Love the idea that, when Angie gets really serious in a fight, it's unsettling for everyone else.

He drops his sweet, energetic demeanor and is much more serious and ruthless, taking out all the enemies in no time.

His brothers are a little unnerved, while their enemies are suddenly way out of their depth, as this wise-cracking turtle does a 180 in personality and fighting skill.

Uncle Leo would be proud.

oooh yeah! not would it be a 180 in skill, it would probably be in style too. Like his normal fighting style in Rise is very flippy and showy 1) b/c his brothers do that, and 2) its fun and he likes to try stuff he wouldn't have normally used in a fight. Not exactly messing around, but not seriously fighting either.

But! if he has a reason to get serious? Suddenly all those extra flips and flurrishes are gone. Sure he still does some, but they're practical. His entire style turns more practical instead of showy. So that on top of him just turning off about the majority of his bantering, it would definitely throw off any enemy he was facing enough to get the upper hand pretty quickly. (tho i imagine not all the banter is gone, '03 was pretty well known for their in-fight banters.)

So yes! Uncle Leo would be exceptionally proud. Particularly that he's keeping an ace up his sleeve, so to speak. I mean, sure he could be fighting like that all the time. But if things went serious, he wouldn't have anything to throw them off anymore. So he would definitely approve of such a thing (even if he's probably not thrilled with the showy style he normally uses.)

broken pieces part one:

it was around two in the morning and you had just woken up from your slumber. this had forced its way into your routine. you’d fall sleep around nine, alone, wake up in the middle of the night, alone, then wake up at seven in the morning to the front door closing as chan would leave for the studio, once again leaving you, alone. then repeat. the only times he was home at this point was to sleep, and even that wasn’t for only a few hours. you had been with chan before he had even debuted with his team, you knew chan while he was still a trainee at jyp. but you realized the more chan’s career flurrished the quicker your relationship fell apart. the saddest part is by the time you noticed the two of you’s decaying relationship, it was too late. you and chan barely talked. you barely had sex. the two of you were as close as strangers. before you had chan had a healthy sex life. the way he could make you forgot your name as he fucked you. the way he’d moan your name as he thrusted inside of you. it had been months since he had even touched you. you’ve tried pleasing yourself, but nothing could replace chan. you felt like such a whore. sobbing at how you’d never be satisfied. you could see your relationship with chan shattering into pieces, and you were thinking about sex. but you’d also miss his touch. not just sexually, but in general. the way he’s hug you from behind whenever you’d cook. the way he’s hold your hand in public, not caring about the cameras that would take pictures of the two of you. the way he’d show you off to the world. his post-sex cuddles. it was two in the morning and you were sobbing. sobbing became part of your routine, it felt like. you heard the front door open, along with the jingling of keys. chan. you violent started wiping your eyes, trying to stop your tears but it was too late. your tears needed to come out and they wouldn’t stop. “fuck! just stop crying,” you shouted to yourself in a whisper. the door to your room stopped your audible sobs, as you became stiff. you heard the boy sigh heavily as a soft dropping of a bag followed. you had your eyes open as you let the tears flow, unable to resist. chan had gone to the other side of the bed where he could finally see you, though it was dark, somehow he could still see you. “y/n?” he immediately got in the bed and hugged you and he placed his chin on the top of your head. you craved his touch. his warm embrace felt like it completed you. just one touch from his arms restored your hope. maybe you two could make it. maybe you could glue the broken pieces back together. maybe it wasn’t too late, “what happened? are you okay?” he spoke as he pulled his head from yours, gently placing his finger under your chin, softly lifting up as to make you face him. “n-nothing, i-i just missed you,” you managed to choke out through your heavy sobs. “it’s okay, baby, i’m here now. i’m sorry i’ve been so busy. i love you so much” he spoke in a hurry as his grasp on you tighten, you pressed your head onto his chest as you felt your sobs calm at the pace at his heartbeat. despite his rapid heartrate, it calmed you. it let you know that he cared. the two of you fell asleep like that, in each other’s arms. listening to the two of you’s quiet sobs. listening to each other’s soft heartbeats. listening to how they melded together. maybe this was your chance. your chance to fix the broken pieces.

Dragon Ball Echoes and Shadows

 There exists a Dimension outside of the control of Zeno, the angles and the gods of creation and destruction. Here the Titans of chance rule and here exist multiple differant timelines, universes and realitiies based off of what if scenarios and ideas that would either fit or not fit with the main Dragon Ball cannon. Here many ideas echoe in the shadow of the main plot and any version of the basic panthion of dragonball are merely elusionary puppets simply playing there roles but having no true power.

Here all the What ifs exist in their own little Bubble but these bubbles can be replicated, remade and even bled into other what if realities creating a shift of story.

In one dimension Bulma hooks up with Goku insteado f chichi, leaving Yamcha to focus more on his own life earlier. Launch never leaves the Z fighters and Chichi even dates Yamcha eventualy for a little while. Bulma eventualy has twins, a boy and a girl named Gohan and Bra. They look slightly differant from the main cannon counterparts. Also  Goku manages to convince Raditz to  give up serving his master and come be with his family on earth. It aslo Helps that Launch mannages to work on Raditz abit, further turning him into a nicer guy. Later Raditz would save Nappa from being killed by Vegeta who eventualy fled Earth. Nappa feeling like he was kicked aside would then switch sides and join the Z fighters. In this Alternate story. The fight was dragged out more but since Raditz and chichi would both be there and Gohan and Bra would have had more training by there dad and then their uncle things went more in favor of the Z fighters. People still got banged up but since Piccilo wasn’t there the dragon balls still work. Infact things are differant now since Vegeta doesn’t even know about the Dragon Balls nor does Frieza. So a whole saga has been either delayed or replaced. However Piccilo jr has been spying on everything.  Eventualy Kami comes to inspect the new comers and Raditz and Nappa end up explaining the whole planet Namek thing. Kami finds out that his race is still flurrishing and decides he’d like to bring go see them and see if he could bring home an Apprentice. The Problem is he can’t just leave Earth without a gardian.

Goku and the others get some what excited about the idea of exploring space and seeing other worlds. However Nappa and Raditz warn of the many dangers in space, including what’s left of the sayin race and worst of all the Frieza Force. Also Goku has not leanred the Kaiken yet or trained under King kai.

What do you guys think could happen? Also I want to have the 2 twins to both have their own adventures and seperate adventures. How do they travel through space? By pod or maybe they even use the dragon balls to simply creat a way to port to other worlds? Maybe Bulma even winds up building some kind of Telaporter? Also if your worried about Gohan and Bra turning into Azaros Bulma created some kind of  Tail Colars for her children that allow them to not simply transform at night under a full moon and have more control over their bodies. Infact these colars also protect their tails from being cut off or blown off. As for Piccalo I’m not leaving him out of this but I still need to come up with a use for him. maybe he could kidnap one of the kids like Bra?

After this the Buddhism flurrish till 1959 when the dalai lama escape Tibet from Chinese invasion. Then decide to spread the dharma abroad.

Defining a sense of Self through practice

“Tell me about yourself!” is always a dreaded question. Everyone has so many unique properties and interests but in those crucial moments of self definition all personality melts away in the form of hesitation and self doubt. Artists and creatives defining themselves through self portraiture has a rich history; with capturing the spirit and emotion being as much of an influence as the visual impression in reality. I feel a design practitioner defining a sense of self can easily fall into a trap of favouring pragmatism over allowing creative flurrish, “this is my work, this is what I do”

My own work primarily consists of vector based illustration, I wanted to present this through the work I could feasibly achieve in a small workshop. The task was to present a small snapshot of ourselves through work we had made in the small forty minute window. A self portrait felt appropriate as I could both show my work and my own self perception.

I was happy with my work considering the very small time frame, but know I could achieve something much more appealing and Accurate to my usual work and decided to develop the work much further. 

I felt this improved version was much more accurate to my own practice as an illustrator and animator. i wanted something friendly and approachable while still retaining my clean style. 

I felt very happy with this work and wanted to take it even further,  developing personal branding as it was something I had previously lacked.

I feel social media and self image is something very important to developing a recognisable personal brand

I wanted to capture something similar to the work created by Artist and Animator ‘James Curran’ (https://www.instagram.com/slimjimstudios/?hl=en)  a lot of his work feature looping animations. His animations feature smooth transitions between loops and very smooth appealing motion, I want to develop my animation portfolio in a very similar fashion to this. While looking at his work, I noticed that it was specifically tailored around instagram. I think this is a good way to gain a potential following and hopefully work that comes along with increased exposure. Adapting and working with an online world is something I feel will be very beneficial to gaining employment and commissions.

When tailoring work to instagram it’s important to look at a few key issues, 

1. Size

Instagram features square images, it’s important to stick to ratios such as 1000x1000, personally i use 1080p x 1080p to ensure high quality images

2. Format

Instagram supports any image file, but does not support gifs. if moving image is desired a video format suitable must be used, this will loop when posted online regardless. 

3. Reach and Spread

Tags can be used on instagram to spread the availability of work but natural growth should be encouraged, 10 followers who are actively viewing your work are more of a valuable asset than 100 inactive accounts, as a general rule do not follow accounts purely with the intent of having them follow you back. 

Instagram influence can take a very long time to spread, but it’s important to allow natural growth and follower cultivation.
