Would you ever consider writing a chapter for FMO where we get to see the courtship between reader and Aemond?

Not a full chapter but I did poll you guys about if you wanted to see reader and Aemond pre daella or pre marriage. Pre marriage won. I wrote something small and just transferred it here

New Beginnings

There had been a heatwave in the King’s Landing. Surprising warm days rolled through and left everyone miserable in their wake. Workers in the castles had even gone as far to limit candle usage. There was a light reprieve when the sun began to set. The halls of the Red Keep dim, but at least cooler than usual.

Helaena’s chamber sat on the opposite side of yours. The only light that illuminated through the hall was the hand held candle basket in your hand.

“What did I tell Helaena and you about wandering the halls alone.”

The voice made you bite a smile. Aemond scolds like a mother. Stern and sure ; you are sure he got it from the Queen.

“And we told you that you need to respect your elders’ wishes,” you turn to find Aemond to find him in dark leather and silk. Riding gloves being taken off.

You always heard that romantic feelings are marked by butterflies in the stomach. Often it feels like ants are ravaging your insides around Aemond. It only started recently when Alicent insisted you break your fast with her every fifth day of the week. The queen, who you normally see as subtle and measured was anything but when you walked into her apartments to find her… and her son.

The writing is on the wall.

Your mother even went as far to send you new dresses when you casually mentioned it in a letter. Sweetling, you must look your best for the occasion.

Sometimes you find yourself out of your own body, watching yourself interact with him. Hyperaware of the way you look and hold yourself. Self consciously, your free hand goes to your hair. Jaehaerys found pleasure in tugging on anything he could her his hands on. Clothes, hair, limbs.

There had been walks around the castle, dinners with just the two of you, and a exchanging of literature.

“Did you know that Sealord of Braavos owns an animal that is said to be spotted horse but with a long neck,” the question made you laugh. He asked so earnestly. You narrow your eyes a bit.

“You made that up.”

He holds his hands up in innocence. “I read it. And just for that I am not going to give you the book on flowers ingenuous to Westeros.”

He begins to walk away, and you know it is in jest, but your eyes widen. You really want that book.

“Fine, I believe you,” you say quickly, grabbing his arm. “Can please get the book?”

You give him an exaggerated pout, and he rolls his eye.

“Since you asked kindly.”

He continues to walk with the expectations to follow him. You can’t help but think about what would court would think if they saw the two of you now. So close, and at this hour. Tongues would wag about what you up to.

Aemond’s study is how you expected it to be. Shelves filled to the brim with books and scrolls. Desk perfectly neat. It makes you wonder what the inside of his chambers looks like. He searches for the book while you take deep inspection of the room. You notice the sword in the corner. The silvery handle reflecting even in the dim lighting of the room

He turns with a large brown on in his hand. Before you can reach for it, he pulls it close to his chest.

“I will give it to you on one condition. The next time I go riding, you come with me.”

The proposition takes you by surprise. Dragons are always a sore spot for you. Despite knowing each other for moons, you just recently was introduced to Helaena’s dragon, Dreamfyre. The sentient beast had a temperament like her rider. Pensive and sweet on most occasions, but absolutely did not want to be bothered when upset. Luckily for you, it was a good day for the dragon. Even then, her size terrified you. The idea of being in front of the biggest one in the world make your stomach churn.

But you knew how important Vhagar is to Aemond. If he wanted you to meet her, that must mean something. So, you nod slowly.

“She will like you,” he give you a reassured look, and hands over the book.

Your fingers brushes when he hands it over, he leans down a bit and for a moment you think he is going to kiss you. But the moment is cut short by a startling crack of lighting, following by rumbling thunder. The two of you jump, backing up steps.

Water begins to splatter against the window in the study. You smile at the sight.

“Back home, it is said that rain after long heat is good luck. A sign of new beginnings.”

Aemond stares at you with a look on his face you can’t quite expain. He nods softly.

“To new beginnings.”

Aemond stares at you with a look you don’t know how to descibe.

“To new beginnings then.”

“Well, to new beginnings.”

adding more to the idea of modern!fmo reader and aemond: aemond is jealous af of the relationship his gf got with his brother and her boy bff (ser quinton my sweet lil meow meow) while simultaneously being the one that’s actually cheating😃

Ok now I’m just gonna do headcanons for modern!fmo bc I’m bored and love the idea (sorry this is long 😭)

-reader and Aemond meet through their moms rather through reader befriending Helaena (let’s say Alicent and reader’s mom are Pilates babes and go to the same studio)

-reader’s mom gushes about how her daughter goes to [insert rich people school], and Alicent is like shut up! one of my boys goes there (meanwhile reader’s mom knows this bc she religiously stalks Alicent’s Facebook)

- Aemond is a English major, with a minor in marketing, reader is studying biochemistry with a focus on plants/plant reproduction.

- they meet at a party Alicent throws for helaena getting her masters or something like that

- the first year of their relationship actually goes well. It’s basically the honeymoon phase, and both their moms think they are geniuses for making this happen

- in this universe, reader knows alys exist from the jump. And she’s like “oh your bestie is a pretty older woman yay 😃😃😃”

-reader is certain something is going on, but Aemond gaslights and lies to her. It isn’t until she finds some ummm.. intimate garments that she knows she does not wear. She’s almost positive alys left them on purpose. This is break up number one

-Aegon and reader become close after aemond, ever the coward, sends his brother to get back some of his stuff. They bond over liking the same obscure rock band

- funnily enough, quinton and reader meet through Helaena in this universe. The entomology major (hel) and the geology major (quinton) work closely at their school

-Aemond and reader get back together at a Christmas party. Aemond promises he’s not even in contact with alys anymore (another lie).

-quinton can’t stand Aemond. Thinks he’s so pretentious with the hair and the poetry (yes he writes it for reader). Aemond thinks quinton is just kind of stupid lmao

-Aegon is the one to tell reader that he def is still fooling around with alys again. Second break up

-this causes a bit of tension between Aegon and aemond.

-reader is certain she is done with Aemond. Then she finds out she’s pregnant :/. She honestly goes back and forth between keeping the baby

-eventually she breaks down and tells him bc she’s scared. Aemond, despite reader’s wishes, tells his mom. He’s scared too :(. Alicent, our queen, is like I’ll take you to the clinic if you want 🤷🏽‍♀️. She loves her kids but she had Aegon young and gets it’s not for everyone

-in the end, reader decides to keep the baby. Daella Targaryen is born 9 months later. Aemond and reader have a very beautiful, expensive sort of shotgun wedding. They have it when daella is a little over a year

-quinton, very drunk, confesses his love for reader in a voicemail she gets during her bachelorette party. Things get awkward for them after that :(

- things are actually kind of good considering the circumstances. They’re young but they also have way more resources than people in their peer group. By this point, reader is working part time at a laboratory trying to cure different illness through plants. Aemond works for his dad’s company

-eventually Aemond convinces reader to stay home with daella. Hints at maybe wanting another baby

- everything is fine, till reader finds texts. She’s not one to snoop but she sees heart emojis and is like “since when does my husband use emojis”. Texts going to and from a “A ❤️”.

-she starts to wonder if all those work trips are actually for work.

-reader takes daella while Aemond is away one weekend. They visit Aegon or uncle egg to daella. Aegon, a practicing defense attorney, is like “babe I can get you a good family divorce lawyer. We will milk him for everything.” 😭😭

- reader hires a p.I immediately, gets all the proof she needs. Pictures, calls, emails. This has started back up since daella was born.

-things get really messy when their half sister, Rhaenyra wants to do a merger deal with another company and their family one. As viserys declines in health, there becomes a struggle for power between Aemond and nyra

-Aemond begs reader to hold off on the divorce till they handle things. She agrees but they start to live in different houses. She plays the waiting game… but through all this craziness she realizes she hasn’t had her period

-alaric targaryen is born, and reader struggles with ppd. She feels a bit trapped. Her parents are telling her to stick through it and give Aemond another chance

-in the end, they end up separating for some time. They coparent, and things are pretty tense. Reader tells Aemond that alys is not allowed to be anywhere her kids or she will go back to get sole custody.

-one of the weekends they are doing a swap, Aemond breaks down and tells her that alys cheated on him. He actually apologizes and for a moment reader thinks that door is still open

-BUT.. she gets an text from a number she doesn’t recognize

My relationships never had any meaning, the only somewhat deep relationship I have is the one with my dad. So, if you were to ask me about love.. I think love is when your relationship with someone has some kind of meaning. Maybe it makes you happy. Maybe it wants you to keep living. Maybe it makes you feel like you have some kind of purpose. You just know that if something happened to that person, you would feel like your life has become incomplete. That's love to me.

Asahi: E-eh?.. I know that I'm more mature than other kids, but like.. Ugh, fine. So, uh, I think love is when someone gives you everything you could ever want from them. N-no, I'm not just talking about food and toys and that stuff! Though that's also important, of course.. But like.. I-if you asked them for a hug, they'd be okay with it.. Yurika: Your question is simple, so my answer will be the same. It's what I felt for my boss. S-she wasn't just a manager to me. She actually gave me a reason to live. She showed me that I still have worth even if I'm not that smart, not that hardworking and not that productive. She's not like my parents at all and those guys are rich, but still wanted me to work! H-huh?.. "Did you see your manager as your lover or your mother figure?".. Uh.. B-both?

Riku: Let me think.. Well, there's many different types of love, you know? I don't really know which one you want me to talk about.. Oh, so like, love in general? Um.. For some reason, it's still hard for me to think of an answer.. Maybe something like, even if you get sad or angry sometimes, they still understand you and still willing to listen to you? Like, they won't go "Come on, cheer up already!" Oh, also they respect your privacy and personal space, that one's important. Even if I love them, I don't want them to call me at 3 am and start telling me the tragic story of how their cat died when they were eight, thank you very much.. Y-yeah, that did happen to me once.

Reina: I don't know much about it, so I'm afraid my answer won't be that interesting. But maybe.. it's when someone still wants to be with you even if they've seen your worst qualities? No, I don't mean any of that "But I still find them beautiful" kind of stuff. That's actually kinda concerning. It's like, they won't leave you if they see you fighting with someone and yelling at them, but they also won't tell you that you were in the right for acting like that, if you really were in the wrong.

Eiji: It's when all sinners get what they deserve. They get the punishments that fit their sins and they have no choice but to accept it, meanwhile the innocent ones get to finally live a peaceful life. And before you ask me, no, nobody in this prison is innocent except me and Guard 002.

Miki: I'm not really as passionate about it as Eiji-san, but.. I think it's when people who did something bad without any reason and don't feel any remorse get.. I-I don't want to say "punished", but.. Basically, they're not able to do anything to the innocent people anymore. I want to believe that everyone in this prison is innocent and everyone had their own reasons and if it wasn't for those reasons, they would never kill anyone.. But I'm not so sure anymore. So if someone in this prison really is guilty.. I guess I'll have to make sure they don't hurt the innocent.

Hiyuu: I think it's when all people are treated as equals. Even if someone is guilty, I won't treat them like a villain. I will punish them, because that's my job as a guard, but it doesn't mean I genuinely want their life to get worse and it doesn't mean I want them to die. I just want them to see what will happen if they continue to act this way. Pain is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone, so I believe that even if that someone really did something bad, they should be treated with respect if they're in pain. So you can trust me, my punishments won't be that bad, haha.
