Mallory's mind is wandering.

It's raining.

A stormy morning, Gunilla sits on her bed. "Rain is so romantic," she says, and in that moment, it really does seem that way.

Now, the rain is just depressing, reminding her of her girlfriend's fascination with it.

The sun is shining on Mallory's face.

A sunny afternoon, she is out with Gunilla in a park. "Your smile's my light," Mallory tells her. Gunilla's laugh also resembles the sunshine.

Now, the sun teases her, reminding her of girlfriend's smiles and laughter.

It is snowing outside Mallory's window.

Gunilla throws a snowball at her. She makes a face and throws one back. Gunilla dodges and runs to Mallory, holding her. At that time, the snow reminds her of Gunilla herself, cold on the outside, but when warmed, truly a wonder.

Now, the snow just reminds her of the girl she has lost.

Mallory cries.

Mrs. Afton died when Evan was very young; too young for him to really remember her. The only thing that he almost remembers is the soft flutterings of a gentle voice singing.

Whenever William takes his children to the Sister Location, Evan will sit quietly outside of Ballora's gallory. He never goes in-- he's much too afraid of the animatronics for that-- but he will sit outside, listening to her singing, and feel calm for a reason he can't explain or understand.

Just saw your Barriss Offee time travel one shot. And you gave me a ploy bunny so I'm sharing it. Ahsoka/Fulcrum and Barriss/Survived Order 66 and is so very much not Light Side both being in the past and in a MAD scenario, also back to young Padawans and trying to prevent a lot, and disagreeing on methods. Barriss apparently is very very good at being quiet Force wise and Ahsoka survived. So all the PTSD scars and not letting Palpatine figure out they know. And dealing with undone growth.

I am so, SO sorry my response to this is so atrociously late, but oh my god, I am obsessed with this idea, holy SHIT. Ahsoka and Barriss having to deal with their own trauma while also dealing with being in the past and trying to change things is SUCH a brilliant idea, especially when they're both trying to change the outcome of TCW. With the way that their traumas overlap, and how difficult trying to deal with that while also fixing things would be... YES oh this is absolutely brilliant. And Obi-Wan, Luminara, and Anakin being so worried for their padawans just breaks my heart in the best of ways, because no matter how good Barriss and Ahsoka might be at acting, hiding THAT MUCH LIFE EXPERIENCE would be so difficult, and hiding that from the people who they care about, the people who they lost, would be 10 times harder. Oh my god I'm going to be thinking about this one for SO LONG DJSHSASH, I don't know if you're planning on writing it/have written it, but I'd love to see it if you do! (And if you're okay with me doing so, I would love to write a drabble in this universe maybe? I would absolutely credit you, and it's totally cool if not haha— this idea has just TAKEN UP RESIDENCE IN MY MIND LOL) Ahhhh thank you so much for sharing!!!! <3

I have a finish with The Baker's Wife. Stitched on 32ct linen. The green dress is stitched with silk floss from The Silk Mill. The purple feathers on top of her head are stitched with Rainbow Gallory Silk Lame. I changed the beads in her hair from peach to Pink Blush (Miyuki); I changed the yellow beads to Mandarin Orange (Miyuki); and I stitched french knots in the centers of the flowers on the bottom of her dress. I'm loving the pink beads in her hair! I kept hearing Frankie Avalon's "Beauty School Dropout" from Grease the entire time I was attaching those beads . . . . . 😂 the gorgeous fabric is hand dyed by Oksana Lopatina.
