With how closely Yasuho has been watched, how likely is it that the Rock Humans eventually find out about the Mori-Hole?

honestly? longer than you might think. After explaining things to Koichi's mom, she makes sure that Yasuho is much more careful when it comes to visiting. Paisley makes things even easier and erases any digital records, so there's that

but of course, she isn't able to stay off their radar forever, ESPECIALLY when she starts dating Toru. She's never made aware of the fact he knows, but they do

however....... the Mori-hole actually also isn't as useful as they hoped. It's a portal to another universe, of course they thought of all the ways they could use it! ......but as we've seen, the Rokakaka fruits, specifically the plants, are incredibly delicate. They need very close and careful monitoring, and if things go wrong for even a little bit the whole plant can die (maybe this also sparks a theory/rumor that the other side is toxic and slowly kills you or something? It's untrue obviously, but that could add an interesting mild conflict with some investigation)

so..... yeah the Rokakaka fruits aren't able to survive being stored on the other side. This doesn't mean the hole doesn't have its uses, but the biggest one has been rendered null so while they make sure only a handful of people actually know about it, it's not regarded as a priority and they let Yasuho go back and forth as she pleases

what they do do is keep close tabs on anyone who comes through. After all...... they still have no idea what the hell this thing is. It's not just a hole in time, it's leading somewhere completely different where there are differences that range from small and inconsequential to enormous, history altering events. Who knows if the people on the other side are even human, hell, who knows if this was even caused by a Stand of if it's from some other power they don't understand yet

Koichi of course gets the most of their attention. Rohan, the rest of the Duwang Gang when Koichi eventually shares, occasionally Jotaro, sure they all pop over on occasion, but as far as they can see Koichi has been coming here the longest and knows Yasuho the best. He's the most regular anomaly, claiming to be Yasuho's sibling which she readily and openly accepts. They've got a whole file on him from their observations, and while they don't know what to do about it...... he is being watched

(do I have any idea where to take this specific plot line? no not really, but I want it to go Somewhere and also I like the idea of Koichi being around for bits of Part 8)

The King Salmonid who all Fish Sticks aspire to be. The first Griller to surpass their mortal coils and ascend to a state far more... eldritch. A grotesque autonomous collective and yet a ruler in its own right. The aquatic roi des rats of the whirlpool's roil, whose name shall not be uttered. The worlds worst maypole by far, 0/10.

And yet there are sea creatures far worse, and far scarier, out in the unknown depths... beyond the splendour of the tempest; the sandbank’s luring smile. Encircled by flopping hordes of mindless and amorphous dancers, lulled amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Let me elaborate.

I presumed, for a good while, that my name was Alger.

The conditions on Zero Isle, and indeed most of the ocean, have worsened such that spacetime is strangling itself. I suppose it won't be long before the whole island is one colossal Mystery Dungeon and Magnagate latitude compressors cease to function. But before and therein lies a brief window of opportunity:

The small scraps of internet that leak through to this world from the one where I previously lived. Just enough for, say, an empty Rotom Phone from another world to send and view messages.

One of the first things I tried was to look up what little I remembered about myself, and discovered that I'd inadvertently stolen the name of a fictional rodent. But while my old identity is still lost to me, I have thankfully had two years to process that reality and friends to help me do so.

There exists an alternate universe inhabited only by Pokémon, with an Earth quite like yours. Approximately 43% of its surface no longer exists.

It's difficult to describe — or even measure — something whose fundamental property is the degradation of properties: physical, epistemological, temporal. That, ultimately, is what is referred to as the Mystery Dungeon phenomena. Affected areas break down and warp in a process akin to AI image generation losing the plot and dissolving into incoherence. The simularities are uncanny.

I don't know why I'm here or why I'm not human anymore — assuming there's a reason to begin with — and to be frank I am very much freaking the fuck out about pretty much everything (also apparently this is a problem others have dealt with? wtf?). This blog/log/slog is primarily to call attention to the fact that, yes, "Fallers" (stupid name) are not just delusional. and the world they've fallen to is unraveling before my eyes. Also to figuring out who the hell I am would be nice i guess.

Until I can get a hold of a more consistent internet connection, expect transmissions of wildly fluxuating quality. Headcanon: Ungalo and Donatello went to the same Florida middle school. Ungalo's classroom was assigned to read the book Holes by Louis Sachar.

Ungalo is a lonely boy and muses about the characters in the book being his friends. On the street one day, he brushes against a classmate he's never interacted with as they walk past each other, and a few seconds later a pair of shoes fall from the sky in front of Donatello, utterly fucking up the course of his life.

How's this for an AU: Narancia and the Runaway Girl from Part 3 are the same person — having travelled the world to avoid dealing with her mom's eye infection, met the Stardust Crusaders, and returned home to the worst possible outcome.

To facilitate this, DIO's reemergence is moved five years before the events of Part 3 and Vento Aureo takes place PRIOR to Diamond is Unbreakable in 1997 — such that Giorno can still be 15 and Narancia is technically around Abbacchio's age (but no one can tell). Honestly, how Part 5 and the massacre in Rome impacts the events of Part 4 is an AU unto itself.

Imagine Narancia somehow being the team's expert on Stand encounters... to an extent, because the orangutan with the boat is simply too unbelievable to be true. Imagine Narancia as Passione's "in" to the corrupt elements of the Speedwagon Foundation. Imagine her inexplicably knowing who Polnareff is.

Imagine that it is only when the death toll in Rome is calculated that Jotaro learns what became of that runaway kid, when they find the flowers.

oh god this is so much worse if you throw in my headcanon that Jotaro and Anne exchanged letters when everything was over-

Like. Narancia absolutely does not tell Jotaro everything that's been going on aside from a few rants about his dad. He talks about Bucciarati and Fugo and Abbaccio and Mista and all the craziness, but he always carefully dances around what they actually do. And Jotaro of course has no reason to suspect anything's wrong. If anything, he'd be super thankful to these friends for giving Narancia the love and family he deserves and wishes he could come visit. Maybe they even share a couple photos back and forth

(he was admittedly very shocked about Narancia getting a Stand, and that did trigger some suspicion, but he trusted Narancia to talk to him if anything actually dangerous was going on. Plus...... it was nice being able to give Narancia advice about Stand things)

but then one day the letters stop coming

At first, Jotaro doesn't think too much of it. After all, Narancia sometimes forgets or things get delayed in the mail, no biggie

but then Jotaro ends up hearing about Rome. How the damage was so catastrophic the only possible explanation could be a Stand Fight

and Jotaro is very familiar with Gravity. How despite the fact Narancia lived in Naples, how he knew the kid moved around for "work" quite a bit, how Stand Users were always attracted to other Stand Users

Jotaro was practically on the next flight out

A bizarre idea: When Bucci Gang hijacks a plane in the lead-up to Notorious B.I.G., Abbacchio has Moody Blues find the IATA code for Sardinia, but still selects a pilot replay just in case. It so happens that this is the same SWF plane Old Joseph flew to Japan with Abdul just before Part 3 to visit his grandson. Sensing something amiss, Joseph uses Hermit Purple's spirit photography like a film projector to see through Moody Blues' eyes and ultimately hijack the replay. He is now temporarily in Part 5, and winds up seeing Giorno's birthmark. What he do?

oh that’s such a fun idea though. That Moody Blues doesn’t just create an imitation of the past, but is literally looking through time. And how COOL would that be in action, Joseph and Avdol going around Italy watching the camera and seeing the future unfolding before them and be in a strange position of being able to offering insight and assistance while also being completely untouchable by attackers

And for when things first start up, what if Joseph’s just. Sitting there, doing his pilot things while making jokes about how “it’s been years Avdol, I won’t crash this one, I promise” and generally being his happy, chaotic self. Abbaccio doesn’t pay him much mind and just leans back in the other pilot chair just to keep an eye on things

And then Joseph suddenly stiffens. He tenses. He goes quiet. Being such a stark contrast from every behavior Abbaccio’s seen so far, this immediately gets his attention. He can see the cloth around Joseph’s arms ripple with some unknown outside force, and that worries him.

“Avdol.” Joseph suddenly says, his voice flat and not betraying a single emotion. “I need you to get the camera I put in my carry on. Quickly.”

And then he’s silent again, and he doesn’t say a word until his companion returns. Abbaccio had only know the man for barely a few hours, but it’s eerie. He moves his arm, the one with the rippling fabric, and he grabs something, presumably the offered camera.

Then there’s a loud crunch. The rippling fabric doesn’t stop, if anything it grows more and more, some parts even having sharp, sudden indents toward the skin. The camera makes a sputtering sound, Joseph looks down…….

And then he looks at Abbaccio

“We’re being watched”

hmmmmmmm while there are definitely a couple people, off the top of the head the ones I can immediately think of would have to be:

@dragoninthelabratory, who's probably the closest thing to our resident author. They've got some AMAZING written works which are always a joy to read and really nail the emotional impact

@whimizera-me is the resident Crack Expert, they come up with the most insane (/pos) ideas that always get me to laugh and can accidentally spark into something even more

@ailingwriter, @glassesfreekjr, and @reggie-trying-thier-best are probably the Roulette Wheels of the lot. They always reblog with AMAZING ideas that can be any type of fluff, angst or crack and can vary from a few lines to entire paragraphs of Thoughts.

@schadenfredde has a lot of really good thoughts too, but the thing most "memorable" about them would have to be the N'doul thoughts they bring

and finally @silver-tounges-and-golden-lies who while he hasn't been super present on the surface is my DM Buddy who listens to like. 99% of my brain rot and I've talked to him a lot about stuff that hasn't even made it on here yet
