We have a problem.
ALRIGHT> Time to talk about my fave ship.......... MARINETTE x CHAT NOIR
to prevent anyone from reading spoilers im gunna tag it and do a break away right here.
Now. Hello you naughty little you tube watchers who cannot wait for Jeremy to get his ish together and quit messing around with production.  (or you just dont give a fuck about spoilers which thanks for being here to read this!)
Welcome to my first theory of 2018.
I have not made a theory since “The Gamer” episode. Mostly because everything seemed kinda blatant. But a few things have sprung up at me, especially after reading a  post  by @fuckyeahladynoir  (who i highly recommend you follow whether or not ladynoir is your fave ship, their blog is just hella awesome. )  We had a semi-conversation about it here, its short but its addressed.
Adrien was acting like a fuck boy. EXCUSE ME i mean Fuck Boi™.
I hate to admit it. But it kinda true.
He was the poster child for Saltiest French Fry in the entire world. Yes he was upset when he simply vented to Marinette. BUT i’m talking a bout when Ladybug was trying to get him to cooperate during an akuma attack and he becomes a Pussy Cat ™
Im very concerned by this. He gets emotional really quickly, and they are usually negative emotions. We saw it in the Christmas Episode. We saw it in “Animan” when he thought the T-Rex ate Ladybug.
He reacts negatively really quickly.
Which worries me because that makes Adrien really really susceptible to becoming an Akuma victim and one step closer to Chat Blanc or something more horrific. Especially if Gabriel even tries to notice Adrien’s feelings for Ladybug in which he could use Adrien to gain LB’s miraculous. Which can be really dangerous. Our Cat son might be a little problematic but that’s okay we still love him the same. But as @fuckyeahladynoir pointed out, it could lead to a heart wrenching reveal. maybe. we’ll see.
Stay Miraculous!

Rude Interruptions
Happy birthday @fuckyeahladynoir!  I wrote you some aged up nerds.  The idea came from @gusenitsaa, who said I should write a revelation where Marinette/Adrien are adults and together and still don’t know the other’s secret.  The result was very, very fluffy.  Like, sickeningly sweet.
---
She was married.
Adrien slid next to her in the limo that would take them to their reception and grinned down at her, his green eyes alight with joy.
Adrien in a tux?  It was a dream come true.  Adrien in a tux and happy?  Marinette sort of wanted to skip over the reception and go right to… other activities.
“Well, there’s no running away for you now,” he said to her, entwining their fingers and lifting her hand so he could admire the ring that adorned her third finger.  “You’re well and truly entangled, Mrs. Agreste.”
Mrs. Marinette Agreste. God, she could remember doodling that on her notebooks in tenth grade like a kid with their first crush.  Back then, this day was just a dream that she had never really believed would come true.
“I like being entangled,” Marinette responded, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair that had been tamed for the ceremony. She knew that when he walked into the reception with mussed hair it would raise a few brows, but Marinette didn’t care.
She tugged him down for a kiss.  She had kissed him a hundred times since they had begun dating three years previous, but somehow today – their wedding day! – made the kisses taste different.
The only dark spot on the day was that a very important person was missing.  But Marinette Dupain-Cheng could hardly invite Chat Noir to her wedding.  Not without raising some questions from the other guests, and the superhero himself.
Eight years of partnership made Chat her best friend (next to Alya, the maid of honor, of course!), but they still didn’t know one another behind the mask.  At first, it had been for safety’s sake.  Later, once Marinette had begun to date Adrien and Chat had begun to wax poetic about the most amazing girl ever, it had simply seemed easier to keep their civilian and super hero identities as separate as possible.
After all, if they didn’t know who the other was, then there was no risk of jealousies forming that could ruin the relationships they both held so dear.
Of course, there was the fact that Chat wouldn’t have been able to make it to the wedding anyway.  He hadn’t told her what he was doing – you’ll see the next time we patrol, m’lady, said with a grin, his eyes alight with happiness – simply that he wouldn’t be available.  They had tried to figure out a way to still have someone available, but…
Well, Paris would have to survive a single evening without its heroes.
Marinette would be far too busy dancing with her husband and shoving cake into her husband’s face.
“If you could have any wish right now,” Adrien murmured into her ear as he twirled her around, “what would it be?”
It was a game they had started back even before they began to date, when Marinette had still been a shy, stuttering mess around him. But she’d grown determined to learn how to speak actual words to him, and somehow, she had blurted that question out.
She had been mortified, except that Adrien had taken it seriously, talking out loud about the pros and cons of each and his wishes. Wishes that had consisted of an unfaltering ability to say the perfect pun in any given situation and a way of making camembert not smell terrible.
Marinette had fallen into helpless laughter, and when she managed to calm down and look at him, Adrien had been looking at her in a way he never had before.
It had taken another three years before they started to date, but Adrien had told her once that had been the moment when he had first thought I could love this girl.
Now it was Marinette’s turn to think hard about the question.
For this night to never end was on the tip of her tongue, but she hesitated, because that wasn’t true.  She didn’t want this night to never end – she wanted tomorrow and the day after, and all the days after that.  She wanted to build her life with this man.  She wanted to create a name for herself as a designer.  She wanted to laugh at Chat’s jokes and listen to him go on and on about his dream girl.
“I never want to stop feeling like I do right now,” she said instead.  She wanted to always hold onto this moment, the joy and love that filled her heart until it was almost bursting.
That was what she never wanted to end.
“My lady’s wish is my command,” Adrien said, his eyes sparkling, and Marinette felt her entire body jolt.  Those words, that smile and –
              “Akuma attack!”
They broke apart at the shout, someone waving his phone over his head.  Nino stopped the music and everyone looked at the man, who blushed and shrugged.
“It’s only three blocks away.  We should maybe take cover while Ladybug and Chat Noir take care of it.”
Except that Ladybug and Chat Noir didn’t have plans to take care of anything.
Marinette wouldn’t give up being Ladybug or her friendship with Chat for the entire world… but she wanted to curse as Adrien grasped her hand in his warm grip and tugged her in the direction of what was supposed to be safety.
She loved Adrien so much she was stupid with it, but there was still a part of her that she had to keep hidden.  He had never grown suspicious when she had to take off, had never been angry at her for breaking dates; maybe it was because he had to call off just as many thanks to his career, but no matter the reason, it still left Marinette feeling guilty.
He had to cancel because he was working.  She had to cancel because she was lying.
And now, she had to purposely release her grip on his hand, act as though she got caught up amongst guests headed in the same direction. Rather than answer is call of Marinette!, she had to duck around a corner and let Tikki out from under layers of dress.
“I’m so sorry, Marinette,” the Kwami said, her tiny shoulders slumped.  “I promised you this one night and-”
“It’s not your fault, Tikki.  It’s Hawkmoth’s… and someday, I am going to meet him and let him know what I think of him. Until then… spots on!”
If she hurried, maybe she could get back before her husband realized she was entirely absent.
---
“I didn’t think you were available tonight, Kitty.”
Her greeting made Chat’s grim expression brighten somewhat, but it was still clear he was less than pleased.  Marinette didn’t hold that against him though; she wasn’t exactly happy herself.
“I wasn’t supposed to be,” he replied.  “This is really putting a damper on what was otherwise the happiest day of my life.”
“The dream girl is involved then,” Marinette said, nudging him with her shoulder and winking at him.  “We’d better get you back to her.”
“I would appreciate that, M’lady.” Words given with a gallant bow, and Marinette froze again, for the second time, her brain whirling.
But then Chat sprang into action, his movements made for the best efficiency, and Marintte dodged an attack, the idea her mind had been beginning to form disappearing as she went into Ladybug mode.
With both heroes desperate to get back to their respective evenings, the Akuma didn’t last long, and soon enough Marinette was tossing her Lucky Charm into the air with a shout of Miraculous Ladybug!
She held her fist out to Chat, and then froze when she saw that a cut on his chin hadn’t been healed.
“Dammit,” he muttered when she tilted his chin up to inspect it.  “How bad is it?”
“You won’t need stitches, but Dream Girl is going to notice.  You’ll have to come up with an excuse” – she felt nothing but understanding when Chat clenched his teeth in a dark expression.  Out of all the things this duty demanded of them, the lying was by far the worst – “Chat, if you have to tell her… I’ll understand.”
“No,” Chat replied determinedly.  “I… this girl is amazing, M’Lady.  But she’d worry, and she’d want to help.  She’d be incapable of not want to help.  I won’t do that.”
“Then it will have to be makeup.  Can you get some?”
Chat’s smile was amused and almost ironic as he grinned.
“Yeah,” he replied wryly.  I can get some makeup.”
“Then get going,” Marinette replied, giving his shoulder a shove.  “And… I really need to as well!”
Both their miraculous beeped warnings and they took off.  Marinette hoped that everything turned out well for Chat and his girl, but as she swung back into the reception venue and rushed to change back and rejoin the guests without attracting attention, she just really hoped that Adrien didn’t ask too many questions.
God, but she didn’t want to have to lie.  Not like Chat would.
“Where have you been, girl?” Alya demanded when she caught sight of Marinette.  “Everyone was frantic.  There’s an attack a handful of blocks away – one I missed, I might add, so I wouldn’t ruin this dress – and the bride and groom sneak off for some pretty obvious nookie?”
              “For some noo-”
“You’re making her red, Alya,” Adrien interjected, and Marinette spun around to face him, and apology already on her tongue, her mind whirling for an excuse, one that wasn’t a complete lie and –
“You’re hurt,” she said, staring at Adrien’s chin with wide eyes.
“What are you talking about, Mari?” Alya asked in confusion, and it wasn’t that surprising to Marinette that she didn’t notice. Most people probably wouldn’t… but Marinette had to use makeup to cover up scratches and bruises before, and she recognized the telltale signs.
Adrien had used cover up on his chin.
He tugged her away, giving Alya her apologies, but this time there was no interruption as her mind whirled, so when he closed the door to a quiet room, where it was just the two of them, the words came tumbling out.
              “You’re Chat Noir.”
“Marinette, I have no idea what you-” he cut off when Marinette cupped his chin, just as she had Chat’s, and angled it so she could inspect his chin.  She tugged his pocket square out and gently removed the makeup, and there it was – Chat’s cut.  When she met Adrien’s gaze, he was gaping at her.  “You’re Ladybug.”
“So that time when you had an emergency beach photoshoot on our third date?”
“When you said your dad burned his hand and needed you to cover for him?”
There was an entire litany of broken dates and lies told to cover up a secret… that they both shared.
Maybe, when she was younger, she would have been hurt or shocked.  But now?
Marinette laughed, and it was filled with joy. Because Adrien was her Chat.  Adrien was her husband and her best friend… and it was sort of perfect.
“You do know this means you’ve been calling yourself Dream Girl for the past three years, right?” Adrien asked after her laughter calmed, and that just set both of them off, until they were clinging to each other.
“I am pretty dreamy,” Marinette finally said, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck.  “So, it’s not like I was wrong.”
“No,” Adrien agreed.  “You certainly weren’t, m’lady.”
When he pulled her in for a kiss, they were both still giggling against one another’s mouth, but neither really cared.  They were simply too relieved.
The lies, the secrets… all of it could end, because they were both the superheroes, and now they were married.
They pulled apart when Alya beat on the door, demanding that they come and take of their guests, because she wasn’t being paid, so she wasn’t going to do it.
Still chuckling, they left the room arm in arm, both mussed up, and Alya rolled her eyes with a mutter of seriously, again?, but Marinette just shrugged unapologetically.
They were almost back to the hall when Marinette remembered Adrien’s words as Chat Noir.
But she’d worry, and she’d want to help.  She’d be incapable of not want to help.  I won’t do that.
“Hey… if you think this means that I’m going to be sidelined just because I’m your Dream Girl, you better think again, Kitty.”
Adrien winced at the reminder and he wrapped his arm around her waist.
“How long will I pay for that remark?”
“Oh, I dunoo,” Marinette snuggled her head into his chest.  “How does the rest of our lives sound?”
Because it sounded pretty perfect to Marinette.

Can we all just talk about the fact that Marinette experienced Chat Noir loving her for herself, not just as Ladybug. Why isn’t this a big revelation to her? I get she doesn’t like Chat because he’s not Adrien but this is her BIGGEST insecurity. However, now she knows there is a person out there who can love all of her, which means there is possibilities for others to feel the same. I want some deep thoughtful Marinette gaining confidence pls and thank u

Not to be that person but the premier of season 3 is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t be an advocate for ethics/morality all the time. Part of adulting is learning how to let people burn their own bridges because getting involved in trying to prove someone isn’t as good as they seem is just going to make you look like you’re purposefully trying to find something wrong with them.
Tumblr media
You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain. While I think it’s a bit over the top with how the class is responding to Marinettes accusations and disapproval of Lila attitude and manipulation, it’s a perfect example of what many of us will go through or have already. You need to let people show their true colours themselves sometimes, and that takes a lot of patience and emotional control.
Marinette is young, so I don’t blame her for acting the way she is.
