Theres so much fem reader content, and I’ve gotten comments like “I imagined reader was a girl” or “ugh mlm really?” On posts before and its discouraging and honestly just weird, like theres so so so much fem reader, go read some of that and don’t get bothered and complain on my work when I TAGGED IT male reader and plastered on all the warnings and titles and everything that it was MALE READER! if you don’t use those pronouns? Scroll past it. And you cant even blame me since I never tag my work with gn or fem reader, only male.

Moral of the story is just dont read or interact with content you dont like or dont identify with, because seeing stuff like those comments and upwards of three female reader requests in my inbox is just disheartening.

honestly i’d be lying if i said it was purely because the show is over. for *years* people have consistently treated me like shit in this fandom both publicly and privately, and so now there’s currently nothing new coming out, i’m not exactly dying to be here. perfect time to dip out until something new emerges. because i’ve been dogpiled, sent homophobic and transphobic messages, death threats, told i’m not doing enough with the gdrive, shit-talked, had my art and gifs stolen, and been told what i should and shouldn’t do in regards to my own group chats because people felt entitled to my time and space and patience. in short, certain people have made this fandom a nightmare since, what, 2015? 2016?

the only reason i’m still here is because i genuinely fucking love the cast and their work, and because i refuse to be hounded off this blog like i was my previous one. most of you are great. i just wish the select few didn’t leave such a lingering, sour taste behind.

We are often fed narratives from elsewhere in the world, so this is a great way to learn about our unique history. It's funny, entertaining, and doesn't sanitise anything.

I learnt HEAPS.

I was also super impressed about how it is both inclusive yet balanced. It frequently checks its own privelage and also acknowledges the hierarchies within the greater lgbtqi+ community. The white lesbian host (Zoë Coombs Marr - total legend) enlisted another interviewer to discuss first nations topics, and I was FLOORED by the bit above about racial fetishisation. I have never felt so seen on Australian TV before. There was even a whole bit leading up to this about gay Arabs. Like what??
