I know we are kinda busy with getting louis #1 on charts so *maybe* it's not a time for that but I recently recalled a memory of Louis saying that his label wanted to make him another charlie puth sort of artist And because Charlie released his album quite recently I stumbled across lots of people on the internet explaining how his pr is setting him up Because he has perfect pitch his marketing was based around him being a great producer, him making songs for both himself and other people, he was supposed to be a 'music nerd' but his music doesn't give off this energy, there's plenty of people who bought his music production course and were unsatisfied with it and Charlie himself seems to be critical about each album he made up to this date It's very interesting, thinking how Louis ''was supposed to only write for other artists'', ''was supposed to form a girlsband'' and had to take a part in xfactor as a judge, it kinda makes a lot of sense how the label tried to make him appear in this way and how he decided to not give up And I'm happy he did because if he were to be charlie puth kind of artist it might have been a huge set up, considering how things are going for this guy

I’m sorry I’m too tired right now to think it through, but it makes sense that Sony had many reasons to push Louis into the background. If they had their way, Louis would be stuck doing A&R at Triple Strings and maybe trying to produce a few very young, very raw acts. Meanwhile, the artists and songwriters who worked with him on FitF might have forgotten about him by now, or written him off as a former boyband guy.

The “ex-boss of 1D” is how Sony, the BBC, Capital FM, and a lot of Harries try to portray Louis. The cruel, passive-aggressive jokes like “Louis the Fish” and Eroda reinforce this second-rate image. “He could never play Red Rock.” “He’s the most boring member of 1D.” “His music is rote and bland pop.”
