#frisk has no idea what Sans is trying to do

One common Undertale misconception that really frustrates me is when Sans is portrayed with a strong innate sense for RESETs and alternative timelines. Like, that he remembers the RESET timelines better than the other characters who only have occasional feelings of deja vu or even that he can sense when a timeline is RESET.

And that’s, like, almost the opposite of the actual text of the game. While pretty much every main character can have slightly-different dialogue in a Not-True-RESET, especially if the Player had previously befriended them, based on the idea that they have lingering memories/feelings from before the RESET - 

Sans has no real dialogue changes based on this conceit. All of his changes are based around noticing Frisk has different reactions based on their memories of the precious timelines. 

Other characters do also make observations like that about Frisk, like Mettaton and Toriel. But Sans is distinctive because this is the only way his comments change between RESETs and there are a lot of them from him.

Because that is what really frustrates me about this misconception. People mention it as one more thing that makes Sans cool - but the actual truth is far more badass. Sans is one of the people in the Underground who remembers RESETs the least. I think memory-resistance to RESETs is probably tied to Determination. Flowey, the second-most Determined person in the Underground after Frisk, can remember everything perfectly.

Everyone else has some vague feelings and deja vus. And Sans, he’s the least motivated person in the Underground - both in the sense he’s lazy and in the sense he’s fucking depressed.

That probably means he has very little Determination. Thus, he doesn’t remember anything that happens between RESETs.

And yet, he is still the character most aware of them. Because he has the technological know-how to read and analyze timelines.

And because he has the observation and analytical skill to notice a RESET from other people’s reactions and behavior. Whatever it’s Papyrus thinking he recognizes someone or Frisk’s behavior implying that they know something they shouldn’t have. Sans main RESET-related skill is just being able to identify these moments and come to the correct conclusion about them. And with that he manages to be the most aware character in the entire Underground.

Like, the one point where it might seem like Sans remembers something from a previous Timeline is the Fake Spare scene during his boss battle. 

But it’s all pretend. Unlike the previous lines from other characters that I mentioned, this dialogue plays even if the Murder Route is the first time the player touched the game. Sans isn’t remembering anything in this scene. But he makes an educated guess that the Immoral Time God probably tried using their powers for good at first, so they were likely ‘friends’ in a previous timeline. And in most cases, his guess is right on the money - tricking many players into thinking this is another case of the game actually reacting to their past actions.

And as always, Sans can only tell if his lil’ trick worked or not based on the expression of the Player Character.

Arguably, Sans even uses his lack of Determination and cross-RESET memory to his advantage in his boss battle. After all, the whole point of this fight isn’t to kill the Player - Sans understands this is impossible. This is a war of attrition, trying to get the Player so frustrated and annoyed with the unfair fight that they just ragequit or RESET the Timeline. And this war of the Player’s patience versus Sans’ stamina and will is infinitely easier for him when he doesn’t actually perceive all the Player’s previous attempts against him.

Like, for the Player this might be the billion time they go up against him, they’re aware of some of his patterns and tricks now but they’re probably also frustrated and angry and exhausted. Meanwhile, from Sans’ POV, this is still the first time this is happening. He knows it’s not from the Player’s behavior and Frisk’s expression - but he doesn’t feel it like the Player does. 

He doesn’t feel the frustration and repetition of the endless stalemate. So he’s always as fresh as a daisy no matter how rugged the Player is getting.

And that’s part of why Sans is so cool in the first place, like, in general. He’s technically the weakest person in the Underground, lacking in every standard evaluation of power in the setting - no ATK, no DEF, no HP, no DETERMINATION. But he’s darn clever enough to overcome these weaknesses and even use them in ways that make them into strengths, enough to be one of the most dangerous and most aware guys in this whole setting.

Sans can’t remember anything, and that makes him awesome.

Undertale characters see S/O break a bone and then S/O basically just does a Far Cry healing animation and doesn’t even care they got hurt.

Undertale Sans - He grabs your arm gently but firmly, with dark eye sockets. "b u d d y ? N e v e r d o t h a t a g a i n." He hated every second of it. What's wrong with you? Go to the hospital like a normal person, you're going to hurt yourself more.

Undertale Papyrus - He faints. First, the shock of seeing your leg on the wrong side triggered him, but you simply putting it back in place like it's nothing? That's too much man. He can take a lot of things, but this is a big no.

Undertale Toriel - .... She was about to heal you, that for sure stopped her dead in her tracks. She's speechless. And immediately turns into Goat Mom mode and starts lecturing you about how dangerous this is and how it could have hurt you even more. Now you sit down this instant and you let her heal you properly.

Undertale Asgore - He lived hundreds of years and still discovers new things. Though, that one is maybe a bit too much. The noise of the bone snapping back into place made him so uncomfortable he suddenly panics his way out of the house, pretending he needed to get groceries or something.

Undertale Undyne - She stares in awe for a few seconds. Then she explodes. "This was AWESOME. Do it AGAIN!!!" She's very excited about this. She's even ready to break your arm if you need it! Come on!

Undertale Alphys - The scientist in her leaves her body. Why even try? You clearly have no idea how to fix a bone. It's so dangerous and you just act like everything is alright now??? How??? You should be screaming in agony???

Undertale Frisk - Well they can do cool things too. Frisk immediately struggles to lick their elbow with all they have.

Undertale Chara - They roll their eyes at you. You think you're in a video game or something? They're not taking you to the hospital when you realize you're dying because of how painful this is. You did that to yourself.

Undertale Mettaton - He gasps, then runs to you with a camera. Can he break one of your bones so you can do it again and put it in his next movie? Please, please, please, pretty please....

Undertale Gaster - He hisses at you, all his goop puffing like an angry cat. This is the worst sound he has ever heard, please never do that again or he's going to blip into another dimension again!

Undertale Grillby - He stays neutral, but his fire body suddenly burns for real, which means you triggered him. And now the bar is on fire, and Sans is on fire, and all the customers are running in circles screaming for their lives. What have you done?

Undertale Muffet - No big deal, it happens all the time with her eight arms too. She doesn't even notice when one is broken with time, as she has seven other functioning ones. You're not special, who cares.

Undertale Burgerpants - Oh look at that. He's dating another weird person. Welp, that's official. He has a type apparently. He wishes he didn't have one. Why can't he date normal people who do things like normal people should?

Undertale Flowey - Did you just pull out the friendliness pellet he threw inside your arm with your teeth? "You can't do that! That's illegal! I just broke that bone, you can't fix it like it's nothing! Cheater!" He's so mad! Stop breaking his fun. He wants to kill you!

Undertale Gerson - He wiggles his eyebrows at you. You know his back is hurting as well, right? You know. A little trick like that could help like hell. Come on. Don't be shy.

Honestly, Sans is probably one of the most laid-back yanderes.

He's naturally lazy as is, which probably carries into his obsession.

I combined these two requests because I naturally default to a human darling when I write.

He would make a terrifying yet laid-back yandere due to the knowledge he holds.

Maybe he's even known you from other timelines, similar to other Sans AUs I've done.

Which may be an idea that feeds into his obsession.

Similar to canon Undertale Sans, I feel as a yandere he would be more than meets the eye.

To you he just seems like a laid-back protective skeleton that you naturally see around all the time.

He seems nice to be around and you just don't suspect anything weird.

Yet you have no idea how much he knows about you...

You have no clue about his powers, or how much he cares about you.

This probably isn't even the first time you two have met, but you don't know that, you wouldn't even understand it if he told you.

Truthfully, Sans has met you and fallen for you many times.

It's just after every reset... you never seem to remember fully.

That's one way to work for Sans, it works betters with a monster darling.

However, for a human darling you could view it like this.

Maybe you are a human with Frisk or even replace Frisk who thinks no one else knows about the resets.

Soon you'll find out that's untrue once Sans stops pretending he doesn't.

In fact, an even better idea is you keep resetting the timeline to try and fix Sans' obsession with you.

Soon you'll have to eventually tire out, right?

His obsession isn't going to go away... it'll just persist through timelines.

Just your luck.

But, enough of that, how is he as a yandere?

As said before, usually very docile at first.

He would treat you like any other human he's seen, even if it's all just an act.

Sans would be a very "casual" stalker.

He mostly stays out of sight due to his teleportation, but when he's caught he easily plays it off.

Oh, he was just check in on you.

He's just being a kind friend.

His more sinister behavior is unbelievable unless you actually see it.

For example, you do a Genocide Run.

You'd think he hates you after that, maybe somewhere in him he does, yet he can't seem to let this obsession go.

Definitely just follows you around it plays it off for the most part.

But I do think there's times he does get jealous to the point he feels he needs to step in.

Oh, is he interrupting something? Sorry!

Sans is around you all the time.

He is even capable of subtle threats towards other monsters, or maybe even you if you push him.

He is capable of using his powers, but would rather not resort to violence if he doesn't have to.

He prefers not to be like Chara.

I did say in other concepts that Sans would kidnap.

However I feel it would be a last ditch effort.

You'd have to make him desperate enough to do it as he is so laid-back.

Laid-back does not mean harmless.

Sans is capable of some heinous things, he just has self-control.

He wants you to have freedoms, unless you're going to hurt him in some way.

He may even pretend he's no longer madly in love with you after a reset to keep you around longer.

I just think the idea of Sans knowing more than he lets on like in canon is a fun idea to toy with when speaking about his obsession.

Truthfully, you are both the only ones aware of your resets.

So why bother resetting anymore?

No matter what you do... in some way Sans will love you.

So why not accept him?

He's sure he'll find some way to keep you in one timeline beside him.

After all, you drive him insane with every reset.

He doesn't understand what you want.

Sans loves you, he wants you...

One way or another he'll find a way to have you... even if it requires breaking that dreaded reset button or convincing you to stay with him willingly.

Yknow, despite how it is impossible by all Ingame options, I wonder how a neutral route with *ONLY* Sans (and Asgore ig) killed would look? Would he count enough as a boss monster (NOT a Boss Monster) to push it from a Queen Toriel ending to an Empress Undyne ending? How would Alphys react (She lost one of her closest friends, but she still has MTT and Undyne around.)? How would Papyrus react (Would he go full angst mode and try close away his heart? Would he become even more of a people pleaser, trying to make sure he doesn't repeat whatever mistake he made with you again? Would he go into denial mode, trying to find Flowey to set things right with him either finding him or not based on what Frisk choses after the FloweyX fight? So many choises), especially with how he seems to Know Something he doesn't let on. I'd imagine that (provided it's a Queen Toriel Ending) Undyne wouldn't be thar affected, sad that Papyrus lost a brother rather than sad that Sans died (she never is close with Sans. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't know him as more than "Papyrus weird brother" and "My sentry that works the ABSOLUTE bare minimum needed"). I don't think mettaton would appear or be affected, leaving the call pretty limited. So we have Papyrus and Maybe Undyne, with Papyrus probably being... kinda miffed that everything is going along the same, as if Everything hasn't changed. Bonus points if it's Post Dates, leaving a pretty aimless Undyne moving into Sans room, trying to fill a void that she never can. It isn't some threat she can suplex or teach to cook, it's the world being unfair.

(This also would give a pretty Unique Undyne state, being halfway between her "I don't like that you had to kill Asgore, but it's what you had to do" mindset and her more common "You betrayed me in such a soul crushing way it'll affect how I love forever" mindset in most Neutral Endings. I can imagine her actually trying to rationalise it, because the human only killed Asgore (sucks but she Gets It), and... Sans. The easiest enemy, one too weak to make it into the guard, and almost too weak to be a Sentry (Sans would have no reason to reveal Blasters, and his magic would barely scratch the TRUE HERO of the Underground when Karma is factored in. All she would see is surprisingly complex patterns that don't deal even a tenth of her hp). So surely, they had a reason, right? Why else would they do it?)

can't not confess I've thought about it too, but it IS really hard to extend as a concept because there's just... really no way for sans to die outside of the NM run. and I don't mean logistically, i mean character-wise he is so defined by his survival. by his Being There as everything falls apart. the final girl last man standing in the story. so the whole concept immediately falls apart.

undyne wouldn't personally grieve him, seeing as they didn't really know each other, but she WOULD still feel his death on her conscience as she does with every other monster killed in neutral runs. plus, there's her friendship with papyrus to emotionally aggravate things.

papyrus would definitely go into denial. he would be annoyed about him vanishing all of a sudden, then it'd turn to worry, then as his worries become more and more plausible, he'd shut out all rational thought about the subject and pretend everything is alright. i like the idea of him reaching out to flowey, but he'd try to explain his plan while also comtradicting himself all the time in order to never say outloud "sans is dead. we need to fix this"

betrayed undyne... yeah this is where it falls apart again, since you'd have to reason why sans would die (or even instigate a fight at all) in the final corridor during what has so far been a flawless pacifist run.

buuut pushing past the visceral resistance to the concept. i can easily see a scene where the betrayal pushes her to lose it and seek revenge like it does in normal neutral runs, and her looking to papyrus for training help/human destroying plans. and just... meeting a Wall of denial. that would be a harrowing talk. something people don't mention enough is that papyrus sees himself as sans' caretaker as much if not even more than sans does towards him. a world where sans is dead is a world where he failed his brother. it would devastate him. so he clings to anything not to think about it/delude himself. and here comes undyne ready to shatter that fragile hope. it would be a horrible moment between them

but yeah. everything aside, sans would straight up just not die lol.

Entirely inconsequential and very likely improbable undertale theory time!

Chara, given the Narrator!Chara theory is true, was the one to run away during the Undyne fight.

Evidence:

In a neutral run, Sans' Judgment Speech includes the following line of dialog ...

... even if you never run away from a single fight during random encounters.

The only character you HAVE to flee from is Undyne in order to get her to Hotland. It's also one of the few fights where Sans is physically present to witness (with the others being Gryftrot and Shyren, both of which can be ended through sparing). With no other examples, this has to be the running away Sans is referring to.

But, why in the world would Frisk be smiling?

This is the most dangerous, difficult battle Frisk has been in so far. It's the only boss fight, to that point anyway, where the attacker has genuine desire to see you dead. On top of that, Undyne comments on your actions throughout the battle - your sparing, your pleas, your determination. There's no way that she WOULDN'T comment on a smile unless she somehow missed it (say, you had your back to her).

On top of this, Frisk has never been described smiling except in reference to Chara during the genocide route, where both Monster Kid and Flowey comment on their "sick" and "creepy" expression, repeatedly telling you that the situation isn't funny- implying the iconic smile.

It's also been suggested that Chara tends towards smiling in stressful situations, so perhaps they realized that sticking around was bad news and tried getting Frisk to bolt by opening the FLEE option.

But getting past speculation, here's the slight bit of evidence I took and ran with:

The narration only speaks in the first person when Chara is the subject, sometimes in white text.

The ESCAPE dialog, though typically basic, will occasionally read:

...entirely in the first person.

This is also the only time the RED soul does anything interesting, unlike the others, who each have special properties in battle. (BLUE has gravity, GREEN heals and keeps you in a closed space, YELLOW shoots, PURPLE traps, ORANGE punches and moves, CYAN is still until its safe to move). It's possible that DETERMINATION, or RED, has the ability to use MERCY in battle or, at the very least, FLEE, given that the soul changes to have legs.

With all this put together, there's at least some chance that Chara stepped in during the Undyne fight to allow the option to flee. Perhaps the soul resists Undynes' magic in some way? After all, she has no reason at all to turn Frisks soul from Green to Red, especially after the first time they escape. Maybe it's just too difficult to keep a constant hold on them, so she relents for brief periods until she can gather her strength again? This would explain her frustration with Frisk running away, but her apparent inability to do anything about that as the fight progresses. It would also explain why Sans mentions Frisk smiling when fleeing her.

While this is mostly just a fun idea that adds to Frisk and Chara's dynamic and makes a funny scene, it could have further implications. For example, it might imply that Frisk's choices are given to them by Chara. This might explain the repaired MERCY button during Asgore's fight. It would also suggest that Chara is constantly supplying Frisk with helpful information on the underground and the monsters, including peaceful pathways to resolve conflict (because honestly, most people encountering a weird alien creature trying to steal you soul would not immediately think that Flirting with or being cleaned by them would lead to success).

What do you think? I personally highly doubt this was intentional and was just a throw-away line for dramatics on Sans' part, but I also like to think that the dialog and set designs are very literal and reflect a wider world/ story. Please let me know your interpretation!

So I was thinking about Mettaton, and something hit me

Mettaton Neo has a very angelic design. I may be stretching it, but considering what a certain other angel looks like

The resemblance is very much there. Mettaton's Ex and Neo forms look far more human than anything or anyone in the underground, including Frisk themselves during the Genocide run. Mettaton Neo is specifically a form used in a last case scenario to stop you. Now depending on how you view the Neo form, this can probably mean a few things. My two cents is that its Mettaton trying to keep himself and you fooled. Mettaton first and foremost is a showman. He's a TV star, and even if he may no longer have an audience, there's no way he's going off air lying down.

Now why would this relate to his Neo form resembling the Angel? Well he's bluffing, whether intentionally or not he is bluffing. He can't beat you, and deep down I think he knows too. The best he can do is stall for time to get as many people out and evacuated as possible, to inspire hope. Its why he stays in the underground, and its what he's good at: inspiring. So he fights you and blocks your path, in the face of a demon he uses the visage of an Angel as the last line of defense for Monster kind. Undyne has fallen, the Asgore will fall too, but Mtt cannot let the monsters hopes die too. It uses a bunch of leitmotifs, and one of which is Bergentrückung, the other theme of someone who tried to bring hope to the Monsters, and the theme of who will fall after Mtt. This is also apparent with how Power of Neo is a more techno Mtt themed version of BAATH to begin with. Notice how it only uses the first part of the loop, it doesn't go on and doesn't continue Power of Neo fully. It doesn't have the full meaning of Mettaton's heroic sacrifice to help people, as instead of an Angel to save the Underground, Spamton is that Angel of Death in Undertale's prophecy (in the Snowgrave route anyway). Like Mettaton, Spamton also uses the visage of an Angel to achieve a goal, but no matter what route it is its a dark perversion of Mettaton's goals. Mettaton wanted to inspire the Underground and achieve his dreams, trying to stall and kill Frisk to either save them from Asgore, or save the survivors from You. Spamton wanted his freedom and attacks and tries to kill Kris for their soul so he can be free. He also assists in the Snowgrave route, being an accomplice to many many deaths for 15 minutes of fame. This idea is more properly conveyed in the last parts of Big Shot with the use of Power of Neo. Oh yeah this was a Mettaton analysis whoopsie Ok so I know this was a Mettaton Neo thing at the start but man I just wanted to gush and gush about Mettaton cuz man I really can't get enough of him. He's the only one of two characters in Undertale to directly have connections with the Angel prophecy when it isn't just the Delta Rune itself, he inadvertantly saved the Underground because he's what made Alphys get the Royal Scientist posi--OH WAIT YEAH THATS SOMETHING I CAN TALK ABOUT OK SO SIDE TANGENT METTATON UNINTENTIONALLY SAVED THE UNDERGROUND AND I FIND THAT REALLY REALLY COOL! Because Alphys used Mettaton as a project to show to Asgore to become the Royal Scientist, this let Alphys work on the amalgamates and also create Flowey. Without Flowey, the barrier wouldn't have broken and no one would have been freed. Yes I know this isn't all solid since Mettaton didn't somehow cause 6 random kids fall down but you get the idea. Mettaton transitioning saved the world totally I NEED MORE METTATON AUS GRHEYCGDHWUDYGHJWYDH IM GOING TO GO FERAL!!! HE'S NEEDS IT AHHHHHHH!! Ts!Underswap is honestly amazing for Mettaton. I mean Mettacrit. He doesn't get his JoJo body, but is that going to stop him? OF COURSE NOT!

HE'S METTACRIT! AIN'T NO ONE STOPPING HIS DREAMS! He's also a wonderful little gist of Mettaton's whole character, just get rid of Alphys (sadly). Someone who wants to achieve their dreams, wanting to share the love and kindness around, with of course the sassy show stealing charm he needs.

But what if that wasn't so easy

I MAY BE READING TOO FAR INTO THIS BUT I LOVE METTATON GAMMA SO MUCHHHH Its still our same ol Mettaton, but now his dreams are falling on deaf ears. He's Spamton in nature instead of Fabulous. Everyone is violent and blood hungry, so a simple cooking show with a touch of murder won't be enough, or another beautiful rendition of Oh My Love~! Its clear (to me anyway) that Mettaton in this au is nowhere near as big a star as he is in the normal Undertale continuity. In his intro monologue he brags about the audience he brought in, and during the fight he's much more focused on what the Audience wants rather than the show HE wants. Something OUR Mettaton just wouldn't do. This is the same sexy rectangle who basically just broadcasts whatever he wants. I forgot the exact dialogue and screenshot but its just not something Undertale Mettaton really does. Underfell though? A different story. He's bound to his viewers in a bad way till Frisk comes along. He's even more bound to Alphys in this AU as her little science fair project. GOD I LOVE THIS GAME ITS WHAT I'D WANT FROM AN ACTUAL UNDERFELL GAME! Oh my god I haven't even talked about Deltarune Mettaton and Mike and how that works OK SO THIS IS ENTERING MY PERSONAL FANON BUT Y'know how Spamton and Mettaton have their parallels? Y'know how the internet has been down in Deltarune?

Chapter 3's dark world is definitely TV themed, there's no way it can't. I know Tenna is the big TV related baddie now, but Im using Mike in this take. If Spamton is the more passive parallel to Mettaton, Mike in this chapter 3 take would be the darker direct parallel. Instead of the dreamer from humble beginnings who, even if he can be vain and self centered at times, still means well deep down like Mettaton is, Mike would be the cynical producer type who's fueling problems in the industry to make it big on top. A dark Mettaton if you will. Basically like this

okok the first one is like the factions and their own ideas and the little diamonds are if they're friends/like Sans and Core frisk (also doesnt care and doesnt give afuck are different cause of vibes)

The second is positive prevalent relationships

The third is negative prevalent relationships

The fourth is the closest thing i can like to a ship with sanses, i don't necessarily like them as together romantically but yeah, those are the ones i may like the most

If they're not marked on any relationship positive or negative then they're probably neutral or have never met and/or wasn't too important

It's really funny that the only one black is dream and Nightmare cause, dream still cares about him yk, he's his BROTHER (or that's what he thinks at least) but at the same time Nightmare hates him, and is doing all these horrible things and Dream has to deal with it and fight his brother. Dream had to go on a multiversal war cause of that fucker. But at the same time it's his brother. There has to be the nightmare he knows somewhere in there.

Also most of them hate/dislike nightmare, fresh and error even if i didn't put it down

       "Mom!"

       The watering can falls from your hand at the sound of that voice. It clatters and the little water left splashes your shoes as it hits the rocky floor, yet you can't care less about picking it up when you see Frisk running towards you, their arms outstretched, smile radiant, and eyes glossy. You push yourself off the ground, though with struggle as your legs shake and give in from anticipation. It takes a few more seconds of stumbling until you're finally able to stand up straight, and – by the time you do – they're already in your arms, their light weight barely making you budge regardless of your current, weak self. Everything around you: the garden, the fountain, the picnic table, and even your own body feel unearthly, and you're certain it'll all end the moment you take too long to blink.

       "Words can't describe how much I've missed you, dear," you state, almost in a whisper when you fail to raise your voice, sorrow making it difficult to do without breaking.

       You hug Frisk as tight as the knot on your chest. Tears rush down, staining your arms until you hide your face against their shoulder and squeeze all your distress away. They feel fragile in your grasp, and fleeting, too – like letting go will cause them to crumble, then disappear. As much as you don't want to, you still begin to loosen up bit by bit until your embrace is a gentler touch, almost ghostly. Then, you pull back and wipe your face with a handkerchief you retrieve from your pocket, and offer your child another when you notice they're in a similar state, although not as bad as your own. Even if it isn't real, the last thing you wish is to let them see you somber. That's about the least you can do to make up for how many faults you've found while analyzing the reasons they went missing under your care.

       "hey, kid. where'd ya run off to? ya can't just-"

       Your arms act instinctively at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, these wrapping firm around Frisk again, like a snake with a hamster, minus the intent to cause any harm.

       "oh."

       The person behind that voice stands at the entrance of the garden, and – while you try your best not to – your mind ends up jumping to negative conclusions when you see just what type of monster he is.

       "Stay back!" Fearing the dream has become a nightmare, you close your eyes and squeeze Frisk harder, yet you soon loosen when they gasp for a breath. "And state your reason for visiting first."

       "well…"

       You hear footsteps, but you refuse to look at him.

       "i'm sans, one of your kid's friends from the underground," he says. "frisk told us they couldn't stay with tori, since they've got another mom up here, and now here i am. they gave me your address, we gathered some info to make sure you were still around, and then i drove us here. the rest of the convent interrogated me before they told me to go straight to the garden, so you can ask 'em if you're suspicious." There's a brief spell of peace and quiet as you hear him debate about something with himself. "sorry if this's kinda nosy, but…" There's a long pause in his words. "how does that work, exactly? you havin' a kid, i mean. aren't nuns supposed to be married to, uh, god, and not, well… a husband?"

       You scoff and feel your face form a glower on its own. "I'm not married, and Frisk isn't my biological child, though… I don't really see that detail as relevant to my love for them." Your fingers bury into Frisk's hair as you stroke their bangs away and kiss their forehead. "It matters not whether they're biologically mine."

       They shift, kiss your cheek, and push you aside, then tug at your sleeve persistently, insisting without a word for you to address the elephant in the room.

       You sigh, breathe back in, and open your eyes.

       It's impossible not to flinch when you take a better look at the monster: far less daunting than you were expecting, but still the most unnatural thing you've witnessed since having to interfere with a violent human at the front of the orphanage. The skeleton wears a black suit with hints of red, and the grin he carries appears shielded with dishonesty, contrasting with his direct and unwavering stare. Though the feeling of uneasiness differs from peering into the eyes of someone who has no fear of taking a life away, gazing into his irises still brings about uncertainty. You can't digest how detailed his body is, and how what little bones are exposed from his suit move in sync with each step he takes. It's like watching the most realistic, computer-generated creature in the real world rather than in film. What makes it a chilling experience is that he's actively acknowledging your presence, and that his irises follow your movements as you dust your clothes and fix yourself up after the messy hug. 

       He's not much taller than you or even Frisk, and yet...

       You feel small, and how broad his body seems contributes to that.

"They had gone missing three months ago, and I…" You bring your hands together and bite back another tear, then face the ground to avoid meeting with what looks like Death, but formally dressed. "I can't express how much I grieved over their disappearance." Momentary courage allows you to look at him directly. "Who are you to my child? And… Who is this 'Tori' person?"

       A chilly breeze of awareness arrives when you unclasp your hands and stare at your palms to see traces of soil smeared on your skin, most of it you believe is now wiped off on Frisk's attire.

       "Frisk!" you exclaim, eyes broadening as you look next to you. "I forgot I-"

       They're already standing in front of the skeleton, with their arms fully extended as they wait while he searches through his suitcase.

       He retrieves a full set of clothes, a hair pin, and a stuffed teddy bear, then pats their head before they run off inside the church.

       If you were jumpy before – even with the company of Frisk – now being alone with the skeleton leads to your body turning awfully rigid, and for a stiffer silence to build up between you.

       "do ya have some time to spare, miss?" he asks, zipping the suitcase closed and throwing it over his shoulder. "i needa talk to ya 'bout Frisk."

       This has to be a dream, at least.

       There's no way you're staring at a breathing, moving, talking skeleton who'd somehow been left in charge of sending Frisk off towards you.

       You should've known today wasn't real since the local news announced that a large crowd of monsters of all shapes and kinds had emerged from the Underground, like some sort of Halloween Horror film.

       "It's my first time seeing them in months," you reply, narrowing your eyes at him. "Of course, I do!" You stare at your hands again. "But... Could you allow me a minute to wash up?" Then, you glance at your uniform. "I've been gardening since early morning."

       Whether this is all a dream or a nightmare, you should at least look presentable for either outcome.

       "sure." He shrugs. "take your time."

       You throw half a strawberry at a bird in your garden, lured by the sweet scents of the food you've set up on the table.

       It flies off back into a tree when it picks up the treat, and – when you're positive there's no other hungry animal waiting nearby – you throw the other half on the flowers and watch as the leaves rustle and stop when reaching the spot.

       Your next chore is to wash your hands by the faucet near the garden and continue setting up the rest of the table when you return.

       "ya know," Sans says, sitting on the chair you gesture him over to. "from what frisk told me about you, i was kinda expectin' a lady older than tori herself."

       You finish pouring tea to look at him and lift an eyebrow. "Pardon?" 

       Although left without an answer, you push on by arranging some shortbread cookies and thinly sliced fruit on a pair of ceramic plates while you wait for him to say something.

       He's observing your every move, and there's a limit to how much of that you can tolerate, but fear causes you to keep your mouth shut and carry on.

       "and it makes a lotta sense."

       "...Care to elaborate, sir?"

       Still being out in the garden is what has kept you sane this whole time. Were you in an enclosed space with the skeleton, you wouldn't have lasted a second. There's just something wrong about looking at him and being aware he's a living creature – that he has a human's level of intelligence, and that he's judging you for acting like an old lady in spite of being in your twenties. You want this to end, yet if this is your punishment for not being a good enough mother, then you're bound to push on. You just have to be patient. And you just have to try not to… widen your eyes every occasion you figure out anything new about him. The basics – while covered – are already overwhelming on their own, but actually seeing him laugh and joke around like any other human drives you mad.

       "you're makin' me tea, servin' me cookies, insistin' ya do every little thin' yourself," he says, touching a finger from his right hand with his left index finger for each observation he lists, "you're good with birds – probably other animals, too, and you're wearin' a type of dress only someone over her sixties would wear," he remarks, unwinding with a breath out when he shows all those statements take up his entire hand, "that's already five things, and i'm barely just gettin' to know ya. when did ya start out as a nun, anyway?"

       Porcelain and ceramic clink as you set what's now unneeded away and leave only the cookies, fruit, tea, and communion items out on the table.

       "Since my eighteenth birthday. It's been thirteen years."

       You prepare the communion, first by setting aside a piece of sacramental bread, and then a small portion of grape wine in a paper cup.

       "whoa." He whistles. "since that early?"

       You ignore his comments while you finish setting everything else up, the last thing being to bless both the food and the communion. You then stand up, pick up the tray with the bread and wine, and offer it to him. How fast your heart races makes it so that your fingers shake as you grab the bread.

       "Open your, um…" You frown. "How does your skull work?"

       "you can touch, if you wanna."

       Your eyes glue to his face, and inordinate curiosity fights with basic decency. He's a stranger, and yet he's being as casual as you would expect an old friend to be. You want to ask him to stop – that his existence alone as a skeleton is still something you're barely getting adjusted to, but common sense and more than enough years of your work in the convent have taught you better than that. Just as you're adjusting to him, he's likely doing with you and Frisk. Expecting him to act all formal would be rude, as would be him asking you to be casual around him. That's for friends, not strangers. Though if this really isn't some sort of Telephone game version of the classic Alice in Wonderland tale, then you hope you can both get used to one another later on.

       "I shouldn't." Your gaze stays on his face. "But, then again…"

       He chuckles, and his irises lighten up, something you've now associated with him being either happy or amused.

       "Are you sure?"

       "go wild."

       You touch his cheekbone and press your thumb against it. The texture's similar to semi-hardened clay, and you leave a mark on his skull, though it fades after a few seconds. Worry stays at the thought of hurting him, so you brush your fingers at that spot again, softer this time. 

       "That's…" You pull back. "That's... interesting?"

       He winks. "and you're great at describing it."

       You stay quiet and shake your head, at a loss for words for what you feel to be the third occasion today – and it's still only one in the afternoon!

       His teeth part as you move on to what you were doing. Despite physical contact, your heart's calmed down more, and you can stare at him for longer without questioning reality and science. With a long and steady breath, plus the reminder to keep calm, you pick up the bread again and drop it on…

       …his tongue (?), then watch as he chews it and passes it down with the wine.

       This is normal.

       You're not delusional.

       And the news report is completely legitimate.

       What you have to do is convince yourself to believe all that.

       "thanks for sharing a part of your world with me." He grins. "and for the blessin', too."

       "It's not much, sir." You smile. "I'm... only thankful you've brought Frisk here, safe and sound."

       His expression glooms on par with his posture. 

       Meanwhile, you set the tray back down and sit on the bench across from him.

       The garden feels too calm now, as if nature itself has sensed the monster's shift in mood. You're tempted to ask him directly about what's brought about such a sudden change, yet you know you're in no place to do that. Frisk is sleeping off the exhaustion from their journey in the security of their bedroom, meaning that asking them to do it is completely out of the question – not to mention, you don't want them to do the work for you, nor impose anything as complicated as this on them. Growing restless, you pick up a cookie from your plate and munch on it during your wait. The amount of time that passes on is sufficient for you to eat two more, and even drink your first cup of tea.

       "uh, yeah…" he says, mumbling. "'bout that…"

       His gaze lifts from the grass to your eyes. 

       "frisk might've technically... died a few times during their journey through the underground. the only reason they're still alive is cuz of how things worked down there. didn't wanna pull that sorta bandage off so quickly, but i figured you should know this first before they tell ya about their experiences."

       "...Wh- What?" you snap, standing up. "Is that supposed to be a joke?"

       "afraid it isn't."

       The last thing you can register as anger overcomes your heart is the sound of the tea cup hitting the ground with a crash, sending shards flying across the floor.

       You march off towards him, stand in front, and point at the door leading out of the garden.

       "Get the hell out of my church, you sick-minded beast!"

       "please, let me explai-"

       "Get. Out."

       All you see is red as you lunge at the monster and grab him by his shirt's collar, lifting him off the chair.

       Him weighing no more than Frisk allows you to take him to the nearest wall and slam him against it.

       "...A bandage?" You cackle, disbelief manifesting through the noise. He doesn't struggle, so you pick that up as a sign for you to tug at him harder. "My child died, and you call that ripping off a mere bandage?" You press yourself against him when he starts to shift.

       "there's more i-"

       You cut him off again by tugging his tie along with the rest of his shirt.

       "Shut up," you shout. "If this is a nightmare, you're more than welcome to disappear and let me go back to sleep. I... I want you out of my damn sight the second I release you!"

Am I the only one who thinks that maybe Chara was controlled by us? The player? Because during the story, Chara is all the sudden good? they are now a skelton and Asriel is back as well. What is the cause of that? Why is Chara all the sudden good? Is there a plot twist waiting to happen? I'm sorry I watched Miamouse's videos and this was in my head for a while. I might have to watch them again. Lol.

Chara wasn't suddenly turned good. They've changed wildly over the course of their life and un-life and re-life. But the change was never all at once. It was a series of large and small shifts. It was like...

Before falling underground: Humanity is cruel and horrible and I no longer see the point in living.

After falling underground: Monsters are good and wonderful and I would do anything to help them. Also, the only way monsters can live in peace is if all of humanity was killed off first. Asriel doesn't get it now, but he'll understand when he sees their cruelty firsthand.

After dying: Asriel betrayed me. Asgore is a murderer now, and Toriel has forgotten about both me and Asriel. I realize now that both humans and monsters are equally messed up. I'm so upset.

Frisk first appears: Oh! A person who am somehow connected to. They're naive and helpless. They'll clearly die without my help. I'll help them fight for their survival.

Genocide Run Happens: *EXP-induced manic murdermode happens*

After Genocide Run: Wh-What? h- ...What the hell's going on??? Frisk! How dare you! (Frisk suddenly can't hear them) Stop ignoring me!!

After Pacifist Run: I now realize that there is a small but not insignificant chance that I'm wrong. I also respect Frisk now because of all they accomplished. So I will not reset the timeline. In fact I will make sure nobody ever resets the timeline again.

Red Echoes: Ah! Frisk! We meet again! Time for you to stop running from the reality of what happened in the Genocide Run. I fully expect this to break you. Oh wow now Sans is here. Well I'll just possess him cause I can do that now. This is a great idea I won't quickly come to regret AAAAAA!!! Okay Frisk, that was weird, but I think it's only a matter of time before you realize I'm right and the world sucks. It didn't work with Asriel but I think it'll work with you because..... Hey why is Flowey talking like Asriel? I hate that! I'm leaving!

Goopster Arc: So we're connected to another world for the time being. I'm going to find my other self and compare notes. They brought Lucida back to life, so maybe I can come back to life too? That's what I'm secretly hoping anyway. I'm also still shook because of Flowey acting weird.

MWSIH!Chara: You're an idiot and I'm embarrassed on your behalf. Asriel's soul is inside yours and you don't even notice you dumbass cringefail.

Maverick Appears Arc: Now another Asriel is here. I had a conversation with him and now I'm realizing how deeply I miss Asriel. Oh well, my new Calalied persona is prepared and now I'll be able to secretly hang with Frisk and........??? profit.....?? Anyway I'm definately doing this for an evil plan and not because I secretly want to be a normal kid who goes to school and has friends. >.>

Drunk Chara Arc: Another me. Time to compare notes again. ...Wait now they're unknowingly confronting me about my insecurities. Time to fall back into my old pattern of being scary and threatening! How dare they act like they're better than me! ......Okay now I'm reliving my deep dark traumas. .......Okay now I'm pretty certain that I'm an actual piece of garbage. I wish I could just forget it all...

Monsterland Arc: Hi I'm Calalied, a skeleton with no trauma. :D ...................................... Wait ....... Oh ... Nevermind I remembered the trauma again. ........ASRIEL???

Now: Okay, looking back at all that, I've come to the conclusion that people are actually a mix of bad and good. I've been given a rare chance at a new life, and I don't want to waste it. So I'm going to try my best to be happy, and to not cause harm to the people around me. Sans will probably never forgive me, and I'm frankly scared of him, but I also don't really blame him. But at least Asriel's here. I'm very happy about that.

I love the mixture of Soriel and Dadster, the very idea of Sans being a stay at home dad trying to train his father how everyone's lunches are made, while Gaster is taking notes on it, is funny to me, like:

Hihi!! This is a blog dedicated to (mostly) the Fallen Stars, 2019-2021 Version!

This is kinda like an FAQ thing, tho I take it more as "For (almost) All Questions" than "Frequently..."

Asks are open!

Warnings are at the bottom of the post, before the "About the Admin", sorry!

I use mostly what I have from the Gacha community from back then as inspiration/goals for them/etc, tho they have a bit more character than just "emo uwu baby" or the like! I still place a lot of their characters into the old tropes.

This also means they don't follow the truly canon characters! A lot of it is made up and fanonised!

Another factor into this is that I also cannot find a lot of canon information to ALL these characters in the time span that I'd still be motivated to even do this, as it takes a lot of time. So it's headcanons and fanon mixed!

There are two Chara's and Frisk's in this team, one pair are adults and dating Sans (19 y/os) + she/her pronouns, the other pair is small Frisk and Ghost!Chara who both use they/them! Also I mix a lot of the ideas people have/had for both Star Sanses and Fallen Stars, this meaning the team'll end up pretty big!

This is like found family trope but instead of them just having a "family type" they're also dating kinda! Like a really big poly but unknowingly from some sides! They're confused but they got the spirit!

Small Character introductions here!

Shattered/Dream; a kind-hearted spirit and prior Positive Guardian that has fallen due to his brothers hatred towards him, and several other factors. No one besides the team knows he is corrupted. (he/him)

Ink; after his friends' disappearance and other friends' crash in the antivoid, his vials had been taken away. Occasionally at Error's for fights or "fights" still (he/they)

Blueberror; prior Swap, after being (more or less) forced to stay in the antivoid for just too long he has glitched out and became this version. Mocks Error often and has taken on a slight parental role, just more strict and rude. (he/him)

Unlust/Cher; used to be Lust, but after Events in his au and with Red, an underfell sans, she stepped up for themself and went with Yanberry into the Fallen Stars. His LV has changed her body drastically. She's also the tallest. (any pronouns)

Yanberry; named Blueberry prior to seeing his brother killed in front of her by his Chara. After the reset, he had somehow kept his memory, making him go mad and kill almost everyone in her AU. Shattered had found him and brought him into the Team while he was stalking Dust. (he/him w occasional she/her)

Frisk; since she is now an adult, she is casually dating Sans and Chara. Often goes onto "missions" with the team. She's more or less of a hypocrite and a bit mean, tho she tries to be nice still. Will attack you if you try and hurt Sans. (she/her)

Chara; since she is now an adult, she also started casually dating Sans and Frisk. She feels bad for what happened, and the yellow flowers blooming on her head are a constant reminder of her wrong-doings. (she/her)

Little Frisk/Fry; they're a little sweetheart! But they're also dangerous. Don't step on the bugs they'll kill you for harming their friends :( (they/them)

Ghost!Chara/Charm; they're nice, but also like your intrusive thoughts. And they don't leave Fry alone ever. Also their crush is chocolate fyi (they/them)

Cor!Classic; not a lot is known about him. all we know is he's LV20 and dangerous. (he/him)

Honorable Character mentions:

Sci (neutral ground), Outer (occasionally drops by), Core (had no true choice), Ghost!Dream (from another dimension)

The Bad-Now-Good Guys:

Nightmare; Usually really mean and rude, but is also the only one allowed to hurt Dream. Could possibly corrupt back but doesn't due to fear, most likely.

Killer; more of a malevolent person to the Stars. Knows Cross's dirty little secret but keeps shut about it so he stays still about his own. Nightmare's right hand

Horror; Usually stays at Farm's place, but is also still more than not in the castle, usually by Murder's side. Keeps out of missions a lot but is pretty brutal when it comes to it.

Dust; A somewhat nicer version of Murder. Unaware of Yanberry's stalking&yandere behaviour towards him.

Murder; Stays with Horror a lot. His face is just gone and it unnerves Yan. Just as brutal as Horror and Killer, with LV20.

Cross; Stayed by Nightmare due to not wanting to come over as a traitor. However he is a traitor by simply dating/loving Dream. Keeps undercover.

Honorable Character mentions:

Error (doesn't care a lot), Farm (kind, neutral side character), Color (tries salvaging Killer, it doesn't work)

I might end up drawing human version instead of skeletons, and this doesn't really have a lot of big meaning, I just felt like drawing humans that day XD

Dust and Murder are two seperate Dust's/Murder's to me. This is why Yanberry can stalk Dust while Murder will be left untouched by this.

This account will mostly run off asks, so sending them in, no matter what they may be, is appreciated!

Also if there's text instead of a drawing to an ask, then that day I wanted to reply but could not find the energy to draw one! It's not because I favour anyone, I just have changing energy/motivation.

Can I have Emperess Undyne ending where the skeleton are forced to join the Royal Guard to prepare for the war to come?

Undertale Sans - He understands his brother wants to prove to Undyne he's more than worthy to enter the guard, but that's his dream, not Sans'. Sans is not a soldier, and many hours of training won't change that. He doesn't want this war anyway. The kid made some mistakes, sure, but that doesn't mean all of humanity has to die. He prefers to disappear and goes to live with Toriel in the Ruins. At least she doesn't want to commit genocide.

Undertale Papyrus - At first, he was excited! Undyne is finally noticing he has the skills for the job, and he's doing very good in training, to the point she thinks of promoting him as captain. But... You know, annihilating an entire species just because of old legends and what Frisk did to some of his friends seems a bit extreme. He tries to reason Undyne at time goes by, but when he realizes she's too far gone, he decides to drop his position. He doesn't want to become a mass murderer or die stupidly because Undyne has no idea how many humans there are outside. When she starts calling Sans a traitor for refusing to fight, that's his limit. Papyrus decides that if she wants to arrest his brother, she'll have to arrest him too. Between his family and his best friend, he will always choose his family, even if it hurts.

Underswap Sans - Blue is agreeing with Alphys plan. He's too angry at Chara to be reasonable at this point, and Alphys makes sure he doesn't change his mind by manipulating him. In months, he becomes one of the best warriors of the Underground, but he has to sacrifice his relationship with his brother in the process. Honey can't understand. Unfortunately, by the time he realizes he has lost his brother, Alphys already convinced him it's for the best.

Underswap Papyrus - He's devastated and lost. He's not a fighter. He hates fighting. He's dragged into training, but he hates every second of it, slowly giving up on everything. When he tries to reach his brother to make him understand how wrong all of this is, he realizes Blue completely falls under Alphys' influence. Powerless, he could only watch as his brother completely gave up on him as well. Not so long after, disgusted, Honey fled the army, becoming a war criminal. He found a welcoming home in the Ruins, with Asgore, who assured him he made the best choice in this situation. He's still bitter. He hopes his brother will soon realize how wrong he is.

Underfell Sans - Like hell, he's going to fight. Now that Asgore is dead, he refuses to be dominated by another monster ever again. For someone who wanted to change the Underground, her little plan sounds awfully familiar to Asgore's one, and that's bullshit. Red keeps going with his life, completely ignoring the letters asking him to show up for training. He gets arrested a few months later, and then executed. He doesn't even care in the end.

Underfell Papyrus - He wanted to help Undyne, but then she executed his brother behind his back. This is over. Edge doesn't trust her anymore, and he refuses to serve a Queen who pretends she doesn't even know she made her brother get executed. On the first occasion, Edge tries to assassinate her. He doesn't care if he fails or not.

Horrortale Sans - Lol. She just made a massive hole in his head, like hell he's going to follow anything she says. She can still try to force him. He'll show her the skeleton she left for dead but still knows how to fight. He already took half of her face, he's not scared of her anymore.

Horrortale Papyrus - He can't say he's not surprised that after the famine and everything that happened already, Undyne decided to start a war. That's the moment Willow realized he lost his best friend for good. Undyne is too far gone, there's nothing to be done anymore. He has to resign himself to do the right thing, for the Underground, even if it's not easy. Undyne has to go.

Swapfell Sans - Alphys soon realizes that Nox is loyal to the Queen. But he is certainly not loyal to her. As a general he has a better view than she has on the situation: it's suicide and he doesn't want anything to do with her stupid plan. He has enough years of service to retire anyway. Good luck with that, he's done with the Royal Guard.

Swapfell Papyrus - He's grateful his brother didn't follow Alphys. He's not either. He joins the resistance instead, to find another way out of this. He's sure starting a war won't help anyone, and he prefers to die a traitor than some dog slave she's going to send die for her.

Fellswap Gold Sans - Alphys is clever and knows she has no chance to convince Wine to join her. She knows also that if he can find a way to take her throne, he will. So she tries to assassinate him. It fails miserably as Wine obviously knew already she was going to do that. He goes to challenge her in a fight and kills her instead like a true warrior should.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Well, nothing changes for him. Wine is still protecting him from the world. He can tell something bad is happening, but when he tries to know what's going on, Wine blocks the way. Maybe it's for the best. Even though not knowing is stressing him out, finding out about the situation would make him freak out even more.

I'm pretty sure them sharing is just... Cross. So here's what I got!

Yandere! X-Tale/X-Event! Chara + X-Tale Sans Sharing a Darling

(FT. X! Frisk and Cross mentioned)

Pairing: Romantic/Platonic - Sharing

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Yandere Sharing, Possessive behavior, Overprotective behavior, Kidnapping, Vague yandere themes, Dubious companionship/relationship.

The thing is, X! Sans doesn't really come into play until Chara becomes the X-Event with Frisk.

So the most likely situation, without any AUs, would be them going obsessive over you as Cross.

Which... would just be a Cross concept.

So, here's my idea.

This idea would lead into a Cross concept, but Cross won't be the focus this time.

However... them sharing would eventually lead into Cross.

I'm going to imagine that you're in timeline X or at least are a visitor.

Chara most likely gets attached first then Sans does.

Stuff like this gets complicated since Frisk is part of the X-Event... and then Cross happens... it's a mess.

So~ Let's me try my best.

You are most likely part of the X-Timeline.

Chara is currently known as the X-Event with Frisk and they start as your "friends".

In reality they both have seen countless copies of you... but despite their negativity, they still find some care for you.

Sans, naturally due to the Timeline, also sees you as a childhood friend.

You grew up alongside the "two" and you know nothing of the whole OVERWRITE and RESET thing.

Sans didn't know anything about it until the X-Event used OVERWRITE on him.

Chara is the one that cares for you the most, but Frisk naturally also cares about you.

It's just Chara is the one who interacts with you more often through Frisk.

Sans grows closer to you since you're so close with the X-Event.

Poor you would expect nothing until things go down.

What I imagine is during the events of Timeline X, Chara knows that they can't play this game much longer.

They need to get rid of Gaster... and they need to use Sans to do it.

Plus, Chara knows once he gets rid of Gaster... he can have his happy ending with you.

Meanwhile, Sans has no clue and just grows attached to you naturally.

He just thinks he has a small crush on his best friend.

Has since he was small... until Chara enacts his plan as the X-Event.

Now... does it even matter?

I like to think they both like you to some degree but don't decide on sharing until the very end of the timeline.

When Chara (as X-Event) uses OVERWRITE and tells Sans everything, he also admits he knows about how Sans feels towards you.

Sans is nervous and stressed about the whole situation... even more so when Chara admits they feel a similar way towards you.

But they won't hurt Sans... no... in fact, if the skeleton aids them in taking down Gaster...

They'll share, no matter what.

Which leads into the final battle, the universe and timeline are destroyed, leaving only Chara and Sans as Cross.

Perhaps they think you died but you managed to flee to the Omega Timeline for refuge?

That, or you are also in that void of a universe with them... just them.

That's an idea of how things can play out.

In terms of behavior?

Chara is sadistic and teasing, while Sans is compassionate albeit a bit stressed/worried.

I like to imagine later on they meet you as Cross and both of them break down.

They thought you died.

Now the two are one being... which somewhat makes it easier to share if they aren't squabbling for control.

That's most likely the peak of them sharing without going too much into Cross and Season 2.

They're definitely compatible with sharing an obsession due to this existence of Cross.

But Chara certainly wants control more often.

Chara comes off as cruel at times, often toying with you due to his nature.

But Sans/Cross comforts you, trying to explain that Chara is just... like that.

Chara is cruel at times but he wouldn't want to hurt you too much.

Chara and Sans still have their little deal as Cross, they can share you.

Safe to say they still want to create their "perfect" universe with you.

It doesn't matter who dies, it doesn't matter if you run...

They'll find you... even if it requires being covered in the blood of other universe copies.

You'll be living with them in their new universe and they will share you just as they share their own body...

It doesn't matter what you think, in their eyes you always belonged with them... no one else.

Undertale and deltarune characters driving headcanons

Frisk(if they were 18):

Frisk would not be driving, they wouldnt get a permit, they dont find it useful

Chara(if they were 18):

Same as frisk they wouldn't try to get a permit because asriel has already one and theyll always ask asriel to get them somewhere

Kris(if they were 18):

Same as chara and frisk, the kfc gang relies on asriel to drive them somewhere

Toriel:

She canonically has a permit and drives

Has a family car, probably a Citroën....orrrrr a ford focus like my father,

She is a good driver but when she gets angry she tends to drive a little aggressively. If someone cuts her way she will honk them and curse at them

Asgore:

He wouldnt have a permit, doesnt like driving , he doesnt think that is necessary to have a permit, plus he doesnt have the money to buy a car

Asriel:

Since asriel is closer with toriel than he is with asgore, toriel encourages him to get a driving license, so he does, asriel never thought that would find driving fun and useful , sometimes he regrets getting the permit because of frisk chara and kris asking him to always drive them somewhere

Like almost all teenage boys he would probably be into sports car, im thinking about an audi gt (he likes that car but doesnt have the money to buy it so he drives toriel s car)

Sans:

My man s always tired, do you think that he can drive a car with such little energy

Sans would not have a permit

I think that its canon the fact that papyrus can drive, you saw at the end of undertale pacifist route, he would drive a convertible audi, an audi A5 Cabriolet to be exact( just so yk i have no idea about cars i do drive i have a nice car , i like cars but i dont know any models so i. just google it )

Undyne:

She would have a permit, drives kind of chaotic, yet she never got her permit taken away, lucky her ig

Why do you ship Sans x Frisk? As a person who ships them myself, what do you see in them, like about them? Personality traits, situations, tropes etc, anything that comes to mind, makes you enjoy them and continue to breathe life to them?

I'm pretty bad at finding the right words but I will try!

I ship them because I can see them bonding and become a couple at one point. They have or possibly have a few things in common with one another. Perhaps have similar struggles or close to it too. They seem to have a lot of potential between them. Having someone be that bright light in your life after everything you've been through you can't help but to be close to them. The best example I can give is if you look at Horrortale Sans and Frisk. Horrortale Sans being this cold, hard hearted killer makes you think he is incapable of love or have any caring feelings whatsoever. The moment he meets Frisk he's smitten. Would never harm her in anyway and would do anything for her. Has that one soft spot for her only. While Frisk is this kind, merciful, forgiving girl who can also put up a fight if she needs to. Is scared of him at first but has the heart to forgive him despite everything he has done. I love that idea. Sooner or Later You're Gonna Be Mine fanfic is another example. They both fit my likes in tropes, situations and personality traits perfectly.

I also love the idea of them meeting as kids. Sans having a crush on Frisk and is always nervous around her. Not knowing what to do with his feelings for her. Them growing up together. Becoming best friends. Then he finally confesses to her when they're both teenagers or adults. I just think that's adorable!
