here are my predictions for season 5 of bbc ghosts even though they're very vague

none of the main ghosts are going to get sucked off

the captain is going to come out

Kitty's death is related to her sister somehow - possibly the pineapple goes mouldy and she tells Kitty to eat it

the captain dies in the library (even though this could be Kitty, Robin does reference to the person who dies in there - or the murderer I can't remember - as a 'guy')

we get more Havers content, but it's obvious that he does not reciprocate the captain's feelings

Alison and Mike talk about baby plans/ Alison gets pregnant

the captain either dies from poisoning or a bash on the head

the captain dies at the VE day ceremony at some point after he is rewarded his medals

"Is it, Patrick? Is it?" is said by the captain after Pat makes a joke that indirectly mocks either the circumstances around cap's death or his repressed feelings

We see one of the previous ghosts get sucked off probably around the time after Humphry's death

This one is a bit far fetched, but the captain is outed at the VE day celebration

Day one million of me asking what the fuck is this Puppet History lore. Like for starters, these have been the logo whoosh captions for the first three episodes of S5 so far

“The whoosh of mystery, history, and genie trickery”

“The whoosh of a person falling out of a window because that’s a core part of Czech history”

“An echo of a dinosaur rawr from the cretaceous period”

Not to mention this, that several people pointed out during the Professor plushie announcement video:

There’s a ghost/hologram of The Professor that shows up behind the theatre 👀

Speaking of The Professor, his name is canonically “C. McNasty”. But what does the C stand for…. 🤔

And these guys were present during the S5 announcement trailer. Probably nothing, but there’s a single shooting star, and a part of the lightning strike makes a question mark

Not to mention that the “Puppet History” logo, as well as the announcement date, are literally a hologram

its so crazy how different some people are than you like. when I hear about an early screening of a show i like i think. boy i cant wait until someone leaks a vertical phone recording of it with 12 pixels total so I can see it. and some of you are like I'd rather burn my own house down than see a screenshot of a tweet of a leak. I won't even watch the trailer until the show comes out. I won't look at a public behind the scenes picture. why do you not want to know about your blorbos? why delay the fleeting gratification? they make you happy. look at them. what's the deal. you can watch it again when it comes out for real. then you get to be happy twice. and you get even more excited waiting for the bit that you've seen to come out. I really don't get it. anyway this is a blanket request for anything spoiler-adjacent about my shows, if any part of ofmd s2 or ghosts s5 leaks, I would like to see it please.

Why Women Kill vs the ST Stage Production Teaser and Some Predictions

So, the drawing of the house from the ST stage production teaser trailer actually isn’t fully accurate to the Creel house:

The windows on the left side of the creel house are all wrong. Because the image from the teaser trailer has been mirrored, it’s the right half of the Creel house twice.

And when we look at some of the info that we have about the stage play (ignoring the Hellcheer part bc that’s pure speculation from the article), we can see that there’s two fourteen year old kids listed- George and Betty.

This all ties into this post that I made about Why Women Kill (and how Victor and Virginia have very strong visual parallels to Rob and Beth Ann). In Why Women Kill, three different couples move into the same mansion throughout the decades (not at the same time), and all three storylines end up with the women in each relationship committing murder in the mansion. However, what’s especially interesting to me is that the scene of all 3 husbands being murdered has all three timelines overlaid, as if all of the couples are in the same room at the same time, but they’re actually not, it’s just an artistic choice to show the 3 stories/timelines and how they’re similar but also different:

The other couples are like a ghost to eachother in their different timelines- just like Nancy was when she was seeing the scenes of the Creel house.

I bet they’re going to do a similar sort of thing here, where the story of the stage play and its characters is going to mirror the Creels and there’s going to be two families instead of three couples. And that some sort of murder is going to happen with a family in the play, and it’s going to give us subtext about the Creel murders/mirror/parallel them. After all- we don’t know who lived in that house before the Creels did.

I’m also staring Directly at George and Betty, because I won’t be surprised if their relationship ends up mirroring young Creelarke/subtly foreshadowing the S5 young Creelarke reveal, especially with the whole “moody outcast,” thing, which is very Henry coded.

It’s like. Henry and Scott already parallel Will and Mike, but there’s certain aspects of them that don’t quite match/fully parallel eachother- and I bet that those gaps are going to be filled in by George and Betty’s relationship.

It’s also interesting that Betty is the daughter of a preacher, considering that according to the Indianapolis Gazette, Victor was known for going to church, and according to the Weekly Watcher, Victor had a priest exorcise the Creel home.

And if another family lived there before the Creels did, it would explain all of the extra furniture in the attic that doesn’t seem to belong to the Creels.

I would like to convey how truly insane the last few months have been for me on a queer/pop culture/adhd hyperfixation level (it's a long list):

april/may ish: ted lasso s3. trent crimm, fav character since s1 is confirmed to be queer - something that I had quietly headcanoned but didn't think would actually happen in the series

july: wwdits s5. (I learned how to pirate tv shows for this one.)

also july: good omens s2. (it was fun and gentle and romantic until I discovered that ofmd s1 prepared me for the emotional destruction of that last episode)

also in july: grandson concert!

end of august. ofmd s2 trailer.

september: taskmaster s16 starts! very fun and very homosexual

the stressful hour in september that was getting noah kahan concert tickets

then came october. three shows all started within the same two days (all are massive hyperfixations)

oct 5: our flag means death s2

also oct 5: loki s2 (literally didn't know about this one until the day of lol)

oct 6: bbc ghosts s5

also october: the magnus protocol trailer

I think the loki s2 finale should get it's own point on the list due to how much mental space it occupied.

writers and actors strikes end! the amount of ofmd s2 bts content was and still is absolutely wild

november: the ballad of songbirds and snakes movie!
