Geese with Swords

I’m entering this in an art contest. Gonna add color, just thought it would be funny to post. :)

Backstory:

So in our Latin text books, there’s this one story called ‘Manlius, The Gauls and the Geese’ but somehow every year someone translates ‘The Geese honked and woke Manlius up so he could beat up the Gauls’ to ‘Geese with Swords.’ So I’m entering this into the art contest. :)

look at this tiny tiny ancient depiction of a goose sheltering babies beneath her wings. 🥺

it's not very detailed but look at the postures of the animals. And the way the goslings are not very young but recognisable as gangly and halfway grown.

Please remember not to feed geese and ducks bread. It not only doesn't have nutritional value for them, but it has too much protein and carbs. This can give them a condition called angel wing. This condition causes their wings to become deformed.

Instead, feed them:

Cracked corn

Peas

Uncooked rice or oats

Apples or bananas

Bird seed
