I think there needs to be a rundown on what is and what isn't colonialism cause the amount of times I'm seeing the whole "OG! Sothis is a colonizer therefore the slithers are the good guys and genocide and racism is good actually" is getting out of hand.
There are only 2 factors where the argument can make some sense a) she's a foreigner has otherworldly powers and b) she shared her technology and knowledge with the natives. But otherwise, she didn't oppress anyone nor did she deplete the land of its resources or anything like that. There's no evidence that she erased any pre-existing culture and sharing resources and technology is not erasing a culture. And she sure as hell didn't come to Fodlan with the intent of conquering or ruling over it. Plus when the war was over, she didn't order anyone nor did she herself try to prosecute or kill all of the Agarthans; she instead restored the land which took up all her powers and then went to Zanado and died in her sleep.
And if people are going to say her making Fodlan her home or settling there is proof that she's a colonizer, then are they going to apply that same logic to any immigrant moving to America to settle down, get a job and stuff? Or any immigrant building a shrine/temple or a store to worship their religion or sell their goods? Cause that's what this reminds me of; a bunch of anti-immigrant talking points coming from nativist nationalists who are pissed that the immigrants are "stealing their jobs or invading their land" and wants them to "go back to where they came from" or something. It's why I say this take is xenophobic and anti-immigrant and considering who keeps spewing it, it's really rich coming from them.
Sorry for the long vent/ask.
Lmao don't apologize, you put all of my complaints into one beautiful ask. Bless you.
You're completely right. Sothis did nothing to harm the environment or economy. She helped them by granting them knowledge that made their civilations thrive. There is no exploitation involved.
They are so desperate to see Sothis (and the Nabateans) as colonizers, that they completely ignore canon. That on its own wouldn't be an issue, headcanons exist, but then they start spouting incredibly harmful rhetoric that has been said irl.

I like to think I have a sense of humor.
Heavily inspired by @officialfelixfraldarius because reasons. Yes. That is enough elaboration. The blush panel is all the context you need.

Claude: The Church of Seiros has held total sway over the society and government of Fodlan for far too long. It's time to tear down the walls keeping Fodlan trapped within a system that only benefits the Church and the nobles lucky enough to have Crests. Edelgard: Agreed. To war, then. Claude: Hey wait a minute.

Anon with the "GW not bad for Faerghus" ask. I couldn't read your full response bc your other blog is private but yes, there are people who say that the Kingdom is not in a bad position. Mostly those who think Claude's "scheme" will force Edelgard to end the war bc he could ally with the "still strong" Kingdom to crush her if she didn't, and that GW is some kind of "golden ending" for the three nations. Some even argue that Claude freed Faerghus/Dimitri from the Church's chains - or whatever.
I don't know if you saw my post where I mentioned you should be able to read it now, but if you didn't you should still be able to. I think I switched off the setting for that because I didn't realize it would prevent you from seeing the whole ask. :o
That's wild to hear though that people think the Kingdom isn’t in a bad position. They've lost a lot of military power regardless of whether or not they lose influence. Like I mentioned in the previous ask, it's basically up to Claude whether or not they retain their influence (regardless of what Petra wants in GW or what she thinks she knows about Fodlan lol). If they do, they still have no military might. If Sreng invades they're fucked if Claude doesn't treat them like a vassal state of Leicester and help them under the pretext that Faerghus is now part of Leicester.
In other words, they’re at best a vassal state and otherwise left alone, and at worst they’re left to rot.
Technically, Claude could try to get them to help him fight against the Empire, sure, but they won’t have the military might to help him very much, and like I mentioned in the last ask, the chances of it working are slim. Gautier won’t help and I can say that with pretty much full certainty, and if Gautier won’t help then Fraldarius probably won’t either (remember, it’s Felix who makes the final decisions now and not Rodrigue, so if Felix sees Sylvain is still upset about his father and won’t help the Alliance because of what they did, Felix won’t help them either. Felix is extremely emotional about his friends - especially his childhood friends. If you fuck with them then he’s going to fuck with you).
So now, Claude can either decide to try to force them to help, which would invoke another fight between him and Faerghus and cause more deaths, or he’ll just have to accept that he’s not getting help/a lot of help from Faerghus (I detailed it more in the other ask, so hopefully you can access the rest of it now!).
Post GW, Faerghus won’t be helping anyone in a war, I can tell you that. It’d take everything they had to keep Sreng out and to fix any damages from the Alliance’s attack. Even if Claude called on them, they just... couldn’t help.
Unfortunately even in GW they imply that Dimitri is “freed” of the Church, so of course most people take that at face value and don’t look any deeper than what’s told to them. Dimitri isn’t really free or not free of the Church. He was never in a situation where he was being controlled by them. They’re on friendly terms, but that’s really it. Rhea doesn’t tell Dimitri what to do or how to run Faerghus. It’s just that the people there are very devout because of their good relations with the Church and because Rhea helps Faerghus when they need help. It’s give and take for them just like any political situation. Faerghus isn’t in a bad position because they’re around. They’ve only really benefitted from the Church if anything, because Rhea doesn’t personally involve herself with their political decisions.
The whole “we have to free Dimitri from them” thing sounded more to me like Claude needing to find something “good” to hang onto to excuse himself for making those choices. As it was he was grasping at straws to justify their invasion to begin with. He already didn’t have a good pretext for attacking them. Saying “we’re freeing you” is like... his lowkey way of saying he needs to make himself feel better about it, because Dimitri didn’t need his or anyone’s help to begin with. If they were left alone, Faerghus would’ve been fine. Edelgard in GW is struggling on both sides of the war, so if Faerghus hadn’t been attacked by the Alliance, I can guarantee the Empire would’ve just lost.
Really, if Claude teamed up with the Kingdom in the first place and took down the Empire, they would’ve spared themselves more lives and bloodshed in the long run. Claude caused even more battles to happen and got more innocent people killed. I think by the end of the game he did figure out that he made the wrong decisions, but by then it was too late and he couldn’t take back what he did so he needed to find ways to justify all of it to himself.
I just wish they actually came out and said that though instead of running around it in circles while trying to make us believe he actually believes that the Kingdom was just better off without the Church. They weren’t doing badly with the Church involved or not involved. It was the invasion that hurt them. If Claude skipped around Fhirdiad and killed Rhea, regardless of plot or context or anything, just like, imagine he didn’t invade Faerghus and they just passed through and killed Rhea, then Faerghus’ situation might get a little more complicated for inheritance, but I think just with Dimitri’s temperament that they’d be able to stave off any legitimacy issues pretty quick. That is, people liked him in power so the populace would still be in favor of having him as king whether the Church was there or not. Rodrigue was well liked, so he’d be a perfect public figure to calm down any potential anxiety and worry with the loss of the Church. They could’ve actually made it without the Church, but it was mostly the invasion that really hurt the country and dug them into a hole for the future.

Not that I want to talk about 3H in particular anymore, but I remain fucking heartbroken that I really can't stomach Claude as a character anymore either.
I loved him in 3H! He was good, but still layered! He had flaws in reasoning, but keeping an open mind and maintaining an endless curiosity developed him nicely. And yeah, I did like his funny moments, too! He's supposed to be the casual heir compared to the other house leaders.
But now I can't even say I like him for who he canonically is, because apparently I "don't understand Claude as a character and never did."
The same people who wished Claude was more of a calculating jackass in 3H, flipped the script by saying he always was more ruthless and cold actually, and that if you dared to think otherwise, you're an idiot who can't read or pay attention. Worst case scenario, you get accused of being racist because "brown man funny" or some such nonsense, as if the depiction of him being an ignorant, violent, gullible, backstabber isn't the more racist portrayal of Fodlan's sole non-white main character.
It sucks, cuz I really liked him, but now a not-insignificant portion of his "fans" insult and berate anyone who liked his portrayal in 3H, and enduring people like that isn't something I like doing.

wipwed Dimitri is out here fighting for his life and Byleth has no idea
"I doubt we'll be attending the same parties, Your Grace." "Nonsense!" he said. His posture wasn't that of a proper gentleman. Elbow on the table, he leaned heavily to rest his head on his hand. He narrowed his eyes, as if evaluating her. "A woman as lovely and charming as you will have no trouble marrying far above her station." She snorted, choking on her food. His Grace pushed a glass of water towards her with concern in his eyes. When she'd caught her breath, she said, "I think you're the only man in Fodlan that would consider me charming." "If that's true, then it is a terribly foolish country, and I shall have to steal you away to Albinea to be properly appreciated." She was too stunned to respond, and it must have seemed as if she was offended. He cleared his throat and pulled his hands into his lap, a reversal of his relaxed posture before. "I'm only joking, of course. My apologies. I've never had much of a sense of humor."

1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 12 for rhea? :3
1. Why do you like or dislike this character?
I like Rhea because her story brings with it so many interesting things to think about, and the choices she's made throughout it are also thought-provoking. Yes, she's tried to do the best she could with the options given to her, yes she's tried to do everything in order to bring peace to Fodlan, but that doesn't make her choices any less morally ambiguous or debatable - something she acknowledges, and even wishes to make up for when she's felt she'd made bad choices!
Plus her being fairly shy about mingling with others due to her status making her feel as though she'd bum down the mood gives her a real sweet quality to her lol. Makes me wish even more she was allowed to talk to more characters.
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
That she put her identity out on blast in Shambhala in order to protect everyone. She also does this during the siege on Garreg Mach, but her initial transformation was away from everyone; in the second time she does is in front of everyone, but she cares about saving people more than her own safety at that moment. Considering how long she hid her Nabatean heritage from the world, it feels like a huge step forward for her, Nabateans, and Fodlan as a whole being able to put behind the horrific massacre of the Nabateans. She isn't deemed a monster by anyone, no one tries to kill her in her dragon form; they all just admire that she went so far to keep them safe! It's just a really good moment (that's uh, fucked by either her dying for sure on VW or her randomly going berserk on SS, but still!).
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
The above mentioned going berserk thing in SS is easilyyyyyyy my least favorite thing about Rhea's writing (because due to the nature of Rhea's character I don't really find myself outright disliking any aspect of her character). It's stupid, it comes out of nowhere, it makes no sense (even with FEH trying its damndest to throw out a reason), and it just kinda fucks with SS' pacing more than anything. She's only the final boss there because SS needed a unique boss and no other reason and it sucks major ass.
Even the suggestion of her going berserk on VW and Nemesis being the final boss of SS just kinda... moves the problem somewhere else, not actual fix what's wrong with it (the lack of foreshadowing that anything like this would happen, the fact that it doesn't happen on the other route where the exact same thing happens to Rhea but nothing happens to her there, the nonsensical nature of it, etc.). Definitely the weakest part of the writing of her character, imo.
5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?
Not the song question 😭😭😭 imma be straight up with you I do not think of any song for any character like almost ever sorry for the lame answer but I don't got shit for this question
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
We both love cats!!
7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?
i like when they write her in character I like when fandom allows for Rhea to genuinely grow close to other characters, rare as it is to see happen. She has such an interesting viewpoint and has a lot of similarities to a lot of characters, so seeing that get expanded on and not just have her be The One True Bad Guy Of 3H For Totes For Realsies Pinky Promise is always nice lol
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
On AM/SS after the war she lets herself openly baby Flayn as her aunt instead of withholding outright doting due to her archbishop position + hiding their familial relation. She gives her gifts and teaches her constellations on her star chart and does up her hair and tells funny story about Seteth that make him look silly - she just gets to be family with her niece!!

Summoner's Sedentary Supports: Seteth
Got this churned out in between a very, very long piece that I don't know when exactly will be finished so enjoy this indulgent nonsense involving ridiculous sizes again lol
Warning: This is a fetish story!
In the very distant, most remote wing of the Order of Heroes brick white castle—the area originally physically remodeled a couple of years back before being magically reinforced another year afterwards—the entire wing is only occupied by the Order's summoner and all of the men he's supported. The area would appear vacant from the lack of activity in the expansive hallways, if not for the loud whirring of machines sounding out from every room alongside the small yet incessant tremors that ring out from varying unknown gurgling sources, said sources all ones that Kiran intimately knows and takes care of. The only room that currently displays some different sort of sound is Seteth’s.
“Look how comfortable you are once you start enjoying yourself,” Kiran lays down on Seteth. Despite weighing a hefty 600 pounds, Kiran's own girth is nothing more than a speck when next to Seteth; he only takes up a miniscule of space on Seteth's corpulence, the rest of Seteth's titanic body more than large enough to fill up every inch of his office back in Fodlan.
Seteth's flab fills up his current room even now, his stomach alone that's larger than a demonic beast pressed up against the wall and seeps past the door the few times it’s opened. Though he thankfully has no need to concern himself over running out of room through Kiran's magical assistance in giving him an ever expanding room to keep up with Seteth's ever soaring weight.
Seteth's face is marred with a blush; his engorged, bloated cheeks are embarrassingly red. His jowls spread out to the sides with all the weight piled onto them like the rest of his body. Each over bloated cheek rests heavily on Seteth's shoulders, his; the bulging porcine jowls take up a portion of Seteth's vision — the rest of it taken up by the expansive nature of his figure when Kiran isn't tending to him. Seteth's cheeks drape past his numerous folds of neck fat that leave his neck looking like a stack of pancakes.
Seteth's blush only grows brighter as Kiran pulls out his feeding tube, the deluge of slop still one of the most intoxicating concoctions to him despite eating more than enough of it to fill up a pond every single day. “I…” Seteth takes a small break, wheezing to catch his breath.
“You what?” Kiran peers down at Seteth from his position of resting on Seteth's back.
"P-Perhapsh II aahm …-hfffbUAARRP-... enjooyiing' mysheehlf,” Seteth's embarrassment grows after his burp, the ever stoic well put together man still unable to lose the habit, even when he weighs enough to outsize an entire house.
Kiran pets Seteth's head, running his sausage fingers against the green strands of Seteth's hair. “Really? I couldn't tell. I thought you just allowed yourself to become a useless blob on a whim,” Kiran's hands drift lower and gently pat Seteth's porcine jowls, his cheeks far too large for him to hold  —even with both hands. “I guess that explains all the moaning and the way you greedily devour everything I give you,”
Seteth's body is a testament to Kiran's claims. Seteth's immense enormity spreads out in all directions, the billowing mass of lard resembling a mountain more than anything remotely human. The fact that Seteth manages to have something resembling an outfit is almost as impressive as his size. Seteth's white pants are as pristine as ever; the stretchy miles of numerous yards of fabric that make up his pants work their magic to keep him clothed. They aren't perfect with the multiple holes and tears in them from Seteth’s room sized thighs however. His thighs lack much of a shape to them, his bulging legs billowing out at the upper portion of them and tapering down at the lower parts of his legs. Seteth's feet are sunken underneath all his girth; his black boots help point out where his feet are with how large he is, his barely visible shoes similarly sinking into his flabby calves. Seteth's ass juts out behind him. His ass is even wider than his legs, the pile of fat for a rear stretching his pants. Pressed up against the back wall of his room, the lard climbs up the wall with the lack of space until the next space enlargement. Which Seteth needs when his ass is wider than his office, the enormous rear large enough to where it stretches out for several feet behind the rest of his girth. Seteth's torso isn't far too different from his lower half with all his weight being rather equally well spread out. His gut is mostly uncovered, the bottom most rolls of his gargantuan gut exposed with his shirt and capelet combo only reaching so far despite the swaths of fabric used to cover him up. Seteth manages to somehow still wear a belt; the thin strip of fabric has been cut up and more has been amended to it to lengthen for his growing waist. The belt goes around his gut, the white strip partially obscured underneath the immense weight of his breasts and arms. The part that goes around his backside is lost underneath a sea of thick back rolls. He astonishingly manages to have it clasped, the long enough to be wrapped around a carriage a couple of times specifically made for his enormity. His blue capelet is unbuttoned, the white fabric of his undershirt and his sleeves exposed; his flabby arm rolls that he can no longer move bulge against the fabric. Seteth’s biceps resemble piles of lard, the once built arm muscles hidden under a deluge of lard. The flab from his arms press up against his shoulders. And Seteth’s breasts rest heavily on his gut that surges out in front of him, his breasts nearly rivaling Kiran’s own hefty, obese state. Seteth’s gut manages to only have three main rolls, the three large portions of his belly much larger and flabbier the lower the rolls are. His breasts go past the uppermost roll of his stomach, his chest straining both his shirt and caplet. His capelet also goes nearly all the way down his back —only the lowest rivulet of flab visible as it sags past the waistband of his pants and seeps on top of his ass.
A strand of green hair drapes over Seteth’s fat forehead, even Seteth’s circlet made larger to accommodate for his enlarged girth. Seteth tries his best to blow it out of his face, his puffed out cheeks jiggling in between each deep, panting breath as he does his best to ignore Kiran’s truth about his self’s enjoyment on simply giving in and glutting out. Except the strand keeps falling back on his face.
“Need a little help?” Reaching one hand to clasp Seteth’s hand, the two’s flabby fingers trying their best to do so at their sizes, Kiran uses his other hand to push the bit of hair out of Seteth’s face.
“Thaank ...youh,” Seteth smiles, not saying much as Kiran returns the smile/
He traces his fingers across Seteth’s blubbery face, his index finger rubbing against the shape of Seteth’s facial hair. Kiran eventually shifts his attention to Seteth’s pointed ears that are no longer hidden under his hair. “Remember when you could use your arms?” Kiran squeezes Seteth’s hand.
Seteth’s smile widens, a small huff escaping him at Kiran’s teasing. “I eehnjoohy -huff- eaahtin… aahs much aahs Ih pleahshe..” Seteth pauses for a moment to recuperate his breath. His eyes never once waver from Kiran’s own gaze. He does squint his eyes upon Kiran pinching and shaking his cheeks. “Juuhsht ahsh y-yooouh -pant- are content’sh… toooh -uurrPPHhh- waahtch…” Seteth’s stomach grumbles.
“It’s only been a few minutes and someone’s already hungry. Not that I can blame ya when your large self can eat enough to put almost the rest of the entire Order to shame,” Kiran teases Seteth but summons a portal without a fuss nonetheless.
Smelling the aroma of food causes Seteth’s gut to ravenously gurgle, the tons of lard demanding more calories to enjoy and glut on. It doesn’t help when Seteth already knows what awaits him with Kiran’s usual taunting, content grin. He lets out a belch while Kiran takes his sweet time, the walls of the furnitureless room rumbling from the tremors. “Whhyy dohn’tshya hurryy… -hnngh- uuhp and -wheeze- geht mee sohmee…fooood,” Seteth demands with another wall trembling belch, his own corpulence wobbling from the sheer force of it.
“Alright alright. You’ll get all the food you want,” Kiran reaches out for the first dish of countless others. “Though you’re going to have to be patient, unless you want me to make a mess like last time,” A grilled herring in hand, the fish paired with rice and vegetables —with plenty of extra butter of course— Kiran doesn’t wait much time or any at all before feeding it to Seteth.
And in turn, Seteth greedily devours the food that’s thrust into his mouth, Seteth voraciously chewing for a scant few seconds before swallowing everything Kiran feeds him. And despite the notion he used to take great care of maintaining his dignity, Seteth’s blubbery cheeks do get dirtied by the sauces of his several meal sized portions for appetizers as he guzzles down the food. Not that he cares.
Kiran pauses for a few moments to wipe away at the mess Seteth makes, the mess on his face far from a surprise to Kiran once Seteth finally gave in like he wanted to long ago when he first began to pack on a few pounds. “So messy and demanding. Not that I mind. I’ll make sure you’ll have as much food as you desire,”
Seteth only moans in response, his half lidded eyes barely paying attention as he enjoys his usual daily routine.

How to send asks...
For anons: please make up a realistic fake name. It's for the sake of the theme. Example:
Dear Brynlee,
I can't stop brainrotting about Zhongli like what if he's a prince- prince au zhongli with princess consort reader go brrrrrrr like wtf i can't stop thinking about morax girl i need help
Ms. Sophia Pendragon
I won't entertain "can I be 🗣️ anon" asks. This will let me know if an anon read the rules. Plus, I prefer using names rather than scrambling to find emojis instead. I quit my old one despite being a decently "successful" blog because anons do not respect personal boundaries on my asexuality despite it being explicitly written down. This is just an act of self-preservation.
When sending asks please note that this blog is following Three Houses' worldbuilding. Claiming to be a God or some Diety in the asks will certainly follow confused responses as majority of the cast believes only in Sothis. Modern inventions will likely confuse "Brynn" as well. That is all!
P.S: if you wish to talk to me as a creator, address me as Beloved/B rather than Brynn so I know when to break character. Ty!

What’s your favorite plot hole/nonsensical plot point in 3H? I think my favorite has to be that despite being the avatar of the Goddess, a figure Edelgard hates and even says doesn’t exist— she still loves Byleth no matter what because… Reasons. (I mean, how else is the player supposed to feel special?)
That plot point also confuses me to no end. Some say it's because of their shared Crest of Flames, but we don't see Nemesis going all uwu on Byleth at the end of VW.
Personally, I'm stuck between TWSITD's nukes and Fodlan's powerscaling in general.
Like, why didn't TWSITD just nuke everyone at the Battle of the Eagle and Lion? Solon worked with the church at that time, he would've been able to communicate the time to Thales! Hell, why didn't the Agarthans nuke everyone at the end of CF? AM, VW and SS I can sort of understand. Their leadership and/or entire base of operations are destroyed in those routes, but none of that happens at the end of CF.
And then you just have Fodlan's powerscaling and it's like..
Nobody should be able to touch Byleth because of their time powers.
Relic wielders should wipe entire armies but they get smacked by a random bandit.
The Nabateans should be demigods that are unable to be killed by anything but a relic wielder/byleth/sothis.
I could go on about powerscaling in Fodlan but that deserves it's own post tbh.
