the calm side that you needed to befriend out of all the chaotic members of the crew. Then slowly you started to realize how cool she was. How she is really such a great woman. Somewhere along the way, you realized that you loved to look at her. She really is gorgeous so how could you not?
But not only her looks were a part of this. Her personality was to die for. She genuinely cared for the crew and would even go out of her way to make sure everyone was safe and sound when out on adventures. She had dark humor that you thought was cute when others found it creepy. She was just a genuine person who finally became true to herself when joining the crew and it was endearing. You loved how she flourished and showed her true side to you and the others.
That is when the attraction set in and when you realized you enjoyed finding out other neat things about her. Like how she twirls a strand of her hair when she gets too into a book or the way she lets her scorching hot tea sit for exactly two minutes before she sips on it.
She really became important to you and this trip to find Poneglyphs is just making you realize how you yearn for more, of course, with her consent. Which is why you have been taking things slow and not shoving your feelings onto her.
“Yeah, let’s head back. We do not want to be here when it gets too dark. I hear there are mysterious blood thirsty creatures in this area,” Robin states with that cute smile on her face.
Another thing you loved dearly. How she is able to smile after stating something that should terrify you to the bone.
Nodding to her, you both start heading back to where your crew is camped out on the island. It was a pretty interesting find that Nami and Usopp had found out. That this island that travels- Goes to exactly four different islands and they stick together to make one whole one for two weeks. The rumors of Poneglyphs being hidden on these islands turned out to be true and hopefully useful information for your voyage.
If not, you enjoyed your time with Robin, so it was a win-win situation either way.
Upon returning to the campsite- Robin and you become immediately circled by the terrifying orange-haired girl. Nami is relentless in making you hand over the photos already- Determined to see the evidence of the Poneglyphs and have Robin relay the information since she is the only one who can possibly read them.
“What the hell are these?” Nami questions as irritation reeks from her voice.
Uh-oh. It is aimed at you.
Before you can possibly ask what is wrong, Sanji pops over ready to fight you for Nami’s honor. That is until his eyes land on the photos from the polaroid camera. He picks them up and his hearts move to turn into hearts as he thanks you for your photography ability.
Confusion envelops you and you take a photo back only for your face to feel rather warm… All the photos… Are focused on Robin. Sure, the Poneglyphs are in there so it was not a failed mission but- Robin is literally the focus of every photo. Oh god.
Embarrassment is real here as you look away. Nami is yelling up a storm while Sanji is happy with the outcome because the photos really do show Robin’s natural beauty and even better- Her fascination with the Poneglyph. She looks so happy to be reading the ancient writing and it makes you happier to have caught her in such an unguarded moment.
“What is the problem with the photos?” Robin asks making your face feel warmer.
Her eyes land on them and a smile forms as she sees the problem. Thankfully, she has mercy on you as she makes Nami cool down. “Do not worry Miss Navigator. I can still read them just fine like this. How did your job and the boys’ go?”
You seem to be out of Nami’s head now and thankfully that means you will not suffer her wrath. However, the new problem was when you saw the way Robin looked at you. In two simple words: She knows.
Nami lets out a defeated sigh as she answers, “Terrible. We found clues to the hidden treasure on one of the islands but then Zoro got lost and then Luffy went to go find him and got lost! I am so lucky that Usopp and Franky were there with me.”
You start to tune out since it appears it is all the same shenanigans the crew has put Nami through. It is all entertaining but after your long hike with Robin you do feel tuckered out. Your slight anxiety about how to explain to her why she is the main focus of the photo seems to be gone since she saved you from Nami so now sleep is the only thing on your mind.
As you prepare for bed- You do not realize that something of yours goes missing.
~*~
The next morning is just as chaotic as usual now that Luffy and the others are up and trying to fight over breakfast. Your nerves feel a bit on fire today from having to go out with Robin again but this time even if you are a bit embarrassed you feel ready to tell her how you feel.
That is until you hear her voice call out to you. “(Name), are you ready? This should be the last Poneglyph we can find,” She murmurs.
You nod your head unable to say anything and she gives a knowing smile before also adding, “Oh. Do not forget your camera. I put it in your bag.”
What? When did she have your camera? Not that you mind, you just do not remember handing it to her. You reach for your bag only to stop upon opening it. Your face feels like it is on fire yet again but this time not out of embarrassment but from happiness.
In your bag besides the camera (that Robin did steal last night) were simple photos of her smiling. She took quite a few and even some of the other crewmembers when you were sleeping last night. Your heart is hammering hard against your chest as you realize she did this for you so you can have photos focused on her with nothing else in the way. Though the thought is appreciated- You know on your last hike today that you will still manage to focus on her instead of the Poneglyph.
The thought does not last long as your brain seems to go in shock when the woman slides her fingers in between yours and tugs you along. You squeeze her hand and she gives you that stunning smile and you realize- You really do not need to convey your feelings to her because as you thought last night, she knows. She knows them and accepts them.

A boring Saturday
I had dreadful writers block and it especially didn’t help with this pairing; I struggle to write them romantically at the best of times.
Also, bad news, I am currently no longer chapters ahead of myself. I was holding off from posting this to see if I could get ahead but figured I’d made you wait long enough. So, we’ll see how that goes…
Summary: They were going to need each other if they wanted to survive education. A-level/School AU. LuNami.
Rating: K.
This can also be found on AO3 and FFN
Previous chapters: 1, 2, 3
Anyway, enjoy.
--------------------------
“Nami, I’m bored.” Luffy said, laying down of the grass and picking at the grass next to him.
“So you’ve said.” She said absently, engrossed in the book she was reading as she turned the page. It was just starting to get good.
Luffy had been texting her and was apparently unimpressed by her slow responses, so he showed up uninvited. It wasn’t anything new. But he wasn’t doing anything different now to what he was doing in his texts, except she couldn’t ignore him now.
She’d been in her garden, enjoying the beautiful Saturday weather before she’d been rudely interrupted. Although, to her glee, he’d gone quiet. She’d have to use this opportunity whilst she could. Don’t get her wrong, she enjoyed Luffy’s company and he was easily one of her closest friends, but sometimes the peace was nice, especially as that’s all she’d planned for today.
“Woah! Look at this.”
Ah, so that’s why he’d gone quiet. He’d taken to wandering around her garden whilst she was distracted and had stopped to snoop through her shed. In it he’d found one of her old water pistols she’d had when she was younger. To be fair, it was impressive and when she was younger, she’d loved it.
“I bet this still shoots well.”
She didn’t like the look on his face. It gleamed with bad intentions. “No.”
Hi face fell. “Wha? But-”
“You are not shooting that at me.” She cut him off, sending him an unimpressed look.
“Obviously! That’s no fun if you don’t have a weapon either. Did your sister not have one too?” He turned, not waiting for her response to continue digging. She didn’t get the chance to confirm, he triumphantly turned around and thrust the second one into the air. “Yes!”
She sighed, putting down her book and looked at him more seriously now. Reading would definitely be out the window now that he’d found those. She looked around her garden, seriously questioning whether it could take Luffy’s rampaging. It definitely wasn’t big enough and she’d have to keep him far away from Bell-mère’s orange grove.
“Your place isn’t big enough, let’s go to mine!” It’s like he read her mind sometimes. Although she doubted that they had to same reasoning behind the suggestion. “There’s more places to hide too! Ooooooh, let’s invite everyone else!”
Places to hide? This was starting to sound extreme. Surely this was just supposed to be a bit of fun, everyone ran around and got wet and that was it.
“It’s worth asking, but I don’t know if everyone will have water pistols.”
.
.
.
Everyone had water pistols. She was expecting rounds or that someone couldn’t come. Anyone who didn’t own a pistol was supplied one by Usopp. Apparently, he plays with some of the kids on his road. So here they were, stood in a circle going through the rules. Her hunch about it being an extreme water pistol fight had been correct, but then with this group, she shouldn’t be surprised.
It’d escalated from just running around with a water pistol to someone suggesting they add food colouring to the water and wear white tops so they could determine a winner at the end. Everyone’s competitive spirit was brimming to the surface with that suggestion. They’d split off into two groups to go into town to gather supplies, one group tasked with getting different food colours and the other to get some cheap white tops. Luffy had gone with the group to get food colours from the supermarket, so naturally they came back with ice lollies.
With little variation on the food colours, they’d used the lolly sticks to decide on groups, colouring the ends to determine who would be paired with who. There was uproar about there being a group of three, but Robin had made a very good point that it came with both advantages and disadvantages. The group of three would have an extra fighter but would also be at a higher risk of losing with having another person to shoot at.
Nami looked around the group, calculating who she wanted to be in a team with. Luffy or Zoro would be good, both great fighters and hated to lose. Sanji was just as good and he would also protect her from being shot at, he was already shouting about how he would throw himself in front of her and Robin. Robin would be a good pick; the woman was sneaky. Actually, as she looked around, probably any of them would be good.
Okay, she was wrong.
“You take the lead and I’ll back you up!” Usopp exclaimed.
“How am I stuck with the coward?” Nami said to herself, pondering her poor luck as they huddled behind a garden table that they’d turned on its side.
Once the groups had been announced, everyone had taken cover in their teams to discuss a strategy before starting.
There was her and Usopp. Sanji and Brook. Franky, Robin and Chopper. Zoro and Luffy. Nami’s eyes narrowed, the last group was definitely the most dangerous combination.
“You’re no better!” Usopp said, outraged and pointing a finger at her accusingly.
Nami ignored him. “Sanjiiii, you wouldn’t let me get shot, would you?” She called, looking over at him and pouting cutely.
The reaction was instant. “Of course not, my lovely swan! I’ll shoot those who so dare to shoot at you or Robin. I’ll even use my own body to shield you if I must, a worthy way to lose.”
Brook’s head popped over from their cover. “But Sanji, water makes a white top go see through…”
Both of them had a perverted look on their face, no doubt imagining what would happen.
Nami rolled her eyes, trust the two of them to think of that, that had to be the worst team in this match. Brook was a lost cause, but Sanji’s odd chivalry will surely save her. “Sanjiii,” she called, drawing his attention back on her and making sure to flutter her eyelashes. Any of his previous thoughts were thrown out the window and he continued his previous shouting about protecting the girls.
“Sanji, me too!” Usopp shouted over her shoulder. It snapped Sanji out of his spouting and shouted at Usopp that he had to save himself.
Any further discussion was cut off as Luffy ran across the garden, declaring war and shooting at anyone he could see in his sight.
Everyone scrambled after that, plan or no plan.
.
.
.
It was carnage. Everyone was running around screaming, either from being chased or being shot at with freezing cold water.
It’d started off well enough. Sanji had kept his word and although he was supposed to be on a different team, he might as well have been paired with Nami and Robin. He shot at anyone who came close or dove in front of them to take the damage. There was so way his team would be winning. However, as soon as Zoro had goaded him, he was a lost cause. They were exclusively shooting at each other now and Nami was glad they’d all decided to wear glasses, if not, she was sure that’s where they’d both be aiming right now.
Usopp had pretty much abandoned her once Luffy had started, he’d legged it up a tree. Although she had no ground cover, he at least snipped people from high up and from what she could see, he still had a relatively white top. She’d had a similar idea and had been slinking about, hiding behind whatever she could. They could win if they carried on like this.
Just as she peered around the bench, she locked eyes with Luffy. Oh god. No. Not him. Maybe if she stayed still, he wouldn’t see her… because apparently Luffy was now a t-rex.
His smile slowly grew, until it was splitting across his face and he slowly started to walk towards her. Similar to the way a lion stalked towards an unsuspecting gazelle.
Except she was aware of him. It was only a split second later and she was pushing the bench towards him in hopes of slowing him down as she took off across the garden. Luffy hot on her heels and cackling.
“No! Go and chase someone else Luffy!” Nami screeched, zip zagging to avoid the water spraying behind her.
“Look at your nice white top!” He cooed back at her. His was a rainbow of different colours, a clear indication of how many fights he’d recklessly been in before pursuing her.
She led him past the tree where Usopp was stationed but he didn’t even blink as he was sprayed, still intent on getting his prey. She could hear him gaining on her, his feet thumping on the grass and laughter drawing closer as she was running out of steam.
Daring a glance behind her shoulder she shrieked, he was so much closer than Nami had expected. She needed to do something and quickly. Without giving it much thought, she turned on her heel suddenly, just dodging Luffy bumping into the back of her and sprinting past him in the opposite direction. She even managed to get a quick spray in as she ran past him. He was laughing at her bold move, gathering his wits and taking off after her again. Perhaps if she did this for long enough, he’d run out of water and she could get him.
That didn’t happen. Luffy wasn’t looking where he was going, too focused on her and tripped over the bench she’d pushed over when he’d started chasing her. Nami looked back just in time to see him go down and instead of checking he was okay; she ran up to him and started to spray him mercilessly with her water pistol.
She was giggling madly, delighted at the turn of events. Luffy joined her and rolled onto his front, soaking her pristine top. Nami didn’t even care at this point, lost in the joy of getting the better of the boy on the floor.
To prevent him getting up, she put her foot on his chest. “Yield!” She panted out, between her breathless giggles.
“Never!” Even though his water was getting on him too from firing upwards. But he didn’t seem to care.
Nami was a mess. Her face was red from the combination of running and laughing, her hair sticking to together in clumps from the water. But she had the brightest smile on her face, eyes filled with mirth at her relentless attack on Luffy.
She almost stopped spraying Luffy when she caught the look on his face, she’d never seen that expression on his face before.
Before she could voice her concern, Luffy interrupted, “You look so pretty.”
The spray from her pistol stopped and she gaped at him, not expecting such blunt words. Considering how red Nami’s face was already, she could still feel the flush extending down her neck. In all her time of knowing Luffy, had he ever acknowledged someone’s looks? Her mouth kept opening and closing, completely lost for words. Luffy didn’t look phased at all, he just continued to smile up at her and somehow that only made it worse. She never did get the chance to respond as another voice interrupted their moment.
“What the hell is going on?” A voice boomed.
All nine teenagers in the back garden froze. Their heads snapping towards the back door of the house to see a flabbergasted Garp standing there. In all the madness and noise, no one had heard his car pull into the drive or him shouting out Luffy’s name to see if he was home. It was only as Garp made it through the house that he could hear shrieking and made his way towards the noise.
“Gramps! …. Uhhh…” Nami hadn’t moved her foot from his chest, still frozen, and Luffy was currently looking at his Grandad upside down.
Garp looked around the garden, it was like a warzone. Garden furniture thrown around, plants and bushes trampled. All nine of them still gaping at him, trying to figure out what his reaction would be.
It wasn’t hard for him to work out what was going on, all of them holding water pistols and sopping wet. His grandson currently trapped underneath a girl he hadn’t met yet. Was this the Nami that he’d heard so much about? She was pretty; Luffy had good taste. Especially as she’d seemed to best him too, a difficult feat for someone like his grandson.
He slowly grinned. “So, who won?”
Suddenly, everyone came alive. Shouting as they argued for their teams.

For a prompt: Zoro exercising in booty shorts and how the crew responds.
“Oh, my god,” Nami said, covering her eyes. “Can you do that somewhere else?”
“Why?” Zoro said, focused on his weight-bearing squats.
“Because it’s gross.”
“What is, the sweat? I’ll make Usopp clean it up later.”
“What about me?” Usopp said, appearing behind Nami. He burst out laughing when he saw Zoro. “Holy—nice, Zoro! They fit you!”
“These?” Zoro said, glancing at his shorts, which were probably a size too small. “Nami, is this what you meant?”
“Yes! Go change or exercise somewhere else!”
“No. It’s hot and I don’t want to be inside,” Zoro said stubbornly, continuing his workout. “I can do it in your room if you want.”
Nami strode up to him, smacked his head, and stormed away.
“So, uh,” Usopp said. “Why are you wearing that?”
“It’s hot.”
“Where’d you get them?”
“Present from Franky awhile ago.”
Usopp nodded, as this explained everything, and strolled away.
“… And don’t come back until dinner,” Sanji said, dragging Luffy away from the kitchen, Luffy’s mouth stuffed with pork. They spotted Zoro. Sanji screamed and covered his eyes.
“Nice shorts,” Luffy said, swallowing his mouthful. “It’s like you’re wearing nothing at all!”
“Right?” Zoro said, shooting a grin at Sanji. “They’re so comfortable, it’s like I’m wearing nothing at all.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Sanji snapped, peering between his fingers, eyes darting down to Zoro’s hips.
“Nothing at all,” Zoro repeated.
“Nothing at all,” Luffy said.
“Nothing at all,” Zoro said.
“I’m hiding the alcohol,” Sanji announced, storming away. “Chopper! Do you have anything that cleans eyeballs?!”
Luffy wandered away, the fun of teasing Sanji gone, and Chopper came out to the deck.
“Hi, Zoro,” he said. “Did you see where Sanji went?”
Zoro pointed.
“Thanks!” Chopper trotted away.
Robin came out next, holding a book, and lowered her sunglasses when she spotted Zoro. They stared at each other.
“Franky?” she said at last. He nodded and she nodded, satisfied. She turned and went to the other side of the deck to do her reading in peace.
“Oh, my,” came a singsong voice.
“Am I the main attraction today?” Zoro said, looking up at Brook. “I’m trying to exercise.”
“Of course, of course. Those fit you well, Zoro-san.” Brook studied him. “Do you think it would be possible to convince Nami-san or Robin-san to wear something like that?”
“Most of their clothes don’t leave much to the imagination,” Zoro pointed out. “Weirdo.”
“True, true. But still …” Brook went away, murmuring something like, “So form-fitting.”
Finally, Franky found Zoro. He burst into tears.
“What?” Zoro snapped.
“I’m so proud!” Franky cried, taking out a handkerchief. “You’ve joined the legion of perverts!”
“It’s hot!”
“You sure are, bro! You sure are! What a super day!”
Zoro set down his weights, pulled off the shorts, and threw them at Franky. “I’m just trying to exercise!” he yelled. “Why does everyone have to be weird?!”
“Oh, my god!” Sanji yelled, having just come out to the deck again. “This is worse! Put them back on!”
“I’m not asking you to look!”
