Y’know in hindsight it’s wild that everyone was calling Scott Cawthon a genius when he so clearly had no fucking idea what he was doing. There was really a time where we said “Scott doesn’t do coincidences” when coincidences are literally how his story development worked.

People give Security Breach shit for fucking up the lore but the lore was fucked from the start. Tbh SB just gave us what the community had been wanting for a LONG TIME. We got free roam, we got animatronics with personalities, we got exploration and a clearly defined protagonist, if I’m honest, Security Breach is what the FNAF community had been fucking BEGGING FOR since the SECOND GAME. And just because it’s buggy and doesn’t fit into the already bullshit lore people hate it.

Y’all I’m sorry to say but even if Scott WAS running the project, Afton would probably have came back anyway. I hate that he’s back too, but I do not have an ounce of faith that Scott would have done better. Scott has always cared more about fucking with us than making a good story.

I just saw the FNAF movie (I was invited by the cinema to see it for free before you shout at me) and it’s actually surprisingly decent. I don’t know how someone who’s unfamiliar with the games would find it but I actually enjoyed myself. Incomprehensible long image? Sounds like all the Animatronics in my FNAF AU have their line arts done!

...God this took a while. I think I'll take a break before doing all the flat colours of these guys.

Oh, yeah, there's more than just the full body refs on here, so that tiny incomprehensible image is probably hard to read. Here, I've split it up a bit:

Each Character is named as such: Name - Series (Location). Example being Bonbon - Fazbear (Circus Baby's Pizza World). There are several series, being Fazbear, Popgoes, Rachel's, Candy's and OC. Human characters outside of a set series (Eg. Gregory) just have Name - Full Name.

Additionally, the colour after each name denotes who "made" them, which only applies for Animatronics*. There's four main builders - Afton Robotics, Henry, William, and "Goldie". Non-Animatronics with the colour after their name are who caused them to become "undead" in the sense of they died and are now not quite human.

The shortest Fazbear Animatronic is Helpy, the tallest being Nightmare. Nightmare's really tall - most of the rest of the Animatronics are between 5'0" and 6'8", while Nightmare is about 8'0". Helpy's... around 4'2". Monika is the shortest overall, being exactly 4'0" - she's the boss of the OC series, hence her name being on the sign. The OC series are the most recent, being built shortly after the Pizzaplex went up.

The series with the shortest Animatronics overall is Candy's - since Blank isn't in my AU, they're all at or under 5'6". The series with the tallest Animatronics overall is Popgoes - Popgoes, Blake, Sara, and Saffron are all around the same height as Monty, and Stone being about an inch taller than DJ Music Man. A lot of the humans in the series are short though - Mike is the tallest and Cassie is the shortest. Cassie and Gregory are around 16yrs in my AU - still kids, but older now.

There's a bunch of subseries within them (eg. Roxy's Wolf Pack, the Golden Years, Thieves and Rogues, etc) based around this and that, which I might make up when I colour more of these. Some of them are more concrete (eg. Golden Years are Animatronics from pre-FNAF1 in the timeline) and some are less so (eg. Roxy's Wolf Pack are Animatronics that Roxy has adopted into her wolf pack).

Either way... This has been worked on for MONTHS. I may still redraw some of these later - not as much of a fan of Orville or Mr. Hippo right now, and I've already redrawn Stone, Fen, Katlynn, RXQ, Shadow Freddy, and Bidybab/Electrobab before this. I also partially redid DJ Music Man (fewer arms now) and might redraw Foxy, not sure.

...This COULD be Drawtober given I've drawn at least 1-3 of these per day this month, but... eh.

I have two of them

1: Steven x Peter isn't that bad honestly. Imo at least. It doesn't deserve the amount of hating it gets. 'But Steven ruined Peter's life by sending him to become a phone guy' the games go out of their way to show and even directly tell you that phone guys are slaved people who are brought back from the dead and forced to do as their programming says. Steven isn't an expert or anything he's just as slaved as the others were. And while he does say 'I hope u can forgive me for this' which kinda means that he knew it was bad? But honestly I still don't blame it on him fully. From my understanding phone guys are only capable of going 'against' (for lack of better word) their programming only if they have some humanity or memories when they were alive, which I dont think Steven does, in both dsaf1 & 3 hes fully convinced that he's Scott Cawthon and only remembers that he isnt after literally being forced to. 'they hate eachother' I've replayed all the dsaf games and I can't find anything confirming that. Steven obviously regrets what he did and wants to make it right to not just Peter, but everyone else as well. Peter and Steven don't interact much, but Peter hasn't said anything mean about Steven once. The only thing that implies this is Peter's line of Jack saving even those who don't deserve it. But honestly he never said it was about Steven. For all we know he could had been referring to Dave or hell even himself. 'Its boss x employee which would be toxic by realistic standards' ok I see your point but why compere realistic standards to fucking dsaf? You know what else would be incredible toxic by realistic standards too? Davesport. But the fandoms not ready for that talk.

2: Davesport is hellaaaaaaa overrated. I get why people ship it. It has much potential. But honestly it's the only thing the fandom talks about and Im getting tired of it. Where's my Steven contact? Where's my Peter or Dee contact? Where's the phone guys, Henry, Jacktrap or hell even Davetrap contact? Where's the angst connect on the Kennedy siblings? The only endings this fandom talks about are like the Gnarly Endings even tho I think the good ending and pure evil endings in dsaf2 are much better better than the gnarly end. Contact of the legacy routes are almost non existent ESPECIALLY on the legacy route of 2 and when there's is. It's davesport angst. How about we make angst about how Jack literally kills his motherfucking sister that he literally died for in an even more curler dsaf3 legacy route. I also hate how much the fandom mischaracterizes it. No they aren't uwu gay boys, no they don't have a perfect relationship. Their relationship is fucking unhealthy, flawed and bittersweet. (No Im not saying davesport is a pr*ship don't accuse me of that, although it's an unhealthy relationship it's not an ab**ive one). Dave literally stalks Jack, he has cameras on his house for the real Fredbear's sake. Yes I know they're treated like jokes, yes I know that Jack doesn't seem to mind, yes I know that Dave & Jack ARE capable of being in a somewhat normal relationship, with Flipside Dave at least. But still that's not healthy. They are literally willing to kill eachother if they're opposite! Those are two dead courses that have been stripped almost completely out of all their humanity thanks to that pink fuck Henry. Obviously they won't be sweet and caring to eachother or anyone really. If you like Davesport at the very least actually protey it correctly.

like outside of those things you mean? here's the ones i'd listed/instantly came to mind. a lot of things people rag on him about are like OLD old (early 2010s, like the whole "basing pyro's sex off of weird pseudoscience), which is why i won't be listing Every issue i've had because i want to assume he's grown and changed since then, at least with those things. anyways

has a weird tendency of equating video games to real-life murders. the first time i can remember him doing it was with the first ever fnaf theory, where he said it was about the actual murder of chuck-e-cheese employees and that you played as the murderer rotting in hell. which is. weird enough. but that was 2014, nearly 10 years ago, shit happens. however. that was the only time he's done this. it happened again in 2017-2019 with petscop, equating the game to the murder of a 10 year old girl. and, to his full defense, the creator of petscop ALLEGEDLY said that he did start basing his game off of that case, but that he severely regrets it and regards it as an extremely stupid decision. that doesn't make matpat's actions any less weird, because if you realize a game is Actually tied to the killing of a real-life child, just. don't fucking comment on it. it's weird and even the creator regrets his decision to do so.

on a theory about what i think was a alleged fnaf arg, he asked for his followers to help him "discover more clues" by asking them to physically call/visit locations in the real world he believed were connected to this so-called arg. (from my knowledge, this arg doesn't exist btw.) at NO point during the writing, producing, recording, editing, etc of the video did he manage to connect the dots that, hey, doxxing real-life locations for my fans to swarm to is a Bad Fucking Idea, meanwhile every other major fnaf community rushed to shut it down the SECOND his video came out, with large reddit, twitter, etc accounts imploring for fans not to listen to him, and that similar incidents have happened in the past and led to nothing (to the point where scott cawthon himself has had to step in and tell people to knock it off). i can't remember exactly how long it took for him to take it down/call off the masses, but the fact that it even got published in the first place is honestly just inexcusable, both for him and for his team (this was june of last year)

he blamed etika's suicide on cancel culture and has never apologized. the tweet is still up, for some insane fucking reason, although multiple people both close to matpat and close to etika corrected him on completely erasing the issue of mental health (this was 2019)

and lastly, while i've heard rumors of him stealing theories for years now, the only first-hand i've seen was his hermitcraft theory. the original creator of the theory can be found here [link], alongside all his theories, evidence of theft, etc. she has never been properly credited for this, and those who tried to comment on the video to properly do so had their comments instantly deleted. (this was late 2021)

Besties I strongly dislike Scott Cawthon but the fnaf movie was good and I’m annoyed that it was good. Like. The joy I felt watching the movie (and also cried like twice cus it hit way too close to home as an older sibling) is unparalleled. But also. Scott Cawthon is an awful person and supports people who want me dead? And also doesn’t believe women should have the right to basic medical care? And. My feelings are so conflicting rn. I want to separate my love for the series from Scott Cawthon. But if I did that I wouldn’t be any better than HP fans.

I think it’s okay to have these complicated feelings and talk about them. I’m still trying to figure it out myself?

I guess the big difference between JKR and Scott is that he avoids talking about his opinions and the only reason we know these things is due to his voting record and who he gives money to (which btw I don’t believe donating to lgbt charities makes up for voting for the party that wants to commit genocide against us. It’s still shitty. Like yay he’s donating to the Trevor project but also. Damn voting for these people that want us to not have rights and don’t want us to be alive really hurts).

He is still actively harming the community. Even if he isn’t outwardly spewing hateful rhetoric (unless he’s gotten worse. Or unless his opinions have rapidly changed over the past couple of years. If so please feel free to correct me, just not without sources).

But his series has basically transcended his control. It’s not controlled by him. It’s controlled by the fans. Half the shit that’s canon now wouldn’t be canon without the fans and it’s this big collaborative effort and that’s what’s so beautiful about it. Unlike jkr whose views and specifically racism are baked into her properties.

But he still gets money from it.

And he could be using that money to support some really awful people.

I don’t like or support Scott Cawthon. But I love fnaf. I grew up with it. I love the community. And it really influenced my love for horror media. And gods this movie was great. I had such a good time watching it.

I don’t know what point I’m trying to get at.

I guess I’m just sorta venting.

It sucks loving something when it’s creator who actively gains money from it supports some truly awful people.

I want to be able to put my feelings aside so I can joyfully rant about this movie without mentioning “gosh I wish Scott wasn’t involved” but that obviously isn’t the case.

I don’t expect any response to this post. Im just sorta putting my feelings out there into the void. And if someone relates I hope they know they aren’t alone.

And if you’re gonna say something hateful or something that outwardly supports conservatives I will gladly block you. There is no excusing the active genocide being perpetrated by the Republican Party against the queer community, but more specifically trans people. Uuugh it's too much to explain anon 💀 if there a NINE HOURS lore video about it, that's for a reason...

But to put it simply, it started off as a dumb jumpscare bear game > Markiplier makes a viral playthrough > became one of the most successful indie game serie of the last few years. It created a whole new horror genre : Mascot Horror, and a bunch of copycats have been consistently trying to ride that way (with more or less success) : Garden of Bangtan, Poppy Playtime, Bendy and the ink machine Choo Choo Charles come to mind.

What's important to not is that FNAF wasn't supposed to have a sequel, so Scott Cawthon (its creator) creator the lore as the games went by. It's surprisingly pretty consistent (although it got retconed 2 times lol - notably in FNAF 4 which momentarily established the previous games as a dream 😅)

Scott got cancelled a few years ago after being exposed as a registered Republican. Fans (mostly left aligned zoomer) started putting parallels between the game main storyline of child sacrifice and abortion criticism (which is super based idc lol). This prompted Scott to not being directly involved in the game development but still managed their overall direction as some sort of "conductor". However he's the co author of the books....which are now part of the lore (which confused many fans bc they originally weren't).

And it's without counting the fangames (that aren't developed by Scott's team)...but that still get Scott's approval (I heard that Scott created some sort of incubator to fund teams creating those fangames) and contain lore (example: Five nights at Candy's). So FNAF lore is now spread between to "official" games, the books, the fangames.

That's why the suspicion regarding Scott's personal beliefs extend to books. Such as the B-7 book story (cowrote by Scott), where a boy mutilates himself (to become an animatronic) only to realize once as an adult and after trying to unalive himself- that it was pointless and ultimately decide to accept himself as a (hu)man👀. Many have seen an anti trans narrative and I can't blame them 👀

There are so many other things to be said abt the whole remnant/soul ties thing (that makes the animatronic come too life) but I don't want to be too long.

As goofy as it may look, FNAF tackles extremely dark things but for unlike 99% mainstream media, it doesn't glorifies or donwplay it. The moral sensibility of that gaming license is STRONG. William Afton is an AWFUL person - a CHILD MURDERER. He's not displayed as anything but that. In one fangame you literally play him in "hell" where you have to fight against all the animatronics/children he killed.

I can't help but see a message of the perversion of childhood in it. The animatronics attack you the way the human spirit of the child possessing them died : chica does it screaming because the child screamed, Foxy runs super fast bc the child died while trying to escape, Puppets is crying because the child died a slow death crying...

Just finished it and that's the far the best FNAF lore video I've seen. It's Extremely detailed though so it's definitely longer than other FNAF lore video (that also may not take into account the latest books/fangame for example )

FNAF movie kinda mid tbh. I watched it last night on Halloween at midnight in a Discord call with 5 other people who all constantly talked over it to give lore explanations while also playing this video on loop at full volume for the entire movie:

I remember almost nothing about the movie itself but honestly I feel like it was probably a significantly more enjoyable experience than it would have been had I watched it normally. As soon as I saw in the opening credits that it was a Blumhouse film I became hyped as fuck and I immediately knew exactly what the rest of the movie was gonna be like and I could not have been more correct, it was the most generic, dumb as fuck, funny horror movie ever with a Freddy Fazbear coat of paint (that's a positive btw, I love dumb shit horror). The main plot zzzzz the side plot with the evil aunt zzzzz but the moment where they made a fort and Bonnie fell down like a rock and then gave a thumbs up was PEAK FICTION, made the entire movie worth it. I don't know anything about FNAF lore beyond the bite of 87 so like I can't judge whether the lore is accurate myself but my friend who's obsessed with it said it was alright and Matpat's name is Ness and that's all the lore accuracy I need. Why did they play the Jack Black Freddy Fazbear song at the end? There's 2 purple guys?? What the fuck is Remnant???? FNAF World?????? Please shut the fuck up.

scott cawthon is a protestant christian from utah. given this context (utah is VERY mormon-dominant; mormons politically are lgbt exterminationists) he's like...actually shockingly supportive of lgbt people. the donations to charities werent just to cover his ass, he's openly expressed support for lgbt people in the past and people whove met him and whose word on it i trust say it's genuine

americans have a fucking huge cognitive dissonance as far as progressive politics go. this is by design; it's decades upon decades of propaganda. the default viewpoint in the US is that our "freedom" is intrinsically tied to the free market economy. social programs are met with huge skepticism and they're constantly on the legislative chopping-block.

it is NOT an uncommon belief here that social programs harm minority groups by keeping them dependent on the government. that isn't true, but it's pervasive and difficult to debunk in a way propagandized people will accept.

so there is a not-insignificant number of people who believe with their whole hearts that a fiscally conservative politician's bigoted views are outweighed by the benefits their economic policies will (supposedly) offer to marginalized people by giving them employment opportunities and shit, because financial "independence" = freedom and agency.

that is where scott cawthon falls. the end result of material harm is the same but the difference in scale aside i feel comparing him to jk rowling is a little off the mark. jk rowling's goal is very expressly to use her wealth as leverage to harm trans people; scott cawthon is like if your dipshit libertarian uncle had his borderline religious belief in the power of the free market validated by coming into some cool millions from the gamejolt lottery

BE WARNED IF YOU WANT TO WATCH IT] AA YOU ACTUALLY ASKED JKSFHN ANYWAYS SORRY IF THIS ONE IS A BIT SHORTER THAN THE EVERHOOD ONE BC IM A LOT NEWER TO THIS okay sososo the walten files is a fnaf vhs series (i've seen it referred to like that before at least) you can tell it's really really inspired by fnaf but it's still a really interesting series on its own!!! it also has really fucking cool art?? i love it so much its so cool (esp the talking sprites from bunnyfarm love that) it has really nice visuals and theres a ton of little details for you to notice on a second watch or third watch or idk jkdng for me personally i really like watching theory videos on twf because i watched the game theorists as a kid and then it all went downhill but anyways i like watching theory videos because 1. its really good bg noise and 2. i like seeing the stuff people have deduced about the series from the like relatively small amount of information there is!!!!! also i suggest you watch all twf videos before watching theory videos idk jfdgnlf THIS IS BASICALLY, ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT BECAUSE I KNOW LIKE BARELY ANYTHING ABOUT IT YET HAHADJM anyways thank you for the ask sm rha thank you thanksthanks
